The Economy Is What's Driving Voters to the Polls

"Right now as it stands, Donald Trump is the FrontRunner in my mind. He's the front ready for president. I'm sick of the drama that surrounds Donald Trump because of these leftist dickies. He can't stand them. I'm sick of them crying every day about him. But at the end of the day, I still want him to be the president. Now I will say that there's people that I've talked to in the lounge and people that are Democrats and never trumpers and they said that they'll vote for desantis and they wouldn't vote for Donald Trump. I want to know what you guys think about that. We posed this question on the show before, but I really want to know what you guys think if you want to call in and give some insight. We did a poll on my YouTube channel. And I'm going to look it up so I can get the accurate and accurate number of how many people actually participated in the poll, let me see community tab, look at the poll. We did a poll, it says, who do you want? To be the chosen Republican candidate to run for president in 2024. We had a 127,000 people participate in the poll. Obviously, 100%, maybe 99% of these people are conservative. But 55% of people said they wanted Donald Trump. 40% said they wanted Ron DeSantis. We did another. We did a few other polls on here. Just so you guys could be aware of what the people are thinking, especially on the YouTube channel. And these are significant amount of people on a poll. I mean, all of these are over 100,000 people polled. One of the things was, and I know some of you guys may have comments about this. What issue do you think would drive voters to the poll most in this year's midterm election? Gun laws, apportioned economy, social issues, other. 90% of people said that the economy, inflation gas prices and stocks. 90% out of a 153,000 people, they voted that the biggest thing that's going to make them turn out in the midterms is the economy.

"Anyway, I packed my my pillow products. I packed the pillow last night, my travel rolling go pillow. I packed my my pillow lounge wear. I packed my my slippers. The all season my slippers. I'm not packing the geese of dream sheets. That might be a little too much to carry on the plane. I still don't know if I got to wear a mask to Germany or not. It's mixed. Delta doesn't give me a straight answer. Delta seems to suggest we're not going to have to wear the stupid mask for 9 and a half hours in the flight into Munich, but they're also saying, yeah, but some companies that require masks might need you to wear the mask as you get to the airport. And I'm like, I think that means when we get off the plane. Anyway, my pillow dot com. Thank you for supporting a patriot like Mike lyndell. Thank you for backing my pillow at a time when literally Walmart canceled them. We're all about by cuts here on the Mike Gallagher show, not boycotts. State of the Union Address Will Be Different, Psaki Acknowledges

"Secretary wilkie, we're talking about in the break, this administration, tomorrow is the State of the Union, just the sheer fact that sake confirms that the weekend that, yes, we will mention Ukraine in the State of the Union, is mind bending, is it not? It's not surprising. I mentioned on television this weekend that this is faculty lounge lunacy. Yeah. Running this show. The notion that in the midst of a nation of 40 million being overrun, we have a senior White House official who once passed for being Secretary of State. Say that he hopes that Putin will stand by his climate change promise. For those who missed it, we played the cut from cpac, John Kerry, the climate czar, actually said three days ago, he is worried that this war will distract us and Putin from the question of global war global warming and climate change. It's a bachelor. It is. You can not, this is what the Germans used to call cloud cuckoo.

Kelly Shackelford Walks Us Through Arguing With the Supreme Courte

"To a public school. And this is equivalent. And a number of the good justice is asked this question. They said, so you're saying exeger Exeter? Consider. The same example that I used is equivalent. Yes, it's equivalent because there's no religion in it. So this is the argument like St. Paul's or episcopal outside what this quote will be religious, but not really would be, I guess those are religious, but you accident is secular. Now why this is important, though, is people say, okay, it's about Maine. No, no, no. It's much bigger. Yeah. Because there are school choice programs every Arizona, for example. And what this will mean is if we win, and I do think we're going to win. Probably late June, along with the abortion decision, this will be another one of the controversial decisions. But if we win, it'll mean that from now on when you have a school choice program, you can't exclude religious schools. It's a big deal. You think about all the years now we can't, where there are no choices like that. They're going to come into existence because people who now as parents wanted to pick those types of schools, they'll come together and form those types of schools. So isn't like a huge difference in a lot of people's lives from here going forward. So not everyone gets to argue in front of the Supreme Court. Walk us through it, that's like. So you wake up super early that morning, you've been prepping like crazy. Just walk us through the kind of the game day of arguing and the United States Supreme Court. The most nervous I've ever been in my life was sitting in the lawyer's lounge before the argument. Because you're not in there yet, right. So this was not the first time you've argued. No. And I was second, in this case, there was another guy who never argued. He was we let him have his first time. He did a great job. But

"May be in the waning days of summer. But they're still plenty to do and as we do most fridays. We are getting some recommendations for arts and culture events. This weekend brendan kiley. Covers arts and culture for the seattle times. Brendan welcome back. Hi thanks so much for having great to have you okay. Your first pick is for a campy lounge show we like camps and we like lounge so tell us more about this right so it's called. Mrs pacman breakout. It's at the west hall of the century ballroom on capitol hill and it runs Thursday through sunday and The character is based on the iconic eighties video game character. Miss pacman by this fantastic comedy actor. Scott shoemaker who anthropomorphized her But made her sort of a bitter and angry trainwreck. Oh that's hilarious brennan. I used to ride miss pacman for like forty five minutes on a single quarter. I'm giving myself away there. But i want i which she can't be a train wreck. She's miss pacman. Well i'm impressed by your video. Game skills But yeah the ideas that she peaks in the eighties and has been cratering ever since and now. She's trying to resuscitate her career as a lounge act. But she's a mess you know she sings. She dances sometimes begrudgingly. But what she really wants to do. Is tell us confessional stories about her divorce in her pill problems her affairs her wreckage and there is a dose of schadenfreude in there which makes it feel like a bit of a guilty pleasure but his entertaining is that is. There's something else going on here. Who was all about cruelty and making fun of her. The show wouldn't work You know there's something relatable about her and her frustration with the world. I think if you ever feel like your life has been one long blooper reel or people aren't taking you seriously as you like. You have a friend in miss pacman.

Dog King: Burnt Bun Breakfast

"Today. We find dog king king of the dogs sitting on his throne gazing out at his kingdom out in the streets. The sun was hot and humid. As a pool of drool and the roads were scorched enough to skull the paw humans were bustling around head down headed to work and traffic clogged up all the best walking spots. That was all okay though because the kingdom the alley behind the laundromat was shady and cool as the dirt under a deck and more than that. It was a summer monday which could only mean one thing time for a burnt bun breakfast dog king called spilling too heavy trash bags into the crowd of waiting dogs from the bags. Wrinkly crinkly sides burnt hot dogs and hamburgers and stale buns spilled onto the dirty ground. It was kind of like christmas. If christmas smelled like ketchup and mustard day-old meet burnt bun. Breakfast was their summer monday tradition. Where the dogs gathered all the burnt barbecue thrown out from the weekend before and had themselves a feast. A whole mess of matz had shown up for this one. There was the usual crew of pickles and rambo. And anne plus some lounging. Labs hungry hounds. A beefy boxer boxy beaver and a group of rowdy terriers fresh from a run at the dog park pun breakfast best fist. Crooned pickles the chihuahua. He leapt from his little pink bike basket bed and shook himself awake. Nothing like a good chart burger with the extra black bits for flavor. You don't see this every day. I see these literally every day said rambo. My mom likes to grill all the time. And i get all the one. She messes up. I think sometimes she messes up on purpose. Because i'm her special handsome boy. No way said pickles yes way. I'm totally her special handsome boy. She tells me all the

The sopranos was first television. Thanks and I realized that a lot of the movies that i were doing. Were you know they were pieces. Shit and that the writing was fantastic. You didn't audition for the sopranos or did no. I didn't even give you the chance to ask that question. Did i know that's okay. I'm just curious because david was already in contact with the already had a reputation. You'd already done a lot of work. So i i don't think everybody not. Everybody did not everybody. But i'd say seven percent ninety eight percent. You're one of few. That didn't yeah. I and i remember the launch. That i have with david. And we're talking about this film and it didn't go you know for whatever reason and he you know this again. A couple of years prior the sopranos and from that little meaning. I think he kinda thought this could really work. I don't know if my agent suggested it to him. Or i don't know how but it was a phone call to the house. And and then he realized i didn't even have scrip yet. He was saying you got twenty four hours to decide. You know i really need to. I think you'd be great at this and no one ever cast you this and that's all it took called him the next day and said man. I'm in kind of hand picked a lot of people you know. That's that's the way did things that he used people from the past. You know when he was on rockford files and other shows he brought him along ten years later. Yeah yeah forget. And i'm forever a again. I for forever grateful and indebted to him for that and it was so interesting. We we'll filming it. he said. Are you having a good time. And i said i am and he said you know we're going to we're going to bring you back I how do you like john. Patterson director and i said i think he's terrific amid he really handling me well and he said I think he's gonna do your next. And i said that would be. That would be terrific. I love you know it really was that was about overcoming. All the you know the thanks. I mean you guys are daunting room to be in you looking around going. God he starts. This isn't a drill and we walked out turning around to look for smoke and and that's when we saw everybody running crying and so we went to commit park and waited and watched the swat teams. Pull up. And i remember saying like this is crazy. Like why is this something huge. Just probably happening somewhere else. I mean we had no idea no idea because we at the opposite end of the building and the teachers told us to just walk home or go somewhere in. My parents lived right behind the school. But we didn't want to walk to my house because we're like what if there are people in their shooting and they get out and start running around my neighborhood in kelly's dad at that point had pulled up and he's like he knew she was safe and so he took me and we went to try and find my parents and at that time our triage was that lee would elementary school but trying to get there with all the road. Closures i mean. We ended up parking in somebody's driveway and running the air. "Those who don't know aviator nation give us the cliff's notes. Okay so yeah. Aviator nation is a lifestyle brand that i started basically in my garage and southern california about fifteen years ago. Fifteen years that's pretty great. It's kind of crazy to even say that. now. I'm like wow time. Flies was the concept the same as it is. Now i'm seeing some amazing lounge wear at leisurewear had have you kind of veered toward that category in the those categories in the last year. Or that's always been kind of court of the brand. Yeah it's funny That has always been quarter. The brand i mean my passion since i was young has always been to be super comfortable and I love sweats. And i love. Really soft t shirts and Really that's just you know since i was young. I've worn vintage t shirts and super comfortable sweats like all the time. And so yes. I mean when i started the company might goal was pretty much to create something. That's so comfortable. That i would want to wear it every single day. Myself and You know now that athleisure is such a big deal and people are accepting tracksuit in the sweatsuit or whatever you wanna call it pretty much anywhere you go. It obviously works to my benefit but that is definitely what we have been doing since day one. Yeah are you your customer. Who is your customer. Do you can fit the demo. Yes so. I absolutely am my customer. When i when i started the company it was specifically make clothes for myself. I just really. I've always been very very picky about what i'm wearing specific to being super comfortable and specific colors and and it's funny i just i just could not find anything in the stores. That was what i wanted to wear. And it started with me really searching and vintage stores because i found that i was. I was more excited to wear vintage clothing because stuff that was made in the seventies and early eighties and stuff like that was definitely more the style that i wanted and so i found myself looking for close flea markets and thrift stores and stuff like that and then i realized it's so hard like i spent a whole day looking for like won t shirt. Because it's not easy to find t shirts from the seventies. It's like can find stuff from the nineties and two thousands but it's hard to find the really old good staff and so finally dawned on me. I'm like what am i doing spending a whole day looking for a t shirt. Why don't i learn how to make this That's just always kind of been. My personality is figuring out how to make

Bengal Tiger Spotted Roaming in Houston Neighborhood

"About the tiger? Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Somebody sent me that video last night. I don't live out that way. We posted it to social media. You could find it on all of our pages. Twitter, Facebook big goal. Bengal Tiger was roaming the neighborhood on but pretty nice neighborhood fairly close to town. I mean, it's west of Houston. Out around Memorial and Highway six. If you're familiar with that area real close to a giant park named after George W. Bush, Yeah, care for that, anyway. A Bengal tiger was lounging and someone's front yard kind of prowling up and down the street. People were pretty surprised to see a tiger. Okay, So it sounds like some guy had the tiger living in his house. Yeah, and before he came out and realized the tiger was out of the house. His neighbor came out with a gun. Yeah. Waller County deputy who lives in the neighborhood pulled out his service weapon. Now the tiger doesn't see that as a command to stop. The tiger doesn't know you pulled a gun on it right? Exactly. Asses. The man the you know, deputy of the neighbor is pointing a gun at the Tiger. The Tiger's owner, We assume ran outside said Don't shoot, Don't shoot and then runs up to the tiger kisses. It kisses the tiger took him by a scholar and took him into his house. And then while people are out there with their cameras filming, he came back outside with the tiger loaded him up in his truck and then drove away before the police could get there.

When Should You Pivot Your Podcast's Subject?

"Today's question comes from greg. Yes this is greg collins. I have the podcast substitute teachers lounge with you guys. It's it's done pretty well recorded about eighty episodes as you can expect. It is very much a niche market and at times it has been a popular enough to get one hundred downloads a day. It's been ranked as high as number fifteen in education for kids and apple. But as you might expect right now it struggling more because as more and more schools are on virtual. Learning fewer substitute teachers are needed. So my question is this. Should i change my title. Should i just you know. Hang in there until the worst of this is over a lot of advisors for teachers to but teachers very much more saturated. So what would you be your advice. Be for a niche podcast. That is currently struggling. Should i hang on our water. Some of the things. I could try. Thanks for your question. Greg for most podcast listeners. The subject of your podcast synonymous with the identity of your podcast. Which makes sense since. Most podcasts revolve around the central theme or subject. But what happens when you're ready to change the subject of your podcast. Today's video will talk about the reasons why you would want to pivot your podcast subject in the strategies to do it successful for starters you could find yourself in a similar position to greg's where you find that your podcast subject has undergone major industry changes that has impacted your ability to produce effective and relevant content. Or maybe your podcast subject. Something topical or time sensitive or your favorite netflix. Show that you were playing launch. An awesome podcast just got cancelled after season. One can you believe the audacity of net flicks a cancel it after season. One if your reasons aren't related to relevancy or industry changes. Maybe you've gone a point in your podcast journey where your passion for the subject. Just isn't what it used to be as someone who's been podcasting since two thousand thirteen about comic books my passion for the subject has definitely wayne. I've also considered altering my podcast subject to something different. If you're at this point in your journey maybe it's a good time for you to consider pivoting your podcast subject to something that lines. Closer to your current passions.
