"And one easy way to do. It is use the hosts. Eric and i use dream hosts so just go to dream house or google. It find it. Check it out and is a great way to improve your low time. Today we are going to talk about how you should structure your blog in twenty twenty one. So neil just some context. I was reading a sub stack pose from kevin lee who i think. He used to lead marketing at buffer. I believe and there's a really good post talking about how back in the day. Maybe in two thousand twelve or so just having a blog to manage all of your content was enough but now what we look at a company like hub spot. They have an entire resources section right so they have the blog. They're they have e books to have their courses. they have been methodology. It all kind of goes into one section inner calms another example their blog podcast books webinars academy there and so internally what were thinking about doing is restructuring everything that we have on our blog just to make it simpler rights. I think it's not just blog anymore. But it's in fact log class. Such swanton lead off with that. Yeah and we do a similar model. We'll have sections in our blog and web navigation items so we'll have a training section. We have a block. Section will enter it bao's within a block content as well as just post video based content. That is youtube embeds. That pops up in like you click it pops up in a light box and then you can watch a youtube video but yeah in essence. Will we try to do. Is we try to all our stuff in different tabs or sections. We still use wordpress but what we do. Is we create different sections within wordpress adleman. So then when you're logged into wordpress you'll see a video section you'll see opposed section. You'll see a section for different languages. You'll see a section just for training. That's how we organize everything in. Its worked out quite well for us. It just makes sense if you're putting all the time in effort into these other things such as webinars just recording the webinars and making them on demand and collecting leads from them afterwards. That's something that could be helpful. And for example. The podcast that we do here on neil's blog. He's got a podcast. He's got his youtube videos. Or actually i think you remove the podcast on the blog there as well right but again you're trying to be helpful at the end of the day. So there's no point in trying to hide things. So i think a lot of blogs ours including think we're trying to involve ours our little outdated so it's time to think about how you can make it blog plus anything else. Neil maitree test to eric's rate. I remove the podcast for my blog was actually the least clicked element from my blog. Pages not sure why we test highlighting we tested you know putting few in a row by it could just be. When people came to a blog they wanted to mainly read content or it could just be my audience. Even my videos. It was my second lease click area. The videos got more clicks than the audio by around three to four x. But the video. Still get way less clicks in the text based content all right so that is it for today. If you wanna hang out with. Neil i in person go to marketing school the i o slash live. That's lv please. UCL Shock-tar for Real Madrid

"Start, we don meltdown in Madrid thaw shocked shocked by we'd be so good and Writers. Joining us is Alex Kirkland Alex. Let's get right into it. What happened. I mean what happened was a disastrous five minutes of POCO from. Real. Madrid that I saw from them was one of the worst. I can remember to be honest it was a defensive horror show off against the shack talk team who let's not forget what may say six first choice players and a number of substitute says well, row without second reynolds the CAP team at it was just they fell off the conceding that I go they went completely to pieces gossamer spend back in the second off and pulled it back to three to lake your ruled out but that one make any once again just how bad they were in that I just bad. The. Made. Some big decisions with a view towards the classical at the weekend. He leaves out and he got lauded for leaving out crews and Ben's. Alex, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt a tiny bit because I say, Hey, it shocked are minus six. You're at home you're motivated because you had a stinker last week and against God and deserve to lose. Maybe this is a Good Game Benza and crows today off right. The problem is when Bensimon doesn't play the team, just don't function in attack a loop. Yovich again, last night he had one pray tame header on saw and that was the throughout the day and he was. As. Roma, chasing the comeback which tells you everything you need to know cross you could understand may be giving him a a great by the problem is with Raimondo ready missing can you really leave out these other subpoenas if the of the team nine know the Ramos isn't always a nice consistent defend that but you have to heat has been that he's got a slight meet problems. He wouldn't have let the game just get away from the way didn't stop and the this. I mean Rafael Veran. Dreadful and this is the session dreadful Champions League game in a row for him because let's not forget he was to blame but both goals they began. In the summer alongside etta mealy Tout Stewart looks nothing like being worth fifty million euros around with Chip Light Volume Marcello I love Marcelo it to be honest like. An ex player he kind of jumped the shark awhile ago. s the Monday was laid out. Position was appropriate. You want to go away with any any credit on the right hand side courtois, dot them out of trouble a couple times it wasn't just the tall maitree chances and took them. Three one on ones the coach manager save over the course of the nineteen minutes. So it could have been even worse I mean less season they lost. The game of the Champions League in Paris they had a really rocky start. This is didn't. On yeah, they came back. They weren't playing Schachter. Owner but let me finish this. Season so I don't think. A rocky a shaky start like this one is anything new for Sodano, for the club however I you Janis making mistakes I think the players only are not up to the task mentally physically and technically as a group not forget didn't sign anyone in the summer. A few of the players left Bahamas pressure is really under Alex because he's done of course and everything that he's achieved as a player and manager that club is huge but that's two defeats in a row obese two different competition, and then the classic the weekend will happen if they lose is three in a row. Or do you still think that still has enough credit in the bank to two last regardless of what happens on the weekend? Of course, he's calling credit in the bank. He's got more credit than anyone because what you've done by do you think he doesn't situation is somewhat unique because even though he's won two titles as a coach, even though you on those three genders lease in a row, there are still some nagging questions I think and legitimate questions about aspects of of the jump that he does and some people and least includes people at the club at Rome Madrid at the. Question exactly how good coaches to spy everything that he's not in terms of trophies one I don't think there's any risk of him being sacked in the short sample, but we'd see Dan would say is that you can never entirely ruled out the rescue him deciding to walk away if things aren't going well, and if he feels like he's not the right man for the joke is surprised when away lost time having just wonder champion slate a milk expect that to happen right now by. Signing the we can discount entirely. This is very different. Coach doesn't necessarily need you get. He doesn't need it in the same way that other coaches to. Feels like I say he's not the right map for the talk. If you will I I completely agree that he would walk like getting say like Oh goodness can go I mean. Again he said like tomorrow is GonNa be Sunny. Who who can come up with you feel I listen I would point out that when he walked away last time, it's because two of his superstars neither films there anymore both of through. Hissy, fits through toys out of the Pram after the game and he said I. Have enough of that.

"And here's what it means for us to to not settle for second best. Those those are some of the things that drive me as as we're like. How can we improve? The model structure is by which we don't just retain people so that we have a bigger mailing list or database. Our churches are larger but that we actually have a different kind of you know powerful movement To to change the to change the world. Yes and if you are pasta if you're an in church leadership in ministry leadership you're you're you're looking to lead need young people honestly please go do yourself a favor and get get David and marks book faith for exiles. I mean that in all seriousness. I will be sending this into a lot of people that I care about who are in ministry. Because it's really tangible. You know key practice number. One one is all about experiencing Jesus which shouldn't really come as as a huge Prize to any of us in practice number two gets into cultural discernment which is a fascinating discussion. Practice three is all to do with relationships. Nations ships the richness of meaningful intergenerational intergenerational relationships. And so I I guess that'd be my next question for you. Did the almost the simplicity or the obviousness of some of these things surprising to me. They seem like of course. These are what we should to be working on. They did and I actually think that's part of the reason. So I said this earlier part of the reason I couldn't write this book the very beginning of the journey. You know so Had this idea of working on a book of like how twentysomethings we're going to change the church and this is back in you know fifteen sixteen years ago and and What I started working on that I actually renamed portion that called faith that last one understand like what what makes faith prevail and And so that might Frank Gabe Lyons asked me to work on the book on Christian so that was like well. That's GonNa be about young people so sure on that book and it turned out to be a bestseller are in a really fun project to work on. But I knew a lot about the bad news. You know we've got a six chapters on on like it's like all of Christianity's worst worst behaviors and that's your breakout book right and and so that was number one and then you lost me was meant to be faith at last. That was the original original working title. But I felt like I couldn't write the book because it's harder to talk about things that work than it is the ways things break down and so you can't engineer fe and so how dare I try to study. What is underlying factors that make it work so we having five or so years later? I feel like we've come back to having studied this for more than a decade here are five themes in our research through more than decades worth of work and a super concentrate lookout over the last three years that that seemed hold together in the lives of the most resilient people and there might be six or your separate factors. We just didn't look at them but the simplicity of those things should we talked a lot with my co author Mark Matlock of about about the sort of reaction to the person could have to. The bug was like you know you guys had to spend three years as you know however many hundreds of thousands of dollars to research Jay and there is a sense in which these are pretty self evident. But I think the way we've described these five areas. There's these important twists tests and that it's much harder for example took to anchor on an identity of Jesus as much harder to develop these sorts of relationships inter-generation leads it's much harder to vocationally disciple someone into their career calling but there is a path to do it and I feel like there is one of the most helpful. It's one of the cool things about being an author is like putting and then hearing how people are responding to one person who who looked at last a couple of months said you know this is these are really a much harder practices than you give them like. I kind of look at the word when you got got got it. Dug into these are actually more complicated than that. You know like there's a whole a whole almost like an operating system upgrade like you go from you know a desktop computer to mobile or whatever whatever the metaphor might be and by the way. That's part of the premise of the digital Babylon on ideas. That were doing what I call dial ministry in a Wifi world so if we don't Rancor on this these fundamental core practices this is an do them in a different fundamentally you know lasting way. Then then we won't make a difference it will just be competing on a level of entertainment which which the church will always lose at So those are some you know some thoughts about the simplicity of these practices. Sometimes the live there are actual putting them into practice. Yeah but yeah exactly but you've contextualized them really well in each section and I think I think it will be really helpful for other Generations to read this an perhaps even understand. Oh this is the challenge. This is why it's so difficult for young people today. A Matt remember one of my mentors in the faith who's in his seventies now saying to a bunch of us one day you know what when I was your age looking at porn meant going to a store and buying a magazine and like outing yourself. Ah But he's like what what you're facing is like adding erode run. He's like yes. It's eternally true that we should not be objectified women that we should be reprogramming our minds with all this kind of stuff right we we know Oh porn bad but the unique challenge of it for my generation and my even my children is different than it was and so that as an example I think that's your contextual. Some textual as the struggle well within each each section. I know we're out of time here. David I wonder Would you be willing to pray for us as AH WE SEEK TO MAINTAIN OUR RESILIENCE as people in Ministry as we ask the hard questions of how we do the work. Yeah Yeah of course thank achiever asking me to close that way. Let's pray a Lord where we're coming to you with open hearts I thank you for For Jonathan for his heart serve leaders in those questions. And those who think they have answers at Laura we we We asked you to join us in in leaning into what it is you want your spirit to say to us Lord. There's a scrape reminder how we should respond to your voice Adverse Samuel where it says we should. We should respond. Speak Lauren or in your servant is listening and Lord Across listeners today wherever you may be commuting or in your home or listening At this one and a half speed whatever it may be we know. We know that people will be Hearing these words as prayer and so I'm asking each of us just to say in the way that might seem best to you Speak Lord Your Servants Listening and we ask You Lord as we say that that You join us. June encourage our hearts that you'd help to open up the places where we become cynical For me it's it's this vantage point of hundreds of thousands of interviews Over the course of many years Every every week new interviews abuse coming into new data Lord helping not become cynical as I see a How people think can see perceive the world especially by fellow Believers Christians? I really want to live into this truth that we talked about earlier that that I believe that people are doing the very best. They can each day But they are struggling with a lack of vision a what that might be and so asked you or for our listeners for for our company for For the churches we lead for the families that we are part of that you would give us the vision To to help live into this resilience that that you ask us and that would give the curves or to do the very best. We can To be driven by your spirit and to pursue these things that really matter In in time in overtime We ask you for that. Were were begging you Laura for those kinds of insights in our lives little like tips or tax but but daily reality of your presence in our lives to be to be led by us so we can lead others effectively alert. We love. I love you and we thank you for your presence in our lives in Jesus name Amen Amen Thank you David. I really like in that aspect of what he was sharing about. Modeling compelling vision of what it means to follow Jeez because on the one hand. I think we've had vision. Karan down our throats many of venture for a long time This is the New Vision but also when push comes to shove the actual modelling of character after what it means to be a follower of Jesus as in many cases terrible thankfully personally in my life. I've been impacted by so many wonderful characters which I which I would a tribute to. That's why I have faith my aunt but I think in the culture certainly in media certainly the kind of Christian political world the Z.. Character references that are available to us our trucks. So I I love David. Approach that if you're not in that resilient category if you're listening to this and you're like yeah that doesn't describe me that's okay if you've not been offered a compelling vision of what it means to follow Jesus that's on us not you but don't don't stay where you are keep searching out the truth keep hungering for more honestly and so thank you. David Maitree treat chick show notes you can go grab grab copy of David and Marcus Book Faith for exiles. It's an excellent really really enjoyed. You may have been following that story over the past week or so his post fight comments after the Jon Fitch fight and also on Tuesday, he came out and officially told us that he will not be retiring he will be fighting Neiman Gracie and that fight is going to take place June fourteenth. "Most. We're not gonna hit you with a couple of giants things Janke things. I'm the giants Pellegrin makes no sense to me. I know you're there, but the whole saquon thing is really confusing to me because you pass on Donald draft saquon, then you trade, and it's like we don't with a guy with a sorta life span. He'll take a couple of years, maybe a long time. But, you know, running back in the NFL last one three years is is that the lifespan or anything, and that's gonna happen. We'll have time for that. What's the point of fake one? I don't get it. You know, I wanted to draft on last year, then he went and got quantum and this year, you know, it just it just doesn't really make any sense to me. I totally agree with that. And it's no knock on saquon Barkley, Sean as a player love his talent of what he brought to the giants last year. I just don't value the idea of taking a running back to I don't not running back way. And to your point you look at who the giants ended up with with six pick and issues gap and you compare them to Sam don's prospect stuff to do. And when I look at my team the Miami Dolphins ending up with Josh Rosen. Who is a tough fifteen pick last year still believe he's better prospect, Daniel Jones. I would prefer the giants won't up on defense in the first round Maitree for Rosen with second round pick and golf from there. When we come back a lot more your calls Yankees. "Now here's Bill. The correction that we've seen twenty percent in our view is largely a function of toxic sentiment. But the underlying fundamentals are pretty good. What are you nuts? I love these guys. Now, one of these guys called the market that we're going to get a twenty percent correction not one I get on January sixteen now all of a sudden, they're experts they're experts now, they're experts and get back into the market. Everything is wonderful. You should everything's fine. The fundamentals are fine. Wait a minute. Things. Haven't changed the biggest threat to our economy. Our economy's growth. Most import our financial system is still out there. It's the huge debt now on the corporate get with their five. Remember, they have Nitra corporate get puts it another five trillion in junk bonds Eisold to raise capital to do to support their weak balance sheets, and those interest rates are going up on them. Some of those people go into bankruptcy, for God's sakes. I love it when they say this. So we we still have China. Their economy is is dying. That's gonna kill us. That's a big threat to us. We got the trade deficit, which is a huge threat because trade deficit caused the value of our dollar to shrink. Let's talk about that for a moment. So let's go back and think about it. When Trump got elected remember off right before the election. You kept saying this for the stock market that was fake. And if interest rates went up, it would come clap it would collapse. Right. So when he gets elected November two thousand sixteen what happens he starts? Raising rates is first rate hike went up in December. I'm sorry. Yeah. Has first rate hike when we're up in December of. I mean, March of two of two thousand seventeen because remember he got he was elected in November. But he didn't take office until January and they still raise the rates and two thousand sixteen December. So his first rate hike was on March fifteenth, and then he raised rates again in June. Well, why why would you be raising rates if you're saying if you raise racist a little bit the Marco collapsing down. Because here's what was going on. He had Larry cudlow explaining to him. That look we're you gotta face a mid-term election in twenty four months. We've got to win that house back. We got to convince we got to convince the investors out there. The voters out there to vote Republican. We gotta hold that house. So here's what we're going to do. We're going to create a fake narrative. We're going to lie to them. Remember, Mr President is long as the dollar is going up a strong dollar reflects a strong economy, repeat that Mr President a strong dollar reflects a strong economy. So what we're going to do is raise rates that pushes the dollar up and there's are fake narrative, and we'll tell everybody everything is fantastic. And of course, we got everybody on FOX. Got everybody on FOX in CNBC working for us. They'll tell everybody it's a rocket ship. There's a lot of real optimism out there, and it was reflecting in our stock market as well. Our economy is surging along. Yeah. Yeah. So so they got their guys all set up ready to go. So he let rates go up when he knew he shouldn't have. Because a strong Dallas associated with strong economy because of midterms Kudlow convinced them this was the right thing to do. But wait a minute while this false narrative. Was pushing up the interest rates. It was pushing up the dollar. But it this was way, man. This was a problem because wages weren't going up. Wages weren't going up. Matter of fact, payments on school, lunch and credit cards and your auto all going up, but they didn't care. They didn't care so March drifting Jack the rates up again, June fourteen Jackie rates up again. Wait a minute. I thought you said it would come crashing down. Now. Here comes December thirteenth two thousand six seven seventeen Kudlow says let's cut. Let's here's what we'll do. Let's cut taxes cut taxes for corporations, and we'll give another fault scenario. We'll tell them that that one point five trillion. There were cutting taxes not to worry about all that money is going to go into wages what these companies going to do that savings at one point five trillion. What's you're going to do is going to invest in new technology new equipment, new machinery, and you're going to increase productivity that's going to give you big wage increases. We're going to create all these judge. Of course, it was a lie. It never happen. Never happened. So here interest rates are going up, the false narratives looked up. That means you're doing great. Then they come in with the false narrative this tax cut. Now, the budget deficits going up the trade deficit is going up. And that kills you. 'cause the dollar goes down. That means the dollar you have in your wallet your purchasing power. When you go to the grocery store, you buy a lot less with that dollar. So they continue raising rates now, it's December thirteenth they signed two thousand seventeen they signed this tax cut, which was a terrible deal it caused our budget deficits to go up. And when you're budget deficits, go up, your enemies slows, but Kudlow mine was now look at what we can lie to him. And people believe this that this is all good. Elect will carry the will carry the house in the midterm elections. Midterm election comes right supposed to be November October third comes on the market starts to crash. That's when we started the short to market I had my membership to short the market. Why was the market starting to crash October three? Because of the debt, especially the corporate and China was failing the trade deficits were increasing and investors were nervous. Investors knew this was the biggest stretch where Konami and our economic growth. They started a big institutions pull their money out. But they kept telling, but they still have their cheerleaders on FOX and CNBC. There's a lot of real optimism out there, and it was reflecting while the markets collapsing. So they get instead of having like what I do with my members. I cheered my members around and make sure they were short. Oh, no. They could tell you five by everything's fantastic. Good main street suffering main street suffering now Maitree says. I think he tell me how this is a rocket ship. Everything's great. I don't feel it. I'm paying more for my automobile and pay for my church. My Healthcare's didn't they tell me I'm making the wages went up three percent. But wait a minute. My healthcare going up five percent. I don't feel it. What's going on? More when we get back. And why you want to join my gang become a member by the right stocks.
