"West coast. What are your thoughts on clinton by field. So far the i remember i saw early for the first time at the world. Juniors and you can really see the potential he has really disruptive forechecking went notes forward and i just it kind of reminded me of beyond luchino and if he know it's tough when you're that high of a draft pick your second overall people expect you know gretzky and matthew's mcdavid of. He has a career like lucia. That would be a great career. I mean if you play thousand games in the nhl that's a great career but to be ferocious or check be a real big time. Game disruptor with his reaches four check That's really you are who you are and you wanna play to your strengths. And i hope he has that tenacious really fiery type before checking game. Because i can cause turnovers and get to the net get to the front of the net and use size. Simon really rooting for him hard. I hope he does while. You're right the kings are a great markets. And it'd be great for them to come back to the forefront of the west and of course. Espn has a studio out there. It's a great five in ans- great to be as you know it's great to be a sports fan the west coast. Everything's on earlier. Everything's the big games are on earlier and So it's it's awesome some room for him like you said it's a good pool two good prospect pool. But now you've got the decisions. Now become more difficult and more tenuous doubt. Make the right calls to kind of fill the rest of the gaps. But they're in a great position. Come back won't you put your gym hat on. And that's interesting that you bring that up because obviously we've got a lot of young kids that are ready to make that next step or at least getting very close. In your opinion you know given the kings roster. You've got your cope it's ours you've got your dust and browns in your in your ju doughty's who are still the top of their game or if not very close you'll where do you see the kings going in terms of needing additions or what you think that. They need to bring up in terms of their lineup. Like i said this is where it gets difficult. You probably got at some point. Identify a player that you want. You might have to package some of these young guys to get someone you know more in their prime ready to go you and you don't have too many young in too many guys of alistair. I'm sure the one one situation Me at some point like the reopen up cap room to get even more some more young player. Maybe even some are essays for him. It's like you gotta have the coporate. Tara thinks the only guy he's gonna be gonna retire king. Uc's berge on eastern guy knows me is number on the raptors obviously going balloting So these decisions signed veterans. How much you give them. And then what. What are we deal with some of these. Rfa's who who. Identifying a goal eat is gigantic as we know some teams. Don't have one in. That's just you can't do anything without good goaltending and of course they've had that for so long it's why they got the cups they do So they know how were. These are all the tough decisions. What veterans do trade. What do we hang onto. How many the young guys hang onto. Would we identify as the core joey. Maybe trade couple the others to to get some guidance suddenly becomes available out of nowhere that you don't really even expect so it's a we align ourselves when david posture knocked becomes a free agent because he's woefully underpaid now and we keep a slot open whatever that sought is nine million eight million nine point two and we identify him so these are all things that gm's obviously talking just having the nfl draft s. Fun part of the end for that. That's why as you sources so much fun. People love building teams and making trade and trying to pretend they're smarter than everybody else in. What is the smart move. So yeah these are the big decisions now the tough decisions going forward rallying to make that jump that will i mean you brought him up earlier in you know you talk about on pico. His you know someone. That seems to be untouchable. Where do you put him in terms of this generation's talent across the nhl right. He's right there like you talked about. There is an east coast. Bias is just so many people are in bed when he plays that kind of like the media in most of the people are still in that new york to washington dc cord. That's most people country live. That's while the wealth the money that drives ratings you know in philadelphia. Dc in boston. New york In like i said he's right. There with patrice bergeron. People conversion gets a lot of attention. Simvastatin that a cool name at that goal. French swag polite go petar rape quiet and classy in this. Look at me eros or it's in media and stuff like that. These are very clack. I've always been kind of attracting those guys. It goes back to the larry bird and bobby your for me. Couple of boyhood heroes. I just liked how quiet they let all the accolades come to them. It seems like more. Come to you when you When you don't kind of shine it on yourself or those are two examples. That guy is just not the right way. Like i said he's obviously a first ballot hall of famer thousand eight thousand point guy. That's the ultimate goal when you get into sleek thousand points thousand games that's like man that is the one you'd pencil win for sure and nia like i said he's right there hockey hall of famer king's legends stanley cup champion. The better matt off the gulf to sell off there we go. We'll hey bucci. I appreciate the time best of luck when we Get to find a little bit more about your involvement with espn and the nhl. Now coming together next year and For those of you. Who aren't necessarily familiar. Where can we find. What can we watch you on while we're at right now so those sports centers on. Espn up primetime. Out there in los angeles us around the clock where you guys are but yeah. We're on twitter at which across love talking about hockey in discussing hockey and say with instagram. Of course got the who toto ot dot com sells t-shirts swag and just like the light to Love love the hockey community. As you know. Jack your aunt got got the biggest heart and the most fun and people. I've been your charity events. And that was that was about heart and it was about fun. And that's what you want to make. Sure people have fun while displayed their big heart. And that's the best part about the sport. While i look forward to seeing you again Definitely talking to you again as espn starts covering the game a little bit more late for you brother anytime anything for you..

"Buccigross. He sat down and spoke to jackie. Lonski recently about the deal. What's up kings vans. Jackie ski here talking about the future of hockey and broadcasting in particular joining me. Is john buccigross sportscenter house college broadcaster in the heart of logging. Espn bucci main. How are you man. Ready to see him a mand. Jack hair looks phenomenal. Like put titles on top about it hit a wedge about one. Thirty five stiffs pervade. You're down in florida as the gulf game. It's not bad last few times. Got some hope last two times with me. Good maybe it's all the nhl mojo but Hoping for a good twenty twenty one will. I can hear the excitement in your voice is obviously a lot of excitement around. Espn in the nhl knows just announced a few A month or so ago that. Espn is got hockey for the next seven years You someone who's kept hockey alive since it lasts left in two thousand and four from espn What were your initial thoughts on. What's the excitement level around the company. We kind of knew it was coming even a year out your to opt. We saw as sounds like it's saudi pretty good and the nhl wants multiple platforms multiple partners and To get the message out with a great game that we love and of course about a month before or does definitely done then. You just waiting here for that report to come down and hope that it's true kind of like the birth of a child. You know what's going to happen but then out when the baby arrives it's still is something you can never really imagine so. The excitement was really. I thought it would cause a nice job in the game amongst the players and the fans and it really did. The day that the it was officially announced i think even our executives probably surprised by the amount of nostalgia that hockey fans you know. Twenty five you gotta be really at least twenty to twenty five to remember when espn had hot in if you're if you're seventeen years old or younger hasn't been on espn two thousand four so and even when you're two or three really can't remember so let's get someone you know five years old When you really start maybe remember television even seven. Yeah really it's a different crowd So now we gotta you know. All these people like i said twenty five and younger Pretty much we gotta say. Hey we did this before. Here's how we're gonna do it again. We have fun. We love it and so now. It's a new generation. Will you join in two thousand nine hundred ninety six. The spn backward hockey was obviously still there. You had your primary host of nhl tonight which was obviously a hockey show dedicated to the highlights in the game itself from i believe ninety eight zero four. You're someone that's kept this thing alive in being able to keep hockey within. Espn even though it wasn't necessarily covered by you. Are we going to see a return to nhl tonight. What's in the works for you. I'm no idea yet. What my role is. I certainly hope it's a big one. But i don't know yet You know they're trying to build a whole foundation from scratch with obviously analysts and things like that and so certainly the. Nhl tonight was great. When i started hosting internet video was still not very good Yeah poor quality so you need a a tv show was appointment viewing to see all the highlights of the games nowadays. It's different you know. It's people goals on phones so they can see Stuff a lot earlier. Tv has lost some of that immediacy but if people who are who talk about it and i'm sure they'll have a wrap up show every night from all the games on espn plus. I'm sure sports will still follow the games on. Espn and of course abc as their own separate programming local news and other tv shows so nothing espn plus is going to become a great home for hockey fans. All the nhl dot tv stop is coming there so the over a thousand games on there on. I believe it's baked in with the regular subscription which specially if you get the bundle disney and hulu and that it's really a great deal i pay for it. I get it now and other. There's always a couple of games on there so then we'll have our exclusive. Espn plus games will be a big post game show of will be a nightly show like there is now in decrease every goal of every game highlights every night on increase. I imagined that show would continue. And then there would be this post game. Maybe pre-game espn plus element from all those games. So yes the plus is going to be a great home for hockey fans. Thirty show college game for awesome. Lot of student produce college games from the ivy league schools. Quinnipiac a great way for young broadcasters in school to get their stuff on espn plus. I watched law days on there. So it's gonna be exciting. I hope i get the call some games. That's what i really want to do. I've done the last eight frozen fours. I love that. Still do the college hockey. It'll be great to add shelves. Well why no. You've obviously kept the game young. You know you've been obviously very involved on social media with the bushy overtime challenge as we see on that shirt right there It's something that i think is obviously kept the the youth involved. But you look at the future you talk about how there's over thousand games that'll be on. Espn plus with this package Twenty five regular season games on. Espn abc. you're gonna get the playoffs. You'll the stanley cup finals for the next seven years. I believe you guys. Have you know the all star game. The skills challenge. What are you looking forward to most A really just i'm really. I hoped just just to focus only on hockey. The other really be able to come four during the hockey season just talk. Yeah you mentioned hockey's been a big part of my life. I as h. l. tonight hosts and then we lost hockey but both my boys played right through high school. Jack was five my youngest son jack. Great name he's five years. He was five years old when he has lost hockey. And that's what he started. Learning escape restarted travel next year at age. Six in two thousand five so my life with him now. Hockey was still part of my life. That i wanted to. Espn a couple of years after we lost saw unesco. Hey it's okay. If i do some play by play for one of the regionals the ncaa tournament regional. They said sure do that for a few years and then had the guts to ask them how. I want to be the voice of the frozen four. That came up during the negotiation. They said sure. And i took and ran with that too. I tend to take things and run with them. I tend to get very much involved out the guy back in high school who made rankings for the ice bowl teams of the intramural teams in college. I did. I make little newspapers or street hockey leagues that we had in ohio. I think called the hockey news write articles and keep the stats and broadcast games on my tape recorder so i was always that guy who really went ran with things and it's now just happy to my professional life. The college hockey rankings. I do on twitter trying to give them some attention to get some notoriety for them for the men and the women and so yeah. Hockey's been related the central piece of my whole career and i would love now as on the back nine year to finish up all nhl. Safa the spn end. I end still do the college as well. So i'm hoping hockey is my best. Tv friend now. The rest of the way. While i mean i couldn't agree more and it's clear that the future is bright with the nhl moving towards Towards espn next year. One of those teams that we hope to be seeing a lot on. Espn is obviously our very own kings. The future seems to write the the prospect pools loaded one of those guys. Who obviously we're going to hear a lot from his quinton by field who recently made his. nfl debut. I'm interested to get on your tape. You know being an east coast guy. East coast bias was a lot of hockey east coast. But you know being on that.

"On saturday april fourteenth nineteen eighty-four. In cahiers sabine in county kerry ireland a local man jack griffin was out for a jog on white strand fees when he saw what looked like a doll wedged between the rocks in a plastic back. It was the body of a newborn baby. Boy he had been strangled. His neck was broken and his tiny body had twenty eight stab wounds. Four of them were in his heart. The baby was about five days old born on or about the seventh of april and had been dead for two days the irish police known as the gardy recalled and they in turn called the undertaker. Tom carnitine when he arrived tom. Cruise into the baby with water from a nearby freshwater stream. He placed him in a small casket and gave him a name john. The gardy suspected the baby's mother specifically an unmarried mother perhaps a teenage girl or woman who was having an affair with a married man in catholic ireland in the early eighties. Abortion was illegal as was divorce condoms were only available with a prescription and birth control. Pills were only prescribed to married women. Both were difficult to obtain any sex education or lack thereof was laid out by the church. Young unmarried woman found herself pregnant. Her parents could send her away to a church. Run home where she would have her baby in secret and then the nuns would take it away for adoption. Irish women few options could use. Evine was a small town in police. Knew that someone with no something. They questioned women all over town even physically examining some of them for signs of a recent pregnancy before long. They found a suspect joanne hayes. Joanne hayes was a twenty five year old single mother who lived roughly forty miles away. In abbey dorney north kerry. She had recently been pregnant but wasn't anymore and no one had seen a baby. Joanne worked as a receptionist at a gym. It was there that she met the father of her children. Jeremiah block jeremiah. Was married with children so joe am lived with her daughter. Her mother her aunt and her siblings on the family farm. She hid the pregnancy and by april. Her relationship with jeremiah was over joanne. Hayes told police that she gave birth alone on april twelfth but her baby died shortly after she then buried the infant on her family's farm. Burials like this were common as babies who were born out of wedlock or weren't baptized. Were not permitted to be buried in consecrated ground. Babies like joannes received home. Burials after this traumatic birth joanne needed medical attention and it was through the hospital that these authorities discovered her as the guardian interrogated joann. She begged and pleaded insisting that if they would just allow her to show them her baby's grave on the farm. She could prove that she was not responsible for baby john. They refused

"Right, And that's how kids grew up here. And you had all these people like, Listen to this guy. This guy's name's Dave. You know, we were Mallrats. Everyone. Everyone went to the mall like this was what we had to do Because we have cell phones. We didn't have instagram. We didn't have Facebook. We'd all get together. Come up here, you know, just cruise around the mall at the mall. And when you cruise around the mall, you look for your friends. And when you see your friends, E. This is what happened. You say Hey, Where's the party where we're going, And then they'd all figure out a place to go. So it was like a meeting spot on that cruise around around around. What song? Is that? Cruisin Cruising O Go back. This happened long all of the eighties. I mean, people have been writing 50. Yeah. Call Wolf man, Jack Exactly that Everybody's me Huggy, bro. Thanks for calling me by like they were my puppet. So you ready for my review? Because I let's hear there's good, and there's some good and some bad. All right. So first of all, this is not my thing. I didn't grow up here. Not my thing. I went for my wife and I'm telling you, there were thousands of people there. Okay. It was unbelievable. I just want to paint the picture for you Think this is this is the traffic situation. Think Black. Friday Times 10 Think driving the strip in Vegas. Have you ever actually driven the strip in Vegas? Yes, It's one of the scariest places I've ever driven in mind. People are dark now that you and their their their beer is falling, and you know, there's so much traffic darning. So that's kind of what the traffic is like. So we get there and my wife's got this, You know, big sign and says her high school and, you know, you know, out the window and all that kind of stuff, and everything was good. People stayed in their cars and you know they were celebrating and people were, you know, going to the snail's pace around the mall on around the mall. It was fun. Until we got out of the car is going to be a hero. But here's here's Here's the There's good and bad. The bad part because that's the good part. A lot of people had a lot of fun in their cars. They stayed in their cars that safe in their cars. Cove it in the car, right, okay. My wife says, I want to go see a couple friends. What does that mean? We do We have to go. Do we have to leave the car? You know, because you know there are people walking around the parking lot. All that's Yeah, we'll leave. Okay. Put the mask on. And we leave the car. We go talk to her. A few friends where everybody else mast up. Some sambuca some. Not all I mean, were taken out. I feel like you're a person that's taking pictures. I don't want to be a carry on looking at you guys and your colour. Videoing it. No, it wasn't video, and I wanted people to have fun. So so I'm standing on the sidewalk. I've got a mask on. And my wife is talking to a friend and two or three minutes go by and I got to go. I don't feel safe. Really? Yeah. No, I don't feel safe. There are a lot of people walking past me. I think way too many people were out of their cars. And they were bunched up together somewhere, Maren masks and some We're not wearing masks, and that is not what we need to D'oh. Let me let me also say this People that were going we're in their forties and their fifties thes air, intelligent people that know what's going on in the world. Do we need hundreds of people walking around Metro Center? The answer to that is no Metro centre needed that long ago. Yes, that's why they're closed years ago. So I said to go in the mall, by the way, I have no idea. You know, you could go. I didn't know you were going to know you. I think you you good. That's why it's closed. Now. I think there was stuff. So like if you're outside and you're.

"It. The sort of thing they've got on MSNBC that a male possibly in his fifties has been taken in by the FBI in the bombing case, I'm assuming is a white man, Jack, and my greatest fears a backlash against white people. That was a bitter parody of every time a Muslim fellow brought blows something up people who say that. We'll be fine. Nobody backlash against anybody. I just want to see what the have been focusing on activity around an auto parts store, and what I fear most is backlash against auto part stores. Now, FOX does not have breaking news. Somebody's been arrested. Fox is usually a little slower to jump on stories for whatever reason I'd say to their credit, but I'd say it's because they got to get the okay from the president. I CNN is saying federal authorities arrest man in connection with packages containing suspected explosive. So they're going with the rest MSNBC is going with man in his fifties detained of course, they're building their whole way in his fifties. Possibly a weathered forty eight year old jacker a very youthful sixty two year old back to you. But they are building their whole older white male narrative. So they wanna make sure they get the age in there. Right. Fox has some leggy Hadi's discussing something non I kid. I kid I Perry. You don't. So they're still going with the two suspicious packages found earlier addressed to Cory Booker and James Clapper. They're not at least with their their headlines saying they got somebody. But they do have somebody the FBI has somebody and any details we come up with? We'll pass you along. I wanted to mention this a guy who's an expert in this sort of thing writing for the Washington Post on why the bombs didn't go off. I'm a trained to post blast investigator. Who has worked many bombing cases all the way back to the ninety three World Trade Center. He says the bombs were most likely based on what he's seen not designed to go off. They were designed terrifying. Not to kill not not to explode a based on what he knows as an expert in this sort of thing. Okay. I think that's kind of interesting. Yeah. I think that's pretty likely the case that many bombs not one of them went off, right? Right. Good good. So unlike the Unabomber packages, which were cleverly disguised so that recipients would actually open them and many people got injured as we all remember these current devices were mailed or delivered in padded Manila envelopes with very little effort to disguise their contents. And key. He could also be a complete nutjob. Right. So it really is based on what we know so far which will change it really is just an incredibly ill conceived prank to Twitter, Sean, I want I want unsubstantiated details from Twitter people who have no idea what they're talking about. That's what I'm looking for. New York Times had an article today. This person is likely facing one hundred years in prison, or our based on all the charges, obviously, there'd be a lot of churches here. First of all just sending a bombed. Anyone is going to get you in jail for a long time. How about you need start sending bombs to former presidents and current senators? Yeah. So then that added level probably across state lines and all kinds of different career. Are we on the question of was the contents of the bombs actually unexploded powder or or material are former NYPD guests earlier said they're not sure yet is that what he says still being tested. I believe is what he said. Statement about if it was just cat litter. It wouldn't be in the news. Okay. Gotcha. Okay. Is that like a hint or do? I misunderstand you. So US Justice department spokesperson there will be a press conference at two thirty eastern time to discuss that's not early enough. Can you call them and ask him the early early? So I just. If you send zone, the heart. The auto parts store where the man has been arrested apparently is an auto zone. Not a Napa. Or what are the what are the other guys these pet pep boys pep boys, even in mind, as you're selecting your windshield wipers, now, even in my so anyway, I just it is interesting that it is a serious serious crime to send somebody what looks like a bomb, but could no more explode than you know, my coffee mug, but that's still crime. One hundred years long time in jail and since he's the guy likely and he's fifties. According to MSNBC, and that'll be the rest of his life in jail. Can't wait to hear more about this. Boy, you know, it's going to be the. Ensuing. Discussion this truly annoying something to all. Yeah. Oh god. If there is there is any Trump paraphernalia in this man's mobile home. I'm picturing forget it. That just forget it don't turn on cable. What if he turns out to be a big Bernie guy Salen sending bombs tool bomb and Cory Booker doubted? False flag operating. It's the double reverse you're going to get your man on the street or the employees. I always knew he was weird Arroyo. Yeah. We got to jump in. And I would like to say to the guys, and it's always geyser appears to be guys who send us the emails that kashogi actually walked free. And this is a conspiracy against the blah, blah, blah. All right dudes. Go ahead. Send your Bernie fan. Emails. That's fine with your links to wackadoo websites that I can easily ascertain her fake. But go ahead and send them, but still could be. I don't think that's. Yeah. It's it's it's a long shot. But it's possible Twitter is being raped weights responsible right now, I'm not seeing any sort of wild speculation social media. Check yourself. Yeah. Well, I'm looking at this, autozone. Completely empty parking lot. The guy was taken out of his house or something like that. You'd have neighbors talking already and all that sort of stuff. But I think they found a way to apprehend this guy nobody around quickly like you're talking about earlier. And so I don't know how many people saw it aware of the FBI announced yesterday. This was their number one priority. I think when you become the FBI's number one priority, you get caught in most cases. Yes. If you're in the United States, it seems the FBI got in the zone, Jack, autozone. That's right. All right. So that's it. That's all now like cable news. We can keep saying the same thing over and over again and go to experts who might explain the sort of person who might do this. We got somebody who was there at the autozone. Yeah. Howard. Stern's prenatal. Baba? That's of no help. I heard I think it was Fox News yesterday. They said we're now going to talk to Jim Henderson who was across the street from the post office when the packages to vice president Biden were discovered. Tell us about a gym. Well, it was there. There are a lot of police there and fire trucks and they had their lights on and they went into the building. Thank you. Jim honest to goodness. That was it. Wow. Yeah. Cable news, sonic. I'm not listening to the cable news. I'm watching it. But I'm thinking that van that they keep showing in the parking. Lot of the autozone is the van of the guy. Yes. Older van like your old style. Van like, your good times van with the big windows on the side, and some sort of posters or pictures or something. Windows are obscured by. Like, a mosaic or various posters signs and placards, he appears to have some sort of bumper stickers or something we need to zoom in on that what does the bumpers thinkers say. Is that a woman president or you know, some sort of figure? Yeah. Save the sales. You know, God dang stereo, as we always say stereotypes exist for a reason that is the vehicle I would sketch for the sorta guy that mailed around a bunch of unexploded pipebombs. I would I would have said he drives something that looks a lot like this. He's a husky white guy several days growth of beard, fifty plus lives in Florida drives a van with a lot of wacky bumper stickers on it. There's a shock, right. Try not to be cliche, folks. That's what advice for the day and his friends or not to be a type and his friends or family or co workers are going to say, you know, if I was going to name one person, I thought it would have been all willy, right? And it turned out it was. So that's what will happen. We'll we'll bring you any details as soon as they come whether they're substantiated because that's sort of organization. We are. Here's.
