"Yes i am. Listening you ryan. Minor town weather has made it very very clear that if you missed ten games because somebody falls into your knee you can't be. Mvp you they talk about now when it's neck and neck race you can't nope nope top twos is remarkable. Because this is this is honestly the most obtuse argument you could make your your distilling this entire thing down to joel. Had one unfortunate thing happen so therefore he got screwed and this is an embarrassment. I frankly very angry. They are acting like this. Is an embarrassment annoyingly. Insensitive and understand it. It's this is just this. None of this makes any sense to me. Well i hungry angry my media brethren. That's what i'm angry at. I'm not angry at anything else. I i is yoga. Twins the mvp he absolutely deserves. That is not my that is not my position. My position is gonna get away with that crap. You're not going to because this entire time. You are you keep saying. Oh well it's not. It's not a big deal. If yogi twins he deserves to win. But everybody's goddamn moron for not voting to well. I got so wait a minute saying that they are that they're voting yokich ninety five to five or was it ninety two nine five ninety five because yokich is that much better than in beat. You just see that. I hate that argument first of all look. It's not you're not putting weight on your vote. You're not saying well. The i vote him ninety. I give him ninety percent of the vote and him fiber no dude. If ninety people agree it's not like they're all saying this is just An absolute no brainer blow out. Even though i think it is but i got ninety votes because ninety people think he's the mvp ninety people agree. They're not that's not a weight thing they're not saying. You know. this is a really strong first place. Vote is just ninety. People agree last year was eighty five to sixteen in the final vote. If if this was seventy five to twenty five would you be sitting here stopping your feet saying how dare people vote for yokich saying embiid was leading yokich at the last straw poll and then five for five more first place votes and then he got hurt and he knows at the time yet. You're acting like that's not significant amount of time. It's been weeks since then. He's missed three of them. And lebron has missed like five of them or whatever or easy now gone out if the races a result. Yeah well it's not the same 'cause using beat his back. Dominating games leading seem to big wins. They listen. They held off the long island last night. That was impressive. As i said at the beginning of all of us here. You're the one who's disrespecting people. Because i think joel has been great but i also think it matters that he's missed a third of the season and you could say that's a nonsensical argument that i'm an idiot for thinking that way. And i'm one of these media brethren who's too goddamn stupid to look at the situation and see how this goes and that's fine. You can say that if you want but at the end of the day it's award is who's the most valuable player in the league. And i think when one guy has not played half the minutes as teams played this season and the other guy has played seventy five percent of minutes and is having an all time great season. i think. He's a more than deserving i vote for. Mvp triple doesn't last night and blowout win over the heat without jamal. Murray yoke is just keeps on rolling. Yokich is a great player and a worthy mvp. I'll say for the fifth time. I'm telling you good that a worthy mvp drawl. He'll have ninety one first place votes because he just got yours. Let's move on when running a business. Hr issues can kill you. Wrongful termination suits minimum wage requirements labor regulations. An hr manager salaries aren't cheap an average of seventy thousand dollars a year. Bambi spelled b..

"What did i say. I said that the door was opened for wallaby to win this award. Despite the fact that brian james was on top because if he could say healthy i thought he was going to have the narrative behind him and being strong position win. Now you right ryan that it is not join beach fault that he got hurt. That was a very unfortunate thing. And i'm glad that he's back playing because when he first got hurt you thought the season was over. I thought seasons zone. So i'm glad to even having this discussion that being said in the history of this award you know how many times a player has missed more than ten games and won the mvp and that season talk to talk to him twice. How many played seventy two games One shortened season lyon also so he's missing large teams that hold on one. Time was in nineteen seventy eight with bill walton. One when he played fifty eight games. The other time was when out. Iverson played seventy one games. The two thousand one. So other than bill walton would in a fluke gear in seventy eight every other. Mvp winner has played at least eighty six percent of the games that season okay and ironically through the last three years have included three of the next five guys jaanus times and hardened because guys are missing more games. Now those guys still played over eighty six percent of the games. If you wanna be plays every single gain the rest of the season. He'll played seventy five percent of the games. Yokich has played on a percent of the games. Yokich has played seventy five percent of his team's minutes. Dwell has played forty five percent of his team's minutes on the court. This season he has played in half of the potential minutes. He'd be on the court with his team. Now i am not saying that in a vacuum that she just wipe him off the board and he has no chance of winning. I think you've voting for joel in the brian is perfectly valid. I thought about voting form. So because he's been awesome when he's been on the court they don't play ask. Don't play basketball in a vacuum. If they did it would really suck well. That pinks as you pointed out in an interview. This week that i listened to lebron is always said that the greatest of the grace ability a player can have is being able to his teammates. And something you take pride in. And i think it's been one of the great hallmarks of his career that he's played a gazillion minutes. Basically never gotten hurt. And i think in this season when everybody is hurt i think it is noteworthy. That the guy who's winning is the guy who is in her and you can say that well. It should work that way. But i also do think the guy who is healthy deserves credit for coming back and being healthy after playing into the conference finals last year and playing an immense burden in the playoffs and coming back and being a credible this season when the nuggets had michael porter jr. out with calvin and have had a bunch of guys injured and got through all these different variations of their team. So i certainly think that yokich being on the court is part of his case. Now i think that and being not being on the court does have to factor into whether he wins the order. Not and you talk about him not playing these back to back. It isn't a big deal like it is a big deal that yokich can play every game and it'd be can doesn't it it shouldn't it's not fair necessarily but we're not like in the realm of fair them here also like also twenty six eleven and nine on shooting splits of fifty six forty two eighty five. I mean about yokich like let's not let's not act like this is just some kind of participation. Vote for your. that's okay. First of all that's right. The desktop up every single night over. Listen but brian tiebreaker. Last the last the last time we did this all. It was a three way race. Basically between brian joel and yokich right basically tied and two of the guys have had significant injuries. One of them hasn't so it should it really be a shock that the one guy who was in a three way tie basically for i and i didn't get hurt is winning by a lot. Here's what i know in two thousand seventeen. I voted for dwelling beat for rookie of the year. He played thirty one games because he was the best rookie. And because nicola yokich one up twenty six eleven and nine as a rookie that season it was. It was malcolm brogdon. I mean it's it's offer. I voted voted. I voted for brogden that year because he played a whatever billion more games. A played like six hundred minutes but rookie brodie. Somebody rookie of the year on that credit on that criteria is perfectly reasonable. I don't have an issue with that. And like i said. I am your voting for and be. I was wrong. I think what you're acting like people who already had yokich in a three way tie basically for i and frankly if you remember as i said at the time i did that straw. Poll right after the lakers beat the nuggets on national tv on thursday night. And i did it over that weekend. Just like i did it over this weekend. I think if i'd done that poll a week later a week earlier yoga's might have been winning that anyway. I'm saying that i saw what i saw. And i saw the rookie of the year that year. Okay and i'm saying i saw i've seen what i've seen this year right. I guess i guess that point is just in terms of the man. I just just to clarify just in terms of pure dominant saying malcolm brogden versus joel embiid in terms of just the i forget about games played was anywhere comparable to nicole yokich versus joel embiid. Because we're but we're not talking. We're not comparing joel. Embiid the nikola yokich that absolutely are we all are networked. Telling you is it. Close games played. The same games. Played aren't close voting. I'm tell us what i'm telling you. I want to have the debate between yokich and beat. But that's not the debate. That's happening that brian. Look i think the thing that's part argue here is that you keep saying nicole. Yokich is a deserving. Mvp candidate but at the same time. You're arguing pretty seriously. That should be the mvp and that not what. I'm arguing all on hold on. You are arguing that because you're this you're this wound up about the fact that the vote is this wide and you're basically saying people are counting injuries as too much of a factor in the race. What i what i would say to you is. He had one injury that cost him ten games. Brian and he's got a ninety five percent on a second hold on a second first of all he had one injury that cost some ten games. He also missed several of those other games with injuries of some kind nagging. Things forced them to.
What Should the Atlanta Falcons Do With the 4th Pick?
"Talk about another quarterback order player Who people these days. Certainly no. and that's matt ryan about that for a transition Terrific quarterback for very long time. 2016 was his best year was the mvp of the league with the falcons and took that team all the way to the super bowl and then from that point forward it has been sued of a steady decline for the team despite making the postseason in two thousand seventeen. They've won just eighteen games over the last three years and with that regression the falcons might hit the reset button in this draft with ryan being almost thirty six. They have a new head coach. And arthur smith they have the fourth pick. Overall general manager is teri faulk no and he said quote. We wanna stack good quarterbacks. Its prime time to do it. When you have a player like matt ryan because when you can get in the white quarterback you don't have that pressure play them right away so it opens up so many possibilities and we have to make sure we're evaluating those positions and we feel good about what we where we are there a lot of different ways to take that it certainly what i would say if among other things i wanted someone to come and try and trade for my fourth pick in this draft so teddy. I'm giving it to you directly here if you were the falcons right now. Are you looking to bring in players to help matt ryan try and win a championship again or are you looking to draft his eventual replacement. Said like i said about the smokescreen season. There you go right there you make everyone think that you're okay with draft a quarterback in developing under matt ryan. But you gotta take advantage of the quarterback desperation which is in this draft and everyone one maybe sneak up if they're guy falls to four and go ahead and get him because i think they should build and they need to usually head coaches come in. And they'll want to stack pile not quarterbacks but draft picks in terms of building a foundation model for their team so i would say definitely take advantage of the fourth overall pick trade down. Try to see if you can get some building.

"And james harden lead russell westbrook in the final straw poll. Right about this exact. This much time left in the season but hard only had half of the mvp votes that year and westbrook had a quarter of plus and only about one hundred fifty points behind and the there was a huge shift down the stretch. We westbrook getting that. Mvp that allowed him to flit. Sort of flip the result basically from where it wasn't as to where it was at the end but to me that the significant difference there is that the margin was dramatically smaller and west meaning. We're talking about no. Go ahead while i was going to say that you talk about the narrative shift west. Obviously that was hit the triple double record breaking season. I covered the the road trip where he broke the record and the game that he did it was when He gets a shot. Not only the shot but is like a thirteen point comeback in the last five minutes. He scored every single point. He hits though whatever was thirty. Five foot shot at the buzzer to beat him. It's a fifty point game. It was like if there's ever an mvp moment it was that. I mean that was the only time i've ever seen a guy. Hit a buzzer beater to eliminate the home team from playoff contention and get a standing ovation and deserve. No but the bigger and you're right about all that. The bigger point is that it was a it was one hundred thirty point margin and a twenty five vote margin in first place votes that had to be made up. Yeah angel mois made it up for email. Sent to media members lobbying packard. That's right but it was. That was a really close vote all the way through. That flipped at the end. This is not a very close vote. And that's the thing. I want to stress like yokich is blowing away the field so even if even if there is momentum joel embiid direction over the next month which i think are very well could be i. It's hard for me to see short of yokich getting hurt. Who by the way. He's played every game. I never got yokich. Mrs three games. He won't get a vote. Because right now because i twisted knee you better you twist to knee all right before you start whining and beedon three gigs. Joost weeks all right. Hold on both before you start winding brian. Make your case. And the now refute it with that say one cent. My case for joe might. My frustration. Here is not that yokich is winning. Yokich is indeed having a spectacular. Your although let me just say as an aside pudding historic around this season when it comes to offensive numbers needs to be suspended the offensive numbers. This year are preposterous. This is far and away. The most out of control offense of season history. There's about ten different reasons for it. Numbers on by the same applies to everybody including although that's fine that's fine. I'm just saying though. I have no problem nico yokich winning the ep. What i have a problem with is the voters who i count on to have some perspective. I don't have that much belief in the voters in perspective. But i do count on them. More than some guy. On twitter sending wild tweets out forgetting what happened fifteen minutes ago much less two days ago. Joel embiid has had one injury this year and it cost him ten games. Okay he yes. He has other games where he takes back to backs off but he only missed consecutive games one time and that was when he had the the freak injury the almost beyond his knee and he just ten games okay hara and look at his performances in big games than i am. It's not an exhaustive list. I'm just going to go back to early. February against brooklyn thirty three and nine at phoenix. Thirty five an eight utah. Forty and nineteen. He missed the first utah game But the second utah game. Forty in nineteen Let's see here at boston a few weeks ago. Thirty five at brooklyn home against brooklyn last night thirty nine thirteen. I know it wasn't the most efficient performance. They have the number two defense in the league of which he is a key centerpiece to i know. He's missed a number of games but in the season especially where everybody is hurt you either you watch a performance you say this guy. Is you evaluate performance. You don't sit there and count. One of the things is insane to me. Is that steph curry. Who is probably the hottest he's ever been in his career and his putting up absolutely breathtaking games. Night in and night out steph. Curry is a reason right now to stay awake because my god the guy might have seventy. He had forty three and three quarters. Last night he was going to break the three point shooting record. I say last night. I met wednesday night. He's going to break the all time game. Three point shooting record but they were playing the thunder and the up by forty and so Benched him guys. he was twelfth. He's on five ballots. Well he's also ninth-place lesson place to live and i know what they'd be they'd be three games back of the freaking sixers in the eastern conference If they're in the eastern conference standings so slightly like some drastic difference there also hey read me embiid stats in the two meetings against the nuggets season. Oh he sat out both of them. Availability is part of value. Sorry one of the game. He was injured. He was just he was out. He got hit in the knee. Eight and one dude. Is brian eighteen more games. There's not much okay. Baso ninety two five would indicate all right so here so here here. We're gonna come with some data now now. Listen i'll let me start with this. I think joel embiid has been the nba's most dominant player this season. I think what he's been on the court like per minute i think he's been the most dominant player in the league. And you could argue. Certainly that he's the most valuable player in the league and the last time i did this straw back in february..
Dodgers Home Opener Was One to Remember
"Somali. Friday was the home opener for the dodgers and they finally got to celebrate their world series title with their home fans inside los angeles is best known. Cova testing vaccination site a dodger stadium. You're there for the home opener on friday. What stood out to you about the festivities so the ceremony itself was kind of strange. The dodgers definitely do pomp and circumstance. Like nobody else. There's like this. Hollywood pressure to make super exciting and over the top today. We're gonna share some messages that have been recorded for the dodgers by some of the grades to the game. They had asked dodger players who were on the team last year to tell them who their favorite baseball player was growing up and then they went and got that player that former player to record a message a congratulatory message to that guy clayton clark here while what an unbelievable journey. It's been thinking kershaw's been he's from texas. He grew up worshipping. Clark number twenty two clark. So that made a lot of sensible apart congratulating him thirteen years in l. Mvp songs all star game appearances and now a world series ring. What an unbelievable career you've had so far young man recorded of mental. Julio reaction bradley. Leonard man beacon me Fan viewers and he kind of chided. Mookie betts for not picking hamper. A-rod was up there congratulating. Someone and got booed. I was super entertained because it was really awkward but the players seemed excited about it. So there you have it.
Fresh update on "mvp" discussed on The Hoop Collective
"Hello welcome to the hoop collective podcast. We talk about the nba which we are doing on thursday morning eastern time. Joining me from boston. Massachusetts is tim. Bontemps is joining us from dallas texas. Where they played. The game wasn't in dallas last night. It was in memphis in memphis but they were celebrating in dallas. Luca hit that. Shot is banned mcmahon. Howdy partners we'll get to luca and the mavericks later found out this morning as in thursday morning All our wonderful listeners will catch this later. But if you haven't seen it you should go look at it is tim. Bontemps latest straw poll for the mvp now. Before i hand him over to tell us the results i. This is one of the most important things that tim does every year. Now team probably like oh great all the other stories that i worked so hard on i was gonna say one of the only important thing. Go on What's important to realize about this. Poll is it number one. Tim talks to the actual voters. This is not going to go out there and talk to ten people on the street. This is not talked to only the media in boston It looks like you talk to one hundred and one voters here likely voters. We don't know one hundred percent who the voters will be the nba voters and and other media members who would be vote candidates for example. Yes and he talks to them across the country and you talk to. Tim tucked. people will have internet because there's a selection of international journalists who get votes right. Yeah it's too but at least two people from every market and it's a. I think i think i had eight or nine overseas stern. Also which is how the league. I was put together. What i'm trying to point out here is. This is a very telling poll How many years doing on you did this at the at the washington post is while the last five years enron okay and my credit saying that the the track record of this thing especially this late season poll has been very accurate. I it has been with one exception. Which i'll get to when i talk about this. Okay so i'm setting up the point. That and i'm gonna say that even before. Israel's results pretty surprised by the results I have even arguing when he told me what they were complaining. He's like to say this is what the poll says. No tell bontemps as windy. We told you so. We told you this last week. You're right at is correct in yours. And my god. Are you right so bombs go ahead after after that hundred action which i appreciate so Nicole yokich is the very heavy favourite to win the mvp based off this ball. He got ninety ninety one hundred one first place votes yet. Nine hundred sixty nine total points and this. This formula is the same. Voting formula in terms of the number of voters and brian said the basic makeup of the voters also Pow the points of tabulate. It's all the same as the actual. Mvp race the nba or the nba. Mvp vote that the nba does after the season and yoga has nine hundred sixty nine points in. Typically there's somebody in second place somewhere around seven hundred and fifty points every year give or take a few on either side second joel embiid with four hundred one points which is a sign. Both of How big of lead yoga. Chaz and how muddled this field has been because of injuries because everybody who comes after him. Now you've got embiid second yasser group third mb. Yes to just just to be clear. I think this is this. A good one said yokich has ninety first place votes. Embiid has five. It's ninety i mean. The points are fine. If i it's ninety the five right and in total votes yokich is the only one who was on every ballot and it was on the next ballots with eighty to that which again surprise which he won't be here totally off about or nineteen years. Well here's the thing right. The injury that the story the real story of this poll is that the injuries. This season have completely altered the race in a dramatic way which is obvious but it's even more. It's really obvious when you look at this like you. I thought coming into this. Poll that nicole yoga to be ahead both because he's having one of the all-time great seasons anyone's had a statistically and denver's played a lot better and he's been healthy. I didn't think he'd be winning by a record amount in this poll which she is. I've never have never done. One of these are. Somebody's been up by this much. In any respect at this point in the season and the reason why mainly because he's injuries because again the the last one we get in february yokich embiid and lebron were all super bunch together. Kevin durant was fourth eating a single vote. This tax basically hasn't played since then. James harden i think would have gotten a lot more votes. He hurt his hamstring. A couple of weeks ago. He's got knocked off the map. Your damian lillard has been banged up lately. Struggled janas past six games with a knee injury. He missed six games. You're right out of the mvp of yuba six whole gains. You're done oleander man olam again. I got plenty of data to knock on our boy for his or is not settled for it but so look that that was the biggest takeaway to me is that i thought i thought yoga ahead and i thought would be within striking distance. I don't think there's i think there's basically no chance that he can lose this race now. Barring him getting hurt. I know jamal murray just got hurt. I know that's gonna probably set denver back a little bit in the standings. But i don't see. Mvp voter saying well. Jamal murray got hurt. Somebody doc nickel yokich for that. And i think short of that like the one example that i referenced was in twenty seventeen the first year i did this whole Was also the year that was probably the most competitive and race in recent memory when you had russell westbrook james harden lebron and kawhi leonard all have.

Embiid Leads Philadelphia Sixers To Season Series Sweep Of Boston Celtics
"What's up. Everybody i wish. I love something as much as joel. Embiid loves playing against the celtics and this one wasn't fair. Boston left themselves shorthanded at center by trading daniel thais at the deadline and then combined with tristan thompson being injured lots a terrible combination with joel. Embiid come into town. They only had one guy who could guard him. And that was young time. Lord robert williams who did a decent job in the first quarter is a one point game after one but williams is known to be a little jumpy. He couldn't stay disciplined long enough. He picked up his third foul right at the end of the first then they had luc. Cornet come in to guard. Joel and beat boston wants to give luc cornet nickname. Let's slow the flow on giving nicknames to just everybody brad stevens left luc cornet out there. On an island with the mvp candidate some soft doubles. That wasn't enough. Went from a one point game to thirteen point game at half the celtics us break glass in case of emergency seven five taco fall and embiid way too late and be loves playing the celtics. Did i say that already. He had thirty five to seventy sixers. Swept the season series from the celtics for the first time in twenty years joel embiid and weighed more. Free throws than the celtics in the season series. Forty seven to forty
Doncic’s 31 Points Lead Dallas Mavericks Over Jazz
"Utah. Dallas luka doncic. Talking about those guys would pay to see well hill win and mvp down the road this one season. It's not it. He started slowly and his team suffered because of it but the mavs have won five straight. They're two games. Back from the sixty they toppled a jazz team. That couldn't hit a three and that was part of it for sure. They're kind of like the nuggets mavericks. Our team started slow. And here they come. They found her identity. A little bit without kristaps porzingis. Who was sitting this one out. They beat those utah jazz. It was an off night for you to snapping their streak. That's fine they can have can have an off night.
Will Aaron Rodgers finish his career in Green Bay?
"Good morning. Thanks for joining us. Get right to it when it comes to aaron rodgers and that whole story. So is it likely that aaron rodgers finishes his career in green bay. Or how likely is it. I would say more likely than not. He won't again. You just look at it and look how these quarterback situations have played out. Did peyton manning finish indianapolis. No tom brady finish in new england. No did the green bay packers draft a quarterback in the first round last year. Not only do they draft quarterback in the first round last year but they traded up to draft a quarterback in the first round last year and orlando roger didn't response. That was go out and win the mvp this year but again there are issues between the two sides and you heard him address it after they lost to tampa in the playoffs. And you heard address it with kenny. Mayne on sportscenter over the weekend. He certainly didn't sound like a guy who was committed to finishing his career. Green bay and. I don't think that it is all decision. That also is the decision of the organization that i emphasize traded up to go get a quarterback in the first round last year. No i don't think finish
Discussing the Philadelphia Eagles' overpay for Joe Flacco
"We even get started on joe flacco. I don't mean to take a dump. All over. Joe flacco good career. You want super bowl. Mvp and ninety eight seventy seven career records. Who's not some like garbage. You know scrub quarterback was never good and he doesn't deserve to be mocked and good for him for getting the deal that he got personally. I think he is agent. Did a good job. i guess trying to There's reportedly that the forty niners were also involved. And maybe that's why he got what he got with the eagles which i mean. The eagles shouldn't have cared. If there's other teams involved should have just passed the number. I but anyway it's been a long way. It's been a long way since. Joe flacco was even remotely close to being a desirable quarterback last six years and twenty six and thirty seven record a combined. Six point four yards per attempt over that six years fan six point four yards per attempt over six year span is not good last two years. Where the only two years he spent away from baltimore signed a one year deal in denver. You went to and four. They're moved onto the jets. Last season went owen for completion percentage in front of me with his fifty five percent or something like that point to and he had a qb rating. I think of like eighty point. Two eighty eight eighty twenty and then. I didn't have this but in your post on him. You had noted and grain of salt here but of course you had noted that Pro football focus had him as the second worst rated quarterback in the nfl last year.

Philadelphia Eagles Sign Super Bowl 47 MVP Joe Flacco
"Big news coming out of philly. Yesterday joe flacco agreeing to a contract with the eagles. It's a one year deal. Three and a half million dollars. Guaranteed the opportunity to win. Four million more in incentives. Now what does this mean. As far as the eagles and their draft plans remember. They only have one quarterback on the roster until this and that's jalen hurts and they have the six pick in the draft and as you see mel kiper junior and his latest mock has been taking the superstar receiver tamar chase from lsu which would be awfully knife or any quarterback that they have there but so does this mean mel again. It is not your expectation mel with us field. Yates as well here today. It does this mean and again. You're you're mock has them taking chase anyway but the signing flacco does that in your view. Close the door on any possibility that they draft a quarterback at number six. I think they would even going in before flacco. You think about. Joe flacco wise ian eagle thinking about the baltimore raven connection with the philadelphia eagles. Joe douglas and joe flacco who drafted where the want super bowl with the baltimore ravens. So there's that always that connection you can always go to. Guys are picked up later in their career. So for joe. Douglas bringing in a joe flacco you think about what he was doing with the jets in terms of the situation there. And then you've got the philadelphia eagles their same type of thing that raven connections. So i think when you look backing up jalen hurts right now. I don't think he's a threat. I think jalen that guy get jomar chase and go four with him and help jalen hurts and then reassess after the year's over that's what they will do that influence with the raven organization in philadelphia as a factor. I think it's a factor throughout the green and there always is joe. Flacco is a good backup came in the league. Same your matt ryan did and that ryan slow playing great football of course super bowl but Joe flacco did. But i think it's a good situation to have joe flacco there behind. The jalen hurts. Jalen hurts gets hurt. Your season's not over joke and still play. But i think this is jalen team right now. I thought it was carson wentz's team that didn't work out. But i think if you get your march help jalen hurts and then you make your decision air to this year whether in the twenty twenty two draft you have to think about drafting. A young quarterback failed. Same question to you. Does this mean in your mind that the eagles are out of the quarterback market at six. It does not greedy in. Here's a simple reason. Why i agree with everything else that i'm going to double back to that in just a moment. I just have long believed that if you are convinced. A player can be a franchise quarterback that if he's available at six. You have to at least consider it. If you're philadelphia. Now that being said all the indications this offseason from the previous reporting from more about the eagles plan to build around jalen hurts this year plus the signing of joe flacco which at least gives them a veteran option at the very least relatively modest priced by the way three point five million dollars. There are so many signs at the plan. This year is to find ways to make jalen hurts better so i still believe that ultimately the eagles are gonna be in prime position to land one of the best pass catchers in this year's draft a quarterback should not be entirely ruled out. And that's just me having seen the league long enough to know that sometimes teams do things the catch us by surprise even if they should not have caught us by surprise
AstraZeneca may have "included outdated information" in COVID-19 vaccine trial report
"There have been questions about data from astrazeneca's covid nineteen vaccine a federal group called the data safety monitoring board or dsm dmv is tracking the companies us. Covid vaccine study astrazeneca said. Yesterday its vaccine was seventy nine percent effective against cova disease. Npr's joe palca says that triggered fresh questions about the vaccines effectiveness. The trouble is that the dsa mvp said. Whoa hold on a second. That's not what we saw. And they put out a statement or at least the national institute of allergy and infectious disease. Put out a statement quoting the as saying we express concern that astrazeneca may have included outdated information from that trial which may have provided an incomplete view of the efficacy data. Astrazeneca says it will provide fresh data to the dsm. Be within forty eight
Top 10 players signed by Patriots
"Talk about the Patriots. The the Patriots grabbed everybody's attention by making move after move after move after move. Like we're watching it over agency going off. How many people are going to bring in its kind of unbelievable how many starters they've added? And so I count they added ten players that I think are very very significant to their team next year. In fact, I would say pretty clearly the Patriots are back and a lot of people saw this coming, you know, but they are going to be a force in the NFL next year here is my list my nerdy list of the ten players the top players. They added that are very significant to their roster next year. The first two are massive. It will reshape the entire Patriots offense. They added two tight ends Johnny Smith and Ed Hunter Henry. To Johnny Smith signed from Tennessee. He signed a four year deal worth up to fifty million dollars. That's Thirty one point two five million dollars guaranteed and he's only twenty-four years old. So that's Monday. That's a really gigantic Marquis franchise player. He cited the reason why it came to New England is cuz he loves Bill Belichick. He's got great respect for him. And I want to point out of all the everybody I'm about to talk about these shows to be in New England Bill Belichick got his kind of guys who sought out New England wanted to be there and wanted to work hard and win a Superbowl. I think it matters. It's very very exciting. These are not with Josh Gordon's or what's the other example Phillip Dorsett who they made a move for and they're not really like that. You think they fit they don't work out know. These are guys who all chose to be in New England who wanted to win a Superbowl. I really want to win a Superbowl. These guys went out of their way to be New England now the other tight and they brought in With twenty-six-year-old tight end Hunter Henry from the LA Chargers got a three-year deal twenty-five million dollars guaranteed. It's worth up to thirty seven point five million dollars total if he meets all those incentives. They also added two wide receivers the Patriots brought in Nelson agholor to a you got a two year twenty six million dollar contract East twelve years old. Now a lot of people do not like this move and I I get it Nelson agholor is not the most flashy player in the NFL but I think if it's very well with Cam Newton, he's good at he's not going up and getting the ball. He's got good hands did some stuff of the Raiders that I think deserves your attention go watch what he did with the Raiders and I just I'm like, huh a lot of good plays. Okay. I understand. I see the potential Bill Belichick and the Patriots would see and Nelson agholor go will give the guy a good contract, especially considering the Patriots have like our desolate at wide receiver. They need help. They got home. Who is awesome but he can't do everything by himself from the slot. They have n'keal Harry who n'keal Harry. I I think he's going to pop. I think he's going to progress and keep getting better. But she's not a number one right now. So on top of the page where it's also added Kendrick Bourne guy from my local area actually went to Eastern Washington University 25 years old. He's coming from the San Francisco 49ers. He got a three year deal worth twenty two point five million dollars. Now another thing the Patriots did they also added they signed Center Ted carriages and they traded for tackle Trent Brown. So this is the new Patriots offense right now. They've receivers Nelson agholor, Julian Edelman Kendrick born and kill hair is its own nuclear Aguilera. I'm doing my best. It's a hard game to say. They also have Sony Michelle running backs for any receivers Sony Michelle at running back and improved offensive line. Cam Newton at quarterback who I get why people doubt Cam? He's a former NFL MVP and with when you put cams Talent with a lot of weapons including two outstanding tight ends Hunter Henry Smith, right man. I'll tell you what I look at the Patriots offense and think two things immediately number one. Everything is going to run through their brand new Titans. Their entire offense now is probably going to drive down the seams of the field right up the middle. They're going to use our tents heavily lot of play-action again. I am scheme wise things will look a lot like the page words did back in the day when they had drunk and Aaron Hernandez together to start tight ends. Now number two. I feel very very confident with Cam Newton as the Patriots quarterback and it surprised me but I want to remind you that two years ago. Tom Brady was the page word starting quarterback and did basically nothing and the reason was there were no weapons there. He kept running into the same brick wall. His receivers weren't good enough. So, how can I think you and I would both agree. I like Cam Newton Tom Brady's a better quarterback than Cam Newton. So my point is if Tom Brady couldn't make it work with New England's roster. How was Cam Newton supposed to succeed? He was set up to fail will now Cam Newton's being given weapons is being set up to do. Well, I'm excited man. He's a former NFL MVP, he's hungry. I I personally believe Cam Newton's going to have an awesome year and it really is going to make extended one-year deal with like it was like three and a half million dollars with a bunch of incentives. I honestly think we're gonna look back at his contract at the end of next year and go. Can you believe the deal they got on Camden he played so well for no money. I really think he's he's a guy who can didn't play well enough wage. Last year to earn a new gigantic contract. So he's going to have to show what he can do this year and maybe earn more money next year but I think cam is poised to do very very well and make a lot of money and win a lot of games in New England
Does Lebron James Deserve More MVP Awards?
"Let me tell you what. Lebron james is notorious for a other than skipping town. Go to another team other than that you know what. He's famous for taking his foot off the gas to a regular seasons when he went back to cleveland. You remember that he was like i don't mean to have the number one seed. I don't need to kill myself during the regular season. that's why he didn't win. Mvp's he undersea deserve to have more last year. Janas was the mvp unwanted convincingly and overwhelmingly. Why bernie 'cause the year before. John is wanted and lashio. Jonah's had better numbers than the year before. And the milwaukee bucks had the best record in the nba. Lebron james was really shocked because he had some false narrative going on that he was the mvp. Come on bernie has some humility. You don't have to do that. Politics will knock it you an. Mvp saying goes true. Greatness needs no self promotion. And we've talked about this probably at least once in every show we've done robin that is lebron is incredibly insecure about his legacy. If he's really the king what is he. Allow these things to get under his skin. He did it last. September when he lost out on the mvp then he says well. What really pisses me off. Allie got sixteen votes out of. That's what really pisses me up. Look if you want to continue to die in this hill lebron. You're going to continue to be seen as petty and al kuzina says the mvp's very political award. Yeah so is the mvp and major league baseball in the nfl. Probably the nhl and the heisman trophy right on down the line. Linda brown goes on to say. I don't sit around thinking about it or crying about it. That's what he just said that's all. He does time even when they won the championship last year and i gave him top credit. Lebron fan never will be better given top credit. Because the lakers are a franchise of eras you had to wilt air the jabbar air the magic the kobe and shaq era negative lebron air to win a championship and when he did the first thing he does say i want my damn respect do what he. What are you constantly begging for. What exactly is it. What happened in because you know why bernie it tells you all you need to know. He knows deep down. He's not the best player all time he knows his michael jordan. That's why it's always looking for these other things to add to his resume. That's why he he wants an mvp and you know what he sees now. He seems j. He sees james harden in brooklyn without a kevin durant and they've won fourteen out of fifteen or whatever the number is bernie and and he's looking going and when a went out to lakers stumbled he's not going to win the
Should LeBron James have more MVP awards? Yes, but it's complicated
"All right fellas. Let's keep moving here. Big baller brand versus the king. Wanna talk about this game last night so lamelo basically saying to us. I mentioned this yesterday. That it's just another game playing lebron and as for lebron. It was just another day in the office. Thirty seven eighty six became then talked about a potential fifth. Mvp award lebron running or here my name of some of the best basketball players in the league this year again. it would mean a lot At my age What i'm able to do what i've been doing this whole season You know what our brains at a table every single night on both sides of the floor. it would mean a unbelievable thing for me personally. Is my career so to see what a chips may. Kyle kuzma reiterating. That sediment saying you should want eight or nine guys. We haven't had this conversation in a while. The last time i asked you max i think you had. Joel embiid as your guy. So where are you now. Who do you think's the biggest threat to lebron for. Mvp i used to be very clear. Lebron's the mvp. This moment and beat has now missed too much time. And he's presently hurt. Lebron is the mvp of the league at this moment. The easy answer to who's the biggest threat is james harden. He's playing the best basketball of his career. And that's really saying something and kyrie's been great and have been other great james harden you watch him now. You're watching basketball. Genius like the combination of scoring from anywhere on the floor at historically elite levels combined with the kind of court vision and unselfishness and setting up his teammates that he has shown in brooklyn in the service of winning has been remarkable however pardon also miss time in the beginning of the season because he won on the team. He's on the rockets and he was forcing his way off the rockets. So let me make a suggestion here. I considered yokich best offensive player in the league this year. I think stephen the biggest threat to lebron james. Mvp is damian. Lillard damian lillard a man that you have sat up here right in that spot and apologized to on. I take on this show for ignoring we. We all know him in apology. Dropped thirty six last night. Is he has a colt. Euro kind of status in the nba. Everyone loves this guy used the most clutch player in the league. That is you nets like unanimous consensus that please if not most clutch player damian lillard. He's averaging thirty points a night with assist everything you want. He has taken team decimated by injury destroyed by injury no mccollum until recently and their fourth in the western conference the fourth best record tied for fourth best in the western conference. He's the sentimental favourite. He's playing mvp level. He's shown leadership we all know he has not been recognized. Enough hardens miss time with his team and beads now hurt that you look at each candidate on other teams and lillard is at least as good as any of them. I think he's the biggest lebron's the mvp lillard is biggest threat.
Philadelphia Sixers Blow 19-Point Lead In 109-105 Overtime Loss To Milwaukee Bucks
"Nine sixers one five in overtime how this game overtime layup. Instead of dribbling out it could've taken that one yard bought david chen losing it on defense but in overtime it was y- honest and it was johnny sitting on the sixers courts. Ramona you have a problem with sitting down on the sixers four. Oh i've never seen before and this is a nice. Is it nice. Move like the bucks are kind of disregarding team in the eastern conference even though they ran away with it but like the last seven points or you want to run to close the game so i think for is go ahead and sit on the court take arrest degree breather and i did kind of his tweet at the end of the gate where he said like. Sit back and enjoy the show. If anybody's fans should appreciate that. It is joel. Embiid philadelphia seventy sixers fan. Cal shaw the only thing i have a problem with is celebrating beating philadelphia without their. Mvp candidate with him sitting over on the bench in street clothes. It's just you know. Would philadelphia be celebrating if they beat the bugs without you us. I don't know. I don't think that would be a big deal either. They had to come from behind. They made a nice comeback. I like milwaukee like holiday being added to the team. But but. I don't think this was a big win for them. And we kaplan i just think it's a little rich to hear philadelphia complain about janas doing this when he literally stole a book out of joel. Embiid's playbook giuliani. Does this stuff all the time. But this is one of those rare games. It was a win for both of them. I mean the sixers came in second half of back to back without embiid. They held the Bucks to their worst first half the entire season and then you have the books. They have their worse first half of the entire season and they've resilient and they wants us out of it and that's a win for them to i don't think this is t o celebrating on dallas star. But it is something you know. Yana said he's having fun. And i'm all for having fun but sit down. Phillies court and then taking a photographer's cameras snapping pictures blowout win vs india last month. He's having a lotta fun at the expense of is eastern conference rivals in it and as an unofficial historian of nba pettiness. I'm all for it but pump the brakes you be without without embiid. They blew a nineteen point lead. You almost blew the game at the end of it yourself. So this game looked and felt like a playoff game because you know what you gotta be careful doing stuff like this because you might see him again. You don't want to spend into the win too many times ramona and but the best part about this was the white house and he wanted to goes down. Yeah
Ryan Braun's Tainted Legacy on the Eve of His Retirement
"Ryan braun told some reporters who cover the brewers that he is almost certainly going to be retired. It's not a surprise. He's thirty seven years old This is someone who at three hundred and fifty two home runs in his career to ninety-six average and mvp award nine thousand nine hundred sixty three hits eleven hundred fifty four rbi. But i don't think. I saw a lot of what really to me is going to be a big part of his legacy. When his baseball you know epitaph is written along with the mvp award. His legacy is going to be about what happened with his positive drug test and his suspension that he had for. Pd's it was one of the worst cases of a professional athlete in the united states. And i know of along with lance armstrong for someone who just flat lied. He one point you remember. You tested positive. He contested it. It went before an arbitrator and he won that a he won that arbitration decision and then he did a victory dance with the press. Conference at the brewers spring training camp. And you remember how during that process. He dumped all over the specimen collector. Who who's calling other players suggesting to them that the specimen collector was anti semitic and then push came to shove in the end. He was determined that yeah. He cheated accepted a suspension I don't know how you get away from that. It was one of the ugliest situations that i've seen in the thirty two years at a covered. Baseball tim must've ask him to be in the first paragraph of his retirement wherever he goes ear. There's no way around. I'll never forget us watching afri- i was in the espn bostering screw training and we were watching in. All of us. Basically said the same thing that was impressed with the way that she presented this. I believe i'm a little naive about some things. But i believe every word he said that day because of the passionate he used and the waiting presented everything then to find out. Later that he was lying was more than letdown. For a lot of people at it's just acknowledged right away. I don't say a may not be in the first paragraph of his retirement story but it will be because of how adamantly was and how through someone under the bus that i didn't do this. This guy did this to me and then to get caught. That really hurts ryan. Bronze legacy mood for
"mvp" Discussed on Highly Questionable
"Welcome to highly questionable in israel gutierrez. That's pablo taurean clinton. Yates full disclosure. Here clinton wanted to make this a tank top tuesday but i said no no. That would be unfair to everybody else. Now physique not because of my physique but because this is the tank top i was going to wear and it was gonna be way too distracting for you. You're welcome let's do a show. The hawks do lloyd pierce dirty. While the atlanta hawks fired lloyd pearson his third season after starting off fourteen and twenty in sort of a middling eastern conference where they still had a chance and around the league. This sort of got a great reaction than most nba firings in large part. Because lloyd was largely respected. People wondered how somebody with those types of people skills wouldn't be able to make a team work or the organization wouldn't have patient with somebody with that type of people skills to allow him to grow with his team. The other part about the question marks is this. Atlanta hawks team made a lot of moves in the off. Season that got no gallinari. They got bogged down by donna. Vich and the idea was hey. This is supposed to leapfrog us into the playoffs. This team has been hurt all season long. They have not had a chance to look like the team. They're supposed to look like and yet here. Pierce takes the l. I think what's really interesting with this sort of subject of is trae young coach superstar. Is he the guy that you want with the ball in his hands in the scoring situations pretty much at all time and right now loyd was not able to create an offense around trae young and if you look at the splits between his wins and losses if you just look at some of his numbers in general it makes you wonder hey. Was this a trae young thing or was this appears thing and i think in the years to come pablo. We're going to find out that answer. Yeah we will. I think but in the present tense. I look right to the top izzy and i say okay. What do we know about the owner of the hawks. Tony wrestler and we know a bit. He is the guy who was one of the heads of apollo global management one of these private equity giant funds. He is a guy who is very impatient and very hands on. He's known to send his gm travis link texts and calls multiple times per day. He's also the guy who yes to his credit. When might argue want to spend about one hundred and sixty million dollars onto gallinari as you said is he but also raise on rondo and bugden bogdanovich and chris done. It is notable in those names that none of us should be impressed by hearing those names. Because they're not that great aquisitions and also they haven't played donnas played zero games. The hawks in fact have missed the most man games in terms of individuals. Losing games to injury. Second only to the orlando magic so to me you have. A coach was given a mandate to get to the playoffs right now. He was given a team that was malformed from the jump. And now he's paying the price for the ambition of other people and so that does feel like doing somebody dirty to me. They absolutely did him dirty. And one person who's reaction. I'm gonna take a cue from. Is dwayne wade. Couple of days ago. When this was said wayne should upset on tv. I wanna talk about this. It was so upset about it kind of like when your parents are like. We're gonna talk about this when we get home. Because i'm so mad about this public. That i don't want to let the people know what i actually feel about it. He ended up talking about it in terms of discrimination. That a lot of coaches get around the league for not being perfect and that to me singled as much as anything from certain guys as the out respected. He was also. This is something that pardon me. The late great. John thompson talked about a lot. Which is black coaches in their inability to be able to fail. Listen the hawks and their aspirations. He should have been allowed to at the very least finish this season. I think from a simple respect standpoint of a grown man who's been around league for a long time and the third thing that makes this so incredibly harrowing louis played in college was a human named steve. Nash okay steve nash. Who walked right out of the chelsea indoor fields playing soccer and she'd onto the bench for the brooklyn nets and he's still got a job at one of the most high profile franchises in the league. Lloyd however who's been toyland in the league for a while gets thrown out on the first rail because the hawks can't make it above over whatever whatever record the owner thought they should have and it's also not simply what kind of treatment does a black head coach get towards the end of the line. It's also what kind of jobs are they getting in the first place because this is a rebuilding job. That's how it was bill. That's how it should be perceived and when you talk to lloyd peers and you ask him as he has been in the last couple of months. When did you feel like you're on the hot seat. He's very clear about this. He said i felt on the first day. I got this job. Has james harden past lebron and pablo sweet little beloved. Joel embiid in the mvp race. So this is clearly a trolling question. Just a mess with pablo here to me nicole. Yokich lebron james and joel embiid are the top three of the mvp candidates however james harden went out there and throughout a thirty point fifteen assists zero turnover night which was only done. I believe four three other times since nineteen eighty five and the question. Hey is this guy which is crazy. He's the most steadying force on the brooklyn nets when he made a mess of his previous franchise. Is this guy coming in here. Because he doesn't have to score thirty six points a game and just showing off his. Mvp like skills given eleven assists here. Seven point seven rebounds airman of put a pin in that one for a second. Okay seven point seven rebounds think about that land but is james harden an mvp candidate. May i say no. I feel like he's taking advantage of his situation right now. And by the end of the season you'll see the other sort of rise to the top but clinton are we trolling the conversation or is an mvp like james harden. Hey worthy of mvp talk. If we weren't trolling. We wouldn't be giving james harden his proper do. We're talking about a man that decided to blow off a franchise attend a birthday party with select dancers in family and friends then decided you wanted to wear a fat suit in order to make himself ghost honorable anybody who might be looking at him. And as soon as he got traded boom slimmed-down it was glorious. We are absolutely trolling. And this is why we need james harden to win the mvp. He is every bit of the modern nba player. And i entirely here for all hog. Who's willing to mislead people who make more money in god. But he's still at the end of the day is the best player on the court at all times. Yes is absolutely mvp. If not my professional idle at this point. I don't wanna be real stick in the mud here. But i do believe in clinton's fat suit theory. I actually legitimately thing. That's what happened. And i do feel like if you wore a fat suit to get out of your previous team. You can't win. mvp with your next one. Call me again like an old man young clouds..

How would you react if Kobe would have said that if Lebron says that, how would you react eight, seven, seven, seven, ten, ESPN? Plus. California has finally disappointed me. "On get up this morning. He went into his bag last night with some of the things that he's done he's thirty five years of age in the seventeenth season. And he's not he's not ready to give anything of get he's letting everybody know I'm still here. My only critique of Lebron James distant tire season has been. Are you going to show up and do that when you have? Kowa on the opposite side of the ball. Du Because Dat brother has come to La. He's not only come to your city your town but you're arena and said excuse me this is my town now. What are you going to do about that? So my my issue would. Lebron is one thing and one thing only. I want to see that the same stuff that you've shown against Luca the same stuff that you show it against Zaire the same stuff that you saw her to get a whole host of folks in the NBA. I WanNa see you do that with. Because that's the one person I have not seen. You don't want to go. Yeah well you could say that. But what I'm saying is got a game to go with a regular season where you're going to face them. They got the makeup game coming up. Obviously we anticipate his game guarantee but we anticipate that job shop in the postseason. The only thing that I could say about Lebron is if you don't show up against that brother that's going to be the indictment because what the hell is the excuse but outside of that. No he's still in the race for the MVP. The Greek freak deserves it because Milwaukee has been so sensational and they've been dominant if Milwaukee wasn't so dominant that would be different. But I got to give the edge to Janas for now but Lebron is still right there because the Lakers of the number two seed in the NBA number one in the West. And He's been balling. This is why I hate the regular season. Mvp You don't know who the best player in the game until the end of the playoffs. So but we're talking regular season. Mvp that's so so jaanus. Let me get this straight. Jaanus is better offensively right now and when I say better off his. He's averaging beat barely over thirty minutes. A game. Thirty points about fourteen board six assists block and a steal. Okay wait a minute. P. E. R. Which takes all that consideration because you can count on well. Lebron's twenty-five but tennis about so there's a stack called not perfect but it takes all that stuff into account. Jaanus right now. If the season they would have highest single season. Pr History better than will Jordan or Lebron best year. That ended today also super-efficient Lebron's in about twenty five. That's like a high end. All-star low end. Mvp honest has the highest in history on. Who's better defensively and Lebron great defensive season like if you want to add in the extra points for age shore. I'm not doing that. I'm not giving him extra points rate. I'm just evaluating them. Been great defensively for a lot of this year. Jaanus is a better defensive player at this point so this is better at offense. Jaanus is better defense and then you say well the bronze sprinkles this magic pixie dust on his team chemistry keeping the team together. Well that's verifiable. Let's see how the team is doing. Lebron is second best record in the League. But you know who has the best record in the league by six? Jaanus he's the MVP Stephen Min on this Max and one thing that you left out and heads is crazy to me. Because when Lebron James was in the east the whole thing was was that. Oh He's in the east so we robbed him say Rob Him but he he lost four. Mvp's when he returned back to the Cleveland Right Ruth. He lost out on four. Mvp's why because he was in the East doing that time those MVP's went to western conference playoffs. Am I correct? Because they were making noise in the whizz steph curry. They had seventy three seventy three nights eighty back-to-back MVP one Russell Westbrook Katie worldwide. Whatever right here's my thing. Why are we not keeping the same energy for your news? He's in the east. The ISA's weaker. No Lebron James Not Limit. Why is the argument not the same now here it is? Lebron takes his talent to the western offers. His team is number one in the whizz. He's averaging a double double. He's balling out matter of fact meat though this that. I'll tell you what I'll Lebron James. On the offensively. The Lakers right twenty nine with their Mama. Put Lebron on the court. They ranked second in the League. We're not here point guard but you know Matt a man. Here's here's here's the thing Steve. Nez change the narrative of MVP and his wife when he won the MVP. It was like he ever seventeen eighteen points and thirteen assists. Kobe numbers Kobe. Bryant number was better that you shag numbers was better there but he was more valuable to the Phoenix. Suns is Lebron James. You Take Lebron James Off. The Los Angeles Lakers would they. Would they be illegal at you onto things? That number one Steve Nash media deserved one of those. Mvp's not the other one can stop just because they make a mistake one year. Then we'll take okay. Okay so when you say about the East and the Western Conference you not wrong. The East has come up in the world. It's much better than it used to be. That's one to the number. One thing about Lebron was not the conferences. The reason he wasn't winning. Mvp is he peaked. In terms of playing all the games with high intensity second championship in Miami Lebron realize I can't keep my pedal to the metal all regular season and have gas in the tank for the playoffs so he became a wiser player in the regular season. Some of those do you mentioned. Were as good or better than Lebron K. D. hardened Steph then when the Games met the most. He distanced himself from everyone else. But that doesn't count in the MVP matter just because you're getting louder that make you right because what happened twenty seventeen. When the ball's in Cleveland he was twenty seven and a half point. Eight eight eight point six assists nine point one rebounds at Twenty Six. He was twenty six points a game. Eight and a half eight and a half assists a game and they point seven rebound and then both of those seasons. He sat fifty five percent from the field. So explain to me what you just can't do that but also to the client in the regular season or something like you say. When he came back from Miami Basically Chamber was in Miami the Second Championship both ends of the floor. He was so obviously the best player in the League. Ridiculous to talk about anyone else. By the time. The years came around that you were talking about regular season. You legitimate cases for K. D. Harden and Steph regular season playoffs. Lebron showed he was different. That's true he might do that again. With the freak. But if we're talking about a regular season award the freak Scott Stevens if Lebron was put those numbers in the West during their time. Would you believe how point it's been number number one number two? I think this is important. Point the Greek freak because of the excellence of the Milwaukee Bucks being fifty two and eight and being clear dominant as they have been not to mention what they have done against everybody that they have played against. Of course you gotta give the Greek freak the edge at this particular moment of time the nine the number one indictment against Lebron is that if you look at. Houston you look at Boston. You look at Milwaukee you look at Toronto you look at various teams in NBA their record when you go to one of the top eight teams or so go up against one another where the Lakers are struggling. They forgave under five hundred going up against the top tier teams in the NBA. So that's an indictment against the bronx but ultimately what it comes down to his again. It's really about is the race over. Lebron has been so great that you can't sit up here and say twenty five plus games to go. Oh it's over no matter what happens in the next twenty five games. You could already crown the Greek freak as a two time. Nba Mvp. No because Lebron is because of the great this that he is putting on display and this race. I believe is going to come down to the wire because of the arguments that can be made against Milwaukee in the eastern. You may be right about the reality of that. It comes down to the wire. The Greek freak is unquestionably the regular season player at this point in their Christmas. It's two years. Honest is the heavy favorite according to Vegas filed by Lebron then harden and Luca a distant second perk will be back with us. Thank you kindly. Deontay wilder has officially exercise has right to an immediate third fight with Tyson fury. It's happening y'all top chairman Bob Arum till the ESPN the fight will take place. July eighteenth at the MGM Garden. Arena in Vegas where February's rematch was also held man Talk to me. What chance do you give wilder in the third fight? I want to clean something up. I haven't done on this show. You mentioned last week. They could either one can trigger the rematch. And I said no. The other one has to agree. You were right. As as usual all went explain it was explained to me several different ways by several different parties before the fight it turns out that is correct. For some reason they were calling that bilateral that's unilateral. He does not have much of a chance deontay wilder he has a punchers chance because deontay. Hits with supernatural force. But that's IT Stephen. A punchers chance. Let's look at the first two fights. You could really make the argument. That the ONTA- one two rounds at the Brownie knocked Tyson Fury Down. And what happened? In those two rounds fury got up Tyson. Fury said he was fifty percent of himself when they fought the first time because after he beat Wladimir Klitschko for the championship. He went into a depression drug use obesity suicidal Idi. -Ation all kinds of stuff. He comes out of that fights to tune-ups against no names and then fights wilder. He said his father said Tyson theories father said before the fight with wilder son. He's going to spoil you. What are you doing? It's GonNa take two rounds and that version of Tyson. Fury outboxed him. Ten out of the first eleven rounds and then got hit with deontay knock out punch in the twelfth flat on his back rose up people are calling them the undertaker to take the fight to. Deontay the rest of that round so he said going into the rematch if he couldn't beat when I was fifty percent of myself. What are you GonNa do when I'm one hundred percent and he told everyone what he was going to do. He said I'm going to come after him in rough mopping beat him off. I put on extra weight to do. It and Stephen did exactly that Tyson. Fury has only ever told people exactly what he was going to do before the fight and then went out and did it and in this case beat him as a boxer beat him as the slugger. Any which way you WANNA slice it. Stephen with this fight boils down to is the good big man versus the good little man. I don't Deontay six seven to thirty but next to Tyson fury he's the little man and when the little man's best shot is big punch and the big man's got everything else. Good luck. Well first of all I think that how can I put.

Right. Is that right? Salacious. That is one hundred and twenty five percent correct. Wow. Take it. So hockey. We're all tied up finals man. Yeah. I thought it's very real possibility. The blues could be up to nothing. They kind of let that I came slip away. It's going seven games. I think it's going seven games like that. That series just scream seven games to me. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised Seco seven, but, you know, they the Bruins came out a little sluggish. They've been offer almost two weeks. I think that the brute the blues let him off the hook for whatever reason button. Great. Great game too, so, yeah, go back to Saint Louis tight. Yep. Yep. Now, if they could to take to Saint Louis maybe it goes six games. I don't know. But. So, yeah, good series tough series. It's going to be, I think a long grinding series fourth line for Boston man that, that's we've said sore. Yeah. Right. Did you hear the story about Carl Gunnarsson who scored the winning goal for the blues and overtime last night? No. So with, like less than three minutes. He was that tell me Birdman I'm gonna tell you right now. The Bucker so he he hit the post with with less than three minutes left in the game. He hit the run one off the of the iron, brother. And so we're no overtime. And the story goes that. Craig Baru BEI, who's the head coach was at the urinal in the locker room and Carl Gunnarsson comes up is also using the urinal, and I guess they look over at each other, and gunnison says the coach I just need one more shot. And I'll get it or something to that effect. And he's at all right? And then when he put him out there, like there was four minutes and overtime, the next shot, he scored, which was pretty hilarious. See, but those kinda stories man. Those are the type of stories that Stanley Cup champions usually have right. I'm just going to say that. So. Maybe taking a piss, we'll signify. All what happens if he goes on throw five of the night. Then what we're saying tomorrow? I'm staying the same deal is drew quickly. What's better story? Patrick Mahomes becoming the MVP and considered the best quarterback in the league. Or drew Brees thirty nine winning his first MVP and having the best season of a quarterback ever. What's better store? I mean numbers are good. I mean, the better story probably would be drew Brees at the end of the day. I think for drew if it's capped off with a Super Bowl. Then the reason I'm asking you. The quest is just again, you were part of the guys that blazed the trail for black quarterbacks and Patrick Mahomes might end up late. Wow. Again, we had Cam Newton win the MVP. But I don't think anybody ever thought Cam was the best quarterback. They thought he was the MVP but not the best quarterback. Patrick Mahomes may ascend to that status. What's better Mahomes do breeze? I think drew Brees it wrong because of his age. Exactly why he's not the better story. If you breeze wins, the MVP you have to resell the MVP trophy next year because you know, he's coming to an end with patch Mahomes, you're selling not only now, but the future the NFL model is selling not just proven talent. "They've beaten three three in two teams while the eagles have not beaten a single team with a winning record so i don't think they've proven yet that they should be the favorite over carolina especially considering they cam newton get enough that russ from the surgery looks to be back where he was a couple of years ago warsaw uprising los oklahoma michigan oh michigan loses the michigan state jim harbaugh's record through a couple of seasons the same as brady old trucker brady old record against iowa and michigan better than jim harbaugh's record but of course it's going to be i would stay because they've got this quarterback who shows up at the game and a nineteen th eighty six camaro merge transamazon ages runs roughshod over this thing nobody nobody could have possibly seen this coming because oklahoma look like they were as good as anybody in the country yeah as you mentioned harbaugh hasn't been that great in rivalry games than the rain becomes a factoring in michigan michigan state whereas oklahoma's a thirty one point favorite at home and can't get it done we more interesting is the see which team manages over the stretch of the season to make good on the expectations despite this loss thing that i know sacked play where it makes you got choke let's see what oh i remember that watches tma off may not all right there speaking for all of us in the logic of say i'm do drop the ball like that is they're pretty much there that's what happened that's just what happened to me i mean that's what i would look at i'm going to be like you got it and that's exactly what happened to me were yet that's which is up.

"Time for a more football bigger deals the chief winning game or the texans loosing j jim what it's the way the chiefs or playing it's not that they're winning these games it's how they're winning with big plays scoring down the field making alec smith walk over five games like he's never looked before over five games in terms of not being so conservative jj walk is injured and now out for the year the houston texas the working to be any kind of meaningful this year and he already had zero sax on the year the way the chiefs or playing even though the vikings also started five and all last year is impressive because they're the only unbeaten and have been for two weeks now all depends on the context for the question right the bigger deal for football and for this season is the chiefs they look like the real deal they are the only undefeated team alex smith is doing things we previously thought he was incapable of and they managed to deal with an air very going down and still succeeding on the defensive side as well in terms of the bigger picture this might be it for jj what i don't know that that's the case but when you have a back injury that affects the rest of your kinetic chain and then you suffer further injuries and we see the decline that we've seen second straight year not making it pass the by week this is a future hall of famer who has so much more that he can probably do that will not get to see that is a much bigger story than the chiefs winning a game it all depends on the contacts or talk it's just such a reminder to of how this sport uses up its bodies look at gronkjaer no longer looks like kelsea because it feels like the rust is falling off of him from so many surgery kelsea will soon not look like that and you're seeing with jay what you can be the defensive player of the year a couple of years in a row but it's going to wrecked you physically.

"How can search it jerry just me up advice cowboys falling to go on three o anything to not give credit to aaron rogers and my man crushed making a perfect to throw at the end of the game because the dallas cowboys did everything right during that game keeping the ball away from aaron rogers for seven and eight minutes at a time except for at the end of the game where they left him too much time and he did what aaron rodgers can do to a defense that can't stop aaron rogers yeah there's plenty of time so for the cowboys but looking at backed amac thirty plus point games that you don't win and looking at a deep and that you know everyone with hindsight is now saying you should have just let them score because you know you can't stop him that's a bad place to be in for a team that now has more losses already than they did all of last season last year and dak prescott as more picks already than he did all of last season so this is a team that needs to figure things out in all this stuff swirling about the anthem and guy's not being allowed to play a certainly not going to help as they try to do that this is an easy secondguess by me to say you'll left aaron rodgers too much time but what i'm telling you is even at the end of that game if the dallas cowboys had not scored because they were trying to simply keep the ball away from aaron rodgers while trying to score late late in the clock i would have said that's the right way to play that because it's the only way they stopped him all game was by keeping him over there and speaking of aaron rodgers we're talking about the cowboys losing let's talk about the packers winning because this guy manages to show up every single time and do what he did i'm i'm happy even as a bear span that he's getting the help and support he needs to put up wsb because we're lucky to get to watch him.

"Zinni disrespectful to play play i'm shannon disrespect blend all right so listen first ball jerry jones is going to be probably disproven in the strength of that statement pretty quickly not only gets to starting players had their fists up during this week sent them but you can imagine that next week there will still be players doing that and he will have to make a decision between winning and that statement and the only thing that might stop them from wanting to win as money so we'll see where his allegiance lies but that's not going to be a strong statement as the vice president of our country spending at least two hundred fifty thousand dollars of taxpayers money to pull stunt which included him claiming he wanted to be there for peyton manning and the not sticking around for the halftime that he said he was intending to go to you and having an event in california at 630 that night which makes it even more clear then telling the press not to leave the bus because he'll be right back that he had no intention of staying this is a waste of money it is a waste of time and as an embarrassment considering what else is going on in our country that should be dealt with one of the things that i found interesting about this though is that the dallas cowboys have wanted to do this over the last couple of months we've heard dez bryant say for example i don't want to mess with my money the reason that i have done this is basically because he's afraid of reprisal from the owners so now you have confirmation that this is so from jerry jones and if you do actually want to test it does as he killed duck if any of you guys want adjusted i'd be interested to see an is reactor because he likes to win two he likes his country lex patriotism but he likes winning in money too and let's talk about how unfair it is for him to do this to his players which will then require them to be asked this question all week long when they should be.

"Nba mvp he said we talked earlier about the thunder making it priority to extend ross this summer but will yes can westbrook when a champion i don't think so think so if you're the thunder you still got to do everything you can't keep him i mean this is a top guy probably top five guy on the mvp of the regular season the less meaningful of the two seasons but by all of that second season means something that's the one where you actually win championships that's what we're talking about came and win one oklahoma city and the answer has to be no i mean he won one game in the playoffs this year one against the houston rockets one game the thunder or already over the captured they resign westbrook like they need to their over the cap so let me ask you a question the team you see right now can i wanna chamionship the one we just watched win one game does that the guy standing behind the blast that's right of john don't take this long kono noted can't win in a media are in how do they make it better while they give brian shaw to become the head coach and they run to triangle outfits uh i don't know how you went but can they win i think if they put you you're right over the kept so they can't use any money but if they did so trades in certain people and they had a certain mentality i think they could definitely make some damage they they really did some great things with katie was there and they had they had a pretty good nuclear said if they would have held at together they could have been in that position but they they let that fall apart where the buck leaving i think you can't get rid of the defenders and the big guys that make these guys feel comfortable in being um i guess.
