Why Simon Campbell Went to War With Local Pennsylvania Authorities
"Those who missed our chat on my newsmax show recently in the last time you were on the show, just give us a little crazy little summary of why you went to war with the local authorities in Pennsylvania and who ended up winning eventually. Yeah, right. Well, the local school board in Pennsylvania a bunch of 9 left wing radical liberals were silencing people at public comments, three citizens before me got silenced. That's why I showed up in Malibu. They weren't allowed to speak. Exactly. They showed up a public comment to criticize the critical race theory program and they were basically told to shut up, sit down and be quiet. And it was all on videotape. So I found out about it. And I'm like, right, well, you're going to get a piece of my mind. And they tried to shut me up as you saw. And so the four of us sued them in federal court for First Amendment violations. And we won an injunctive order against the district saying you're not allowed to enforce this piece of garbage unconstitutional speech policy. And then they ended up selling the case for $300,000. Paid to the lawyers, of course, because the lawyers make the money. And for my trouble as a plaintiff, I got the grand total of $17 91 cents. Now you tell me Sebastian, 1791. Does that ring a bell to you? I love it. I just want to know, how did you engineer that your reward was $70 and 91 cents? Well, here's the thing. When you file a First Amendment lawsuit, you can only get what's called nominal damages because it's not like you're claiming you broke your back or anything like that. And so you have to put a figure in for the court and I said, well, I will update it. It means something. I want the year the Bill of Rights as enacted. I want those suds to send a British citizen a check for 1791 and don't mess with it, but a citizen's First Amendment rights again or I'll get 1791 from you.

Dean Cain on His Journey From Trailer Park to Princeton to Hollywood
"So dean, your life has been so fascinating. So I wanted to ask you a little bit about just kind of your journey before we talk about more of the news stuff. I saw that you spent some of your childhood in Michigan and then in California. And in high school, when you were in Santa Monica, you were excelling in sports, and you even played some baseball with Charlie Sheen and Rob Lowe. Is that correct? And what was that like? It's mostly correct. I grew up, so I grew up in I was born in Michigan, but I moved to California when I was three. My mom up and took off with her two kids. Her first husband was my biological father. It was not an ideal husband, was philandering and so she left and came out to LA to be an actress with two kids to the Asian kids. And we looked more on my given name as Tanaka. So she came out here with us too, and met and fell in love with my dad. Who she married a year later. And then through a really terrible story actually, a woman was raped and I believe killed in an apartment next to us or right near us. And then the next day myself and a couple other guys, my brother and another couple kids were out playing cops and robbers as they used to back in the day. And I was the youngest and so I wasn't able to have I didn't get to a gun. So I went looking for something and I found the real gun and it was apparently the weapon that was used and that day my dad borrowed, I don't ten, $12,000 from his parents in South Dakota and moved us to a trailer park in Malibu. And I grew up in a trailer park in Malibu, which sounds, you know, like trailer park. Yeah, but it was in Malibu. So we'd spend our days outside all day long on the beach, running around, and I grew up with kids like Sean Penn, Chris Penn Rob Lowe, Charlie Sheen, Emilio Estevez, all those kids were just, we were all just part of this one little Malibu group. I guess all our parents were involved in the business, not all of them, but in some way or another. And so through this weird happenstance, those kids all ended up being actors. Now I played baseball Charlie for a long time. Rob, rob was never the great athlete. Rob even back in the elementary school was just all the girls loved him and he's so pretty. And he loved the girls back. So that was the that was the skinny and rob, so to speak. Charlie very good baseball player. Played on teams with him forever. And then went to high school, Santa Monica high school. And I was a good athlete student. It worked out real well for me. A lot of the kids are madly when they got to Santa Monica worked able to compete at that level, unfortunately. So a lot of the kids stopped playing sports, Charlie continued to play for a while. I don't even know what he did to seeing it if he played a scene here or not. And then I was lucky enough to with my grades and thank you to get the president of the university, had a wonderful career at Princeton. Grew up a lot turned into him and went from a boy to a man there and played very well. I played football. I mean, football ran track and I played volleyball. And then I got a chance to play for the Buffalo Bills afterward, which was great. And got hurt right away. And then it's been acting and directing and filmmaking ever since.

Your Daily Prayer
A Prayer for the One Feeling Overwhelmed
"You see, the world says to have peace, you have to be on a luxurious vacation in Malibu. Or to have peace, you have to have complete financial security, a great job, and a 401k to boot. The world says that you'll finally have peace when your life looks like someone else's Instagram feed. This world offers fake peace that leaves us chasing a moving target. Jesus said, you will have peace when you have my spirit because the fruit of the spirit is peace. Galatians 5 22 through 23. This is a piece that we can get from this world. This kind of piece only comes from a relationship with God. This kind of piece is at rattled one our finances aren't where we want them to be. Or worse when we are in financial despair. Jesus piece is still there as we wait for daily breath. Sometimes moment by moment. The peace that God gives helps us to celebrate others accomplishments. And gives thanks for what God has generously given us. So when my heart is troubled and anxious, I have to ask myself, where are you looking for peace? We signed our peace and God, the Holy Spirit empowers us to live in a way that baffles the world. Onlookers, don't understand how we can be so peaceful. While they frantically search for what can only be found in Christ. So today, when you're overwhelmed instead of looking to the world for a reprieve, ask God for his feast. Let's pray. Dear lord, thank you for giving us the gift of a relationship with you through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Look how you don't stop there. You also ensure that we know you have not abandoned us by giving us the gift of your Holy Spirit. Laurel, we face difficulties, and we get overwhelmed, we have the assurance that you are with us because we have your spirit living inside of us. And God with that you give us the unshakable gift of peace. Lord, I pray you would help us to remember where we find true rest and true peace. Or forgive us for chasing down peace from this world. Lord, as you know, it never lasts. More money does not lead to more peace, it creates no problems. More security just leads to more frenzied attempts at managing our lives. In attending to live someone else's life, robs us of all joy. Jesus I pray you give us the strength to turn away from these false sources of peace. Help us turn to you that. You give us peace that the world can not give. In the world can not take away. Jesus help us believe and trust that every word you say is true, you are with us, you are for us, and you will give us peace, so we don't have to be troubled or afraid. In Jesus name,

And I remember the first day it just ripped me apart to have to go work in a cubicle. I never thought I'd do it. But in that cubicle, when I should have been working, I would read the New York Daily News, and the New York Post and I'd read the gossip columns. Never knowing I was about to become one, you know, and fucking three years. But I read them. And I remember one time I cut out an article because there was a piece by Liz Smith that had Cher was at a nightclub called heartbreak, which was in Tribeca. And she met this young guy who was just a guy that made bagels, rob camilletti, and was a big story that this big star share is dating this good-looking kid who just makes bagels and for Cher. It was a chance for her to be regular and normal. She completely changed his life, obviously, went out and lived in Malibu with her, but I put that on my wall and I was like, I have to meet share or if I can't be cheer, I gotta meet somebody like her. "This bill, as we mentioned last week and tried to warn, adds $80 billion to the IRS's budget and 87,000 new staff members to the Internal Revenue Service. 80 7 thousand new IRS agents. That makes the IRS larger than the FBI, border patrol and the State Department combined. That's what happened over this last weekend. And remarkably Democrats in tough Senate races like Mark Kelly and Raphael Warnock, they don't care. They voted for it because they know that they're still going to get over a $100 million in Democrat cash as the Democrats are now representing the white wealthy party, Republicans are getting outspent almost every race across the country. Now, this movie Nick was and you showed us clips that were out visiting in California before, by the way, did you migrate already? Well, where one foot in and one foot out? Oh, Kevin, outpost, established, and we're going to be spending a lot of time there over the next year. But we'll be back and forth. Okay, so that's kind of good. So you can infiltrate in and out of occupied territory. Yeah, and when the whole state collapses, we can just go, okay, I guess we can't go back. Or you just appropriate Barbra Streisand's house in Malibu or something. I've got my eyes on some places I might take over when it comes down to it. But the movie capital punishment is about January 6th. More importantly, it's about what they did to our people after that. Now let's not deny the fact that there were some people who did some really bad and stupid things violently attacking law enforcement officials. There were also a whole lot more exponentially more people who were there doing protected political speech and who ended up getting scarfed up in one of the worst abuses of power. I've seen in my lifetime, and who now are in an American gulag. So tell us a little bit about what you wanted to show about that horrendous situation with this movie. Well, I was there on January 6th and really the reason the movie came about is because when I watched the news after I left there that day, I didn't see anything of what I saw. All I saw was the violence at the capitol that they showed us. They didn't show the huge crowds. They didn't show the people singing The Star-Spangled Banner and singing hymns and saying the Pledge of Allegiance. They didn't show the happiness, the joyful nature of the crowd. And so I started going what's going on? Why are they only showing this? And what we learned in creating the film is like, yeah, they were bad people doing some bad stuff, but they were also police officers doing some bad stuff. They're also people that were very suspicious individuals that didn't look like any Trump supporters. I'd ever seen that were instigating some bad stuff. They were also people there that probably worked for the FBI, a guy named ray eps and more and more of this stuff is coming out. One Great Book
"malibu" Discussed on One Great Book
"What those chapters reveal isn't good for the riva family. Nina thinks of her parents. Doomed relationship is a tragedy. jay sees it as a comedy of errors to hud. It's an origin story to kit. It's always been a mystery. It's seven pm. When the party starts the story lines converge. And it's all party all the time from that moment on. It's a repulsive way of telling the story because you know something is going to go horribly wrong in the present day plot read opens the book with the big teaser about the fire. So you're always anxious to get back to it to see how and when it's going to happen. The backstory has more of a contemporary feel while the party plot is fast. Flashy and frothy in a way that feels right for a summer book. I read the advance review copy of this book and in it read clearly outlines her themes in her author's letter so i'm going to let her speak for herself. It's a story about fame in the objectification of women. It's a story about sibling. Rivalries about parenthood in about marriage and the ways we repeat the mistakes of our parents and is all set against the backdrop of nineteen eighties. Malibu surfers and models actresses and screenwriters tennis pros and tv stars studio execs musicians all coming together to lose control over the course of one evening. Let's talk about that. Nineteen eighties malibu. Setting the details read contains are pitch perfect talk about sense of place. Nina bemoans the tabloid photo. That pictures her coming out of the supermarket. Smoking virginia slim and carrying a six pack of tab at a previous riva party nina's neighbor rob lowe saying all of jack and diane with her other neighbor. Emilio estevez in her kitchen one character dresses for the party wearing a sky. Blue tee-shirt belted at the waist with white shorts and white pumps. She tease her hair at the crown and rimmed her eyes and black eyeliner. She'd stolen the outfit idea from heather. Locklear who'd been wearing the same thing on the cover of los angeles magazine the month before so far. I imagined the sounds like a fun flashy story and it is that but the reason i enjoyed it. So is the emotional. Truth that carries. What do we owe the people we love. What do we owe the people we love. Who led us down how to our families shape us. How'd you siblings form in shape. Each other. are we doomed to repeat the mistakes of our parents or can we find a way to embrace the good while shunning their destructive legacy previously. This wasn't one of the summer reads. I was most looking forward to. But i wouldn't be surprised if it ends up. Being one of my very favorites the characters and there are a lot in this book or well developed and feel authentic. Each sibling is distinct with a unique personality and voice. It's smart and fun. Deep and thought provoking but with a locomotive narrative drive and it sent one of the most famous beaches in the world complete with rockstars and surfers and sent in the nineteen eighties. And while it has all those fun characteristics the writing and character development remains strong and engaging enough to hold readers that tend to slant literary but enjoy the fun of a betrayed. It's also fun and bitchy. Enough to interest a fan of what publishers pitch. As more typical be tweets. I've got to give you a whole bunch of content warnings before we go. There is substantial drug use severe. Alcoholism childhood abandonment infidelity death and violence and destruction and sexual content. That isn't terribly graphic. But i wouldn't call closed-door this book reminded me of siblings stories. I have left in the past like commonwealth and the dutch house. It put me a mind of old. Hollywood books like the stars of sunset boulevard and of course the seven husbands of evelyn hugo. It's got a little bit of a big little lies vibe and my mind kept going back to rob lowe's story. I only tell my friends for that. Malibu connection insurance if you're looking for a page turning family saga. That has everything you could want to be. And if you have enough money you can go as well. Which and so we as you know. Paper record we'll go for you and pay the money and tell you what it's about. I really like it. I think it's great. Let's do more. Yeah i i'm into it as well. Let's let's keep it going on. The sort of geographically adjacent topic. Kim kardashian skims was was announced to be outfitting. The us olympic team this season this year in tokyo giving them all Like sports bras and underwear. I think the man as well they everyone's getting some skims apparel. Yeah it seems to be the undergarments and pajama wear for the olympics. I mean i was shocked by this. You are really shocked and how you were raised pay. Who's pretty home in this relationship. I i don't know. I have to assume that someone some sponsor is paying skims in some capacity. Or maybe it's just. I don't know i guess. Rossler n doesn't like ralph lauren. Like pays for the uniforms. I guess and it's like good advertising right. So i that they're not getting like a kickback. From the i ac- or whatever. But i don't know it seems like all the ifc does is kickbacks. It's well it's like in the nba yasser's in the nba among other sports leagues. It's like the clothing company. Pays the league to make stuff and then it's like you know the benefit of being able to sell merchandise so is skims paying the us olympics. Whatever it is to have this opportunity. Probably except i just have a hard time the kardashians being like shirl pay anyone anything but especially the olympics team. So maybe they're just covering the costs. My initial reaction to this was i think it must be pretty hard to be an olympian. And you don't really have a life. Like i don't like i think all that you do as olympia and your whole life is you you trade and it's nearly demanding and i admire it. I don't have that kind of discipline. There's nothing like. I don't have goals that powerful in any walk of my life so i think that the olympia must spend a lotta time doing their sports doing although like auxiliary stuff that you gotta do you know the strength training and the ice bath and blah blah blah. And then probably whatever downtime. They have left. They just watch reality tv. 'cause like what else do you have the brain capacity for i if the olympians like the kardashians and are excited about the skims and this is something that can add to what is very stressful but exciting time in their lives. I i'm not that mad about it. If it's what the olympians want which. I can kind of see it being what they want. I mean they're all like twenty two years old and they've you know just ben in a swimming pool their entire life. That's all you do. So and then. Maybe you just like you're on your phone on your way home so you get some free skims. I that's great congratulations to them. Yeah i congratulations to everyone i. I'm just wondering like i assume the kardashians but continue to have a big tv presence. I'm sure they will but like are they just becoming products pushers now has that airs. Yes just merchandise. Yeah because they can and because they make a lot more money off of it. I guess that's like the way that you do instead of trying to be an actress. Now you just parlayed into manufacturing so much more efficient. It's here put my name on this. Give me money like it's you know it's jerk genius but yeah really the ultimate licensing deal. Yes in your name. Exactly it's like licensing your life rights but for products that have stories right. But i think they're making a lot of money off of it. Now they are. They absolutely are i mean. I don't know why. I'm knocking it or like acting so surprised the only been talking about it for a decade. But it's just it's just like so big. I can't believe it also. I think because the products themselves like if you look at the pictures like look different than the other scams item. So it's like it's a specific product line for the olympics. And i just didn't see this coming you know. I thought this was like the domain of nike and ralph lauren. Yeah and i guess like the outerwear is still the domain of ralph lauren. But listen the people like the skim stuff you have. You tried on. your broad. haven't got outside yet. So i don't have to wear it but when i tried it on it was it's it's nice and they're pretty inexpensive also like it's a good price point. I don't know i haven't done the full range. I'm not really in the market for shape. Wear with only one leg. You believe it. Or not when i go out for my night on the town and hit the red carpet. My the slit. My dress is not all the way up that you know had previously cut off one of the legs of my shape. Where can you imagine. What kind of life is that anyway. Was there, an artist that you really wanted to interview That didn't happen. Can you recall anything will see people. I wanted to interview that I didn't Baden Powell, who's next is one of them. I hear there's a almost get with Miles Davis as well. Is that right? Miles Davis worked out at the swam at the Pepper Dine pool in Malibu. Best 50 Olympic pool in L A. And I'm a swimmer and was a competitive swimmer in the lifeguard. I used to go up there. You could get a pass if you life guarded, like three days a year there, so I got the past. And I was hoping to meet him up there, and I already knew what I was gonna how I was going to introduce myself. I was going to tell him something wrong with his stroke or how if you get his kick better, because if I asked him, you know, it's a white dude asking Miles Davis musical question. He'd blow me off in a second. But if I said, Miles, you know you could get more pulling more speed. If you just cut your hands a certain way. I would get there. So you know, I'm I'm waiting for him. He had a yellow test Arosa Ferrari, and so I was hoping I would hear it And then I would know he was there and then I would go into the pool and my instrument strategize. But he never came, however. A French friend of mine, a woman and you know he Miles loved France. He loved French women. He had a torrid affair with Juliette Greco. I said Benny GTO. If you're in the pool and miles comes in, you have to go over and get his phone number over Chadema. So he came. She was in the pool. She went over. She met him. He talked to her. They went back and forth. But he was going on tour. He gave her his phone number. By the time he got back, and she called him. The number had changed. I think Cicely Tyson had, like changed it because, you know, miles you know, he got around. So that's his closest I ever got. Miles Davis a great story. Nonetheless, I mean, swimming with him and everything that that might have been just as good as having an interview. Another sense. So you mentioned Baden Powell earlier, which is a Brazilian. Uh Composer musician who I love and what is it about this song that stands out to you? Casablanca. Also, Bronco's been done that many people it's a North Desh Day song. It's from up north, and I think it was written by Luis Gonzaga. It's about you know, the Earth is dry that with the cows don't have anything to eat or any water, etcetera, etcetera. Ah Baden Powell recorded this in Frankfurt, Germany. He spent a lot of time in Germany because he got more work there. Plus, you know, the dictatorship in Brazil was not great. I mean, Katana below, so prepare to she'll spend a year in jail. Remember, so he left for Europe and did a lot of concert. This is an absolutely spectacular version of this song, which he recorded many, many times. But this is absolutely titanic performance of this song. It's my favorite. It's obscure. It's not easy to find, but I had I had to share it. Amazing. Well, let's take a listen to Baden Powell. Asa Branca here on morning becomes eclectic. Dr Okay? We're back. It is morning becomes eclectic. I am Anthony Valadez with no Veena Carmel And we have a very special morning because we're hanging out with one of the Oh jeez of KCRW, Tom Schnabel. He was beating the walls with spoons, and the neighbors told his mother get the kids, some drums driving us crazy. So that happened. And he got so good that he started like in the 19 thirties. And then when World War two broke out he was drafted. He went on a ship. Is it as an orchestra leader on that U S s Song T. And he was so popular as theory Angerer and Band leader of this orchestra, which he put a lot of Latin stuff, and Clive a into that when his tour of duty was over, the captain wouldn't let him off the ship. Because he liked the music and everybody liked the music so much so they wouldn't let him off the ship, and he stayed through the whole war and sailed into Tokyo Bay at the end of the war when the peace treaty was signed. Yeah. Funny. Funny story, boy. Come over one of his big hits. Okay, so Santana records it. And so Tito first is being cut it. Who is this kid anyway? With this rock and roller recording my song, and then he got the first royalty check. And it's like Carlos, be my guest. Come join me on stage. It's totally cool. And But doctor for Dr by refer Air Act as if this is something That we should all understand this incredible complexity with this system, and there were some issues and you know that's why it's so difficult. Well, I can't understand it. We could do this in paper version and simply have someone add up all the doses at the end of the day. And to say all the reporting doesn't make any sense. So we've had to do our own surveys, the Department of Public Health for Los Angeles County is effectively now using the same data collection method, his family feud. Yo, Who are they serving? She didn't say. Who are they Serving? Are they serving patients of the serving, You know, doctor's offices or or in The eye inoculation sites and saying, What would you guess? How what percentage would you guess you gave. I mean, this is a ridiculous Who the heck is she's serving. And what about what's the survey asking this makes no sense at all to either They have absolutely no idea who's gotten the vaccines or they do and I might be. I'm guessing that they know exactly how many people have gotten the vaccines. They don't like the number so once again, they are obvious skating in an attempt to draw attention away from the fact that they've done in abysmal job at launching this entire vaccine program, And I think we know just for the numbers that we see nationally on the amount of vaccine that's come to the state of California, where the amount distributed and administered usually floats between 20 and 30% range. It is in Possible that the largest county in the state has a vaccination rate of 76%. That does not make any sense whatsoever to anybody. I agree. And as I said, if you can't stand by your data collection source, then don't report it out. Simply say, we don't know We're having a problem with calculating it, and we're working on fixing that system. Don't go out and report a number like 76%. When it turns out, it's likely that they have absolutely no idea. You have a question for Dr Kelly Victory Now's the time to get on the line. 802 22 k A. B C. 100 to 2 to 5 to 2 to Dr Kelly will answer your questions on the coronavirus vaccinations. Everything in between lockdowns 802 22 k A. B c. Let's start with Scott in Malibu. You're on with Dr Kelly Victory. Hey, guys, How are you? Dr Kelly Victor. I want to say First of all, thank you. For all your knowledgeable information That's really refreshing. I watched the Sun Simone Gold video. It was very informative, and I just believe everything you guys were saying. I just had a quick question on A couple weeks ago or something I believe maybe I misunderstood. There was a a symptomatic Tests in China and the camera. You said it was 10,000 or 10 million. I was driving and that they is proven that if you are asymptomatic that it doesn't in fact Um, spread or you're you're you're contagious, and I just wanted to know if that's the case and if it is from trying to do we trust it. Um, and last just the frontline doctors websites great. And I couldn't remember the other one. If you could tell me that after you answer, the question would be great. Sure, and Scott. I appreciate the question we have known independent of this particular study that came out of Wuhan, China with 10. Million people looking at whether or not a symptomatic spread actually happens independent of that study. We have known from the beginning of time that asymptomatic people simply are not. Vectors for any respiratory virus. We know that people have to have symptoms to be able to spread it. It is theoretically possible. In a very small number of people that someone could be what we would call pre symptomatic meeting that little moment in time. That snapshot in time during which you actually have the virus. It has taken hold in your nose in your oral pharynx. You're just about to develop symptoms, But it's that moment when you haven't quite spiked a fever yet. Don't have any cough. No running nose, No sore throat. Nobody ex Whatever. But you still could potentially spread that virus to someone else. It's theoretical, we know, and even Dr Fauci himself admitted back in March that asymptomatic people are not the spreaders. They're not the vectors of respiratory viruses and one of the biggest problems with this entire pandemic response is we have acted as if there are bunch of people out there who might actually be sick. But don't know it and are out there willy nilly spreading the virus to others. It's silly. It is not based on any science, and this study that came out of Wuhan was just additional proof of that. With regards to the website. It was America's front line doctors and the other one is speak with an MD dot com Speak with an MD dot com has physicians who will conduct video visits and are able to prescribe medications for the early treatment of Cove it if they deem it to be appropriate. Thanks So much for the call Scott 802 22 k A. B C is the phone number Karen in Calabasas. You're on What? Dr Kelly Victory. My doctor on Kelly victory. I asked my general practitioner the other day if he knew of any of his patients had regained their sense of smell and taste. After having lost it to Cove. It And he said, No. Do you know of anyone that have regained regained it? It's absolutely Karen. Is this extraordinarily uncommon to not regain it? Um almost all patients will regain it fully. It may take a little while. It could take some weeks or even months, but it would be extraordinarily unlikely for you to not regain it. One of the things people could do if they have lost their sense of taste and smell. Is to make sure that they're continuing to take supplemental think we know that zinc will help those senses to come back more quickly. But it would be very, very uncommon for someone to maintain loss of either of those senses more than some weeks or months following recovery from Cove it and Karen We certainly hope that the recovery from that comes back quickly. But in the meantime, take advantage of the situation and load up on all the broccoli. You can Gotta dug in Torrance, your UN with Dr Kelly victory. Hello? Yes, I've had called it for Uh, 12 days. I've been taking Gamma flu. And the Z Pak and then this really strong drug called Prince Sista. And I'm not getting any better at all. And I'm just wanting to know if there's something else that maybe I could do. He kicked this and if not on bits, so Is it possible that I could get the vaccine? How long do I have to wait to get it? And then 65. Yeah, well, I obviously I have not examined. You are seeing your particular case. But I can say that it doesn't sound like you're on most of the medications that we would recommend for someone suffering from cove in.
