"This is hidden brain. I'm shankar vadim. When nelson mandela became south africa's first black president in nineteen ninety four. He had big dreams for his bitterly divided country we enter into covenant that was billed society rain bonus at this and the world. He spent a lifetime fighting the racist apartheid regime including more than a quarter century in prison. He was a heroic figure already. By that time. But many white south africans. They saw him as a criminal terrorist. This is psychologist van. Able as president of the united south africa nelson mandela or madiba as he was known to his supporters needed to find a way for the people in his rainbow nation to see themselves as south africans. I other petitions might have turned to speeches and policies madiba turned to sports offside by he used the rugby world cup which was being hosted in south africa and dreamed apartheid-era south africa had been banned from competition and the south african team was known as the springboks and they were beloved by the white south africans and despised by the black population. But what mandela did was. He went out onto the podium. Not just as the president but as a fan he had the green springboks passengers and he used it as a way to make a statement that we're one team were one country. Now and he took a symbol of oppression and use it as a symbol of togetherness presidents to the captain. The springboks team captain francois. Tr remembers the moment. Madiba walked into the team's locker room before the finals against new zealand. He said Good luck boys and they turned off and my number was on his back in the day was i couldn't sing the anthem because i knew would cry. I was just so proud to be south africa. That the match was a nailbiter. It went into overtime. South africa ended up winning fifteen to twenty across the country. Black and white south africans cheer together in triumph paid off nelson. Intel is cheering. The whole of the stadium ceo flags nelson mandela. Knew that getting enemies to cheer for the same sports team was only a start much work. "Not quite the saints in the superdome a little bit different and and now going to norman which can be like a mad house not only. It'll be mad at the tulane game but like can actually be a really strong home field advantage that matters a lot and i would view the saints. The same way rather. There's a lot of discussion about homefield advantage really. This has been going on for two to three years. We would have guessed on all the time and they would say homefield advantage going down home field advantage going down like it's it's it's almost zero. It's it's a point. It's less than the three that you were kind of As like they used to be the legend almost like just the average number. You would put in for it even without evidence. It's like it's like three and everyone would come on the last couple of years. It'd be like no it's one zero But there were certain situations. I felt like where you would even if you felt like home. Field was dead or not a factor overall. You would still apply a lot of homefield advantage or more than you would in an average game and i feel like a like big time saints home. Game would be one of those situations so it's not just like you know if the jets for whatever reason had to abandon metlife stadium and play some play at rutgers or something okay cool you would make some adjustments. But i don't think you would make nearly the adjustments that you will in the packers game so i think it's it requires obviously i. It requires such a change in points. Read than a lot of books are saying. They're gonna literally cancel all the tickets if you ended up getting anything related to the first game. That's how much it matters matter so much. That books are actually like not willing to be on the for it. So that tells you it's significant. I can tell you that like in changing my numbers around my average home field. We can talk about this at some point in more detail. Like i'm starting point and a half but making a lot of alterations for specific situations Yeah after like change a lot of kind of what my projection for the game is Packers obviously go out from probably feel favorite. Maybe a little more than that now and And we'll see how the market goes doesn't make me want to make a bet. But i think it's just like be aware that it's not just the saints. It's all of these like situations are gonna start coming up with a lot of teams that are affected in that area. Good stuff there by ten on the new orleans saints a couple of quick notes. I wanted to hit here then. We'll get into our three day. Starting with the kansas city chiefs the cowboys today cutting garrett gilbert and benvenuti out for the new cooper rush right now is is dak prescott backup quarterback. The dallas reportedly interested in cam. Newton with jack banged up. You cannot go into the season with cooper rush so if that's what happens. I think that is very problematic for dallas full season. Wise washington cut running back peyton. Barbara wise that important. Jared addison rookie is going to be defined by primary backup to antonio gibson but jd mckissick and pass catching role so keep an eye on patterson here at the ends of your fantasy draft michael thomas officially placed on pay as well as packers left tackle. David bacteria elton jenkins will take over not much drop off from. Cra coming up next three days. It starts with the defending afc champion madiba homes and.

"We put ourselves in proverbial and i want to talk about that for a minute How do you see people putting themselves in sales and like box in themselves. And and what advice or what would you invite them to learn to be able to break free. My y simon. Cynic is to incite gratitude so i truly believe that gratitude is the catalyst for broke action. And you have to be. We all have to be the hero in our own story. So that means not being comfortable. That means doing things that we oh. I didn't think i could means getting out of the show. We've always done it this way. Or it's i'll never do that. You want to write a story you wanna write a book start with an idea outlined chapter You want to create something start. Start moving towards ed. I always save where there's a need. There's a seed and so of their so that needs to be done plans to seed and seed in water in care for to watch it grow. And then you see that need suddenly disappears. So there's a million ways to be creative and creativity can never be done in a box. So if you're able to if it's telling jokes whatever your particular town what your desire is card tricks anything be creative and then suddenly you'll take the box walls blow down. Like wow if. I can do that if i can. Just juggle socks mice prison cell which i could never master that way because like it multitask but if i could like people did and it's like oh my gosh i can. I broke down that wall. I can do another and once you see them. You walk me look. I don't even have a box anymore. I can do more things. We limit ourselves so significantly so much warmer than anybody else does. Either we have to deal with. Echoes in the back of her head from memories. You can do that. You're not creative enough. You're not towns enough. Whatever things said there us one time. It's not that we're not. It's they're not in they. Just don't see what we can do. Oh i i'm such a strong advocate of. Try it to think. I can do this there. There go your cell walls. i love it s. We're right at the end of our time. So i do want to ask you one. Final question anything For anybody that is apologizing for being sorry for finding joy places of darkness. What advice would you give them. So i i. I'm so yes apologized when it's necessary. Great i am so against our natural inclination to apologize for anything we perceived by somebody else. 'cause we really don't know what's in their brain. We go home. I'm sorry. I'm late instead of saying i'm sorry i'm late. What happens if you flip it. Thank you for being so patient what we done. We flip into a positive they feel. Oh i was patient instead of us. Saying oh i take the blame right. So we live in a world where it seems so easy to apologize. I'm sorry i'm sorry no i. I'm sorry but i do something. I'm not sorry. So you say agreed is opposite bump to something of course on the mercedes. Wow finding the good and tell somebody else could reacted removes law that that need to apologize fun when you build somebody up by and not demean yourself. It's a thing and it works and it sticks with you for a long time when you walk away from. That interactions like that. That really felt good. And if it feels good madiba way. Who Gets To Vote In Florida?

"This is planet money from NPR. In two thousand at the age of seventeen. Angel. Sanchez gets his first real job. It's in the Law Library at the Soto Correctional Institution in southwest Florida where Angel is an inmate mark first day at work. I walk in and they told me this is your desk. and. Had A desk I've never in my life had a desk before that moment right away. Angel loves this place. There are no guards there's no fighting they even have their own coffee pot and it was a sense of liberation homeless for out of prison. In that moment, Angel had lived a hard life. The first time police put him in handcuffs. He was in the third grade in the principal's office by age fourteen, Angel Traded Sixty Bucks in his Super Nintendo for his first gun he ran away from home he joined a gang. And at Seventeen, he was sentenced to thirty years in prison for armed robbery and gang related shootings, and it's in his first year in prison that he gets that job in the library and as he begins to study the law there, he starts to feel something that he's never really felt before like maybe he has plans I liked it because it allowed me to challenge the system in a legal way I. always there was never a challenge. The police stopped me I can't do. Nothing about that. They slap me a candle nothing about that and the law gave me an avenue that says, no, you could challenge it. Angel starts working on a paralegal certificate and as he's studying, he starts to think wait this is dot as hard. As I thought, it would be learning the laws like how what lawyers charge so much. It doesn't take much to learn to do this and most of the forms are refilled. What is going on here I thought it was a scam. This esoteric thing that I thought only geniuses knew I could get it. Either genius or they're not and I said Madiba ever got how could I be a lawyer but then he thinks Oh wait with even let me be a lawyer with a felony conviction. He looks into it and the answer in Florida is probably not or at least it would be very hard I. He'd have to beg the governor for clemency, which is almost never granted and then angel learns he's also lost a bunch of other rights. Because of his felony learned that in Florida, you're voting rights you're right to sit on during your rights rump up public office for life. It's losing the right to vote that really stinks for Angel. He's like hold up I can't vote ever like, I'm seventeen years old I've never even had the right to vote, and now you're telling me that for the rest of my life I, just get no say as a citizen of this democracy. Which is true. Of course, not just for Angel. There are about one point, four, million people with felony convictions in Florida one in ten adults with a felony conviction more than one in five African Americans. They what? But that's something that will come from some other countries like my family they come from Venezuela and Cuba there you see the government trying to imprison people and then use the law to take away people's political power but not in the United States. Hello, and welcome to planet money I'm Karen Defend taking away the political power of one point four million people is. A big deal anywhere. But especially in Florida Florida is a state that can swing presidential elections like the one happening just next week and elections in Florida usually come down too much less than even a million People Hillary Clinton lost Florida in two thousand, sixteen by one hundred, twelve, thousand votes in two thousand George Bush won by just five, hundred and thirty seven. Today on the show Angel Sanchez sets out to get the right to vote back for himself and for the one point, four million others like him in Florida. Which works? Until the fight stopped being about voting rights and started to become about money.

"They've been accessible csgo cheap and then the alleged it's free for the duration of its of its time without Loop boxes. Like you mentioned Belgium literally made people with Madiba legal because of the loop box nature of it off and that's just something that you know is always going to prevent people if if it if you have a big barriers like it being illegal in some countries or just the cost of $60 game add new boxes on top of it while you're you're not trying to get people reach that 100 hours of Play Ultimate Team and they're not going to be as interested in watching it at a high level just because of the barriers to entry there. So, you know, that's a big thing to think about but I want a dog Stop. It's just a little bit where it's 21 minutes. And I want to talk about some other things about Kaiser and about Community tournaments and Grassroots. Especially Kaiser has been growing over the last five years and we've seen a lot of these jobs would start of its take off more organizers pop up giving people ways to compete in games. How does that work on the back end. Can you take us under the hood and tell us a little bit about Kaiser's wage technical aspects that allow it to offer all these tournaments of these different games and make sure that the competition's Run smoothly and our fair for everyone. So like won't get to page wouldn't get too complex on the technical Parts one because I'm not a developer myself, but I know a lot about software and I don't know the things that it can do but also because probably a lot of people won't may be interested in like, okay, it's a you have a script platform and it uses react native and blah blah blah like but I'll go into like how it works is basically that you we try to in dog. With as many games as possible. And in fact, the the platform itself is a match-making platform. So for example, we have our own integration with Counter Strike servers. We had a integration with the League of Legends servers. We're now building a integration with supercell to for example offer a smooth integration with with with rosters and with Clash Royale and what it actually means is that once we match it to another user on the platform. It's also logged in and that also has checked in in to watch the tournament that we can automatically put you in the game against that team or against that player given the certain rule set that we put up for that game. And what's your game is done. We can automatically get Reeve all the stats that also if you want or if you lost and and all these kind of things and then yeah, it goes to your profile and you can you can you can see the leaderboards and wage. To see how you've how you've gone up or how much you've come down and then you can also win like multiple currencies to to go and and and and win prizes with them. So based on like what kind of terms that we have is that we like we try to be as complete as possible. So we have of course a single elimination bracket. You have the double elimination bracket where you go and if you even if you lose one you go to lose a game you go to.

"Them right and that's a again. I learned that from people who are good at what they do. Icon copying success right. That's why I always talk the key to success. Finish school sounds dumb ass right now to me. It does school. Get A job get married. Do those things that includes Mary get married so I include them saw. At this point I'd be my family. Danisco is important because you need to control your destiny. If you couldn't finish school the message you're sending is that you're unable to finish a task that you're given. I get a job because the only gonNA learn about life from having the work to get things done and you're not always going to start the top actually figure stuff out people getting being to you. Selwyn task you with things. You're not good not but ultimately if you're at the right place you'll be elevated. And the reason I care about marriage or pair bonding and what is that Airbus climate. It is but I'd much rather you get married because marriage is the only covenant you have with society that you will let the half the ones your birth certificate. I mean they do but not you. Don't they all sign your own birthday that you don't sign your certificate? Right D- covenant of marriage has always bonded humans together in a way that's Tangible and pretty solid. Can't you get out of marriage without going through the painful experience of telling society? I quit? Sometimes it's the threat the do I'm not. I'm not saying stay in a bad marriage but I am saying that taking the leap and believe in marriage and what it represents to. Our community is essential to successful human culture and we should not ignore that without realizing perils of it. It's marcy market before religion. I'm not going to browbeat you believing in God. I'm going to browbeat you. Bite affected faith itself has value. It gives you a structure to build around. It helps you crush on problems when you're overwhelmed. It gives your kids something to focus on because you can't teach all to them by yourself if arrogant enough to think that that's not important thing. You may fall prey to a lot of the mistakes that people who felt that way of have gone by the wayside and these are just basic insights. It's not rocket science but not speak openly about no. You're right you know. My husband were Jewish and he. He wanted my kid. He's kosher I'm like I don't eat pork but I'm not kosher right like all like uncle shirt chicken. Let's say but for my kids. He wants them to eat. Only Kosher and I bite about all the time. Why does it not reading eat organic or whatever his whole thought process is you teach them a young age how to have discipline on something and that will be the through line of their life so they know when they're with their friends they can eat whatever it is because they are kosher? That's your teaching them. That piece of information. It's not about being kosher per se. Healthiest thing about what? You just told me that your kids are going to hear you guys talking about that is so valuable. And I respect his desire to be kosher. I completely get while you're saying well that's a two thousand year old deal longer deal right. I went to Turkey in Turkey. I went to Turkish place called Potbelly Hill. It's the oldest human civilizations in southeastern Turkey. And it's right next to where Sarah met Abraham. Oh really so. The birthplace of human religion is in a place that was eight thousand years older than when Sarah Madiba and it reminds us that. There's something special about these traditions. They didn't just. It's it's lots of human effort. Yes figure this stuff out. So do I know the Kosher makes a difference? No right exactly what? I'm GonNa Throw Kosher away when a lot of really smart people worked hard to figure it out there. I can defend it by saying I don't eat pork. Scott trigon osas and infections and this is just. What a coincidence this good for you but that's not about. It's not about that. It's about the fact that a lot of really smart people thought hard about this and they thought it made sense. Don't don't away without thinking twice about it right exactly. There's an insight beyond just the superficial stuff but you know you did it a segment. Actually which is really funny because I had this conversation with people a time thinking of like diet and kosher like meat or food about like it was like artificial meat right 'cause Vegan because again now it's all about the trend to be no beep eat more plant finally foods but these Vegan burgers like these trae say impossible burgers beyond but whatever they're like isn't it. It's better to have an actual piece of protein. Then have all the additives and preservatives. Like if you look at these ingredients of these These artificial meats or whatever you WANNA call them. There's a ninety seven ingredients on them. So by velocity. Is that politically correct on the on today? So vegans should eat. Vegetarian booed But my wife is vegetarian. That's better for the planet better for her meat. Eaters should eat less meat one of the crutches to get them to eat. Less meat is eating processed. Meat is it is. It's all frost and so personally. I'd rather have burger than one of those alternative patties but they taste good enough that the average earwood eat them and the big issues. The environment environment than it is for like for Health. Well no for health purposes. There's less cholesterol cholesterol and although the saturated fat and sodium. But I don't think it's a health dish I think like meet. It's something you can put into your dot once in a while. It's not the foundation and I'm proud of the guys that impossible burgers and beyond burgers and all these companies. Because I think they're offering an item at something that meat eaters can crutch on as they begin to eat less meat but we as a country and planted ninety percent of all the animals live. We're going to eat right. Let's we got to cut that down. Manufactured meets help us do that but another health food. The what's healthy is vegetables and fruits is speaking of that. If I don't leave my wife come down here. I've mentioned Speci- will just take me out. I'm big time late. You gotta go okay. What happens it anyway? I can both rap. Okay we're going to wrap this up right now. How about that. Okay okay well. We're I'll sicker argue done. I think that we could talk to you more about like wellness fast but we can help you. "And there was a reason he was the king, but they work Cup races. I lean on this, Kabul. Maybe the most talented driver we've seen in the decade just for what he can do with a race car or a truck or an expensive car. I still think a lot of his wins. I look at them as AA and AAA streets. You don't get to count those. When you go to the major leagues, but even without him. Fifty two Cup wins. This. That's pretty okay. Where he is now, and it doesn't here's the thing. And I just for everybody listens on pay attention to this. They're only thirteen guys and the history of the sport that warm more than fifty races. Okay. Okay. He is he's he's one of those guests. He has two wins away from. I think my Granddad to be honest with to be the tenth win in his driver of all time in the sport. K two wins away. Right. He's thirty three thirty four whatever he is. He has a championship. He's over fifty races. When you look at the numbers he's put up in the Cup. I think they're obscured. And we don't talk about him enough because we keep talking about Iran. He does in the truck and xfinity's domain. I agree keep focusing back on it and truck when in essence he's bigger than he's won more races than Kevin Harvick we sing. Kevin harvick's praises every week. Tony Stewart, we think Tony Stewart's praises all the time. Think of the drivers that he surpassed and Cup wins that nobody wants to give him credit for sometimes. So I think when you look at it only an said it before and I may set it here. Mega to drivers. He and Jimmy Johnson or the. To act active drivers with more than fifty wins. The only two guys out there on a Sunday afternoon with more than fifty wins. Look you're putting him in the same conversation with Jimmy Johnson. You're putting him in the same conversation with Lee, petty and David Pearson and Dale Earnhardt? I mean, how you can't belittle right? What he's done anyway yen. He said yesterday on the broadcast. They asked him if you had a goal in mind for a, you know, benchmark you'd want to get to for couplings. What would it be? And he said a hundred and most of the time you would go. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Sure. But with him you're like, I don't know maybe maybe character winning six or seven. Races. And that could say right hearing well into his forties. And just yeah. And the guy that he's chasing that's active his winning is pretty much stopped. Yes. Stomach Jimmy, John. That's right. I mean, great phenomenal career but a year and a half of not going to victory lane. All right. So that's breaking down two hundred interesting of take from both of you there. Really? Appreciate that. I'm curious. How long you guys think it'll take him to get to two hundred. Do you think because I mean, clearly he could do it next week in California. But sometimes when you have those laying Mark milestones. They take. They take a little bit. Come quick. I mean, I do run the trucks and xfinity out there. I don't even know they run the it's Finnity Finnity. Right. Yeah. He got a shot to it in California. I would rather seem do it in a Cup. That I think that'd be a bigger deal asked me yesterday. Do you think he might try to hold out and get that win in a Cup environment? And I thought to myself no, he's Kabushiki going to try to win every single car. He gets in me if they gave a trophy for racing over here to play today that would be two hundred. The way he would be money. When we come back. We will do a little green flag black-flag campus. "And I should add real quick. We did a series of 'em QB on on sort of the patriots process. And and you know, some of the things that we see year in year out with them. And and they do treat the season like a process and part of the reason they are able to do that. And this is kind of lucky on their part AFC says never been very good. Or is it has rarely been very good in the years. They've been in it. So I I don't think they go into the season saying, well, we can we can win this at nine and seven or something like that. But most years they probably could they have they have a margin of error that's larger than most contenders during the regular season. I'd say that. See? But when you're seeing that it seems like you're implying that they do go in and say well nine and seven there's room to breathe there. Maybe not nine and seven extreme. I wonder. In. I think they understand that they can lose a game or two in the first quarter of the season. First third of the season and have time to make up for it. Well, but that's true of ever team still. There's no team. That's lost a game in September. And thought all man now, we're we're done we're we're too far behind. But there are teams that would lose a game or two in September and say boy were really beyond the eight ball now. Lucas what what I just said you're saying the opposite. So you disagree with me? I do disagree with you. I I would argue back that that's that. Then those it's it's a chicken or egg thing. But the the those teams having that response is why they are those teams and not the patriots any team that thinks September makes her breaks or season. That's a stupid team. That's a dumb way to look at it. But I think it's tough to approach the season and say, it's okay if we're a little bit sloppy in the first third of the season. But. But that's that's not how they look at it. If it's okay for a little bit sloppy. They're going to say we're building to something. It's a Mattie reflecting madiba flus had the colts Bill to something and he committed to that. And it worked out. Well, most teams probably don't have the guts to do it that way. Yes. But I'm saying the building to something. You can spin it, positively that you're that way. But saying were building something implies that perhaps we will we will have some slip-ups early on while we build how is that? How is that freezing? Oh, that's fine. I I can imagine a coach saying that is he bangs the lockers for a week two game and says let's go out there, fellas. Let's let's go Bill. Let's let's lay a good portion of what we have out there on the field today. And he can't win with you, curt wheezing burger, can you explain why he is asking this question, by the way, I'm not just saying that out loud. Can you explain why offense of Lyman are allowed to continue moving in the separation at the line the rule states that they have to hold the set position for a full second before the line before the ball is snapped by often see linemen moving hands and arms up until the ball is hiked the right guard number six six of the Rams awesome. Blyth? I believe he is referring to is especially guilty of this. I assume they are pointing out the Mike or calling blocking blades, it seems like a big advantage of defense as the defense can't react to that movement. But need to react to the play as quickly as possible. I mean, we're we're talking about false starts here or the lack of I've always I've kinda wanted this myself in Austin bluffs, not the one making the protection call..

"This is not an attractive place for young black athletes. The wanna come from the city itself. Madiba itself has proven. They can't keep superstars it can't maintaining keep them. Happy qualified Jimmy Butler, obviously Derrick rose headed injury issues on Dokie Noah had issues. I get that. But you can't superstars here. And then third you can't really traffic. Well, I mean if we're talking about Lauri Markkanen being are one a player or one player. It's kind of ridiculous. Liked backward being from his athletic standpoint. Cure your team either. So what else is due size? You know, gophers I Williamson, and that's pretty much it. Otherwise, no one's coming here. Period. Appreciate the call Taylor jumped. I wanna ask you though. Do you think it's Chicago thing or a bull's organizational thing, I think it's all tied together. Really? Like, I I don't think the city really has a negative impact. Nationally to two free agents or athletes. I who the hot teams that are are flocking here for your free agency in the midwest. Yeah. But like baseball players. I mean that's summer. Okay. I mean, some free agent signed with the bears Allen Robinson signed here. Yeah. You just here until December January. Outta here. So far so for the bulls Qazir here during the winter, no one wants to be here. But just just the idea that the NBA has a different culture. It is what you just laid out. There is a different culture. The, you know, the Chicago Bears have been able to get free agents here because they're like I love the city. They love the tradition. They feel that we feel that we're close or they got a lot of money to to put on me. So I'm gonna play here. Now. That's not a problem with the other sports and upon the NHL. Yeah. That problem for the Blackhawks beat no, it's it's the culture of the NBA. And this is why we're talking about this because is completely different in the NBA. Because of of STAN Van Gundy talking on captain company this week we played the soundbites on the show this week. You know, what he said is permeates through all of the the hotel lobbies and through agents and through the NBA culture at all permeates through it. They all know, they all know the perception of the Chicago Bulls. And so that's a and so here's one thing we point out could you imagine if the bulls put there. That's on the table. And just like, you know, what we're going to trade Lauri Markkanen, and we're going to be able to get rid of some of these guys get cap space. Could you imagine what they get in return, Terry Rozier, and then shine them up like he's going to be a superstar. Yeah. Well, I mean, but imagine that again the Knicks. They have something to sell. They got Madison Square Garden. They've got. They've got a good coach that many people respect. Well, bulls got a guy around as a whistle around his neck. Yeah. Doing push ups. That's gonna work. Let's go to Gideon in Antioch Gideon where the bulls. What do you think of their direction right now? Hey, guys. Thanks for having me on I hosted a Twitter poll on my Twitter yesterday. And it was asking what a true bowl, San Juan. And I think what a true bowl fan should want is losses and cheaper ticket prices. So the reason why we should want losses because I think we should try and go for that that number one pick. And if we're lucky enough to get the number one, I think if Jerry Reinsdorf is smart, he should go ahead and fire packs and gar ring in a smarter basketball mind, I know we have Doug Collins in the front office. And I think he's a smart basketball mind. But maybe there's someone else something like what the bears did with bringing in Ernie a Corsi a few years ago. Maybe like, I don't know. Maybe George Karl. I think he's a heart bath online. Management on Huda hire. All right. Thank you for your call getting I don't think people in. Today's current MBA are big fans of George Karl for one to my stance on the bulls organization is this. I know they don't want my advice. But if I gave it to him, it would be this, you need more people from outside the organization helping out you you too often go back to your own think tank of people who have been there forever. And Doug Collins, even though he may have been successful in different spots. He's still from here. That's the problem you need to get people who are not from here who have won at different spots to give a fresh set of eyes to this scene in in having the same old people. Just rope. The the shirtsleeves in think that elbow grease is going to get this done. It will not just won't never going to happen. No. Because of the because of the l word loyalty, hold on those jobs as it will dine those jobs. They'll die in the chair before they make changes because John Paxson brought championships private championship team guardsmen with the organization for a long time. It's clear it needs a fresh set of eyes. But if you're willing to change in the direction will always be the same, and let's be real Jerry has nothing to do with any of this. Michael Reinsdorf is running the bulls right now and Jerry's preoccupied with chasing may Machado. So what the bulls got some extra cash today? Right. Yeah. Because Carmelo's officially waived, and they pulled back a player from a wa woo from Oklahoma City and some. Cash is that cash going to the basketball operation or is that heading over to the White Sox? Chase for Machado. Who is? But I'm serious. Actually, what I'm saying is is that I think that the coffers are both the same. There you go. I think it's from the same crown Royal Bank NC doesn't that also play into why we seen the Knicks being aggressive. We see other teams setting up their future. But the bulls are on hold treading water because the baseball team you needs to be taken care of I right because the baseball team has been rebuilding. But now we have to chase a free agent with the baseball team. Once you get that figured out. All right four or five years when they got winning baseball team. Oh, yeah. Then we can figure out whether or not the basketball team's gonna win as long as you keep coming to the UC. Let's go to Rodney in oak park. Rodney what do you think of the situation? Yeah. I think it's more smoke, Chicago problem and. Sure. It starts off with okay. With the bears me. But I think the border situated the way back to be the Armstrong. And when it was time for BJ assume that position of general manager they over jumped over him and took a broadcast. And put them in and out after way happened with Michael Jordan. So the whole being has been up. You know, one thing after another noun a bullseye, China do they're trying to make Larry marketing into their, you know, their big star, which is not gonna make a jump shooting. Big man, who's not ever going to be a star. But we're Paxton Paxton one he wants Larry and be the superstar gonna work and no free agents gonna come Chicago. Especially after mega big car. Why would you come in Chicago? Wherever shows you love the law. They honestly what style you had, you know. Town got tough whole city turn on day role. You know, it's not just a Chicago thing. The whole city did not turn on Derrick rose. They didn't six percent. That's all I heard their roles and their role was bad deer road. And that's you know. Who on there? Name. You're did. But I hear a lot of broadcasts turn out. They're not you in particular. Well, if you listen to the radio, and you know, the news. What's a bad person? Yeah. The love there. I know we're did for the community. I'm in a community. So I know what they're, but no like house about what they did. But it be in newspapers and radio. All right. We'll we appreciate the phone call, right? But you cannot continue to paint with a broad brush saying what that nobody did this, and nobody you can't do that. He gets just because it's not an in your home or you don't see it. You can't say that nobody in the radio talked about Derrick rose in a positive light. And no one talked about what he did our four Semion at around the community, you you can't paint with a broad brush. And and Derrick Rose's injuries is not the reason why the balls won't be able to get Kevin Durant free agency. That's three is the culture around the organization. Yeah. And let's be real. I dare grows did amazing things for the city for his community specifically, and for people of this city just giving them hope of someone being able to make it from where he's from. I agree. There was also was cleared to play basketball and chose not to play basketball on a playoff team. Yep. So if a media member like myself points. Sat out that's not being negative on Derrick rose, that's telling you facts, there's a lot of that going on in today's world where a negative fact is just hating or a negative fact is just being negative now. It's just pointing out that that's something that took place. He's a good person. He's done great things. And he was good when he was healthy. He also was cleared medically by the bulls and said, nah, I'm good. It's not very Chicago like in my eyes. But I don't know. You just got to be able to tell both sides of the story. Now, if one size a story if you don't like it, then you don't have to listen to it. But if if there's something that's out there, especially if we have our ear to the ground and finding out information whether it's positive or negative you're going to hear it. And if you don't want to hear it don't just paint as hate paid as oh, I didn't know that story again, we're here to educate. You entertain you not to just to be able to just put somebody in a in a corner, we're not trying to do that John hood Chris black here on ESPN one thousand and ESPN app. Stephen Dallas, Texas listening on the ESPN app joins the show. Steve, what do you think of the direction of the Chicago Bulls? I have really no. The Chicago Bulls right now, and I it all starts top. But the wine stores. You know, what the White Sox and the balls mired in a very very bad situation. You know owning teams and not really, you know, putting resources into. You know, making teams better, I really think it is starting to show that and if you've been following, you know, while players after the game are really speaking out against Boylan and tile, and I were in one of his racial term, like a slave master. But I really think Boylan not fit for today's NBA coaching style much this college where players are younger faster, and it's a reflection of car packs and the way they conduct themselves on the business and wine stores for some reason giving a free pass single year. Unless we have another Donald sterling situation. I think this team is pretty much hopeless. I want to know what you guys think appreciate the call, you know, hopeless because of the ownership I do kind of agree with boiling, Donald sterling, let's not do that. I don't want the secret recording of he's got aids. Let's not turn this into a sixty minutes piece. I don't want. I don't. Advisor. To talk to a younger woman with these big wielding, shades and roller skates. I I don't I don't want to have that situation where he's like, you know, what was her name like vs something V stringer out on something like that. Yeah. It was it was like a bunny or something. I don't. Says for the ownership lay. We just would like them to put their foot on the gas and actually treat this team as an elite team in NBA history. Trying to win championships getting marquee free agents going that route the Jim Boylan thing. I listen he clearly doesn't fit today's player. I think that's obvious. Something sunglasses. Sixty minutes right with the private recordings. Big Magic Johnson. What does he ever done? Mean that's what he said. HIV aids. Oh, I know that that's that's what you're saying. Said on the recording. Yes, we kept saying like what is going on? Did you hear TNT last night at Barclay on? All this player movement stuff. I did. All right. I'm gonna play for you. Coming up next Jonathan hood, Chris black right here on ESPN one thousand. Pizza hut. You.

"You know, even the comeback to Baltimore made. No, it's it's it's winning advance. Baby. That's what you wanna do. I am worried. And this is the only thing I'll say right now that I'm that I'm really kind of worried about and that is this offense as good as it is for some reason just kind of goes to sleep at times or I shouldn't say that when you get into the playoffs. Everything is so magnified and focused. It's one play here. It's one play here. You literally could see that in the colts drives the reason that they go to punt the punt in the first half. They then they punted like four or five three top fourth straight times. I think there are some issues there that that the the play has to be made. Whether it's making sure Andrew has time to throw whether it's make. The ball gets, you know, far enough make the catch whatever. So that's the only thing that concerns me because when she got blanked in Jacksonville, you had slow starts throughout this year. The one constant and all this is your defense has been outstanding. And that's a heck of a thing to be able to put, you know, put your place to put your hat here. When you get into the playoffs at the defense is not doing the same thing as the offenses. Yeah. You know, the the it was it was strange to watch the power of that offense in the first half. And then to watch the nothingness in the second half. But this was a massive defensive effort. This was bend, but don't break and not even so much bent. What madiba fusses put together here is pretty impressive. Now, you take it to the Kansas City Chiefs. This is the vaunted high flying offense Patrick Mahomes with fifty touchdown passes this year. But this isn't the same chiefs team that was just route and people. For the first ten games. That's right. They lost two of their last three going into things. They are the number one offense. They're sixteenth in rushing yards per game. That's fallen off. Since whole Kareem hunt thing you take Kareem hunt off this roster..
