"We know of. Declassified CIA documents from nineteen fifty one reveal project artichoke previously named Project Bluebird. The scope of the program was outlined in a memo. Can we get control of an individual to the point where he will do our bidding against his? Well, the project seem mainly aimed at improving interrogation techniques. But allegedly, the CIA also tried to make individuals involuntarily perform assassinations. And then perhaps eliminate the evidence. Themselves, they experimented with hypnosis, sleep, deprivation and drugs. Many of artichokes experiments were done overseas. However, some were also said to have been conducted at home and veteran's hospitals and federal prisons, artichoke and M. K. Ultra, which the project would turn into focused on gaining control of people's minds and bodies. This lined up with swirled lowe's alleged experiences at the montage bass. He claims that when he tried to refuse the experiments Montauk, scientists coerced him he simply had to follow instructions willing or not. This does line up with the new world order theory. The new world order supposedly carried out clandestine operations to save mankind from itself. If Montauk was part of this, then swallow wasn't just a US test.

"M. K. and S. T. I. N. eight to ten for the last thirty years I saw some of you might have heard that some of you probably haven't heard it but now you hear me here and I I I I give I'm I'm blessed to be here I I I appreciate garret asking me to do the show and I hope he's having a good vacation and he'll be back next week my guest today well my cold host here is my wife Mel Greenberg and now we'll get into the story of why this is kind of special for both of us and and everything else what else good morning everybody thank you for having me dean yes not a problem well so you know obviously we've been going through this you and I talk all the time well it will be about politics and what goes on we see things we get sick of it like everybody else what kind of what should you know your your take on everything that's going on I'm I think that we are it's were driven by a culture that hides behind their computer and Twitter seems to keep that momentum moving and that's a little disturbing we're losing contact and it's easier to be negative which also then translates into very quickly moving on to the next thing what what matter did seem like we forget about things you brought up the statues you know that that that captured our our our news and our our culture for so long and all this and it doesn't matter anymore doesn't really not matter or we've moved on to the next thing we move on to the next thing too quickly I think I agree with you and if there's one thing that I want people to start changing again you know we all go through these changes is don't stop keep moving on to something quickly if you believe in something and want something to happen follow through with it so it means something it just seems like nothing's meaningful right now you know I mean and the only thing to hang on to is the it is the is he impeachment you know and it's not even following too well it's so political and so here it's so bad they just bringing up stuff and it just it just the vision well I think what surprises me most is listening to people talk to who don't even understand the powers of our government and the fact that that they voted on those articles doesn't mean that we don't have people are saying that means he's not president people truly don't understand the process well that's unbelievable because you're right because I've been hearing people say and that they white who's our president now right who's up president now they think because they want to an impeachment process okay because the media makes it sound like that is that he's been removed because this many people want him we moved everyone thinks is removed no one talks about the other side that's the thing that gets me really really out with the with the media this two sides as a meeting is supposed to be able to talk to both sides and let us as Americans decide what we want to be but what they do is they take in their side there by your side all right no different then obviously fox thank you there by your side I get that but at the end of the day no one's allowing us to go ahead to make good decisions and I don't think that many people really understand it so they take these these talking points they talk about the impeachment and how was great and then after which people don't care you know why they don't understand it how do you wonder if if they don't understand it themselves on how impeachment articles can't just get passed over if they can understand it because then you have not lived with his group you have ship with his group you have some people showing up then you have the other side saying I came in put anybody there we can't cross examine we can't do this then you having attorneys go ahead and say one thing and then they're they're they're a cross examining the person on the other side how does that work and people are confuse and when people confuse you know what they do they tune out I'm not confused I understand I lived in DC I worked in DC I tune it out because I'd I you know I get to the extent that it's just the rhetoric is so loud and so contentious that I tune it out because no one's really saying anything are talking over each other they are you know putting forth their opinions and at some point the opinions don't even come through anymore it's just they want to be heard and I don't wanna hear it anymore I want you know I want our government at work I want the people that I've elected doing their jobs for me and I really don't want to tune in to television news be at any station and just hear the next person you know espousing their opinions to sell their book and argue I I do not the arguing and I think there's a lot of that and I think I'm not alone no I don't think you're alone we're gonna get into the women aspect of this and what you're thinking and how you think it because they always talk about how white women educated women don't want to have anything to do with trump and more more women I meet like trump in in certain and and certain aspects and want to be part of that and and don't understand it and they they and what's happened is they put people into a defensive position especially people that don't want to have conversation and don't want to talk about it and and and just have their own opinions because they don't want to be there you know and and I think it shuts out a lot of things that are happening around that but as we go through this and we will because coming up to another break give me one of the highlights from fifty years ago of what comes to your mind first of what's going on here one thing that happened in the seventies we have Nixon's speech but that's what we're talking about we got Nixon's impeachment and then we got a trumps impeachment and also so we'll go to kind of talk about the differences on how that all is in the public is it the is the Garrett Lewis shell this is dean Greenberg and we'll be right.

"The goal is in shock get him out of here the league is off the second phone in our story you're confused on the M. K. react who's done explode I came off some of the data from something the strangest coming out of a sense of what you're saying is physically impossible core products but it has to be trying this year's HBO miniseries Chernobyl took us inside the power plant recreating minute by minute the meltdown April twenty sixth nineteen eighty six in a remote corner of Ukraine in what was then the Soviet Union four hundred times more radioactive material released into the atmosphere and after Hiroshima dozens of death just in the immediate aftermath at least that's what the Soviet said at the time and that number could eventually rise to tens of thousands across all of Europe if the most dire projections come true he is very many series Chernobyl has four golden globe nominations including for bass limited TV series it won the Emmy in that category this year too Craig Mazen is the creator writer and executive producer I spoke with him a few months ago rise I mean initially when you think of everything of like what's the elevator pitch you're gonna do a mini series on Chernobyl on a nuclear disaster that happened in Russia that probably a lot of people don't know much about him or that interested and initially re are you surprised that it has become such a thing yeah no question I mean I'm thrilled obviously you know I'm still a vaudevillian at heart honestly I come at a comedy I want people to see the things that I do but I you did scary movie hang over movies and things like that and I'm a love that life that's a great life but it's easy to know when you've done well with those things because people show up and they'd come to the movie theater the buy tickets and with this it's harder to tell and I I think the sense was that well the best we can hope for is that a small amount of people would watch it and really care for it and in fact a lot of people watched it and that's been incredibly gratifying really great and surprising what what drew you to this topic as he said this is not your area well I've read things my area you know I mean in terms of my interest in life and things I've I'm I'm obsessed with all sorts of stuff but it it you're right it's not anything that I'd written about I was drawn to it I think primarily by the sense that I had stumbled across the secret war with the impossible ups and downs and reversals and unlikely heroes and tragedy and also some very beautiful stories that I thought should be told we're used to seeing multi level drama coming out of large events like World War two we have a thousand of those movies were not surprised when we see them or we look at something like the Holocaust we're now entering a phase in our culture we dig past the sore obvious me get those little interesting stories that are fastening will Chernobyl seem to have a lot of those and that's what grab me also there's an interest in Russia these days yes so in a way you're lucky that you you had it at the right my well you know I started working on this prior to all of that but as I was going it just seems like reality was following along somehow and that's all the way up to to you know to the events of this past week it just seems like Russia and nuclear problems just keep kind of coming there was a nuclear accident in college but some people are so were killed in Russia just when we don't even know exactly when because that was yeah it's it's pretty secretive it it seems like it was a few days ago it seems like it took the Russians about three or four days to finally acknowledge that a nuclear device had exploded it for our best guess is that it is the power for a prototype of a new kind of missile a cruise missile that theoretically could go from wherever it's launched all the way around the world we need to because it's not working a conventional fuel it's been car by this little tiny nuclear reactor which by the way sounds like a horrendous idea I mean shouldn't really be putting small nuclear reactors into missiles that are designed to explode anyway that aside what so shocking again is that the Russian government led by a man who was a former KGB agent for the Soviet Union experienced a nuclear accident that killed people including scientists and engineers and didn't tell the people living nearby didn't tell the rest of the world until they were forced to and this is this is actually what happened exactly in nineteen eighty six it's sort of like they haven't learned much and that's really disconcerting especially in light of the fact that Chernobyl now does have all this attention because of the show and for lots of the re I think it's always been you know an object of fascination for people but I I'm just shocked honestly shocked that it's still happening that they haven't figured out a better way to do this or understood the value of just being transparent telling the truth well speaking of let me just play a clip that we have here of your lead character the Larry Lagasse of played by Jared Harris and it's in the final voice over scientists.
