Like this right. Yeah absolutely so you know. There's something something comes again. We're talking to an effort that started in nineteen eighty nine really succeeded in two thousand fifteen and and you know it's shifting landscape new discoveries happen New constituencies form with the NASA to do do other kinds of missions. I mean for instance. One thing that that came along during this time period was that Europa the icy moon soon of a Jupiter got much more interesting in the in the sense that we discovered With Galileo mission discovered that you wrote a likely has an ocean in his possible awesome habitable environment so The poodle mission is doing well and then all of a sudden. There's this huge movement within the planetary science community entity to divert resources and compete a mission to Europa instead because of these discoveries in any nobody on the new horizons team is going to argue. Well you're up. It's not interesting and not important. I wouldn't argue that that for second. Everybody we all acknowledge that these are all important goals but there's the shiny new thing all of a sudden can you know we've been waiting are turn things like that happened multiple times. I actually have heard of like planetary partisanship before for you know I. I had a friend who did some research on Jupiter's moon. Io and she had some negative things to say about Europa. Well okay I mean there rhys. There is definitely an element of that. In a way the way NASA sets up it's It's competition for missions of kind of encourages that because there are these different Interest groups within NASA. There's like I mean I'm really interested in Venus exploration so I'm part of the school called Vaccine Alexa. The Venus Exploration Activities Group. And there's me PAG. which is the Mars exploration activities group? And then there's outer planets activities group and so you know when we when NASA does their annual decatur ranking of mission. Priorities were sort of organized into these different constituencies. Were all putting our favourite mission forward so there is this competition And then even beyond that when there's a call for new missions it'd be a small or medium class or large ars class mission. Different teams compete. You know I've been on these teams and you put years into these missions and you compete really hard so of course you want your mission might Venus mission that I'm a CO investigator on to be selected and then when an asteroid mission or a Jupiter mission or something gets selected instead. I'm really bombed. I'm do about that same time. He so that's true and that's partly just a measure of the way we compete things but I I do have to say and this is really true that there's a larger sense in which we're all on the same team and feel that way so that wins the competition is over and one of these missions comes to the launch pad whether it's a Mars Mission Asteroid Mission Whatever everybody in the community cheers that lunch? I mean because we all go. Would you back up from that. We're all pretty psyched about exploring a whole solar system. Even you'll hear me in some of my colleagues grumble about Al.. Got Another Mars mission got funded. What about what about you know? But then when that Mars Commissioner actually launches and land successfully we get tears in our eyes to like. This is so amazing. So we yeah we compete for our separate constituencies but we all I I think also Genuinely root for an eye densify with the larger project of of exploring the solar system. A Yeah I WANNA be clear in case my friends is listening. She just joking when she was lagging about it. You know scheming like I owe people you know but at the the end of the day were were I mean you know. Of course you get personal grudges. Human beings are human beings but at the end of the day We're we're all pretty excited about about all the exploration or we're going to jump in here and take a quick break but we'll be right back. Hey Miles it's me Jack Right right here right next to you next to me. Yeah just like a work. "It's morally available when it's more powerfully reinforcing when it can you know build momentum and that's I mean look jeff basis someday is GonNa come gunning for me but I just think Amazon's the worst and I followed to it. I live in a building with a doorman. I'll order something on Amazon. I get the email that I have a package. My Doorman hands me right package and literally my first thought is. Oh somebody set me something. It's a little surprising president. It's like no. I spent my harder money on that. Like even I why do so I think that exactly easily available highly rewarding momentum to it. It's it's it's IT'S E it's an easy I mean I do deal with a law shopping addicts the one that I've patients that I've seen it's the QVC stuff yeah they just don't even open it. Just don't even think that set up I've dealt with a lot of seniors who have been scammed by somebody selling them stuff because they'll stay on the phone with them for an hour and a half would and I think. QVC is set up now. I'm GONNA offend QVC. Set up so that you feel like you have a friend in your living room. You're not lonely you got you know somebody selling you face cream and they really believe in you and I think it's literally I think the saddest a set up that way. I think that you know for my shopping addicts the for my biggest thing. Besides getting rid of stuff is create meaningful interactions actions with other humans. That aren't transactional. You know go volunteer. Get a dog or the dog part like take though they go. I have lots of friends. You know the clerks at the store. I love to shop and I'm like they're paid to make you feel that way. Is there any common background and your shopping addicts you find coming history. Yeah 'cause I it's some of the ones I've seen. They often had some very powerful emotional experience with a parent or someone they loved with reward or gift or shopping or something as a child. Yeah I mean I do I do ten. You know 'cause I have seen it a lot in people who grew up lower socioeconomic and then started to make the thing I will say that ties shopping addicts together. The thing I hear all the time is why deserved it. I worked really hard. I deserve this. This is a treat. This is a reward so maybe that ties into what you're saying saying about parents. I saw some special time about shoplifters and that was the thing that they all said like I I'm owed this. I deserve this and oftentimes. I see that with the shoppers. I worked really hard. You know I deserve a nice dress and it's You know it's that's that's a tough one. I tend to see shopping much more women than men but men are way more sentimental. What's in this was like the first baseball cap that order the first game they vary my you know my senior men are always like those? Are the tools that I used to fix my car with. I'M GONNA start to fix my car and I always fix my car that they men really look backwards to what they've accomplished I know very Sentimental way more than women by Senate. I'm I'm wondering what you mean by sentimental sort of attached to the historical historical attached to you know things from when their kids were little up so much around sports I I but I think it makes them feel tribal right that they belong to something. So it's like. That was the first game that I ever went to at the new stadium and I can't and I think get gives them a sense of belonging Yeah they'll fight tooth and nail man for so fun I now I know. I know it's really. It's really really interesting. I love working with seniors. I love senior downsizing because I've just heard so many amazing stories. I work a lot in Los Los Angeles with japanese-american dissents lots and lots who were in turned or their grandparents were in turned so I see a huge huge correlation to. I can go into a house I can say you were in really right. I can just see it in a minute. What is what is that really wasn't internal? But what did you see the I mean they tend to be Japanese descent so we start there And it's just it's a lot of costco it's a lot it's not decor it's not Chomsky's he's it's things that keep you alive so food and just shopping bags and cleaning supplies and you you know this idea. Imagine somebody came in and took away everything that was yours. I mean it makes complete sense and so when we have that conversation Shen like Oh wow right. There's the correlation. You're like you look. You came by this honestly and you said you have your doorman where you live. Yovany York no I in downtown. La Oh downtown's fancy and you're certainly surrounded by all that horning on the streets. Yeah I know it's really. The homeless. Hoarding is really intense. It's really It's a tough one. It's a really tough one. That's that's all I I don't. I don't think that the primary hoarding. I think symptom of Takada guilt. I think so I think so too. I think Just a lot. That's what it is now. Yeah that that homeless geared you guys yet baby goods absolutely not. I am actively fighting against him. My garage I declared when we moved into our home would never ever be anywhere but their storage all around it but those cars will always go it. They just have a baby. So are you ready for this Gary for every child that you introduce listen to your family you increase your possessions by thirty percent. Oh I'm sure tired I What I would say a second kid? Another thirty percents of you have three kids. You're up to ninety eighty percent late in the game so hopefully I'm done at one but I think it's I think our I think our belongings are probably fifty percent. Yeah even before he arrived with. It's all the crap that came in to get ready for it worth slowly. That was a shock to me. Staff kids came with shock. I know I know and then you don't know perjure they'll get rid uh-huh yeah there's great by the way baby. The baby is an amazing local organization. That will take all that stuff. That's fantastic especially post fires like that baby. Abi Stuff is really easy to donate. That's one of the things that I I know. That's one of the things I love to do with my clients and that I do a little bit different than a lot of people in my field is is that I work really hard to donate what can be donated to smaller organizations I work a lot with organizations that work with foster kids And what I found is if it's hard for someone to let go if they know it's going to someone who can use it so they can get outside themselves so That one that one's been that's been great. You mentioned shopping and obviously hoarding instead. Are there other kinds of behaviors. You encounter hoarding And we said no pets. We don't have people horde other stuff. Narrow narrow paper is just the one that surprises prizes. Me Over and over again and you know what my seniors I can understand it because they came from a generation. When if you lost if you lost your pink slip you know you're at the DMV for a a week but there's just a certain they're almost like their information hoarders like they're afraid they're gonna miss something like the secret to life is in that print out that they printed did from that website? It's just the paper as just people are drowning in it now. Like oh I might need that and I'm like but you would never be able to find it. There's some people have have a time scale words. They think I'm missing missing on. You know miss something. But then they'll think themselves well that's been on my desk for years. I can let it go now. You know they'll they'll they'll argue they'll they this is what they say. I save that for a reason therefore it must be like. They don't want to know that they didn't make the right decision. And I think that's a lot of it to you know I call it the stuff I keep paying for. It's like you made a bad decision. You bought a treadmill without realizing that you hate to run. But you're gonNA hang onto that you're going to punish yourself to remind yourself every day desk. Get rid of a treadmill Atmel we. I'm a little bit of a book. Quarter to junkie. Yeah do you think it makes people think you're smart. Yeah Yeah but it's more I do refer back. Yeah and I'm always grateful when I've got him because I'm always Ludvig was it that and then I'll find it. No views it so I was too much but I think that I understand. I have a lot of reference books. I go back two two but I always think you can always do a pass right. You're always gonNA pull up ten bucks like I'm not GonNa read this paper back that I bought at the airport. Because you know that Kinda Steph and look some people. The book. Orders are very vocal crowd. You know they don't want to let go. And Look if you love your books if you walk in and you see thousands thousands of books and they make you happy keep them. It's the people who are like. Oh these books on after step over on it. That's the litmus test right like if you love it if you absolutely love it keep it but if it's getting in the way of living the life you want to be like then let's have a different conversation. The book is making space. Clutter free the last book on decluttering. You'll ever need It's on Amazon. Now declutter fly letter declutter fly dot Com and follow Tracy theatrically underscore mccovey any else. We we miss anything. We covered it all hang quite good. I think I'm going to probably come to your house in the New Year yes garage. Well I'm GonNa see if we can do it ourselves for because there's a plan okay.
A look at all 16 possible World Series matchups
"Allow with us right now is is EMMA LB Major League baseball analyst insider extraordinaire the great one himself the one and only Kirk Chin who will be in attendance for tonight's Oakland a's Tampa Bay rays one game divisional playoff game. What's going on man? How are you how's everything I'm great Stephen? Even a I'm at a playoff game. It's a winner. Take all situation on October the second this is pretty good stuff. You really really liked this one game stuff don't you. You really liked him. Well what I think it does Stephen Obviously it brings a game seven half. Let's fear to the beginning of October that that game last night was a really good game but it was even better because the poor brewers had to go home after losing and granted. It's really unfair that one of these teams tonight both worked on ninety five or more games going to have to go home after one but it does bring increased integrity to the regular killer season. It makes those hundred sixty two games so important so you don't have to play in this game but the fact that the loser goes home home makes it. It has a level even high. I gotTA admit him. I'm very shocked by that position that you take because you are one of the most fair minded people I've ever known on and to go to a hundred and sixty two game season and it to come down told one game. It's it almost seems grew. It really does well. It is cruel stephen a but this is a cool sport and I was not in favor of this but here is the option if we were gonNA play a best best of three. Let's say and you are the New York Yankees. Let's say you want your division and you get to host the next round and we have ties leading into the wild card situation and then you play best of three it's possible the Yankees can win a hundred and ten game name say in a season and then take eight days off before they play a playoff game. That isn't fair you need to you need to really welcome the teams teams that won their division and put them in the best possible spot but if you make them wait a week before they get to play. I don't think that's fair. Wow Turkey right here with steven a radio. ESPN news fair enough. That game was something special last night at least the last couple of innings of soda to to to to Gino's keynote hit it to right field identify Grisham to commit that era. I gotTa tell you it was great to see how electric atmosphere was. How much did baseball Paul need particularly when we have just heard reports come down to how attendance drop but so like a six year low or something like that right well baseball can use all the health can get right now? It's still for me at least the greatest game and yet things are starting to slip a little bit and big game like that starting out like that in a city. That's like the biggest game the nationals of one well biggest game. A team in Washington is one baseball nineteen thirty three for goodness sake. That's what made it so good. That's why that celebration was so good and I'll crom tonight. Stephen Ain't no matter what happens this is gonna be a great night for baseball 'cause weighty. Did you see the Oakland Coliseum tonight with fifty thousand people in your they don't have the most fans in the world but the fans they have our rate and they are loud and it should be a tremendous atmosphere so this is a great jump start to the postseason in baseball last night in Washington and no matter what happens tonight tonight tonight in Oakland who you have when you look at tonight's game just evaluate this this match up to me between the as and Tampa Bay talk to me about you know who's looking good in mismatch in what well I like both teams. I'm GONNA pick I like it matters. I'M GONNA pick the as because they're at home. I'M GONNA pick the as Ashok MNAYA WHO's four no with a one twenty-one year as it's coming off the list has been great. Their bullpen is pretty darn good and they can just ask Mash Stephen a more than any team in the history of the Oakland A.'s in the franchise so they can really pounded but they're going up against Charlie Morton who was one of the best pitchers in the game this year. I saw his last start against your Yankees Steven A. and he he threw six scoreless. Let's see was completely dominant and if you throws like that he's GonNa win tonight. That's how good he was so this is a toss up game. I'll just take the as 'cause they gotta pick. Somebody and I'll take 'cause they're at home. You brought up my Yankee so let's get right to it because you know that's what I really really care about. Tim Kirk Okay. I'm very concerned earn. I am not concerned about the Minnesota twins even donate three hundred and seven home runs this year. I just think they're allergic to prosperity whenever their face against the New York Yankees the Houston Houston Astros are an entirely different matter with Verlaine with Cole Whitt Cranky. I don't see anybody beating. These guys. Talk to me about my yankees prospects. The this postseason Tim Kirk well first off. Do not look pass the twins. Even though I'm with you I believe will win. This series do not look past the team that can swing it like that. Team can second I think the Astros are the best team not just in the American league but in both leagues and I'm not sure how any team to navigate through those friends for you guys in the rotation especially coal and Burland at the top and I'm also going to tell you it's even a there or is hope that the Yankees can win the world series that make you really happy a bunch of things have to happen of course after mash like they always do the bullpen has to be great great like it always has been but Luis Severino comes back and give them five dominant innings. Can we've seen him do and if James Paxton this good he's one ten starts in a row. If Tanaka can give them one really good start or a few really good starts I think they are good enough to win the world series with the team that they have now but I still have them as the third best team in baseball go in behind the Astros and the dodge transitioned to the Los Los Angeles dodgers. They've got to face these Washington nationals in the LDS. How do you see that matchup handicap that for me well? I liked the dodgers in that matchup with the understanding understanding that if Max Scherzer can return to being the great Max Scherzer which he has not been since he came off the injured list is not he wasn't that guy last night. He wasn't that Guy September. If he returns to the best he's ever been with him. In Strasbourg Patrick Corbin they can give the dodgers a really really hard time with with that starting rotation and that lineup is very potent these days. I just think the dodgers are more complete team. They hit the ball out of the Ballpark ballpark with anybody. Three stars in the rotation are really good. My key question with 'em is is their back end to the bullpen as good as it needs to be Kenley Kenley Jansen get the people out. He needs to get out if he can't. They're not going to win the world series. How wants faiths the dodgers fans having jetson? I know I don't have much. I like the guy personally early but I I I don't. I don't trust him. I don't trust them a big spots. I think he can be hit. Talk to me about him. For a second yeah his is down his cuddled. It doesn't have the same movement to better tad in the past and that gives fans of pause. They do have some other health back there there but I really thought they'd go get more help at the trade deadline and they didn't so they're gonNA hope starting pitching and power is going to carry them and they're hoping pinged Kenley Jansen his best but I seen him much much better than he's been this year. What should we make about the fact that you've got high payrolls dodgers Yankees you know old? I don't know the order in which is the highest payroll. You would know that at this particular juncture but I must ask you Tampa Bay is in the postseason obviously lowest payroll in major league baseball well. I do believe I know that I mean how do you explain the fact that teams like the as in the Tampa Bay rays notoriously alot payrolls manage to get this fall and sometimes further dentist with the highest payrolls talked about that for a quick second as a protest. Why baseball is so great even a is that Lebron doesn't touch it on every possession? Kevin Durant doesn't touch it on every possession it is so much more of a eighteen game in its own way because you could lose a superstar and still be really good you have to draft and develop properly like the as and the rays done you have to play the game in a better manner because you can't afford to make a mistake because you know either in free agency or trade because it could set that you back with a raise did they. They got Austin Meadows and tyler glass now in a deal for Chris Archer Saint the whole team now they've ninety games two years in a row they they are really good but they're really 'cause they play the game even a defense base running better than most teams do instead of just sitting back saying well. We're GONNA hit a three run at home this morning so we don't have to do all the other things so. Let's get all of this out of the way right. Now Tim Cook while you're here with me. Yankees twins you. Have you have one in that series. I've got the Yankees over the twin yes with the warning. I say it again. Don't underestimate a team that hit over three hundred homers with the as as you picked as over the race tonight which means there as will go up against Houston obviously you pick in Houston to win that series assuming it comes down to that and the LDS correct yeah yeah but no cakewalk they're not against the as but I have the astros advancing against the how formidable on the Atlanta braves not mean I mean I mean at least in these parts. We talked enough about them. How good is this Atlanta braves team well? If Ronald Kunia junior and Freddy Freeman are completely healthy and they they want to finish the season they are the biggest threat to the dodgers in the National League for me. They're lying is absolutely relentless and with some of the pitching moves they made young and Old Dallas Cycle and the upgrades in their bullpen. I like that team. I don't like it as much as I like the dodgers but they can beat the dodgers with the team. They have right now so the nationals brightest moment was last night because you don't see them beating the dodgers correct I don't because they're going to start on the road. They've already use sure they're they've already Strasbourg people. They can get them back in time. I just don't think they held it too. I was worried shows a look tied at the floor four. Oh five in his last night I mean fifteen and won his last pitch and fit then it was I think it was at seventy seven pitches and he looked absolutely gassed. What does that about yeah? He's he's he's been hurt for portions of the year and he's had a little trouble getting that rhythm back in September and now in October and he is so max effort for on every single pitch when everything isn't working properly even he can get in trouble because almost nobody's better than him.

"And needs that they taken care of in terms of environmentalism awesome <hes> i mean the solution to these <hes> is another way of of talking about the problem of commons and i like to talk about it in terms of the comments because my bundled title to that as well. Let's get rid of the comments right <hes> if you privatize everything it's relatively easy right. I know we know that. I can't put my garbage in your backyard because there's private property in two thousand years. We've had common law that said that is not if we privatize lakes and if we tied privatize rivers and we had water rights it's and it was all clear about what those rights implied and there was the beginning of that in the nineteenth century in the late nineteenth century with the west and development of west is beginning of development of a law did related to water rights and things like that all went away when the government took it all over but imagine we would we privatized all of that you privatize fishing to privatize the ocean front and all of that. I don't know necessarily how to do it. That's something that needs to evolve. It's something that economists thought she was a law to figure out but if you did that a lot of these issues fixed analogies go away if if you're spewing cyanide and i'm and i'm reading it and it's it's clearly damaging me then i sue you and once it's been established in a court that cyanide in the is bad for people it's fine for the legislature to come in banned cyanide from being spewed into the i bet the standard has to be human will be and it has to be proven even and i prefer there was proven in a court of law and then they just they just steps in generalized off of that versus today with e._p._a. Stud decides that a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of some chemical maybe one day we're not sure will cause you some harm so therefore banning by some arbitrary standard or by political manipulation by by you know we've got the cold lobby and we've got the environmental lobby and we've got the workers lobbying. We've got fifteen. Lobbies are pulling <unk> directions in regulations to determine <hes> laws to determine <hes> protection of individuals which is i think the only role of government determined by <hes> you know this pull these these pope peddlers these <hes> these assist so-called special interest groups pressure groups rather than by facts so i think all of these have relatively easy answer. I mean realistically can can you privatize the air when when you're talking about pollution smog in los angeles for example and the chain of is not necessarily clear because everybody who's driving the car in the city of los los angeles and you have a major free writer problem. How do you exactly determine who exactly did this and even if people don't do it you can so so so the deal is with assigned jewish. I think is very easy. If you don't like smog in los angeles don't live in los angeles. We live in a big country. Wyoming is unbelievably pretty and is no smog in wyoming. Don't live in los angeles the the idea that i get a move to los angeles right and say oh too many people that driving i should be able to vote to stop them to change the kind of 'cause the driver. I would put filters on. I mean that's absurd. This city is built on 'cause this is the city was founded on the highway system on mass transportation patients through 'cause if you don't like that if that offends you if that causes you some health problems moved away or don't come to los angeles right the certain ways in which we can privatize certain air rights rate you can you know if i have a home and then you start flying airplanes above my home and disturbing me. There's legal recourse that you can get and the airport was their first and now i by the home and now we complain about the planes tough..

"Every liquor store was stripped bare. <hes> Elijah Cummings the twenty six year Congressman from Baltimore Baltimore <hes> was watched on television cameras as he just stood nonchalantly ten feet away from the liquor store there was being looted and he did it absolutely nothing to stop it but then that was the attitude of the Democrats these were his constituents who are doing the looting so he wasn't going to object in the wake of that basically the Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake <hes> who had just basically given orders to the police don't resist. Don't try to arrest the looters. Don't do anything to stop them. Let the city burn was what she in effect said. She told the press that her message was we also gave those who wished to destroy the space to do that as well and we work very hard to keep that balance and that's what a progressive city is like and you notice many American cities have started to imitate it the rat swarming over Los Los Angeles the crime simply being allowed to run amok in many American cities like well I if we had the weapon of indignation and knock on the power of the first cities to die. Why would these big democratic cities? They have cannibalism not just the rats but people it would be unbelievable. Well well this. I I remember long long ago when I was think. Take futurist being involved in one of the nest studies <hes> Ness with the national entity survival studies which is to say how how would you target nuclear weapons on another nation taff maximum effect and and the answer is he would destroy their national entity <hes> there is something that gives every society a sense of cohesion that we are together. We are one the people and so on in the then then then they decided they would test ness technologies aiming it back at the United States and ask how it is an enemy target us they would target us by leaving not killing a maximum number of people with nuclear weapons they would leave a maximum number of people alive they would simply tried to decapitate the leaders who could provide coherence to the country because in Los Angeles for example. What do you have you have millions and millions of people who have never known the stuff not to go down flush the toilet never known water not to be there when they turned on the tap tap never learned to sleep in the dark without a night light? <hes> never known the neighbor who lived only four doors away but you knew we had a gun <hes> I mean this is a known that Los Angeles has the latest policing of any major city in the United States. Maybe in the world world but when I say late policing I mean they have about eleven hundred police for every one hundred thousand people what that means beans is and they have more in New York but it's mainly because of their skyscrapers they have to put a certain number of police in a skyscraper to protect it but but in Los Angeles everything is based on mobility of the police their ability to get ten miles down the road in six and seven seven.

If you don't create revolutionary ought you can be you can do charity. Look you can educate you. Can you know you can calm people down. You can support people. There's so much need for people like that and the world as much as the forerunners like if you think about like a football team has an attack defense. There's a middle ground in tennis. Those defenses offensive says in war. There's the frontline backline the ambulance drivers everything like that like you need to understand that everybody in the world needs everybody else to be doing something different for them as well for everyone to survive. "Awesome. So I remember you telling me Steve that on your buddy, Sam Rubin. Yes. Desta for KTLA entertainment reporter out there. Yeah. In Los Los Angeles on says that this is a good predictor of the the Oscars right is show, though. This is please do not tarnish his name. No, the critics choice and the BAFTA 's. Okay. Kind of funnels for what happens at the Academy Awards. Okay. Here's what I have heard. This is usually a good predictor of the Oscars because actors make up the biggest block of Oscar voter. Yeah. Well, you know, it's actually with some of last night's surprising wins, and we saw them on both the television and movie side it. It might have been the best thing that could happen to the Academy Awards because by the way, everybody feels kind of about the Academy Awards this year. There's no host that just and it's always the uptight show. So without us knowing who's going to be there to make it fun and make fun of it. People are a little, but the fact that Black Panther one and is nominated for best picture Academy Awards. Feels like who knows? Maybe maybe there could be a little bit of a shake-up. You know, what was peculiar last night? Also was that? A star is born essentially there was nothing now. So in a lot of people have felt that that was going to be the Oscar favourite right lady Gaga funny. Even in preparing last night. You put in our prep lady Gaga, let's prepare for her speech. And then she didn't win. Yeah. So I it was a good night for the Academy Awards. I think because there was just enough of a little shakeup where you think everybody likes a little something different. I guess exactly. Like, I was so excited when Emily blunt one for a quiet place. Yeah. Because we hadn't heard anything about her being a contender. Now. She's she's not nominated for an Academy Award. However, but still that shows that there are some differing opinions amongst you're right there over voters Christian bale didn't win last now. And this is probably the first award show. How you win again because he lost to Rami. Malik amazing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So we're going to get to some of those speeches coming up throughout the show. We're going to get to Meghan Mullaly. As host see what you guys thought about that. We'll have some of our favorite moments. They're all coming up in lieu of things that make you go when we come back on mytalk one zero seven one. You're busy. You might have missed it. That's why we.

"We night the country, the hate, they all everyone else hates us all thirty one other teams, thirty one other fan bases. What other team can you say that about? So you're United not dividing exactly. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I don't buy that at all this world in which laughed when I even gave the sense that they would even be considered America's. They are United United in hate. I love rooting for the bad guys. I love it because I've always been a Red Sox fan. I wasn't like a big football fan when I was a little kid, but the Red Sox were always the underdogs. Everybody loved the Red Sox, and I couldn't understand why anybody wouldn't be Yankee fan, bad guys. And now I get it right. It's fun. So you don't shoot during football season? No, no, we don't. So, well, we start sort of at the end starting January January, February. Are you guys watching playoff games together like you enjoying Johnson ever sitting? Oh yeah. What we do is we have love seats. We all sit in love seats and there's like a groove worn out in the love seat where we all hold hands or on the set of each other grapes nachos. Which is the romance most romantic of food. Right. 'cause Dwayne Johnson was saps roommate at the u. way back in the day. Oh yes. They know each other from that far back everybody ballers season four HBO ten PM eastern on on HBO. Okay. You're you just wrote this piece about being a better dad, right for men's health as right, correct. That's how can you help people in the rich Eisen show viewing and listening audience be a better dad. You have certain my my whole premise with that article was that the best way to be better dad is to be super selfish. Okay. You know, basically just do what because it's not easy with a little little kid on a Saturday, and you've got them all day to fill that time. And all you wanna do is take nap after our too. So you wanna fill your day, fill their day with things that you like to do? Yes. But you just gotta change the context a little bit. How so? What are you gonna for me, I like to drive. So what I would do is I would drive around my neighborhood and play this game with my kids called blitz, get lost. And they would just go right left left. Right, and we would. They think they there were so nervous the whole time. Like what if we really get lost like in Los Los Angeles, the main streets? I, I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen. This is what you're doing with your children, then we'll play. Let's get found. This is what I do. Yeah, it was fun. It was really, let's go get laws. Okay. I've seen some pretty cool stuff now in this in this city because so now teach them gambling is something as well. Yeah. Okay. And that's actually something why written that? I hadn't done as much, but we went to, we're in Wyoming a couple of weeks ago, and my wife had to go do something. I forget what it was just me and the kids, and I had a pack of cards. And I taught them how to play blackjack. I talked them how to bet when to maybe up your bet and and there's this old couple looking at us across the restaurant, and the woman is just staring like burning a hole in my in my head. And he just he looked at me and I kinda gave him a glance and he went out of board. And they're good to their good gamblers. They're good basic strategy blackjack. Okay. Have you, have you incorporated your children in any of your fantasy leagues? Have you done anything like that? No, they're not. You know what? Actually last last night of all nights. The worst game in NFL history. So I'm going to fall asleep here just thinking about it. But way my daughter, my youngest honor came in for the first time. I was like, daddy, can I watch football with you? How old is she? She's seven. Eight. Okay. No, she's nine. Between six and ten. We don't really very well. No, she's nine. She's not. Okay. And this is the first time and I've tried to convince her that football is her thing. I was like telling you that the running backs take ballet lessons and I'm like, look, there's a spin..
