"For Paul. Of hesitating, I'm hesitant to say this, but I do not want to say better call Gaul. I do not like that. Producer Danny B force dead on me. Force that on me. 85 5 two four two 7 two 8 5. If you want to call the show, ACC media days coming up, 9 quarterbacks are going to be in attendance at ACC media days coming up. I believe it's the 20th ish. I think it's late next week for the ACC always one of the better events. And filled your COVID from Boston college, DJ ooey Angela Lake and to be there for Clemson, Jordan Travis. A guy that I think people need to pay attention to at Florida state as they continue to get better and better over the course of the second half of last season. I think Florida state is going to be a tricky dangerous team this year. Malik Cunningham, of course, at Louisville, who I feel like has been around for the better part of 500 years. For the Cardinals, Tyler Van Dyke might be a first round draft pick in Mario Cristobal's first year at Miami. He's going to be there at ACC media days Garrett Schrader who I think is an underrated player. I don't know if he's going to be ever one of the most consistent and accurate passers, but he is a freak of an athlete, a really good runner of the football. He'll be there for Syracuse. One man offense, Brendan Armstrong last year who I think was accounting for like 400 yards of total offense every game for Virginia. He will be there. Sam Hartman, who accounted for 50 touchdowns last year. And as I believe, also in his 16th year starting for wake forest is going to be there. And I think the most underrated quarterback in the country. Yes, that's right. I think the most underrated quarterback potentially in the country. Is a guy that is going to be on a top 15 team on a team that could compete for a playoff spot and could compete for a conference championship. In the ACC. And I know the fans of this team know exactly who I'm talking about, because I haven't mentioned them yet. How about this? How many guys in college football last year had 35 touchdown passes? 5 interceptions. Through for over 3000 yards, one 9 games, as a starter, how many guys in college football can say that they have Devin Leary's resume? NC state quarterback Devin Leary gonna be there. Dudes dudes of baller y'all. The quarterbacks in the ACC. I think the SEC has got the best quarterback list. That they've had in ten years, since 2013, if you go back to 2013 in the SEC, we talked a little bit about this yesterday. But if you go back to 2013 in the SEC. And you look at the SEC quarterback list, the number of players, the names that were in that in that league. Johnny manziel, Aaron Murray, AJ McCARRON, Connor Shaw, dak Prescott, Nick Marshall, James Franklin, Zach mettenberger, Bo Wallace. That was as good a quarterback season as I can remember in the SEC. Again, remember, Connor Shaw probably the best quarterback in South Carolina history. I mean, Johnny manziel Aaron Murray, like AJ McCARRON, Heisman, these are Heisman type of guys. Aaron Murray probably should have won a national title. Frankly, in 2012. Or would a competed for a national title had he just gotten a guy to go 5 more yards? People forget how close that Georgia team was to win in the whole thing. I wonder if I wonder if Kirby smart would even be there with Mark Rick still be there if they had won that championship in 2012. Point is, you look at the ACC this year. And again, I think the SEC is as good as 2013. I think the ACC has as good as the SEC this year. That quarterback roster, Jacob, Travis, Cunningham, Van Dyke, Leary, Armstrong Hartman. Is Keaton slovis the guy at Pittsburgh. There's some guys that aren't even going to be at media days that could be pretty good. I just think you look at that late that league and you go, this is one of the best collections of quarterbacks in the country. Again, tell me a quarterback. How about this? Cam rising at Utah and Devin Leary at NC state are the two most underrated quarterbacks in America. How about that? I will choose violence on a Wednesday. Convince me that you've got a name that's more undervalued than one of those two guys. Devin Leary, 35 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 9 wins for NC state. How many seasons has NC state won double digit games? One time. One time, if they go ten and two this year, it will be the second time in school history that NC state has won ten games. Kentucky has won ten games twice in the last 5 years. That's how good Devin Leary is. Cam rising same thing if they don't screw up and lose at the beginning of the season because he didn't start by the way for Utah. They might have been in the playoff last year. Instead of Cincinnati, instead of Michigan, although maybe it would have been instead of Georgia, which wouldn't have been right, but whatever. You want to convince me there's a better quarterback? 855-242-7285 convince me. Convince me of that. How about this? Let's take a, let's talk some ACC football in just a few minutes here. All right? David Hale gonna join us. Let's do that in just a minute. 855-242-7285. My name is Braden Gaul.

"And if you can keep your direct competitor from gaining inventory, that is also worth some money. And so if the ESPN wants to keep Oregon in Washington in house, you're going to overpay for the PAC 12. I also think there's some counter programming marketing strategies there where I think it's easy to sell. Again, the numbers aren't going to be Alabama auburn numbers or Michigan Ohio State numbers. Nobody expects that. They aren't right now. They haven't ever been. But we certainly I don't know about you guys. I love PAC 12 after dark. It is like one of my favorite things about the fall. My wife's asleep, the kids are asleep, nice glass of whisky, sit on the couch, you know, just by myself, a couple TVs going to town on some back 12 football. That's my idea of a good time on a Saturday night in the fall. I don't know about you guys. Maybe that makes me a giant nerd. I'm okay with that. 8 5 5 two four two 7 two 8 5 8 5 5 two four two 7 two 8 5. And what got me thinking? And I want you guys to chime in on this. Because I am having a major I'm having big trouble here. I'm having major, major problems. Filling out some of my playoff ballots for 2022. Let's forget about expansion for a second. And let's look at the actual games that are going to happen this year because I do think the big 12. If you look at the big 12 and media days were today and we asked Heather didn't about this a few minutes ago. You could make the case for probably half of that league to have a legitimate shot to make it to the title game. I'm not picking Texas. I'm not picking West Virginia. I'm not going to pick Kansas state, but I think all three of those teams have what it takes to potentially make a run and get into the big 12 championship game. I think the top three are Baylor Oklahoma state and Oklahoma. In some order, I like Baylor a whole lot. Picking Blake shape and I think at quarterback with an identity that David Miranda has established, I think they are a very good football team. I like Baylor to win the big 12. But do I like him to be a playoff team? I don't know. So while the big 12 is wide open and I think very competitive and very interesting and filled with drama all season long this year. It's going to be a ton of fun. I don't know if there's a playoff team in there. I look at the ACC and I go, all right, Clemson. Dang, man. Probably the best defensive line in all of college football. Two new coordinators. Tougher schedule, Florida state's getting better. NC states really good wake forest is pretty good in the division. You got to play Miami late. South Carolina is now a bowl team. That schedules a much tougher than you got to play out Notre-Dame. Clemson is a much much tougher schedule. Oh, they were terrible last year. Well, were they? Or do they lose by 7 to the national champs where they only gave up ten total points, three on offense? Did they lose an overtime to one of the best NC state teams we've ever seen? Okay. Their losses, Clemson last year. They were close to being an 11 win team and an ACC champ. So as Clemson, the team from the ACC that could get into the playoff. Is it Miami? Is Tyler Van Dyke and Mario Cristobal's first year that good? Can wake forest with Sam Hartman replicate what they did last year? I really, really like NC state. I think they are very dangerous. What about Pittsburgh? Can they repeat? How good is Florida state going to be? Malik Cunningham at Louisville how good are they going to be? The ACC is also wide open just like the big 12, which leads us to a problem with the playoff. And I'll include the PAC 12 in this. How good is Utah Oregon and USC? The three best teams in that conference. How good are they? Are they good enough? To be 11 and one 12 and one 13 and zero playoff teams at the end of the year. I don't know. I think Utah is the best one. They've got to go on the road and beat Florida in a true road game in week one, which might be the coolest week one game on the entire schedule. Utah at Florida sign me up. But Utah is going to have to play perfect football to get into the playoff. So what do we do in here? Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State. Okay. Who else is getting in, guys? Those three are the overwhelming favorites by Vegas and everyone else to make it to the college football playoff. Who is number four? I have never seen a year in college football where I have no clue who's number four. I don't even know who belongs in the conversation. I could rattle off 15 teams. And you'd probably have to go, oh, all right. I could see it. I could see it. Clemson, NC state, a and M, Baylor, Notre-Dame, Michigan. USC, Oregon. Utah. Does Miami belong in this conversation as the favor to win their division? What about Wisconsin? Iowa, who's going to win the west in the Big Ten. What about Cincinnati in the group of 5? Got to replace a whole lot. Is some second place team in the SEC good enough. Like Michigan in the Big Ten is Tennessee good enough to get to 11 one. I don't think so. LSU Arkansas Mississippi. Who's number four? This is what I want you to tell me. Who is the number 14? I don't think you can argue with Bama Giorgio Ohio State. But tell me who belongs at number four. Who is the other team that's going to make the playoff? 855-242-7285. I will come into this with an open mind. I want you to tell me who you think belongs at number four in the list. We did this for Athlon sports. I work at Athlon sports. We put together the magazine. We put one, two, and three down on the line. We didn't even argue about it. And then we got to number four and it took us three months. It took us three minutes to pick the top three. It took us three months to pick number four. I want to hear who you think should be in the playoff. Who make the case to me? For number four in the playoffs, 855-242-7285, because oh by the way, we still have a football season to play this year. Expansion is going on in the world seems to be spinning out of control, but we got a whole host of really awesome football games coming up in a couple of months. Next month, we got college football. Tell me who belongs at number four, 855-242-7285. I'll tell you my pick. My name is Braden Gaul in for Paul. This is the Paul fine bomb show here on ESPN radio. "To your phone calls momentarily. Got the ACC announcing which players will be at ACC media days, 9 quarterbacks in that conference, as I said yesterday on the show, I think it is one of the best collections of quarterbacks I've seen at the ACC in the ACC period full stop. Filled your COVID is going to be there for Boston college. Jordan Travis for Florida state, a good statement on where he's at on that team. Malik Cunningham, Tyler Van Dyke is a very good player for Miami. He's going to be there Devin Leary very underrated for NC state. Brennan Armstrong, of course, like the one man 500 yards of offense show for Virginia Sam Hartman, who's thrown like a bazillion touchdowns and started 4000 football games for wake forest, which is a record. He'll be there. And of course, Garrett Schrader for Syracuse is going to be there as well, a guy that's really athletic and fun to watch. So 9 quarterback's going to be there. The big 12. At their media days, the conference commissioner Brett your book, the brand new conference commissioner basically said, we are open for business. As it pertains to expansion. So taking all phone calls, if you've got a football team and you want to see if the big 12s interested, give the big 12 a call, give old Brett your mark a call and see if they're interested in see if they're interested in your product. Joining here. But 8 5 5 two four two. 7 two 8 5. Again, the playoff is lost in all this expansion conversation. Like we're still trying to compete for a championship here. And Alabama looks like the best football team. Georgia looks like the second best team with the best schedule setting up to be 12 and O in Atlanta. I think Ohio State's clearly the best team in the Big Ten. They get Michigan at home at the end of the year. And I have the best offense in America. I think those three are in. Barring some major upsets, which is obviously why we watch. But I think those three are in. The problem is figuring out the fourth team. It's the most difficult prediction I can remember since the playoff became a thing in 2014. I've only got a handful of teams that I would argue belong in that conversation. But you can make the case for a few different. Somebody made the case for Penn State. I'm not buying that. Somebody made the case for Clemson. I'm on board with that. I think Clemson has a very good chance. To get into the playoff. But they're going to have to be perfect in conference because they have to go to Notre-Dame in non conference. 855-242-7285 convinced me of who belongs in the playoff with the big three, Bama, Georgia, and Ohio State. Is this butler from Atlanta? Butler, welcome to the welcome to the Paul fine bomb show. How are you? Hey, hunter. How you doing? Hunter, sorry, I apologize. Yeah, no problem. Yeah, so I was just listening to the other radio and you were naming the 15 teams. You can consider taking that four spot. And you said, I heard Mississippi stayed. I heard a and M, or Tennessee, maybe Florida. I mean, I think it's hard to mention those teams. If you're not even going to mention old mess, I realize we just lost Matt corral, but lane kiffin's done and amazing job of turning the program over in these past couple of years. We got Jackson diet to replace him. We stole Zach Evans, the PCU, and I don't know if you've seen almost a schedule this year, but it is rather easy, starts out with four free wins that will help Jackson get acquainted. And then from there, it's just what did Wayne Kevin can really finalize the deal. I mean, I don't really see any big competitors, the final stretch, they go, a and M, Bama, Arkansas, and Mississippi. And obviously bam was going to be going to be a major challenge. But if any of Nick Saban's old assistant coaches can do the job, you know, I think lane kiffin be the one to do it. I appreciate the call, hunter. I think it is a major testament to the job lane kiffin has done. To look at last year's team with a historically epic productive quarterback in Matt corral, ten regular season wins, a record for olmes, to lose so much and to say they're going to be as good. And frankly, to be in a quote unquote, reloading, rebuilding year, whatever you want to call it for all this. And if they go 8 and four, I would call that a huge testament to the job that Lincoln has done. But I am not, I have all missed at like 6 place in the west. So I am not picking oldness to challenge for the playoffs. To be honest, I don't Florida is not in that group either. The only reason I said Tennessee or Kentucky is because they could finish second in the east. Again, I'm not picking any of those teams to go. 11 and one, but Kentucky won ten games last year. So let's not go. They haven't lost as much. They still have their quarterback. I think the west schedules are tougher too. So I don't think it's Arkansas Mississippi state LSU or old miss because they the schedules are too hard. A and M would be the pick. If you're trying to make a case for a second place team in the SEC to make the playoff, it would be Texas a and M but then you're asking Texas a and M not to do Texas a and M things. Which is to be perfect. In every other game, not named Alabama. And I don't know if I'll believe it when I see it. With Texas a and M I think they're ten and two. And I don't think that's good enough to get into the playoff. So I really don't think a third SEC team is in this conversation to be fair. I do think oldness is a really good program with lane kiffin and their schedule is real front loaded. They could go 7 and O and then own 5. It's real tough in November. So I still think I like Mississippi a lot. I think that's going to be a real dangerous football team. But their schedule is nasty. Nasty. 855-242-7285 ray from San Antonio ray, welcome to the show. How are you, sir? Hey brother, how you doing today? Doing well, man. Blessings to I am an Aggie class of 1980 and I'm a really try to not include any bias in this, but a and M to get over the top. It has taken step one by beating Alabama here at home, but they're really going to have to beat Alabama in the way big game. I think to really command the respect that Alabama already commands, I think that can happen. And if it does, I think a and M will supplant Alabama. Obviously, and I think that if they go take care of business, you just said it and I totally agree with you when the games that they need to win and win a big game or two, then I think they can be right there.

"Of scrim. We call it casino, right? Casino, all your cards are in. You're rolling the dice. Here we go. Casino was. What you're seeing now, and this is what I'm seeing even on the TV copy is teams are like, okay, wait a second. If we do that, Lamar is good enough to shred us in the passing game. So what we have to do is we still have to incorporate an extra guy around the line of scrimmage, but we have to do a creatively. And that will be fire zones that will be man blitz the dolphins bunch of man blitzes, but what we're going to make him do is one, we're not going to let him run as much as he normally would. And if he is going to pass, then we're going to change that look from, okay, he's used to one look, and then we're going to change that look. It's still a pressure. It's still a blitz or a dog, but it's not the same shell in the back end. And it might be as simple as when we played it off last week way hard inside technique technique this week. It might be, we're gonna jump the quick stuff one week in our playoff on the quick step the next week and flood it with a drop end or something. A lot of creative ways of doing it. Nobody really cares. But really what you're doing is taking the defined looks away from him. You see this in college football all the time when it hit throws for 400 yards rushes for a 150 Malik Cunningham at Louisville. And in the next week, it's not very good. Well, you change the look. He was really good at one thing one week, but then he goes in the next week and is totally different. But he's used to seeing the same look because you have 20 hours during the week and you're practicing only so much. And you're like, well, this team played it this way. So the next team is going to play it this way. Well, not if you're a good defense of staff, you're going to change those defined looks and make them think a little bit longer and take away what they do best. So it's that there's just this chess match that's going on in every defense coordinators evolving around the country because the offenses are evolving and I enjoy talking about this stuff because during the week of a game everybody just thinks what happened the last game is going to happen the next game and what you learn and if you're in this game long enough, this is very little carryover week to week. You have to recreate yourself every week and you have to make your team understand that they're recreating themselves because if you go in doing the same thing you did the week before and you're facing a good defensive staff, you're done. They're going to out coach you and your players are going to be crippled because they got prepared for one thing and they're going to see their thing. I'd like to dig in a little deeper on that because, you know, I understand some of the basic stuff like, look, man against a guy like Lamar all day is a disaster. Stop. Yeah. He's in a rush for a 180 yards. You're gonna be turned. Especially if you start sending people on deep routes, you could have the personnel that you respect enough depth wise. I know that there are certain times against zone and this is what I think is so tough about this position is you're never open in zone the way you think somebody's open because they're passing them off. It's almost the depth. You have to get depth behind or in front of the zones. Those times where you think you have some throwing lane at this level with how athletic everybody is. It's like just because somebody stops in between two defensive backs. They want you to make that throw. Because it's actually not there, right? So are there quarterbacks that you think other than the physical gifts of somebody like Lamar who can run, but from a passing standpoint, are there quarterbacks you're like, this guy sucks with zone. This guy's great with zone. Like were you more comfortable with zone or man? Because I think it's always one of those funny debates to have to think that you can kind of attack one guy specifically defensively. Yeah, so the best answer, and I don't want to call out quarterback. So I'll use some examples. But what about you? Let's start with you. Like, if you knew you had a heavy zone team versus a heavy man team, what was your week like? Well, it changes based on pass rush. If you have a great pass rush that you're going against, you want man because you can pick and stick. You can find your matchup and get the ball out. If you have zones and you have a great pass rush all of the bucks back in the day. Where they're going to rush for and play Tampa two or a flooded one height, three deep, now you having to get the ball quick and all these eyeballs are looking at you. Brian urlacher was a great example. They'd.

Those came in the second half of the game already decided first half Cunningham was held to 17 yards passing Old miss with a convincing went over Louisville to cap the opening weekend and put an end to what was a brutal week for the C seven losses, including all three ranked teams. All three were on the top 15 1 of the losses. Of course, Clemson falling to Georgia. ESPN reporter Chris Button. I sat there in the mock selection playoff committee in Dallas and, like watch them put three resumes on the board and the strength of schedule plays huge. So unless Florida State can start moving up the rankings unless North Carolina can rebound back and gives them someone else to have some ranked winds over. It's going to be really tough. I'll tell you who probably loved watching Georgia win yesterday. I was Cincinnati because where they sit in the rankings right now, and if they can go undefeated because they have an Indiana team, which didn't look so hot yesterday, and then the only true true test to me will be Notre Dame. They can go undefeated. And if a one loss Clemson team is out there with no ranked winds. Maybe this is the year we see a team from the American and outside the power five find their way into the football playoffs, either. Clemson her Georgia had to lose this weekend, and it's lost for Clemson. Lost to equality opponent but still a loss and Doesn't mean it's not an uphill battle the rest of the way. And not just for Clinton, ESPN Mac Chick the A. C C was eliminated from the playoff yesterday. This is this was not a good weekend for the A C. C. Okay, Here's the problem now for this league. Your three best teams all lost, okay? Not only that, a team, the Clemson team that is supposed to be the best team, which probably still is I mean the gap between Clemson the rest of the A. C. C. I still think it's very sizable, and they could probably went out. But who might they be competing with for a playoff spot? Mean Clemson officially needs help to.

"Get my from California less than just love this so much you guys next week that I feel about it. Love us some Beaver Game Day on ESPN Radio, ESPN app series. XM Channel 80 Shake Cornette Jordan Cornette here with you Happy Sunday to everyone your last Sunday before the NFL regular season is off and running, So I hope you are enjoying it. And if you need something else to help you enjoy it. Perhaps some plays. Well, that's what we're here for. But most importantly, that's what poodles here for poodle is my brother in law and Jordan, I guess and his family nicknamed him poodle because he looked like a poodle growing up. And so we call this poodles plays and we bring in Jonathan Cornette to give us the very latest on what he is playing. And I am nervous to ask this because I am sure both you and my husband have got way too much money on this game. But nonetheless, here we go poodle. What do you got? Hey, I've been thinking about this all morning, going back and forth. Seven points just doesn't feel right to me. Notre Dame beat Florida State like 46 to 20 last year. I know they're missing some pieces, but get out of town or taking Notre Dame were given the point. I know. I know. We got offensive line holes I don't agree with. We got some wide receiver holes. I don't agree with that either. Take them. Notre Dame. Give the point. We got a winner tonight. So if you're telling me to take the points, which, by the way I have done as well like a loyal alum. But tell me what you envision the score being in Tallahassee. Uh, when the final seconds tick off that clock I am calling 31 14 Notre Dame. I don't see how the issue is Jordan Travis and is running running ability. I think the linebackers have enough speed to take care of it. They took care of it. Last year when they played, he went through. I think 96 yards and a touchdown when he played him last year through for 2 10. I think before we put on hold the phone. We don't know. For certain of George Travis is going to be the quarterback. It might be a two quarterback system with Mackenzie Milton see an accent for the first time since 2018, formerly of U. C. F. Jordan. If you have two quarterbacks, you don't have one Jordan Travis plays into it would be more effective for Florida State to play Jordan. Travis we have issues with I'm sorry we Notre Dame has issues with go in and get into it. Lead up to it the week Alright, but we we Bottom line is the cornets are taking the points and all this just makes me nervous. The only other question I want to stay with that Shea. Is it because I'm just flushing this out For all those? All those other ones who are on the line of if they should take Notre Dame to cover seven points is the quarterback. I just got done bombing on Wisconsin and their lack of an offensive identity and explosion for so long, and Notre Dame's quarterback. Is a Wisconsin transfer and Jack Cohen. We don't have the playmakers on the outside. As you mentioned. We do have Chiron Williams in the backfield who might be the most talented player on the field? But does that offense concern you at all from Notre Dame? Listen, Jack Cone lead He was he was top 10 in Q B. R for Wisconsin. He's not. He's not a slouch. He can move a little bit, and he loves to push the ball down the field Braid Lindsay. He's a burner. Kevin Austin is a slot wide receiver who can make plays. I'm telling you I am not worried about this offense. Chris Tyree Kyron Williams. We didn't We haven't talked about Michael Maria, who's Who's guarding that man across the middle. There's a lot of weapons there. People are missing. He's a star tight end. I expect to truly truly a breakout season for him. All right. We got time for one more play. We look to Monday night. Louisville Cardinals looking to redeem the A C. C. If Florida State can't do it tonight, verse, Notre Dame They head down there and they play old Miss in a neutral site game. What's the line? What do you thinking in this one? Line is 10 points. Now know Wayne Kiffin for old Miss, but I don't think that matters there. Resulting 21% of the you know 81% of their team production. I mean, Malik Cunningham could have a better year. He had a horrible year last year. I just don't see how the cards can keep up with old Miss. Take the 10 points all day. Take the time like old Miss to cover the 10 points an hour one. I do? Yeah, he said he doesn't think link it and not being there covered is going to be an issue at all, which I actually tend to agree with. I don't think it's a problem either. At that point, you set your team up. You have half scripted plays anyways. Heading into the first Matt Corral is one of the best quarterbacks at the nation doesn't seem to fully know about he'll be on full display in that one another stat worth, noting Louisville a season ago. Oh, in five away from home last year. It was a team two seasons ago with coach Scott Satterfield. In his first season at Louisville. They went eight and five. Took the nation by storm expected double figure wins the season after they were only able to garner four because they could not win on the road. A neutral site game. A true challenge. Poodle thinks old Miss roles in that one interesting, You dude. Agree with him or to screen I would have to agree. I just I'd saw enough of Malik Cunningham last year to say this guy plays too inconsistently. That defense, I think has some holes. I think all this could be a team that surprises this season. So I'm on board with both of poodles picks I think we go to And so I would advise everybody go to take Notre Dame to cover at minus seven old miss to cover it. Minus 10. I like it. All right. This all makes me very nervous Poodle. Thank you So much for the inside. I hope you win for the sake of my sister in law and also my household as well. Thanks, guys. See you pool. All right, so he's taken all miss and he's taken Notre Dame. Why are you looking at me like I'm just I just hope you know, it's a It's a holiday weekend. We got poodle late to jump on the radio. I just hope there wasn't any outside forces that are affecting his decision making. That's all I'm worried about. Agreed with both of his pigs, which is scary as well. But yes, I am riding with Notre Dame to cover it. Minus seven. I'm also riding with old Mr Cover in minus 10. All right. Fair enough. That is what's going on here. Over the next two days. Our house is preparing for Notre Dame in Florida State and Jordan. Obviously you're taking the points to cover in this one. But I think it's worth noting. Since this game is kicking off in just a few hours here, What are your concerns for Notre Dame as they get ready to take on Florida State in Tallahassee? Just the environment is also going to be rocking down there. They're honoring the late Bobby Bowden, who meant everything to that program also meant everything to college football. There's gonna be a lot of emotion down there and For a team at Notre Dame to have their first game of season be on the road with a new quarterback, an entirely new offensive line. There could be a breakdown in communication there, but ultimately, I think Notre Dame with their defense, Notre Dame with the outlet, um to relieve some of that pressure, and Karen Williams in the backfield, how they use him should be enough. I mean, you're talking about Notre Dame winning this game by more than one possession. Florida State's in the middle of a A really difficult rebuild coach Mike Nor Bell without question. Is the guy there? It's just a big ask in the first game of the season to go out and be a top 10 team..

"Wait, 40 w A. J s. They're unafraid, but they're not shock jocks like me. I was labeled a shock jock in a legal proceeding. About a little bit later on the show Shock. Jock. Does that mean Worked on the electrical equipment. I'm not a shock jock. That's like Howard Stern telling people to get naked in his studio and do things to each other in front of him. That's what shocked DJs to. Are you going to have some kind of sidekick that likes to make bodily noises? Oh, that's right. When you have one of those guys, your sidekick pistols for food, Everybody goes. Oh, my God. So funny. Oh, he all will give Hayley that job. She She would like that. I think so. I think she would. She makes extraneous noises while she's in here, but they're usually Based in rage. Yeah, gutter all very angry noises. They don't know what that's all about. Mark Stoops speaking today at the U. K lunch in the football lunch and kick off lunch whenever they call that a lot of folks showing up Hey, coach Stoops. Yeah. Football, football. Football. What about those guys? What about those dudes? Well, yeah, We got troubles. We got trouble in the river city. Well, not really, Stoops says. We're gonna get through all this. I know there's a few things going on out there right now that we will get straight. I promise you. I love this team. I love these players. Um, you know, none of them are perfect. That's for sure. We don't ever pretend to be. But you're gonna love this team. It's a fantastic group. We'll get through a couple little hiccups that are in the road right now. But I anticipate we'll get through those just fine and get everybody back on the football field playing. I guess everybody's reading between the lines that the hiccups. He's referring to these legal issues involving six players, But it could be something else. I guess it could be. But I mean, that's the big story going on right now. So you would think it would be top of mind. We're we're going to have to see how it gets resolves. As to what his lineup is what his strength is Some of those guys on there pretty good. Yeah, because and they're all over the field to you had a few defensive backs the linebacker correct running back so It could really impact different position groups for the University of Kentucky. Oh, here in a couple of weeks when they get started, let's say so. So one week from tonight, will be the first of Mark Stoops, his radio shows throughout the course of the season. And that's Monday nights at six. Typically, Monday, night six here on news radio, a 40 W H A s And he may want to talk about Darien Kinard that is Kentucky's representative and ESPN College football 100. They ranked the top 100 college football players used all of their college football experts. No big surprise. Alabama leads the way with 10 of the top 100 players. I'm surprised that's all. Yeah, I mean, is it really only 10? Number one Spencer Spencer Rattler The QB at Oklahoma. He's going to be getting a lot of love for the Heisman Trophy number two Derek Stingley. L S U quarterback Avian Thibodeau from Oregon. Evan Neil, the first Alabama representative coming in at number four offensive linemen down there in Tuscaloosa, Number five Is Sam How the University of North Carolina quarterback Indiana actually had three guys on the list, the highest ranking. Their QB Michael Pinex junior at number five, both Louisville and Kentucky with a single representative Louisville's Malik Cunningham at 65, Kentucky as we mentioned dairy and canard at 67. On the pro side bad news for the Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Josephus I going to have surgery for a torn meniscus later on this week. Remember in the first preseason game, he got a sack on Tom Brady. People were very high about Joe aside. He left that game with a wrist injury, felt the meniscus injury the next day. Now he's going to have surgery. Probably be out the entire season. The Bengals have signed defensive end Noah Spence to try and take his place. We talked about it a few minutes ago, Carson wince Quentin Nelson and Ryan Kelly all back on the practice field for the cults. Of course, both wince and Nelson had that kind of freak foot injury surgery within a couple of days of each other. They both were 5 to 12 weeks to come back, but it looks like they should both be back in uniform. Four week one. Another guy who may not be in uniform for week one for the Packers. Former UK Wildcats A Darius Smith, he got an injury over the weekend could potentially missed the week one opener with that back. That's been bothering him for a while. Smith has not missed a game in nearly four years, so that would be really odd for Za'darius. Not to get to suit up there in the first week for the Packers. I did see Randall Carbon Street clothes on the side there. They're going to use him some because yeah. Aaron Rodgers wanted them back. Yes, Another guy. I don't We didn't mention it. Last week, Aaron Rodgers kind of flexed his muscles got Randall car back another guy that Aaron Rodgers kind of flexed his muscles but didn't get Clay Matthews, both Rogers Cobb. Bachtiar in a few other Packers were all tweeting. And I guess speaking with management about the possibility of bringing clay Matthews back to in his career in Green Bay, and, uh Matthews and Management, I guess thought better if that one so he is not going to be a packer this Yeah, and got many shout outs. Right. Let me give you the Northern Trust updates you on that That's this is the golf tournament that spilled into Monday because of all the rain over the weekend, John Ramos in the lead. This is around four. And this top 50 or so advanced in the FedEx Cup. Jon Rahm 17 under Tony Females two strokes behind, along with Cameron Smith. That's Ian's boys. The guy with a mullet mullet power and Justin Thomas is 1300. So it's just a few strokes off the lead, and that puts him tied for sixth and kept a and D shambo tied right now, at eight under, You know those two love each other, Please put them together in a pairing sometime soon. All right. We've got Andy coming up at the top of the hour. Andy, who you say he's our governor, Andy Beshear is going to do his weekly conferences back to doing those again and Andy's feeling a little sting. In the end the nd.
