These like Hey, man, Come over, meet me and he dropped the news on me and this was right after I lost one of my baseball player buddies to stomach cancer. Who was forty? Miles close to my age, and he left three little boys behind ages six to seventeen, so it was like Holy Shit. You know like my grandma died of brain cancer. My aunt died of skin cancer My brother had some skin cancer. Another family member had cancer and then, but now it's like well. My Age actually died of it so Kalima. Who passed away? We did a fundraiser form and all this stuff and this first boys, and and it was. It was horrible, and you have all these big tough men on this baseball team. Now we're at the funeral. Bonner faces off and it was. You know terrible. In the why of terrible right so now my new other buddy, Charles aged forty three now he's got this newly diagnosed cancer deal, and there's no cure, so he's like based on Western medicine. They were just going to wait until they hopefully find a cure. Del, then you do experimental treatments, and if it gets bad chemo, NOCCO back on. It comes back the second time. It comes back with a vengeance. Toast. So. He's like wow. Out kind of diagnose, that was his path. That's the Western medicine. People said it's like. Yeah! We'll wait and see got. Is Experiments for you? Pretty much, Malaka back with Chemo, and so he's like screw this. We went to these some of these meetings. These meetings for this chronic lymphocytic, the leukemia pronounce a damn thing when I first heard like what and then all these people in this room looked white and pasty, and all they did was Moan and complain about twelve medications on fourteen. Well I'm on forty medications. I want fifty nine. They just talked about their problems. And then I called it the revolving door a death because they just keep dying in new people came in. There was no solution right. Right right? What do I know about cancer I mean there's race for the cure, and you know all these billions of dollars being spent I. Don't Know Jack About health or anything back. Then I thought I did because I was napping I. thought it was lots. You know chicken and meat for protein. "He never looked settled. He always looked. A little bit irritable and It's interesting hearing settling. Say in your interview there Matt the. After that I that which he won very convincingly, he he got to end up I. Thought we'll have one. That's and I can still play a lot better because that was my impression just now watching it. He didn't play that great. In the first set it was there were moments where it was great but it. It was really patchy, really really patchy so mentally to think of just beaten. The footer of just want set against the four time defending champion, and I'm not even really playing my best I was expecting to watch this match NC settling just redlining and basically being in a Purple Patch for the whole match, but it it wasn't like that he had ebbs and flows, but he was never really not in control. And I think the point that he said at the start of that interview was that. He felt more comfortable in his game in two thousand nine, not because he was playing his best necessarily, but because he was getting through matches where he wasn't at his best, and that is, that is so much of what tennis is about. You rarely play your best game. To win normally, it's about finding a way to win when you're not at your best and I. Think Settling really improve that adamant of his game in this in this tournament of the rest of his career. That's what I unfortunately. I can't attribute this quite because I genuinely completely forgotten. He said it may be David can remember, but practicing isn't about improving your best game. Practicing is about improving your average game. I. Can't the Tributes Twenty Buddy but? I think. Maybe it was allure original. You're right. Well settling went on. To beat Nikola, Davydenko, six, one, six, three, six, one, which is very very impressive scoreline to back up a win like that. Then he edged his way past Fernando Gonzalez in a fifth set, and faced Roger Federer in the final, the whole world, waiting to see federal could finally take advantage of somebody removing refund the Dow from his path, and that's the money would face in the final, not federal trying for the career slam to complete. Complete the set. So what does settling remember about that? How does the experience compare? It was different story on. That was my first grand. Slam final something that I have been dreaming about since basis started playing tennis and to play against Roger Who's show, or who is so while so experienced already back then you know. He plays so many Grand Slam finals. He had so many titles already, so mentally may be our soon really. Really prepared. For that. But I didn't think much about who was playing. You know it was Roger had the chance to to to find a win the French. Open, you said the Tida or break or tied the record against the. Against Empress. but it was. It was difficult was to find. And mentally, especially in the first set that was not the took a while for me to kind of get into the match. and. What made Federa so good that day so tough to play against? I mean to me. Rogers has always been the toughest opponent. I'm not saying that's. Necessarily better than than Darah son Novak. At to me was more difficult to play against him because he was able to mix up his game. You know so much. He makes you uncomfortable on court. Playing Malaka Raft, even though a even though I lost, you could still go off the court and feel that I played well. You know it was a good match. He was just Baird Me Day, but against Roger. Of all the times they played against him. There's just a couple of times or few two three four. Maybe four times I felt that. I played well. It was always so difficult to play well against him and I realized you know in the beginning. I was like I, I. Know I need to play well to have a chance to beat Roger. but I just never couldn't do it, so I was frustrated about that, but then after a while areas that. Is His style. He makes you uncomfortable on core in makes you. Knocked that's one always strange strengths. Actually you know. He makes you and not play your best tennis. Do, you ever think that S-. Federal maybe wouldn't have a French Open if you hadn't they in the dull that day. Do you ever think about the way your victory Ivan? An adult really altered the course of tennis, history and that way? while he only won it once you know the way he played that year, he could. Of course he could have been. He could beat rustling the final. But. I think that. Roger both no in they will or slams, and I think Roger is at least equally as good as too so I. Think you know this serves to have won. All four Grand Slam is just a shame that his only win. was against me. Yes. He did make him play badly relatively speaking, didn't they? Because he was throwing DRP shirts in every other shot, giving him all sorts of different angles, and you could see selling almost lawn and to shout. Give you normal shot, so I can hit. The living daylights out of. Ronald as ones that have run after up to the net. It was funny to watch my memory of that time. Is that going into round on gals? Everyone was talking about how fedor developed a dropped shot on class. Especially, if forehand drop show, and the and the story was that it was to try and beaten Adul- and then. We didn't have to play door, and it turned out to be the perfect weapon to beat. The guy did have to beat. And I think I think we should say that. Circling beaten doll on the Mondays we've as we've set around on garrison federal than the next day goes to set down to Tommy Haas and this fall in the third thirty forty down and break point down, and if he if he'd lost that point house would have served to not federal in straight-sets and federal comes up with. With a forehand winner on the line, and that was a crucial moment in this tournament as well and I think he had he was on the ropes against pop tro in in the semis as well and then, but by the time he got to the final. kind of felt like heeds. Done the really hard work, and there's just this overwhelming sense of occasion about it and I just I just think federal handled. It better came out of the blocks so fast in that final, and didn't allow serving any time to set or whatever. Breaking the in his opening service named knee is is robin settling the only person in the world? He thinks that we're the federal could've one that French Open had settling, not taking adult forum. That year is an interesting one, isn't it because? Let's say the Dow's maybe not playing as well not yet and federal is playing well, I mean it will never no way, but that's the only outstanding question. I mean the the evidence. Is there for all to see every other year? The Dow just? Being too good for more somebody else has been too good from federal. Nidal's beating the loss, but that particular year.

Don't get enough credit. I mean, the special teams this just a good football too. And they got dip. What do you make a colts? And chiefs is interesting because I said this the NFC historically had bigger cities, Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta, Dallas Chicago, there's a couple of Green Bay's, actually if you take out like Houston and Boston the AFC smaller cities. They don't have the money. They're increasingly dysfunctional the Jags Cleveland Cincinnati Oakland. My. Cami. I mean, I think he's gonna be a great quarterback the the defenses were football team. But just him as a football player and against Andrew luck. Oh, I think we're gonna see this for many to shoot out. I think it's a shootout who do you take in this game? I don't have a ton of confidence. I my my belief is is that Andy Reid, historically. You know, everybody says anti can't win the big game. He won a lot of playoff games in Philadelphia. And he was always good in the first round. When you give Andy a buy in that first round of the playoffs and you put him at home. He wasn't losing those games in Philadelphia, Eric I think they're going to win this game..

When his last game is I mean, we can figure it out because we've seen the schedule, but he doesn't want that out there. But he was really touched by it. It meant a lot him. He doesn't like attention. This is someone who would still love to call games. But it meant a lot to him that oughta we did that. And I'll tell you something too. I did a series with him. I can't remember what it was playing. But Bob was taking some criticism up there. And there was a sign in the crowd about Bob that was really negative. I can. Remember, what it said by knew it was bad, and they put it on their Jumbotron, and you know, the jumbotrons and I level in the press box. So he saw it. And he was really upset. He was really hurt. And I know the producer went after the Sanders and their credit, I believe ROY moloch while I remember ROY Malaka was the president that time, and he bent over backwards trying to make amends, but Bob was really hurt. And you know, Bob, he would never forget that. So I think for the senators to do what they did. It's great that would mean an awful lot to him making point to Sean FitzGerald, the athletic and the the twenty questions I did with him the one that was really good, by the way. Thanks, man. Was it too much? No, okay. Curtis. Joseph was good. That was Miller circumstances to yours. The thing that I've always liked votes, regardless of Scott lake one of the most I Kana calls of all time as a warm voice when I watch hockey night in Canada, turn the volume down. It's in a lot of times. It's Bob Dole's voice or standing Galvin's voice of a look at sabres games. And turn the volume down is still Ted still. I will always have Bob voice in my head. But the one thing that I like about coal, and the one thing that I like about Don cherry, specifically is more of a comment on our industry than anything else is that which is we've allowed people to grow old in front of us. And what does happen and other sports? And it's a good thing happens with men, I hope Dade day. It happens with women as well. There were able to watch people age in front of us. Nothing wrong with putting a senior citizen on television..

"Regional department stores. Like in Texas, we had bells Palais, ROY, halladay, real. Belt and bilk jockeys jockeys became Dillard's. Khodorkovsky's became Dillard's. Yeah, I think so if I recall correctly. Yeah, I don't remember. Yeah, nobody has. I've heard of these, but it was. Yeah, I remember Palais Royal are saw one. The other day is really because they're still around, but that was a nationwide thing for it was just saying ballet Royal knows knows like that sounds like a clear Miller. Those e Royal palace means passage in the eagle, pass mall, have a bills. I don't know if it still does. Yes, it does. I was there not too long ago you play in the street. Honestly, I love it. You loved it, right? You said last week. Oh, good. Okay. You play a long time hours you you put it in. I think no, no, no. I'm probably about fifteen hours in k.. What is misuse me mercenary is the only means. Yeah. Do you look it up? No, I assume it means the mercenaries from context? Yeah. What miss? Oh, I'm going to say like hand like a sister, like some kind of not my toe SIS. What about my office? The district can't find it Malacca. That's I'm learning all these like Malaka means asshole idiot. But yeah, you talk moloch into Google it, converts it to whatever that font is terrific and says, asshole, can they get away with that? If you say a swear word in foreign language that doesn't count for ratings and stuff like that. I bet that I've seen racists right. Seems like it's borderline racist with no chart. If you know what was missed me, what did they say? Swearword another language. Yeah. Then it doesn't count against your like swear count for ratings and stuff like that. Well, I can see why it wouldn't count towards it because if it's being sold as an English game to ICU Americans swearwords dumb, right. Like now, if you're concerned about kids who fell language now you have a school yard full of kids in Malacca. There's still the the sentiment is. Yeah, I guess it's I put a Spanish word for us. So English. Replacement Spanish wins, then let's finish toy words using that wouldn't affect the rating. So Spanish kids should. I don't believe this, but there's you'd have to hear swear words. I don't think there's such thing as half to hear. Swearwords of the kids are hurt by swear words, but it it's weird to me. They can change the language and still get away with. Yeah, I just, I just think all kids should know. All swearwords. Yeah, that'd be said we're debating swear words and then like like, oh, that guy say swearword well, and then the meal, you stab the do the neck. We don't worry about that stuff when you do your assassinations. It's a lot of stabbing in Dixon butthole. I wanna get stabbed in the butthole Astra's while she plays like, oh my God, you just stabbed that guy into technically it rips less skin. By the way, I have found a complete area tenders already. Hold, airy does mean mercenary. It has came. Well, Gus, Gus, congratulations on your rightness the. The other thing too is that I found out like a Goto move in assassin's creed. Odyssey that's kind of broke the game for me. It works like a charm..
