"Joining us now is Mia caswell, investigative journalist with town hall, first Mia. I want to compliment you on your courage to write these pieces. I'm sure that you are receiving your fair amount of threats and ridicule for writing what is now a series of pieces. I will admit I did not have the stomach to finish your first piece. I just didn't. And it was just so grotesque and so terrible and so horrific. Walk our audience through your reporting and we'll go from there. Yeah, so part one of the four part investigative series that dropped Tuesday. And it just went into the horrifying facts of this criminal case that's playing out in Georgia and the adoptive fathers in the case. William and Zachary Zulu there. Gay married men, they're both now in maximum security lockup, pending trial. And so, yes, I've been following this case since it broke over the summer, so this is half a year ago. And made national headlines and everything. But ever since, there's just been a complete media blackout on the story. And so I've been diving into the court records, all these different court documents that just showing this suburban pedophile ring that's hidden in plain sight and virtually no outlet, local or national, has paid attention to it. So you call it a ring elaborate on that because it seems as if the story centered on these two sexual criminals. So what evidence do you have that it's a ring? Right, so in the 17 count indictment, it charges the adoptive fathers with soliciting at least two men in the Atlanta area suburbs, one hunter lawless and the other one, Louis viscosa Sanchez with engaging in prostitution with their 11 year old adopted son. You just turned 11 in December. And so that just seems like the tip of the iceberg because the one adoptive father said that he admitted to sending the child pornography to less than a dozen people. So there are still a handful of these child predators out there

"And get $100 off a trained cleaning today. 7 O 8. Traffic and weather on the aids to Joe Fox and the W two, you traffic center. And Jenny good evening to you. Let's get started in Maryland on the inner loop of the capitol beltway just after old Georgetown road is the first of two crashes. Looks like we have a quick delay and you want to be careful as you're coming up around the big curve because it's their pavement is wet and folks are moving at speed and then all of a sudden you come up on this crash looks like it's taken at least one of the three lanes right before the split to either continue on the beltway or take Wisconsin avenue three 55 south. And then the second crash looks like it's been moved out of the roadway. That was the first one that we had reported that probably caused the backup and that's just before Connecticut avenue. Then on the rest of the belt where you're moving slowly around the curves, but otherwise moving well with all lanes open. BW Parkway is going to be a little bit slow inside the beltway and as you continue down to two 95 in the district, slow and all the usual places which includes up and over the railroad tracks on Pennsylvania avenue. Case bridge into the district is moving slowly. That's volume only across the 14th street bridge continues over towards about the third street tunnel and you open up with just a very minor delay typical on a weekend. Prince George's county beltway is looking good earlier delays that we had around a run on mills and buoy state university of all cleared up. In Virginia 95 southbound typical volume delays as you head south past lord and across the aqua Kwan the earlier ones in Dale City have cleared out. So just a minor delay as you head southbound 66, the earlier issues with the crash at naughty street are gone. You're flowing freely all the way out to Gainesville with no problems. We did have an earlier crash in manassas 28 at believe it was lowman drive, we'll double check on that one. But anyway, 20 it's moving well at this point. Virginia beltway, no problem the earlier crash that we had on the ramp from 95 northbound to take the inner loop looks to have been cleared, but you do want to use caution that is a very slippery overpass at this point and we've seen a couple of crashes there. So again, use caution 95 northbound to turn and head towards Tyson's Joe Fox WC OP traffic. Too, storm team four meteorologist Steve prince a valley. Lingering showers and also a bit of drizzle in spots this evening in tonight areas of fog we stay in the 50s

everybody was calling in because I was telling that county stadium 19 69 The old for James Brown Yeah Now he was entertaining that director Please give me a chance that he did So yeah I'm glad you got that share of some of your information on the mob Good So yeah Yeah that was a Tim please Louise to do that tune now That dedicated to the one I love That came out way back in the day then It sure did That was lowman pauling and the 5 royales Originally Yeah I knew it but there's another group later Much later the Charles did it But the original was the original was the 5 royals Oh absolutely A lot of people have done that song But yeah the three guys from Memphis and they were just so underrated because they were so good Now okay now what you know about new birth Not much what do you want to know I mean I know what the records were as far as that goes And I know that didn't understand They were originally in a public room that did that warrant and they'd be able to And then our memoir was telling you I think that was the band aid was a mid midnight sun New birth came out of the night lighters They were from Louisville originally Right It was a bag of bands Right And then the night lighters and they had of course Harvey fuqua are the most famous but Tony Churchill also as well and there were a number of other people in that band And over the years some of earth went and fired I think Johnny Graham had been in it and all that But they also were the crawlers as you know on Alvin cash you remember twine time That was the night lighters behind them but they were called the crawlers but my favorite thing before they form new birth when they were the night lighters they had cagey And I thought that was the best instrumental ever And cagey was just wonderful I don't know why I love that record but I do And then they became new birth after that And it was the two brothers in the same too well but young lady She was dying I don't say yes And bogan from the marvelettes Yeah And what about Shirley down here doing so the team Yeah I don't know I guess okay You know okay I talked to you going okay But yeah we would discuss now I will pass that information down because I was bragging about the day on the radio I'm impressed I love that And Louis discussing you know the history of there being phrased and then when he came up with that He was saying let me chest at all Right After he bought the chest brothers had a big piece of that yes Yes but of course I was more at W AWA girl myself But both are good Are you still there Hello hello Oh no We've lost kuan Go on We've lost you Oh no Now I heard you Now I heard you I heard some words Okay All right Yeah okay yeah I said that one reason that Our name is rally James Yeah y'all got to get involved All the music moments But my favorite one of my favorite instrumentals And I don't know why But Johnny D in Ohio welcome back to WGN radio Hey hello How are you All right how's it going It's Boeing It's snowing Yeah All over the world seems like raising all over the world Yeah That's Raining all over the world is a line also from an ELO record but okay So moving along I'm glad I hired a guy to come in the morning with a plow Yeah good for you That's the way to go it You don't right I'm too old to do that That's right That's right But anyhow I told John I wanted to ask you a question about 5G you're talking about three three G four G just for that Now the only thing I know about that role because I know everybody thinks you know everything everybody's saying how you know everything And I say you can walk your high wild knowledge read out of them Yeah I gotta play that again You're absolutely right So what do you want to know about 5G Well what it is all I know is that the G stands for generation Right right Exactly Absolutely And it's a generation of what A generation of digital connectivity in terms of the way cell phones and other devices interact with themselves over the Internet over while not necessarily Internet per se But how Devices connect to each other like your original cell phone that you bought probably was a two G device I'm guessing That was most people got into it then So it's just a generation but the thing of 5th generation and four G was not the direct predecessor Remember from four G we then got LTE which was considered to be a form of four G but anyway The problem with 5G and it is a problem when their marketing it is 5G comes in three distinct flavors And there's low band mid band and high band And when their advertising lightning quick.

"Which is darkness. And no hope, and it's done. And you're out. But you have a say about it. You do. You have a say. And I believe that if I can explain that to you, just a little bit and it can help you in some kind of way in your life sometimes when you do feel like you're going down that freaking corridor to the dark place that you can stop and go towards the light. And that's what a fighter and I believe that to a certain extent that's what Comey did. And what other fighters that we've seen as kind of action. This kind of response. This kind of refusal to be taken to that final place where you're conscious. We on the floor. And I believe that's what it was. I believe that Comey was just saying, just like the fictional character in the rocky movie, Balboa was saying, no, I'm not, I'm not going there. I'm not getting hurt anymore. And I thought the brains of the brilliance of loman checker was different and some fighters as the way his technique, the level of his technique, along with his physical abilities, and his athleticism. But he's not a big puncher. He's not a huge puncher, but he hits you clean he can archer, and he hits you from different angles, but his technique. You know, making a mess, making your pay, you know, his legs. He reminds me early on. He reminded me of a young Pacquiao where Pacquiao's legs, not just his hands, was so explosive, that so fast that he could close a hole. He could close the gap so quick on you, you couldn't do nothing about it. You know, just close the guy bang. And he hit you. And that's what Roman chuckles doing with those left hands. He was just closing a gap on him so fast. And Colby couldn't react to a quick enough. Because of the legs. Everyone looks at their hands and say, oh, look at this quick hands. But his legs are what sets that up. His legs are what makes that possible. And I also at the very beginning can I try to see everything. I think you know that by now you in camp for me, you know, you got to have a habit of picking your nose while I'm walking by the ring. I might say, hey, you're picking your knobs. The cameras are coming in a little while. You get that done. Get that finished, all right? So I saw when they walked out and a lot of people are going to say, what? I saw when they walked out. Now, Comey, and I like the kid, I just told enough good things about him. He said, and what a game kid. But he walked out like somebody, you know, going to New York for the first time walking around and seeing all the sites. He walked out like he was sightseeing that he was not in a bad way, but he was happy with swollen. He's looking around. He's noticing people. He's looking he's saying he'll always see he's shaking hands. He's, again, he's like a guy like almost like a tourist. And listen, he got in there and he showed great heart. He was so great physical strength. Everything. But I'm just saying something that that seemed to be his attitude is maybe that's what kept him loose. Fine. But wow, what a stock difference from. If you notice such things of watching lomon shackle, that guy was walking. He was walking at a brisk pace to get to work. Like a guy like he's walking breast straight ahead, nothing else I'm getting to work. And I'm getting his freaking dropped on. And then I'm going home. I mean, that was the first thing I noticed was, yeah, yeah. That says, and then when I look at his father and then you look at some other guys, you know, whether it's a corner, I mean, forget about Lopez's father a few weeks ago, oh my God. But, you know, but you look at his father, loman chuckles father. It's like looking at Bill Belichick. I mean, he's got the personality of an onion, right? I mean, he's got the, you know, not in a bad way, but I mean he's got put it this way. He's got not the personality because once you get to know mister lowman chakra, you know he's a smart thoughtful man. But when you first look at him and you hear him, well, the first thing strikes him strikes you you don't hear him. You don't hear him unless he has to say something. So he is, he's not that flamboyant guy, he's Bill Belichick. You ever hear Bill Belichick? You were loved of patriots had short team. Bill bell checked out a press conference. I mean, I mean, you know, you're not, you're not going to mistake him, you know, being Mick Jagger, right? I mean, I know what you mean. He's just a great business there. Guy is all business. Yeah, ask him a question. So I was like, what did I go by? Well, we could have done that. We went. He goes..

"Though. I dwell in darkness. The lord alight for me. And has i continued to read these verses. I'm like gosh mica. Seven is a beautiful passage for all of us like in the world right now because it's so much about how the world is dark but where do we turn for light to guide. My world felt so overwhelming. And god was like. That's because you're you're not doing. You're doing really good things but you're not coming to me. You're not leaving any space for me. You're leaving any space for your family your body and your heart and mind no. It's wrong so it knows that it should be unhappy but things seem to be fine. It was a mess. But mike is. Seven is a beautiful picture of like man when things are dark. Where do we find our light. We find it in. Christ says i will bear the indignation of the lord because i have sinned against him until he pleads my case and executes justice for me he will bring me out into the light and i will see his righteousness. God gave me this verse before. I even knew i was going to go on sabbatical and i didn't realize all the work that the lord was going to do in my heart and in my home in the next six months eight months but i am still watching expectantly for the lord. Because he's already done so much in twenty twenty one. I am not the same person sitting here. As i wasn't january. Do i still make mistakes. Yes do i still fill every corner of my schedule. Scher but even my mindset is better on monday. I had podcast at it and i was ready to buckle down and my husband called and said i need you to come and help me. There's a time in my life. When i would have been so entirely frustrated. Maybe even told him no. Because i had important things to do and instead i said okay came around the corner. I'll come help. Guess what. I have free breakfast out of it but more.

"To learn. And i'm still learning not to not to charge out in front of god even now there is it there. Is this thing that's coming. I hope i already recorded videos. I've already written stuff for it Actually there's two projects to projects that are here. They're right here and the right here my heart. They're my head there. My heart and i just can't right now because i have other priorities and have to remember where my priorities need to be so easy to think okay. Let's let's keep going with coupon. It's not about going about being effective. Where goddess place to you. And right now god has blessed me with this podcast with this ability to share with you guys what he is teaching me and to share with you guys. The people that got his place in my life. I've met some really really cool people in the last few years and some of them are slated to come on the podcast here in the next couple months and i can't wait. I need to do that well before we jump into other projects i i believe he has really big plans for the journey of ruth and a really big plans for myself and my family. But i don't wanna make the mistake of moving until he's ready believe me. Some of those projects are ready. Whenever he's he's when. I feel like there's time but right now just thinking about starting some of those like oh my gosh. I will admit that one of the things that i think is really beneficial is having friends or a husband or a child in your life that you can bounce some of these things off of because i also sometimes so afraid to move and so like starting this podcast. I would have started six months later than it actually did. I was like oh yeah. January twenty twenty and my husband was like august twelfth. Two thousand That's that's can six weeks he's.

I think we could probably like plaster on every billboard in america for people to see hopefully people are moving in the direction that god has asked them to. Hopefully they haven't gotten stuck like well. I don't really know. I don't really know if i'm supposed to move yet. If the lord is told you to go go. But then i think once we go we start picking up these things along the side. It makes me think of a grocery shopping as you're walking down the aisles. Are you a list person and you only get. What's on the list. Some people say that online grocery shopping is perfect for that. Because then you don't get extra stuff you only get the stuff that's on your list or are you one of those people that walks through the. Oh yeah that. I wonder if we need more that. Yeah we could always use more. Oh that looks yummy. And you're throwing in all of this extra stephania cart and then you get up to the checkout and you're like ooh..

"Who got his created me to be lesson to was that we should not move or start until god tells us to and man. I get lots of lots of ideas sometimes. They don't necessarily know how to get there and that's where it helps to have my husband because he can kind of see some of the next steps. He's an idea person too. So you know to idea people in one house. Ooh lots of ideas flowing but we should not step into or step out in a direction unless we know that that is the direction god gave us. Now i want i want to give a biblical example of this and i want to give a little caveat the biblical examples that when the israelites were in the desert and we see this in numbers chapter nine when they were in the desert god placed a pillar of cloud. Yeah a cloud in front of them and during the day you would see it was a cloud and then at night it would be a pillar of fire so that they could see it in the darkness of the night and the people did not move unless that pillar was gone now. Now i'm beginning to wonder if i was wrong about the fire different part anyway. We'll my biblical scholars. Look that up. Anyway there was a cloud a cloud that rested on the tabernacle here. It is Rest on the tabernacle and as long as the cloud rested on the tabernacle it meant the presence of god was there and they were supposed to stay as soon as that. Cloud lifted at matt go. It's time for you to move move on. That could have been in the middle of the night. If the cloud moved they were supposed to move as well. If the cloud was resting they were to stay. They were not supposed to move on without the presence of the lord. And i want to encourage you to think about that part of the reason why i was so overwhelmed is because i was trying to move on without the presence of the lord and trying to do everything can i do everything. Sure did i have the gifts to serve in all of those capacities sure. Was it too much for a twenty four hour day. Yes and i recently heard a quote by peter scott zero. He wrote a emotionally healthy discipleship and he said don't make the mistake of doing more than what god.

"Was a really peaceful five months and then we today and it's like okay. Now what do we do. What are these things. Do we pick up. What needs to stay on the plate. What do we need to pick up and wouldn't know. I jumped right back into my old habits. Well we've got all this stuff done for ready for the podcast and There's a lot to kick off and we're going to add youtube and So therefore we're going to need to get some things to actually help with video production and we're gonna we're gonna do a redesign of the podcast are not pass the website. We're gonna do. A redesign of the patriarch page. I want to get a more more up on. The socials like quotes and and oh and i want to design Different colors and different color schemes. Anyone seeing more like just heap on that plate. That i just cleared off now. I'm not saying that any of those things are bad things. But what i and it didn't take me getting in over my head before i realized what i was doing and i slammed on the brakes. We spent the last six months reconnecting as a family finding more time together. And now you're going to jump right back in and fill every single moment of your time doesn't make any sense at all. Yes relaunching a podcast takes a lot of time. But what does it look like to be really purposeful with that time so that it's not overwhelming you. What does it look like to take your business and put it in. Its right place in your life. So that your marriage your kids. Your home are not being left in the dust of whatever. Chaos your job creates. That's less than i just learned. What is it like.

"Download the bottom of the bottom of the pile and that's how it was living my life many people who know me know that. I'm not the most organized person so the idea of setting a calendar setting schedule for days. That was not something i was doing and so my life was run by whatever the most urgent thing was i was just jumping to the most pressing fire. And that's it. I also was not really finding joy in the things that were going on in my life. And i do think that part of that was still processing the grief of losing my mom. I'm i'm sure i don't really like to cry. I don't really like to show emotion Do i know that emotion is good. Yes do i think it's good for people to show emotion. Yes am i working on that. Yes has motherhood helped me. One hundred percent I guy more now. After having my boys than i ever did before But you know my mo. when. I'm grieving is i kind of stuff at down and i feel my thing my my life with things that are that are gonna take my mind off of it and because my life was so full and i was going from one urgent fire to the next to the next to the next. I also wasn't giving myself time to grieve and so there came a day. Where once again once again. I was feeling completely overwhelmed by what was going on in my life and in my home and i was having a conversation with my husband about how i was feeling that day. How was feeling a little overwhelmed and And he was asking some questions. It was not a heated conversation. But you know he was being honest with me trying to kind of understand where i'm coming from and and offer me outside perspective.
