"Stores on Fifth Avenue also the Nordstrom rack at thirty first in six and a bunch of people arrested in a much quieter so how was they were trying to break in terms of the Louis Vuitton store but again so how dramatically quieter but there's this feud between governor Cuomo mayor de Blasio was earlier in the day Tuesday the governor suggested he actually had the ability to displace the mayor and bring in the National Guard calling the mayor in the NYPD's handling of this crisis a disgrace the mayor called into ten ten wins to say areas if someone has been working there referred to the entire organization if you want to pay commissioner said he's a Big Boy the SEC commissioner Scheck so let's not mince words and play games someone is complex trying to put blame on other people this is what happens when it does seem there was some effect from this curfew that will continue again tonight Glenn Schuck ten ten wins here in mid town through Sunday as a matter of fact chief of department Terence Monahan disagrees with the governor's comments regarding the NYPD and perhaps now so does the governor his office called and apologised to staff to me at all he called the commission a directly to drive that that's not what he meant that he did not mean that I had to put down the place sauces I hope you will come out publicly and say that again today during his press conferences with the men and women of this agency have done a remarkable job in probably unprecedented times he was on the today show this morning where he said he thinks last night's eight PM curfew worked well your car if you really helped out sure I'd take it out of the neighborhoods people that didn't belong there you know eight o'clock helped a lot a lot of peaceful protesters protesters that was still broadcasting pass state recently are we allowed to continue but when a group of people who are looking to cause mayhem broke off we were able to take care of them very quickly and again the eight PM curfew has been extended through Sunday among the many unhappy with the mayor's handling of the unrest in the city PBA president Pat Lynch when it's twelve o'clock.
Trump to Deploy Military to Quell Riots
"Pain a lot of despair a lot of violence in America again last night in New York City the iconic Macy's department store was breached I saw a video of looting taking place in the streets of Manhattan the big fancy apple store the the glass doors shattered in Las Vegas a police officer was struggling with a suspect and somebody else came up behind officer shot him in the head that officers reportedly on life support as we speak four officers shot in St Louis police officers and first responders all over America are under siege sort of feels like one of those Hollywood movies like the purge and the president is of course trying to navigate this country in a way that very few presidents have ever been it's been challenged the president was mocked and taunted for supposedly hiding in the White House so yesterday he came out from the White House addressed the nation and talked about his responsibility to keep Americans safe the president from the rose garden talked about mobilizing all available federal resources civilian and military a lot of people are expecting that he is going to invoke the into the insurrection act which I I I cannot imagine why governors or mayors or anybody would object to the U. S. military assisting law enforcement attacked and keep people safe here's the president said yesterday from the rose garden I am mobilizing all available federal resources civilian and military to stop the rioting and looting to end the destruction and arson and to protect the rights of law abiding Americans including your second amendment rights you know speaking of the second amendment rights there was a video that went viral of a Florida sheriff that I had a pretty powerful message sheriff Grady judge of Polk County Florida reminded the looters anarchists and violent people to think twice before heading out to the suburbs of Polk County Florida but we have received information on social media but some of the criminals we're going to take your criminal conduct into the neighborhoods I would tell them if you value your life you probably shouldn't do that in Polk County because the people of Polk County like guns they have guns I encourage them to own guns and they're going to be in their homes tonight with the guns loaded and if you try to break into their homes to still the set fires I'm highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns that's a sheriff of Polk County Florida now all of course on social media full who are anti gun people who are against the second amendment are livid at that share of making that suggestion but that's just the reality for a lot of homeowners and a lot of residents I've seen all kinds of video of homeowners in their driveways fourteen and pushing back violent people from their property there there's there's nothing easy about any of this because the most important take away is that the message behind the anger and the hurt and the heartache of George Floyd's death is being obscured by all the violence and my big fear is that there are a lot of people who don't really see a difference they believe that burning down somebody's store maybe a a an immigrant or or I'm a minority owned business is somehow acceptable I'm afraid that there are peaceful protesters who really don't mind the threat that the White House was under and continues to be under over under frankly it seems to me that people were angrier about the president visiting St John's Episcopal Church last night than they were looters in violent people trying to burn it down and that's very that's a very bitter pill to swallow this is a historic church Abraham Lincoln worship there before he went to forge unity was assassinated every president has prayed there trump went over there and held up a Bible his Bible apparently and the left went crazy they were livid what would you say you're angry that he's hiding in the White House the language he leaves the White House of course they have to clear the protesters out of the park for him to get there they got a clear path for him to go anywhere what is going to do the guests in a motorcade drives to to the to the airport or whatever he does I mean for crying out loud if protesters are blocking a park and I and I get the optics of it I really do I can appreciate somebody saying well you know they're they're clearing out of park using tear gas to clear the way for the president to go visit the church the president decided to have a very symbolic act I'm supporting a house of worship but even the bishop whose diocese includes that church condemned president trump for what he did and that's that's hard for millions of Americans understand quite frankly that's hard for people to accept one would think that demonstrating a viable the need for a return to our faith and even prayer one would think a bishop would welcome that but that doesn't that doesn't really compute when you hate the president this much when you hate the president was such a burning passion you don't care what it what he does you're you're gonna complain if he's in the White House hiding in the bunker as people of like to put it you're gonna complain it becomes out delivers an address to the to the nation of of trying to keep America safe there's nothing he can do we know what trump haters expect they don't even want to be defeated on November third they wanted to just quit they wanted to resign right now and anything short of that is unacceptable and I challenge trump haters you're listening to the show to tell me that I'm wrong you don't want to wait for the election if you did why would you what I have this kind of reaction to the president supporting St John's Episcopal Church president could invoke the insurrection act it makes no sense to me quite frankly what the what the delay is and we're gonna break this down for you just a moment what the insurrection act means that was signed into law by president Thomas Jefferson all the way back in eighteen oh seven the president seems to suggest that he's doing just that short of him the the formality of invoking the insurrection act here's what the president said yesterday we have a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them do you know how many governors have already lined up to say thanks but no thanks start with New York governor Cuomo apparently one on CNN and said nope not here as if the NYPD can't use the help I don't know governor Cuomo has seen but they are they have their looting all throughout Manhattan they're they're they're breaking into stores stealing apple computers a Nike shoes and Louis Vuitton bag overtime bags they're breaking down order and law governor of Illinois said apparently the same thing these

Louis Vuitton Buys Second-Biggest Rough Diamond Ever, Eyes Top-Five Jewelry Position
"Luxury retailer Louis Vuitton will soon be home to the second biggest diamond in history last year Canadian miner Lucara diamond found a one thousand seven hundred fifty eight carat diamond at its votes one of mine and struck a deal to turn the rock into a collection of Louis Vuitton jewelry right on the big Tiffany Dale and now they do something on this on the side which also helped boost their profile and let people know you shall be a makes a a big indictments against some seasonal coffees mining indictments for Bloomberg news in London he says this is part of LVMH's big push into luxury jewelry coming just after buying Tiffany in a sixteen billion dollar deal so not only is the timing for this huge diamond exploration ideal probably a good opportunity for them to get some serious coverage and and marketing by using this very large diamond but diesel says this document is not that great it's unlikely to be worth what some of the other big gyms were worth so what makes it so rare everything just to survive at this size and not be pummeled

concrete barricades compressing a giant portrait what we just eventually those where he walked but I don't think there was a way if you would walk maybe that's why in the visitor's parking lot her name was on there because she got off right there where the buses walked around to the center they walked across yeah if she did that maybe she was lowered over by the visitor's parking lot somebody could call over yeah to a bunch of people who lived in some of these high rise storms we said they could watch the visitor's parking lot and there were always people around it around that time of night and she said classes were classes are getting out there's all sorts of people moving around and if anything happens you know probably if she was grabs who with the screen she was lured like that many other serial killers I need help here the technique of doing without any like the classical was Ted Bundy and university campuses if he can he was hurt looks yeah it's amazing these predators they can be the first thing that we teach at read kids use your voice yeah a most of the kids we tell kids be quiet time you keep telling me that if anyone tried to grab me to just scream as loud as I could because people come to fire yeah here were walking right now in the colonial slot is to get a feeling of the campus why do you day that like it because there's no evidence in her dorm or not people around if she had a she had made it to the area she would have been well speculation would go right as you can hear here as I'm talking yeah there's an act of this would be a good place to take someone even it was a little this is not we got scared you have this is not a good place to any person there's no opportunity presented itself for the individual just right as you said that the name on that is an indication that she was word we do not believe that she was up on nor did she ever come because of losses were left so there is no evidence if you have money on the table she you know there's no evidence of her planning to run away and there is no evidence of her actually making it to the door people who were in the streets there with yeah that they didn't hear Susie entering the room all the phone ringing all night phone records from the night she went missing showed that she was his boyfriend rich content was calling her dorm room phone for a good portion of the night there are nine holes including the tower that make up colonial Susie resided in Clinton hall diagonal from where we enter the clock all was not in session when we visited campus so when you arrive to her fault we knew that getting access to where she once lived was a long shot because we don't want to get anyone in trouble I won't go into the specifics but we were able to gain access to Clinton hall raising that question how secure dormitories actually are we made our way through the lobby and up the stairs to the second floor looking around at the linoleum floors the concrete walls the narrow hallways indoors it's clear that not much has changed over the past two decades we walked to room two oh six and look at the door this was where Susie left this was where she studies listen to music played on the computer talks on the phone with her friends and family this was where she never arrived on that night of March second nineteen ninety eight before we left we decided to look around for four we looked at the small single stop bathrooms in the shower room the shower room was so much smaller than I imagined there are four stones forming a queue with curtains for doors is two people were to get in or out of the shower at the same time they would quite literally run into each other it is interesting that goes to show that of course the woman of course she would have no the morning after she was last seen Susie's boyfriend rich called her parents docking Mary said did you know Susie was missing in the late nineties people didn't communicate the way we do today now the majority of us have a tiny computer within arm's reach staying connected to our loved ones constantly with tax email social media posting messages or phone calls but in nineteen ninety eight it wasn't uncommon for the average person to not be in constant contact but Susie wasn't the average late nineties don't choose computer savvy and stayed in constant contact with her boyfriend and family on a daily basis it was a specially rare for Susie not to update rich when she returned to her dorm from work or ignore his phone calls to her dorm room so the next morning when he hadn't heard from her keystone the line's immediately reported her missing to campus police but we're told that absences like this were common for college students that they shouldn't worry and she would show up again soon parents did not agree this wasn't like Susie she didn't party she didn't use drugs or alcohol it was mid terms she wouldn't mess such an important time her dad spent the majority of those first couple days at you while working with campus police trying to figure out what happened home waiting by the phone in the hopes someone would call with information on where seems what that next day she had an idea to call the bank and ask the teller if there had been any transactions and Susie's ATM card there was a twenty dollar ATM withdrawal on March third at a steward's in Albany did you see take out that twenty dollars the day after she was last seen did she lose her wallet and someone was able to figure out can someone close to Susie take out money did the person responsible for her disappearance do Xactly Corporation - Sales Performance Management
"Guests. I'm excited to get on today called Chris Cabrera, and he's the CEO of exactly and also the author of game the plan and exactly make south performance management software on a used by some of the biggest brands in the world, so Salesforce Hyatt hotels and Louis Vuitton. And that's just a couple of the top of my head. But hey, and a company have a vision to help companies unleash human potential. So they can maximize company performance with hint attack. Maybe his well so book elope and hold on tight. So I can be MIO as all the way to California. So we can speak with Chris Cabrera the CEO. Of exactly who's going to tell us all about that vision. And how they're using technology. A massive warm. Welcome to the show. Can you tell the listeners a little bit who you are? And what you do. So happy to be here. My name is Chris Cabrera, and I'm the founder and CEO of a company called exactly corporation and exactly is in the sales performance management space in our roots really came from the compensation management, you know, paying paying sales people their commissions exactly is famous for making south performance management SPN to pay out. She used by some Lassie Mesic brands such as Salesforce, high hotels and Louis Vitton just to name, but a few. But can you just help? Everyone listening on that same page and tell them a little bit more about exactly what exactly is also what makes you guys unique. Yeah. Know, the nice thing about exactly is. There's probably not a company in the world there on the planet that doesn't need our stuff because every company sells something it could be a service could be a widget. Somewhere in the organization are people who are motivated to do things. And those things could be make more phone calls. So more things, you know, provide better services show up to work on time. And all those motivational things companies are finding you know that the human nature is if you dangle a carrot and give some some incentives to do those things you can drive better performance from your employee base. And so what we do is. We just go into every type of company across you know, you mentioned some of them, but we've got companies that are in just about every vertical in the world. And we and we help them identify people in the organization that they want to incentivize to do things better or differently or quicker, or you know, there's a plethora of ways that people want to incent people and our software allows for that to happen until our customers, you know, drive higher productivity out of their sales teams. We've got numbers that show, you know, four. Eighty percent more productive than than people that don't use these types of systems higher profit margins things and things like that that organizations have to decently use variable compensation and incentives to help drive growth across their sales teams book on new wave of businesses recognizing the value of rolling out incentive compensation beyond sales and intern. They see a powerful role that incentive compensation compla- to actually increase productivity revenue and also the coach of engagement, but can you share the you'll unique point if you and where the industry is heading in your opinion. How you genuinely believe there's been a huge missed opportunity for incentives now only the value that they provide to employees, but also how that can be applied to shape behaviors and motivations and how that can actually impact a company's bottom line. I think everyone knows the classic, you know, pay commissions to sales people and their coin operated, and you know, and so And you. so you find almost every company is paying thirty percent of the population. You know, roughly, you know, there's people that are on quotas and sell stuff, and they're paying them some type of compensation, but I think more and more as you said is companies are realizing how competitive the market is. And how how much incentives can help drive better performance across every type of employees. We're seeing companies that are paying instead of thirty percent of their population. They're paying one hundred percent of their population. Now, those other seventy percent might be getting some type of an MBA or bonus am, I it's not a straight commission. It's not necessarily sell this widget. And you get two percent or five percent. But the the beautiful thing about our software like ours is that you can incentivize any type of behavior as I said, you know, you could be incentivizing the receptionist at the front desk to show up on time and dress appropriately and smile when they greet the people coming in and those could be you know, NBA does the. Each quarter. The manager sits down and says. Yeah, we think you did this about eighty percents. You're gonna get eighty percent of this of this bonus. We see companies like trucking companies that are delivering perishable goods. They're literally incentivizing truck drivers to deliver the load within a certain window. If they arrived too early that likely means they were speeding, and they get tickets and insurance rates go up if they're too late. Well, obviously, the perishables Paris. And and that's a bad thing. We work with governments that are paying, you know, postal service workers that are not even employees of their of the government. They're just hanging shingle somewhere. You know, in remote locations and saying we accept, you know, we sell stamps, and we accept mail well to the government that that looks like a sales person. Right. But it's not at all what you typically think of. I think you mentioned, you know, high earlier, you know, every wedding planner thousands of wedding planners throughout the world that high if you walk into one of them and talk. Talk to them about setting up your wedding, every choice that you make from the wedding cake to the venue to the orders. Those people are being incentivized to to provide. You the best options and options that will make sure you have a great event. So so you're absolutely right compensation is changing dramatically in the in the world today in companies that are figuring it out or bracing it beyond just sales people. So they're automating sales people, and then they're spreading throughout the rest of their company. And what we see is that companies that do that perform much higher rates and have higher profitability

"That. Yeah. Ever might be an element that. Well, that's good for your cardio. Charles makes a great point. If you if you're a healthy person, you're feeling good about yourself. You're not feeling you know, roly-poly dragging all the time. I mean, you're you're you're feeling energetic. Healthy people tend to feel energetic and energetic. People tend to want to. They would be the ones that would want to. When you go for your meetings with your unit that a lot of the guys big red meat eaters. They unit the military Pete exactly not the other day. They would say, oh, yeah. I just had that great steak burgers, and my sets dry couldn't have been better. Because my testosterone was falling. I've never heard anything like that. Unfortunately, I'm not saying that you're wrong. But yeah, I personally never heard that. Well, we need to have some people. Thank you, Charles. We need to have some people call us and let if you're a spicy person. If you're a spicy loving person. Are do you feel that you are more sexual than the average mild or medium person are you hot? And you're not only hot with your foods. You're hot. Under the covers to cabins with spicy food. Here we go. There are I mean these illegitimate problems. It doesn't affect people because some people's constitution can digest by food without there being a negative reaction. But there are some people who clearly will have a negative reaction spicy food. So whether we as we discussed my old remedy which was read Cayenne pepper. I would put it on everything. And boy I'd be flying. You know, you wouldn't need to do cocaine. You would need black beauties. Wow. No, right, Cayenne pepper or the old tried and true jalapeno jalapenos. We'll do it, especially if you get those really fiery ones, but I'll tell you. I put Franks red hot sauce on everything. Also, Hillary Rodham Clinton carry a bag of Frank's red shorts. Carrie? Louis vuitton. Two thousand ten knockoff to me. Now, it's actually really Roby down on twenty third guy date in Hawaii. As a matter of fact, and I got it almost ten years ago, and the thing is still incredible shape. Somebody authenticate that please I bought it from the Louis Vuitton store. So I think that they they're probably gonna be telling you eating spicy food. Right. And it's supposed to get you to that to merge going a lot quicker. Get your engine all fired up there a lot of people who have a negative reaction. Oh god. Did you guys it causes? All right. Right. That will that will kill the urge to merge. Look at you already. You'll put off don't like check it out. You'd put on a chastity belt after after seeing somebody go through that. And you know, some people they do have that reaction. Yes. Okay. Yeah. You would lose your desire, right? You see I don't even like to. I just this is not my favorite subject. I really don't like to talk about this stuff. I mean, let's talk about the space, which is like the bathroom stuff is. Okay. I know you could go. We could discuss that. Have the facts? I think we all know what it is. Let's not talk about the bedroom. Let's talk about Taco Bell, which has a vegetarian menu. The Christian is all about you. Go in there, and you have the jalapeno peppers on the side, you do that right Christian. And then all of a sudden you're sitting there eating at taco GIO vegetarian. Tacos, your jalapeno peppers, and you passing gas. I mean it happens. I mean, Ryan, it's true. Stop it. "Brands, like Louis Vuitton Chanel Gucci have actually know how to pronounce those Rolex soon have to worry about getting knock off items is really was a needed, sir. Service because obviously, you know, they you can see photos looming online, you're paying these people. What recourse do you have? If it turns out to not be what you thought you're getting and sock. X removes any of that anx Twitty. Get started with them is stock stock com slash caps as he's row slash cap space. We talk about all the time in the program here that stock x now, you know, and if you use that slash cast face, you're all day will note that you came from us the star Puerto now, I think he's a little easier. Bills might be the most complex of this is the one that got you in a tizzy was when we were talking about Sacramento just taking him in to cap space, basically trading. Absolutely nothing back giving the wizards just straight up salary relief that four porter. That's something that obviously is going to happen in the summer. They could try Sacramento if they weren't should could trade for him now, and we'll see how long Sacramento stays in it. They could do a lopsided trade. That would get the wizards out of the tax. You know, send back maybe like an Amman jumper and a little more filler salary. There. But utilize sucker knows about twelve million in cap space, the wiz as of now sit just under six million above the tax. So even it could be an even less lopsided trade than that from Sacramento sample, if they wanted to preserve a little bit more cap space will yes. So as an example, the ones that I worked out Zach Randolph and Ben MC Amore for auto Puerto works and also Zibo and coast-to-coast for Puerto and Jason Smith works. And the reason you might want to the ladder of those is because kufo when he's healthy is a more capable player in the west coast would start for the wizards in a second, man. That's that's the Janet. Probably played for them to for claiming. He's not, you know, not exactly playing John wells pace, at least when John wall isn't walking. But he actually kind of. Yeah. He's playing at John walls, his his average speed not his topspin. So that one was good. I thought that New Orleans unite both came up with that one. Actually, a you came up with more than I did. So I'll take this one for New Orleans. I think you know, you maybe you could get a protected I with an trade basically filler salary for porter. So it New Orleans is one of the few teams that actually you. And again porter doesn't fill an amazing need for them. Because he's not the type of defensive stopper that they really need. But he still has more size than anyone else that they haven't. He still is an upgrade their at any. He's also a pretty nice offense of upgrade that with his shooting on the team is cutting not be complaining about him being too low usage on the Pels have got a bunch of guys. So it would be Selman hill making a little over twelve million west Johnson six million. Darius Miller checked yellow for porter and Thomas Bryant, the wizards could do that trade a four for two when they go down as they probably inevitably will to save money. Two thirteen players and wave Okara white after two weeks, and then they're forced of course, it to pick up another play after two weeks or doing that bulls two thousand fourteen luxury tax dance right now. But that could enable them to take that on and they would save about five million. So not quite under the tax, but pretty close. I mean hill might actually help them a little bit of the Miller might actually help them a little bit Johnson. I mean, they have like a bunch of wings who are like, you know, see minus wings gonna on the team who are playable. But maybe not amazing. They still they still hold onto Kelly Bray and then west Johnson barring contract Miller expiring contract. So they might even have enough room out of the tax under resigned. Kelly Oubre next year if that's what they wanted to..

"And sell preowned, luxury, handbags watches, Louis Vuitton Chanel, Gucci Rolex, Megan Tudor, all those guys. So it's basically like the stock market to make buying and selling of these things shoes, luxury goods, Yee's retro Jordan's, bape supreme. It's pretty cool. This is one of those. Things that the internet has enabled, which I think is cool. You got real time market data for television buying and selling. You get access to tons of historical price data if you're selling something or if you're buying it and you wanna know how much it sold for in the past, you can research it and is removed all the risk from buying and selling online because you got anonymity between buyer and seller stocks in the middle. So you don't have to deal the random or buyer seller. I remember one time I was going to a party in l. a. and I, it was like you had to buy tickets to. It was at a big place in my friend bought a ticket on Craigslist, and we got offensive Craig list. But in this case he got there and the ticket was like, reprinted. It didn't work. So something like stock ex just helps you with that because you're not having to deal directly with random people, and it has experts who verify every item. They try everything. You buy one hundred percent authentic, so you don't get burned by fakes. Okay. So go to stock. X dot com slash tie. So it stock the litter, x dot com. Slash my name TI, tie stock x dot com slash tie. "So when your feed, you'll see like fifteen friends like the economist, also like the economists, those are promoted posts than they're using social proofing of your friends to get you to click on and fall more profiles. Look, I don't wanna crap on social proof too much because it is very useful. I wanna know what podcast my friends are listening to. Yup, I want to know what my friends think of the restaurant. I'm thinking about going tonight. So I look on yelp for that. What I don't want is for somebody to go, hey, you should buy this because randomly fifteen of your friends over the last fifteen or so years. They clicked like once on something that this place published online. Yeah. So therefore they like the economists? Yeah, you know it's as with everything that's tool you can over use it. You can use incorrectly, but it's important to know that it's there and know how it affects. You know that other people expressing something as valuable affect your understanding of that value. I mean, it's it's the whole purpose of luxury brands, right? Like everybody thinks that Louis Vuitton so fancy, it's not fancy in and of itself. I mean it is, but it's really more that other people think that it's fancy that affects my understanding of his value. So I mean, affect understand how it affects your decision making the things that you say to other people and then learn how to use it as a tool. It's very effective. Great. I love that. I like the idea. That social proof should also be telling me if you agree it should be more or less subtle, subtle enough, of course, it has to sink in but subtle enough that we're not beating people over the head with it, and I'd love to think of an example, but I'm going back to luxury brands in my head where I can't remember who told me that it was on the Jordan harbinger show at some point. But this person who is in charge of talking about brands and things like that had told us that when you buy, let's say Gucci or dull. Jacobinism I think are good brand for this down. You buy their lowest end sunglasses. The DIGI logo is enormous. It's the whole temple. It's gold in the middle. It's Godley. It looks terrible. Sorry, DIGI. But it's and that's the lowest pair, right? But when you go to their doors listening, I'm sure it looks great, and I'm sure it looks great on you, but it looked terrible on me and that's all I'm saying. But when you buy the medium mid range stuff, the logos are a little smaller. They're still visible, but they're a little more tasteful and then the highest most expensive generally, the high. Quality, like the polarized lenses. Oh, this is gold plated deduct it has the DIGI logo at the Gucci logo. Like on the lens, it's pretty subtle. You have to look for it and often there's no logo at all, and it's just people who kind of are in the know or like, oh, those are the new such and said, those of the new Ferragamo or this is the new such and such year men, jewelry down David German, that stuff is visible to the right people because it has the right signal. The lowest end stuff is look at this name brand I'm wearing right because it's not for people who are trained and have a good eye for it. It's I spent a lot of money on these. I'm wealthy. That's the signal I'm trying to broadcast exactly, but it's so finely tuned, right? And trains people like I need to know to look exactly here to know that this thing is legit for synoptic..
