"And they were almost all wide open. So he's running out of time fast, and I wouldn't behoove the Celtics if or blame the Celtics rather if they move on at this point because again, you have to make the decision on 24 now. If he's not going to summer league, if there's really no way to gauge whether he's going to help you going forward, it might make sense to throw him into some deal and try to get a more experienced player at that spot because you're going to do that anyway, right? You're not going to rely on these Smith going into the season. And people shows up and helps you. Great. But they're going to look to replace him almost immediately, don't you think? Yeah. And I will ban people from the chat if he keeps saying yam madar one measure end. Those guys can't play. They can't even play overseas. They can't play. They can't play at that level. They're not coming here to play. I want yam. This is room firm. Juwan, he's too young. Juan couldn't Joan got dominated in the league he played in the heat. Can not play. He can not play. Not yet, guys. Take it. Let's have a solution, certainly. No. And as for Thursday, thank you probably going to be going in a similar direction at 53. A draft and stash. Yeah. Because you can't, what are you going to do? Bring a guy in. I mean, they have roster space this time last year. They do, and if you see a guy who's like, yeah, you know, let's give it a shot. I know it's a joke, kid rob. For some people, some people are dead serious. There's a lot of people in this chat who think yam is the answer. There's people here of a legit think he's better than Marcus smart right now. Wishful thinking, it's great. It's always nice to think that like, what if what if that guy comes over and he's awesome, they're not, they're not awesome. Sorry guys. I don't think it's ever happened. Has a guy like that ever come over and made.

"Are your hosts, bob dancer and Richard munchkin. Good afternoon. Welcome to gambling with an inch on bob dancer. And I'm Richard munchkin. Our guest today is Martin madar, spelled MAG, ya are. He's the author of a new Huntington press book called the 50 greatest stories in poker history. Martin madar, welcome to gambling with an edge. Thank you for having me. Your name and your accent that you're from Central Europe. What is your ethnic background? Well, I'm Hungarian. I currently live in Budapest hungover with a capitalist, but for example, my dad is from the village in east Hungary, but he was born down at home didn't have a bathroom, for example. Going back a generation, we kind of all Hungarian his Hungarian family. But I grew up in Budapest, capital city, and a very open environment. Nice neighborhood. But all I know is Hungarian. I can only trace back my answers to Hungary and nothing else. I've been to the U.S. twice. I work to some of them, but as far as kinetics answers to VM, I think I want it personal tanger yet. Okay. This book is about poker. How long ago did you start playing poker? Well, actually, I was playing back in high school without really thinking about it without being particularly good at it or studying it early. I watched some stuff on TV. We got our understand time. The money book moneymaker boom came to Europe. That was a couple years after 2003 when money maker actually won. And we got some poker after dark high textbook stuff like that on our sports channel. And I was watching that have us playing play money online, but I never thought about actually doing anything with it. Until much, much later, I thought, I started playing 7th grade 1314. And I got my first job as writing about poker as a book writer. When I was 23 and death when really I started making it a big part of my life for a decade it was just something that I kind of enjoyed. I was looking back now that I spent quite some time studying the actual strategy, I was pretty bad at it. But I still kind of enjoyed it and I got this job because of my industry in Hungary what you're hearing right now. This is pretty pretty good English. So I only got that job because I could write well in English, and then as I was writing, I just kept researching really getting into it, but for a decade it was just something that was in the back of my mind like, oh, I kind of like this game. And then when I was 23, that's when I just started landing about it to the job, but also I just thought that okay if I'm going to write about this game, I really want to study it. And started watching strategy content and got some software and all of that. So you still are you an active player today? Yes, but very low stakes cash mainly one cent two cent two cent 5 online and in Hungary I play 1500 which sounds good but it's fine, but it's like a falling piece around. So $1 is worth 300 billion. So that is like 15 cents 30 ten at live. And I'm winning at the very low stakes, but I don't think I would make much if I moved upstairs to uncomfortable here, most of my income is creating an content. So I'm kind of content with just saying. Which sites do you write for? So much work at dot com. I'm doing part time now, a content manager. I used to do it full time. I just had to go back to college to finish my masters. So I had to drop down to part time before that I was a content manager for VIP grandeur dot com. I was freelancing for poker cloud to dot com, which is coaching site run by X again with I don't know if you know how she's like a big tournament player and cache player. She was on Paul connect in America, for example, I did some freelance work for her and these are the most recent ones. We actually found those have come so much spoken of comm I still work for only part time and occupy the dot com. There was a most recent ban as for the biggest one was high stakes DB. I did a couple of articles for them as a parent or two. What you write how to play hands such as how to play 5 6 suited if you're in such and such position or do you write about poker history? I did some strategy for a book clouded, but I mostly wrote book a news kind of gossipy right now to play a bios and sort of country profile for so much work at dot com ad event when it just like a database of events like what is taking place where I submit to those into the last laid out database also when I was working for all the other sites I usually test this happened on pocket Twitter or this view this big score and all that typical stuff. I did most of my writing was always not strategy, but I did some strategy. Now poker is played all over the world, including Hungary, but it's mostly an American game. You're 50 greatest stories take place in the United States. How did it happen that a book about the 50 greatest U.S. poker stories were chronicled by European? Well, the vast majority take place in the U.S., which is, I think, because it's the autumn country of the game of poker, and also the biggest book industry, even after Black Friday is stay in the U.S.. But there are some European stories like I remember one about and it opens that Norwegian girl winning the WSOP Europe main event at 19. And she played the event to London. But I can't give you an exact number how many is European versus American? I know there are some Hungarian guys in there about the biggest who knows online. But it just the biggest industry that's where the WWF played every year before Black Friday the biggest online booking market was in the U.S. and the. Country of time old legends of these gamblers that also took place in the U.S. and they still look at the biggest players right now and hand them up. Most of them have American flags. So that just how the world works. But I'm always loved America and American culture. So it's like adapted, not home, because I only spent like two summers there, but adopted favorite country basically as a market. So it's not far from me. Quite in tune with American culture as much as I could here. And I know we've read it. I loved it..

"You know, I'm excited to get someone new in here with some fresh perspective and lay that on the team here and you know I'm sure he was happy to continue to collect the salary that he was in the head coaching capacity in a different role, but you know he was willing and able and did a good job over the off season. I thought, probably better than I think anybody could have expected, but resources that he had, the incredible orford trade, it was just a Java done by Brad and feels like at least for now and he's in that role for I don't want to say the long haul, but longer than I thought it was possible there. So, you know, I'll give grabbed some credit in terms of the transition. It was a quick one. I know people were crapping on the draft pick here, but I spoke to coaches in Vegas. We're very impressed by the prospect that he picked up at 45. He's playing well in Paris. We're not going to figure out that one for years from now. So hold off on the boss then flag waving. Because again, we did it for mo Brown. And more browns in the G league. So hold it on one game reactions on prospects that you passed on. Yeah, that's fair. Fair. I'm not doing yamada. "The NSA intercepted the phone call the kicked off the 9 11 mission. Keep in mind the National Security Agency had known about that operational center in Yemen. The phone numbers the direct connection to Osama bin Laden for three years by that point. That also intercepted the phone calls setting up the bombing of the USS Cole. And during one of those intercepted phone calls. They got Nawaf Alhamzi is full name. Off the recording. However, in the late December 1999 9 11 phone call. It only revealed Ramsey's first name. No off Here. The NSA made its first major mistake. Instead of checking its own computer database for recordings from that Operation Center in Yemen. Where would have found out Nawas full name from the previous phone call a year earlier. Agents simply sent the first names of those two boys onto the CIA and the FBI. Had they done their job right and sent the full name of Nawaf Alhamzi on The State Department would have immediately found out it issued. A travel visa. To that suspected terrorists months earlier, more than that. They would have uncovered the fact that Mader had been granted a travel visa to the US On the same day. Out of the same office. Alec Station, where the NSA CIA and FBI jointly worked, did send a memo to CIA operatives in Malaysia under the title. Activities have been laden associate, Khalid revealed. It included the line about the second point, saying That Nawas travel, maybe in support of a terrorist mission. Whoa! Homsi changed his flight at the last minute. So he slipped through the intelligence agencies, not just in the US, but our intelligence allies and Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Dubai. Madar was a different situation. He left Saudi Arabia landing first in Dubai were under the direction of our embassy, U A e officials secretly copied his passport. Which showed.

To wait the phone call that would start the terrorist mission against America. He had gone home because he learned that his wife hold her was pregnant with their first child. Then in late December of 1999 at the home of his father in law, the house that was the operational center of Al Qaeda terrorist plots. Came the phone call that murder had been waiting for. Always <Speech_Male> happy to be here. <Speech_Male> I was thinking <Speech_Male> about the one we did in Vegas <Speech_Male> a couple of years ago. We were <Speech_Male> sitting around the <Speech_Male> the restaurant, <Speech_Male> the yes, the diner <Speech_Male> table in the casino. <Speech_Male> Yeah, <Speech_Male> you remember what are <Speech_Male> waitresses <SpeakerChange> name <Speech_Male> was <Speech_Male> fucked you <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> know <Speech_Music_Male> I have a terrible <Speech_Male> memory foam, <Speech_Male> a chance. <Speech_Male> But I mean <Speech_Male> appearance, longtime <Speech_Male> listeners <SpeakerChange> will remember. <Speech_Male> Yeah. <Speech_Male> I think I might have been <Speech_Male> close to our most <Speech_Male> listened to podcast ever. <Speech_Male> I'm not joking about <Speech_Male> that. If you're talking about <Speech_Male> Jaden vs. Lonzo ball <Speech_Male> that's <Speech_Male> generally and <Speech_Male> that was like <Speech_Male> the hype of <Speech_Male> the world that when the <Speech_Male> the hope I said smart <Speech_Male> things. Right. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Last question <Speech_Male> for pnn so we can <Speech_Male> maybe get some of that bump <Speech_Male> is jello <Speech_Male> going to be on Thursday. <Speech_Male> On the <SpeakerChange> Hornets, <Silence> I mean, they <Speech_Male> cut one of the <Speech_Male> Martins <Speech_Male> with the Martins <Silence> as like <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> as like <Speech_Male> it's, it's interesting. <Speech_Male> Yeah, <Silence> I don't know. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> You know, I always wondered <Speech_Male> not real quick. Like if <Speech_Male> you're a <Speech_Male> an identical twin and <Speech_Male> they are hardcore, identical <Speech_Male> twins, <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> couldn't they just <Speech_Male> like live together and <Speech_Male> like, alternate <Speech_Male> going <SpeakerChange> into the practice <Speech_Male> facility <Speech_Male> and the only thing <Speech_Male> you turn it. <Speech_Male> I'm sure <Speech_Male> that's true Rich. <Speech_Male> That is true. <Speech_Male> That's absolutely true. <Speech_Male> But <Speech_Male> they could both just <Speech_Male> play on <Speech_Male> the team <SpeakerChange> and <Speech_Male> no one would know. <Speech_Male> I don't know, <Speech_Male> it would at least bit interested <Speech_Male> in just one <Speech_Male> day. I don't know what is <Speech_Male> Caleb? <SpeakerChange> And Cameron <Speech_Male> is Cody <Speech_Male> Cody. <Speech_Male> Yeah, <SpeakerChange> Colleen Caleb. <Silence> <Speech_Male> I wonder if you could <Speech_Male> go. I mean, I think if like <Speech_Male> if it was Marcus <Speech_Male> and Markieff <Speech_Male> I think they could pull <Speech_Male> it off pretty easily. I mean, <Speech_Male> the identical tattoos <Silence> and all that <Speech_Male> Brooke <Speech_Male> and Brooke and <Speech_Male> Robin obviously <SpeakerChange> went their <Silence> separate <Speech_Male> ways. But <Silence> <Speech_Male> I don't know, I couldn't, <Speech_Male> I don't know. <Speech_Male> I can't tell. <SpeakerChange> There's been either <Speech_Male> of them. That's really <Speech_Male> a story idea. Might for you <Speech_Male> to <SpeakerChange> dive <Silence> into. For SI this year, <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> you pitch it to insidr <Speech_Male> cheating. Yeah. <Speech_Male> Like <Speech_Male> to the pizza Tome. <Speech_Male> Everyone who stayed <Silence> there be like hey <Speech_Male> we're just going to we're <Speech_Male> going to try this. Send your brother <Speech_Male> into practice <SpeakerChange> today. <Speech_Male> The untold <Speech_Male> story. Yeah. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> All right. <Speech_Male> Well <Speech_Male> make sure you check out Mike <Speech_Male> on the Open Floor. <Silence> Pod <Speech_Male> at SI. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> You <Speech_Male> guys do it twice a week. You <Speech_Male> guys tomatoes out right now. <Speech_Male> Still <Speech_Male> still <Speech_Male> all throughout <Speech_Male> the off-season. <Speech_Male> So keep it going, <Speech_Male> keep <SpeakerChange> it going <Speech_Male> doing great work. <Speech_Male> They're <Silence> <Speech_Male> rich <Speech_Male> half of the Red Sox game <Silence> tonight. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> First time <Silence> and like <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> wage if they close <Speech_Male> to like six <Speech_Male> seven years, <SpeakerChange> so I'm excited. <Speech_Male> All right, so <Speech_Male> we'll break that down <Speech_Male> on the next week Place pod, <Silence> <Speech_Male> grip socks <Speech_Male> in turmoil <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> I'll be live-tweeting I'll <Speech_Male> be live-tweeting the game <Silence> good <Speech_Male> God <SpeakerChange> wants to follow <Speech_Male> on <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> it is up that <Silence> way, Place pod <Speech_Male> on Twitter <Speech_Male> you <Speech_Male> a shout on <Speech_Male> YouTube as well <Speech_Male> if you want to <Speech_Male> see really bugs and <Silence> we will <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> get back to you guys <Speech_Male> probably <Speech_Male> of the week for a little summer <Speech_Male> league wrap up and <Speech_Male> maybe see if <Speech_Male> they can, they're a little quicker on the roster here.

I play a second here <Speech_Male> and I <SpeakerChange> and I remember <Speech_Male> he did <Silence> not play well, <Speech_Male> but <Speech_Male> it was because he wasn't, <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> he wasn't <Speech_Male> out there, trying <Speech_Male> to dominate the competition. <Speech_Male> Obviously, John Brown <Speech_Male> was able to dominate that competition. <Speech_Male> He was just <Speech_Male> fucking, you're not fucking <Speech_Male> around a bad way. He was just <Speech_Male> working on it, working <Speech_Male> on stuff that he <Speech_Male> was not that great <Speech_Male> at, right, <Speech_Male> you know what I mean? So he was putting <Speech_Male> himself in uncomfortable <Speech_Male> positions, he <Speech_Male> was, he was he was <Speech_Male> working on specific <Speech_Male> moves during, <Speech_Male> I mean it wasn't like, let's <Speech_Male> just go out and play and <Speech_Male> show everyone on the best. <Speech_Male> It was like, how can <Speech_Male> I use this <Speech_Male> Arena <Speech_Male> these guys as <Speech_Male> a useful scrimmage <Speech_Male> to work on projects? <Speech_Male> Sure thing. So I would <Speech_Male> like to see <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Aaron Nesmith in <Speech_Male> that situation where you're <Speech_Male> out there and he's <Speech_Male> not just like, all right, <Speech_Male> on the big boy. "With three J's. Jae, Crowder as well. Yeah, then what? Terrible there. Yeah. Al Morris. Was that Marcus Morris? Yeah, maybe it could skip that. I mean it's like back and forth me. A lot of you. A lot of I think if you could take the like the best of the last three years. Like the their best point of the last three years from that roster I just mentioned. Like, that's a pretty fun and solid team. Oh yeah, no it's again a lot of sliding door is like what if things look back on, just how things have played out but it is that was just a bad word you know, cyber I just thought was interesting what kind of just knowing where What they brought him in for and how quickly he was out the door in terms of him just recalibrating. How they they want to plan things out? All right, let's wrap up a little more. We talked about Jama Dart earlier, but we're we're sneaking up on summer league here in a couple weeks. You know, you just came out from Vegas, Rich, folks, who do you, who you excited to see in summer league and from a southern standpoint and is there like our guys, like Carson Edwards from the waters. Are those guys do kind of? See them as like actually playing for the roster spots when they're there. Or is it a situation where? Like they really should be done here, they're not going to be able to walk. You know one week of strong place in Salvage. Just like the writing on the wall with where those guys aren't with this team needs. Yeah. Well who is a car stood in outremont? Like Carson Sharma. I mean, Taco, obvious log. Is a different category but then I feel like those are the guys playing for roster spots and then you have like Grant Williams and Romeo who I think are just, you know, I don't think they're playing for rust spots. That might be their jobs because they need reps and they they have some really last year and like they both need to improve. Sort of pressing that they're still even at that point where they're right. You'd have to, I mean, don't play us notices for to bring the Summer League Championship, maybe that's what they're going. You know, doesn't really team page with those guys aren't playing to like, I'm sorry. Not there. Be like, I would think the Celtics would encourage them to play, but I know maybe Romeo it's like we don't ruin to get hurt again. So like no, we don't really take me get her on the flight over just keep them in a bubble. But yeah, I mean, Carson Carson. What more do you need to see from now? It's like like you said, like you're going to see him go like beat up on some funky eighteen-year-old like he's playing his first his first NBA minutes ago. Yeah, no he's let's let's use another roster spot on him when we had the the probably the worst end of the bench in the NBA were dead. One of the worst. And so, in other words, yeah, and I'm going to end. I'm you can go like four or five deep on the end. Yes. I burst the bottom five in the league. Let's let's let's, let's roll the dice game. Javonte green, right? He's the guy that you roll the dice on in summer league, saw a little glimpse of something that maybe could be some grow into something else..

"Another guy. Another another Jae Crowder, another McHale Bridges, just sort of the guys that you can plug into any NBA offense, and you're going to do. The right thing is don't need the place called for them, are just there to make a fence work. Yeah. And it was a long I don't, I don't know. I mean I took that kind of took that a no. But that was a great, a good. Yeah. Like that's along with your it's funny. Now just going back and looking at everything when you're like, oh okay, what would you rather end? This is pre-injury prepared injury. You're like with this other, you know, the subject came up a lot of pieces. In order to be able to sign Hayward that off season and then obviously Crowder became moved out the door in that Kyrie trade since you know he wasn't going to be happy coming off the bench in that scenario. Clearly. Mm. But you wonder it's like okay you want if you have the right places pieces in place, you know, Jae Crowder at 9 million versus Gordon Hayward at thirty million. It's like, you know, it's funny how things that develop over time or a couple of years ago. That's a no-brainer. And now you look at what like Crowder's doing in these games and you're just like, ya know, that like having the the short story, even though Crowder off his, this is history Point shooting. It was never consistent here. Anyway, we're no matter too. So it's like you go both ways and that sort of thing, I feel like sleeping but he's also become a kind of player that that you can you don't want to over nine or whatever it is, but like that, you can withstand a bad shooting night for him, because he does so much other stuff and she passes. He oh, he's just he's tough. He's, we don't one of those guys that he just want on your job. Especially at this time of year, but funny. You think about that now, like if you just take the Kyrie trade out of it, right? So you got the Jays, I mean,.

"I bring the title odds for next year, which I think it's a fascinating way to look at where Brad Stevens. And the rest is always for novice Iraq heading into this auction. So I asked, I'll ask you just straight out where do you think they rank amongst having the best odds for next year's title? Right now, like first, second, third and I mean, I would, I would say that there's somewhere around. I would guess like, maybe maybe, eight nine, ten here. Here's where they're at, they are tied for 12th. Hm, I'm not surprised or upset about that. That's Again, we we we went in last year, right? And we said, okay, the Celtics are the same team they were last year. So the team that got to the Eastern Conference Finals with some help. You sure. They're the the same team they were last year, minus Gordon Hayward. There's no way they are going to be better than they were last year. So this year, you know, you see where they were another like a middle-of-the-road team, you've gotten rid of Kemba Walker, you've brought on Al Horford, I don't I don't see where you can make an argument that they are going to be a better team, right? Certainly not unless you think the Fate was that bad with Kimba in Hartford wage, is going to be looking spry re at 8:35 and on top of that, you trade away, your first round pick. So that's one other ship that you could use to improve. That's gone. Yeah. And I think I think again, I think I would not be shocked. If the Celtics come out and have a great start like much like they did last year. I think there's always that like, you know, the, the new car smell the new coach smell, right? There's going to be that Vibe right off, something you were starting fresh, and I don't know if having Brad around sort of maybe weekends that a little bit, but I, I wouldn't be shocked if they come out really well, but like again, I don't, I think depth is an issue. I don't think they are built to deal with the long. You know, the the war of attrition that is the NBA season. So I think as as it moves on, if they can stay healthy we said it with any team. But either one of those seems that they can stay help. Healthy. I think maybe maybe they get home-court advantage in a play-offs but that, that hardly ever happens and I think it's yeah, I think it's very very unlikely that they are in a position with Pete for a title next season..

"Going to make it through the waves. I mean, you're going to get that from an American over there cuz that's pregnant who can translate it properly from a nickname perspective. I feel dead. And if you ever hear it again, I think it's most likely that it came from this conversation. So they go so well, I'll that when I, when I see him in summer league, I'll be my first question, but like, hey, it shouldn't get get over here. We'll see how he responds to that, and then we'll go from there. I think it's a chance for taking, I think that, like, the negative response, but it's not like he's never going to talk to you again. Yeah. But if it goes, well, you're immediately. The guy off, right? Like every yambilee from here, until he's put the Hall of Fame. And fifteen years will come via Bryant pretty cool chance to take. Have you watched any M film yet? I've watched the best of yam that's put together in on on YouTube Every Once awhile. But yeah, I mean and I've spoken to some people with the Celtics about him as I'm sure you have and I'm like he's he's a an okay. Great confidence is not an issue. Great playmaker, not quite a campazzo level playmaker, probably not Rondo, I mean, okay for him to run. Do I saw that on online at that point this week that maybe the Israeli run? But yeah, I mean I don't think, I don't think expectations are too high this year. I mean, there's no, he's not a whole lot to to bring him aboard this year. Let Me Maybe. I'm like a a Jew way, but they're gonna have to buy him out of his Israeli contractors. Looks like to get him over here, which is not going to be nothing. They'll obviously do it if he looks great in summer league, but they with only three open roster spots right now. I think it's far from a sure thing they bring them. Then again, though they have a club or need for another point guard and if he if Tremont Waters does not, you know, kind of Fades into the sunset here then they could have, you know, obviously a open two-way spot as well. I mentioned that we were putting all these on YouTube now, so we got, we got some comments in the YouTube section. There was one I wanted to bring up with you specifically cuz I think it's very interesting. One that says that you were his fourth grade teacher. The I switch for know, so I never, I never taught fourth grade. I was a teacher's aide in Newton for a 2-year, never fourth grade. So he must suck it up. "Usa doesn't come with the gold. I think last time we talked. I gave outdated odds. So i'm gonna make sure gets his up-to-date odds as i can and following the loss to australia. Tina says odds vis-a-vis. The boston's in vegas have changed pretty radically so here. They are today. tuesday. I don't know what it is being teacher during summer. Vacation is amazing. I have no idea what the data's here are. The updated odd so The united states is still the number one team by a wide margin to walk away with gold and men's basketball at minus three seventy australia is holding at second. As a plus eight fifty and then varying degrees of even more risk spain slovenia france geria- argentina shuttled to louise scola and his ferry. She haircut argentina's number seven italy germany czech republic and iran which is awesome. We would love to see that I think iran might win gold and volleyball looking for that. So let's go around the horn. let's yes yay or nay do Team usa walk away with gold. And if not gonna win gold. Alex i sure At the end of the day we can talk a lot about teams as flaws and foibles. This is definitely not as good a team like the two thousand eighteen for example or the two thousand twelve team both of which had some really stacked rosters. But here's the thing. God's basketball ultimately is a simple game if you have the best player on your team. You're almost certainly going to win. And kevin durant. Is the best basketball player alive right now so i think the us is going to win. Gold i think that katie is simply not going to let them not moving old. I liked the ozzy's as the silver medallist because of the aforementioned super hot olympic patty mills that tends to happen as well as guys like aaron baynes giddy and there. There are really fun well-built team. And then i like france I think for the bronze because of our boy. Evan -fornia among other things vertical Doctor i'm going to rank them in order australia. United states france. So you have the boomers taking gold gold berry. Cole and Are embassador to the international community. Josh what he got. So i'm going to do in order as well. I'm going to go a great britain. i'm gonna go. Usa australia and let me just throw in the wild card of lithuania yet. I love that i mean. Certainly the international game benefits teams. Big men who also know how to play the international game which makes the kevin love thing even more confusing. But let's not talk about that Just a rounded out I'm going for slovenia and lucas lucas. Winning this thing. I'm going for slovenia. I think the team yes. I will get bronze and boomers. The boomers field like a team. Ready and onto onto something awesome. Yeah maybe. Lithuania is not gonna go as far as josh hoped. Because maybe not going at all. So that's about it for the olympics even started yet. We can't get too excited if you've watched any of the exhibition games. They are like pretty disjointed and confusing..

"At the fields. This i mean. We got a lot of basketball to play but between nigeria australia. France serbia. Who do you think really is. The united states is biggest kind of Opponent or hurdle and the cuesta gold. The aussies definitely laughed impression on me Patty mills seems to go to a different level. Every time that he goes to the olympics which is pretty cool to watch. Honestly i really enjoy with patty mills. They have a lot of talented nba level players and josh giddy. Who is one of my favorite prospects in the draft. And so i think the ozzy's are well coached. They have a lot of talented. I think they would be a pretty serious threat. I'm also taking a look at france. Just because i feel like go bare evan -fornia obviously go sean yavuz. La have too much But they have a very well built well-constructed roster so it's probably those to me. There is an outside chance that be a slovenia or greece if they get jaanus in time or a A a serbia could make them run as all of those teams have true and be a superstar level players but in terms of the general roster. Makeup i really like the offseason france more. Yeah i it's interesting. This is not the point of this. Podcast i actually think the osce team is better without ben simmons but we talk about that later and justed rather alex because you said gershon yobbo sally listless close the loop. She just signed with real madrid To play basketball which is a pretty damn good landing spot. And let's just celebrate the moment but that could be a pathway back to the will see go back to say though just a maybe these laws aren't a big deal. Maybe they are only time will tell. Although historically exhibition losses haven't been or have rather been a pretty good predictor of struggles in the olympic spat. Coach popovich was a little defensive. When asked about the loss to australia other night. I'm wondering were you on the call And even if you weren't thoughts they're i wasn't on the coal But i did see the exchange after the fact He didn't seem particularly perturbed. He hasn't seen particularly perturbed. I don't know how much of that is. You know nice stony-faced poker face whatever you wanna call it and how much of. It is actually reflective of how he feels about team usa. I'm a little concerned. He his basic point with the reporter was just at the framing of it. Being like the skies fall under blowing teams are blowing each other out and the like Is not an accurate respectful thing to be saying about these terms. I tend to agree. But at this point. I'm a little concerned More concerned than than coach pop is. I don't necessarily think that things are problem because a lot of these players haven't really played that much international player and definitely not recently. You can see them getting confused. They don't get a call for context that they expect to beginning. There's also this like it's my turn. Now it's your turn kind of style of play. that really celtics are way to from. I don't know. I'm not too worried about it but if there is going to be something that gets in the way of team. Usa medal in gold medal. Because i tend to agree that you know spain france. Serbia australia's are all teams. That could definitely be the united states. I mean given night if they have one of those might turn your turn nights..

A you know a terrible year full of covid absences and injuries as a result of the condense offseason. It's a little concerning after his last performance. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking you game off and you know stressing me out. If it's feeling anything at all you also get the added. Bonus of that. But earlier we talked about Bego and his, you know, I'm I'm relatable video and what's your face from Massachusetts. Elizabeth Warren, let's have a beer beer in the kitchen how relatable, but really they what to me when I see those videos. They make the case of how bad they are. And yesterday Jim Acosta posted a video on CNN and CNN reports down at the Madar case he went to the border. Yeah. And you know, how I mean he hates Trump. He's detroit. It's all it's all hatred of Trump. It's no wall. There is no crisis. But he posted this and. I mean, so unaware that makes our case what you just reported on. Jim are you that dumb? Well, later around he posted something different to make up for it. But this is the report that everybody crazy went viral across America when he posted it saying Jim make here. Yeah. Here it is. Now one thing we should point out these steals last run the entire length of the border here in mcallen, Texas, as a matter of fact, this point where we're standing right now there is a chain link fence behind me, and then some brush some trees before he hit the Rio Grande river talking to folks there are migrants that come through this area. But a lot of the residents we talked to say this is very safe community and that they don't see migrants coming into their community causing a lot of crime in may have this. Okay. So again, see still, but this is actually that's the one he posted making up for the original one because the original one he didn't go to the chain link fence, the original what he went the first one. He went just along the slats. You know what? I mean. It was it was it was the same thing. He's still making the case, Jim, hey, it's the middle of the day. Right. And so no one is going to be coming across that fence during the day, Jim. And be the reason they're not there is because there is a wall, or at least fencing of some sort mazing. Yeah, amazing buffoon. He's just a buffoon. And this border situation. You know, how much worse does it have to be before people? Finally, get it before the left finally understands. There's something going on here. I mean, you know, eight hundred thousand a year a million a year one point five million a year sneaking across the border. Last year. They actually I think the apprehended something like three hundred some thousand three hundred thousand so and they catch about one in five according to.
