"I think anything is possible. We love is love and it comes in all forms and if you find somebody who had doors you and thinks you're amazing and just wants to be there for you and respect you and care about you. That can be really hard to deny. Having said that i still think know. My sexual attraction is for men. So i think it would be hard for me to wrap my mind around the sex part and if you go back. There's a very famous episode of sex in the city. Where charlotte it's involved with a bunch of of lesbians in a group and she enjoys their time and their company but they remind her like girl. It's about the sex in the end. That's what makes women so it was late charlotte. What did the lifestyle. But she didn't want the saints. I see i would call friends. Most of my friends girls. I love being around girls. I want have steak sleepgels. I love. I love i have drinks. Misdee- most of my mates are fun to sit a gossip with a and have fun. I'm old fashioned. I come from the days where boys like boys and girls like girls. No okay moving along. This story is wild about little x. What's he up to now. So he's released his own type of shoe. It's called the satan shoe and it comes with something very unusual. So it's it's a pair of kick. They are individually numbered. There were only six hundred sixty six made. I think most of us get that comes with sixty six. Cc's of red ink and one little drop of human blood. now. Rob get this. They cost one thousand and eighteen dollars. And all the pairs sold out in under a minute. No of course. There's a reason why he chose. That price is a viable passage. Luke ten eighteen that reads. I saw satan fall like from heaven. Of course this is causing a lot of controversy. People are are criticizing. The rapper this has to do with his own montero music video. And he's basically saying you know. I spent my entire teenage years. Because of all the stuff that y'all peach about what would happen to me. Because i was gay so i hope you are mad. Stay mad and feel the same anger you teach us to have towards ourselves running. That's pretty pretty deep. What do you think rob jack. I i told it just silly and it was a marketing campaign. Wants to sell more music. And i saw you know it felt like a trigger. A housewife would pull or a kardashian but when he put out this statement growing up gay was not easy. And you are taught to hate yourself and goodness knows. I felt back to when i was little too. It's a much deeper story than i thought. We should point to just today. "Boots. I heard something today. has absolutely nothing to do with my message, but I liked it I'm going to tell you. I was listening to another podcast for another pastor and he said. We all have less than we want, but more than we think we need. Thought that was good Kinda win stayed with me all day today. But that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. Today I want to talk about Martha. So many times we're heard. Don't Martha. Hear that. But who is Martha? She was a sister of Lazarus, and she was a sister of Mary. Three of them. They lived in a village close to Jerusalem. she was the sister that was always busy. She was making meals doing housekeeping. And making sure that her guests in her house. or well looked after. She had a close friendship and relationship with Jesus in John Eleven five. It says Jesus Loved Martha and her sister as Earth. This time Lazarus was still alive. and Jesus was coming for a visit. So when Jesus was ministering in that area, he made their home his home base and I'm sure we appreciate it because I. Bet you anything Martha. Always had a good meal on the table and fresh linen on the bed, so that was a good place for Jesus to crash when he was in the area. So Martha's in charge of the comfort and hospitality of her house and she knows that Jesus is coming. Now she planned special meal. Back then, hospitality was very important. When a guest arrived, they were walking with a kiss. Sandals re were removed. Feet were washed, and head was greased with refreshing perfumed oil. I don't know. I don't know how do that today I'd probably be kind of upset. Some dumped a bunch oil on my head, but different custom in that time. That's what they did. And, so Jesus comes and I'm sure. Mary was probably helping her oath Mary her sister. Then Jesus comes and things change. and Jesus is there to visit and teach and Mary thrilled at this opportunity sits at Jesus's feet takes every word. So Martha stuck in the kitchen, doing all the work. And I little probably going okay, but after the Wasser More, ticked off all the time finally. I. Don't know about you guys, but. I've always. Seen we always had this one relative. That knows how to find something to do when there's work to be done. I'm wondering if Martha maybe felt that way about Mary at that point. Anyway finally Martha's he's out, enough says Lord. Does it not matter to you that my sister has left me alone to tend to things Taylor to join it and helping me. To Luke Ten not sure but I think that's the only time in the Bible that anybody ever told Jesus what to do and do it now. But, what does Jesus say? This is Martha Martha. You are anxious and disturbed. What many things? A few things or needed or just one for her part chose a good portion, and it will not be taken away from her. Jesus clearly sees that Martha's motives are good. Hospitality is not wrong. But Martha's so focused on the meal that you lost sight of what was important. Jesus was in home to. visit with them to teach them. And meals no preparations weren't the most important thing. Jesus was probably wishing that Martha was sitting with them enlisting him also, but he did. Let her make your own choice. But he did draw the line at making merry go and helping the kitchen..

"Muster Luke Ten. That was ELMO's Dad Louis explaining racism during the CNN Sesame Street town hall. What do you guys think? How did he do? I thought he did I. Thought He did good. Thought well. It's a difficult conversation to have with kids. And you know you have to put it. In term for children can understand, and I think what people fail to understand is how resilient children are and how much they soak up what they see I. Guarantee You. A lot of the kids were watching. Sesame Street have seen racist images on their television screen before so having this moment to explain. What's going on and having a conversation? That's mature enough, but also elementary enough for kids I think is needed. Yeah I agree. I thought it was really well done. I was just GonNa. Say as to finish your point like I didn't feel that. The conversation was watered down, and I felt like catered to kids in the right way I. thought it was still mature, but and still to the point, but also was very clear for them to understand and not feel overwhelmed I think they did a good job. I think a lot of adults need to also watch that. Right I was. Talking to a lot of my friends, who have children and I asked them how they felt about it and I. Think what people are realizing is that it's never too early to have these conversations, and I think that people are also grateful that the shows that their children are watching are starting these conversations, and then they can continue to have them at the dinner table. Table or beyond what they're seeing on TV for me. I was having these conversations at this young age for those parents who feel like. Oh, my gosh, this is too soon. NICKELODEON also eight minutes of silence on their station in honor of George Floyd, and there was some controversy with that like this is too much for kids, but I think that this is actually the. The right time to do it, because especially if their appearance in the household who are making disparaging remarks, this is a great time to to have that because trust and believe me. Children and racist homes are exposed to that at a very early age right very true. The NFL just apologized for not listening to players concerns about police brutality on Friday Commissioner Roger Goodell posted. Posted a video where he admitted the league was wrong and encouraged all players to speak out in protest. He said that without black players there would be no NFL and promise that we the NFL believe black lives matter. What do you think is this too? Late isn't even sincere I feel like it's just I. Don't know how a company as large as the NFL. And I know I. It's kind of laughable. Is that I mean the employees show many black players. How are they show behind on everything? Right and twenty like I know we all have been talking about what year it is twenty twenty. The fat right are just now saying like you know what. League without black people. Your fake lied yeah. I just I know that it's really become a tipping point, so I'm so glad that you know we're. We're having these conversations, but let's not forget Colin Kaepernick really tried to have these real serious conversations when he took a knee, and he was vilified for for something soap peaceful for just trying to call attention, he really did make a great statement, and he really did bring a conversation needed to happen instill even then I felt like this is long overdue, so the fact that they're just now doing this and saying. Hey, we got it wrong. Okay so now. What are you? GonNa do to fix it because really Colin Kaepernick should have. Been in this league this whole talk. I mean ultimately kind of pushed him out right like I mean the fact that he kind. Yeah exactly you're right and the next season for him to not be playing I feel like what's happened in the world over the past three months it has just split open, but I mean obviously as recently as twenty sixteen like there. We have been building until this moment for all for everybody to wake up and say that we're no longer gonNA tolerate this type of behavior. Everybody who didn't know something before everybody who might? might have said ignorant things. Everybody who didn't think that this affected them. Everybody now has an opportunity to get on board and understand that things are no longer going to be the way that were people are also pointing out that Goodell never mentioned Colin Kaepernick's name in his apology, but he did say he would reach out to players who raised their voices It raises the question. Do you think Colin? We'll get hired again. Again a missile of this I think it's very possible that he gets hired again, but does he want to? Does he want to go play for this establishment? That really did support him the beginning I mean we were all in support of him taking. We really didn't think it was a big deal. It was his dancing. I don't feel like the people that represent Mir being fairly treated, and I don't WanNA stand during. During this he did peacefully really wasn't like it was important to him I. Don't know why they took such a fence when it was happening so for them to now extend a hand four years later and say please come back. We realize wrong. I don't know if that's going to be good enough for him. It was very public last year and this year that he said that he did want to come back in that. That, he was supposed to have a training camp. There were people from the NFL that we're supposed to attend. And then very last minute all the worrying. The NFL wanted him to sign a contract. He refused to sign the contract. And then all of the scouts decided to drop out and they no longer to the practice college been very vocal about the fact that he belongs in the League. He wanted to shot in the. The League and that he wanted to to be able to play in that this was still an incident that wanted to be able to have people working. Start at know your rights camp where he started education about the systemic racism that black people were facing especially in terms of police brutality. So that's never really been a secret so I think for sure he would want to be a part of the league. I mean it's. It's something that something that is passionate about. He just believes that he should be able to be in this league while also being voice for Black people and I think that's always been where there was a divide, so we'll see what happens I. Don't think that this league is going to welcome him back I think that you know they are going to continue to blacklist. Call and I think that they are committed to completely. Completely staying away from him, which is completely unfortunate and you know. He has changed the game in so many ways. You deserve so much more than what they've done to him. Yeah, absolutely all right after the break. We're GONNA switch things up beyond say.

"Exactly and so i always tried to get those than sandals crammed down in my suitcase and so what i want to look at today's just kinda what jesus was talking about so basically he is telling us how we are to go on the journey and when we look at three and four and luke ten it's very clear how we are to go in the journey i am sending you out like lands among wolves and basically what the lord is saying there is the same thing he's actually saying in verse four this journey is going to require not only great faith but also a greater dependency on who he is and when we looked at verse three we really talked about being in the centre of god's well there's no safer place than in the centre of god's will and we looked at that israelites and how the cloud protected them in front and behind and so today this knacks sentence really of course we know they didn't have verses when the bible was written really expound an even a greater faith and so so verse three represents a faith in dependency in safety in verse four really represents a faith in provisions and then the second component we're going to look at just a minute and so do not take purse okay and so what that looks like you know when you kinda go back in two thousand years ago of course you know it's not a literal purse but what a purse represented back in this day actually was money and so it's exactly what jesus is saying to them is look the time is sort am sending you out ahead of me we know that back in chapter nine he talks about that the time is very short and so he sent people out ahead of him because he was resolutely set out for jerusalem that word resolutely is a really big key to understanding what he's saying.

"In straight some of these things that were talking about in luke ten the other day i was able to pray over a woman who's having surgery a young gross he's a single mom with five kids and she's facing surgery and i was able to pray over her and she said that she had never felt anything like that before she wasn't what you know from my knowledge who was in a christian and so as i have prayed i just fell god's presence and i asked her i said hey are you feel in that and she said yeah i am she said it's totally hot from the top of my head in it's just running down and so you really felt his holy spirit in that served as a testimony to her if she's getting ready to face some of these unknown days and hours that some of the most beautiful moments for me is just every day ordinary moments for you can be authentic in your faith in you can so others what that looks like and demonstrate that to on and i believe that is how we are going to win our world that's how we're going to return hope to communities and that is how we are going to demonstrate god's love and so i challenge you to continue in that and today i really just wanted continue on in the journey of luke ten we've talked about several significant keys in our identity the last suit podcast which you can cut to those but today were really gonna go on because what i want to talk about today is something that is so critical to get in linked with the holy spirit matter of fact i don't believe that you can get linked with a holy spirit without this component it is the vehicle to get linked with the holy spirit there is nothing apart from this okay and so really when we get down to verse two jesus size the harvest is plentiful but the worker.

"Be drawn to that because you know what i don't need to tell you that it is a very dark world out there but guess what this light signs so so great and so do you and so as we dive in today to loot ten this is heart two of learning our identity the church as a whole is in an identity crisis because for the most part we as individuals do not recognize and understand our identity and the authority that we've been giving with christ and so when we come back over to luke ten last week we looked at the word apostle which means to be sent in literally mirrors the one being sent by so as the one being sent as the apostle i literally near the one sending me meaning i look like him i have the same authority as him i am literally an ambassador here okay the word i wanna look at today out of luke ten one butts read it together after this the lord appointed seventy two others and sent them twobytwo ahead of them sorry ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go and no word i really wanna look at here is appointed last week we looked at sat in this week i wanna look at appointed because both of these words have only way in our identity and learning our identity and you guys that is where we have to start in representing authentic faith before going to be real in our faith we have to know what we're being real in we have to know the identity that we've been given and so very interesting we what's going on here if you look at the tapper before in luke chapter nine jesus son out his followed disciples and his foul disciples were really sunao as a symbolism of going out in.
