"Show 1210 Talking about the president sorry I didn't see this earlier in the show With the teachers of the year in the east room at The White House and I think this was calculated to make a statement All right the first one the edge political agenda That's what I explained why look for every everything things can be both political and they can be correct sometimes And I happen to think he's discounting there Why people are so upset You know and that presupposes the president saying these people are just being goaded by politicians No we all know what happened Parents saw what was being taught because they were home They saw more of the zoom thing they got more involved They started going to school board meetings They were not listened to They were shut down They were told two minutes Now shut up we'll make these decisions And it's gone on from there And then some of these things are so private so you got to know you're in a minefield Young kids and sexuality You got to be transparent with the parents every step of the way here with this No we don't We're the experts It's not about expertise all the time Now in math you might say it's expertise If the parent says well I don't like the way you're teaching calculus et cetera All right that might be a little bit different But it's there Right wrong or indifferent even if they're a bit off on that that is a fundamental thing And the president is pushing back on that You know somebody told me during a break a great point though that we may be back in the day maybe you grew up in a neighborhood where you had other parents other people that would watch you and say yo stop doing that I'll tell your parents Well that's kind of shared thing They were acting in the role in loco parentis but it's entitlement with your parent not that they're taken over Biden's reacting to what he says is the other side telling teachers that they're not the parent they're not your kids at that point Well you can grow close to them You can do great things with them but they are not your child particularly if it comes in the conflict with the parent and as long as the parent is not doing something illegal or something negligent you gotta step carefully here with this Don't you Even if I would look at it and say yeah I don't think that parents on the mark in this situation I think you gotta be pretty careful about it It's a judgment that a parent gets to make not the teacher as much Justin is a Manchester New Hampshire next Hey Justin welcome in Hi DOM Thank you for taking my call I really appreciate it And thank you for filling in for Jim DOM You always do an outstanding job every time Thank you Oh you're welcome Yeah I'm with you Tom I completely agree with you in your right I don't see how anyone can argue with that Well so called president yes no I completely disagree I think he's wrong as usual And the thing is he doesn't even try to unite the country I mean every time he makes a speech every time he implements an executive order you still want peace doing more damage He's tearing us apart even more I mean that's what he does constantly And I know I'm tired of it I'm sure And look Justin I'm trying to look at this because it wasn't all over the media It seemed to me this was thought out rather than just off the coffees there but teachers of the year he's trying to pump them up Then you know what He's incapable of being a communicator This is just outright divisive It's cartoonish There are people that do things for political agenda But the parents are doing it because they've been wronged in these situations Thank you Justin Thanks very much for the call Rob is next here on the Jimbo handing show Hey rob welcome in I appreciate you having me I honestly asked me that we even have to be having this conversation As a parent my youngest is 22 years old now It's fresh out of college I can not imagine what these parents are going through Knowing their kids are trying to be taught this It's just disgusting But I think it leads up to what the Dems have been trying to do for a long time Normalize pedophilia I think it's exactly what it comes down to Is that what they're trying to do normalize this I don't know that I don't know that Biden is doing that here This is a broader thing There are some though you're right that have gone way out of Well first of all sexualizing kids at that young of an age is just a bad idea Thank you rob Thanks very much With the president this is deeper though He sees this as a political front they're going to open up and they're going to challenge and a lot of it is just saying really You want to fight on this battlefield by telling people hey they're your kids when they're in the classroom to these teachers Don't let anybody tell you differently Really Is that a winning strategy aside from whether it's right I don't think it is But I don't think he just got wound up I think you know he may have missed what they told him to say or how they practiced this with the teachers of the year there But this is way off the mark We saw what happened with Terry McAuliffe He shot off his big mouth He should have won that governor's race based upon the demographics et cetera young can know tapped into a lot of suburban moms independent voters vaguely Republican or Democrat and men he once significantly there Why I brought you back to that principle in the beginning It's a fundamental thing It's your kid it's always going to be your kid Now the way that that relationship changes with mom and dad over the years we all know that right But if it's a great relationship there is a respect there And there is a pride and there is a I'll go to my depth to protect that child in any way that I can help them along Even if they're out of college even if they're out of the house now just think of how that feels if they're in school at a pretty young age Of course I don't know if the teachers I'll try to have the sound tomorrow night I don't know if the teachers applauded it That's right You know that's what we're going to hear the teachers union That's all that you have to do You got to consider here that you're on the wrong path with this And if you keep on doubling down you are going to get the Macaulay effect here People are going to go what Oh I got to hear that Come on now The president didn't say that The Democrats really are not putting it on the table and saying that we're tired of hearing this they're yours when they're in the classroom Not all these parents making all this huffing and that's just agenda No it's not And again I gave you the point Let's say this is math or something Just it's a for instance All right How many parents would have the same expertise say as a teacher of calculus at the high school level Very few So you know you might talk to the teacher you know and try to figure out what they're doing with marking or grading or this assignment or whatever You have every right to do that as a parent But usually you're not going to see one challenge you on calculus No these are about sexuality Private difficult things that the parent wants to explore with their child When they think it's the right time in the right way that's why many schools transparently will say this might be a sensitive subject you should be aware you have a right to opt out we hear that all the time I mean we even do it with the salute to the flag right Because that's a weighty thing parents their kid may object for whatever the reason is or their parents object there's a right to opt out usually And people on the left usually respect that well you got to respect these parents who might be biblically based on some of this stuff Who knows Now that doesn't mean every single thing that would be chaos It means though you know when you're getting into areas that are going to be areas of contention Right It would be like I'm a former English teacher If I were reading huckleberry Finn with a class today I'd have to have a lot of permission as much as I think it's a Great American Novel because of.

"Maniac We've had quite a few Stephen Atlanta good evening Steve Why are you Jim I'm fine Thank you That's a stupid question No no no no You should never ask that when you call somebody Okay How are you doing Thank you I'm well thank you Yes all doing well here What's on your mind Did I see you I say that the question you have asked is impossible I mean it will lead to a lot of really strange and interesting conversations but let's say that Jim bohannon was president for the day and Jim bohannon had both houses of Congress in super majorities What would Jim though hand in do And then there's the question Well all right I'll answer that question certainly I would start with whatever I could do executive orders the legislation getting started through Congress for tightening border security finishing the wall and so on and so forth I would certainly open up once again The fracking and the shale oil production in this country And the pretty much you could go through that I would do what can be done at the federal level which is not a lot To curb urban crime unfortunately that remains principally a state and local jurisdictional item although certainly the power of the federal dollar I would predicate federal aid on doing something about that Don't let some of the things I would do Mike in Denver good evening Mike Jim thank you for taking my call and thank you for all Q Cathy and Alex and everyone behind the scenes they make the show what it is To me So Jim I wanted to bring up something a little bit different with your permission But I think it's pretty important So today unfortunately marks the one year anniversary of the deaths of Rush Limbaugh and I think as you were alluding to earlier I think in the years that he's been gone this country has really moved even more to the extreme left What do you think he would say about the state of our country if he was still around today I think just to digress what we've been talking about that he would say what he's always said that things are wrong They're now more wrong and that he would outline the various things that we need to do to make it better So I think that thanks to circumstances he wouldn't have to change a thing Jim driving through Cleveland hello How you doing I'm well Thank you What's on your mind You know what The first thing I do if I was president I get all my Friends and family together pack them in that big airplane and fly around for a few hours Fair enough All right Air Force One we're going joyriding Anybody want to go to McDonald's How about McDonald's on the French Riviera There you go Justin and Manchester New Hampshire good evening Thank you for taking my call How do I top that Right there But yeah I'll tell you Jim if I was commander in chief for 24 hours I know that doesn't give us much time but yes I would do everything that you just named off I love all the ideas you have and plus I would if it was within my means I would put as many troops as we could spare on the southern border with Mexico along with getting the wall construction This would of course would be depending on whether or not we deemed what's happening in the southern border and invasion of the United States there is of course the posse capitalis law which precludes the use of the military for pure law enforcement if in fact the courts ruled that our southern border crisis is merely an issue of law enforcement which I think would be incorrect It is an invasion but then that law would have to be changed in order for you to use the troops on the border Personally my interpretation would be that it is an invasion and entirely within the province of the commander in chief to so deploy those troops that would be what I would say But I'm not the courts But I think it would be an excellent idea Something that we ought to continue once we get an actual president back in office who knows when that will be Alex and Myrtle Beach South Carolina good evening Thank you This is all I got off from the launch up again of course your shareholders right My favorite pass on that forget all four Relationship That is so easy We're not heard this I have to call on again I called him the last time I had to call him what would I do is that so easy I've had this going through my mind is I would cancel NPR and today we should not know what the initials NPR means national public radio I love NPR I've listened to for years and years and years Last week I tuned in again on listening to they have great shows And great programming lots of money And I know that most of the funding comes from not government the corporate entities However they do get a huge chunk of federal money and certainly a president could lobby for Congress to cut off that money I have no reason.

"They had to jump through all kinds of hoops They had to change all kinds of things to make to get it past the parliamentarian As I recall it's remotely possible that I'm off on this but Jack I think that that's So this is the challenge So the question is are they going to come up with a compromise like they did with ObamaCare That is acceptable to Manchin and cinema at the very least And still try to do it through reconciliation I don't know I'm very skeptical and I'm very concerned But Jack thanks for the call Daniel and Manchester New Hampshire hey Daniel what's on your mind doing I wanted to counter the caller It's been a while since I called you I'm actually Daniel and South Carolina now but it's on Carolina Okay I'll make that parent South Carolina East over middle of nowhere What am I northwest of Columbia Okay Yes sir So an earlier caller called in asking how is Biden going to get around the poll numbers or what was he going to do about it And I think the issue there is one Democrats don't like to hit back hard or even hit back with the truth sometimes if it's going to send somebody And two the media like the quote unquote liberal media isn't helping them out You ask questions about like how do you feel about your response to COVID or jobs numbers when they're hiding jobs numbers and they're not asking the question Is there do you think there's anything you can possibly do to get right wingers who will not follow science who will not take a vaccine even if it makes you See what Austria just announced they're doing the country of Austria No sir what's that And Austria has a huge right wing movement They were more Nazi than the Nazis back in the day You know when they just announced that they're doing an absolute total vaccine mandate everybody has to be vaccinated and they're going to roll it out in March And if police stop you for a traffic stop and you can't prove your vaccine status it's a thousand yards It's a 400 dollar fine in the second time It's over a $1000 fine I mean they're just they're going full on it They're saying this country's going to be vaccinated damn it I agree with the safety element of it The problem is it would never work here And I can't go to work fine here We do it with polio We do it with we did it with smallpox But that was before Fox News I can tell you I am in law enforcement I am in law enforcement here And COVID went through our training division rampant because people in positions of authority said it's just a flu Don't worry about masking up Everybody's going to get it So they treat it kind of like chickenpox The latest statistics COVID killed in the last two years COVID has killed more police officers than all other causes in the last decade Have you taken a look at police officers these days We probably have some comorbidities Yeah I had to be like that but one you match ignorance with laziness and I'm not saying all police officers Again I am one But it is a right wing institution even though there are unions up north but it's like you just said before they are very anti union here They're not South Carolina is not trying to stay where it is South Carolina is trying to go backwards And it's just stuff like that That won't work in the U.S. when you've seen it Lockdowns will not work here again You may be right Daniel I hope not but if you try Thanks a lot for the call And thank you.

"Here is what's happening in California. Today, Voters decide on whether to end the governorship of Gavin Newsom. I'm going to break this Jedi mind trick stranglehold that Democrats have over black and brown voters, and that is why I believe Obama and Bernie Sanders and Senator Warren and the others have come to California and weighed in on This race when they cannot defend the indefensible record. "One factory. It's like robbing like you gotta steal these coupons and sell them to families who really need them. That's money in the bank When I first heard that this was about couponing I didn't know if it was about the extreme couponing. If you don't remember what that was about 10 12 years ago, maybe 15. There was this push for extreme couponing where what you did is you got all these different coupons. And you basically tracked how they scanned and what people do is they would engage in fraud where they would scan a coupon for crest. But they go by, like the sample size one that was actually costs less than the coupon took off. So there's all that stuff and the retailers plugged a lot of those holes. So you can't do the extreme couponing the way they were. It was a big thing, but it actually amounted to fraud. That's what I thought this was about. It's not. I mean, they talk about it being a real case. I didn't read much up about what happened in the real case. The basic story behind this is Kristen Bell plays this housewife and She's not having a great relationship with her husband, played by Joel McHale, and their marriage is falling apart. They had some some bad pregnancy or whatever miscarriage. And so she's trying to get back on her feet and sort of find self worth, and she's a big coupon her but the whole thing she stumbles upon. How to get free coupons like a lot of times if you have a problem with the real Taylor or not even a retailer, but the manufacturer will send you say, Oh, here's You know, you didn't like our box of Wheaties. Here's here's free box of Wheaties. Hopefully, this one's better, and she found a way to do that. But that involves them going like to Mexico to the place where they print the coupons and and being able to smuggle them out. And so you're dealing with international law and The FBI could be involved because it's interstate commerce and you're dealing with fraud and smuggling. I mean, there's a lot of issues that they open up and I don't know how much of this is real, or how much of it is. You know, given a little bit of, you know, dramatic license. But there's another woman in town that she works with to do this, and they're really just two idiots doing that. And that's really where the fun part of this movie. Is it just telling the story of it. That's okay. I mean, it's an interesting story, but it could be about anybody. It's the fact that they're complete novices at this and they don't know how to launder money. And they don't know how to set up of fraudulent bank account. They don't even know how to navigate PayPal and what triggers PayPal like freezer account because they have too much money going in and out. And that's where it's funny because you're watching them. Just stumbling through this where a real criminal would know what they're doing. Then, of course, On the other hand, you've got the people trying to take him down, and it's all run by Paul Walter Houser who everybody has seen him in, like Richard Jewel. He was also in I Tonya great actor, but he's very funny in this because he is super overzealous. I mean, he's sort of like a comedic version of Richard Jewel from the Richard Jewel movie where he just He's so wants to be a level of authority and he and he really doesn't have it And he's kind of a bumbling idiot. But he's very passionate about his stuff, and he ends up getting her notice because there was a lot of complaints about this, and he ends up pairing up with a postal inspector played by Vince Vaughn, who was sort of almost a straight man in this situation, which is a little bit rare for. I mean, Vince Funk will play the straight man. And that's what makes this movie enjoyable is it's over the top and silly nature and the fact that these criminals are idiot criminals. They don't know exactly what they're doing. And the guy who's I mean, Vince Vaughn knows what he's doing, because he's a puzzle inspector. But this loss prevention manager at this grocery chain. He is just so overly zealous. But it's so passionate about what he does and and the characters are all committed. The actors are what makes us work because they're committed to those roles. Even Kristen Bell's character who has the most growth, and that's to her Really is kind of this bizarre caricature of a would like to refer to as a happy go lucky Karen. I mean, she's not the Karen that makes your life a living. Hell is a As a retailer because, she complains, she just is the one who always has a fixed ACA coupons. That's bigger than her stack of cash, you know, but I found this very funny. It was light and silly and stupid. It's not look. It is not a heavy, hard hitting movie, and it's not to be taken overly seriously. And you know, it's not about the nuance of coupon delivery. But it tells that story of that person who Has kind of a humdrum life who wants something bigger and gets involved in something that excites them. But it's also very, very funny, cause you got a lot of people who have a lot of experience with comedy. In particularly Kristen Bell and Vince Vaughn. But they take their roles seriously enough that it's still plays as a real thing, and that's kind of what I found such a charm about this. I know it's not getting great reviews, but I liked it. I thought it was fun. So I'm gonna have to say Queen pins kind of rocks kind of rocks. You're listening to fat guys had the movies with Kevin Car. Let's talk about small engine repair. How many cliches. And my introducing here. And how do i get rid of those. They just want them to be different. I want my stories to be different whether people like them or not. I don't want them to think that they had some kind of cookie cutter routine. So that's always kind of a challenge. Yeah see i'm someone who loves cliches but in books a lot i also really love like what your book Breeding the dead husband right now and it keeps taking me completely by surprise because it doesn't uses many of those cliches and i love that kept gasping upstairs when i was reading it. I had fun writing. That's the first book that i've written. I created a fictional town and that was that was interesting to me to do that. And to be able to kind of world build a little bit out. Can you expand on that a little bit. Yeah so. I knew. I wanted this book to take place in the northeast. I had written a book. Mr tenders girl. That took place in manchester new hampshire. And what they don't point out is exactly what you pointed out that these goons these tyrants imagined that the people who they arrested owed them some money for some type of a thing which they never participated in. They didn't risk any money. They didn't put in any labor themselves to help. How is it that they can imagine that. These people o- them anything i was. They're not in any way shape or form actually living the live free or die motto and and that's sad ten. There are these people that believe in their heart of hearts that you belong to society and i don't mean are a member of society. I mean they believed the nature of reality is that you are owned by the society that you happen to be born into and that since government is the legitimate expression of the most complete desires of that society that you must obey whatever the government tells you to do. That's what they believe and you owe them in fact you owe them one hundred percent of your income and they're just nice enough to let you keep seventy percent so horrible thing to believe horrible thing to believe Let's go to rob calling from vermont. They had just a boatload information that just helps other media members, like myself get the stuff that we need to know and and and out there to to our followers so long good stuff. Yeah it is. It's it's good to have the HL back and hopefully minor league hockey can can get through this situation and get back to being healthy financially and and being able to have a dog. Fall season 21 22 and with with fans back and is able to survive, you know, this this whole situation for sure, especially it seems my funded by their their parent club for sure offer like the Providence Bruins, right? And that's that's let's listen. It's no surprise that they are but hopefully they can they can do that next item. Is this interesting phone numbers game here eleven twelve and thirteen line is that's the first time the Bruins have had a line with three straight numbers since the 17 18 19 line of blue Cheech Horton a second. So is it was an interesting, you know, interesting stat that that came out the other day that they have a line that's eleven twelve thirteen and it's Frederick and off and coil and Smith. And again, they were terrific and they were really really good and I'm really excited to see them play this week particularly against it seemed like the Penguins so I just don't think a very good defensively dead. And I think that they're going to possess the puck and really wreak havoc against the Penguins for sure. Okay, I'm lost here Matt. All right. So the line is I know about 17 is luge. Yeah eighteen was Horton in nineteen was Sagan Sagan. Yeah, I didn't know Horton was the center. Yeah, I was saying. Oh no, no. No, I'm looking at it. Yeah. Yeah. I'm looking at it cuz it says Seventeen eighteen. Okay connect saying was the center right? Yeah. So it's it's I think witness is interesting interesting string of numbers for line, but it's pretty funny though. Yeah, it is kind of reminds me cuz I'm I'm an l a Kings fan cuz cuz the Manchester Monarchs were up in Manchester New Hampshire and it's it's only forty minutes away 40 miles away from me. Right and Providence used to play up there like twelve times. So I go up there all the time but it reminded me of the seventies line and they used to cuz they got it off of the 70 Show dead. It was Tyler toffoli. It was I can't remember his name now and somebody else and Tanner Pearson Tyler toffoli Channel person and with Jeff Carter Jeff. They were all they were all 70s numbers and somebody came out with that seventies line. That's pretty cool..

"30 A M 1200 A, M and Ronnie a couple of stations up in Manchester, New Hampshire, So we're expanding our audience on our regular basis. That's always good to hear, And there's always especially in this environment. There's always a good cause for having more talk show hosts like you on the air as many places as we can possibly work him in. With with this. We're allowed to be on the air. I was going to say with the social media shutdowns and canceled culture and all of the rest, and it only seems to be ramping up at this point. But I'll be honest with you. I did not see Biden's inaugural speech today. I purposely Was watching. I think blue bloods reruns of all things with my wife. I just I've had enough. There's a point, especially when you do talk as much as I do and a lot of political talk of overload, and it wasn't just that. I'm not listening to those side. But I have promised I have vowed Gary Goldman. To accord Joe Biden the same amount of respect that the left accorded Donald Trump in his four years. I I'm trying to be fair. As they said, people I feel that way. They're doing the same thing. I think that's Equity. Joe. I know Joe Biden didn't talk about inequity, not equality, but inequity today. Spend the best way my good friend Lowell Ponti, who did watch the speech and kind of filled me in on what the new president had to say today. Filled me in on some of the finer points of which he found very few in the speech. In fact, he said, there was really nothing memorable, memorable about it and you watched it. You also said That I don't know if it was so much a speech is just a rehash of Of tired old ideas and symbolism, But I mean, there was no the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. There was Noah's Ask not what your country can do for you ask what you can do for your country. There was no moment like that in the speech was there No, there was no moments like that at all. I mean, you know the when I listened, and every time this is now President Biden talks and he speaks about unity at the same time. They talk about the white supremacy, right supremacy and and you know, it sort of take that. Of course. The left always likes to finding things, but they're making their own definitions. But Any trump supporters. A white supremacist. So you know you're talking about unity, and at the same time you're taking 75 million people Plus and you're just wiping them, You know, let's get rid of them and You know, we'll forget about that. But the hypocrisy is there is going to be there. I think we know what they're a gender. We have a good idea What is a gender and this administration's agenda is going to be. I mean, the first thing is going to be wipe out as many things that President Trump did. That helped the American people and I think that's where we're up for, and I think the globalism is going to increase it on the increasing rate and we're going to see gas prices, which have already started to rise rise on a regular basis. I think the American people are going to be in for a little more than they anticipated. You know? Look what you take personality over policy that sometimes that's how I like to refer to President Trump didn't was like is personality, but I agreed with many, many things that he did. This is what we're up against. And people are going to find out the hard way. Actions speak louder than words and just ignore the words and look at what the results were. The results were The most incredibly accelerated, booming economy we had seen in decades unemployment rates that had never been seen before, across the board of all all colors, all genders. All age groups, wages that were, you know, setting records people's personal money in their pockets, setting records the deregulation bringing businesses back to this country. Uh, the not standing for our so called allies and friends, not paying their bills demanding actual fair trade. With countries like China. Which is part and parcel. The reason communist China's stood behind Joe Biden. There's a lot of other reasons he's been in there. He's been in there money bag for quite a few years back to being vice president. Maybe before that, and it's really you gotta ask yourself to Gary. Maybe you do. I don't know if you do or not, But I do since he's one of my senators from Kentucky, where Mitch McConnell's allegiances actually lie. With his wife, Elaine Chao. And is he also a calm chai? Uh, In the bag for Teaching Ping as Joe Biden obviously is, Yeah, I think that's a very legitimate question based on the relationship there and with his wife, but you know, you gotta look at Mitch McConnell. I think Mitch McConnell's political career is over after what he didn't say. Um And but he just got re elected for another six years. But he got reelected on the coattails of Donald J. Trump pretending he was a Trumpster. You know, supported this president. You have supported this president. From the time he has been in office so that you know, he played along with him did what he had to do to get re elected. That's my feeling on that. But you know what he did the other day is going to cost him it on, and I hope My words come true. His political career looking you, don't you He's playing. He's playing the two sides here, you know, I I know why he's doing it based on the situation of these and in the Senate, But he's playing it to the point where he's going to. First of all hurt the Republican Party and again the 75 million people out there are looking at this saying We're going to do whatever we can to get this guy out of office and or make his life miserable and what and when I say, miserable from.
