"Working my ass off and getting nowhere. Whatever we get down there, like Marty was a rumor down there. Jesus, I guess he's in gold down there. We can't get there. Right, that is why I brought it up because I've got on some Canadian radio stations, everything and they kind of downplay and things about the trap and this and that for hockey. I'm going, have you guys ever looked at the stats? Just to let you know, and we're always top 5 in scoring goals in the national high school idea. From 95 to 2003 when we went to the cup four times and one in three, we scored goals, but yeah, we played responsible and I just think it takes away from all the we had so many high end skilled Fords that just they would sacrifice. So yes, people say, wasn't it about scoring goals and all the fancy plays, of course. They just didn't cheat the game when it wasn't there. They didn't force it. And one on three, which we steer everybody wants to highlight every rules. They just played the right way when their opportunity came. Yeah, we made plays and score, but a lot of people don't realize, I heard nobody say this and correct me if I'm wrong. When the Los Angeles kings beat the Devils in 2012 finals, by the way, they were last in the National Hockey League and gold sport. I never hear anybody talk about playing two defensive things. Yeah, Jonathan quick was outstanding. They were dead last. None of our teams were. We were always top 5. No idea. All right, that's why I brought it up. It's awesome. But honestly, I can almost guarantee nobody knows that or very few people would know that. Now, when I think of you guys as well, like, you know, I think the defense that you guys had, like, you know, the left side of your defense was slightly terrifying. You know, like, you know, I tell this story, Marty McGuinness was a rookie and our team, and we're in, we're saying like, Marty, whatever you do, he was a right shot left winger, and we're like, don't cut across the middle there, because he might get you. And if you get far enough and he's not on the identical is going to get you in the far side. And like that, you know, you got to be careful. And first shift Marty cut across and Scott happened to be standing there and that was the end of Marty's night. It was an amazing ray how, you know, Scottie Stevens talked a lot about him, and I know that hits today different. They protect the players at all costs. And I agree with that. That's the way it is. But it was applauded when we got a shoulder to the gym. That was the way the game was played back then. That was part of, but here's a guy 6 foot one, 215 pounds. And nobody saw him coming in the middle of the ice. That was the timing impeccable timing he had like a middle linebacker in football.

"Dmitri filippovich. Welcome to the hockey PDO cast. My name is Dimitri filipovich, and joining me is my good buddy Ryan Lambert Ryan, what's going on man? I'm hanging out. What's up with you? Oh, you know, same old same old just doing this daily PDO cast first time we're having you on. This season, which is very exciting. I always love when we get together and chat. So I'm looking forward to it. Here's the plan for today. We are going to bounce around the league and discuss things that or ask the question whether we should be worried about stuff, how worried we should be about it, we picked a variety of topics and so we're going to get right into it. I'm going to open the floor to you. You go first, what's the first topic you want to discuss? I think the thing that is maybe most interesting to me in the league right now is a team that I took pretty high, I think I had them like 9th in the league this year. Coming into the season. And that's not like a scientific, I don't have a model or anything like that. I just kind of eyeballed it. I feel like the remote night. And that's the Minnesota wine. Obviously, it's starting the year out on a bit of a rough stretch here. Maybe people would have said, well, they have all these all this dead money on their salary cap and that's not going to help. Certainly doesn't help. But again, they're struggling. So I guess the question is, how long can we expect them to strong? I think it's a very fair question. I mean, they're zero and three. Three regulation losses should note that while all three of those were at home as they opened the season here on a bit of a home stand, those three losses were against the New York rangers. Los Angeles kings and Colorado avalanche three teams, I think, you know, I mean, obviously all three teams made the playoffs last year. I think they're well positioned to do so again and we think pretty highly of them here in the PDO gas. So clearly like a pretty tough schedule in terms of quality of competition now, I mean the elephant in the room is they've given up 20 goals. In those three games, which is just a startling amount regardless of how much goal scoring is up around the league. This is in this is in the Minnesota wild team of the past. It hasn't been for a while.
Vilardi leads Kings to 4-3 shootout win over Predators
"The Los Angeles kings used a late surge in regulation to earn a shootout victory against the Nashville predators four to three Nashville led three one after two periods of play on the strength of goals from Cody glass Philip forsberg and Tanner janell the kings then rallied to tie it with two goals by defenseman Matt Roy in the final 7 minutes Despite a predator's power play in the extra frame a shootout was required and Gabriel villardi was the difference maker for LA potting the only goal of the shootout for either side King's net miter Cal Peterson had 29 saves in the win You know now we have the confidence that we're never out of it and we can find ways to come back and get points when games Jeremy keg over Nashville
Athanasiou scores in OT, Kings rally to beat Bruins 3-2
"The Los Angeles Kings forced overtime with just twenty six seconds remaining in regulation and then defeated the Boston Bruins in the extra session three to two the kings needed only one minute and fifty three seconds in O. T. for Andreas Ethan ASU to score the game winner after Trevor Moore tied it in the final minute of the third the Bruins started the scoring in the first the kings answered with a goal just one minute and nine seconds later but it was the Bruins who took it to one advantage until just twenty six seconds left in regulation Greg Caskey Boston

"I think it's fair Chris to call it a wild weekend of football. I mean, it was wildcard weekend in the National Football League. I made a few bucks off a couple of buddies who are Dallas Cowboys fans. They're still crying. I haven't been paid yet. That's another story. But when you look at from a gambling perspective here, this did not go the way that the bookmakers were hoping, fair. It's a long game if you're in the sports betting operator business. It's a long game. You let them win one weekend and try and grab it back on the next, but yeah, for people gambling this weekend all the favorites one and covered, except for Dallas, a lot of people were on San Francisco already in that game. So it was a good weekend if you were at all educated, even if you weren't educated and you spent all the favorites, you know, you had a pretty good a pretty good weekend. So you know it's good to have those every once in a while because as someone who bets the NFL a lot, I know it doesn't happen very often. So every now and again, you got to get one for the good guys. Yeah, the biggest problem with it was we all had to watch the games because they mostly stunk. Well, you know, it's funny. People like to rag on me a little bit when I watch red zone during the regular season as opposed to watching the game's individually. Stand-alone sometimes and we saw it this weekend if it's a stand-alone game and it's not a good one. It can be a long hard viewing experience. And some of the referees got a little more camera time than we would have liked. And yeah, you know, it's funny though with that league because no matter what the optics are, no matter what the public outcry is during the week, everyone's back next Sunday. They've really got something going on there. Well, I got two things. One, I thought Kyler Murray looked like a shortstop yesterday. And drafted in the first round by the Oakland a's. And secondly, was that crazy ending to the Dallas game and as many Dallas fans are sour at the official, the rule is, he's got to touch the ball. And it's, I mean, it's not like they hired a hundred yard dash specialist. I mean, the guy got there as fast as he could. He's chugging his way off the field. What a tough way to go down, eh? If you take 14 penalties or whatever Dallas took pre snap and then, you know, you decide to run the ball with no timeouts. That's on you. That is not on anybody else. That is completely on you. And I mean, everyone's in the excuse making business, but I had seen that the only person that even a little bit put their big boy pants on in the cowboys organization was the owner. Yeah, the coach and the quarterback all planning and I wasn't a good look for them. I'm sure frustration is at an all time high. They are the team. People like the rag on the Maple Leafs in the playoffs that the Dallas Cowboys are that in football. Your guy, Sean mcvay's through. Yeah, yeah, the only mistake about betting against him this week was the other coach was cliff Kingsbury and you know I agree with you though ray like Kyler Murray looked like the moment was too big for him. And I was a big Kyler Murray guy. I loved him at Oklahoma..

"When we were in LA, they would say, you know, Luke's group would be on the power play and they'd say, okay, here are the next guys up. We'd race not to get Luke. Because he never come off the ice. He'd always shoot the puck down the ice and they would change. And Luke would go stand on the far side from the bench. But that was the end of the day. That was the system though. Andy Murray made me cross on that cross of Lula and I was a sister. Oh, I was on the other side. I didn't know we were changing. Guys. But he didn't change. Oh, that's so good, Luke. That is funny. You're obviously you're a huge fan of the game, Luke. Always have been. You know, when you watch now, do you like the way the game is played? Like, I mean, we're seeing more offense this season. I'm not entirely sure why, but I mean, we're going back to the 80s and the 90s. Do you like how the game is called? Do you like the video reviews? Do you like all of the other stuff that we're seeing as part of it? I love the game. I mean, you watch some of those kids what they can do with the puck now. I mean, just watching the warm ups, what these kids can do in the warm ups and morning skates. Like, we never even thought of trying that. And then to see them trying to game and come in across. I mean, no matter what, like, Dead Sea was play, what he did with that. It was unbelievable. I mean, none of us would have had the guts to try it. You know, I think it's awesome for the game. I think but the way these kids, you know, it's a treat to watch. I mean, I know his team struggling, but you get to watch him or you watch McKinnon or Matthews. I mean, these players are very, very special. And it's the same for us. I watch yesterday I was watching by field and the American League. And they're special these kids. And I think it's great for the game. You know I do I want to make sure like call the game. I'm not sure I call it tighter. I want to make sure the game is called the same way in April and May, as it is in October. And then I do think if you are a good player, you should get the same space in the playoffs. And then it comes down to the system and the way the team plays. But if you're not allowed to hook or slash in the hands in October, November, you shouldn't be allowed to do it in May. Yeah. And that's probably the fairness on the way you build your team because right now you don't want to have to build two type of teens, you know, one to make the playoffs and one to win the playoffs. Last question for me, Luke, one of my favorite things as your teammate is, you know, 35 years you've been in or so in the states. Your English has finally getting better, which is, which is really, really quite so. Do you still do the Axl Rose Paradise city or is that all gone? Everyone's in a while. It's been a little while during COVID. We haven't had as many get together with people. As you know, my threshold is about two beers, so I need to get the floor. Or two glass of wine is probably my threshold. If I get to the third glass, I want it could happen, but it's pretty rare..

"With the rangers. I'm a free agent. I signed with a Neil Smith tells me all we're so excited to have number 20. Not with the islanders, but with the rangers. I'm so pumped, right? I signed two weeks later, they make a trade for Luke and old Samuelson from Pittsburgh. Neil calls me up. He's like, yeah, hey, you know that number 20? Yeah, you can't have it. Luke gets it. I'm like, what do you mean? And he goes, well, yeah, Luke always wears number 20. And I go, okay, I'll take number 26. He goes, yeah, Joey kosher, where's that one? I go, well, what number do you have? He goes, well, I think 21s open. So that's how I got number 21. I get traded to LA. It looks already taken the number once from me. So I get traded to LA and Luke gets traded back to LA. All the people are so happy. Our favorite boy, Lucas coming back. I don't say anything about the number. He doesn't say anything about the number. We're writing the bike before camp. And he goes, hey, little guy, which is of course what I thought. Little guy, what are we going to do about the number? And I'm like, nothing. And he's like, you know, so he ends up we make a trade. A week's vacation in Hawaii with the hotel for the number 20. That's the tree. Wow. I come to realize Luke knew everybody over there. That thing didn't cost him anything. That is not true. That is not true. That is not true. Nothing is free in Hawaii. Nothing is free in Hawaii. It's not that true. Now I get a hockey card now though and I see Luke. I see a card with me as number 20 in the kings and I'm like, what was I thinking? So the banner, how to just being like, just really wanting to know as a fan. You just wanted to bring that up, correct. Exactly. Work around. I had to get the twice taking my number away. It was just in my defense, so I didn't know in New York. I did not know. And my defense. Would you open willing to take a different number, Luke? I got to tell you, I got to tell you, Darren, I've never had more fun as playing with ray on his line. God, did we laugh? Him and I, we would try everything we could do to chip it out, do everything right and Alex COVID was on the other side, just floating all over the place. And both of us would get bench and COVID left would end up playing with mess the next shift. We used to we're sitting there and we'd get a power play. And mess would put his leg up on the boards and turn around to Coley Campbell, the coach and say, hey, Coley, who's up. I would just sit down and it's not us. I hope they'd go again. When we so we played together for a bit and in New York and then I get traded. We come to LA and Luca honestly. I mean, I was amazed to see how much you were loved in LA, like the people just couldn't wait to get back. Could you even imagine that? Like, you're 7th round draft pick. Tom glavin is a baseball pitcher. They drafted him in front of you. And you're this figure in LA that's been it's 35 years..

"The first two periods. Besides that, we were totally on the way then we just bought out one guy. Did you ever have 5 goals in a game? No. That was amazing, huh? So you must have had you must have had four somewhere. Yeah. Oh, and the queue, he was scoring goals. He was. And the Q with the cuny only time we saw the goalie at the beginning of each period. Hey, when did you get here? I'll see you later. So lukia, you mentioned Nelson Emerson talking about drafting for three or four years and you first you acquire all those picks because you got to rebuild. And the only way to rebuild is to stand up with, you know, with a bunch of picks. Now you draft you collect. You get skill, you get speed, you get energy. How do you know that, okay, we think we've got enough, now we've got to change and start acquiring players to take the next step. I think we looked at it, ray, like we started having a few we start sprinkling a few kids last year. And we saw the way they were performing. And then at the same time, you know, like Adrian campe is only 25 years old. We're aware of that. And some of the kids are, they're still coming up. And we felt the way we played last year, the way our team was planning. It was time to kind of turn it. And it gets to a point too. You have so many prospect. You can't play them all. So you've got to turn the page and we really felt last year that we would play it even though it wasn't the season. We wanted and so forth. And the guys started playing the system better and understanding, watching our farm team and seeing the growth of some of those kids and anticipating that some of them might take a few more months and so forth to come up. It's kind of like the way we looked at it. So you mentioned Adrian campaign who's deservedly going to the All-Star Game what a fantastic year. He's had talk a little bit about the development because he was a winger..

"Don't know how old prongs was then, but he intimidated me. Like just his presence. He was like a scowling mean player. Not in the room. He was, if you couldn't, if you couldn't deal with sarcasm, you're up the wrong tree. Right. One of the first he would never remember this. But one of my first first practices, I don't know the drill somehow I'm at the front of the line, what the hell am I doing there? And I'm supposed to pass him in the pocket and I pass it in his feet and he's like, put it on my stick. I'm 37. But he has passed the puck 50,000 times. I know what goes on your stick. And my first thought was true you. Yeah. Now I'm sure he didn't even notice or it was just part of his day, right? Like, it didn't even matter. He was so good. He was so dominant. He was so mean to play against. But he was also so good. I don't know too many players that could make a breakout path like Chris prager. Like right place, right time on the tape, giving you room to do something with it and there's one other thing I always thought about prongs. It's like he played the entire game. His entire career with a wink. Like he just, he was like, he got the absurdity of it all. He got the sarcasm of it all. He got the competitiveness of it all, and he was so good. He was like, yeah, I'm just going to do it this way. Like, who was going to change it? He was an amazing player. And of course, his Jersey belongs up in the rafters. I mean, what an amazing player. You are right, funnier. He's a funny funny guy. Yeah. Our interviews on ray and Riggs brought to you by good friends. Canadian club whisky, who are asking, are you over beer? Why not try a refreshing CC Ginger ale, a lime next.

"Now, you're going to say something that I assume won't go over super well, but I'm watching Connor McDavid at the in his interview after the game. And he looks just defeated. Like he's got the weight of the world on him. You can see it. Yeah. In my opinion, he needs to go into that press conference and perk himself up. It sucks, I get it, man. I've been on bad teams before. I've never had his pressure. I would never know it. But go there and say, yeah, games three one. You know what? I need to make a play somewhere in that third period to make it four one. Even if you don't believe it, turn it onto yourself because you can do that. Other players can say it but they can't do that. Leon dry Seidel had no energy in that game. Those guys are too valuable. There's a best players in the league. Turn it on yourself, say we can change this. Even if you don't believe it, you let everybody else relax. If you let everybody else relax a little bit, maybe they play 5 or 10% better. Because they can't relax. Right now, they realize they can read one goal in 26 games or whatever. They can they realize they're struggling. Find a way to ease their pressure. There is no more pressure for dry sidle and McDavid. They've got it all. Just go out there, perk up your energy. Bring up, bring a positivity to it. Dave tippett, behind the bench, he's got to bring a different energy. I know it's not like tips not a vocal guy, he's not a played with him and Hartford in 1985. We started together. Like, come out and have a positive, it sounds new agey, but have a positive approach to it. Like you can't change what's happened. But attack something with a little bit of energy, you'll be surprised how far it goes. Because right now, their energy is something bad's going to happen. I don't know where I don't know when, but it's going to happen. And McDavid and dry side can change that with their energy. They can help the other guys just by saying, hey, I can do this. It doesn't even have to be true, but it matters and does no doubt. Chris Palmer's Jersey number 44 lifted into the rafters in St. Louis. Watching it, and I had a smile on my face pretty much entire time, even as prongs and his family are walking out there because we know how an enormous human being a big he is, but his sons are right up there with him now if not taller. Like it is just, you know, it's like a family of giants walking out to disinterest and one of the first things he does is crack a beer and the building just erupts, right? You know this. I mean, you watched it, you battled against it. You had to deal with it. An absolute beast fierce, fierce, dirty, nasty bit of business on the ice, right? But is there more? But is there a more liked player or teammate potentially than Chris prana? Because the wave wall in the ring, he's hilarious. I played there at the last couple of months of my career. I'm 37..

"Different. It includes the respects as it should. Their heritage, the people, the majority of people that people that speak French as a first language, it respects that. Now you're going to open up this, I keep calling it a new structure, but it's going to be. About what they're going to put together. And I think it's going to be inclusive. It's going to be different. The Canadians got 7 wins. It's time for something different. No question. Different and new. What is indifferent and is getting old for oilers fans used to play this team, right? And Kenny Holland is in the U.S., pro scouting meetings there. You know, I'm probably having some tough conversations with that group. Maybe with a zone or Daryl Kate's bob Nicholson in the meantime is his hip replace, which isn't funny, but he's going through a tough time medically right now. So the oilers front office is all over the place right now. But the team just can not get on its feet. It just can not. And, you know, we in the media, not seeing you, but generally, we look at it and say, well, you know what? Their goaltending is just not good enough. And they haven't been able to rectify that situation. I don't disagree. But Kenny doesn't have a magic wand. How do you fix that? How do you affect that? He said he's not going to give away his he doesn't want to trade away his first round pick. He doesn't want to trade away top prospects. How do you acquire goal tenders that are going to make a difference? Well, you can't. Unless you do. I mean, the only way you can is free agency and all that's in the summer. And then you're getting into a cap deal and, you know, like you're you're in a tough way. But when I watch the oil, so I'm watching them the other night it's three one against audible. That game's got to be over. Yeah. And we can talk about the goaltending of Stuart skinner in that game and should he have stopped a couple probably. And Evan Bouchard looked like a 21 year old defenseman in that third period was in the he was in the video for everything. None of it positive. We had terrible period. But he's a really good prospect. So I'm watching that and I'm trying to decide what the oilers identity is. What are they? Because I look at Connor McDavid and I see con or Leon dry sidle. And I know what they are. But they're not hard to play against. And you don't have to run people out of the building, but you have to deny them ice. You have to make it hard to come through the ice to your end. The oilers don't do a good enough job of that. So if your devonshire or Ryan McLeod or Zac cassian or Brendan perlini or anybody else playing in that bottom 6, you're going to run into somebody. You got to make it hard. And if it's not going to be made hard, then they have to replace those pieces. Those pieces can be replaced much more easily than the top end of your roster..

"We've got Luke robitaille, the Los Angeles kings joining us as our guests here in episode 17. Lots of chew on and headlines ring, which we'll get to momentarily, but you know I've lived in Ontario since 1998. So I love the weather because I mean kind of similar to Vancouver, I guess minus The Rain. We get our share of rain, but not like that. But do get to experience extended seasons, right? And we're spoiled in southern Ontario, especially because you don't see a flake of snow until the new year. And we got walloped on Sunday Night. And I was joking. I was talking to a buddy, and I'm looking at my snow blower in my pimped out garage. And it pisses me off to have my snow blower in my garage because you know I've got the floor as epoxy. I've got big screen TV, I've got plot lights. I mean, it is a beautiful man cave. And I'm looking at how much does an insider make. Yeah, well, when I sold my other hosts, that was priority one. I said, look, to haul, you can do whatever you want in the house. It's a three car garage. It's going to be built the way I want it to be. It's so do you have, do you have a golf hitting bay in there yet? I don't. And I've got my Keenan's old 1985 convertible Mercedes sitting in the bay that would be a simulator. So if you get one, would you be able to take a full swing in there? Yeah, you could. Yeah. Okay, so it wouldn't be like Duffy who put a simulator in his basement and he can only hit a wedge, otherwise he keeps hitting the roof. You wouldn't be that stupid, right? No. I think I've got like a lavender 12 foot ceilings minimum in there. Anyway, I'm making fun of the snow blower on Sunday afternoon. In the weather warning is out there, right? Be prepared. Heavy snowfall warning. It's right. Yeah, yeah, sure. I grew up in the prairies, but you know what we're going to get an inch of snow big deal. We woke up morning. And it was comical the amount of snow that fell. It was like it just went. I saw Andy petrillo takes a walk and he put a dog in the snow and the poor guy just disappeared. I'm like, yeah. Oh man, how deep is that? And it's crazy because you're ready for it and you're from the prairies and you've had bad weather and all that stuff. But when it hits, oh my God, like it's like you can't even believe it, right? No, you can't. And so I'm gonna call it the good Samaritan opportunity for me and my neighbor across the street Phil. So clearly we were sort of prepared because we have snow blowers. So I mean, that's two thirds battle. I wasn't sure mine was gonna start, so I gassed it up, it started out we go. I've got a, I would say a driveway similar to yours. So it's not a small driveway. Anyway,.

If you two so desire, okay? The Stanley Cup playoffs are continuing when the Stanley Cup playoffs are over. There'll be a consummate trophy winner if Tampa wins the Cup. Guys under consideration. Brayden point has 14 goals. Nikita Kucherov has 30 points. Britain talking up Andrei Vasilevskiy in the break 1.89 goals against 9 39 State percentage. If Mr Vasilevskiy wins, by the way, he would be the sixth Goaltender to win a Con Smyth trophy since the year 2000. Who are the other five goaltenders to win a Conn Smythe trophy. Okay, Uh, just, uh, Jose Terror? No, no, no, John Sebastian's again. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I thought you were screwing around. I thought Hold on. I'm I thought M v p not counts. Mike. No, I would have gotten I was going to go to the to Montreal goal is that one M v p. This is Cary Price and Jose Theodore. I was on M V p of the regular season. Not the playoffs. It's before six a.m. that that doesn't count. It's before seven AM. Look at that. Even what time it is All right. Did you not get much sleep last night? Uh, twins keeping up. Did you do okay? Uh, Tim, Tim Thomas, Tim Thomas In 2011, the oldest player ever to win the Conn Smythe, he was 37. I believe Jonathan Quick, won the Conn Smythe, I believe you'd be correct. He won in 2012 with the Los Angeles Kings. See.

"It's been really good you'll watching the starter that florida tampa game over. Vegas was a little subdued because there were no goals it was still a great luck and plus i love everything. Vegas does to put on the show but watching those fans in florida going bananas. During that game i sat there and said i am so jealous one of the two things that made me jealous this weekend. Watching mike altieri the longtime media leader of the los angeles kings seeing that he had two holes in one during a gulf round on saturday. That made me really jealous. And then seeing all those fans at the florida tampa bay game and it stinks that for two great series like that are going to be toronto and montreal and edmonton winnipeg the we won't get that. It stinks. i'm jealous. We'll talk about that with eric.

"Canadians. I think are better position than say the blue jackets who have to take on the Bruins. Now, the Bruins. They're just playing out the string as well. And they've lost two in a row. They lost a Florida and Detroit back to back night. So is it going to can you envision Boston losing three in a row? So that could be tougher spot of the blue jackets against Boston. And then the hurricanes are in Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs may believes already clinched a playoff berth second back to back. So right now, it looks like the blue jackets might have the tougher of those three games and looking at the standings in the Eastern Conference. Here's the way it looks. Columbus says the first wildcard would ninety four points. Carolina the second ninety three Montreal as a point back, but Montreal's at a bit of a dilemma because they've got one less Rowen than Carolina four less road Wednesday in Columbus. So Montreal needs to pass Columbus. They're gonna have to do it be the points. They're not gonna wanna tie breaker against the blue jackets. So really they look at being behind by three points to Columbus instead of two because tying them is not going to help now at Carolina. They're only one back in the row wins and with three games still left. They still could pass him in Rowen. Wins. So Montreal still has a chance. Everybody else in the Eastern Conference, mathematically eliminated, Florida, Philadelphia, the Rangers and the like so that's three spots. Two teams are going to get a mantra on the outside looking in. So every game becomes a must win. So should be fun. Watching those teams go at tonight penguins. Still can get home ice. They're going to be in Detroit to take on the Red Wings the front end of a home and home for the penguins jets and wild from Minnesota can eliminate the wild jets trying to clinch the central stars and the flyers stars pretty much locked in. They could still possibly when you look at the standings in the central division. The Dallas Stars have eighty nine points to nationals ninety four. So they're not going to be moving and they have three point cushion on Colorado with three to play so Dallas trying to avoid dropping to the second wildcard. But really when you think about it from a matchup standpoint, they probably wouldn't mind dropping to the last wildcard. 'cause they match a. Better with Calgary. They seem to have the flames number so Dallas in that nebulous position. They know they're in the playoffs. But you know, do you want the first wildcard the second wildcard avalanche and the Oilers Oilers, mathematically eliminated the avalanche again only got one point in their game in hand, but very winnable game catching the orders and the second back-back, but the avalanche also playing in the second back to back will the avalanche. Go back with grew. Our who's been their best goaltender. He played last night in that loss in overtime. And shootout to the Saint Louis blues that's huge sharks and the Canucks kings in the coyotes big for the coyotes two points back winnable game looks like the kings are pretty much mailed in law seventy two last night to the flames drew doughty after the game says he wishes you could play all of the rest of the games in succession. He just looking to get this miserable season over with. So maybe the coyotes can take advantage and beat the Los Angeles Kings. But the coyotes are going to need some help to get into the postseason, but still what an incredible story the retort about the coyotes on the last Tuesday of the race. Season which just three games left. Still be mathematically alive the playoffs. Something anybody saw that coming at the beginning of the
