"lowry" Discussed on The Bill Simmons Podcast

"Norman Powell was hitting going. With when you're in a game like that, like you're gonna tip your hat and at the same time, you'll feel like you probably could have done to close it out. I was afraid to power and the series. He's one of those sneaky guys like he's from another era. We're pointed this out the key averaged sixteen points a game this year, and you look at that and you're like, Whoa, sixteen points a game and like twenty three minutes or whatever was he could just fill it the problem for him as like they were basically had to choose between him and og if they're playing and Siaka, you basically only played two of the three and then they were like fuck it we'll just play. All three of them and it worked I do feel like the Celtics will be ready for that Gimmick but I I look at it from the Celtics side. My biggest fear with team. Heading into this whole thing was you have? To young guys who've who had real playoff success already. But not been the favorites and I think it's different. When you have the expectation of we're supposed to win this. The pressure is on us. The other teams got nothing to lose. They had nothing to lose the year. They almost made the finals eighteen. Kyrie goes out it's like. But we're not supposed to be here and then they keep winning in. You can feed off that see these two guys who've never been in the spot of like Holy Shit we're supposed to win. Things are going our way. How do we do with that and then Kemba who's really never been in the postseason hasn't played an important game since you con- basically and Campbell, was terrible. Repeat. Tear in the game yesterday the granted they did a box one on them. They threw him off a little bit. He got torch defensively and was just clearly inferior to van -vely in Larry. Is that a bad game or is there something more going on there? No, I think I think had a bad game You know about boxing warns are designed to do that as much as they are to like. To really have an effect on what you're doing offensively like your when someone box in one Jewish starts playing mind games with you right it's there to affect the person. that. You're boxing in warning and I, don't even mean necessarily just from. Like purely a basketball standpoint you're in his head what am I, GonNa do like. You, know normal office doesn't work here. I'm out of the game you start pressing a little bit. You shot a couple you don't want to shoot now you're not. Now. You're playing mind games at yourself because you feel like cold in someone else's hot to shoot the ball more like there's a Lotta stuff that goes into that to become a facilitator and I think it just played some games with Kim by it took him out of what he wanted to do. But I've I've seen Kemba operate even in this series I'm not worried about bouncing back in in game seven. I don't think that they have the the answer for for Campbell necessarily. But the Celtics better hope I'm right because without Kemba they would have to have almost perfect games from from Jalen. You know. In Five Games, right? Yeah. they really Miss Hayward, I mean, it's not even worth talking `bout I. I think he brought so many good things to the table and as frustrating as was sometimes, he just knows how to play basketball and the ball moves and win Toronto's doing something like that in game six where they're just like we're going all small that would have been perfect for the Celtics they were. They probably would have taken types out and just had hayward look like we are five small guys are better than your small guys. Let's go. I think with the Kimba piece that I don't understand is if the box in one word so well against him. Why wouldn't the Celtics use that against cutlery? If this is working so well, maybe maybe adapted because everything Toronto is doing is coming through those two guards. SIAKA has been really really terrible even as best game in game four wasn't even that good of a game and they've it seems like they've figured out of hand limits. It's the guards that they cannot handle. They cannot handle the little sticky picks and go under the guy they're shooting a twenty footer. You go over all the in the basket what would you do? If you, let's say you're you're in the Marcus smart spot which I think is a nice comparison. Actually we take two, thousand, six Raja. And you're just Marcus Smart Right? What would you do? What would be your moves? Like I'm guarding guarding Callao restrained up your garden lowry and maybe a little vanfleet and you're also kinda roaming as a free safety a little bit. Yeah. That's that's a good question I always like to start with with guys like that. Trying to keep the ball out of their hands like if I'm if one of them is handling and I and I can probably pick you up ninety four feet. If I'm on the other one like event, please got it. I'm trying to deny call our the ball like I really believe in getting guys office spots if I can get you off of a spy, you know so. That's kind of where I start I. You know I'm a big believer. We talked about this last time I was on the is. As. A defender. I'm only as good as the help you're gonNA give me ultimately in today's NBA because they're going to be so many screen set right so like yeah, I can jam you like I try to be up in your shorts or I could play off of you. There's a screen coming eventually and so. I'm a believer in what you've seen like in some of the Western Conference series where they've just said. All right. We're going to throw a double team at Kawhi. It might not produce over the course of a series, but it screwed him up in game. What was it to like were they just caught him off guard like I was like Oh shit what am I gonNa do you've seen them do it to? You should do it till. Lebron at times like you saw it happened in Utah and Denver series where I'd like to make. Kyle lowry, get off the ball and you've got to pick one because you can't do it to both of them. You can't run around trapping both of those little guards. But I'm GONNA start with. Kyle lowry because I think he's the. That makes that thing Fred van bleeds great and he could probably beat you himself. But I don't think that if you can subtract Kala Kalari from the equation like they're going to beat you more often than you'll beat them. I think that you need calorie what he brings to the table, and so I'm GonNa Chop that off if I can by trapping the shit out of it every time you bring a ball to it..

Thrilling Raptors and Celtics series heading to a game 7

"I want to switch gears. Now to the Toronto Raptors game versus the Boston Celtics obviously, it was gained six I really thought the Celtics were closed. One out. There are a lot of questionable calls this game specifically at the end of regulation there was a no call on a Kemba Walker left and I was clearly a foul, the Raptors one, one, twenty, five, the one, twenty, two in. A double overtime game to push this series to seven games. The best player was Kyle lowry man played fifty three minutes got thirty point three, hundred, thirty, three points, eight rebounds six assists absolutely incredible employed twenty-one Norman Powell had twenty three. He had a big and one after a steal one of the big places the game on the Boston Celtics side Marcus Smart. Twenty three he's been electric lately. Jaylen. Brown continues to improve after that bad game two games ago. He's at back to back bounce back game thirty, one points, sixteen rebounds and two assists Tatum at twenty, nine and fourteen and nine almost twenty nine point triple double ties with eighteen and seven Kemba. Walker was really the only no show for the Boston Celtics, tonight. At Five, points seven assists to eleven from the field and fifty one minutes. Only five points that's abysmal for Kemba. Walker. Especially going into team that I don't really necessarily think somebody that can guard him a guy like, Caldera. Maybe for advance leak got the assignment a couple of times and a couple possessions I understand that but I don't know. Big Win for the Toronto Raptors I really do believe this game simplicitas if I told you from the beginning of the series of toss up obviously the Celtics went up to all Toronto responded to go to tie it to to Boston got a big game five victory I thought that would really seal the series I thought the Celtics would win tonight the close up at the rafters just won't quit man they won't die one of the scrappy EST teams in the NBA. One. Of the best defensive teams than the to hold a team to what only one hundred and what twenty two points in double overtime keep in mind in double overtime. That's impressive. That's playing. Basketball essentially more that's playing what? No about five quarts of basketball the hold somebody to one hundred, twenty, two points is impressive stuff. Can they get it done and gained seven? I'm not sure I'm still going to have to take the Celtics I. Think the Celtics probably should have won this game I thought for a majority of the game. They were the better team and again that no call and Kemba Walker at the end of regulation was a brutal. No call I thought two free throws, and then obviously maybe Toronto a game winner I game tire and not sure. Again Kemba Walker should have gone two free throws at the end of the game. My opinion was a close one but all is fair in love and war the referees for pretty much every game are always going to be considered bad right. Every single playoff game fans are going to have a disagreement with it but specifically, that can no call that was poor that was a bad call.

OG Anunoby's buzzer beater lifts Raptors over Celtics

"I thought it was about to be midnight for the rafters last night you're down to you lose that game no teams ever overcome through ever in the NBA playoffs in a best of seven but Jay in three point shooting League wouldn't it? Data three, by a guy that had just a dozen points comes through and suddenly. Whole, the Raptors are finished somebody else will be the champs suddenly cut right in half third straight night that the NBA has delivered an absolute. Awesome. Stunning finish miscommunication by the Boston Celtics is wide jalen Brown was pissed off Jason Tatum. Yeah Jason Tatum. You're supposed to switching everything you're switching when you actually get screened is what they were doing and Jason Tatum for some reason I don't know if they were in his own or if they're a man to man, it seemed like they were in a man to man. And tatum didn't get screened and just pointed opposite side. Nobody was man and Toronto. Now, all of a sudden is in the series to two one man Taco should jump go do something Taco wave your arms seven. No. He was waving his arms but I thought he should have jumped. You know jump up and down and waving. He was able to get that ball over there in straight shocks I mean look there's norms zones up. Catch and shoot perfect. He pushed at the to the mass was incredible though I mean to pass. It was a Tom Brady pass from Kyle lowry over the wings eight four Wingspan of seven six TACO fall right in the pocket of og on OBI. That's incredible in indeed it was ten fifty tsn there on the call

Toronto really, you know, would have fried. You know, there's there's double to seize these playoff. Great Nick Nurse continues his greatness. We just want to end the coach of the year again. So that's your problem. The Toronto has Kyle Lowry could be out. They don't have a problem with their bench outside of Cairo. Lowry not being on it, possibly if he's injured 100 points in that game. That's incredible, Galen. It is And you know if you look at Toronto's roster, like you said, they're bed has been great. And a lot of people don't know what these guys are. "My name is Kelly Open. I an author an interior designer a product designer and a mother and a grandmother. It was one of my dreams says a child to be an interior designer. I never pursued that. So I'm a big fan of yours. I have some of your books here. I'm a graphic designer. I make commercials for living now. I do content so I'm really fascinated by how you got into interior design and if there were earlier signs in sixteen years old if you can call back a memory or vignette something that was very impressionable in your life that sparked his interest in interior design one hundred percent. I mean I came from an incredibly Autistic background in other words. My mother was in the arts. My father was in fashion. My parents used to drag us around museums all over the world without dragged off feet. But I look back on it now and it was such an amazing thing but I was absolutely obsessed very very young age. My mother says in terms of homes and when I was growing up instead of wanting to go and play with friends school On weekends I lost my mother to go look at show. NBA Storylines Down the Stretch

"Doris Burke is an NBA analyst for ESPN so doors the All star break is over and NBA. Games are back. We wanted to talk to you. About what surprised you so far this season. And how you see the last couple of months shaping up as we enter the homestretch before the playoffs. Let's start in the East right where there is an unequivocal number. One team in Milwaukee they have the best record in the NBA and they are destroying teams winning by an average margin of victory of more than twelve points per game now of the eleven teams that have had a double digit margin of victory over the course of a season. Eight have gone on to win it. All Doris. Is there something that stands between Milwaukee and the NBA Finals? Yeah this is a great question. So in their eight losses the one thread that is consistent throughout those are teams are averaging sixteen point nine threes and philosophically. Their priority is protect. The paint. First and foremost they are so elite. At that that we have not seen this kind of rim protection in the modern NBA. With the possible exception of Spurs team that had both Tim Duncan and David Robinson but the fact of the matter if a team gets hot and really can create shot opportunities then. I think that they can be beat. The other thing that happens is your and you saw in the All Star game. Jaanus is the first player to go twenty five and eleven back to back all star Games but he was over to note points in the fourth quarter because they did playoff teams. We'll do they set up a wall and they said somebody else is going to beat us so well. No one's really doubting the bucks at this point. I think there is still a lot of skepticism about the number two seed in the east the Toronto Raptors. I mean after losing finals. Mvp Kawhi Leonard. They were not seen as favorites coming into this year yet. They have the same record right now that they had at this point last season doors one hand the raptors have been under five hundred against winning teams but on the other they had a lot of. Are we underestimating them? While I'm definitely giving them punchers chance to get to the Eastern Conference finals and a punchers chance to come out in the past historically particularly when Demar Derozan Kyle lowry. Were on the team together. What we knew was they understood how to win in the regular season but they're always seemed to be this level of doubt in their minds when the calendar turn to April but the fact of the matter is. They changed that a year ago with championship. There is a different feel a different presents a different countenance about the entire group and yes unequivocally the record versus plus five hundred versus minus five hundred is concerning but let's remember that their top six guys including Serge Ibaka. Who's having the Best Year of his career? Kyle lowry Markelle Saul Fred Van Bleed. Norman Powell Pascal them. All six of those guys have missed at least ten games so I don't know that we have the clearest picture the other thing working in their favors they have one of the best coaches in the league. Nick nurse wears that head coaches mantle with ease. Why because he's been calling the shots for the vast majority of his career. In any number of circumstances his creative he's fearless. He's a little bit irreverent. And I'm telling you mean ah I give them a punchers chance to get to an east finals and a punchers chance to get out. Did you see this coming at all? Doors not even close and this is the question really ultimately. Do they have enough offense in what you're seeing is to me. What appears to be this grooming of Pascal? Ceac him of all right. You gotta go get your own in those minutes and a playoff circumstance where you don't care whether it's a mid range to a fall away jump shot a jump shot under duress of excellent defense. What matters is I need to put the ball in the basket right now because this game is teetering on our control or there's and we've got to have one and you're watching Pascal. Can he deliver in the postseason? He's been excellent in the regular season. I can't wait to see a play out. I think it feels right now. Like you've got the bucks in a tier of their own and then you've got the raptors celtics heat kind of swirling around each other. There was a feeling ahead of the trade deadline that the heat could vault to that number. Two spot perhaps even contend with the bucks if they really went all in and added Gala Nari. They didn't they did add Igwe Dolla. Do you think that's enough? You know the the last prism through which I saw. Andre Gonzala was a man who was battling an Achilles in the playoff series and seemed to be showing the signs of some age. But what I know. Unequivocally is this man from a basketball intellect standpoint. According to Kerr is one of the smartest in the history of the League. He has got championship. Dna He's got positional versatility on the defensive end that basketball intellect and the ability to process information quickly and to do it under the spotlight of the playoffs. He has all of that. I'm anxious to see how he changes the dynamic the Miami Heat. You know this. They're going to play hard defensively every single night. They're going to mix in one of the most effective zones we see in today's NBA and Eric's bolster is outstanding coach. So right now sitting in that fourth spot how far Jimmy Butler can take them. That'll be interesting. Those young guys. Right Duncan Robinson Tyler Hero Kendrick Nunn all those guys who have performed so well in the regular season when the calendar switches. Can you win with them? Let's see

Mets’ strategy for handling teammates stuck in Astros mess, Rick Porcello will start split-squad League opener

"We'll start with the match his slash Astros because everything these days is slash Astros they have two players on the roster who were members of the Astros in two thousand seventeen Katie Davis and Jake Marie's neck that have any of the mad to have no associated with the Astros had any issues problems conversations that went past what would be just regular spring training conversations with any of the former master players why are you are you honestly don't think so none to my knowledge and by over in the thing you know both guys or rather easy to get along with that Judy Davis injector respect primers Nick is new everyone knows G. D. but they apologize for their trains so you know their transgressions and I I think at least I was told anyway the Davis took some convincing as a matter of fact because I'm not quite sure why but you know he's younger and then maybe a little more stubborn I'm not sure but Bresnik it was deal with it out pretty well I I I thought he owned it pretty well when he it is a little active contrition shall we say no you just that I I I should know better you know by any chance I could stop that I didn't and by should know better old enough or he was there for a couple years came up in twenty thirteen majority traded so he you know was where our baseball Davis was the guy who got them on August the so I guess you can give them a little bit for you know not stepping internal blowing a whistle but yeah both guys I I thought handled it okay and if they haven't had any problems with the teammates really that's good to hear I if more is next association with the Astros is in the past what is his role on this team this year can it be is much is starting a hundred and thirty five hundred forty games and becoming if not the everyday center fielder more often than not is he going to be a guy who bounces around a couple of things how much is it state here in spring training for a guy like Jake Marie thank you know I mean I I think he made quite easy and so more like a hundred and twenty or a hundred and thirty games but that would be a lot as a defense a replacement I think a you know again if he hits mac you know and certainly better than he has your one thing to work against Peru's nectar made him stand out of twenty seventeen was I was this is best offense of season and especially at hold in Houston at minute maid park so the lord I DO you really hasn't been on an offense of contributor y'all note on the land and you know that evil ones and then outstanding season so he's he's got a great love and I I think you're you're you're probably looking at you know he won like ours hi but I think Boris Nick is yeah maybe on that level work be currently in center field running out the opposition but I'm not sure how many games he's gonna start you will get some playing time now these are the question was Ross been pretty open about you're trying to move people around eight beers Purcell's possible and he really at the for the one of the res hasn't even subdivisions book I think you know were a few people are going to be quiet before as they got the call up the calc chop out his time as it goes along fair enough and if we start with the agreement that check Marie think is the best defense in center fielder on his team how would you describe and yeah we I see him playing campaign we've seen him play elsewhere with as you mention traded for Florida into Houston we've got a good grasp on his defense we should have a good grasp on Nemo's defense how would you describe the drop off from Marie's Nectanebo defensively in center field Greg this thing you know I I I haven't seen in a more realistic here I I have seen them there in years past the mad I think he's outstanding rob wall full of boiling though noble is his okay I'd say it's slightly above average and Bruce Nick I think is is an excellent I I guess I would rate him excellent so why you know it's not a severe drop off but I I think there is a drop but only as a question about that all right so here you would be my question and we're we're moving through this in stages of memo is slightly above average your average whatever you are calm and whoever the Mets have been laughed and that could be a couple of different individuals over the course of the season depending on health and coming back and everything I Marie's Nick go into center field NMO golden laughter will Marie's nature's colder left field if he's going to be used as a defense replacement would you suggest and I kind of agree with how does that move the pieces around the chess board your question I think you'll want depends on who is in one appeal but it you know even if you just take the combination of sense but the slash you need Davis I think there will be defensible placement school war and that probably means memo shifting over there are bursting playing center field you know I I again I I I don't know how to search for this experiment here is gonna work out I'm not even sure is going to be on the opening day roster sure he feels he's gonna be there but yeah we'll see as we move along in the spring but either way I think you're probably limited there and again I haven't seen since this play the outfield yeah that's the big question to me down here I think you can hit well you're always here but the problem is you know what's going to be like in the field what's going to be like over the course of an entire baseball season so if you put those two out there I think you're probably going to see their own membership numbers that concern or problem with any company with his son a fan hi dad says finance in the clubhouse you may gin sets medicine the book out of box and present a field says recent club out I'd gotten into a couple debate with friends here the last couple of days who said doesn't bother them one iota it won't affect it to test what is it and talking to the media and I said I beg to differ because there's going to come the night where he doesn't hit and another guy on the team strikes out twice and leaves warmer but runners in scoring for the and everyone is going to flock to that guy and you're gonna have there it's all the tough questions investments are going to sit there with his over three went to try to get out and be defense of regal place that nobody got dog alarm how is that going to play in the clubhouse our guys going to get a annoyed if they get more scrutiny because that's what it says I'm not taking any yeah I think that's always a always a problem on and I think it wears overtime on other guys when we say there's any time there's been an open three with two strikeouts with systems we've never talked to him okay the only time we ever do to our dorm is when he's at an outstanding game it's what he brings to talk to our school but I don't really care if I don't talk to you and it's us for the full year I don't really care well I don't sleep so it didn't surprise me the other day when you said no of the way he did it kind of surprised me honestly after two years away but you didn't shock me because I've seen that before you know he's temperamental let's put it that way and you might say brother Donald no it doesn't matter one of whatever you want to call on that's just the way he is I do think over time that those where on the other guys will walk if they have to answer for him or they have the answer questions one night when they might not necessarily do it but they have to because he will talk so yeah like I do think it becomes a problem over time you know water and individual basis probably not because he hasn't done that Eric what that's we only talk to many of these star outing yeah okay met sedans today that down split squad Saturday when they open up actual spring training games they report Psellos going to give the home game and there is a significant step dad because dad games going to be on TV back here in the New York market anything to read into that day he just show up at camp earlier or is he actually in a bold plan been more impressive and that's why he's getting a first start what we make up for sale getting the spring opening home start no no it's hard to really you because it took us a couple of days to actually get out of Louise ROZ who's going to start this weekend at the it's one thing that a little bit peculiar but we've you know kind of giving him some role so to speak and then given him love some leeway because he's no you're usually yeah we ask you know say Monday or Tuesday you know who's gonna start this weekend or what's what's the line up for the weekend and you know we got to get an answer as to who it is we're we're told today was going to be you know of course all of the whole store I don't make a heck of a lot of the you know he's he's been hearing the phone a couple of old friends already has phase no live BP most of the pitchers have at this point but he was one of the first guys to do it so I think he's just off at that point in time and I I have no idea what they were because I'm not into figuring it had exactly where he's going to face you know those spot in the rotation come opening day I think it's way too early for that so you know I I think it's just one of those things that he's ready to go they're gonna give me the ball and see what it can do last one and I know will day you can get that worked out and you get to see some of you all could see others so I'm not going to ask you to handicap how he's look throwing so far what's Edwin D. as is added to like so far it's been great I I really do and and he does look good the rolling as well to it it was kind of interesting the other day that he was you know asking jurors were certain pictures of a certain pitches that that he threw war will landing on what they saw yes job Lowry barriers portal that as well too so you know he's he's paying attention to detail down here I think you you're probably looking at a kid who came to camp last year and got himself ready but made the difference this year and getting himself ready before camp and now he's ready to go here and has a lot to prove did a lot in the off season Pedro Martinez helped a lot I think that helps as well I think it's confidence is then restored a little bit Louise Ross worked on that a lot and so has Jeremy Hefner too I think he realizes how important he is to what they want to do and I think everybody else realizes swelled to if you have a B. as of the end the games to save games and not give up fifteen home runs in the ninth inning like you did last year it's going to be active with different season that you can you know pretty much put together what you did last year offense of wood so I I think that there's a big difference to be in the house and then I guess the biggest thing mac would be yeah always confidence judges think he feels he's going to get back to where he was in twenty eighteen as opposed to last year and that's a real good sign I'm not saying he's going to get the D. seven states but I don't think you're going to see a repeat of last year at least I hope not because I want to go through that again the I. N. C. yeah you may ever yeah I'm the planet and would good stops thank you very much she we will talk again

Lowry, Siakam lead Raptors past Knicks for 6th straight win

"Six straight wins for Toronto as they beat the Knicks one eighteen to one twelve it wasn't easy for the raptors who gave up a twelve point lead is the Knicks came back to tie the game at one all three in the final minutes but a couple of Nick turnovers in good free throw shooting down the stretch a seal tomorrow's thirty first win against fourteen losses next did lead by twelve early but Kyle Lowry read twenty six credited to switch to his own defense for turning things around coming out of my room a little bit kind of change the game from as being down twelve to Connie can lead and once we get the game close we just have to continue to keep getting better and the Knicks have dropped ten of twelve and sit at twelve and thirty four might make you so New York

"People who did did that. Quite unconsciously created a completely new vision of society A society as a Community of sovereign community of fundamentally equal members in which every member was equal to another and they called it a nation. Okay so let me let me ask you here. So are you saying that you agree with Rich Lowery C.. Because I'm I'm a little confused you said said nationalism isn't necessarily a natural impulse but but it's also yes but it is what gave rise to write democracy. I'm confused here. Yes absolutely right. East is not natural it is very recent it emerged into sixteen and century. Okay but it tease our more than consciousness Andy Tease. Et's the basis of democracy. There would be no democracy without nationalism. So then can you just. We have about a minute to go before. I have to take a quick break here. Help US understand. Stand then I mean you talked about National Socialism in Europe. They're the examples are rife of how nationalism than was was used co-opted. Whatever you WANNA say and turned into almost an imperialist force right? That's right unfortunately history is very complicated and modern imperialism is also a result of nationalism. Nationalism is not goodall aww bent it is reality that completely defines oh consciousness okay so professor greenfield standby for just a second. 'cause we do have to take a quick break break rich lowry hang in there as well. We are talking about rich lowry. His new book called the case for nationalism. How it made us powerful united? "Looks wasn't having it, but we're good now, we're recording. Where here we shown. I've shown up in my sweats and no bra, but we're here. Oh my gosh. Well, how was your travels back home from this weekend? Travels back home or okay? It somebody asked me in the TSA going through TSA if I was related to Kyle Lowry. And I think I did a really job convincing them that I was his wife. If you were his wife, and yes, you're filming on teen. Mom, then. We talk we need to talk about. Maybe they didn't know I was on teen moms. So they didn't they didn't know. Oh my gosh. People are just so weird. Like, I'm I'm telling you, how would I be related to Kyle Lowry. I don't know. Like, I I don't know. He's my second cousins. Child by marriage twice removed. And that's why I'm flying coach and on teen. Mom. The fact that you said that's why I'm flying coach. Like, honestly like, I wouldn't be here. If I was his wife, anyway, how was the rest of your stay in Chattanooga. It was good. We just I after you left. I went in and took a nap for like two hours. And we'll watch a movie I'm not sure if he slept like what exactly was going on in my room? I don't really care. But then we went to eat Mexican at taco, mama. And then went and got ice cream at clumpy us came back and went to bed. So it was pretty relaxing. But it was so rainy and dreary, honestly. But those are like the most comfy comfy those are the most comfortable days. Like when you're just like chilling, e I'm actually really jealous when you texted me and said that you went to taco mama was really really jealous and like. I thought about every decision I had made up until that point because it was just chaos. Trying to my flight was out on was supposed to go out on Saturday. But our photo shoot ran -ly. We none of us got up and wait. He's back up. Let's back up for a second. Because I thought on Saturday morning that kill was already doing hair and makeup. So it was like, oh, okay. She's probably already started. Because all of the makeup persons stuff was in kills room like leftover, right? 'cause I told her I said, she just leave it in my room. So she wouldn't have to bring it back in the morning sill Gail taxi, and she's like are you already getting ready, and I'm thinking to myself kill the shit's in your room getting ready. So long story short our photo, shoot Branly. But I was about to say, oh, how can cute was that hotel? It was so cute. I was so shocked how cute it was. Honestly. So we stayed at the moxie in Chattanooga. And it was so freaking cute. I loved so we I had a double room. So the beds were basically like I don't know how to describe it where your head would go up against each other separated by this really cool like headboard head boarding. I would call it a sex swing. But I don't know how the hotel would feel about that. So I loved it. I thought the hotel was so cool like there was a ton of areas in the lobby like, you know, when you go down in a normal hotel like there might be one or two sections of the lobby, but it's like kind of super plain in your business out there. Like, I felt like the moxie was there was like foosball pool. Just like a couch to like lounge there was a bar snacks. I saw there.

"Like morbid stuff also saw this thing about drive up funeral homes in japan did you see that no where you can literally it allows like mourners to pay their respects from the comfort of their vehicle and they just literally go through a drive through and pay their respects but apparently it was intended more so for like mobility issues or like people with disabilities so i can understand that for them not have to get out but apparently for future is going to be used for also for people who have a time limit or like they're short on time they can like drive through and pay their respects yeah i'm not into it i'm not into it either because i feel like i can understand like the disabilities or whatever to be able to drive through because it is very hard to like go into a place like a funeral home and also like if they have to get like a wheelchair like whatever like i can understand that but to be able to use it just because you're short on time if you're that short on time then you shouldn't be going because it's not that important to you right i mean that's just no i'm not into it i don't i don't buy it and you said they're in japan it's in japan yeah could you imagine like going someone's funeral and just like driving your car through drive thru like you're going to like get a soft drink and like for that i would just not go to the funeral and then go pay my respects after they've been buried you know what i mean yeah because i just think it's disrespectful don't you i will be pissed i'll be so her i mean after the fact you know not in the moment i wouldn't because your attention is on something else but after the fact that it would feel some type of way like no not into it and then on a completely unrelated no i saw something else about americans having fewer babies and i literally just said this like a few weeks ago how i feel like people are more cautious now than they have to be like in like the eighties or nineties like people were dislike hoop out kids and now i feel like people are so much more cautious and then i was randomly like scrolling on new york times and saul this article about american time appear babies and at first researchers thought that the declining for tilleke rate was because of the recession but even as the economy recovered like it was still declining so as of now for the second consecutive year it's reached a record low and like because if for tilleke rate is it though because i feel like there's definitely other so my friend and i just talked about this yesterday she's married for two years and they want to have a baby but she was like our our student loans are so high that they can't afford to have a baby right now so this was what the article actually that's interesting because this article with saying wanting more leisure time personal freedom not having a partner yet or not being able to afford childcare costs or top reason young adults gave for not wanting not wanting or not sure if they wanted children that it was a new survey conducted by morning consult for the new york times and then also on that list was what you just said like paying for school prioritizing education career was on their no pay but leave oh i'm sure i'm sure that obviously those are all those are all factors but like what she was saying was you know they do want children and that is something that they want but they can like what are they gonna they literally are barely making ends meet now which they shouldn't even be struggling the way they are but because of student loans and the interest and all of that stuff like i mean to me i gave credit because i said most people would just have a kid anyway even if they're financially struggling but she i mean she said that the the student loans are like killing them right now like they're just like i and then i was talking to why won't mention names because i don't want them to feel some type of way but i was talking to somebody about his student loans and i'm like i'm blown away because first of.

"Tell me how you got rid of like your sentimental things though because that's like died today okay so first of all when i had the organizer come hope me she got me these like these kind of like they're not big but they're they're big enough for like through the years and labeled them kale isaac lincoln locks and you put the settlement on things in there and then you put it in storage so she's three we have four boxes and then you put the fundamental things in there and then throw everything else out it's so hard though 'cause i i feel like the high tier sentimental okay no highchairs not sentimental it is because it's like where he had his first meal while me not all but like fed himself use arm are you wondering where any of your stuff is as was as a baby i don't wonder mom didn't save shit of me i literally have maybe five pictures of myself as a child i know nothing about myself as a baby and i don't really care do you know what i mean so it's like i just saved the things that i think that my kids would unless you think that you wanna give it to jackson for when he has kids i wouldn't keep it no like this is definitely not something that i would pass down it's not like a type of high tier i got got like a more plastic one 'cause i could clean it better so right like something that you would pass down from generation to generation i definitely won't get rid of the baby bed because that's something that could definitely be used again but it's like i just have like a major problem with it i don't know what my hangup is with like i can't even like wrap my head around like throwing away or like letting somebody else use it or giving it to goodwill and like sitting up there it's like that's my kids like they i just don't think that's like a sentimental i mean i don't know i don't know what to tell you because i'm not yeah i thought you were gonna tell me like some pictures like i try to even if you have to let jackson pick the best ones and you don't tell him what you're doing with the rest or like i don't know put them in like a little memory boxes i called him like a highchair is not something that ever crossed my mind to keep so i can't i'm weird because i'm such an organized person but when it comes to like his things like his baby things i'm quarter of all of those things like i have like rile his baby blankets like every piece of clothing that he's worn like all that stuff well autre we can take a twitter poll should we throw out lindy's to throw out jackson's highchair or do we keep it because it's a weed decision now it's an all inclusive decision yeah i i don't know like i know that answer is yes we should but is it going to happen like maybe not maybe not this week maybe twelve years next week this will wanna keep it i don't care what will thinks that's not important that's really not not important to be perfectly honest so on a completely unrelated note can we talk about the video that we saw on instagram of that woman for mob wives who got in the fight with sarah okay there's a bunch of team on rumors that i wanna talk about it was like semi reading your mind i knew you were going to bring up something that was like sort of teen mom related but then also i was like okay so drita from wives wants to first of all i don't really know what happened apparently it was at a strip club and reminder standing they were getting along and everything was like perfectly fine to each other's faces and then varenne her mouth yes oh that's not like farah at all i don't know her but i saw that instagram video like papa my explorer page and i was like choked i was like oh my god i'm not surprised in the slightest i someone tweeted me and was like oh someone needs to whip fair as at and i tweeted back not me because i don't i.

"That you had to tell me mcdonald story okay so remember back in like months ago i talked about how i was like a really weird kid and out go around to different mcdonalds and collect like the beanie baby toys and like all that yes yes yes yes okay so jackson has been obsessed with incredible 's right now and right now they have those toys yes they have the toys right now and so every day he's been like mom can we go to mcdonalds and i don't let him eat any meat for mcdonald's it's just i mean i grew up eating it there's nothing wrong with it i just we don't eat meat for mcdonald's but he gets french fries apple slices from there and chocolate milk so i was like jackson i'm tired of going and getting french fries apple slices in chocolate milk and buying the happy meal like it's just dumb and he's like but mom they have the incredible toy i really want it and then part of like my childhood liked flashback and i was like you know like get in the car fine let's go and so every day for like a solid two weeks i've taken him to mcdonalds to try to collect like the next incredible toy and yesterday my gosh he finished collecting the last one and he was so happy do you like trade them if you already has one yes oh my gosh but like you had to do it because we've just talked about how you got to do that as a kid so that was like perfect yeah i just had to do like there was just something inside of me that was like you know what i was allowed to do this as a kid and he really wants to do it and he didn't even know that like i did that as a kid i would never tell him because he totally be into it so i never told him that i did that but it's just kind of funny that he wanted to do the same thing and he's like well mom now that i have all the incredible then i wonder what's gonna come out next and mcdonald's is to torius for anytime there's a kid movie that comes out they have the collection of twice i'm just like great what have i started well you started a situation where now you're gonna have to go get him all the stuff all i know i know it's like not that expensive like if i get a drink from there and a happy meal even though we don't eat the meat we the chicken nuggets to my dog it's like it's like less than five dollars i'm like this is like perfect and he thinks he's like won the lottery so anything to keep your kid happy i know how it goes oh my god i was talking about getting up early this morning and you have how happy about it because this weekend is like my dreaded major cleaning weekend and like early to clean yeah like i love to claim but at the same time it's like i don't really want us to my whole weekend doing it but like i know i need to and i'm cleaning out my storage buildings so i need to like get with it and get rid of stuff and take stuff to goodwill and just like stash did that we don't need it in my closet i did my closet yesterday for goodwill yeah the goodwill thing it's just like i will put stuff in a pile to take goodwill and then i won't ever get it to goodwill i've done that before too and ends up back in the leverage unit yeah i get so frustrated at myself like doom it killed his take it you know what i mean just take it a good will just straw off in never think about it again why so yeah i i want i'm actually gonna move so i live my house is five bedrooms and i'm gonna move we moved in here is can lincoln wanted to share their own they wanted to share room 'cause there's at the end of the.

"When i show you these pictures do here because it was that hot that it was like even if i did it was gonna look like it doesn't the pictures anyway oh my god i'm such a picture free click i love having pictures i just i've always loved pictures like way before instagram like it's not even instagram thing i have always been obsessed with pictures even in high school like i had a polaroid had a regular camera out always got like the newest version of the digital when digital cameras used to be super popular oh yeah i remember we have to take those things everywhere do you remember that yeah everywhere is so weird that we did that i remember we would have to like take pictures on the digital cameras and then upload the computer all my gosh we've really did the most to pick shapes folk like to face oh where you would have like ninety five photos on one album and be like those most terrible photos ever not instagram worthy at all i'm glad it was on face i would be so embarrassed to like i don't even know if i still have a my space account 'cause i think i use like a fake email or something like i would be mortified if people found me on facebook on on my god actually i should go look because that's like the my space days are like when we did that remember remember you can put music on my face like when people went profile what's ho funny i thought about that the other day i had this one song that was by for i think it was called clumsy and i had it up on my thing and like the like my grade we would always like oh like when you're done with that song can i have it and i remember like everyone wanted that song and i was like well i'm not done with it and so you guys can't have it i can't remember how we got those did we have to pay for them the songs i don't think so or was it just still lee your delete accounts musher because mine is not an existence my god i found my oh this can't be mine will last me made up of fake my face of you photos oh they changed the layouts and everything but there's sure shit there's pictures here while let's see in is this can't be me this has to be like a fake on this i'm really on my space right now do people still use this or now i'm pretty sure mice face is not existence and i think it is i would not be talking to people who issues in my space really search okay i'm determined there has to be seymour there's an account here but i don't think that one's mine trust me you would know if it was your mind space because if you saw you would be like oh yeah that was it will yeah that's why i think that my god we there's a bunch of me hold on i literally just found three accounts in a row let's see this one this is a restricted profile okay so you're a fake okay so if you've previously listened to the.

"I wish like i could sleep like that bitch all the time i feel so bad i had a meeting with larry and if you're listening to the podcast and don't know who larry is leary is he's a producer a producer for teen mom and literally i call him for everything but we had a meeting set up for last night for when the kids went to bed that's why it was so late and then it ended up running a little bit later than expected and so it was like to mine you just wanna do it tomorrow's like sure i'll wake up both of the curse has the baby but the other two are absurd sleeping and i'm link i could be sleeping too so we're on the same page i have my coffee right next to me so if you hear me goping not why why gosh i destroying a large glass of chocolate milk i drink fat free chocolate milk and it's so good and it's really an addiction but i've been trying to cut down on my caffeine intake trying to limit it to like one off drink a day and it's been hard oh i bet that's so hard i yeah i was i feel like i go through like bingeing with soda like i do love carbonated drinks especially like coke and ginger ale so i will like binge for like a week or two weeks getting them every day and then i'll stop for like a month it's so weird it's so weird but my body hand like handle it it's weird it's like a legitimate almost detox in sense because i dislike crave is so bad right no i get it me so isaac today yeah is it a basketball game at ten thirty i have to say that the arc gate his game last weekend was was rough on him he was upset that nobody was passing the ball and i kind of had to give them some tough love you know like i don't know how much i talked to you about it or if i talked to you about it at all but you know isaac uil good kid you know like i really don't have a whole lot of problems with them but the one thing that i will say he thinks that everything comes easy to him because they can school for example like numbers and science and all of that stuff like comes easy to him so he thinks that when he does things that everything's going to be like that you know and i told them you know they didn't pass the ball because you haven't been practicing so if you wanna be better and you wanna get the ball at the games you have to practice and if you're not going to put the work in they're not gonna pass the ball and he didn't he didn't wanna hear it but i had to tell them it's so hard like when you have to do that and sports 'cause i mean we talked about it on the podcast before am i kind of had to give jackson tough love with baseball because you know it's he's not really to the point that isaac is because he's much younger but it's just sometimes you just have to give your kids like the honest truth in it's hard yeah they don't like it they don't like it and i mean i guess if we don't give them the truth then the world's gonna give them the truth you know and it's going to be much worse well and that's the thing is like i would rather isaac grow up or and lincoln grow up in whatever you know for them to have heard it from us their whole life than for them to be blindsided by the real world and other people like no you're gonna learn here at ascot ball eight years old that no life not everything is gonna come easy and some things are gonna have to work harder i said how how do do you you why do you think that the other kids are so good and he said because they practice said right then like i don't right it's not like it's not obtainable just like he sought practicing so practice so also i have to say that thursday i think it was i went to the beach to take family pictures and it was so ungodly hot like the heat plus the humidity and then we were on the beach so it was just i made the.

"That and who the fuck owns that why do y'all want that and matter of fact let me go to it right now because why does it cost that much money because people do that haven't you heard about any did it to me yes so did it to me okay can you please tell the story about the person it your website name that lives in china okay you guys so i used to have this website called kaelin lowry dot com right like go figure and i had it on automatic renew and when i got my my credit card expired and i had to new one and i didn't realize and in between the time but i needed to renew it and i realized that my credit card had bounced back or whatever someone bought it and they live in china and so kayla dot com is owned by a man in china and he won't respond to emails i've had like my agent tree chow i've offered money like a significant amount of money just to have my own website like your name's not kaelin lowry just give me my website back but my whole thought was like if you wanted the website so that i would buy it back from you you would think they would respond to emails you know what i mean well that's the mindblowing thing like is it going his spam does he not can you not read english maybe he thinks it is spam oh see i but i've had like different agencies reach out to him so i long story short i my website is kill lowry dot com but it sucks because when people like look me up they look me up through kaelin and so kayla lowry dot com comes up but that's not my website my website is kale lowery dot com i just feel like it's so rude in fensive like it's just an easy way for people to make money so they go and buy up like all these names of these websites and then they know that they would be like highly desired names so that if you want it then the only way for you to get it is if you pay life's.

"All right folks greg lowry things are staying with us we've been talking about this antifarmer movement and how it's being encouraged and fostering even by the mainstream media they loved this not just because of the notion that if it believes it leads but also because they need the attention the mainstream media they need to actually foam at this themselves they will created itself and that is despicable and if you are part of the media and you know that there is nothing there that shame on you and you you deserve whatever retribution may be coming upon you in heaven or otherwise in meanwhile there's no surge of this the nazis or the kkk have you noticed this jeff after the charlottesville virginia matter right you don't see this enormous growth of the white supremacist movement the nazis or the kkk any of those groups they just the gone somehow that i mean it's it's like a hurricane so to speak right but the lease with a hurricane you you you know that it was there because you see all the devastation in its wake but with charlottesville it's like what happened to all those nazis what happened to the kkk you would think they would say wow this is just great for us because you know that there crazy in their own crazy way but we're getting all this media attention give me a mike and i'm going to be talking all day long and i'm gonna be writing and i'm going to be on the sunday talk shows and i'll show you what what about the the growth of our membership in such but no such thing you know why because there are so small that they haven't the barely exist i i think there are a couple of kids in some mama's basement only because they want the attention how about that i think there are virtually none of them left anymore and the reason why no that is because knows even gotten in front of a microphone to advocate their hate and the or suggest that there's some sort of new rising and if if if there were you could bet that the mainstream media would be out there promoting it would be talking about it nonstop msnbc in particular and guess what it turns out that yet another supposed leader of the kkk and.
