That's right and was. Probably, some very, very good piece of advice at the time there's one story of course, people will want me to ask you about what you can recall, which is the back nine, hundred, ninety s when. The Independent this official. In the middle of the night, there was an intruder, a knife jack knife wielding men broken and she is a light sleeper. She said, she encountered him in the hall outside and was able to alert. Can what do you remember about that? That story? Well, what I remember about it it was this was about a week or so as after the Quebec referendum, things are pretty tense at the time and it was the same day that Prime Minister Rabin had been assassinated in Israel. So, they were the Christians were leaving the next morning to go to the Rabin funeral. And The you know in the middle of the night at three o'clock in the morning she heard some noise in the house and. I don't think they had that night. They didn't have any staff and listen she was a little concerned. So she got up and opened open the bedroom door to see what was going on and found somebody in the court with a knife. So she ran back into the bedroom they had a lock on the door lock, the door Walker husband up and called the police and what I recall very well as that the police were outside and did not do a great job of coming in. They decided they had to secure the perimeter of the host before coming to see somebody who was carrying a knife but at any rate she I think she saved her life in his life by being a light sleeper that night and he was after she woke up cuts in he was able he armed himself I think with A. Carving or something you're carving but. In case in case, the intruder broke into the bedroom. So that that scrappy nece leaned back away from a fight did she and she didn't so. Great. It's a great story I mean scrappy but I don't think you know frankly didn't have much choice. What would you do if you the door and Seventy with a knife wants to kill your husband, slammed the door and you call the police. She also I mean politics she talked about her appetite for the fight because it was what does interesting about that is a few months later. there was a famous incident of a where he grabbed protester by the throat. And we call it the Shawinigan handshake but the night he was very concerned about that and I was over doing some work towards the end of the day. And he said to me he said, why don't you stay for dinner? Didn't happen very often. So I stayed in during dinner at one point the prime minister got up I think probably go to the washroom and madame crazy and said to me, Eddie do you think somebody's going to kill John One day? So that was the? Great the protection of prime ministership person public life is very, very important and it's very time. Threats are very tough on families. Did you not also though tell him that she didn't think it was a good I with the Shenanigan handshake that incident was something that she. That he should be proud of. She, said at the time and became almost. Folkloric in Canada. What do you? What you will you remember about a link rats yeah. You know this is something I've been thinking about that last couple of days and I'm not sure. I mean, there are many many memories I've known her I started to work for him for Mr Creighton after my first year in law school there's a summer student and he was very kind and I got to know the family and I've known the family for almost fifty years. So I mean I remember as I said, I remember as A. Very supportive of him very supportive of staff. Very, very strong on the importance of family and. She was a mother grandmother and a great grandmother. I think they have six or seven great grandchildren. In the last few years, they were really the joy of her life and his life. Any top government communications officials should know posting on your private facebook page is not private yesterday, the Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services in the United States Michael Caputo hosted a facebook live video which beamed out to his thousands of friends, and then promptly to the media in it the troy list claimed that US government scientists were actively trying to undermine president trump warned of an armed insurrection after the election and said, he was personally under threat. Dan Diamond is politicos health and politics reporter. Today, we reached him in Keila up South Carolina. Dan In a word. How would you sum up this facebook message from Michael Caputo terrifying and I think it's terrifying for two reasons Carol I. If you are one of his friends and fans, this is terrifying message of what the world would look like if Joe Biden wins if Democrats triumphant CDC, scientists get. Their way Mr Caputo is painting a picture disturbing picture of what the world looks like but I also think terrifying because there is no evidence to suggest a lot of his claims at others said that it sounds unhinged. Would you say that as well? We'll I would say carol that I'm someone who has covered Mr Caputo. In the health department for some months. So there has been a bit of it desensitizing effect of being so close to Mr Caputo in his tweets and what he said in private and sometimes in public but his attacks on Centers for Disease Control Scientists and other federal officials they are not so different from what spilled into public on his facebook post. Let's talk about some of the language he uses to describe the CDC. He believes that we're claims that government scientists are engaged in sedition, which is extraordinary charge and that there is a resistance unit determined to undermine president trump within the CDC, what can you tell us about? The trump administration specifically political appointees like Mr Caputo are longtime loyalists of the president are convinced that there is a core of government officials people who've worked in Washington. DC were another agency is like CDC which is based in Atlanta Georgia. They have worked in in the minds of Caputo others to undermine the president success as someone who has covered the health department for years a do think that the CDC is not perfect. It has gotten something's. Wrong in the US Corona virus response the to carry that through to the argument that this CDC and it's a Legion of public health servants who worked for decades on major problems. The day would abandoned hippocratic oath were put signs aside to simply submarine the president it it beggars belief and again, there's no evidence that any deliberate undermining is what is happening here it takes a very strange turn after that doesn't and that e he says that. He feels that he's personally endanger and you said, you understand they're going to have to kill me. Where's that coming from? Carol I might be able to offer a little context on this too I work at politico, which has a a more traditional newsroom in a magazine component and Mr Caputo some years ago did write a magazine piece for us in the wake of his involvement in the Robert Mueller Investigation Mr Kudos a good friend of Roger. Stone. They go back many decades Caputo drove Roger. Stone around with that was one of his first early jobs. So he was he was drawn in to this investigation and he said in writing and Politico magazine a few years ago that he felt afraid for his life that progressives liberals in the United States were making threats on. Him that he had buy a weapon that he woke up in the middle of the night terrified for her himself. So this is a a new argument Sunday. It's again something that Mr. caboodle is said for several years and I think what he's particularly reacting to is the massive spotlight that has emerged in the past few days since we wrote a report on Friday night about Mr Caputo in his team's efforts to meddle in scientific reports here in the states, and I'm wondering if that may be triggered this response because that was very significant report that you did a talking about how that the that Mr Puto is has is trying to has a. Very, important messages have been issued from the CDC maybe you can explain better what the claim is there. I'd be happy to That's a story that I spent a lot of time on before it went up Friday evening. Mr Caputo as the top spokesperson for the US Federal Health Department has tremendous power over the messages that are health department put out to Americans, and his team has tried to get in the way of the scientific bulletins that the CDC puts out regularly on Corona virus. It's the assertion of Mr. Caputo is aid, Paul Alexander Lee, recruited from McMaster university in Hamilton Ontario. The two of them had been bullying the CD's they've been bearing down in pressuring the CDC it either change reports that have already gone online or to edit reports that. Could be going up soon in they're telling the CDC is being too pessimistic. It's not including enough caveats and again in their telling, the CDC is trying to undermine the president they he speaks of Mexico Putu speaks of his mental health having definitely failed. He says, he doesn't like being alone in Washington he describes shadows on the ceiling in my apartment there alone the shadows for. So long he also talks about how he believes that Donald Trump will end the election Mr Biden will refused to concede in that the shooting will begin. And this is perhaps the darkest part If you carry guns, he says Buy Ammunition Ladies and gentlemen because it's going to get hard to get what is he playing into those kinds of words. I think Carol in the United States right now there is a movement among Republicans specifically to talk about the protests in major cities, some of the violent clashes between very progressive people and Conservative supporters of Mr Trump, and that that has become a major focus of Republicans. Campaign to re elect the president that if trump is not reelected, the US will descend into a state of even more violence. So there is some of that playing into what? Miss Recruited. Sang at the same time these are things that he has had or maintained in private or were talking to his friends and sometimes talking to reporters for some months. But it all came together I think in the past few days with the scrutiny, not just on his words but on his actions with the CDC to all right Dan, we will leave it there. Thank you, Carol. Thank you so much for having. Dan Diamond has politicos health and politics reporter. We.

"And she puts up her hands. And so, Yeah, she was dating Robertson Nero. And what was her role in the section was in. She was in a photo like with Madonna. I think I think she's I guess I could be Googling this, but I'm not. But I'm pretty sure she's laying in a pool and it's her bottom is in the air there naked in the pool, and she's kind of in Madonna's Lapin. Is there a guy in it? There's a guy in it. So Naomi's in the pool the guys in the pool touching. In her bare butt. And then Madonna is on the side of the pool spread eagle, right And and Naomi's kind of covering a little bit. You done? Yeah, she's you know, to teach strategic in Madonna's business, so that that she was there for one of the chutes, but I mean, I remember my brother getting this book and he still hasn't Yes, he goes bum that he opened. It opened it because the book immediately fell apart it I remember that. I guess we've talked about this because Would be was like a metal binder. And it was like $50 of the time. Wraith very expensive and it fell. It fell apart, but he still has it in a little. Little flat box and sometimes he preserves dealing. These people say unbelievable The photos and I mean Madonna has been see he's Madonna. She doesn't need to be Madame X and Madame crazy and Quarantine and I'm just so disappointed that she's turned into be this This. She's just being so goofy. And I think it's because she's exhausted from having had Children for all these years. I mean, good Lord Lourdes is like 24. So Madonna has already been having kids for 24 years and one of the twins, maybe, like I feel like they've really got years left literally years left. She's cracking up. I'm just okay. But the other thing did Naomi Campbell because she was hot in the news for a while because she was throwing phones at people Irons member. She did the public service and she was out. We're in a rush. But she talked about doing the Freedom 90 video, which was the George Michael Freedom. That wasn't such an iconic video. Yes, and she said they were. "Everybody Well, I don't know what is going on with Madonna. But Holly sends me a text this morning and she's like my Madonna got censored Instagram for sharing a video. The Donald Trump had tweeted and God censored on Twitter and Junior and K J APA from Riverdale about this wack a doo doctor. I mean, a wack a doo doctor. I know. You know all about anyway, I I I just have to say this about Madonna. Oh, I can't wait right? He's not handling quarantine the way maybe other people are handling quarantine because she has been so bizarre. Well, her late night ramblings the bath on the Fourth of July, sharing Louis Farrakhan. I mean, just one of the most Racist, horrible anti Semitic people ever. And now she's this. This lady, this doctor who's just I mean it get flagged Everything. It just I don't know. Are you worried? Listen, she was Artie. This is Holly. I just don't know what? Because I'm thinking of maybe even before called Red Lorry. He was doing some very interesting things that you defend. You defend that man, Max, I'd I'd said I said, begged her. I said you don't need to be some persona. Your Madonna take up the iPad. You're just you're Madonna. And that is everything that's like being Here. You don't need to have an alternate creek. Yours, Lady Gaga. Here's where she jumped the shark. So big time when you were, I realized that he just Is desperate to be relevant when she injected the crap into her, But, yeah, I mean that but is so bad and for someone were the same age as Madonna basically Give or take 10 years. But but But to do that, at the thing, our age to need to feel like you're one of the younger people need to realize we're very worried about you. Madonna. Madonna. You're just making me sick. And you know, she woke up with a hangover this morning when she realized she tweeted something that trumpet 12 that I'm sure fight does not like him, right? I'm sure it upset her very bad, So I don't someone needs to take Madonna's phone away from her. She wanted me to make a statement. Though, about that and saying I'm an idiot. I don't know what I was doing Just just something because she just looks like such a lost all faith in ER No, I haven't. But I disappointed around too many Children and her young boyfriend can't be good for the med is around. Kids know she's around too many. Yes, people. And that and ego takes over with the filthy Philly when you are so isolated from anybody who can say no, You're wrong. Well, that might be something she has in common with Trump. Yes. Okay. Grants fair. So they both burn natter on people who can say no. You know, this is a bad idea. And then my Riverdale, Archie, you know, he posted the same thing. People sometimes just go pass along something and they don't actually watch it themselves or, well, that's just stupid. They don't have that many followers on my that much of a platform. My mom is like, I better be able to get my hydroxy Clark because my mom takes it for rheumatoid arthritis, I guess right? And I said, Mom, don't worry. You get to try care. I've I have faith that they're going to do it. But so anyway, so Madonna comes up last night because Andy Cohen has Naomi Campbell as just his solo guests on watch. What happens live in Sheas model? Yeah, she actually gives good. Really good couch. He did not ask her anything about Jeffrey Epstein. You know, because she does show up in filthy rich photos. Yeah, yeah, she moved in, but we've known about her. He's had the oligarchs, the Russian oligarch. I mean, she's always moved in a interesting international circle. Yes, Julia, she realize Oh, he said, the oligarchs right and a lot of people were at parties. That Jeffrey Epstein's Manhattan mansion or Florida or whatever, so and he didn't ask her anything about that. But he did ask Naomi Campbell about the Madonna sex book, which Madonna this's back in what year 91 or what year We are handy to get you to guess, and she Was in that, and she also later ended up suing the mirror across the pond, and she won the first privacy case. Because it was a groundbreaking because they published a photo of her leaving a drug rehab counseling place her and they said she the Mirror said that she was going there because she was so ashamed of being in the Madonna Bork. And just pure speculation, right? But it was privacy because they were also the outing her on that and then she took him to court because she's like I'm a model and everything I've ever done. I wanted to do. But here's what Andy got from her cocaine in the Madonna board. Naomi. No. LK wants to know your favorite memory of working with Madonna on her sex book. My favorite. Manley was awesome. The whole damn. It was a quiet one night. The photographer the shop, The sex book with Stephen myself, always break quite when I worked in Stephen and I was even more quiet on that shoot because I didn't know who wanted me there and how I got there. But I was there and really quiet because I told my boyfriend I was doing catalog. My boyfriend at the time was not having it. Who was your boyfriend? At the time he was an actor. Tell us, right? I think who it wass. At the time when I did sex book, it was love it, and I told him you were going to do catalog now. He had found out he had to have found out that you did it. Were you still together when the sex book When I came out? I remember hiding the book hiding finding it, but it was found I mean, he had to have found out. Yes. Maybe someone told him might remember. But yeah, he said it was one thing here. We get one thing seeing the pictures. I mean, my kitchen's one that still I mean, my grandmother wasn't true, either. I have to assume to Nero found in the book. I mean, She puts up her hands. And so, Yeah, she was dating Robert De Niro. And what was her role in the section was in. She was in a photo like with Madonna. I think I think she's I guess I could be Googling this, but I'm not.
