"Thought we were gonna have to jump Oscar Isaac. Back where I'm sorry, I'm sorry to tell you, she does know who Oscar Isaac is, and she doesn't want you to know that she knows to Oscar. That's okay. Okay, okay. This podcast. And I haven't heard the end of it, okay? Oh my God, this bombcast is messy. Holy shit. All the dirty laundry. I don't catch any strays because it's going to come for me eventually. So far I've been dodging them. Baccala, when you're done at this point, I have something I want to bring up. Please do. I have about the threatened fucking Donnie darko over the phone. I know where you walked Johnny. Yeah, so she is like face blind to him. And I'm like, we've seen movies that he's in in St. Louis Davis like nothing else comes to mind, but we've seen shit. This guy. And then we were talking about like, oh, Star Wars, and then she's also very blind to Star Wars. But anyway, she finally found out who he is and now I think I have to threaten Oscar Isaac as well. That makes sense. I mean, they're probably used to it. I don't know. I'm kind of an Oscar. I love you, Jeff. We've done many CES together. Are you kidding me? But you're on his side too. Yeah. So how was your story, Jan? Well, okay, so the partner will bring up any time Kit Harington is on screen. She'll be like, oh my God, he's so dreamy. My celebrity crush. And that, I don't know, I don't know. And then she'll ask me, like, oh, who do you have a celebrity crush on? And then I'll talk about someone and then she'll get angry and dead quiet about it. Wait, I was just sitting here and it's fine for you to talk about cute heritage and how sad he looks all the time, but we can't talk about it. But who would you say, Jan? Who trying to holla at? Yo, I'm trying to holler at all. Porn stars. No, also Akira. Back and back up. Back to back. I don't know what that is. I don't know who that is. I read on the Internet. I don't know. Yeah. You can just like, yo, yo, what's up, Lana condor, what's the house of hanging, you know? Like, hey, you know, jubilee, I love jubilee. Okay, anyway, back to the news. All right. I added this one since the show started. I put the headline Pokémon has a very good boy. Is it me? His name is so is it graveyard? Graveyard, you think? Grieve art, okay. Anyway, it's a dog that's a ghost and it's very cute. And he can't see his eyes 'cause the hair is hanging on over his eyes. And he's a very good boy. And also, hi, I'm here, Scott. It's rallet. Is that right? Yeah. Yeah, I know it folded out. Wait, is rowlet? Oh, that's an owl thing, right? Yes. Around outlet. So, okay. You know, my kid brought home a Pokémon encyclopedia from the book fair. Oh, shouts out the book fairs. Book fair. I gave him a 20. He comes back with like a captain underpants. 6 inch thick freaking encyclopedia and I'm just like, this is the coolest book ever. Dude, first of all, this is a brand new Pokémon. They can just dog? Yeah. Oh, yeah. They keep introducing new Pokémon for this new game that Scarlett and violet's coming out in what like a month, not even a month. They are threatening you constantly with new Pokémon. Absolutely back a lot. Understood. You're not gonna catch up. There's still more coming. Good. We need more dog Pokémon because after her year, all we got is my man here, but he also like sucks your life out of you gradually, so there's like 50 cap Pokémon, so yeah, you're right. You do need more dog Pokémon. Come on, what are we doing here? But I love this little good boy. He looks awesome. I can't wait to buy a plushie and collect his cards. All right, let's keep this going. Uncharted makes less of a splash on PC than other PlayStation ports. I want to see if you guys can help me sus this one out. So I'll read some of the numbers here just so we can lay some groundwork. It's opening day attracted a peak of 10,851 concurrent players. That is below other Sony games that got ported to PC, including horizon zero done, which peaked at 56,000 players on that first day. Spider-Man hits had 66,000, God of War had 73,000 days gone, had 27,000, so what happened to uncharted? Is it just the time of year? Is it the long sort of lag between when it got announced? And then the PS5 version coming and then finally months later, the PC version coming because I'm kind of I'm having a hard time accepting that there's just no excitement for our uncharted. Uncharted is pretty good game series as charted for, especially good. I think, I don't know, I just feel like this feels like the fourth time it's been released. Yeah. That might be it. That sounds right. I think that might lead to the confusion. Definitely. Yeah. Of like, do I have this already? It's also named pretty weirdly. Uncharted, I don't know, not even legacy of thieves collection or maybe as what it is, but it seems like it should have all of the intro to games in it. And it's just uncharted four and it's expand alone DLC. Can I just see one? Lost legacy. Yeah, I think so. Whatever came out after uncharted four, yeah. I've never heard that scandal. Yeah, I'm trying to popularize in it right here, everybody. Yeah. No, I don't think I did not coin it, but I've definitely been. No, no, no, no. You coined it. And I was going to put it on the Wikipedia, baby. No, I'm stealing it now. It's all mine. Yeah, I think, yeah, I think you're right though. People just think that I've already played this, or I've already played it several times now. Do I need it on PC? I think in the recent, you know, and it also just came out on PS5. Right. They didn't do it. Yes, and that was like they announced the PS5 and the PC version at the same time. Yeah. And the PS5 version came out months ago. Totally. And they made it so that you could buy it for ten bucks if you had, I think if you already owned uncharted four and PS4 or something like that, they incentivize it, it was really cheap if you played along and it's just like, yeah, I think it's just falling victim to that. Like the surplus of it all. That's probably it. Do you think people just were really disappointed with the movie? And we're like, no, I'm done with this. This game doesn't have marky Mark in it. Why am I even playing it? Oh, I think it could be that. What if they want Tom Holland? And they just get like this old dude with his shirt half tucked in. Older dude, sorry, not old dude.

No when i was my daughter's age you know like i could go. I could watch. The godfather could watch two and a half hours. I could watch once upon a time in america but like you know her. It's like well you know. I it's you know it's four minutes of Whatever dream or knowing orange. it's like all right. I think thirty years from now we're going to be slipped so different. It's interesting attention. Spans have dropped and also to cultural literacy. I guess you'd call it correct. Well we're roughly the same as when we were kids. We we might not have watched if we knew who say. Wc fields where the grow the marx brothers soon chaplain. We might not have been familiar. Their their the whole movie out. Yeah what do you call filmography. Whatever cognizant who were these kids don't who the fuck and beatles where they don't know who jim marson was. They don't know who anybody was. And it's like it's kind of sad and it's not. It's almost not the focus. They've grown up with the phone. They hand for twenty years. And it's almost like the inadvertent narcissist like it's not their fault. The world revolves around because that's how they were raised. It's kind of. It's kind of really. I hate to sound like i'm all like i think for me. Music like i get it from my driveway. My dad like would go sees parents sometimes on the weekend down. Cape would listen to all these one zero three. And i'd hear the beatles and the righteous brothers. And sam cooke and curious about those guys. And i knew for springsteen he was influenced by those guys. I look at that but like kids these days. And i know i'm an old man but i have kids so i have some experience. They don't really have like favorite musical artists. They just like sorta songs and memes. And tick tock so. They're not going to dig into the stuff and i don't know if it's good or bad but you're right that's what it is like. Like my kids know bruce springsteen because of me if they had a different dad and they dad did like springsteen they would. They wouldn't even know his name. They wouldn't don't neil young today. It's just it's i don't know what that means but it's i it's it is strange for me But again i'm old. So yeah i am too i you know. I don't have kids so at the end of the day. It probably has too much for me but yeah it feels like there's something get lost with kids. Just don't care. And i mean that's just. The technology changes everything but actually one more movie. I just thought of another foreign. And i'm not like johnny domoling looking you. It's it's called. it's called back arale. It's b. a. C. you aren you heard of this correct should have probably got a nominee nomination last year actually came out in two thousand nine hundred but i don't think it came out in north america because it was still eligible for the most recent oscars and basically the the beginning of the movies are woman goes doctor brazilian village to for grandmother's funeral. Right and a bunch of odd things that happened. And that's all i'll leave it at that but it's like it's a movie it feels like a mash up of like five different genres of like movie. That going on another one that blew me away. It was like movie. I couldn't even read describe it but highly recommended it. If you're gonna spent four bucks in rented good flick. I was talking my buddy june the other day. He's big movie to and he asked me if you could if you could just pick one director to watch their next five movies who would it be o. That's that's a good one. You only get thirty. You get their next five movies. You can't watch anybody else's boots you get. One is is a pt anderson fincher. Is somebody else know what i mean. Well it's this is a two for one because you have to. But the i'd say the collins collins. Yeah yeah i think it's still at the top of their game or at least capable in the next five movies of having two or three masterpieces of the next five whereas you may not feel the same about two of the legends. Like spielberg scorsese tool. Yeah but i think they're calling. I think there's still capable what's happening. It wasn't the last five so louis. Louis davis right Yeah davis all that. I that ballot about bus disgruntled. I didn't like There's no country within their last five. I it might put on my phone right now. For some reason kalat so getting one true. Maybe who's the one of them gets listed as director and one of them. You know how they do that. I hear it. Here's the last five ballot. A bus describes hail caesar up with hill caesar. I wasn't crazy about low. Davis i really i. I like true grit a serious man. Seriously which i loved. Yeah so. I mean that's pretty. You know pretty good. I think like i said if they produce at that level put the next movie is all rose the next movies with denzel washington in princeton dorm. And i think it's just one of them. I think they're working together on fritz. Victoria's husband whichever one is. Yeah i i still even even get off his blood simple right there i move. That's on each max. If you wanna check it out and listening their career is their career is like sneaky. Unbelievable like raising arizona one of the greats fargo lebowski is even Jesus i'm blanking. I like the one with dillybob thornton. Gandolfini oh the man who wasn't yeah. That's probably one of the most underrated movies i put. It's funny..

But i try to always remember there ever eighteen. I'm to bet whatever. So he was in the mickey mouse club and then in seeing like of course he was a big star but i rooted for him the whole time. You britney great. Does she break your heart. Goodbye cameron diaz. Let's go we needed. Justified look do you get that album name. His name and healings. The here's the problem. He took that break and he was like comedy and actor and i was like. I'm gonna go to all these movies. Bad teacher shirt friends with benefits in time with amanda ciphered. Maybe one of the worst movies of all time. And i was in the theater watching it because i was these older. But he was and then he brought it back to me right. He gave me twenty twenty experience of. Oh gosh suit and tie yes. We're back and then he rededicated his life. He went forward on a sunday to the altar. Rededicated his life to becoming a feature film actor And then he when he finally figured out. Nobody wants me. He came back and made that dumb man of the woods album. And i just couldn't spin it anymore. And now we learned he's problematic on many levels and just as notes apologies for a number of things that he's done to his wife and two us and so i cannot hold the season pass any longer if you have multiple knows policies in your repertoire. Like you've you've gone awry. So that's that's not good. I will i will say The you put up his performance and alpha dog his performance and Inside llewellyn davis and his performance in Trying to think of another movie he's gonna in in social network in that's basically like John khazal al pacino meryl streep it's just the the shoulders the titans jamie shaft social network like. Oh yes and he has a very small thing in desert. Well yeah you're giving me alpha alpha dog. it's great ben foster's a revelation that one emile hirsch what a revelation next to oscar isaac and inside. Louis davis really who was great in that. Yeah he's in it for about thirty seconds but he's really good. He's like a sweater douchebag so if the shoe fits i have Somebody next categories Season passes relegated out of problematic. Nece you know kind of drafting off. While you're talking about and i i've had connie he was a season pass. Anything you would do. I would listen to. I'm just letting him get right. You know get his head okay. And maybe we'll talk about later and then obviously the won't have to talk about. But i just need to mention charlotte buff. You know he Wasn't great even. I'm if you've been around long enough. This has happened in real time. We even hundred redesign our office because of that. But you know this is what you gotta do with season passes. You gotta have Integrity integrity is what you do with the lights off. And what do you do that shine. If people want to think there that it's in there somewhere else when my last one is lindsay. Lo han look parent trap a revelation. A- ginger i'd like i've hated genders in my whole life if you're listening area gender. You're dead inside. Is i thought it's genetics. I can help you you. You're sensitive to cold and pain. I can't help you. But i just didn't think i could love her and i loved her to me she could do. Not but then. Here's the thing i lived through. If you're like a certain age you know what it was like to live through the tmz years. I've her fighting every other starlet in the world and her bmi. I can take your man. And i did not. I could but i'm not gonna you know. I like anybody that any like paris hilton. Like just the the horror of i am. I shop with all the stuff i shoplifted all of it like. It's fine and just the number of times that she had to appear in court like one time you could be like well like one underwriter. Her parents were problematic in many ways and they were abusive. And you just go. She had something she wasn't dealing with and she was being a child. Actor had never been allowed to do anything with a low hanging on she those same issues. But it's like this is the night time we've been in court like it does not feel like you are wanting to reverse this situation. Yeah i think would. Snl does intervention That's that's a lot that stuff's going. can i ask. You was the deer for you. When she wrote down a list of all the guys she hooked up with In crayon and left it in a bar for the tablets safari listen. That actually might have been the time that i checked my wallet to see if i had some cash to buy more 'cause like that i was like oh. That was good. I liked it when everyone else zags. That's a good reading of the market. I like it My last category is Inactivity people who just had to relegate because like you're not scheduling games can. There's nothing for me to watch. And for that i choose glenn pow so temporarily this year's going to be we're going to be back someone to by next year but just didn't come out anything because the code Adam brody in there. I am because after the. Ceo's little light it was a little little light. Yeah it was Wasn't ended two years ago. No you know. He's he's dabbled. He's done some things he's created some art he self art. You know just like gotten down like in that aspect and arenas and the last one finished verb they just. "Astronomy astrophysics author and occasional tv quiz show super quiz. Let's get this patient. Show contestant drills ally charles said forty two very yeah yeah thing i says. It's amazing how quickly that comes round still now. Hazing is absolutely to finish off our cortex coming back to something. Who by popular demand because gobbles hayes. Even its former grub caster and the other half of the missing episodes podcast. Tim right good evening. Can i apologize for not being gavin. Where is seven. Is he just busy or is there some sort of pending inquiry which which is suspended until is was always something right now. I think he's just busy or on holiday. He did give me an excuse for not being able to start. Something about is the dog. So work. I think all right and he just doesn't like the gunfight various times he's the other one because we've already as an avid listener gavin from like historical sorry gavin. So we'll we'll kick off. I guess we'll kick off by having a lookit. The gunfight is written by donald cotton. We haven't looked at on cottonwood before directly by rex. Tucker of course was going to direct the first one and finally got renting when seasons. I mean obviously if there's one thing that we all knew about a gunfight is growing up or at least in the early eighties sorry. I said before your time that it was the narrow doctor we. We were told that on on good authority. It has very low viewing figures. I actually when you look in fact. They went as low as all that and they got far worse later on in this series and then also this season for but audience appreciation was very low. Apparently was only thirty percent exit for whatever. Thirty percent meant commissions by john. Wells and tunnel tauch but actually realized by louis davis he was kick us off then with with the comfort. Well should i take up from there. Because i think that's an important access of this story. Because legend has it. The as you say. Walls and tosh commissioned and in his lloyd and jerry davis had already decided that they didn't like historical and they didn't like comedies or they didn't like style of comedy and so when you're watching the mythmakers it feels a little bit like a game of two hoff's doesn't and that feels to me. I mean polls much better on this writing style stuff but it feels to me. That you've got a truer version of cotton's doctor who in the first two episodes and then it feels more like it loses. Its way as the rewriting gets heavier as it goes on. Because i think. I think i'm right in saying that. Cotton wrote a witty script per the mythmakers and they had various nervous moments when they were making it and i think they all sat down and watched the fifty-seven gunfights at the ok corral and decided it needed more action and then they decided it was too dry so then they don't see now living a bunch of comedy and You know like is it finneas with the stutter. And so on and stevens that's not limited to that that no writer writes stevens comedy which is very game the done so yeah it feels like a bit of a mixed bag but i really enjoy it and the reason i really enjoy it is because i can block almost everything and just concentrate on william hartnell having a whale of a time and showing. He's got timing..

"Steal the game and he's been amazing and he's given us so many highlights this year but you worry about the wear and tear when it's all on one guy shoulders and that's what we're seeing now so you referenced. Jason quick from the athletic dame tells them on sunday. This is quote the worst year physically. He's endured in his entire career and abdominal injury. That happened. i think Early in the season in january both multiple times needed need bangs that he's he's had a hand injury along the way knee again like it's been it's been brutal and besides that you learn to win one way where it's like okay dame's got take it all on get guys back and you think well you should be better now but you have to settle your offense now. You've got to figure out how you're going to play with a full complement again. So i think that maybe there's some of that too but you're right chris. Look you flagged it right off. The bat defense like this team has firepower. They've always had firepower when that backwards been healthy and those guys have been together for a long time. Now they've had. I was looking back through this other. Twenty nine hundred defensive rating right now. There are twenty seven th last year sixteenth year before so at least the middle of the pack Six thousand two thousand seventeen eighteen. That was the year. They had alvarez camino evan turner. Mohawk louis davis select their wings in their front court like they just had more stout defence then and ever since they lost all those guys. It's been just stepping backward back. We're backward but before that season twenty-second nineteenth. So they had one top ten finish defense of efficiency in the last one two three four five six. Whatever years terry stotts does preach defense like. That's that's certainly. I don't think it's a terry stotts thing. I don't think they've had the personnel they do have an undersized back court they haven't had enough upfront. I i don't know where to begin their chris but defense is a huge issue. And a bigger one when you're superstar. Mvp candidate who generates all of your offense is now beat to hell. I wanna know howard what he's doing out there like daime little wants to play. He's as competitive as they get in the nba. But sometimes you have to save a star from himself and you can say well. They're trying to compete for playoff spot. You take it out of the lineup. They'll start losing their already losing their already playing poorly like this is a decision now with the benefit of hindsight i guess that they should have made two weeks ago and pulled him out of the lineup and said look. We're gonna give you three weeks off to rest all those injuries that you mentioned that he told to jason quick give that some time to heal and see if that makes you stronger for the postseason because right now he's not he's he's probably sixty five seventy percents from the games. I've watched all of his former self. And you're not beating anybody like that so it's not too late for portland. I think to do the right thing and to sit him down for an extended period of time. Now is there risking that of course you could continue to lose at eventually slipped to tenth and wind up in the plane game but or the plane tournament. But at this point resting damian lillard is really the only chance in. What is a very small pool of chances. The blazers have of doing anything in the playoffs..
