"A source confirming to CNBC's Kate Rooney that the social media company is in late stage talks to be acquired by PayPal, the shares under pressure today on the back of the report. For more on what a deal could mean for this FinTech firm. Let's bring in Dan Dole of he covers PayPal at Mizuho securities. Dan, great to have you again. The stock was down 5%. It seems like it would get this sort of deal would get it away from being a FinTech FinTech. Or alternatively, again, thanks for being always great to be on the show. Or alternatively, it's another way for them to get deeper into ecommerce in their Internet and integrate FinTech Internet, right? Because if you think about it, a lot of Internet names like Facebook are getting into payments, so maybe PayPal's action today is that counteraction of them getting into your Internet. So it's a tit for tat that they're doing right there. That seems like getting into the Internet by brute force, though, Dan. I mean, don't platformers want to use PayPal as their preferred payment method without PayPal having to acquire a platform. When I first read this, I thought, why does PayPal need to do this? And does this indicate that there's something lacking in PayPal's growth prospects that it has to look for a deal like this? Yeah, I think you're making a great point. So I guess the fear in the market today and that's, you know, we expressed it in our note as well is that everyone was looking for the net adds they guided to over 50 million of net adds and fiscal 21. And I think the fear is that ecommerce is slowing net adds or slowing. So they need something to bolster growth. But I think if there's a long-term strategic rationale here, it's actually getting deeper into that vertical integration into ecommerce and maybe potentially in the future going after a company like Shopify or Amazon. So this could be just one more building block in that long-term plan, but I agree with you. There's a lot of eyebrows today in the market and that's reflected in the people's stock price. Dan, when I look at the deal or potential deal like this, you know, the history of large M and a, strategic M and a and tech is not great, right? And so here's a company I think to Mel's point is that Pinterest saw 91 million monthly active users in that last quarter. It was decelerating. It was disappointing the stock got hit. And I would just say that, listen, these guys just went public two years ago. Isn't there a longer runway for this company? Rather than immediately get gobbled up by a big payments company that is also seeing decelerating growth. Isn't there a path forward with a baby of bricks and mortar retailer like a Walmart or something like that? Because I can see Pinterest being a massive feature for a Walmart. Who is actually making some good inroads and ecommerce away from grocery. Yeah, look, it's a great point. But I think there might be sort of like a confluence of interest here, right? So I don't cut a Pinterest, but as I was doing work today, you're seeing the COVID bump in terms of their user base just spike. And to your point, it's been decelerating ever since. So they might be under pressure to maybe kind of sell to someone and then PayPal on their own end are kind of seeing ecommerce flow, which is nothing to do with them. It's just sort of that post COVID kind of hangover and the confluence of those interests is what's creating like maybe a good combination of sort of a good price, but also some long-term strategic benefit that they could not get by not by each one being on their own. Dan, great to speak with you. Dan, don't love me. Thank you. Steve, what would you make of this tie up? So I think it was interesting. Truest actually put out a piece saying that they thought they were better off buying a processor. And I immediately looked at light speed that's a $14 billion company or a toast, which is a $25 billion company. They could buy both of those for cheaper than what they're paying or the same amount that they're paying for Pinterest. And it gives them more exposure to where they want to be. So I don't like it. Pete and Jarrett Pete, by the way, was I don't know where he was in some sort of seller. We fixed his audio, but he's on a phone now. I've been getting tweets free Pete, like nobody knows where you are. They think you're locked up someplace. Anyway, you're on the phone. What do you think of PayPal, potentially buying Pinterest? I actually think it makes a lot of sense when you really look at their monthly users for both and they're very close to one another, 400 plus million monthly users. I think it makes a lot of sense. And I think if they were able to get it anywhere close to where the price is right now, all you've got to do is go back to earlier in the year and you can find back in February and April, this is an $85 stock. And I'm looking at it and I look from a valuation perspective right now of Pinterest, it's pretty amazing actually. It's a $40 billion market cap and yet the company with 2 billion in cash has got almost no debt. They got great cash flow and they traded a forward PE of about 40. So when I look at this company, I think it really would make, first of all, I think it would make a good match. But second of all, I think they're getting it to the right price as a matter of fact, if you look across the industry right now, I think the price that they would be paying actually makes a lot of sense going forward for PayPal. But we'll see. I mean, there's a lot of different things that have to go right, but we've seen a lot of option paper in there. We saw some monstrous paper just a week or so ago. They were dead on as far as the timing of this whole thing, as far as the announcement. But I think we have to see when will this actually happen? And if it does happen in November, I think it's going to be at a price a lot higher than we are right now. Tim, you're grimacing and you're shaking your head, so I feel like you don't like this. Well, first of all, I'm just thrilled and happy the pizza okay. We were all worried sick and I'm glad that things are better. I don't think this is a cheap acquisition at 13 times sales. And I think it's actually not an accretive deal for PayPal who's not cheap either, but they certainly would their overpriced currency or maybe not. I think he'd be doing other things that certainly they are laser focused on engagement. I get that. This could be seen as an extension of their honey acquisition, which was I think previously their largest acquisition. I like Dan's idea. This makes a lot more sense for a major major retailer and big box, et cetera to really be the funnel. I don't see it for I don't see it at all for PayPal. Well, Kramer says today, sell off and PayPal could be an opportunity in the stock. "In nineteen sixty eight. Which of course was some of the worst fighting. That happened in the vietnam war. They said that he held off a thousand c. fighters at one point by himself. So we're really shooting shooting for the top echelon here in terms of of movie heroes and how much damage the they've done. I don't even know. If mel gibson being in the phoenix program in lethal weapon would qualify for that But the movie. The final finish portion of the movie doesn't outline exactly what all hummel did in his career and there's a little more to it as talking about him here But in terms of just that the they wanna defend this product of the movie. They wanted us to say. This is a vietnam war. Hero that this guy just. He carried a load far beyond what what other men did or other men were were capable of. You know just putting them high up there in the sky in the line that he got the congressional medal. Jesus a great bit dot com. It was Live i did but also wondering why isn't there congressional leases. It should be congressional medal of what jesus there should be. There should be. I'm gonna write my congressman Yeah there really should be But the the vietnam war you know in in hummel's role in it kind of answers. The next question that i had was which was. How does this this man. Justify targeting fellow americans Both the hostages that has taken and the people in san francisco who the chemical weapons the rounds are are pointed at. How does he justify the possibility of killing that many more thousands many times beyond the number of many lost. Well it's it's real simple. He was in vietnam. That the policy of attrition of believing de enemy fighters meant. That strategy was working at any any given moment. It makes perfect sense that he would be entirely blind to this. That that you know some The i battle of lucia. That happened during the iraq. War win for contractors. Were murdered and the military in the coalition. There responded very very harshly against the enemy. That's for opinion if people think it was a good callback. Call him Just in terms of the loss that were willing to expect or accept in terms of are trying to make the mission move forward trying to win the next objective trying to convince the public that this is a an acceptable thing. what did you. How did you interpret that. Tom that his his inability to see what he was really trying know what he was really doing in his his motivations see on the one hand i was thinking. Why away san francisco is it. Because you know hollywood is secretly ochre right wing in. Hey baby. something doesn't like the fact. That san francisco's of david is that does there is a kind of undercurrent of crashes into this. Tv is quite adults with an awful lot is going on domestically. That's one of the things that makes it. Quite an interesting watch is that i'm not quite sure. What the hell they were trying to say here is if they were trying to say something. And maybe not in the original script before rub. It is even simplified vitamin somewhat older. Now backtrack.

There can be endurance problems and fatigue and he just came out there every night and sounded antastic single night and it was a great great experience to play with now he was old school. I mean You could do it all but You know that show. You felt like he was doing it for the first time Every number that saying whenever you saw him he never let you never let it get old. Now that's right. I really do. You learned from being on stage with him. You learned a lot about about entertaining about engaging. The audience he was he was really used. The real thing and That's that's also that's that's one of the Kind of an art that people have have lost to some extent. I think i think some jazz musicians Let that slide a little bit. I think it's very important to connect. You don't have to be allowing jack. You don't have to be over the top with show business or you know but you certainly very very important to connect with an audience to speak with them. Tell them what you're doing and to help. Draw them in. We really without an audience. We don't have a gig so it's really good to be able to Cultivate the audience and to connect with them. and i you know to appreciate the audience. It's rare but occasionally you know. I think we've all been through that where you see A group on stage or wherever. You might be that. Is those just playing for themselves. And they're not paying any attention to the audience. Either that doesn't work. I mean people tend to not want come back the next time important. But now with the master of that he could You know he would he. And i actually. I learned this from a lot of the gentlemen from from kind of that generation I'd put charlie bird in that category. Barney kessel her ballots dizzy. Gillespie they they could be tired and they can not you can tell. They really didn't feel like working at night and they would hit the stage and they would turn on the switch and they were on from the beginning of that show until the end. There's so much to that. "If you're fighting things that don't have sundering or don't have ways to make you vulnerable. He's definitely capable of hanging in there and dealing with you know five or six vanilla tax even if they're hitting on a three plus He should be pretty safe. But to that point As far as healing him on command Since you're running the stanford side anyway another attachment. That i don't see used a lot is davos The onion knight. Now he's got He's got supply aid and we've seen this ability used to great effect with Nightwatch and their conscripts. But you can use this with davos. And i actually like putting davos in a unit of mercenaries because it essentially makes davos free. You've got a five point unit. That's essentially just there to support. But if they have to get involved in the action. The mercenaries are actually capable of doing a little bit of work. So i really liked that unit as a key support unit but most importantly if things get a little bit harry for your dragon stone noble and you make this devastating attacks such as the one. We explained with mel asandra. And you're anticipating that. He might get charged. Just use davos to heal him up Before they get into combat with you. That's fantastic so if you're listening. Making Automated Machine Learning More Accessible With EvalML
"Can you start out. A bit by describing. What the project is in some of the story behind how it got started and what the reason was for creating in the first place. I can talk a little about that. So valla mel as you mentioned is automated machine learning library and so maybe to talk a little bit about what that means. We can talk about the workflow for machine. Learning usually as i think traditionally with machine learning refers to like being the select data and then models and then the model parameters and that's quite difficult to do by hand. I think usually it requires a lot brute force or specific knowledge whether about data science or also just the field and what i think my manager likes to refer to. It's trial by grad student. Basically just a lot of like root for trial and error until auto l. Annabella mel and sue simplified that process so the user instead only have select the data that they care about that describes system of interest and then auto is supposed to help you select both the type of model and also the parameters for your model and a little bit about like how that came to be so i can speak personally at least like i came from a background where i had used machine learning in some of my courses but i wasn't very familiar with it and in the courses where a used machine learning. It was exactly what. I described where i had to use specific models that maybe my for blessings had talked about are. We went over loss. I didn't really understand how to tune the models or exactly how to like get better performance except try different parameters so there was a lot of frustration on my part where i was just trying a lot of different things and like seeing the scores. Go up and down and not really like understanding how to approach it well and spending a lotta time on so. I think because we saw a lot of frustrations out there not just in modeling in data signs process in general about knowledge is created through that process.

What Falling Yields Tell Us About the Market
"We start off with a roller coaster ride for the market. The sap closing well off its lows of the day but still snapping a seven day winning streak the dow dropping more than two hundred points while the nasdaq eked out a new record. The move comes as rates crater the yield on the ten year treasury falling to the lowest level since late february so what are yields telling us about the market here. Dan what do you think. I think they're telling you. The expectations got way too high at some point in q. Two for the economy the economy for the reopening for the global reflation the fact that there was going to be in some way kind of all happened at the same time. And then we're gonna get kinda of pre pandemic levels and start to think about valuations on a normalized basis post pandemic and you listen. We've been talking about this. I feels like every night since late. March the bond market sniffed it out the bond market stiffed out that maybe the fed is right at least in the near term about inflation. Maybe some of these pressures being transitory. Then maybe second half growth is not going to be is rip roaring as a lot of expectations based on. I have i just make one last point the last time the ten year. Us treasury yield like you said mel was at one point. Three five percents. That was in late february. You know the s and p five hundred thirty nine fifty so at some point the stock market really liked the idea of rates being able to go up normalized to some degree. It may not like him if they go too low. But what happens if it means that we entered into the pandemic in a deflationary environment. That's more negative and worrisome for the overall markets than any type of inflation spike that we saw even if it was transferred

Richard Donner, Director of ‘Superman’ and ‘Lethal Weapon’ Dies at 91
"Passed away. He's uh, producer, a director Richard Donner, and he did the original Superman movies. He did lethal weapon which launched Mel Gibson. I think into the stratosphere and, uh, did good Goonies and a lot more I wanted we'll learn more about him in this subsequent conversations. And but he's now left Hollywood and he has a place here in a place in the East Coast. And you know, I just never never a chance to cross paths with a guy who was Richard Donner's right hand guy for a long time. He's Mills Goodloe Mills. Goodloe. Welcome, Sir. Hello, March. It's really exciting to talk to you again. First of all, let me say And, uh, I'm so sorry that Richard Donner has passed. I know he had a rich life. Rookie Reply: How to Find the Owner of a Property (Without Being Creepy)
"Joey's question. I was driving a new part of town and came across a house that had a yard that hasn't been maintained months in the house. Looks uncapped any suggestions. On how i should go about the owner and asking if they will be interested in selling things in advance for joe here. This is a really good question for us. Because i feel like we both go and look at properties and immediately. Try to figure out okay. How do you buy this. So the first thing i would do is if you see this property okay. Obviously write down the address for it. Then there is g. i s. mapping software. so just google your county. Gps mapping and. It should come right up. So this is a parcel mapping software you can type in the address and it will give you options such as what the county taxes are who the property owner as and a mailing address for them and also kind of give you an estimate of the lot lines of how big the property actually is. They were about to start their second season with the lions and they have both earned rookie of the year honors the season before offensive and defensive of the year the rookies rookie in nineteen sixty. Seven was melpar limbaugh. What's the surprise of the season to everyone except the coaches who drafted him. Barney's playing golf at home apart. Golf course in detroit and if you know anything about detroit and the golf courses back then that that's where a lot of the black celebrities from mozart. Act joe louis so on and so forth and barney was a huge fan of marvin gaye. The attendant at the golf course so like marvin gaye lives right here. You should go introduce yourself. He not door. He didn't know what he was going to say to him. At that point and marvin revenue being annoy was actually happy to see him and barney. Two views like oh. I didn't even know you knew who i was and gave him like. Oh you're barney. He ran down his stats. Like it was like pro football reference dot com and in the late sixties. They have breakfast. Suns Survive Heave From Embiid in 116-113 Win
"All the sixers were involved in the game of the night last night. Joel embiid and his team taken on the sons and it's a good game second quarter sixers up three and look at embiid working on his former teammate. Dario chartres we'll get the volleyball and beat a double double in the first half eighteen and tenth. now fourth quarter. Here's where it gets decided. Good game minutes of play. Sixers down six and more from joel. Well below the handles look at this. Spin a rama. He had thirty eight points. Seventeen rebounds now sons on the other end. We're under twenty seconds to point the shot clock winding down devon booker looking for space that macbook against to go. He had nineteen sums up six five seconds to play. Sixers are down five firkin court musk's with the inbound trying to find some room. He's got the three sisters are within two. They need to foul sons. Got it in sons. Gotta get it in sons. Gotta get it or they do chris paul. He's got twenty eight points on the night. Two free throws what is he would make. The first here comes the second. It's no good sixers. A change look how close that was to going in take another look and be with the essentially fall court heave and all his in all of it is beneath the rim and it doesn't go and just like that the suns hang on to win a thriller one sixteen one
MEL Magazine to Stop Publishing After Mass Layoffs From Owner Dollar Shave Club

"Tell you the story real quick twenty second version Mel told you, but I'll tell people now my wife is with my six year old Layton at a ballet picture session, and all of the girls have to have the same bun in their hair the same makeup. It's I think it's frankly idiotic in ridiculous. But I told my wife is we got skin look like Robert Palmer addicted to love video because we're of that age we remember that with all of the girls, and they look exactly the same. And they're just standing there dancing. Right. And so she actually mentioned that to all of the valet moms that were they're getting their girls ready will they're all ten years younger, and because they're like with their first girls not their last child, and they looked at her like she had three heads. She had. They had no idea who Robert Palmer. Absolutely not right video. Great. Great video. Yeah. Back in the day course, now, you You know, it's know, it's like. like eighty sweaters and earmuffs, but. Yeah. Late eighties mid mid mid to late eighties. All right, Houston, Golden State game three tonight, ESPN radio ABC television. How does Houston? Do you give Houston a shot? Frankly, let's ask you L. Let's go this way. Are they will they win one of these two games in Houston? Or are they dealing with a sweep I don't think they get swept. I would have said I'll go back to what I would have said prior because we weren't on obviously doing all the draft stuff. But had you asked me this question prior to this series. I would've said Golden State in six. Yeah. Five six, I would've I would've agree. I would have gone six seven. I don't think I don't think we would have said sweep in fact, some people I respect picking Houston the win the series. So this is a would be a surprise of it was that easy. I don't think it will be Houston's got too much pride to make good players. Yeah. You think about Chris Paul right now, basically as many turnovers as he does a SIS the first two games. Maybe that changes Capellas has gotta look for shot a little bit more things have to happen there. But I think when you look at the way Golden State's playing right now, and you said it Dari, and when you get Igwe Dala iguana iguanas averaging what fifteen points a game in the first two games averaged five point seven during the regular season Draymond green during the regular season. Averaged seven point four is average and fourteen five when that's happening. It spells trouble. I don't think that will continue to happen which will allow Houston the win one or two games. But your to your point earlier is is it much to do about nothing. Is it all all going to be wrapped up in Golden State? Again, does anybody have a chance in a seven game series the beat Golden State? I would love to see Milwaukee. Try. I would love to see Milwaukee try. But first things first I mean, how does how does Houston extend this series, Mike dantonio head coach, what's gotta happen. Now that the down. Oh, two. We haven't been real sharp. And again, just you know winning up. There's not an easy thing. It's not easy for anybody in the last, you know, six seven years, but we can't do it. We've got four chances that don't really going home hold home court. And that's we'd have do that. Anyway, whether we're down. Oh, oh, two one one one matter. We've got a winner to homecourt games. And then we'll have some more shots out. Chris paul. What's it gonna take to beat this team effort and execution Renault? We talked about it all the time. Playing hard isn't good enough, especially against them? That's why they didn't want to championship got to play hard. I mean, it'll be great to watch refund. They can win the game..

"He basically proved that pro days mean nothing. Roadway ever ever seen was Mark. Russell L amazing is DaMarcus Russell. And look what happened. So pro days for quarterbacks and sent me nothing. You mentioned all the different things about your Marcus Russell, very accurately through as drafted in two thousand seven number one. He throws his last pass on a regular season game. Just two years later. That's enough said right there. Yeah. Mel just us. Because I I mean, obviously, I don't remember what you thought of Russell back in two thousand seven it's now twelve years ago your thoughts on Russell when he was entering into the draft where you big on him. Or did you see the red flags not as big as some? But I thought he was certainly warranted. Being a high first round pick. I didn't have leader great as some do. And that's what you kinda hang your ad on when guys the bust. Nick, you say, well, I wasn't slump a full. The case of jamarcus Russell. Yeah. I don't think people expect them to be as as bad as he was. I said you start you come into the league number one in two thousand seven and two years later. You're throwing your last pass. That's not expected Nasr pretty crazy. We're all looking at Josh Rosen right now, very unexpected. Where a guy that was drafted in the top ten just a year ago might be on the trading block that doesn't usually happen especially when the guy's a quarterback. And we're taught about Russell two years later out of the league, my number two guy male, and this is going to go against what you said about the injuries. Charles Rogers from the lions number two pick in two thousand three from Michigan state. He did have some collarbone issues, but he was released prior to six fifteen games for Detroit thirty six catches four hundred forty yards in only four touchdowns your thoughts. Charles Rogers, Mel kiper junior with the lions retracting receive receiver. They hit on Calvin Johnson. Mike Williams who I liked this appointed as well. But he didn't go into top five. But I think you'll get Charles Rogers. No question when you look back Calvin Johnson kind of saved the lions. He would have been a boss that would have been like, are you kidding me? But the mega Tron Calvin Johnson. I think prevented more talk about some of those disappointing receivers at went a few years earlier is Dr Email on ESPN radio that smell. I am not Dari Nick cattles in for Dr this morning talking about the three biggest draft busts on the hot list. All right. It's time L Kuyper junior..

"So we've got Kyle Murray Mel going number one to Arizona. The next question is Dwayne Haskins. We're hearing all sorts of stuff, right? His stock is falling. He's not going to be at draft night. He'll be at a bowling alley with hundreds of friends. What do you think of Haskins where do you think he falls? Here's the latest and greatest on this. They Gettleman has basically told everybody I'm not taking a quarterback at six. Right. I mean, but just by how he has said it exactly that way. But he's telling you that set it up for that. Now is that a smokescreen because everybody had said months ago, if the giants want Dwayne Haskins they better trade up with the jets at three that's all the jets and giants ever make trades. So now, they may have him fall to them that they've done everything but say, we're not taking them. So, but is that true is Gettleman being you know, trying to play a game here. We'll see that's going to be fascinating. If he doesn't. Take Haskins where does Haskins go. Well, you would have to think the Redskins at fifteen or they're going to wait for Haskins a fall on their lap or trait up ahead of Denver get to where buffalo is at nine or Detroit is at eight and take him there or just wait it out. And then does Denver Cincinnati at eleven Miami thirteen to those teams look at Haskins or do they like lock a little better? I know we've heard that some teams like lock better than Haskins. Right. Okay. Maybe the giants like Jones better than Haskins, and they're gonna take Daniel Jones from Duke at seventeen or maybe even trade up from seventeen to make sure that they get ahead a Washington to take Daniel Jones. So I think it's got these quarterbacks are so interesting because everybody's all over the place. You talked to a team they love asking. And they don't like them they like somebody. So in these themes, you talked to don't even want a quarterback they had their neck. It really is an unknown. And it makes it very interesting. I hope that we wait until draft night before Arizona makes any move which is. Rosen because as soon as they trade Rosen. It's automatic Murray's the number one pick the suspense is gone. If they waited out, then you still don't know keep in mind, John Dorsey, new two months before the draft. He was taking Baker Mayfield an hour before the draft. Some people had no idea even the scouts were untold. So John kept that quiet. He knew but nobody else knew right? What's Arizona doing it? They going to keep it quiet, and then work that trade out then or what's going to happen there with Arizona. We're only five days still the draft. And as right now nothing has happened. No one last guy want to take a look at it. The quarterback position is Daniel Jones yesterday. There was a report that there's one team in the NFL that has Jones as the number one quarterback on their board. You see he could go as high as six and some mock drafts he can go late in the first round. What do you think he goes male talked to somebody that I respect that it had one in the league as a Super Bowl ring and is no longer in the league? But knows this keeps in touch with. Everybody said don't be shocked if the giants take Jones at six while because they. If you feel he's a franchise quarterback. And he is as you say a number one quarterback in this draft. Why are you waiting? Yup. Why? Are you waiting to? Maybe you lose him at seventeen. Right. So I was told don't this sleep on that that the giants. Everybody's talking defensive player Christian Wilkins at Oliver through defensive tackles. Maybe that it is a little a curve ball thrown Jones goes at six. So if he doesn't go six then at seventeen the giants wait or do they aggressively move up to get Daniel Jones if they are the team that feels he's the best quarterback in the dress? And we don't know that that's been a speculation out there that Jones is their guy, Chris Merrill left. The owners meeting to go to the pro day of Daniel Jones, you know, about the ally. Manning Peyton Manning connection with David and obviously David Cutler coach developed Daniel Jones. So I think everything fits that. Jones. Maybe is linked to the giants for a reason..

Let me let me go to in coverage yet seven or sections the Android over the last three years you bow down twenty three passes. The what are you pride yourself more on being able to cover a guy and lock them down or go up and tackle a two hundred and twenty five pound running back coming around the corner up an all day, I like to talk with the running back. So, but I I love I love his charity. But it knows you think about locking down bishops evil an opposing saying that that makes me feel good to You you. care to between the two through that point as we chat with the de'andre Baker out of Georgia cornerback off to the NFL. I when I was doing there during that long pregnant pause that Melvin no if he should ask the next question or not was this. You mentioned Jerry Judy is the best you face this year. And Calvin really is the best you ever faced. I looked up the numbers, I probably could've asked you. You probably know this against Calvin Ridley in the national title game. You held him to four catches for thirty two yards and against Jerry Judy in the SEC title game this year three catches in twenty four yards. Not only do you take the challenge. You excel in the challenge. Give me the best. Endgame trash talk with one of those two guys as you're slamming the door on them. You see a probably national championship GAM just lightning. There's going to be on night. We might as well tell you quarterback with the other way. They call me big fish. His. The actress are one team in particular, you go through all this process, you're interviewed by everybody's or one team in particular that s shown interest and you with your style fits what they do. Is there anybody you can single out team wise in the NFL? Not really known. I can say team because I'm kind of versatile and what I do have to play and play freshman or they kind of rushed out those teams. That's my, you know, looking at you. So love of levers take a chance on me. I and give it a shot, and that's too. Here's a question. I wanna ask you because I we also about the long arms of a corner short arms long arms, and how that can make up ground and you're five eleven you're one ninety but you have a long arms the Andre. How is that been a house that that length even though you're only five eleven you're not six to like say agree because but your arm length that is that assist you as a cornerback at college moving into the NFL. Oh, yeah. That would be demanded. No, I'm not I'm not sticks through a six coup. But I'm five eleven no a decent height. But my loan. Oh, I got wingspan like, I'm sixty six two. So that helped me up on a Joe ball with the bigger receivers or or the deep balls when I got a sketch out. So it helped me big big time in salt balls and people. So that's a good thing. The Andrea may credit Georgia joining us how many years have you been at least familiar with Mel kiper junior. Probably like since high school. I always see like the mo- drafts and things like that. Okay. Teammates from high school coming out of college in going to the draft. So I used to always like drafts contains like that. Okay. Okay. Okay. Good. So I like to ask people this is there anything you would ever like to know about Mel because you for years, you've gotta listen to him talk about you and your buddies. Now, you get a one on one session with Mel what do you wanna ask? Mel you got his ear right now. Oh, I wanna know like what do he basis? Jeff like, I see a lot..

Well, that's what she said. All now, I can't believe him talking to melt freaking now ask any trapped question you want now call Dr Dorian bell now. Eight eight eight say ESPN now ask Mel JT in Pennsylvania, fire it up. Your first what you got. Well, another less than impressive beginning Melman. Great start. Let's see. Let's go to Mike in New York. Mike help us out. Save JT. Good morning now. Orange fan. Can you tell me where Eric Dungy is going to go and the draft kind of overlooked? I oh good college quarterback not the combine you think about Eric Dungy as an NFL prospect. He'll get into a camp, probably tough gritty competitor. But undrafted free agent. Gary in Florida, you're up. Good morning gentleman. Mel freak of I noticed it made fun of Orioles. Sweet outta they have a better record in the Yankees. Wore the Red Sox chasers. Well, everybody seems to think they're going to wait until next year. Worry about the quarterback or the you're after maybe a defensive lineman. Whether pe- Sean Gerry, Michigan, a Brian burns. We're gonna talk about next week is very deep Juan Thornhill Virginia and Darnall savage junior, Maryland or two guys that are fast rising up board. Yankees Red Sox. Astros. I'm just looking through the NATs cubs. Cardinals Rockies all teams the Orioles have a better record that. How could I trash the Heff game out of first place? Right. Can't do it. Andy's in Indy. Eddie what you got for from. Good morning question. Is there one player that you see kind of drop it in the draft that he was there. The colts jump all over. Yeah. How about Mark lease Brown wide receiver the home Hollywood Brown? We love him. It's just the injury. The foot injury. Is the reason why when I talked to some teams they said, well, you know, maybe Trump's a little bit wasn't even said second round by putting first pick in the second thing. Hey, wouldn't it be great to have Tyler throwing the Markey's Brown? Get that back again. Maybe arizona. I would have been my favorite team. Oh, yeah. You would definitely have the cardinals all the time. But I I think. think at that pick twenty six if he's there because of the injury, and I think he could be he's a top ten top fifteen pick. If he's one hundred percent, I think marquees Hollywood Brown. How about that? Love it. Ask Mel Dorian male ESPN radio ESPN app. Dave and South Dakota. What you got from? Good morning with the patriots dearth of picks this year. We're what line are you going down? They trade for rules. Are they drafting Brady's eventual successor thing. Well, you think about the the the second day. I mean if four seventh round picks have three third round picks a couple too. So they they have those selections, and they three they're going to be very active in round seven. I they're always a team that could be moving. I just wonder if Daniel Jones is there would they take all everything points to them taking a quarterback and they've taken Garoppolo in the second. They'd remember. They took drafted Jacoby perset and others. So I think you look at Jarrett stidham Auburn Tyree Jackson buffalo Clayton Thorson northwestern. Ryan Finley NC state. They would be guys. I think we'll be there at second third fourth round area that maybe New England if they don't get Jones could have an interest in to Mississippi and Paul Paul which you got from. Hey, guys doing this morning. Should right? Thank you. I'm a Bengal. Fan and my questions stolen already. But I guess I really like what the dolphins are doing preparing for twenty twenty. So wrapped on in in in the whole pressure of winning. He says you're already in it and your the journey because you can be very successful. And never be on this on this, right? And again, that's where it was over. Sorry. Melrose winner was over coach. Do you feel like you enjoyed it enough? Absolutely. I I it's a week. That'll be with me forever and ever. I have an issue. And I said this right after as a final four, I haven't it's now that there's only one way to that get that each to go away and that inches I wanna play on Monday down there. And that's that's not going to go away. It's it's something that there's only one way to fix it. And it's an it's it'll stick with me forever and ever if I'd never get the opportunity, but I enjoyed every second of it. It was an unbelievable week for me. An unbelievable moment for me and one that that you know, I could sit back and say I was a part of something and not too many people that are a lot better at distant me wherever they were able fortunate enough to be per coach before we let you go. We've been talking about about pressure and ten seconds which team is under the most pressure right now to win. I don't know. I don't think that once you get to this stage. Mel, I think all that pressure goes out the window. I think the the elite eight game is where all the pressures that you're going to say pressure. You know, maybe Virginia again because they've been number one in the country basically for two years in a row, and and they have to they don't have to. But for the world to completely forgive them of last year's game, this knowledge, the fact that they've been the number one team in the country. Always good to talk to you coach. Thanks so much for your time. This morning. Thank you guys. Great out. There is head coach of these South Carolina Gamecocks Frank Martin, by the way, coming up twenty minutes from now one of his best friends, not just in the businessman in the world, anti Kennedy gonna join us. Former ole miss coach AK is here with me in Minneapolis for the SEC network. But he's awfully dialed into Michigan state and Texas Tech is well, we're going to get all the insight we can possibly get leading up to these two final four games..

"ESPN you see Jeff Schwartz. We do that in honor of Mel that's Mel does not demand much on this story and Mel show on ESPN radio. But he does demand that the final segment in from break. The music must be this. Okay. Yeah. It's just this thing. It's his thing. And we give him his thing. You know, even when he's at the combine was showing their. Yeah, that's his show. And so that's where we sit. And that's why we did it just saw something come across from Bleacher report. Of course, the combines going on Josh Norris. He's got a check Mark next on on NFL network. Kim Jones states that people are starting to believe, quote, unquote, almost universally the collar Murray will be the number one pick by the court has to be you, and I are on the same page here for sure to. Yeah. And again, I don't know if it matters very much whether or not they can trade Rosen in the NBA, it'd be nice, obviously beyond the obviously two months away. I think that general consensus that Murray's going there, obviously. You know last year, I think the consensus was Donald is going number one that didn't happen. So there's a lot of moving parts here. But you'll hear too is. I I don't know if Haskins might be a better quarterback than Maria some people feel that way. But with the fit of Arizona in Murray. That's I think why ripple think Murray's going one Haskins does not fit that offense. I mean, Josh roses alpha task is. Yes, does not. He's not running..

"I will start with this. Mel who is your hero of the week? Oh, it talk about downhill runners and football. I don't talk skiing much for watching a wide world sports in the Winter Olympics. Bobby doing a great job driving all this without a lot of fanfare, and I'll tell you what? Mckay A-List Schifrin USD or my hero the week. Chatting outstanding your own a slopes last week. He had a severe cold Summoner camp thought, it might have even been pneumonia. She became the first man or woman to win four straight slalom titles at the world championships are held every two years. She wanted to thirteen fifteen seventeen in this year. Michaela Schifrin USA skier, my hero. The wake first time ever of at skiing talked about on this show, but kill Schifrin my hero the week. I literally just checked the Vegas odds. And it was plus four point five million that you would pick a skier as your hero of the. We know what had skier I gave of all. I could have stood here forever and never gotten used a skier. Well done. What would your your hero that spectacular? You deserve to be the hero. I listen. I feel honored to have even heard you say that. Now, I am picking a hero much more common person in the news myrow the week is on Williamson. And here's what assuming his injury is not a bad one. And I'm going to assume that because everything they've told us seems to suggest that's the case that shoe blowing out Wednesday night during the Duke Carolina game. Mel it made Zion. Another twenty million dollars at least because the way that played out. There were no MBA games. There was nothing going on. It's do Carolina. You got Kim. Griffey Spike Lee, Barack Obama and the crowd everyone's tuned in and then the shoe blows out the way it does. He's made it to where these shoe companies now. I have to sign him. If you're Nike. You can't let him go because you can't have other companies doing a our shoes don't blow out, right? Like, you can't have that. So you have to now throw him even more money to get him. Even though it's led to this debate about amateurism and about the one and done all of which are important debates in the end. Mel this injury is going to be better for than it was before. Yeah. Could be he will he's going to be this will end up being the best thing because it was an iconic moment on by the way a college basketball game that was the third highest ranked regular season most watched game since two thousand and two. You can't argue with that. And like you say we're does where does he go from here after that? That was the whole debate the playing with lack came out of that. But you're saying, hey, the injury could be a plus for that reason for a monetary standpoint. Nobody's going to argue with that point. And nobody's gonna argues. I n Williamson is going to be a great NBA player. And the question is do they win a national title? I think they do. That's my they're my there. They have to be I think even more. So now, Matt that seems gotta be so when he comes back I was like guys that have your back. You wanna finish this thing off the Clinton entire remember those Clemson defensive line and went back to Clemson for one reason to win a national title. What do they do? They want a national title. Okay. Zayn Williamson is going to be like those Clemson defensive lineman. He will win a national title. By the way, Zion is out. However, four today's game officially he will not play tonight against Syracuse. Who's your who's your zero? I'm gonna go to a league that had a lot of positivity. It's the alliance of American football. We've found out this week. They miss payroll in week one that as I said, it wasn't a matter of not having the. Funds. But rather a glitch in the system. I don't know if you believe that you would do you believe that they didn't need the two hundred and fifty million investment from Carolina Hurricanes owner to help save the day the bottom line here for me mad is the players weren't paid on time. And after having all of that, positively with a nice rating and everything being hey, watch this league some Luis Perez and some other guys being developed for the NFL..

"But it'll be as good as the guys that came out this past year, they're not going to have nearly as high grade and the teams that did get those guys got feel awfully good Dari that they have their quarterback. And now they can build around that guy. Mel you got twenty seconds your initial reaction when you heard about NFL owners allegedly reaching out to Adam silver to be the Commissioner. I was surprised. Because I think Roger Goodell's their Commissioner he's making a lot of money. He's done some good things. I know he's been criticized by a lot of people, but I know Adam silver's revered and every every move that Adam silver makes turns to gold, right? Seems like it seems like maybe there's some say everything he does. You know, what Adam silver has great foresight everything he does as forward thinking. Yeah. He's not locked in into twenty years ago. So I think he's done a phenomenal job and he's getting credit for it. And he's being talked about now for good reason, by the way, Adam silver, protect the pelicans protect what they can get for Anthony Davis. Let them send him home stay away from the team. Don't find him GTL Jason Goth Palin, twelve and Rachel Lindsay. That's what's next. Let's consider the secret life of the innermost nesting doll living most of her life in the duck inside the other nesting does. She has plenty of time to think if she could sanity she has no brain, however, when in the most nesting dole, his gyco, not only saves people. "I'm thinking second. I think four quarterbacks when I'm doing the mock I'm always looking to have, you know, Haskins and Murray at an and you have drew lock. And then you had Daniel Jones Duke, and then will Greer Ryan Finley NC state probably more second round picks. A right now, I think David long the linebacker. I think he fits today's NFL perfectly with a speed to the football. I think he's the guy to kinda goes under the radar a little bit if he tests. Well, I think David long could be a maybe a third round draft choice, Robin, Tennessee, good morning. What you got from L I? My question for you. Sure. Big Jack Mars fan I met through Niagara team and everything and I've tried to call will. And Stephen I both and their producer sunup up on me, the you feel but the Jaguars just leg down the second half. So they can get a good draft pick 'cause weaned greatly needed quarterback. Well, again, we talked to Dan Graziano earlier, and it seems like the fit would be Nick foles. And then maybe draft a quarterback as well. Because you'll foles you probably give up a third or fourth round pick to get. You have the seventh choice that doesn't guarantee you anything there because Haskins could go either the giants or the a team trading up Cuyler Murray could be gone. The Oakland are still be there would they take Hyler Murray. I don't see Tom Coughlin doing that. But you never know. But I think in Nick foles seems to be the guy that everybody's pencilling into say you're trying to be up there. No, we're very happy memory beat the colts and Coughlin was jumping up and down happy. So you try to win as many games, you can they finished with the seven spot who could that get them? Maybe maybe if you look at the the need and you'll get the player. Maybe it's John Taylor. The junior offensive tackle, right? Tackle out of Florida are guy. Mike, Anthony, does not hang up on you. And by the way, I just drilled his name for the first time ever Jen in Kansas City when she got for mill. Hey, Mel, what's what do you think? The chiefs will do in the draft with the hiring of Steve Spag. No switching to the four three. Oh, yeah. I think you look at this little the cornerback spot. A safety at some point. I'm thinking, maybe Trayvon Mullen, cornerback from Clemson and trying to find a cornerback to fit into that spot. They'll probably draft a running back as well. As Josh Jacobs from Alabama gonna be there. I don't think. So right now think he's gone earlier Julian love the corner out of Notre Dame thinking in the late first round. If you're looking for guidance is gonna move up Dr I'm not gonna put him in the mock. But he's going to be in the mix as Lonnie Johnson junior the angular tall athletic corner out of Kentucky. All right. Let's go to Crawford in Mississippi morning covered. Hey, how you doing Mr. cross Mississippi? I'm just wanting to know whether you think Jordan Tianmu or Nick FitzGerald will get drafted I and where do you think that they would get drafted George Tommy when Knicks Gerald I'd say free agents, probably undrafted. Maybe one gets into the seventh round. You never know. Mississippi State is gonna have a big draft this year. It's you know, you think about Jeffrey Simmons had the unfortunate ACL injury. I still making could go chargers Rams late. I at worse. Second round, Montana's. Sweat defensive end could go top ten top fifteen very easily Jamal Peters. The corner. Could go second round Mississippi got a lot of guys they're going to go and ole miss us as well. I think Dawson knocks the tight end is going to be intriguing. I said average almost nineteen yards. A catch the tests. Well, maybe Dawson knocks ends up in the third or fourth round a p is in Connecticut. What you got for Mel API? Eight Mel good morning. I was looking at C. Do you think the jets trade back out of three?.

"Jer Ascii or whoa. Jonoski Roach wardrobe ski. That's why we go real whoa JR. Is going to join us in thirty minutes. The pelicans wildly unimpressed with the Lakers. Most recent offer for Anthony Davis. He'll give us that when we could expect perhaps a counter offer. And as anybody else potentially in play here side from the Lakers and Celtics who have to wait until the summer to be able to do anything. So we'll get there. In the meantime. It's time for you to ask Mel as mail on. I thought it was a spectacular decision on a lot of level. Do you wanna ask a question? Well, that's what she said. All now, I can't believe I'm talking to Mel kiper ask any draft question. He want now call Dr Ian Mel now. Eight eight eight say ESPN now ask Mel I love just random people. Jamie and Alabama your I would he got for Mel. First off big fan of this show. Love listening to you guys and milk Lyford. The man the legend with the most awesome hair in the business. Not anymore, Jamie. But go ahead with your question. I wanna know buffalo bill's gonna take in their first-round pick. You would like it to be an offensive player. Just when I did the first mock I had him taking Rashawn Gary defensive lineman. Michigan who may not even be there when they pick. If you take a receiver that early. It's just it's a stretch to put Hollywood Brown that high offensive lineman Joe Williams, Alabama because you put him up that how you could. So I think it's going to be an offensive player, but they may have to trade up a bit from nine maybe that five six baht to get somebody unless Williams would fall that far which he could. So I think it's going to be an offensive player. But it may not be at nine like say maybe moving up a spotter to to get the Lyman or move down. If they want it nine moved down a little bit and take Hollywood Brown wide receiver from Oklahoma west, we go to California, and Tony Tony what you got..

"Taking zero me too. And that's important because you think about slide number RG three one they will slide. He's a baseball player knows how to slide Josh Allen. We do a lot of that in buffalo this year getting out of bounds. I'll even go back to capture Knicks as capper Nick would go four yards away from from contact just to get out of bounds. And void it it. Give up the four yards. No matter. What's the difference? You pick up eight Cup twelve I'm saving my body. So I think when you look at Kyle Murray if he's smart and he's in space and he's avoiding alluding like Lamar Jackson then. Yeah, you can say healthy despite being small so again calamari for today's NFL is going to be very difficult for a team like Oakland at four you think about the Redskins. If it got down to fifteen Miami at thirteen somebody traded collar Murray, if he's all in for football is going to be really intriguing come late April. See what team makes the move to bring him in not knowing first time ever quarterback. This short will be asked to be a franchise quarterback. We'll see how that works. I gave Dorsey a lot of credit for taking Baker Mayfield at one. And it worked out somebody's going to really have a lot of guts to take Murray that high knowing that quarterback that size that height has never had that success in the NFL. Russell Wilson the closest obviously five ten they have. It's been great woj five nine five ten quarterback lay. Kyle Mary be able to do that as well. So you're big border quarterback. Kyla Marie to Daniel Jones. Duke three drew lock Mizzou four will Greer West Virginia five, and you have left number one for a man in Columbus, Ohio. Yeah. Wayne haskins. I think it's Murray Haskins as I said, I think Jones locked battling for that third spot. Finley Greer battling Manolas guys for that this spot, but I think for one to task ins or Murray, and I don't think it's a lock that the guarantee that Haskins goes ahead Murray. But right now, let's say Haskins for me the way throws the football. I'm not a lot of balls at the ground at Ohio State. You think about his mobility is not a runner, but he knows how to sense in those win the pick up and keep the chains. Move and pick up five seven yards. Get that firsthand. The way Klein the pop. Late this year the way I think dealt with face side pressure at the Penn State struggles where you had issues there yet still brought him back for victory down twenty six fourteen with six fifty to go. They win gained twenty seven twenty six at apple valley. So when you don't play great get you still find a way to lead your team to a victory means a lot Dari and any kind of built on that and improved. He only has going to have fourteen starts under his belt. We talked about Murray's height about the fourteen starts while Trubisky avenue starts, either same number and look what he's done. He hasn't laid it up and he's not franchise yet. But he's close to getting closer and closer to it. And they hope he is that kind of quarterback in Chicago. So I'll go Dwayne Haskins slightly over Kyle Murray at number one. Gotcha there it is mel's quarterback. Big board. We go a different position every week between now and the NFL draft Winfried out where we're going next week. It have we think we talked about offense again still we'll figure it out. Yeah. I got a hypothetical here. Now, it's a very deeply hypoth-. Question that I believe is a silly question on Twitter and. But I might throw it out there. Also for you music junkies. They completely unoriginal Patrick has thrown out the first same two songs for his musical theme. Our as Mike did for his. So number three coming your way next. If you got the musical theme give it to me at ESPN Dory. I who songs sweet emotion Aerosmith and paradise city guns and roses Dorian.

"I love music Mel likes music. But now and Mikey see we always challenge. Mike, you see on the board and be creative with his music or outsider mic as you might know. So we asked give us a musical theme over the course of the show a musical theme. This is clue number one. I know I think it relates to what we saw last week and how we reacted to that. Like, we get one guess per person per segment, if you've got an idea in the musical theme hit us up on Twitter when it hundred flowers dot com Twitter feed at ESPN, Dr that was Aerosmith sweet emotion you're saying because of the emotion of last weekend. All right. That's it's going to be tied to how. Is that right? If it's right. Okay wrong. Okay. He should do that regardless. And just change the theme which I think I got him during the break that. Yes, she wouldn't let you know. I got twice. I got thrown into break. Now, I'm gonna go with a chain four themes to for two right? I'm gonna go songs with sweet in the title. Know what each one each? Is that right? I like this game. I think we're gonna nail it. Hey, by the way, Mikey see for the sake of honesty, right down the theme and give it to Patrick and a folded a piece of paper we've been change trust that guy Patrick go. Find mike. You're awesome. All right. Yeah. Mel man, who's blown you away in the week of mobile, Alabama and senior bowl, I would say Chris Lindstrom offensive guard from Boston College who has got tremendous versatility Boston College. Love the way they teach and develop lineman. So I would say Chris Lindstrom. I would say Todd mcshay favorite. And he's raved about them all week. But the kid was impressive. And he is perfect for today's NFL. He's small, but he's tough. He's quick lately. Lightning-quick he was average almost eighteen yards of punt return. He was Georgia state's offensive weapon. Penny heart delay penny heart wide receiver Georgia state as a punt returns kick return experience. He was dynamic in this game. Everybody could say they were talking about the, you know, the the lack of length and the fact that cut catch radius throw the ball to the receivers three. Thrown a ball with somebody six five, and you gotta five eight guy. You throw it to a five eight guy that's on the quarterback overthrow five eight guy. Dr are you saying this because he's not the five eight guys not six to know, am I heard one more time? I think there was a brick through his at the quarterback is throwing to a five eight receiver. You don't blame the receiver being five eight when the ball's overthrown? If I heard that one more time, I was going to scream a little more than I was screaming. When I was here. It's like, you know, it's up to the quarterback to get the ball to a five three receiver fi five three throat to a six to receiver for six two so penny heart. Excellent shop Terry McLaren, Ohio State receiver caught everything beat good Cornerbacks made tough catches showed. He's the fastest guy on the field. I know he's a great special teams guys. Well, with great versatility, those kind of guy, I think McLaren went from maybe three four to a two and he would have run great at the comedy will run great at the combine coming up, but he certainly had a really good week. Everybody's talking about my tests. Wet in the past rush sweat had a great story was eighth on the big board back in early October. After you had four and a half sacks the first four games, then he went seven games with two sacks. Then he had a second-half consoled miss and half a sack against I was like to see him dominate a little more during that stretch there. But not sweat in this game where there weren't many first rounders. My test. What was the lead guy? The quarterback store you alluded to. Okay, not being that impressive, and you rougher lot of what a lot of people have said. But you're you're you're my expert on that. Well, I'm not going to say, they were I think Daniel Jones to me wasn't to the and I look at last year you had Baker. And yet Josh Josh Allen Baker Mayfield..

"That's you would have you. Really? Yes. Seriously. I I'm not good. That's that's over and done with. And I had New England when it so we'll see what happens here. They right now where by the way, just so you know, they are a two and a half point favorite over under right now is fifty seven fifty six and a half couple places, but two and a half across the board is with New England Patriots are favorite right now over the Los Angeles. Rams. I when you move forward Dr beyond the Super Bowl had is that play impact the NFL next year in the years after hopefully, what comes of this because it was a catastrophe. Okay. No question about that the need something like this to bring change and the change has got to be an I've been screaming about this for years. I hate the under the hood the head official got run over there. He's got put the headphones on while. We're staying stands freezing. Everybody at home is waiting. Okay. And come back and make the you got the technology where there's somebody in a booth somebody in the sidelines, boom. The officials taken out of it calls made boom. Ten fifteen twenty seconds the already looking at it up there. But prior to even the officials not even looking at it. He's on when he has to go under the hood thinking about the delay time. Yeah. Yeah. It's sickening. So I think from technological standpoint they have it. Now, maybe they'll use it properly, and maybe this will lead to the proper changes that should have been happening years ago. But would never have happened Dari. It wouldn't happen next year or the year after had it not been for this as I say catastrophe. So this happens, maybe we will get the change. We need it for a long long time Dorian Mel ESPN radio. Mel I realize that and I hate what one of the things I hate the most in sports and fans, do it all the time and Homer announcers. Do it all the time. Okay. When you're listening to go broadcast, they complain about a penalty call and describe how that could cost their team the game. And it's overdone and it's overused because in the course of a game there are dozens of other things that come up that happened or that don't happen that prevent any team from being able to win a game. Now. This is different. And that's what I'm that's what activates me. This to me is one of the first times, and certainly the single biggest time in a major sports moment that a call has has determined who wins the game. Do we not re we all know this? If it's called the saints run the clock virtually to zero very close and a very dependable kicker drills. A chip shot. That's what happens walk off winner. Vert almost a walk off winner. Saints go to the Super Bowl. So and I don't wanna hear well, they still only had two hundred ninety yards of offense, which is very unseens like and at the two minute warning. They threw on first and third down instead of running the sure those kind of things happen. But in this case, there is no single question on this planet that the call cost them a chance to go to the super eight cost. The Super Bowl now as a franchise they've got to deal with that as a fan base. They've got to deal with that. The dude that's put up billboards all over Atlanta and hired attorneys. Good for him. Great for him. If you got the money to do it go. Do it have some fun because you did get host. There's no question about it. That's what bothers me. Now, I'm moving forward. I'm going to have to get a Rams patriots. Superbowl should be highly entertaining Vegas thinks it will be as well..

"Wherever you wanna go on it. Brandon in Montana. We start with you, Brandon. Hey, Mel, I'm curious if the Minnesota Vikings are going to be smart enough to focus on offensive line during this draft. An are there the offense of lineman in this draft to fix their problem? Well, I'm about six ING one guy because Greg little at old MRs who I projected there, and he's got to work on being a little more consistent. Remember came out of high school as one of the elite of the elite and he's been a good player. No question about it. He's got a lot of talent. And if he's coached up properly he has at high ceiling he could be Pro Bowl. So I think if Little's there at eighteen yeah, he would definitely be an upgrade dug in West Virginia. Doug, what your question for mouth? Email is just calling to see how how you are on will Grier not only in the upcoming draft. But as a professional well professionals what he's been, and I think that attitude that approach will help him during the interview process. He's on the board all those things for quarterback. You would say somewhat over achieving you know, he doesn't have the tremendous skill set. But he very accurate passer. So I think when you look at will Greer I'd say right now, I have Daniel Jones going to the patriots could've put will Greer there in the late first round not necessarily the patriots somebody maybe trading back in like they always do at the end of the first round. So I would say will Greer come late April goes anywhere between twenty five and somewhere in the second round Dari and mail your questions for Mel back. We started in Montana back to the north west to Idaho. And Josh Josh what she got from mill. Yeah. As I was listening to in different shows yesterday. And they were ranking the Utah quarterbacks of all time likewise top Cornerbacks this area era with Brady and Brees going in Seattle fan..

"We're gonna get Gordon almost fumbled going in last week that could have been a big difference. It was twelve to three game. At that point. They still had to struggle to hold off the ravens the chargers have a history of late the falling behind. They got a lead last week. But if they fall behind here could be trouble the weather going to be cold. So again, a lot of people think this is New England's time to shine that again when this type of stage bellwood chick with time to prepare rises up and they play great. They play above and beyond. What we saw some of those bad games. They had this year. The chargers or the everybody says the complete team the better team. And I agree. I think they are the better football team right now going into this game. How about I mean is this not ridiculous? Mel that the patriots if they win we'll have gone to eight straight AFC championship. Games mean, it's an incredible statistic in a league where there is actually some degree of parody and unpredictability that's the one predictable. But we will. That's why I say that gets into what we dynasty when you're that good on that even when they had castle in for Brady, they still want to right. This team won't go away. And that's not say when you're I'm not talking just being relevant. I'm talking about being elite right up there with now you have to win every year. But when you win as many as they have where you may as Alabama's and you're always there if you go to year period where you're not in the playoffs or you're not in the playoff final four for college. And you're eight or not one of those say the dynasty is over. That's what I think for the patriots for Alabama, very similar and there's ties with Bela chicken saving friends coach together. No, similar success hall of.

"What was your evaluation of Tyler Murray after seeing last week for Oklahoma explosive? I mean, he he really is a good cornerback mean the I was concerned with him and going against the SEC type defense, and I think he performed pretty well, he's got such a good quick release super accurate, but he can beat you. When he pulls it down. He's allusive. I I would not want to see him every week. If I if I'm playing the SEC because I think he can get it that I think he trains like pretty well NFL just because he he he's a dynamic player back there in the pocket job Harker Wilson, Alabama quarterback. Let's give it to us. I know you've studied film. Studied it probably plenty over the course of the last week or so what are you expecting who wins the game by how much on Monday night. You know, I'm going go without him. I think it's going to be a close game. I really do. I think these are two evenly matched teams. And they're they look a lot alike on both sides of the ball. They're built the same. You know, usually you experience in the favor of a coach Sabin in Alabama team but crumbs then they're just as many times that been on the big stays they've been in these playoffs games. They kinda a little hungry from last year losing the in his semi finals. Also. So I think all those things play into it. But, you know, Alabama th the explosives that we have on offense with four really good receivers Irv Smith tied in mismatch nightmare for defense of coordinators the -bility to run the ball with three different guys and to show he was healthy last week. But twenty four twenty seven if he can continue to play with that poise. And I don't see any reason why why he wouldn't I think Alabama. Gets it done. Just because they were so many weapons on offense. Good to have you on the show, man. Appreciate you spending some time with us. Appreciate it guys. Looking for out in California sounds great. John Parker Wilson Alabama part of the Alabama call crimson tide radio network. And again, a quarterback, of course at Alabama. And this is this is the Clemson defense thing.
