"To sign and if we had stone cold here a couple of weeks ago, that's on our YouTube page talking about being back at WrestleMania and he came in on Steve Austin day. Three 16. That was fun. YouTube dot com slash rich eisen show for all of that. How about those two conversations? One recently retired one who's now a year into his retirement after, let's put a 29 combined years of NFL playing. Wow. First overall pick and Smith and 14th overall pick four years apart in Malcolm Jenkins. Alex didn't get to a Super Bowl didn't play in one didn't win one, but he was on the sidelines, right? So he got to him. He got to one, that's true. I mean, think about his career. Same draft class is Rogers, which was huge. Then he winds up losing his gig to Kaepernick. Then he gets it back with Kansas City, then mahomes gets drafted, and then he winds up with Washington and finishes up his career as a comeback player of the year and one of the most catastrophic injuries you've seen anybody ever suffer and then come back and lead his team on a playoff run. But how about him saying that the front office stuff crept into his focus? That was really interesting. I haven't heard anybody say that. No, I know what Robert Griffin is like, how could you not is it not? Kind of RG three has been really the only one to talk about it, mentioned doing a book, and then that has since been squashed, but yeah, I haven't heard people really talk about that. Let's go to take a phone call before we go out of Dodge, Robin Washington state back here on the show. How you been Robert? Hi. I want to talk about the overtime rules. Go for it. Well, first off, I've been against it. So I don't I don't like it. Now the way it is because I don't see how it's fair for a second team to have four downs to make a first down, let's say the first team scores and the second team gets all four downs to try to advance the ball. Exactly, the team that gets its second has a totally different set of circumstances than the team that gets it first, which is why I think most teams will want to either. Win the toss and defer or hope the team that wins the toss feels like they have such momentum. They take it. I wouldn't do that. Here's my point of the day. I think sooner or later of smart coach is going to figure out that the smartest play to start off with if you have to kick the ball is to onsite kick. Because that.

"We weren't part of the mainstream moment. Okay. We got goals though. Okay. That have been great spell your name right, damari. That's one of the things that I've been excited to grow every year. It just gets bigger and bigger. And like you said, the production company is really, that's my, that's where I'm excited to jump into next. I've always been a storyteller. I've always been somebody who wants to kind of educate the masses. But I've always been hamstrung by sports media. You know, like I still only have access to the sports writers and platforms that are around me. So to really take advantage of my own voice, both in front of the camera and behind the camera and tell the stories that I want in a little bit more creative way than what people have seen from me in the past and something I'm really excited about. I've been writing a scripted comedy series alongside of a really good writer named chuck Hayward. He's written for WandaVision and for dear white people and it's a comedy loosely based around my experience as a professional athlete and it's in these kind of creative projects that I really found my voice and how I want to express this new journey. I'm onto the world. And that's really what I'm most excited about stepping into next. And obviously, the game is something I love. So broadcasting is always in my future being around the game talking about it is what I love to do, I don't see that changing at all. So there's a lot of things, a lot of options, a lot of things on the table. And right now, I'm taking it all in being in a moment and really excited about the opening the future. Well, you always have a place here in Malcolm Jenkins, as you know, I've always enjoyed talking to you as a player. I look forward to doing it. On in the future, now that you're career is over. I mean, two super bowls, three pro bowls, 13 seasons, 14th overall pick in the 2009 draft, a thousand tackles and 20 interceptions since entering the NFL in 2009 over the thousand tackles. Nobody else has that stat line, an incredible career for somebody who came from a basketball school. So big Malcolm for you. Congratulations. I appreciate you. You know what? I'm surprised and I kudos to you. You're a good man of integrity because I rubbed it in your face every time I've been on the show. Entertaining. And how they always fall short of victory when I would amend the word always. No, I would amend the word always. And you know what? I was surprised at all other people that I heard from last year with the great debacle was I didn't hear from you. And I was like, you know what? Richard's a good man. Well, you know, I just bowed down. I just wait. I wait. I bide time. I lurk. That's what I'm a professional lurker. Malcolm. So, but hey, you know, I could set for a basketball school. Would have been great to have Michigan Ohio State and the sweet 16. We were there. Unfortunately, you couldn't make it. So we'll just have to do that down the road. Just have to do all that down the road. Malcolm. Okay. Malcolm is the only person you didn't call in during this whole concept. You didn't want any of this smoke is all I'm basically saying. You didn't want that call Malcolm. I didn't remind I didn't reach out anything. The black myself. Anytime Malcolm, please, whatever you want to do here in LA, you've got a place here. I've always appreciate you calling in and making my show part of your playing career and I look forward to more. Thanks for the call. Always appreciate the support, brother. Right back at you. That's Malcolm Jenkins. There is one of the best taken off going into his retirement from playing. We'll take a break and a recent retiree and Alex Smith will be joining us on the program. Look at us. We should have an AARP sponsorship. That's next right here on the rich eisen show. We'll take a break. Alex Smith, when we come back. Back in 2005, and he retired last year after 16 terrific years in the NFL. Now joining us here on the rich eisen show courtesy of Yukon. We'll talk about that with Alex Smith here on the program. How have you been Alex Smith? Rich, I'm doing awesome, man. How are you doing? Long time. No, a long time no talk. It has been that long. I thought it was me. Again, I know it shouldn't be about me, but I thought, did I do something wrong? Alex, did I do anything wrong? You did not absolutely not. You know what? I feel like as you get older and you get plain, especially the quarterback and there's a lot of obviously obligations and things you have to do. And you do, for me, and as I had kids and family, you get good at just kind of when you can kind of disappear into your privacy and it has been too long. It has been good to be on the show. Good to be back. How is it like to be around a fam? How's it like for you? Alex. You know, it's been amazing. I'm incredibly lucky. My kids are amazing ages. My boys are basically almost 11 to 9 without 6. And that was really kind of impetus of me retiring last year. You know, in a lot of ways, I'm even physically better than I was a year ago. But just your family ends up sacrificing so much. For your career, you know, we moved across the country. Obviously, football, not just on a daily, but an annually thing kind of just dominates our calendar. It dictates everything. Life as we know it. And they sacrifice for that long. And so finally, I felt like it was time..

"I think hopefully players see their role in speaking up on behalf of these coaches to get their fair share. But I also think we need to hear from black coaches as well in the fan base to continue to push the NFL to being a more diverse and equitable equitable place, especially one that at least reflects its locker rooms, locker rooms and his main source of labor. Malcolm Jenkins here on the day of his announced retirement on the rich eisen show. So we know about your foundation. We've talked about that other times. Give me an update on that. And what's next for you? What else is on your plate? Other than being a dad. We started in 2010. So 12 years of years work in multiple cities. And the good thing is, it's one of those things I've always wanted to outlast me in my fame and it is one that will continue far beyond my playing career. And so we've been focused over the last really two years on financial literacy, opening bank accounts or savings accounts for school aged children, getting them to understand the principles of investing and how to build and grow well. As well as providing, we have been building out this digital curriculum academy for kids in high school to really get prepared with other life skills and hear from different subject matter experts in various amounts of fields that aren't sure that you don't have to go to a non traditional four years at a college to get to. So when people want to go from high school right into the workforce, we want to create an academy that is selling them the road maps to do that in ways that aren't your traditional pathways. And so those have been the main things that we've been working on trying to affect as many kids and youth as possible. And obviously, my mom is the president of the foundation and the one who is really carried this on. And so as I'm looking at and reflecting on what we've been able to do over the last 13 years or ten years for us as a foundation, I'm proud of knowing myself and my mom and the board that is really helped me bring this idea that I had a long time ago to give back to my community and have an impact and brought it over a decade to doing some really, really impactful work and affecting thousands of people and hopefully continuing to do that. And then of course your business interests. I know about your media listen up media. You began your production company every week and watch your first project that won best documentary in the film festival circuit called black boys. You can watch that right here on peacock. You got a clothing line too. You can start that one out too. Yeah, so the clothes in line has actually been around for a to be 5 years. 5 years. Fantastic. This is awesome. We started out with just custom suits. And now we do full men's wear women's wear. We've had numerous athletes, both NFL, NBA, WNBA, aware in our stuff. Styling before the games and things like that, but we just continue to grow even this past weekend at the Oscars had a few celebrities on the red carpet awareness stuff. So tell me it was Chris Rock. Please tell me it was Chris Rock..

"Thing that there was a culture in which he can communicate like that openly in nobody raises a red flag. Nobody said anything was actually okay and to me. So that's that's really. The problem is that we're still existing in culture that behind the scenes. This is the dialogue. And we don't really get a chance to see behind that. We know that the results are that. There's a lack of diversity in in coaches that you know we've seen the rasonable remain. That players were going through with the healthcare system. We're trying to get benefits when they retire. There's all symptoms that we like to point at. And i think this is the first time we get the really seats behind the veil. When you see that this is how the leadership of the nfl has been talking and been okay with talking you know for a long time and So i think the biggest thing is. I hope that people continue to put pressure on the league to really make changes in leadership. We need to have a change in leadership a diversity leadership if you want to change the culture otherwise everything else is just feel good. Branding that you know makes us feel okay about watching the game but it actually doesn't change the you know the culture inside of the nfl yummy that begs the question of My last question where i know we got cut. Go the when you talk about leadership. I look at you as leader beyond beyond your career on the field. So i wonder if you have the aspiration. We know that you're going to be burnley owner and part owner after a ball after your career ends with the saints or with any other team. What about your aspirations. After football in terms of player leadership or leadership outside of a ball just sort of curious. I mean you know. I think what he's talking about aspirations. I would love for there to be black ownership in the nfl. And if that doesn't come to fruition and then really what i would like is for there to be a separate league it. We're talking to aspirations. Because the league is made up seventy percent of black bodies right so this billion dollar multibillion dollar company is being made off the backs of black bodies and yet when you look at the ownership of it. It doesn't have the we don't have any black owners And so. I think that that scale needs the tip at some point in time where the amount of money that's being made is actually shared equally amongst those who are making them You know we get caught up in. How big the dollars are and we say. All wealth is players getting paid tons of money. They're fine but when you really think about it from an equity standpoint in all of the things that are happening there is so much money still being made off the backs of black and brown folks. That don't be you know a fraction of what's coming from the league so either either we need more black owners or we need another league that that has black ownership malcolm jenkins new part owner i active. Nfl players investment.

"This week you're going to hear a couple rants for me about things going on out there. And then we're going to bring in malcolm jenkins the new orleans saints well known figure in the nfl for so many years with the same then the eagles now back with the saints. He's got a new venture. I'm gonna tell you right now. You gotta listen. It is amazing what he's doing right now outside football in another world of football something. They call football in different places. We'll get to that in a minute. We're sponsored always by draft kings. And i want to get to my i rent. It's about ben. Simmons yes the nba starts. Tonight actually started last night. I'm recording this on wednesday but it starts for the philadelphia seventy sixers tonight without one. Ben simmons for those. You haven't followed off season. Didn't want to be here Word from his agent. He'll never set foot in philadelphia. Where i'm coming to you from. But loma hold the sixers advantage of the contract so the contracts said that he gets quarterly instalments of his money. Thirty three million dollars. Eight point two five million every quarter. The eight point two five. He got the summer. That's is than eight point. Two five million to october the sixers said. Hey we're gonna take that. Eighteen five million or to keep it as a fun for any fines or suspension amounts that you incur and they kept it in escrow escrow advantage sixers so low behold guess who shows up last week. Ben simmons who said he'd never played philadelphia. That's the easy part. Then they get into practice. And simmons is non engaged in similar. Exacting lady doesn't wanna be there in. Simmons doesn't go in the drills and he is sent home in suspended for tonight's opening game against new orleans. Pelicans now my insight into this is really the fact that simmons does not have leverage. You i know people say he's going to be a pain in the ass until the sixers trade him and he's going to force a trade and he's going to manage the situation while the problem is he's got four years left on his contract. This is not a creation. So ben simmons has to deal with the fact that he's got they got his money and he's got Contract that's where it gets difficult now..

We just saw a fantastic bill. Burr rant from three years ago. When i asked him why boston fans sports fans appear to be happy. Only when they're unhappy. We got a post that later on. Chris let's post ad clever later on our show page. That's that must be shared three years old three years old all right so put this tweet up again that we saw. I laughed out loud. The as the kids would say l. o. Eld diana ross seaney. I just took more pictures. And videos of julio jones and the practice field for the first time of the titans than any other moment in my personal life weddings birthdays family parties. Anita reevaluate my life. I i feel like you have to call people when when you see this sort of plea for help is diane rossini on the phone line ride from. Espn you there. How me i mean. I'm down on the ground. I laid down at one point to get this really good angle. 'cause i wanted to show his legs in how strong they are. I'm running from both sides of the feels. your variable. Apparently likes to make sure his media fit. I'm sweating was allstate in track new jersey okay. I didn't know what the hell happened. Me i even make it. I was actually like kind of giggling as i was jogging. This is awful. I mean i know this is a run first team. For why the heck did we have to run now. Do you know what because first of all there may be three is diana rossini. But you're a team player. That's number one number two what's happened to you is sports media. That's what's happened to you. Okay that's like a what fowler is like the only guy who seems to get stronger as long as these days in sports media like. I don't know how many other aikman i'm see troy aikman's workout videos and stuff like that very impressive. But he's a former professional athlete. But you just only no one speed diana you see store and you just go for. How many photographs did you. In fact take of. I look fifty four. What do this is what i'm thinking about. What the heck am. The proper credit will do all of that absolutely but this is a big story. You've been covering this story. He's finally now actually here. Maybe that's part of your excitement to diana. I think that's what it is. I think i. I like going into situations and really having zero. Shame which is what i had today. you know the the beer reporters in tennessee are fantastic. Great job there. Like a freely fun group. And they're very accepting when i come in because i don't get to come too often But i wish. I could say brought like a level of just like national professionalism. I'm i'm worse than any now. The pr guy screaming at me. Put any step back. you're gonna get hit i. I don't really like rules so either way you're right. It is a big enrich. You wanna know why. I think it's a big story. Go from over the tree now. Good job john robinson way to go yet. You traded him on a on a pontoon boat with your family to me. It's the fact that this is voluntary and this is just a really really good first step in my opinion in telling this tennessee titans coaching staff the team. I'm here to be a tight and i'm here to play. I don't need to beer. I'm julio jones thirty two years old future hall of famer. Perhaps i don't need to but i am and i think the fact that he is hungry to learn and of course. I'm sure this doesn't surprise you. The first pasa practice from ryan tannehill went to number two damn strength. Exactly no and and and do you think diana direct diner. We're seeing espn here. Do you think there's anybody in atlanta seeing Julio working out right now voluntary after he missed so much practice time last year. Seem what the hell. Where was that guy. Is there anybody thinking. Atlanta thinking that when they see him out there at the volunteer. Abel's out here and thank god. Thank you. I'm thinking because you have to figure you know we know his style. We know who's coaching way. We know where he comes from. What how they did things in new england so to now be trying to make this little mini new england that he's trying to build here in in in a great way. That was the big question mark for me when when this was all happening and i heard tennessee pushing him pushing. I i was like i was just going to work. I had a hard time believing that they're going to allow. Julio jones not to practice if he doesn't want to practice from had heard in atlanta so this is this is just a really good first step granted it's day one of the honeymoon but Hopefully they can go a few years here with some success. It's exciting it really. Is they gotta be all fired. Up so I appreciate you hopping on. Because i'm sure you're doing. Millions of sportscenter hits. And then you are you. You're talking to julio later so what you're doing later on. It's actually happening right now. I tell you Well i'm just saying is that if you're if you're going to be talking later just let him know He's he's on And it's being recorded. Will you let them know that in for the happened i will. I will let him know that and then at the end of the interview i will say thank you. Here are the fifty seven pictures i have. I don't want don't forget the direct message. Some of them were text. Some of them test. And we'll put up there. We got you got you covered i. I worked for everyone these days. It doesn't matter all in this together we are. Thanks for the call. You take care. i'm glad you get your cardio. And thanks. God there's diana rossini of espn. Everybody that just made me laugh. The whole thing voluntary voluntary him.

That's only if your needs things it starts at the same time. It's t now j. Just like the house now see now putting together a certain school. I'm not for long. You gotta do anything coach No malcolm we don't something going on with aaron rodgers guy would let you slide on that one but you know you. You're up to speed enough. What's going on with michigan. You understand that or the school up north. pardon me. so how do you think in in in all seriousness. Urban meyer will fare in the nfl. After all those years in college and that the ohio state university. How do you think he's going to. He's going to do with this next level knock. We'll see i. I think always been you know a tough transition for coaches Mainly coaches who Are used to having a certain level of control clean level and now you're in a locker room with you. Know guys like aaron rodgers looking who can make their own decisions have been in the league for a long time. Who know what they're doing to their bodies ready And we've seen some coaches struggle with that. We've seen some do well. I think he's been known to be one of those controlling high-intensity type coaches And so it'd be interesting to see what the what is adjustment. You know as but you know. It's it's a tough league and if if you can't high in very highly competitive and and obviously already kind of making waves with the tibo signing and so we'll see we'll see where that goes. Well i mean to me. I thought you know that also you tell me if i'm wrong that that that would also indicate to everybody in the locker room in jacksonville that if that if it all out for us and you play the in the manner in which you know I want you to play for me that this this is for life that we're doing what do you think sit signing t-boz away to indicate to everyone in the in the locker room or you think it's just something that's totally out of left field and was maybe a little bit out of pocket. What do you think well. I don't i mean it's not like he went and signed every player that he played with a florida right people when the heisman for them right. So i mean if it's one of those if you're going to be the next league mvp for sure it's a forever thing but i think I don't know how many guys look at that move and you know and respected it As as as guys who in his league who've worked their entire lives here. What really really hard to stay here in a highly competitive space. I don't know if it was network on on a reception. Malcolm love chat with you Best to your family best to you. He's just a confident man with super bowl. Rings has made quite a career for himself in league where the average is fourteen four years and he's done at thirteen who he is. Just a confident manager. So tell you what you think and let the chips fall where they may. I love it. It's rare it's not It's rare it's rare and I open myself up to the broadsides and that's why november is going to come around and at some point november is gonna be broadsided right back and that day will be such a glorious day. I'm going to be impossible to be around impossible. It's going don't look at me and say it's not going to happen. The rest of my life. Don't say that it's just a bad stretch right now. Go to work behind an offensive line of Charles Leno, Junior Cody White hair, Sam Lucifer, Alex bars and remaining steady from left to right along the offensive line. Jimmy Graham is the tight end Alan Robinson, Anthony Miller, the wide receivers will see who starts to the injured Darnell mooning today. David Montgomery. He has been the Bell cow for this offense of the Bears of late, almost 100 yards per game average. Over the last six games. Miller in motion from the eight yard line on first Down out of the shotgun swing past left side, the Miller looking for a block and Miller ushered out of bounds at the 10 yard line. Just to pick up of two as we set the Saints defense for you, Cameron Jordan, Marcus Davenport on the ends Malcolm Brown and David on Yamada in the middle of that line, Alexandra Alone Exact Bond tomorrow. Davis of the linebackers, Generous Jenkins Marchand Lattimore, the corners. Marcus Williams and Malcolm Jenkins, part of a veteran good secondary for the Saints. Saints defense third in the league this year, allowing just over 310 yards per game on second down Montgomery with Carrie and he'll go over the left side of the 13 yard line. Except three. And now third and five for the Bears deep in their own. End it there on 13 yard line. It will be interesting to see what offensive coordinator Bill Laser does on this down. They're going straight. The line of scrimmage. We're trying to catch the Saints and a basic coverage sent in from the sidelines third down and 53 receivers right of the line number is going to move from the left to the left of travesties stands on the left cash in the gun moving from left to right. For Biscuit arms outstretched gets the shotgun snapping his way. Same fresh five Robiskie pumps throws over the middle, and that's almost intercepted in and out of the hands of generous Jenkins, who was crossing in front of the intended receiver Alan Robinson and nearly picked up for this game to 23 as the punt team runs on for the bear. When you have time to say he pumped And when he pumps he's looking in that direction. That means that the defense also had that same amount of time to drive on the football, and when he pumped, they drove on the ball and almost came up with the interception. Deante Harris is the deep man, his toes on the Saints 40 yard line as Pat O'Donnell yard deep in the end zone will put it away after a bear's three and out pressure coming up the middle of Donald gets rid of this one. Harris, ranging toward the far sideline back pedals to the 38 yard. By now across the 40 tries to cut it left to the 45 down. "Is what I should say inside the FC. When when you look at it the first time that they lost for Buffalo and when you see with Buffalo You're now going to start to get questions. Are they? A great team is Josh Allen? As great as we made him out to bay. I've been someone That I thought Buffalo. I told you it's the offseason. Gonna win 10 11 games. Gonna win the FCC. When I look at Buffalo I've never thought they were a great team, though. Yeah, Their defense is good. Yeah, There's things too like in the offense aside the ball, But there's a difference between very good and great. I think Buffalos in that very good category right now. Now I have a huge game coming up on Monday. Now Buffalo, Kansas City. That's huge, You know, gotta win that game. Just got to show up and I want to see what this team is made out of. If they're able to keep it a close game, maybe get the victory outright. I would not expect it. If they get blown out again. I think some people will start to sour on Buffalo, but Buffalo still expected to win double digit games. Here's Josh Allen saying that I can't let this loss affect them moving forward. It is what it is. You know, we're not going to find us. We understand not you can't win them all. So, uh, but again, we got to be better to this a planned turnovers. Decision making on my part penalties. Costly penalties drops early on, We got to be better, and you know, it starts starts with me. All right. Next up. We get to Malcolm Jenkins Seems on Sirius six M NFL radio Michael Thomas. He was suspended for this game was inactive because of a fight that he got him with a teammate in practice. Where is Malcolm Jenkins, one of the leaders on the saint suggesting the whole Michael Thomas situation. That situation has obviously been been address. We need him, you know, moving forward and we want to be the team. That we aspire to be. And so you know this there was something that needed to be handled it. And I think that, uh, you know, Michael B B just like there's a lot of times where inside of a locker room. When things go, not the way that they're supposed to go off on the practice field. We're depending on the clout that the player has in the organization. There will be some teams that will sweep.

"With with slave you brought here from from the day of foundation and Those ideas have persisted throughout the last hundreds of years, and it's going to take time so we can get those all out now. I told you about the 16 19 project. It's all coming together. Now. You see what's happening. They're going to teach this in schools. This is going to be a bit big thing, teachers. We're gonna have to learn it. They're going to pass it along to kids. That's why this home learning thing might not be such a bad thing is your boy Ryan Tannehill? That's where you're going to be watching. And then even worse than that, with the New Orleans Saints? I believe he is Malcolm Jenkins. Yes, this guy actually encourage exhorted people to go out and commit violence. Take a listen. These are the things that are at the top of the agenda for black people We haven't heard yet And I think until we continue to demand it until Black lives matter Goals from just an idea or goal that we're trying to attain as a society, and it is actually realizing the streets. We won't see any piece, and I think we'll continue to see athletes and entertainers as well. A citizen's disrupt the status quo until that's recognized that he was a guy, actually on the saints. He was the one that really embarrassed Drew Brees. He was the guy Jenkins that made you breeze apologizing as close as you can come to. Ah, actually calling for violence, growing getting away with it. I mean, that's what you have. Now. What do you want? What? What does mom Nccam Jenkins want Does he want socialist Marxist society with reparations? I wish he would articulate that. Tell me what you're looking for. What do you want? I mean, do you not know that of the stats that the police have 300 million interactions with police all over the country every year? 300 million and out of all of those 300 million you have. What? In 2019 10 on on black men were shot, right? I mean, do you not understand? I know what you keeping a police brutality and look I'm on your side with this 100% of can't stand Malcolm Johnson. I'm gonna watch the same play the Buccaneers on Sunday because it's Brady versus breeze. But you keeping our police brutality? That's not their whole argument. But what I'm saying I want to walk down the street without being bothered by a cop. Because the blood I want to hear this from it. Well, they've said that I want to hear this and and then we have to ask. Why is that? Then we have to ask Why? Why? Because if you live in a high crime neighborhood That's where the police go. And if you're a young black male they commit, commit a disproportionate amount of the crime. So the police 10, maybe to focus on them instead of the 73 year old black lady in the neighborhood. Who knows? I don't know if that's a difficult conversation. Part of the conversation also is why is there only one president in the NFL happens to be the Washington football team that's black. Why are there so many? Why there's so few CEO owes in this country that are black. I mean, their argument goes above and beyond just police and how they handle black. They claim they're being oppressed in every profession. Listen, he poisoning kids minds with this. You can't make it in this country. It's the deck is stacked against you. Nobody's ever going to make it. They gonna walk around with this chip on their shoulder. They say Why? Why should I even try? Why should even learn. I don't have a shot. It's poison is what it is. It's just plain poison. Now. Joe Biden, speaking of poison, this idiot went to Kenosha last week after the present. He criticized President Trump for going The governor said. Don't go. It's going to cause problems because no problems the president had aroused. He got a rousing reception He met with law enforcement people, and it was a complete success. Wisconsin is a swing state. Kenosha is a swing city, believe it or not, so then, after ignoring all the violence at the Democratic National Convention, Biden acknowledged it last week. And after Trump two days after Trump went, this moron gets out of the basement and goes to Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he spoke to nobody. There was nobody there. I mean, he eventually took questions. I'll get to that in a second. There were eight people in the room. But at one point, he said, this now you question Ah ah, Biden's mental acuity. Take a listen. 19 corporations. Making a billion dollars apiece. Don't pay a single penny in taxes. Not want to punish anybody, but every should pay a fair share. I can lay out for it won't now because they'll shoot me Now That's Joe Biden in Kenosha. They'll shoot. He's there because of this shooting on. He's talking about taxes makes no sense. Plus, he called the guy that got shot. This guy's under arrest for a digitally raping a woman scumbag. Take a Blake and so he's going those Joe Biden for calling him. I mean, it's absolutely outrageous and then he's like I can't eat someone's called him out on Twitter last week and said He also whipped George Floyd for nine arrests and putting a gun to appoint the woman's stomach. And she was one of actually called Jacob like a scumbag on Twitter before I did, And that was, of course, before her very famous fight with Cordy Bill. It's beautiful. The week we were here. I pointed out many, many times that he was arrested. For. He was he had a warrant out for his arrest for rape for sexual assault. And it was on this woman and that woman called the police to say Please, police come help me and they went to help the black woman out on Joe Biden's calling. He's the perpetrator. She was the victim. He was the perpetrator in that particular case, and he's calling her Now he did take of the After mentioned questions There was like, Like I said, there were eight people in the room as opposed to Trump's They had the streets were lined with people cheering them on. Anyway, This is one of the questions I was going to be honest, Mr. But and I was told to go off this paper, but.

"Kind of college football season we're going to have this year. I think it's going to be very, very disjointed, very truncated. Let's call it in terms of the haves and the have nots who will be playing who won't be playing. But there's there's more than just football and what's going on out there? Because I think a lot of people sort of think or assume that the National Football League and I'm one of them. The NFL is going to be just fine. They're going to play their season. They might sacrifice the preseason games, but ultimately we're going to get regular season football. I think in college football The power six. Let's call them and I'll throw the American in there as well. I think they're locks the play some sort of schedule this year, even if it is just on the conference variety after that, and the other FBS leagues. I really don't know. I can't say. I don't know There's going to be some ingenuity and Notre Dame to be able to make up some games that might get crossed off the old calendar. Or does the a C C look at it and say, Hey, you know what? Maybe we need to keep some of these games against Notre Dame because we need some help Come bowl time. We need some help Come bowl season and maybe playing Notre Dame. To get a win over Notre Dame on having a pretty good conference record ends up helping to get you to a better bowl again. The money is going to be a massive factor in all this, but there are two other stories that I want to mix in. And then we're getting into all of it with you at 855 to 1 to four, CBS The other one is that the Redskins will apparently make it official tomorrow and that they are going to change their name, however. Because of copyright issues. They don't want to announce what they're changing the name to So it's really an announcement of a future announcement. The announcement tomorrow will be we're changing the name. And here's the reason why we're doing it. But the reason we're not telling you what we're changing it to is because we haven't been able to trademark it yet, And I would dare say that the league would have to work with whomever the league partner is in terms of manufacturing gear, logoed gear. That's got to get run up the old proverbial flagpole, so to speak in terms of other NFL owners, people signing off on what they need to to be ableto handle that other end of it, And I do think Dan Snyder is trying to call unquote protect the asset a little bit. And why they are moving forward with the sea. If I were Snyder and crew or if I were advising them, I would say, Don't announce it until it's done. What they're trying to do is put out a fire that is smoldering right now that people want to throw gasoline on and just get it enraged to get flamed up and fired up one more time. They're trying to at least throw enough water on it that it buys them. Timeto work through some legitimate things that they would have to work through. By the way, copyrighting designing something new in terms of No, you're designing a new logo. No, it's not like it's not like the Redskins can just go do this unilaterally. They are going to have to work with league partners and work with league to be able to get this done, but it seems like They are headed towards something like that. And You know, Sean Jackson made some. Ah, some comments this week that quite honestly. I'm Ah, I'm disappointed. That others who have been vocal In terms of social injustice, and some of those who have been out there saying what we need to stop and we need the listen and we need to understand. You know when I hear people like Malcolm Jenkins Basically say, Well, the Jews aren't our problem, but just, uh, taking focus off of black lives matter. It's not exactly really listening. Is it or when you have Steven Jackson, who has been Maura than willing to jump out and condemn people for not listening or being educated for him, and then turn around and be like? I don't know nothing about Hitler and I don't give us about Hitler. What? You're going to sit here and you're going to bark it people and you're gonna yell it people. That they're not listening. They're not educated. They don't know what it is. It's the whole well, you don't know what you're supposed to be upset about. Let me educate you on that. And then you turn around and because it isn't tied into your cause. You're going to look at it and be like, Well, I don't give an f about any of that stuff. Well, wait a minute. But let's just be real here. If Tom Brady said that Well, the reaction be If Peyton Manning had said that Moreover, the reaction may I mean, so now are we going to just selectively? Get outraged. Over hate. Or is it just? Oh, no, no, no. You listen to what I find hateful and you're supposed to listen to my side of things And I don't have to care or worry about Ah, bunch of other stuff because it doesn't affect me so therefore I'm gonna be a little selective. In the in in the way I go about preaching. How we need to get rid of hate in this country. Malcolm Jenkins. Seemed bothered that This whole situation with Sean Jackson. I do believe the quote was it's all distraction from the Black Lives matter movement, saying quote Jewish people aren't our problem. And we aren't their problem. We got a lot of work to do. And this ain't it. So Malcolm Jenkins wants to separate hate. Ladies and gentlemen, is really what it is. He wants to separate the hate because it doesn't fit..

"Now his character was available because he wasn't a very nice guy, and he wasn't a very hey was thoroughly and howdy and it was Considered to be relatively selfish, so the rest of it was was easily digestible. But it also was easily refute herbal, and it didn't really stick with him when he went to Washington and tans, Abed, So that's sort of where does Sean Jackson is and became, He remained a very potent weapon. Probably the best big The best big play deep threat after Randy Moss off this sort of generation of this era that said the Eagles Regal that eager to get him back Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie reluctant to cut out to cut the show on Jackson. After the 2013 seasons, but they did and they believed that he could flourish in this environment. Unfortunately, last year he got hurt in the first game and didn't really contribute. And hope to make a triumphant return. You know this September if the season if this isn't actually happening, So to be clear when the question of bringing to Sean Jackson back before last year season came up. There was a lot of debate in Philadelphia because there were still people that were holding on to whatever it wass. That they wanted to hold on to negatively about Sean. Finally, the organization decided we're going to bring him back. They needed a speed receiver. They you know they were, I guess several reasons. But the decision was made to bring him back. Extend. Give me you know, Contract extension. Hey, got to my life You mentioned he got hurt. Unfortunately, early in the season. But still in the minds of a lot of Ah Eagle fans. You know that Sean was back. But since he really didn't do much on the field, I think that did a lot in holding on to some of the The old ill feelings towards him from the fan base. Not so much from the organization. But here we go as he recovers physically and went through. Ah, big rehab and I was ready to go. You know, That's what we all expected A return of the lethal weapon, which was the show on Jackson back on the field, And now we arrive in earlier this week. Take us through their well. John Jackson last weekend. Uh, you through post to, um, attributed to those Farrakhan and the third, Ah, misquote actually of Adolf Hitler, all of which were divisive and anti Semitic. So That said it sort of went under the radar. I didn't see it until Joe Banner, the Eagles former Eagles former chief executive who drafted to Sean Jackson, Noted that these anti Semitic market if they were made by a white player, there would be a huge uproar house to Sean Jackson getting away with it. This was Monday night Tuesday morning. It sort of exploded and then on Wednesday, we have the you know whatever apology, whatever degree of apology and recalcitrance and pledge Had been done, They you know, he said. He needed me like Drew Brees heated three. He needed three chances to convince people how of his lack of insincerity because all of them were into Syrian so weird reason that by Wednesday he had been like Opposed by another device move black figure that a 30 that not only was Sean Jackson right in his initial post, but he should have had to apologize. But that was still no, No, no, That was Dr No, that was Dr Um Kumar Johnson quote unquote psychologist. News from North Philadelphia who in an Instagram post asserted that the Sean Jackson should not have had to apologize and that Sean Jackson was right all along. Now, that's fine. He got you know, 625,000 Instagram followers, one of whom apparently is Sean Jackson, who liked it. How he made his apologies. So at that point, but that's more. Get it on the fire, right? Exactly Right. Exactly. So then you know you had you throw into the mix. Julian Adelman, Jewish wide receiver in the NFL Patriots. Asserting that I will take you to the Holocaust Museum and we will enlighten you. And since then Sean Jackson met with a rabbi. He's met with the Holocaust driver. He's been fined by the Eagles and will contribute money to Jewish causes. But honestly, for me the liking of the post after his, you know, three pronged apology and initial meeting with a rabbi that just that there's no sincerity to it. It's just I'm doing this because I have to. This is the Marshawn Lynch. I'm here because I have to be here at the Super Bowl, You know, remember? No. Yeah, Just on I wrote today, you know, not only other, A lot of people have handled this wrong. Including the Sean Jackson clearly Who's sincerity? I don't think you can. You can trust the Eagles, who should have been harsher with him. Even if you know, causing him to be suspended, was appealed, and they lost the appeal of these. They tried and this would be an admission that they were wrong and not spending Riley Cooper Seven years ago. But also Malcolm Jenkins, who lost his mind when Drew Brees asserted that kneeling during the national anthem disrespects the flag. But and did so for four minutes and 30 seconds and said, I don't know if I can let this slide but issued a 32nd Instagram post. When did John Jackson did what he did, and it took him three days to issue the post. It was 36 seconds long. He did not mention the action by name. He did not repudiate Lewis, Erica and Louis Farrakhan is so anti Semetic that he was banned from Facebook in 2019. He has blamed 9 11 on the Jews. He was a more market offi ally. Hey, compares himself to wounded miters a admire that all Hitler, he called. He called factions that don't agree with him and he's a leader. He was the leader of the nation of Islam. He calls them Devil Christians and Satanic Jews. You cannot not repudiate this guy because allowed not repudiating him is an implicit endorsement Interesting. And so Malcolm comes out yesterday in a you mentioned an instagram post in a hood basically, and doesn't mention to Sean. Uh and Jenna and Malcolm Jenkins, for those that don't know with the Eagles is now a member of Saints, ironically with breeze But as a member of the Eagles the last couple of years, Marcus has taken a leadership stance in everything having to do with Social justice. Had done a lot of very positive things, even after a Monday night game against Washington, that team that that Washington team that one had gone to Harrisburg, if you remember along with a couple of teammates To have a meeting with the You know the state government and got some things changed on that level. So there was a lot of credibility built up with Malcolm Jenkins. He's even been on one of the news networks now added as as a pundit. You know, we're all things social justice. How much damage did he do to his own credibility yesterday and how much more gas on the Shawn's fire did it cause well, let's start with the first thing. Malcolm the tires irrelevant whether he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt or a suit tie that's completely irrelevant..

taken so much joy in glee and all these you eagles trouble no I'm not I'm curious I am truly curious about what's going on in Philadelphia I'm truly curious about how it could go the way that appears to be going satisfy my curiosity let me go to ESPN NFL reporter Sarah Palin Tony on the show pencil phones on what's out southbound wow okay that's great to talk to you how you doing I'm good man can you help me help understand what's going on Philadelphia like it just south feels like it's coming from every angle every other week mandates this week is Orlando scanner and he's saying that there's a Superbowl hang over guys think is still the Super Bowl era he goes in on Malcolm Jenkins in particular what's going on in that locker room well I think it's hard to criticize Malcolm Jenkins you know Malcolm Jenkins it has been a true leader of this football team and he has owned up to every mistake that he has made the use of cookies stored up guy so I don't know where this is coming from tell you the truth you know it was Malcolm Jenkins who held the team together when Carson Wentz went down in Los Angeles in the Superbowl here so it's Malcolm Jenkins who stood for the team gotten together during the entire national anthem crisis that was going to the NFL eagles did not have a problem because of Malcolm Jenkins I I had met hundreds and hundreds of NFL players in my long career at ESPN and there is no more stand up guy to Malcolm Jenkins so I'm I'm flabbergasted by that but that criticism and he owned up to his mistake that he made in in in the Vikings game right frankly I'm shocked by that we'll bigger than Malcolm Jenkins and so it's not just a G. converses stand Rick **** for tat or whose word do you take why is it sal works be let's be real clear I I take Malcolm's you know I got I got you and I'm saying to the listener whoever you know by the way I agree with you I am out in jeans stand standard by the way has not heard that reputation from team to team so if you're basing this information on past reputation Malcolm Jenkins absolutely deserves the benefit of the doubt absolutely believe past reputation and current actions so you know if you're asking me how did the evil situation devolved into the current crisis and I will use the word crisis because you lose to all the world like this the two teams like the Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys you're in you're in a mall where you have to stop the bleeding you know you had three games on the road and you lost the first two now you're playing a very tough well hello gene Hey I know that buffalo team pretty well because I know shaman Thurman a bad some pieces hi in the last couple years that I think I've made them top on desensitize cell shows that they are ferocious tackling team they're an alignment of Simon football team Sean McDermott learn from the late great Jim Johnson that that defenses buttoned up in the eagle's will have their hands full in that football game and I have to go up there the weather is supposed to be crappy and Josh Allen knows how to use his legs on third down you get third down conversions when he gets into trouble you don't have your best sideline to sideline tackling machine Nigel Braddock he's out with an ankle injury yes this is a game where we're gonna find out a whole lot about this eagles football team in the year two thousand nineteen and well you know there's been a lot of talk of comparison let's make historical comparisons to the Super Bowl here well last year when he got waxed by the states you can't really do that they're not comparable situations this is a game where the quarterback has to stop stop turning the ball over this is the game where the head coach has to be creative ostensibly so that he purchased team in a better position to get some explosive plays which they have lacked and this is a game with the defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz has to do is level best to get this young quarterback off the field on third down snap that to me is the game Hey well yeah I don't care if you're the Packers of the sixties or the Steelers of the seventies or the cowboys of the nineties you turn it over seven times on the road in two games you're gonna lose before well I don't care who you are yes absolutely and when I say talk to Sarah Palin Tonio here on the wheel came chill when I say eight south let's not just make this a Malcolm Jenkins Orlando standard thing what I'm talking about yeah I think you used the word appropriately the crisis that seems to surround the eagles right now what I'm talking about seems like an issue that is deeper than any two individuals any any two losses or three losses it seems like an issue where we keep hearing sal about locker room problems in Philadelphia now are they real or they fake is Carson part of it or not part of it what I'm getting and what I'm wondering cells is just so much and so often that I got a rooster wondering what's going on with this team yeah yup what's real as you turn the ball over seven times on the road in two weeks wait what's fake all the all the presumed lockerroom strife I don't think there's walk will straighten that football team I don't I think guys may be talking out of turn here and there but I don't think there's a lack of confidence in Carson once I don't I don't think there's a locket dot our confidence in Doug Peterson I just don't I think that they've had serious injuries and they've had some problems catching the football and it had problems turning over the football and that's why you get waxed in Minnesota and get waxed in Dallas that's to me it is a professional football players and you know this much look at specifically Carson Wentz yes well you had me on the show when the story came out was that I told your whole that whole thing about him being selfish was process yeah this story was that he there was there was wide divide in the locker room and people not another story was he was called a selfish choir yeah yeah that was a divider locker room that he was a selfish player and I don't see that and his teammates don't see that so I I frankly was shocked by that in store so in a this guy's name no he's not Nick Foles remember I said that to you you will also want people want Nicole's to walk through the door Nicole's is sort of more laid back right mix dog would always say to me we would hand Nicole's the game plan and he would say okay let's go where is Carson wants to be involved Marcin is a little bit more strident in his approach is different personality is that extend during the game cell by the way you know the one of the statue came out and granny when you're down twenty one points or whatever was he's the cowboys you try to extend the place but he held the ball for so long to exact some of those fumbles we're on holding the ball look over three seconds so it is it also executing the game plan after it's been decided upon together no definitely a function of desks wide receivers and tight ends are not open what about the Shawn Jackson what happened I don't know if you went back and looked at any of the film other options to place but I certainly did in preparation for the batch of show which by the way we have we have a great break down of the eagles offense and the eagles defense and the bills in the whole first segment of the shows on bills eagles Greg Cosell Annapolis tomorrow and on Sunday so people should check it out shameless plug on the shore comment on the talks will now which you now be on together on Sunday babies can't wait but you know what now Patricia did one Detroit came into fairly busy double teams Akers and took him away and we all know the number showing the film shows it that Jack says been cool one Carson once a security blanket and to wide receiver at tight end of last resort so you take away urge you to hold the ball right awesome Jeffrey not open house Nelsen Adelard you know for lack of a better term not trustworthy drop too many balls have been targeted as much so I'm up against my commercial break and I'm not debating you I'm clarifying out of curiosity truly in your your belief Sally is that all this stuff about locking the Carson Wentz is fake stories and or disgruntled few disgruntled individuals de right yeah yeah I think I think you know I think it's this this team will get confidence back and a lot of the ills will be cured if they stopped hurting the football over on the road catch the football the road and and get some players healthy no I don't I don't really buy that there is a quote unquote divided a locker room but that there is a systemic problem in the Catholic ball team I don't buy it you're losing games because our turn the football I got okay southpaws o'neill he's he has been at the reporters a host of in a cell match up he's gonna be at eagles bills he's got are you in the office he football now on Sunday with me Hey baby are going to be leaving the show okay a block fantasy football now ten to one eastern thanks al always appreciate all right the cowboys and patriots pulled off a trade get this from Michael Bennett who won and who lost Nexen will.

Which college produces the best NFL talent?

"A special edition of N._F._l.. Live on deck today at the N._F._l.. Celebrates one hundred season just six weeks away however we are just five weeks away in college. Football Opens It one hundred fiftieth the anniversary so today welcome N._F._l.. You were combining the two worlds to answer age-old question what college produces the best n._F._l.. Talent however I'm Wendy net sand Hutus here you know what's better to be on this panel our expert notice icy expert telling me when Lewis Minute of her panter on the list not on the House for back the quarterback guru he and his brother in a lot of N._F._l.. Games James A lot and Ryan Clark. You see the L. L._S._U.. They are ills college football. L. Is Jonathan Vilma bike. He will join US shortly. He happened to win a National Championship and Oh by the way a super bowl as well coming up on N._F._l.. Live will break down position by position which college produces the best quarterback Oklahoma has the number one overall pick the last two years we have the top ten plays all the N._F._l.. Superstars when they were in college and answering big question which school produces the best all time N._F._l.. Talent we had to ask the players themselves to kick things off. We're the first pick quarterback Oklahoma Viva say Oklahoma Alabama Clemson because proven it is one atop factory the Ohio state highest in Alabama. 'cause I never lost beat out. You really can't understand it into your inside. Sadness programming is all about the you for N._F._l.. Because of Georgia in every aspect but I think L._S._U.. CRESA environment of gray competition and guys is trying to feed off of IT University of Pittsburgh. You Got Dorset. Dan Marina you got Larry. Fitzgerald was not a me show. It's about having everybody involved in working for the Sandal clumps in would cushman he's been doing. He's making people believe everything is possible for House is the best our stop it. Stop stuff well. Let's start shall we with the most players from each college currently in the N._F._l.. Alabama leads the way with V with sixty five players players followed by Ohio state in second place with fifty eight so we're going to debate these schools I in terms of who is best at producing N._F._l.. Challenge here's a tale of the tape on Alabama at Ohio state success since the two thousand draft folks tools I have had thirty one first round picks the most of any school while the Buckeyes have thirteen more total picks in the last twenty drafts but Bama's players have been slightly more successful in the league producing three more pro bowlers than Ohio St Louis Rick. Let's start with with the crimson tide. They're starting eleven if you will offense and defense current N._F._l.. Talent there's any question that these are both very impressive lineups that if Alabama can roll these teams out there right now now. I think they'd win a few games without a doubt. If you look at the offense aside outside of the ball the first thing that jumps out of these starting eleven are the two wide receivers look Julio. Jones is one of the finest athletes in the N._F._l.. For guardless of position he's in the news right now because he's about to get a new contract extension and he's really one of the he's one of the transcendent players at the position that this game the scene Amari Cooper the same way. When Amari came out of college? I remember doing his tape in thinking point honestly as far as catching one pet and run wide receiver. I hadn't seen one as good as him as him. In a long long time on the defensive side look they have fine players throughout the eleven here really that when you get to the secondary and you guys like Eddie Jackson Landon Collins I mean these guys are disband tastic players on the front dont`a hightower our multiple time superbowl winner. These are great great players right here. Make our way to Columbus shower of the to Ohio state you go to the offense side of the football. Look the first thing that jumps out without a doubt as Ezekiel Elliott because if he's not the best running back in the N._F._l.. He would be considered a top three running back in the N._F._l.. Wide Receiver Michael Thomas Really someone who was unheralded coming out of college. He's a tremendous tremendous. Pro will probably be the highest paid wide receiver in the N._F._l.. In short time then move over to the defensive side of the ball this this is where really this football team really kind of jumps off the board starting up Front Joey Bosa Cam Hayward those are two of the best defense alignment in the N._F._l.. Right now and then when you look down there at the Secondary Malcolm Dyson Dinkins Denzel Ward Marshon Lattimore doesn't let's get much better than that. All right Jonathan Vilma made his way again surly qualified to weigh in on this discussion. Look I mean there's a shortage of talent with either of these squads. It's almost ridiculous factory and a lot of ways both of these institutions but let the debate again a Ryan Clark. You can't pick L._S._U.. Just yet but when you look at this group what stands out L._S._U.'s better than both of these things we're gonNA get to that. We're supposed to be talking outlets. Let's be honest. There's amazing players. Neither one of them have a quarterback right before proven yet though little I mean why don't we always have to see something first before we can get you well Ray Richardson running back right you saw God compare that with you why time gentlemen we're GonNa play Nice Got Ninety minutes ago. You're the Glenn Difference from every other position that we're looking at okay fair enough now back to you Louis. It is a production results oriented industry. Is it not so it is fair to say seeing something. Does one believe they'll be success won't sure but I mean we're we'll see this is kind of like a combination of what they have done in college. What some of these guys have done in the pros in some of it's a little bit of projecting about what they're gonNA continue to do in the pros? That's how I'm going to expand it to that all right so at quarterback quarterback Dwayne Haskins I believe right now. There's no comparison as far as I don't care what A._J.. McCarron did it Alabama cows tape. Those Wayne has close exact Haskins is going to be a fine football player. What's going to happen to him? Really is going to be more predicated on what Washington redskins overall due to him then what he does to himself. I firmly believe that as far as these rousers overall look the wide receiver position Julio Jones Amari Cooper. Julio Jones's the standard if you go and look N._F._l.. For an offices and look in their scouting books books every team has a standard at every position that they put for scouts the suit for as far as whenever when their scouting people polio is going to be on that list for for many many teams he's about as good as it gets so skill positions at Alabama are awesome. The defensive players at Ohio State is what stands out for me as far as their front seven is concerned particularly their defensive line and their secondary Denzel Award Marshon Lattimore. You tell me a team that wouldn't take those two young men right now and startled. Let me ask you a specific question since you spend some time as an analyst watching these players at the collegiate level if you had to choose either of this group Alabama Ohio state who's players really got better or who took a bigger step forward than you anticipated when they got to the N._F._l.. Out To you to dance your last part no neither standout. They're pretty equal because watching these guys watching Jonathan Allen he played okay well Dante. I'll tell you knew who is going to be tremendous player defensive player C._J.. Moseley's same thing and then you go to the other side and you look at Joey Bosa Nick Bosa Darren like Malcolm Jenkins. I play with Malcolm Jenkins in in New Orleans knew he was going to be a study. He's Philistine but what is surprising how fast or House they defense is. I did not realize how fast defensive you think big ten you didn't big Brawley guys not so fast but these guys can move joey. Bosa also can move nick volks in Darren League. We know the Burner Malcolm J. Denzel War March. I mean that is a very very talented athletic fast fast defense. I thought I was going to jump in your rookie. I think that's a great question Wendy about as far as what teams teams have players that have gotten better pros. You look at Ohio state this look at their offense. In particular Michael. Thomas was a good wide receiver to hire Stayton. He's fantastic now. He's GonNa be highest paid wide receiver in the N._F._l.. Andrew Norwell most people wouldn't even know Andrew Norwell well what from Andrew Doorbell he right now just judge Moore Norwell can't open open some N._F._l.. Spectacular and even on the defensive side of the ball. I didn't think Marshon lattimore. I've liked Marshon Lattimore at Ohio state. I didn't love Marcet. He has taken his game to another level as well in the really own Alabama side you know how I feel about Alabama I feel nick and what he does and how he builds his program but really focus on their offense align that was just look okay and think about that question. Wendy Wendy asked how many players have gotten better how many have continued to improve Andre Smith may have his best days at Alabama. Dame's carpenter has really been good pro Brian Kelly the jury still out he could be a he's a good player. He's GonNa play already in Indianapolis D._J.. fluker was he ever ever really that guy that dominant guy no. He hasn't been Cam Robinson. Have you seen story so it's interesting because they're preventing people have been many people who've hit Alabama and said they get the best out of their players at Alabama. Maybe it's good discussion legal where people go by what teams there drafted so we look at Michael Thomas he falls into a place where he needs an accurate passer and he's one of the most accurate passers all the time also about the place you land in ashore and how they develop you ask Josh Rosen he absolutely he knows that all too well. I ten Hasselbeck. The whole point of this is to pick one of our producers here a little bit we talked. I'm going Alabama mainly change quarterbacks. Yeah I think looks great point about the offensive line at Alabama because so many of them when you look at them just in terms of body type you're like Oh my God look at those guys body type wise but like I don't know that some of those guys have come in and be like Oh and they got a whole lot better. We're obviously splitting hairs here on this ongoing Alabama Lewis Sorry Nick. Oh from a hustle change your mind or did you stick the way said one because I don't care if between Haskins hasn't played. I think he's I think he's in the saints. Stratosphere is A._J.. McCarron so I like that I liked it their offense of line one of the things that talked about how they develop those guys on the defense aside but they're fun four plus their secondary this going with them Ryan Clark you have to pick one while I was brought here for one reason in one reason only when the Knicks because everyone knew it my answers it would be and what Tim Hasselbeck has proven is. You don't need a quarterback. That's really he's GonNa be Ohio state in Alabama that don't have quarterbacks guess what we don't need a quarterback back and by the way you don't want our first off was good enough for Bill Belichick your boy to draft him as Tom Brady's heir-apparent draft. We thought they they went to L._S._U.. Because this guy has what they decided to we throwing the ball all around the field Andrew Whitworth he's played a thousand years. There's a Guy Jerry go look at the Neil hundred may has like negative two percent body fat Michael Broncos out. There aren't key. We gotta wait on them but it's are are you at the back of position. That's all we got mad. I gotTa get here all even have to work conviction when you spoke scissors. I'm sorry I just so tim. I love your twenty. Two question your toughness Whoa West I've seen because as you know what fair enough he's at Alabama alum landon dare you wait into the circus that we've created. But what do you have to say about this. Whole debate ain't Ryan got some good good good stuff going on say? I wouldn't question his toughness at all. I don't know why you questioned Ryan toughness. I saw him not got a lot of Alabama's always number one no matter Corolla tyrod. Let me ask you a serious question. You know obviously nick. Sabin is a hall of Famer one of the best ever coach this game but specifically what does he do that has allowed such historic success at the university. Steve Alabama <hes> as a coach he speaks for as a coach. He represents his players as players coach. I would say he makes all this coach. All the players are on the him as a player as a father <hes> <hes> and as a as many tried to teach us they'd be a man and a great play all at one time you know so he does it all leading. Can you please tell the people why you are now better that you have trusted your career training with the guy from L._S._U.. Hey right you agreed trying to grow been gone on gone for years

"They have the versatility with Malcolm Jenkins that makes a lot of sense to me, and the flowers thing, I just can't believe that they thought they needed to pay him four million dollars for what I guess he'll be the swing tackle now that they lost tie and Seki, and that makes sense, but they're going to suppose you move them the guard I can name a number of situations when I was with the Redskins. Rod jones. Oh to Todd. Wait. Oh, seven we're moving guy that from tackle into guard didn't really work out all that. Well. Two other notes. Hello de NADA. Retires after thirteen years in the NFL from high atop mount Kilimanjaro, and then Robert Kraft getting an offer getting offered a unique deal in his solicitation of prostitution case down in Florida. So supposedly, I just saw a headline. Right. Well, we started recording. That said this is a non starter for craft which means this was kind of the opening salvo of negotiations by the Florida prosecutor and craft and or is eight his lawyer thinking that you know, what we can we can do better than that. So I don't know what the video is that they have on him. But it's not enough for him to admit that if they did prosecute him. He would be convicted. So he wouldn't actually be convicted. I don't know if this is a common thing or not he wouldn't actually be convicted. They would just totally dropped the case as long as he publicly admitted that if they went through with the case. He would be convicted that is really really. I didn't even know probably did you know that they did stuff like that. I did not until this morning when I saw it on the news, and they they interviewed the I guess the attorneys state's attorney who said that is common practice in cases. Like this. Wow. I don't I don't really understand. Why I guess they just want the public shaming even though they're not going to convict the guy, by the way, this comment about Robert Kraft and the prostitution solicitation is presented by Roman..

"An have whoever the deeper runner is run a little let's twelve yard out route zone ends up being the same concept of a deep player in short player option around. So that was last year what they've done this year's kind of flipped it. And they wanna put Michael Thomas in the slot. He's cut so many balls on that slot option route they get Kamera to run the corner off. He hasn't caught a lot of balls. But if we're talking about the eagles one of the ones he did catch was on Malcolm Jenkins that run up the score touchdown in the fourth quarter was if I'm not mistaken on that on that concept when you just ran down the field. Mike Jenkins can keep up with him. And they put him over his head from Tuchel may had him doubled on that. Which was so frustrating. This is a I'm sure you've talked about this on your other podcasts on on your on your Twitter. But this was the the kind of game plan from hell from Jim Schwartz that really just didn't work. I mean that was all I know they had some new Cornerbacks defensive backs on the field a lot better sister. So he didn't trust them at all. But it was just the what a horrid game plans from shorts. Do you have any tip-offs of this saints like formation Lee, maybe their personnel tendencies that the eagles might discover when going through the tape for instance, shotgun empty or when they go heavy and condensed condense their wide receiver alignments anything like that. While I'm a big fan of what they do when they go empty. The problem is presenting such good quarterback. It's hard to a you know, what they're gonna do. Exactly what they're gonna do when they go empty. They're gonna go backside slot option. Frontside stick concept. But the problem breezes so good at you know, when you have these two concepts paired with each other frontside stick backside sought option with a quarterback is gonna do is read the open of the Mike linebacker, so wherever he goes the quarterback wants to work the opposite side because the Mike will will add numbers drawn sides. He won't away from that. And they've been running this for years teams. No, they're going to do when they go empty, but it's tough to stop because first of all when Reza works. Stick side, usually pinpoint with his reading the flat defender throwing stick route away from the flat defender, and then when he goes back to the slide option side she so good at getting a ball out. The problem with flood option is that it's always gonna take a split second longer for the quarterback to figure out where his receivers going. Whether it's inside or. Outside or even just curling up. But breezes so good he he he's kind of condensed that that metal processing down so much that he gets off. So quick no matter where the receiver ends of going, right? So it's it's really tough. The saw taste some hill. Useless snaps that are wrongfully eating into the snaps of a hall of fame quarterback or a tendency breaker that makes life miserable for defensive coordinators or a little of column. And a little column be probably a little bit of column. Little b but nobody wants to hear that on the radio. So we on the video. So I'm gonna say a uselessly eating into the snaps of a often quarterback. Mike theory's always been saying if quarterback is your best player on the field. Don't take the ball out of his hand. I get it. I just think Sean Payton is finally having some fun because doing the same thing, you know, the past concepts of change the protections of change and stuff like that. But you know, it's. Gets creating job back passes. But he's like man have this wildcat quarterback induce with. But it under his it's been insure yardage, Idaho problem with it. Right. Anything else? It's it's I think it's always the time. Yeah. I like the read option stuff, and then they threw in the pop pass in there against Cincinnati. The when I found really interesting was the screen pass through the taste some hill against the giants. That was hilarious. So they do a lot of Tennessee breaking stuff that that's fun. Seth last question for you. Actually, will I got one more question after this. But this is the last saints eagles related question. Do you have a prediction for the game yet? Have you grinded the film into a fine powder?.

"Whereas watching that in Europe. Stay off about. So that it is a bad call in every conceivable way, however, the game when I have so many twists and turns kind of hard to blame it all on that because we're going to go to the fourth quarter, and it had been a defensive struggle. We're tied at nine and then the defense is stopped playing and here comes Amari Cooper in the back of the endzone, Dan. Offense index so comfortable throwing him the ball downfield. Cowboys sixteen lied under four minutes to play second goal at the three. It's wentz. It's Dallas Goddard. He's got Cowboys tie at sixteen with the eagles. He we got when suing possession. I almost lost my place. But now I'm back that Prescott. He's got seventy five yards, Dan. And they're not going to get listen. You get alert Cooper

Some NFL players raise fists, kneel and stay off field during anthem

"Well there's a headline NFL preseason, sees kneeling race. Vistory national anthem there. Goes, my theory yeah And might now I will say this maybe the NFL players association, did because the vast, majority, of, players I mean if, you look at the number of players or, their twelve games. Last night you're talking. About How. Many players seventy five to eighty right now on on, most of. The teams on the sidelines because they don't cut down to the was fifty three for another month so you've got roughly. Seventy five to. Eighty so you're talking. About a thousand roughly a thousand players nine hundred maybe, there, were out on on the field, last night and. You had to that we know Neil and one razor fist so, you had so I don't know maybe the NFL players association did pressure them and said look you've got a contract coming up but you did you did have Kenny stills and Albert. Wilson of, the Miami Dolphins they knelt during the star spangled banner at other game with, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Robert Quinn defensive end for the. Dolphins races fist. Philadelphia Eagles Malcolm Jenkins. Who plays safety and devante boss be a cornerback also, raise, her fists prior to a game, against the Pittsburgh. Steelers according to the Philadelphia Inquirer by the way we knew this, is going to happen we knew there would be publicized and it was immediately And here's my here's my favorite defensive end Michael Bennett remember he's the one he's the one. That was the catalyst for the second year of kneeling and he. Was a catalyst because he was screaming and whining and complaining that he was a victim and that the police profiled him in an unwarranted way in Las. Vegas until the Las Vegas police came out with the. Video to show the Michael Bennett, was simply a liar Says. Defense Michael Bennett walked out of the tunnel is anthem played, and spent the, anthem walking towards the bench the news. Outlet reported teammate Chris. Long reportedly placed his arm around Jenkin shoulder during the song to console. Them and you know basically say look it's okay to lie about police yeah all right I made that one so to be anti-american few you can feel comfortable now the NFL released a statement on the preseason protests so they didn't release a statement and their statement basically is No, this is still policy. We're just not going to enforce and no one's going. To be punished for the NFL has been engaged in constructing Oh my God they just they they just can't find a way out of this the NFL has been. Engaged in constructive discussions, with the NFL players association regarding the anthem and issues of equality and social Justice that are of concern to many Americans while those discussions continue the NFL has. Agreed to delay implementing or enforcing any club work rules that could result in players being disciplined for their conduct during the performance of the anthem the statement went on to say that the league's national anthem policy still remains unchanged and it will be continued to be played before each game and all players and team staff. On. The, field are expected to. Stand for the flag and the anthem and those who choose not to stand must remain in the locker room okay Except for the fact that they don't have to remain in the locker rooms there is no must because nothing is.

"Open this door to a few weeks ago at their meanings when they all window and thought this was really an issue anymore i think that if you go back to the end of last season it felt like they were pointed in the direction where there would be a better relationship in the off season they would address this issue and by the end of the regular season i don't think there was a whole lot of chatter about this then the the league decides even after making strides with the players to work together on different initiatives then the owners decide that they're going to put into effect a rule that to me did not it seem tone deaf and i think to a lot of people seem tone deaf as well right now when you look at the philadelphia eagles i will say this i don't believe any of their players ever at any time last year and if you look at malcolm jenkins and chris long and others they're about as active in the community addressing a lot of these issues is anybody silly lebron james says a winner the nba finals wouldn't accept the white house invite either i know no matter who wins the series no one wants to invite any way it won't be cleveland or golden state's going james said the warrior steph curry and kevin durant said they agreed with let the brawn james had to set lebron he has to worry about it i just want them to win one game so i can take twenty five dollars from chesty chest i want i want them to win tomorrow you want more i want more drama i wanted to be two one with a chance to go back to if.
