"They through Seattle instead of running gave new. England. The opportunity to win the game and Cam Damn Near. Did it. Just like Brady would have done I. I'm thinking he's moving the ball down the field. He's finding Edelman. To the tune of one, hundred, seventy, nine yards. The most elements ever gotten in his career. To Games seen one road game in. And Element is flashing. In terms of yardage. In a manner that. We never saw before. K. Three hundred ninety seven yards passing Cam Newton last night. And Yeah we talk about the play call I thought it was the right thing to do. You can't stop camp that, but Seattle overloaded the CAN. She bounced it outside I don't think it would I don't know but all I do know is this. Patriots aren't used to moral victories. have at this was one damn straight. Your team is GonNa be just fine. My only concern for you. After watching last night. Is that your goat coach is wearing his mask like it's feedback. I think upside down on what's going on it was really weird. Looking at, it's like a feed bag or over his mouth covered. Next thing you're seeing its carbon, his nose, but only barely below his lower lip looked like a beak like. Eyes, wide shut situation done like there's a lot of stuff like Fidel you I have no idea what's going on I'm just I just concerned about that. That's. Totally right. A couple of those defenders who opted out. That's another point Chan. I. Six guys go the NBC showed that. Fred Goodell Ian. His staff phenomenal producing Sunday night football it six guys know. Over. Over Over five hundred snaps. On defense. To the best one last year Patrick. Chung. Dont`a hightower Peter King came on and basically said, Hey, the linebacking group is what is the spine of the defense the all new Well I. Mean Rusted Cook. We for sure but I think we're going to find we'll. We'll have no problems going to be cooking against everybody and by by October, he should have his own cooking show I mean that's got to happen. With him and his him and his wife will be I, mean, how does that not happen? So. That was my takeaway last night that Russell Wilson is, in fact, two weeks in an MVP candidates we all thought that Seattle to me was the winner of the NFC. West. There are two. Other to and teams in division including your Los Angeles Rams I mean they're playing. So well as fans were allowed on the stadium, both of you might actually consider not selling your tickets now I go. Okay. And then. You got the Arizona, cardinals and the. To An, looking very good and then the forty niners who are thoroughly wiped out due to injury right now but it's still early. And they next take on the giants. Who just during my conversing with you about Seattle and watching Cam perform the way that he is it was announced. That the MRI confirmed a tornado. The giants just tweeted this out at the top of our show surgery. Japan. That will wrap it up for Saquon. A and. He's such a good kid. And He has erased all of his posts on instagram except a post. About, Kobe Bryant. I think that that is specific I. Don't think it's because Anthony. Davis made that three pointer to beat the nuggets with no time left in the bubble last night and mouthed the words. Kobe. Did you see that by the way? I did K.. I don't think it's that I. think he is using the Mamba mentality and what Kobe did with his Achilles. To Inspire himself that's that's the way I would interpret. This. Social Media Play, and as we talk, we always read into what's going on social media these days but that literally just happened. And I can't believe it's happened to him and obviously this is supposed to be a big season for Danny dimes and his maturation Joe Judge in his first tenure as coach in this league for the giants and to the giants credit they almost won that game in Chicago yesterday, which is more than you could say about the jets. became if I will not go down a jet where here I won't do it. We still have three hours to go here. But there's that news. And the man who Daniel Jones supplanted he giant legend. Ui Manning will be joining us in about seven minutes time more than enough time for me to get in. By. Thoughts about the Dallas Cowboys. And the Atlanta Falcons. Now all these injuries that we've seen in week two. Could be. A testament to the fact that there were no preseason games. There were what was no contact know maybe this would have happened should have happened in week one if you really want to connect the two dots of no preseason in a rash of injuries. That we saw yesterday, maybe it should happen in week one if you want to connect that the one thing you can absolutely connect. To the fact that there's no preseason. I think. Are. Some special. Teams Gaffes. To say the least. We saw one in week one where the bucks just let A. Kickoff drop in New Orleans. which led to an extra possession for the saints and eventually a loss. For Tampa which by the way. They have begun to dig out of the hole with Leonard Fournette flashing now, and he's our I guess tomorrow by the way, oh? Fantastic just in. That's my guy so. Special Teams Gaffes. We will go the rest of this year if you had to put on the top five. List if you want to create a top five, twenty, twenty season, the damndest things you we will see. Okay. damndest things we will see all season long. You will have to put the. Atlanta Falcons watching. An onside kick that is kicked by Greg's earlier the kicker not using the t a matter of fact, just placing the ball. For an oblong. Object flat..

"Camera John Ritchie 94 W II pay. Speaking of listening, You gotta listen to this, Doug Peterson answered on Angelo question today. But I think it's fair to say was the highlight of the interview and pretty Ah, pretty telling. In my opinion, we get to that In short order. Let's go back to the phones to 1559 to 94 94 go to Derek in west Philadelphia, Derek Of boy, man. Yeah. Listen, I must say I was going by the way we're doing all right. Doing all right there. You know, I'ma tell you something. The same from the family, right? Okay, pause the hammer's life. Some of the world's quarterback in the league for the last two weeks. Card somewhere. Yeah, he was down there at the bottom. No quarterback, this one from the league. I didn't realize that it is sure looks like it. Get more. Unbelievable. Have really He's stolen. He's averaging glee and I have And especially her gate. We'll tow He's averaging two interceptions. He's got the one. It's 2.5 turnovers because of five turnovers. You know, this guy got off, probably nothing about this. During the last three years, he's thrown seven interceptions. For the year. I know that. I mean, you're right, and now he's thrown four in two games like to me. It feels like there's been a drastic change in something. You know what? You're right. It's all yours. You're right. So I won't get you. You're right about that, because once and has happened with him getting better. Is that everything? Get better on purpose and progressing on purpose. And definitely I don't. I don't I don't think I will. Is it because you got pain and I just don't want to play harmony. I don't know. I really don't. But one thing I do know is that the whole team looks Atrocious and they even Washington law. And they look bad because they're bad, but they were against us. It is scary, Derek. But by the way all week more of those phone calls about about me being right. There was a good start to the call There, you watch. Listen, I wish I wasn't Eric. I really dope because it's going to really induct proceeded to call. I mean, I'm playing around there, but it's going to really hurt the Eagles. I mean, you know, you know what I said last week. I told you last week on Monday that I don't think Carson will be the quarterback in 2022. I feel more emboldened in that position. There's no doubt you just keep playing in this year. You just keep playing and you just keep playing him. Because you know you hope that he can climb out of this and you look at his contract and you recognized that you know, next year. He'll very, very, very, very likely be the starting quarterback when the season starts next year, But I really see a scenario where at some point next year with Mohr of this kind of play were even better than this, but not good enough. Did they say? We can't go with this guy anymore? And I guess make the transition to hurts at some point next year, And I think that that is illogical to assume that that would happen with Doug being here. Still, it may not. I believe the first change that they make is Doug is gone. You bring in an offensively minded head coach, you find someone who's going to Invent wrinkles, you know, establish a new Ah I don't think it'll save new like new concepts like the next Shawn McVeigh. Like, Find a guy like that. By the way. Brandon Staley, that defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams. He's a guy 37 years old. That was the second game he's ever coached. You know, a former quarterback, a guy who knows what messes with a quarterback's head. No disguising things a little bit something that you know Jim Schwartz could take a page from from that local. Sure, Johnny your point about dog and Carson. New up and coming coach who wants to redeem Carson went that that is the first step that maybe I think it would be the wrong step. But that may happen. There's no doubt more often than not the Talented or perceived, talented player stays longer than the coach across all sports. There's no doubt normally, the owner, especially the high price player gets sided with, and he stays in the coach goes, and that's a classic example would be Ben Simmons and bread Brown. But you know the reality is that I personally do not think you know, Let's go to door number two and someone else comes in is going to fix Carson. Now I could be wrong. But Mike, my belief is that the Carson is just too lost right now and and unlikely to get it back. You know, he is indeed lost right now, but it's more than just metal. I mean, it's just at what point do the issues with accuracy do people just say He is what he is. He's just not accurate. He's just not It is not If he's not accurate, he can be mechanically fixed to where he is better than what he is. Could it be a little better? I guess, but John, it's like the guy that throws 88 in baseball, and that's what he tops out. And you say, Well, why doesn't he throw 94? Be cause he doesn't throw 94. He throws 88 memory every once in a while. The guy that throws first of all Carson guy who throws 88 Sorry to throw 78 Carson's The guy throws. 98 can't find them. Yeah, he's the guy who was not better, and you can't con has no control there. Enough. All right, let's let's get to what Doug said that I thought this was a pretty interesting exchange. There's a pause in here, and there's an answer in here and both to may, both with Doug said, And what dog did not say when I say what he did not say? I mean, the pause this to me with his interview with Angelo this morning. I thought pretty telling into his mindset in frustration with Carson. Here's Doug Peterson is warning a question from Angelo about the most pivotal point of the game yesterday. And an answer from Doug make of it. What you will hear is the exchange this morning. To throw into the Ends up that would have given you the lead. Why white side as your intended receiver when you have so many other, more veteran options. Good question. Good question. Um I'll just say that you know that's that's a play that I think Carson would like to have back. We'd all like to have back and I think I think the execution of the play would be a little bit different. You know, those were one of those things that We can't do we flat out can't do And we can't. We can't you know, all put ourselves in that situation. When we're coming out of the locker room. We just stopped them, right? We just We forced them to part we take the ball. I think we started on our 14 yard line, and we're moving the ball down the field and the chance to score and go ahead. You know in the game, and who knows what happens after that, and those air Those were the the so for me as the head coach. As bad as plays like that are Those are also teachable moments. Those are those are those are learning lessons for us and I, you know, I use the phrase a lot around here. Pain instruction. And those were one of those painful moments. That's goingto instruct us. Um and we're gonna have to learn from that, and obviously Coach that teach that and prepare our players that way. There he is. Doug Peterson, as he is every Monday morning after Eagles games at 8 A.m. with Angelo. My interpretation of his answer is Hey, Doug is really, really trying tow hang in there and not publicly blast the quarterback. He wants Tio. He's frustrated, but he's got to try to find a way to appropriately professionally. Answer a question. But he's getting to his wits and with the Cuba that's that's how I heard that. John. What's driving that pause, Wass. Okay, let me think about how to answer this one. It's intentional. I mean, it's seriously it's intentional. You're saying he's not selling him out. He's selling him out with that pause. Well, fine, but there's no one who listened to that and doesn't interpreted as Oh, Wow. Doug really is frustrated with Carson like it's no secret. I mean, if you're trying to protect Carson, your answer is You know?.

"Doesn't seem like a thirty-seven-year-old should be getting that kind of workload, but somehow some way that materializes so good for Franco I. Guess. Jerry Judy of the Broncos also suffered an injury doesn't seem to be serious. He left the field without assistance, but he did not return in the game. Other. Players around the league CAM ACRES LEFT THE EAGLES RAMS game. He's the rams running back out of Florida state second round pick with a rib injury in the first drive of the game and he was questionable return than he was downgraded to out ribbon juries can linger they're kind of dangerous but you can also play through that kind of pain with a padded vest. But if he cannot do that, it's going to be the Malcolm Brown show for the rams who beat up on the eagles. Anthony Barr. Hurt his right arm. He's the Vikings linebacker in their loss to the Indianapolis Colts Devante Adams left the game with hamstring tightness and he did not return so we're going. To have to monitor to see how serious that hamstring injury is tag McKinley got injured with a groin. He is a defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons Kalem Gary hurt his knee. He is tackle for the Falcons. Ricardo. Alan is a safety for the Falcons and he hurt his elbow as well. So there were a lot of injuries and there's even other ones that you can kind of go through which I will perish. Campbell of the Indianapolis Colts seem like he might have suffered a torn ACL papers carted off the field early in the colts game but x-rays came through it doesn't seem like it is that. So we're at the wait and see what his injuries but me hooker. is a very talented safety. The cold did not pick up fifth year option because he could never stay healthy he tours achilles. For the season and it sucks I love me cooker coming out of Ohio state. He's an absolute stud. It's very hard to find true single high safety with exceptional range and Malek Hooker possesses that but he cannot stay healthy and that's devastating loss for the Indianapolis Colts the also have the chargers and the chargers. A little bit weird because tyrod Taylor. And we'll talk about this during when we go over the game, tyrod Taylor was opposed to start this game. It was expected that he was going to start this game but in. The pre game, he had shortness of breath and his chest was hurting him and he couldn't start. So Justin Herbert just was given the rain. So we hope tyrod Taylor is okay. You got a monitor that situation we'll get into that a little bit later as well for Shod Peyramond ended up coming down with an injury, the receiver for the jets who was an ankle injury 'cause me the entire jets receiving courses decimated by. Injuries Denzel mims out with a hamstring James and crowded didn't play with a hamstring I. Mean we got Braxton Berrios out there catching touchdown passes right now and they're center Connor McGovern, also hurt his hamstring in this games. That's definitely not ideal for the new. York, jets who seem like vying for the number one overall pick things could get really interesting in April if they possess the number one overall pick picking Sam darnold continues to. Not, show enough even though he has absolutely nothing around him there's not a lot that guy can do Solomon. Thomas who was divas of tackle somebody forgot to mention when I was talking about the forty niners left a game with a knee injury as well. Hopefully, not torn ACL, but time will tell Marcus Blair hurt his knee he's a safety slot. Player for the seahawks that was on Sunday night football. So a lot of people probably ended up seeing that and then Brennan Sheriff the Right Guard for the Washington football team suffered a right knee injury twos. We'll have to wait to see what exactly happens. So there was a lot of injuries around the NFL and it's absolutely devastating to really talk about. To really think about because we expect a lot of injuries to happen there was truncated off season. There was not a lot of training camp. and. We expected players to kind of come down with a lot more soft injuries and things of that nature. Some of these players may not of their training as seriously as they probably should have but that's not even a product of a lot of these injuries. Some of them were just freak injuries and football's also just very very violin game played by some of the top athletes in the world but let's dive into this giant game real quick. The first game that we go over to seventeen thirteen loss for the New York football giants, they drop to Owen too, which is really unfortunate because. The bears go to an hour and I really don't think the bears are that much. Better, than the New York giants, but they won here at home but teams typically that are starting to now. Her nine teams right now that are two now and the teams that are to know are the buffalo bills, the Kansas City chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens the Pittsburgh steelers at the Tennessee titans the on a car. Los Angeles Rams the Seattle seahawks the Green Bay packers the Chicago bears those are all the two and oh teams right now, sixty two percent of teams that start to know typically make the playoffs and now that could be more expanded because seven teams from. Will make the playoffs for the first time in NFL history. There will be three wildcard team. So these teams are obviously in a great spot right now and the bears man seventeen to thirteen. They scored seventeen points, the first half and got. Shut out in the second half. The New York giants defense stepped up. They were opportunistic in the second half even know the bears rushing attack was able to run the football down the giant's throat in the fourth quarter, which was pretty frustrating with David. Montgomery. The giants were resilient Ma'am. They played really really tough really really strong football down the stretch. They battled through a lot of injuries in this game..

NFL reminds teams to follow sideline rules on face coverings

"The National Football League is threatening to find head coaches if they don't adhere to Corona virus rules requiring face masks on the sidelines. During the first weekend of games. Some coaches were saying not wearing coverings. We have the latest from NPR's Tom Goldman. In a Monday memo to the NFL's 32 teams. We'd executive Troy Vincent praised what he called the tireless efforts to make the season possible during the pandemic. But Vincent also warned those who defy rules unmasks everyone in team bench areas on the field except players has to wear a face covering in all times. Failure to do so, Vincent wrote, will result in accountability measures against individuals and or clubs. Those measures include finds during Sunday's nationally televised game between Dallas and the Los Angeles Rams. Ella head coach Sean McVeigh, often at his mask under his chin, while Dallas is Mike McCarthy wore his thie entire game. Tung Goldman NPR news

Carson Wentz pummeled, Eagles suffer distressing loss to Washington

"To say the least, the opener of the Eagles or their fans were hoping form K Y. W's David Graham joins us Live talk about everything that went wrong against Washington. Actually, David, we talked about everything that went wrong, You'd be here, you know, Still a week from Tuesday, right? Hello, Dave. Hey, Brandon, Well last year in the in the Eagles came back against Washington from the 17 Nothing deficit this year, they called up 17 Nothing. Lee's started out as a celebration for Eagles fans of the 2020 season. And it has turned into a nightmare. Meryl Reece called 27 17. Lawson, w. P, and one of the reasons yesterday happened, Carson went back eight times behind an inexperienced offensive line definitely didn't make me skittish. You know, some of those things I gotta clean up might had open guys that I could get rid of the ball quicker. Doug Peterson said. The sax can't happen to head coach called 42 past place to 17 run, he admitted. The run game needs cleaning up a CZ well. Necessarily in game no for throwing a run, and I just I just know that we're going to execute the play called and do our best. Tio try to score the Los Angeles Rams or next. So this is one game of a long season and No, That's what we're gonna we're gonna focus on this week and Brandon last night. The Rams beat the Cowboys already. Thank you, Dave. On the

"Terms, and restrictions. Apply I thought my cooper seemed off. It was strange. And that's kind of been the situation with the Mari. Right a strange sort of situation thought. Michael Gallup. I mean I guess we we can talk right now. There was of course, the O. P. I call at the end I got a little bit dragged for this on twitter. I don't hate that call I if I'm being honest I think I didn't the call is fair. I really do I've seen that play called that way I'm not a referee. But I, I have seen that play called offense a pass interference and Michael Gallup is you know I was texting with somebody and they were saying there's no Qatar in Michael gobs definitely making context and so at the very least you can see how the call would be made whether or not you think it's okay or not it's a different story but Jalen Ramsey obviously did a great job of selling it. So I can I can see that call, but ultimately, the game is not want or lost on. The cowboys lucky to be indicating at that point, and that's why it kind of reminded me of the New Orleans Saints Game from last year because I mean the couch was had no business being a negative, they should've lost way more. You consider the fact that the rams sediments feel goal that they had some weird things go their way. There was the penalty that should have been on Alden Smith on the sack jared again, that should have been a penalty. But I mean. The game was not lost their as my point. Mall around the subject where we're going back and forth and everything I thought Alden Smith played really great I do this is. This is the regular season. I do five winners and five losers after every cowboys game over at blogging the boys dot Com Alden. Smith will, of course, be one of my winners looked great. Obviously Great Story etc just thought played really really well. That would be penalty. Aside I thought Smith just had a great game for the cowboys and I think there's a lot of excited about their. All Smith, I thought that there were three players on the cowboys defense who played really well at that Alden? Smith played really well, I thought trayvon digs played really well, even though he got beat I thought that you know he just he just got sometimes you just cannot do more and I thought the Trayvon played a great game and I thought Tristan Hill played really well, you know there was the Trayvon stop the third down stop near the end of the game that doesn't happen without hill, and so I thought that Alden Smith Tristan Hill Trayvon. Davis was sort of my my biggest winners on the defensive side of the ball I know Tuesday got the interception. And that was cool. But I mean that was just one moment. It was cool. You know not that was a moment but it was cool to see Antoine Woods used. Cowboys fullback to Zeke Elliott into the end zone. But that that was kind of story on defense right? I mean it was just there are some nice moments in some guys played hard. But. Ultimately it was. It was just flat. It wasn't even flat like they got beat like fifty, two nothing it was flagged just let the rams not even walk all over them but just they let the rams lackadaisical chill all over them, which was really hard to understand. But so that again, there are a lot of problems on defense on offense like I said, I thought played great I thought was was really good. I thought that was kind of a question mark I thought lamb had a nice NFL debut. It wasn't wasn't a gigantic day by any means obvious that cd-rom lamb had a really really really solid debut however made a grave mistake and this was you know this is our post game show. So I think every time we do one of these introducing the brand new hashtag segment and the Hashtag there is extremely not serious. But. Where where was the game loss where the game was lost to me? Or one where the where the game was one. But unfortunately, we're talking about a loss here. In the loss to me happened and I think you'll agree with twelve minutes and thirty seconds left third and six cowboys in scoring position down by three. I have no problem with on the next play going forward on fourth down zero. There are people and maybe you're one of them maybe your friend or your family member or somebody who's one of them they're saying that I'm forced down to cowboys should have kicked to feel should have tied the game, etc I don't. I don't buy that. I am fine with the decision to go for it on fourth down and I'm fine with on third and six year determining and saying, okay, it's third and six. I. Know I'm going for this on fourth down. So got to place I don't have to get all six yards on third down because I numb go for it on. Fourth down and all that. However, you cannot run the ball on thirty six that close to the goal line in that situation down through when you're trying to score a touchdown. Especially when you're GONNA go down you cannot just run the ball. You can't that. That's that's the part of that sequence that I have a problem with because that is so confident. To the ideas that we have sort of taken away from WHO Mike McCarthy is we've taken we've talked about him being this efficient analytically driven person and coach in the NFL and that was an archaic way of thinking archaic might be a bit too strong but that was definitely an older school way of thinking and whether Mike McCarthy made that decision or not. Obviously. He's the head coach. So he gets the credit he gets to blame whatever that was that was the decision that lost their game with the Dallas cowboys and then to get back to what kind of started this CD. Lame. On fourth down, you can't run shorter the sticks you can't it's it's fourth down you gotTa get past sticks. That's KINDA NFL one. Oh, one that's. I don't even want to call it a rookie mistakes. Let's just. Just. Something that happened. So. That was that was a bummer. Game was lost. I mentioned injuries goodness. Gracious. I mean the cowboys just got beat up in this game lane vander started talked about him as a broken collarbone. We have no idea how much time he'll miss. But again, NFL networks in report did say that he should be back this season who knows what exactly that means again, it's now eleven forty five ish pm central time on Sunday night. So we will probably find out on Monday maybe Monday afternoon we'll, of course, like I said, keep you updated epilogue otherwise dot com and on all of our social properties..

"You know if you're on twitter, if you follow along on twitter throughout game days and things like that, there was some discussion that. The line for this game had moved and a lot of people were wondering why was very funny funny business, etc etc etc. We found out shortly before kick off the couch. WE'RE GONNA be starting terrence steel that undrafted free agent offensive tackle out of Texas tech at right tackle and I don't know that that was why the line moved. If the line really did move again it was kind of a fishy situation but I, mean, that's. That's that's that's bold to. To start. To start rookie general tackle is borne board as bold. Let, alone, undrafted free agent rookie offensive tackle. especially. You. Know One on one or anything but I mean especially against the defensive line that features Aaron Donald. This cow is offensive line had a rough go I mean and you're gonNA have a refco against Aaron Donald and that's just the way it goes but. Overall. I thought offensively and going back and forth here. But offensively, I thought the cowboys were okay. Again it was nineteen, Forty Burger but I thought Dak Prescott really good I thought that Dak Prescott looks very capable looked in control. Had some great moments individually but my mvp of the game if I have to pick you know one which I guess we're going to do my MVP Ezek. Zuccarelli it looked incredible through. This was the best version of that. We have seen in a long time, which is not a slight at all as you can I mean it's a testament to how you know what might be lesser for him is still significantly better than anybody else. But Ziege looks to be an incredible shape right now, and in many ways, kind of carried the cowboys offense. In some instances finished with ninety six yards and a touchdown Dak Prescott. Through different touchdown and so if you have you the one in fantasy, you know you're likely benefited from that. But support for this podcast comes from cdw in Dell Technologies. CDW WG. "Opener against the Los Angeles Rams could be in jeopardy. NFL officials are trying to determine if the air quality in L. A is safe to play in due to the statewide wildfires in California. The league monitors the local air quality index on a scale of 0 to 500 readings. That measure above 200 could cause the game to be delayed or relocated. And as of yesterday the local readings and Inglewood were at 1 48. I'm Tanner

Isaac Bruce: Los Angeles Rams should 'absolutely' bring in Antonio Brown

"NFL teams rolled the dice on another talented but flawed player he played for the Steelers became a poster child for tantrums while with the Raiders and Patriots. So Ram's Hall of Fame receiver Isaac Bruce was on CBS Sports radio and was asked should Sean McVeigh and Les Snead Get Antonio Brown for the Rams. Absolutely. I mean, you're talking about one of the premier wide receivers from the past decade that we had, Ah, guy that was very productive. Bruce says. Being out of football for his Lana's Brown has has made him ready to concentrate on playing again going anybody you know, being in their right mind. I can make the life adjustments to do something that they love to do. And therein lies the problem. If his mindset has changed. Sure, be a great idea. If not see Antonio the Raider. Randy

"By man makes in that matchup for a king. That's the matchup. Rarely Bob Ori- bobble or he thinks that it does what it does. I think grant also feels that the that's the case anyway. Listen delightful conversation is always there spaghetti. You know I'm right. You can just not right. I think after watching I realized how great the bowl seems really are because you always said those teams that bulls played. Weren't that good but like the Barclay sons. The Sonics were awesome. There are a lot of really good west teams. I remember that good. I thought your whole thing. The commission that John that the sons winning game seven. That's not right. I'm sick. I thought I was one of your take on up for a guy that spent his formative years in some of the most happy years of his life in Chicago. You really do like the crap. All over their sports teams regularly do not. Do I do your little hypothetical hypothetical for the Bulls like everything is just one giant crap fest all over that city? At least there's more significant and lobby. J What would have happened. If the dolphins went and knocked off the Patriots Jordan would never retired. Team would have eight hit. He and his sixth place his sixth seed rockets. That were pushed to to an elimination game in each of their first series. They would've eight the greatest player in team sports history for lunch Michael.

"Had to move trained practising in Arizona than that homecare the buzz ages they wake up on Sunday morning and they are playing in a stadium that they drive to and the other team has had to fly into and who knows what flying enough of a pain for for an NFL team already and who knows what the the new will bring us with with travel on whether comes even more complicated even with the charter. Flights that teams take well hopefully come autumn. There will be pro football times too in Los Angeles in the brand new shiny stadium. There one vein. I'm assuming but feel free to tell me I'm wrong about this one any of the three you. We know that the chargers are GonNa be the better looking squad out there. Thanks to their powder. Blue Gaps versus wall was unveiled on Wednesday. This week the new. La Rams I'M GONNA start with EU handsome because money. You know a little in the bag. Of course I'm going to start with Gabriel by. I'M GONNA go with you here in. What do you think I think I have a couple takes I? This is more like we're now at the end of uniform. Unveilings full for twenty twenty a bunch at whatever. Six seven teams change uniform so might take. It's as much about the whole process as it is about the rams in particular First of all in the rams like the the went back to old the old but they didn't really fully embrace the idea of of going back to in history to the to the look great in the eighties. I think they could have done that. And I think everyone would have come away from that feeling pretty happy that that certainly was sort of the rest was just made to help right. Just make the helmet. Color that you've made it now so that it matches the Royal Blue Jersey and everybody you probably. You probably would have been good exactly. That said you know I got. I don't hate those colors together. I think I think they're fine. I do feel like the way that these uniforms until just moving more broadly to to takes number one the way the uniforms look it. Feels like that kind of superheroes something like it. They don't look like football uniforms anymore. This may be one net presented as new uniforms. It looks like a sort of superheroes outfits kind of on I wanNA see like. It's all very well. Unveiling them with wide receivers and cornerbacks and safeties wearing uniforms. If I when I unbound minute uniform it's going to be with -fensive Linemen and defensive lineman. I want fat guys wearing the uniform. Because that's really what you see Boko. That's the most of the team is not is not like a you know a a skinny little guy that mostly at ease built and I want to see like how does this look with some cubs and some bulges. And that's never ever how they're unveil about how Andy Spaghetti walking the walk in the runway. The new model for all uniforms. That's future it'll ordering from Chinese wholesale sites to just give them the actual you got over asymmetrical Mohawk there. That would be great spaghetti. Matt Money Smith Your thoughts. Well I'm not a fan. I think I think you hit it on the head. I thought you know the the rams uniforms of the eighties are in. The conversation. Is is the greatest uniforms in in the NFL the ages of the NFL beautiful. And I think you could have just kind of updated that particular uniform and and been fine Instead you kind of have this well. We're we're in la so see how our numbers look like a sunset on the sand. Isn't that cool now now? It's not cool. Make them make them the goal that they've always been and put them on a Royal Blue Jersey. I don't understand why they felt the need to have the numbers. Look Kinda like Aram Horn. That seems like that's going a little too far. They're incongruous with the new. The Font is not congruent. With the font on the side on the sleeve the numbers are two different fonts. It's very weird and and the piping looks weird it looks. It just looks like it's out of place I don't know I'm just not really fan and I had a feeling I wasn't going to be a fan after I saw the logo and they decided that was a good idea. This was show easy. Just update the old ones. Because you've already got some of the best uniforms of all time in the NFL. What is the I mean? I like the. I like the gradient affect the rainbow of the Denver Nuggets. I like the I like the pelicans. That You know I like the What is it the Purple Green and Yellow? That they wear. I like the steelers. Bumblebees I like those. I like Kinda broad striping gradient on the numbers though is unappealing maybe it's the Pallor of yellow. That it is. It doesn't work whatever it is and then the then. The road uniforms that got stuck in the wash was the pair of new black. What is it a nothing like? They're not they're not wait longer. Gray dingy why looks like that? Looks like that. Like A kids Y. S. O. Soccer team where one mother was sent own with all the jerseys and they were white and then there was an accident and they have to persuade the kids that actually this was intentional alone. It's also a little bit like we're talking about with Neil pert or that. I was trying to make the point about Neil perk okay the the nuance of of of how technically sound. He is great. But it's the same thing like well now you have to learn. Why if you look at the numbers why they have that little dark earth red in them because that's an edge to Lhasa. I don't care what right does not the hell do. I care about what what the back story is. Yeah I can't see it on my TV. I don't I don't care less I'm wearing it. It's it's it's weird in it. Misses the mark for me. Maybe they sell more as a result. Maybe that's the goal but just in my I watching it. It's how hairs with whoever they're on the field with. It reminds me very much like the overly elaborate uniforms. Like that are a distraction. And they don't jibe with whoever they're playing against in the same way that the ubiquitous pizza box that you get with the one guy looks like a a heavy set Italian guy with the mustache in the foreground. He's Kinda Paunchy and he's delivering a pizza but then the guy working the stove right behind him is a cartoon character. Who kind of looks like beaker? From from the muppets. Like what the hell are those guys doing on the same kitchen? Same thing whoever the rams play it's going to be like the same thing as watching the jags in those weird Melted Rollo Candy. Hats that they were wearing the same thing. It's like what how those to wind up on the same field. They don't look right together. That's the favor you do with a good uniform for whoever your play the one thing we have to wait full unhoped we to your point earlier day. We will get to see it. This fall is in a new stadium Part of the attraction like the forty nine in candlestick park. It was always about how the Sun hit. Field knits. This definitely was the same at the Coliseum as well as the sun hits the field with those uniforms like the mix of that on TV. We'll have to Englewood. What's what's what's light like. How do those uniforms look in that light? 'cause that's GonNa be key to this whole thing that's why you're going to see them the most while walking around. La The most you know at least that's is like just a person wearing not the elastic on the sides. You know sort of tank. Top SORTA muscle shirt. Now you're gonNA see the replicas.

"Not exactly be easy for the rams to rebuild the rams took a very very interesting approach they went all in we didn't criticize him for thought thanks a lot of them okay good you think you got to the right team go up because by itself we don't guys I did absolutely I got a lot of that I thought it was great it's great if you win it's not good if you don't and you have a real absence of assets to try to bridge the gap of the rebuild which they obviously don't based on all the trades they made so what it in totality here if you want to incorporate with Jared Goff said about his contract may be willingness to rework that restructure who they've lost where they are it's a good division what should rams fans expect next season provided there is a season well I mean it's it's yeah I think a lot of this is about expectation and you know what what can they have you know actually do with the talent that they have on this on this roster and really is Jared Goff good enough I look I don't know if they're asking Jared Goff to restructure his contract if they're saying let me a kid we overpaid you could even though a lot of people think that all of their actually saying those type of things and have a look given the the growth of this the potential growth I should say nowadays because of the you know that the upcoming maybe stoppage the growth of the salary cap year over year it's it's not that big of a deal dear das contracts is this the way it's structured I think the bigger issue for the rams BT is do they have talent

I know that they're busy no filling up the the cooler so they might not hear the phone that is that's a possibility yeah so maybe maybe trash around the maybe we just wait a few minutes and then they come out of the cooler area and they'll be more ready to write pickup term late nine hundred thirty three ninety three meantime has there ever been an education secretary that has gotten more flack than Betsy Devos. I don't know man do you people hate her and I don't know why but they're always trying some way to to bash her and bid little her on Thursday and CNN wind about the fact that Betsy Devos would be visiting a Pennsylvania Catholic school. The described that subscribes bribes to an anti trans students policy goes yeah. They're anti exclusionary isn't that weird because they say come to our school unless you're trans. That's the model then you should burn in hell. That's their motto but you're going to be burning in a lake of fire and brimstone. That's continually burning but is never consumed that means you burn for all eternity little wordy on that for I'm I'm sorry it's that's their motto. Who Am I to tell them to change it? You would think that was their motto you would think what constitutes what constitutes suits for real an anti trans student policy for CNN the fact that Harrisburg Catholic Elementary School in Harrisburg Pennsylvania obeys the diocese of Harrisburg Berg student policy on gender identity questions. Here's what it states. Oh No GONNA burn in the fires of hell for out knowing paste tomato taste. It does not state that this policy addresses the circumstances where there is a clear biological determination of a person sex X and subsequent efforts to chemically or surgically alter the given biology this is understood in Catholic moral terms as has self mutilation and therefore immoral to attempt to make accommodations for such person persons would be to cooperate in the immoral action and imposing unacceptable burden written on others in the school community so loosely translated as they're going by Catholic doctrine go at their school. How now it's a private have at school dare and it's a religious school of one believe what they believe right now and isn't that the issue and then on top of that anymore betsy devos shows up up there and just simply? She's she's basically endorsed. It basically is yes yes but just driving does he or she just made it. US West policy by going to that school by the way. I know how we'RE GOING TO GET JEFF into that shirt. Sean Spicer is going to auction off his dancing with the stars shirt for charity so Paul Jeff Right there you go. I'm guessing I've I've seen Sean Spicer and I've seen this hernia yeah yeah yeah and I guess we're together. Oh shirts a little small so this is so anybody bidding. Oh no no but supposedly one-size-fits-all believable right up into the point where you said you guys work out regular of it just doesn't have the flow of dancer. No He's not good. He's not good but that's not the point. They just wanted him on the show. 'cause it's all talk. It's created. I know they've gotten their money's worth. They have and they love to do that. So so the policy at this school ads win parents enroll a child in a Catholic school in the diocese they agree that they will not publicly act in opposition to Catholic teaching notification of students determination to undergo a sex change procedure or that a student has undergone the procedure would violate that agreement the student would be ineligible to attend or remain in attendance in a Catholic afflicts school so you know. CNN obviously translates that too. They hate transpeople right but look at that journalism boy. They did some digging there to look up the school policy policy. They can't be bothered to get the facts straight on something really deep important job with that's where we are and we realized that every single day multiple times every single day I mean when Melissa it will only end when we just simply all cave in and say okay I'm. I'm gay and I'm Trans Not only do I not only do I reject everything I used to be but I holy embrace and become what you are so then. Will we be happy then no because then you're oppose or you're not genuine. You're not you're not sincere. What if I am what I genuinely genuinely get rid of? My wife is same sex relationship with somebody else. Then it changed my my Mike Gender to female actually have the surgery but then if I'm then married to a man is that made me heterosexual and then broken my own all all managed to darn confusing and by then it will be a fad anymore. He'll be behind the times times after all. This is not a fat. Oh I'm sorry I mean it's a sincere yes got it. Yeah noted wow that was close. I just love costumes lava lava lame. Excuse you like costumes. That's supposed to be the what placates okay then never mind. Everybody just likes costumes nevermind was Donald Trump and they had something of him when he was fifty or forty or thirty or twelve dressing in black face. Oh my gosh or two yes wouldn't matter yes. That's right. I mean look we've got. We've got Trudeau. We've got the governor of Virginia that has proved positive survived this too. Why Del L. Has Democrats still still on the job? Yeah we had drop that whole thing. It seems like I haven't heard about that but but Meghan Kelly asked a question what still my gosh question. It's amazing. What a great point? Where did you hear that because I know that didn't come from? You must rush say that yesterday. I pod cast chewing the fat that's great stuff S. great cause yes she just she just question discuss it. God horrible the most horrific thing in the entire world they have a nice day and then here we dr with the Governor of Virginia and then there was the scandal with the Lieutenant Governor and the Attorney General officials yeah all democrats and they're all finding over but then you have Justin Trudeau a leader of I'm Minnesota Trinita and he's probably going to be fine as well. I mean you know is reelected. We'll see but that elections next month anyway. Let's let's see this first thing of him. In black face you can have a look. It's pretty grainy. We wanted to be very sure that this was in fact the liberal leader before we made the video they did confirm to us last night that we are looking at Justin Trudeau so in this video you can see he has black face makeup face connection between the terrorism his jeans there that he also appears appears to have the makeup down his legs as well this is you mentioned is the third major within about twelve hours that come out initially broken by Time magazine I can tell you the global news obtained this video and has been trying to verify it for a couple of days. We approached the liberal war room with it last night after that news broke from Time magazine to ask if if this was in fact him obviously such stunning video that we we wanted to be absolutely sure but they do say yes this Justin Trudeau in the video. Don't you got to wonder why did they admit to that. FESS UP. That's interesting. Is there a number of people call and ask about that. It's Ivan. There couldn't have just said yeah we no no. There's no way to tell more because they got scooped on another pitch yeah now. They're like wait a minute. We were first. Yes you made the point that we had a couple of days as before Time magazine and to be fair they didn't know if it was Justin Trudeau or maybe Rachel Dole had a brother yeah but no they went to his party. They went to the Liberal Party and and said Hey. Is that Justin Trudeau Yeah Yeah. That's like going to the Democrats saying hey is that John Biden in black face yeah that's him that would never happen knowing never happen here no way they throw them right under the bus yeah that's him all right. Well okay good with an election action one month from tomorrow right if fascinating and see their ears wearing like a afro wig or whatever and then all their photo of so that's even more horrific visit abroad face. Oh my gosh boy and a turban or whatever that that was Arabian nights thing that's cultural appropriation appropriate. That's not okay today's world was he a singer or I don't know what was he trying to do. They're always that where he was doing Harry Harry Bill Belafonte. Oh that might have been Belafonte time well then because this little Lionel Richie but whatever but that's I mean. Was it okay then I guess it was I guess people crazy. That's why Ted Danson did it yeah. He went to a party but it was just starting to get ugly then because they were pissed at him. Yeah they're really survived it but they were upset. Whoopi stood up for what she said she was the one said do it and that was a pretty long time ago yeah twenty years a long time ago twenty twenty five years ago but now it's like well? It's it's akin to genocide now so he was trying to be Harry Belafonte. He's singing. The Banana Boat Song plays at a stadium I want to I want to leave power so bad. It's good because they don't play it at every stadium. Just play it at almost every state yeah yeah yeah. I don't know if I've run into the exception where irritating triple eight nine hundred thirty three ninety three also tomorrow's the big day for the rushing area fifty one thing today today is what's Today today's the day there are already showing up a lot of people well. Let's matter smattering so far but I mean people are starting to show up already easy to take them out with gunners is and listen. Everybody's backed off saying don't come don't do it. Don't do it but there are people are still showing up so we'll see if anyone actually tries to to attempt missing time Jeffey that there's opposed to begin aware of the afternoon sun rises at six thirty Pacific time out there so we'll see yeah there but they were showing pictures of the show up last night well here's the thing their forces between Iraq and Art Sharar because they cannot let them rush the facility you can't you can't allow them to do this on the other hand. You can't can't mowed down Americans. So what do you do. I guess they've got that vomit machine. It could make them BARF. I don't think that we actually have that. I think we do have the BARF machine that we've ever admitted that we have some kind of noise technology. They gotta do something without killing. There's gotta be levels right there. There are bare barriers. You know like if you pass this barrier. Were we're going to a water cannon right past. This barrier bessis barrier are from the shooter dead e e Yeah at some point you would have to wouldn't you. I don't know how many knows it's illegal. Everybody knows it's dangerous. Everybody has been told don't do this. Don't do this Asinine. It's a military installation in a top secret one at that. They're not GonNa let you do this or I'm going anyway. I'm going to be fun John Okay Okay. You're bleeding on the ground. I wonder if you'll think so then I know I know stupid. I'm GonNa blow up your pants you have before we're not just we're. We're not just saying it because we want you to race to the really is true. There's like I don't know a few out of thousands of cabins. There's maybe twenty left. Maybe not even that what at this point I mean I think today is the last day it sounds amazing but it doesn't surprise me yeah. It's incredible because three thousand people signed up for this. I think it's a first so we'll be going to Italy and Greece and Israel and Croatia and I mean there's all kinds of things to do on the boat and there's gourmet food. That's what you're going to be learning from me where the gourmet food is shuffleboard. Follow me a legia there. He'll play shuffleboard. No that's too strenuous okay a little too strenuous. I could pull something I don't want to but we would love to see on this. Cruise is going to be a lot of fun. It's an all inclusive trip to which I love you. Don't don't have to worry about tips and all that visit come sail away dot com get all the details and find out what package is right for you. Come sail away dot com. You had gray in forty five minutes away from more on Trivia. Today are third third of the season already doing pretty cool off to a really good storrow. Yep Nobody in the NFL is any better than to now. We're tied for the lead in the national football. League Elizabeth Warren for some reason just keeps rising in the polls fascinating. I did you see the photo drudge had it yesterday. He had a photo of one ever appearances. I mean there were tens of thousands of WHO's doing this. I don't understand why what what is the draw hired hired. No I really thought she was completely done. After the Pocahontas thing don't you didn't use one one thousand twenty forth a native American. Get outta here right with as a huge mistake releasing it. Why would you do that and then she kept talking about it got to the point where she went the two American Indians or native Mary and apologized to them and there really was at that point where she started going back up? That's all we wanted to we just want apology from you so her support just keeps growing a new poll from NBC News And Wall Street Journal Found Warren in second place among black voters thirteen thirteen percent support her best showing there and overall. She is right behind Joe Biden Biden's at twenty five percent no Biden's at thirty one percent. She's at twenty five. Oh so she's only six points behind him. Remember the time when he was ahead by twenty thirty points almost those days is are gone for now anyway so we'll see if she can maintain the support but I just don't understand it. I mean claims I have an answer for everything she does and when you watch the debates and hardly anyone who's watching him. We're watching them because we have to but you know Bernie comes off as just this angry shouting old man which is terrible to do is but you know. It's no surprise that she's in front of him. No it's not what is surprising is that she's so close to write that blows me away. Meanwhile on the other end of the spectrum Beto Aurora who's making such a strong stand against guns. TC right there right there with with Elizabeth Tad. I mean just inches aligned her always always who's not one percent so at this point higher beto or Marianne Williamson. "One against against Carolina rams offense four point six yards of pass lacked zero pop like had nothing there right to explosive passes by golf in the first half against the Saints Goff was successful in twenty eight percent of his passes. It wasn't until the second half right when like golf new brees was out of the game in saints offense couldn't really hurt them so if he made a mistake. It wasn't a big deal. One Stat pressure was lifted from golf start chucking the ball over and you know efficiently and freely. It was pretty good. He's not my cup of tea at this point and we've talked about the rams. I think every week so far right. We've talked about them week. Like one end to this is probably. GonNa sound pretty repetitive right but it's just so important factor in golf. Just isn't good ones pressured is completion percentages thirty seven percent when he's pressured sure and you know there was massive loss this off season with the interior line and so you didn't resign John Sullivan you're center or Roger Sappho Djurgarden Guard and again. It's extremely small sample size but Goffman pressured on forty. Three percents drop back so far this season last year. That number was twenty five percent Austin Blythe. The Right Guard hasn't practice yet this week. God forbid if he's out you now have three key cogs in the middle of this offensive line that are removed move from last season's super bowl run and you look at what the browns do very well and that's get after the quarterback thirty six pressures into games. Garrett in Vernon have have been awesome. They're responsible for fifty percent of those pressures. We talked about this just on Monday night right. Steve wilks loves descend HEAT RIGHT DIALS AL's up blitz all the time fifty one percent of the time on two thousand seventeen when he was with the panthers forty six percent of the time in two thousand eighteen when he was with the cardinals expect some heat especially especially if Austin bluffs out this'll be the first time if Austin boy is out that since Sean mcvay took over he doesn't have one of his starters on the offensive line so if that's being the case the browns have enough defensively to slow down the rams ground game and make them one dimensional forcing jared goff to beat him on the road. I don't mind the browns defense on the interior. I really don't I know Love Bell. Kinda got going. Most of it was was catching balls out of the backfield. Obviously the one thing about this rams offense that a lot of people don't understand is like you know you think Sean mcvayn throat all over the park. A lot of it was is predicated needed on being able to establish the ground game I and whether that's girly or brown or you know who knows maybe Henderson. They did draft him in the third round. We'll see if that eventually intially materializes right when you look at Cleveland so far they've been just kind of middle of the pack in success rate stopping the run. I believe fifty percent of runs of great successful zestful against them so that is an area that they need to improve upon and I think that's how you choke out any rams game plan I if you can force gough to throw without the threat of run and get Brush Rodham. You see what happens right you get you get a super bowl performance and that's the goal choke out the ground game. Make golf a passer and get after them in. That's the equation to beating the La Rams other side of the ball. We know the Cleveland has some concerns of their own on the offensive line and it's not exactly a place place where you WanNa have question marks going up against Aaron. Donald knowing the one man wrecking crew he can be you look at this. Brown offense eleven past place so far this season up up twenty plus yards only Kansas City in Baltimore have bruce more of those explosive plays we saw the highlight reel running catcher modell Beckham where he wasn't defended by a single jet anywhere where in the ZIP code this ram secondary has been good. We know when they're healthy that they can shut you down and kind of really clamped down in that regard they've only allowed an NFL alot one reception longer than twenty yards and opponents are managing just five point five two yards per reception there in the League. How do you see the browns offensively matching up with what with the Rams WanNA scheme on the defensive side more importantly. Have you recovered from that catch and run. I have not recovered from that catch and run I received. The tax master has it. You'RE GONNA start out to know in this. This I have received a text message from my opponent that was salt in the wounds and no team has now recovered vertigo from now to one with a major showdown this week against one of my TV counterparts in cousin south so it's do or die time in the fantasy football rings there you go browns. Offense needs to be better right. I mean Baker Mayfield. Just isn't doing it right now. And that's what it's come down to from what I've seen he is sailing balls all over the place and you look at his adjusted completion percentage among quarterbacks that have played in both games the season he's twenty fourth. He's gotTa be more accurate he's got to do a better job of reading defenses knowing where the ball should go right and I think if he does that the offense GonNa take off but there's a lot of changer right. I know he's still got kitchens but he has a new. OC got a few new weapons but I think the biggest thing is here. We knew this coming into the season that Cleveland was getting all the hype so they're going to have a target on their back in the schedule of passing passing defenses that that kitchens and Mayfield in Beckham and whoever else we're facing this season was going to be one of the most difficult in the NFL especially the first ten weeks and if you want to kind of paint at this picture this schedule of pass defenses the first two and a half months. Cleveland schedule is roughly thirty percent sent more difficult than the second tough schedule of pass defense faced show. I didn't expect this to be like the greatest show on turf initially really positive news. He gets Higgins back practicing this week. That's a good sign. That's the number three option. He's got a large catch radius. They seem to have a nice rapport. That's big. I think you also need to focus on getting Chubb more involved get hilliard more involved. Both those guys catching balls out of the backfield. We know what McCaffrey didn't didn't game one against the Rams you look so far rams of allowed nearly nine and a half yards per completion and three touchdowns two running backs the O. Line needs to be better you kind of mentioned that at the top they gotta start moving people around in the ground game give Baker some help Cleveland's twenty four th and adjusted line yards right now when you look at how Carolina attack the rams very successful moving it on the ground five and a half yards a carry fifty seven percent success rate five explosive runs you you can move the Rams around in the ground game and so I think you know with talked about this a few times. The loss of sue is going to hurt a little bit. Donald obviously returned in the game on Sunday but not one hundred percent in this one. You mentioned the Ram Secondary. They've allowed one explosive pass all season on seventy eight attempts. I think there's probably a little I don't WanNa. Call it phony. Certainly the secondary is is good when healthy uh and they've got some veteran guys back there now but you play Teddy Bridgewater oof not very good and in camera so far right and you look look at how those two offenses are built and what they do schematically and it really hasn't been about stretching the field so far so that's that's the thing here the other interesting part of this this matchup. We know how Great Aaron Donald is he was largely responsible for the rams having the best quarterback pressure rate last season at about forty percent but the browns do have a very good center in JC trader. He is put together other three great seasons right now. Grading out is the third best pass blocking center so far this season. That's the big match up on the interior and when you look collectively of late I know the Browns offensive line hasn't been great. They've been responsible for a lot of penalties. They haven't moved anyone in the ground game but they have only allowed seventeen pressure so far so that is the positive sign of treasure can handle darnold one on one. I think it's a good sign for Cleveland's offense. I know this is a game where you're going. GonNa see probably a clear division of pros vs joes different much different handicap. I would assume with the number sitting at three before we talk about potentially books being forced to go to the hook at three three and a half three and a half would certainly certainly make this game a little different. No no doubt about that so interesting game Sunday night football. We'll see exactly where the browns aren't. I think a lot of people are very curious. Yes you get that first win in the Freddie Kitchens era against the jets but clearly it comes with a major asterisk risk no one really calling the jets a super bowl contender the same way that we'll be talking about the rams and their role in the NFC four games down one to go and of course it is the Thursday night football affair one truly for the die hard with Tennessee on the road against Jacksonville third straight year. We'll see these divisional rivals matchup in primetime. It's is Jacksonville a one and a half. We'll call him a one and a half two point favorite some twos starting to populate in the market total in this game thirty nine biggest story out of Jacksonville pain. Obviously your boy Jalen Ramsey Willie stay or will he go. How much is that kind of offier distraction impact the way you wanNA handicap anything pertaining to the Jaguars on the short week listen when it comes to that side of the ball. It's been a distraction for two years now and I've. I've talked about that on the preview podcast. I'm surprised that collapsed Campbell. Oh who's a veteran in the locker room. Leader hasn't been able to keep that side of the ball quiet but listen it is what is he wants out. His agent has requested a trade but has come out and although it wasn't the greatest press conference. If you're the organization I probably wouldn't allow him to play but he said he's blind in one thing about him is he likes money so if he's on the field it's. GonNa be one hundred percent so it is what it is at this point. You know this Jacksonville single defense for two years. Now is has underachieved. They don't like the system. That's being run and they've made it pretty well known so at some some stage something's going to have to give either. You're GonNa Start Trading where your talent. You'RE GONNA find a new head coach. That's for Jacksonville's at right now. Yeah I mean this is a jags franchises now lost twelve out of its past fourteen games James Owen to for the first time under coach Marrone and you look at them. authencity clearly tides have had their numbers. The jags have amassed a grand total of forty one points over the last four meetings allowing for a shade better than ten points per game so we look at Jacksonville defensively. Hey We know where this team is. We know a little bit about that. We start saw garments you make his. NFL NFL starting debut didn't do anything exceptional didn't do anything that would be cause for concern was merely average forty five or fifty eight to start his career for four hundred media yards three touchdowns quarterback rating just shy of one hundred and twelve. He's also shown a little bit of mobility running the football for more than sixty yards. If you're the Tennessee Titans James what do you need to go out there and really make a rookie quarterback's life miserable on a short week in his home debut the same thing you did to Baker Mayfield and that's and where this game gets difficult right. I think it's a pretty tough ask for a rookie quarterback on a short week against a rebel defense. That's extremely multiple. I'll show you things that aren't what's actually going to unfold and that's what he's learned from. Bill Jack. We've kind of talked a little bit about titans defense. Maybe being a little bit overrated in that's probably because of their style which is bend but don't break but I think in a game like this on a short week against Minzhu. There's going to be a lot a lot of disguises defensively and when you look at the offensive line for Jacksonville. They've been extremely shaky. You you know men's shoe. Has I think to this point been invent right. He's been pressure on forty one percent of drawbacks and he's got a one fourteen passer rating when pressured pressured so kind of Kudos to him there at the same time we haven't seen much of a vertical threat out of this offense and we know. Dj Sharks Burner. He's been pretty good good so far but the one thing about Gardner Menchu as we know why Mike Leach loved him at Washington state right is because of his accuracy and you you know you. He's been fantastic with that too. You look quarterbacks that have played in two games so far this season men's you as an adjusting completion percentage of eighty six percent only Dak Prescott. It has a better eighty J..

"Coal to win against Tennessee and it was a common story against the chargers. You never talk about kickers on this podcast but if you're are you pulling your hair out with Adam venit terry given its early season struggles Algal. It's been tough so far and I thought everyone assumed he was going to retire but that wasn't the case. He says he's back. The practice is field getting the demons out. He said that's where we sent this week so he certainly cost him games. There's there's no question about that. We'll have to see when they get into those situations nations whether it's early in the game for chip shot field goes or late in the game for pivotal extra points if they can rely on their specialty when we look at the Atlanta Falcons this is a team that's had the second highest no huddle rate in the League league so far this season big questions when we look at the Atlanta offense matched up against a defense and I think that's probably the best place to start first things first paint Darius Leonard do we you think we're going to see him out there. Anchoring Colts Defense when in a concussion protocol and more importantly do the colts have the athletic secondary. They're going to need to slow down the likes of Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley who doesn't appear to have any missteps as far as a sophomore slumps concerned. We'll we'll know more dairies. Leonard and I don't think it's a thing of having information at at this point right. It's it's the concussion protocol you have to follow it and that usually takes through Friday so we'll see if he passes those tests. He's obviously a key cod and it'd be a big missing piece if he's not out there you mentioned the Falcons no-huddle rate. It doesn't seem to be working right now. Atlanta doesn't seem totally in sync and I think the majority of that is is under cutter and Matt Ryan a little bit as well. There's a complete lack of ground game and I get that you played the Vikings defense at their place and the Eagles defense that we thought would be drastically soclean prove this season although the injury bug seems to hit Philly once again but they're just not getting any help from the ground game. Matt Ryan hasn't been good enough either. Just just making ridiculous mistakes that veteran quarterback shouldn't make his interception rate four and a half times more than it was last season you look at the Falcons overall rushing success rate five percent below league average below average explosive runs. Maybe that changes this week. I think think that's kind of the matchup focus on obviously Atlanta has great receivers stature goal limiting those guys before the game right. Ah but you need help from the ground game you look at the colts through two data points. They've been pushed around a little bit in the trenches thirtieth and adjusted line yards and it's it's two thousand and one thousand nine hundred. I'm not suggesting Atlanta goes out and runs at fifty times here but I think you know how the colts defense was constructed. It was built around Andrew Lock Right frank right in the offense kind of being really potent and getting out to Leeds so defensively like Chris Ballard built that Defense on speed. You know you go out. Get Justin Houston to get after the quarterback assumed because you're GONNA be leading in a lot of games in opposing offenses would be forced to throw in in known passing situations and so I think the point is when you look through the early sample in addition to the colts again being thirtieth and adjusted line yards twenty fourth in rushing success rate defense and they've also allowed twenty percent of run plays against them degrade as explosive. The goal should probably be to establish the ground game here a little bit. You know now to me. It's no surprise when you look at how they're built where the colts defense has been really good so far and that's getting to the quarterback thirty four pressures nineteen hurries into games in these third adjusted sack rate where Matt Ryan has struggled through two games right as he's under pressure complain fifty two percent of his passes with thirty nine passer rating four of those and they're pretty ridiculous. Ridiculous interceptions were when he was having pressure in his face so again to me. It's it's doesn't get their ground game going. The matchup Kinda dictates that they try that Devante Freeman needs to step up. I hope he's still can. I'm not sure if you've got old all too fast or what happened but you know Devante. Freeman is Ben a ghost seven percent below league average in rushing success rate so whoever it is devante Freeman Ito Smith Smith has to be complementary. Matt Ryan in the passing attack folks are out in full force wanting to see a more concerted effort Dirk Koetter to get the ball the Ito. We'll see if this is a weak acre. That worm starts determine as you mentioned. Maybe devante Freeman still working himself back up to game speed or you'd like to hope he's got a little bit more left in the tank. When you talk about Ground Games though clearly that's how Indianapolis has chosen to go about their business season without Andrew Lock three hundred seventy yards on the ground or two games compared to less than three hundred yards passing and when you look at the Falcons so far paying again only two data points they rank near the bottom of the league and big run plays allowed while the culture tied for second big rump plays of twenty plus yards and tied for first I in forty plus yards. Marlin MAC has been the guy but we saw Jordan Wilkins Phil and he had a fifty five yard run in the fourth quarter that was Kinda backbreaking for the Tennessee Titans will the Colt continue to find sustained success running the football behind that very talented offensive line. I think if Marlin MAC is in the game right. There's question marks concerning his is his injuries this week so something to monitor their. I liked the colts offense probably more than most right and I kind of wanted to start here in obviously like Jacoby percent is Andrew Lock right we we expected this certain level of decline in offense of expectation for Indie and in you know how you gauge the steepness of that declines likely how you bet into the first two games and so far I think sharp guys are had there and to and elegance spread because no one really believed there was the six point downgrade from lock two percent and when you look at something as basic guys points per game. I think there's a lot of noise and Indie only averaging twenty one and a half twenty two points right. You mentioned Videri at the top. He's missed two field goals. He's missed three extra points points. Eric Ibran dropped an absolute dime of touchdown in the chargers game so there's easily like another sixteen points there. I think Jacoby says more than capable right and you you really really try to lay this out on what he is and you paint it this way and suddenly I think people start to wake up because he is more than capable right with a team that was worse around and him a worse coaching staff around him a significantly worse align protecting him all while learning this brand new system because he was traded needed to India unlike September second in two thousand seventeen despite all those factors percent lead the colts to nine fourth quarter -letes so this isn't like some uh-huh stiff back there right and you look at Indianapolis hasn't whole their thirteenth an offense of efficiency right now. I think that's that's a good place to be. The offensive line is moving people in the trenches fifty seven percent of the colts sixty seven rush attempts of grated successful to eight percent above league average without question though the colts offense is missing that explosiveness that element to the offense part of it though is Frank Reich system right it is built and has been built on more down down success and efficiency than it is like bombing the ball down the field. You know part of it though is on Jacoby percent right I is. It's kind of you know when you look at the neck on him. It's he's a little slow to process. Things right needs to read it then see it before he throws it. You know there's not a lot of throwing throwing with anticipation which is what leads to these explosive plays in so that's probably the knock on percent right dead last in the NFL averaging five point one yards per pass yes so he's got to be a little bit better with that and again back to the offense. It's like you know we have to monitor Marlin Mac. He has been fantastic has in practice yet this week. He is the colts Belco in. That's really how you're going to want to attack the Falcons defense as well. They're not very good nineteenth and rushing efficiency. I I am still intrigued to see what this vulcans defense looks like when they're healthy right. Everyone's pretty much healthy. That's all we've heard all offseason. After four years of of Dan Quinn pissing down his leg this was going to be the year that they made that stride. They haven't been tested though right and I think they will in this game cousins only attempted ten passes in week one right and before I think todd man you got back from the fridge. Grab a snack and a beverage both Sean Jackson L. Sean Jeffrey route in the Sunday night game so they didn't have their host a unhealthy weapons. That's for Damn Sheriff Tonight Yeah and then you get lucky on the drop pass on the final drive. If Nelson L. Catches that he's probably still running today on Thursday morning so I you know I want to see if the the color line kind of continues to be dominant and so not only are they doing a great job in in moving people on the ground game. The the past protection has been pretty good as well you know despite despite being like slower to pull the trigger any as far less pocket presence than Lock Doc Culture only about twenty six percent pressure eight through two games so I think the holds are going to be okay here. Obviously we have seen steam on Atlanta three on the by was was the price of one specific better partly due to the MARLIN MAC situation partly due to the dairies Leonard Situation. I don't think the final say on this game has has has made its it stands yet. We'll see where the market goes speaking the market. You have a couple of games starting to move before before our very eyes right. Now not want we're. GonNa Cover on the podcast so leave that listeners to try and uncover on their own chargers Texans late afternoon. DD now. I'm I'm come on glued. I figured we figured we'd lose you for a few seconds. chargers taxes the pivotal game in the AFC is both these teams have aspirations of winning their division and of course there's getting to the postseason you're looking at the chargers. We'll call him a three and a half point consensus favorite a lot of three minus dollar twenty out here in the desert total on the game forty seven seven and a half. I mean the taxes pretty fortunate to escape the Jaguars and one of the Uglier Games of NFL week to the chargers completely flatlined against the lions done in by too costly turnovers one from Austin and interception from Philip Rivers. Despite the fact they won the yardage battle and the yards per play by pretty pronounced amount in that contest. Ask I guess pain when I look at this game. It's going to boil down to one relatively simple and straightforward factor which team can more effectively stop the run that Texans and chargers both top three in the league and yards per carry to go wash probably determines this game. It feels like groundhog day every time we talk about the Houston Houston Texans Right. It's like this wildly talented team just led by a lacklustre head coaching staff and they do gist enough to hit by an division because like extreme lock you know last season the Texans had these schedule League this year. Luck retires folds gets injured in the first half. It's time to do something something right and not just like waste. Watson Hopkins anyways the match up on the offensive side of the ball for the Texans. You GonNa come down entrenched play you nail that there was a switch made by the Texans offensive line last week. They started their backup left tackle. Rodrick Johnson and at right tackle in place of Shell Henderson. He was serviceable. You know the two draft picks. Titus Howard hasn't been good at left guard. Max Scharping hasn't even seen the field yet at right guard. Tunsil obviously not worth the assets they gave up for him but at least there's some pieces right that you can work with. I want to see what this Oh line looks like moving forward with all these new parts once you can kind of mold them together through two games this season the pass protection is the same old story to. Shawn on Watson's been pressure on fifty one percent of drawbacks. There has been a lot of improvement in the run game. The blocking been pretty good. I'm not totally buying into it just yet got but it's worth mentioning that Houston's fourth and adjusted line yards second rushing success rate it is a two game sample size and then you look at who they played right like the saints were without rankings and David Anya Mata in the Middle Jacksonville's defense just kind of continues to underachieve a little bit and they've had some issues even when they were good stopping the run but if the Shawn Watson has time. I think you should be able to make some place. The chargers secondary is without a starting safety in Adrian Phillips. I think there's real opportunity unity for the Texans offense. You just look general chargers right now. Thirty first in rushing success rate allowed twenty four th in passing success rate allowed..

colts chargers Atlanta Matt Ryan Falcons Andrew Lock Marlin MAC Darius Leonard Atlanta Falcons Devante Freeman Jacoby Indianapolis NFL Tennessee Julio Jones Adam venit Frank Reich League league Justin Houston Devante

"It's competing cutthroat if you're not doing well because there's always more to do but when you do well the whole city on fire last year we yeah yeah yeah for sure. I mean obviously more you know more media. You know the market is a lot more bigger but it comes with the sport yeah yeah. I think that was the biggest thing that was <hes> so i got well that i got here two years ago and i wanted to say i'll try this all you training camp charles and then i went to the first or the third game of season that year come from d._m._v. yeah so we so y'all y'all loss. You did have a nasty as again. I think you ended up losing my like three and i remember like looking i. I'm just looking around the first of all the coliseum so it's not like there. There's no like sweet ceases. No <hes> like it's. It's a college for the fans. It's not a really cool and by not. I won't say cool but it's not like you know an n._f._l. Environment mainly how a lot of other n._f._l. Teams have so. I remember looking around. It's kind of like there's not that many people here but a lot of rest holiday and then so seen from saudi. I like with my my own either then. There's not that many people here two years ago then now. It's like i was you were under bo you had an amazing year but it's like just to see the difference that that one or two years make from dang i. I thought there'd be more people here too. Dang this is like their super bowl contenders <hes> they they got all pros on both sides of the ball and it was just a totally different field just from being here this phone and i'm not even a crazy. Obviously i'm not got a crazy ryan's fan. I i you know i like you and i mean that's a really bad guy. I always hope you do good but just you know just being gene regular dude in l._a. Seeded the transformation from you. What two years were to now has been you know crazy. As i put a city's. He's been really good. You know with the dodgers doing very well. <hes> the last real mega to war series you gotta make it to <hes> super bowl so as i can tell so you know the city's going up enough so the big kindest sign this dow really cool. I wasn't just how the transformation was last guy. Make me like appreciate you know. Delete in winning a little bit more because like i said when i first got into leaves like i mean that was the most i ever lost in my life. You know i mean losing. Its may seven and nine. I never lost nine games. I mean from that that point from college and high school like i probably lost games total russell wisconsin's tough to deal with that yeah 'cause like i tell yeah people don't really matter how much money you know how great your own but like when your team not winning this. It's it's tough. It's tough you you gotta. Try to know how to balance that. You know which personal life at home and then you know literally carry that you know i guess you you can you can talk about it. Could i mean not the lakers. Last part of it was just we weren't first year. You know we were a little younger than last year we had injury resource like weren't doing well so we had lose records and you know sometimes like football different might be wanted to in a row but for us if we lost discover games in a row like like the vibe is just an damn football wailers games. Every game means way more so a whole week. Yeah we get back on the field and kind of get it back so it's always hard when you're losing because i that affects everything affects you. You know obviously you're the business. Side effects home life because it's frustrating. You can't do anything without them. Pointing back to it as to like that's flight like say oh that's why they lose because my with i got here the year we'll move from saint louis to l._a. We started out three and one and then we only only one like one more game so we like our mail pretty good estate. You know slightly loss loss loss loss and what happened you no. It was crazy. When did wanna mcvay takeover two years ago. This is years crazy. Oh yeah he's he's smart. Look smart man video. He do his thing. I mean he got the memory of elephant memory marie. I mean you remember everything we'll be. You know he'll just pull up clip. Where say something like you remember. This is the third minute of the fourth quarter of game name like like all the time like dude like we know what you did like a year year and a half i certain day we had a team meeting <hes> this is this past minicam like you know like a week ago and he does you know <hes> just goes over. We're like the whole season. I mean you know if it's like a magnificent play or of his guys that you know had their first act like he was calling all that stuff. I just like leave. Them gang went all the way up to you know the super bowl like i mean the players coaches. He's a good coach. I'm i'm always coming up with new ideas <hes> so you get excited like every week you come in on wednesday. You know tuesday's out day off wednesday. We put we star game planning. I mean i get a smile on because it's like oh yeah. It's gonna be a good week. Amazing genius. He really is a genus. I i noticed i think once involved you started to get more involved from the receiving end of the ball so talk about a little bit how how not just like the team but how your game kind of evolved from playing within data story to the rookies <hes> and i said somebody to like a week or two ago and i was just like when i first came into the lead i was a you know i grew up looking at the he knows jamaal charles and <hes> you know adrian peterson but i was more of like that you know i wanted to be like they're more europeans back <music> over but at first i'm like i'm not catching ball running. No rows like i'm not doing marimba but then you know like i said seeing other guys games. Labianca is david johnson's dukes <hes> devante freeman. I need you know in order to be the best you got to do the best doing and i had <hes> you know elevate my game and i mean you know thanks to coach mcveigh for like putting putting us in this position. I mean you know certain routes was like he didn't matter over the receiver tight end running back like whoever garon at route wherever you feel comfortable with it. He's gonna put you in that position so and then. I also learned that hey august say my body. Why would i wanna go up against eleven guys. When i get you know have a one on one one guy. I wanted to like a cornerback the exact your your you know <hes> majority of the time like i'm a windows one on one now. That's all footballers about it. This is a man crossing you more times than he did and once i've seen that and started getting involved in the passing game i just where like i was like damn this easy. I can keep doing this yeah <hes>. I was actually told him pull up all his staff this year college. Obviously you know you were. I talk is a very modest very humble but it's like this year. It was absurd just from a touch grabs twenty what twenty one this year and twenty last year like this nineteen. The what was it you or what <hes> <hes> offered the player of the year two years and just like i mean i was the context going into my fastest at the my third congrats yeah i was so happy about it is is it and because obviously you know it's amazing for me is just so different i mean i always think i always say say two guys i think n._f._l. Players get paid the most host one of the most like n._b._a. N._b._a. Big like. I think everyone on sunday to sunday monday monday night. We bring in bringing day of the week so one. You're bringing bringing the most revenue so that's that has to trickle down one in to like y'all. Y'all put your buys online like even guys i want. I don't wanna say life on the line but to the guy and now all of the you know more test about whether c._t. Is you now but i i always said that like there's going to be any <hes>. Sport gets paid. There has to be about this because y'all bring in the most. Y'all y'all risk the most like for for us. It's like yeah we have. You know so crazy injuries but like it ain't going to be like no no could cause mental. That's what it was like. Twenty twenty years down ted hebrew tedy bruschi no not the only way they can test for when you when you we say <hes> when <hes> tom. I think that was how you once you sign it and you would this kind of like. It's definitely <hes> a relief. <hes> i feel like for me. You know different definitely different chapters. <hes> like i said getting drafted. It was one of those like chapters in my life where it was like okay. I accomplished this. You know i went to college are let me make it through college. Either graduate or be a professional and i'm like all right you get drafted. The united goes lower now need to prove that belong in this lead and then it's like i get the contract. Extension so's life now. I don't really you know that's that's like a security blanket and it's just a relief. You know my show to something. I don't i really wasn't thinking about because i was like. If when it happens it's going to happen but now the happiness bands like expanded myself. Even more is down. It's about making sure my family. Is you know well off you know for generations and then and make sure i'm doing the right thing and you know i've been playing football my whole life so you know i work out all the time and what's on the field. You know that's gonna take care of yourself. So so is now is about me landing myself <hes> put myself in a different position and trying to <hes> you know make more yeah and it's a blessing and it's a a belief <hes> it's the organization take stands behind you because obviously the knock on running backs in the past has been. They don't have as long as they didn't have to do that at aw but they did it which is so <hes>. I think other really cool thing is like the n._f._l. <hes> really seems like a fraternity like when when i do gets his bag like we low height right like even like when we like we went out with frank clark after he got his like everyone was just like love. I feel like i don't know if the n._b._a. Is a little bit more competitive. I don't know what it is but like the the n._f._l. Everyone just seems teams. Get really excited when he gets paid because so damn hard is so hard to get light yeah to get to the especially when you see i mean all of my closer closer friends. You know that i'm still in contact with today. You know those guys that that didn't you know they made it lead. They only made it. You know china trying china camp or they were you know one or two years and and you know being being cool with with other guys because when you meet other guys like well off on that same background around you know we all went through college went through those crazy workouts you know the mattress type of stuff and you know being around each other so i just felt like when we see each other's others get paid. It's just like a man. I'm so happy for that. All notice do no but i know you know what four years ago he was suspended at georgia georgia you know he just herself and he was still able to come back and get and especially for the the benchmark so like when you get what you got it helps melvina alvin ailey and in lee guys you know talk about you know competing and stuff like that but.

"Huachen everybody to the heart podcast what's up. This is josh heart my brother matt hohmann. <hes> is with me. Thank you so much for a tune in and kind of starting his journey with us. This is gonna be fun row. We're gonna have a lot of different kind of guests on and is the first. I was really excited to be appreciate. You guys taking this ride with us. What is new you know starting something. I think we were probably both little nervous. <hes> you know you got at your profession. I have mine and i think it's always easy to kind of stick in that but <hes> you know this is a chance for us to kind of build something from the ground up and do something fun and tell stories and i think we're excited about definitely i think it was going to be really cool to have something that we can really interact with our fans and a different level yeah well. I'll say i'll say fans so don't cactus offshore tall but definitely going to kind of be in in touch with our family be more interactive with our fans kinda see what they want to hear us as well. You know who they want to have on a parka so this is an amazing journey for us us. Oh you know it's going to get into the current life of was going on in the matt helm in world right now and so world well. This is definitely. I mean it's definitely something we want to start every episode off like this for you guys so you can kind of just get a feel of josh gone through what i'm going through and just so we can kind of continue to build a relationship you guys obviously every episode is an interview which is amazing and we want you guys to hear all these stories but we also want to give you something you can expect we go over weak and we wanna start every upset it off just a little bit of conversation and really kind of set the tone i think it might even be good to to go back before like today and just kind of talk about ed heli matt how long we've known each other how both ended up here so on and so forth <hes> so the first time we met i would talk. I was my going on into when i was going into sidwell dion faith facebook yep results off as well again. That's kind of how our relationship started. I already did it like you. Because you were the ashort white kid with the floppy hair you had the flow then the jump shot to jump with a jump shot and like four years before that i still remember we were at the old run issue of maryland madness i think and you'll with these assault twenty eight <hes> and you and you call me with a mean like jordan s you gotta rebound act like you would hit me with a half spin very jordan. Esque has-been winter made a layup who i was just like you know what i hate to give them. A lifetime changed a little bit but our relationship has been. You know something crazy just with you. Oh you are one of the big advocate for me going back. After i got asked to go back <hes> and you know your family took me in and it was an amazing experience for me just to kind of kind of our my coverage zone and have another be under another families roof and obviously now we lived together for guest another month and a half until i had the new orleans but <hes> i mean we've been so to close in connected for the last six years. It's been crazy to six years yeah so since a long has it been eight years here now nine years yeah so for the for those that don't know josh kind of alluded to it but we both grew up in in <hes> maryland d._c. D._m._v. <hes> both went to said offering school super rigorous academic school in d._c. <hes> both probably would not have gotten if it weren't for basketball <hes>. I was recruited to go there freshman year. He was recruited recruiter to go their sophomore year and that's like joshua. That's when we met between freshman year sophomore year <hes> at a basketball workout. We both played on the basketball team there together. <hes> josh ended up falling into some some academic troubles obviously was coming from a school that basically i got my ass with coming from a school that like didn't necessarily kind of preparing adequately <hes> and the schools <hes> kind of wanted him to leave but obviously he made like a really positive impact on the community and everybody so <hes> everyone kind of rallied around it was like you know let josh stay. Let josh stay and he ended up moving in with with my family. <hes> for the remainder of high school became super super close brothers <hes> he calls you know my parents are parents moms and pops <hes> and then we went our separate ways for college but always always stay super close. He went to school in philly school in pittsburgh. <hes> my family ended up moving to philly early and my girlfriend was in philly. I ended up spending a lotta time. They're kinda got to experience his his career. Villanova was at a bunch of games kinda. Anna was at the entire two thousand sixteen n._c._a. Tournament run which is amazing <hes> and then we both graduated college twenty seventeen and then both coincidentally ended up in in l._a. And are now living together for a little bit longer before you go to new orleans but that's kind of our story which is which is pretty crazy that we both ended up here. <hes> i ended up here for work right after school and then he got drafted like two weeks later and it was like she just run it back together again it. Just you know everyone's life you. I just have this fall perfectly eighteen s kind of what kind of growing up with an idea that we've been <hes> friends and brothers being at sidwell promotion what my senior year in college and the fan moving up to philly from my senior year in college <hes> we now discover the crazy tai-bo seen each other in college <hes> and then you being out here who you being here. I a lot of people don't realize that they always see like math helping you with this right now. Matt got his on his own company. He's he's built from the ground of a it was just crazy that you out here and then our fortunate enough to be drafted by the lakers and kind of get out here with us a one of those things where you know everything he just felt perfect <hes> for us and you know obviously now things are changing a little bit. <hes> just in our say things are changing. You know mice is zip my area code. I guess zip code is going to change but that's the only thing that's going to change <hes> with us. We had a good run though you know. We had a helluva ron like l._a. I i was kind of saying saying the other day but l._a.'s definitely like an intimidating place to kinda just move across the country as like a twenty three year old kid so the fact that we kind of had how do each other and we're able to just kind of navigate it so funny whenever i go home. Everyone's always like oh l._a. Like must be crazy and it's like we just kinda. Hang out with the dogs and to true play for you. Play for man so let's say you you know help fi or help creating a really multifaceted coming. I just say consulting. I think it was just a easiest word kind so obviously you your partner devonish sean so congress kind of you know what. What are you guys doing certain things. You can't say you know what's up with matt helmet kind so just do your first <hes> first ever event. It was a hell of a craze excess stress on that during on up. <hes> let let us into your world. Yeah i mean without going into too much chiwetel <hes> when i first moved out here i was started off in the mail room at c._a. Which is one of the biggest agencies out here. <hes> met a ton of people learned a ton but ultimately decided it wasn't for me and i wanted a little bit of a smaller team more entrepreneurial environment <hes> when i was in college i went to carnegie mellon which is like a super nerdy tech school and a lot of my good friends who are computer science major so and in a building there that ended up not being crazy successful but we raise funding and we went through like a startup accelerator so i got really an entrepreneurship and i always knew i wanted to be my own boss and have my own business <hes> and after the left to go work for smaller boutique agency and then <hes> ended up starting my own <hes> that you alluded to call all curtains so january of two thousand eighteen with two two partners out here sean in devon <hes> and we just thought that the three of us that are really unique kind of mix of skill sets in and passions in like the sports and technology and media spaces so <hes> yeah we're. We're a marketing agency. We work with with big brands like ford <hes> the m._v._p. P._a. the m._l._b. <hes> we do you know social media digital strategy content influencers events pretty much anything they need on the marketing side we can make happen <hes> and then we also work with the host of other startups we either advise them and in some cases will will actually invest money into them. <hes> we've you and i <hes> and and also shannon devin have invested in a bunch of stuff together which <hes> we're excited to talk about on the show investing something that we're really interested in. I know you are as well <hes> and then <hes>. I'm sure i'm forgetting a couple of things but that's kind of that's kind of high level so give us a rundown description together event event. You guys just had a eighty three d._j. Milly no <hes> d._j. Phase guys for heist. The twelve year old hice ice guys <hes> in jarvis is is a bunch of guys kind of just tell us about that so for us like as a marketing agency other companies are always hiring us to do events for them which is great <hes> it pays well and we love helping other people kind of build their brands but <hes> we kind of all sat down and realize that we'd never really put our own brand forward so we were like you know. We're just going to do an event. Ah it's gonna. It's gonna be a cut and so brand event. We're going to put our own money into it. We've got a couple amazing sponsors to help cover the costs but <hes> we put a good about money into it and we just think that gaming <hes> which is something that we're gonna talk about a ton over the course of this this show and many more <hes> were were really in a gaming. You're really into gaming and we're just really into the the cultural fusion around gaming right now and gamers are no longer the fat kids and their parents basement athletes so the rappers they're the people who wear the street where people will listen to hip hop ev- everyone is really gamer and we just really wanted to kind of show that in an event so we had you know you and meyers leonard were gracious enough to come and stream fortnight for charity with all the proceeds going towards building a basketball court and underserved area <hes> kota the friend superdome new york city hip hop artist pulled up and did a set or perform a couple songs d._j. Millie we had vintage arcade games..

"The Los Angeles Rams are headed to the Super Bowl in Atlanta on Sunday for the first time since two thousand two but the team is still struggling to attract a local television audience joining us now via Skype from Los Angeles is Wall Street Journal. Reporter Joe Flint, Joe, as you note, the Rams have had an impressive run up to the big game on Sunday. But that still doesn't seem to be drumming up a TV audience locally. What were you able to find in terms of the recent ratings, and what can you tell us about some of the reasons why? Well, the Rams moved here three years ago from Saint Louis, of course, they had been in Los Angeles for many decades up until the mid nineties. Yeah. There's interest in the team and their numbers are growing, but compared to other football markets the Rams are far behind in the ratings and last two weeks ago when the Rams were playing to get into the Super Bowl, and they were playing the saints the biggest game in the franchise's. Yeah. In three decades, and it. Ended up losing in the ratings to the patriots chiefs game. And then I just thought that was very tally that the Rams don't have a long way to go to get Angelinos behind them. It's a tough market for a lot of reasons why it's really a Lakers and dodgers town versed inform os and to the Rams when they left there wasn't a lot of goodwill, and they have to win that back and three. Yeah. The cliche of Los Angeles. But there's a lot here to do instead of sitting in front of the television. So I think those are all factors here having said that the other thing as readers point out to me that oh wealth the raiders moved to Los Angeles. Instead, there'd be big crowds. And there may be something to that. They still show rate or games here. And in many ways LA is still kind of raider town after all these years jello. Can you tell us about Rams viewership? The first time they were in Los Angeles before they moved to Saint Louis and also how that compares to their viewership. Now since they've been back in. Los Angeles since twenty sixteen well, two things one the the ratings for the Rams in Saint Louis prior to moving to L A were much stronger than they are in Los Angeles right now. I I wasn't able to go back. And I'm not sure how fair comparison. It would be to how the Rams are doing now versus what they were doing in this yet in the eighties and mid-nineties, but one of the challenges were still there then the Rams play at the Los Angeles Coliseum now. And that's where they played in the in the seventies and eighties in a lot of the games were blacked out because they couldn't sell out the Coliseum, and that was why in nineteen eighty the Rams move south down to Anaheim. Which is you know, still the Los Angeles market, but it's thirty miles away from downtown Los Angeles, and there they were able to fill a much smaller stadium. But at the same time out of sight out of mine when that was sort of the first step of Los Angeles disconnecting. The Rams when they left the Coliseum in Los Angeles. Proper and moved way down into Orange County. So what do you think we can expect on Sunday during the Super Bowl and going forward thereafter? Well, the good thing is that Los Angeles is a huge market. So even though the patriots eagles bears lions pretty much now. The majority of NFL teams have a higher percentage of viewers watching their team versus what LA is doing. The Rams the fact that there's so many more people here the actual number of viewers in real people is a decent number. I mean a little complex but New England thirty five percent of the New England TV audience is watching the patriots and that on whereas ten percent of L A is but Los Angeles is so much bigger that in translation to real numbers that ten percent..
