"From Clemson in the National Football League. Some may believe so. I'll take it. And I'm just trying to, I'm just trying to have some fun with you. Yeah, are you trying to spark something? Not at all. But it is amazing. I mean, why do you think Clemson has turned into such a terrific receiver factory in the NFL? This thing, they do a good job of recruiting. They bring in the right guys. For the system. And they bring a lot of players who can dominate on the outside. So that's the main thing. You know, we all kind of learn from each other in a week. Some of us have been there with each other so we kind of picked up from each other game and got better like that. They kind of do a good job of recruiting and developing those guys over there. So we just keep it going. Mike Williams here, the Los Angeles chargers on the rich eisen show. What have you been doing I guess to get ready for the season? Any different? Anything different in your workout regimen or anything like that? Yeah, I actually added some Pilates in my routine. Okay. So I kind of hit that two, three times a week. What do you do? That's no joke. By the way, Mike, something I bet you didn't think you and I have something in common, if anything. I've been doing Pilates for years. That's no joke, man. There's no joke in my goal is to be able to go in there and be able to do it with ease 'cause right now I'm struggling. So far. What are you struggling with? Walk me through it. What Pilates are you struggling? I don't even know which one I'm doing, but it's like when I the first day I went, I'm like, there's no way. I work out every day and I feel like this doing this, this body weight stuff. So it's like, I don't know, just me competing with myself, you know? I feel like I need to go until I feel like it's easy to meet. And right now, I'm a little weak from that. Are you on the reformer? Is that the issue, the reform or the Cadillac? Which one's which one? Whichever one that's on the floor. That's the one I want to reform on the floor. You've got four springs, right? You've got four springs and the reformer. They kept telling me to do the one white spring and it's like, I don't know if I'm about to do a split or something. But yeah, I'm getting used to it, you know, and I'm probably done like it may be four or 5 classes so far. Every day, I've been better. So yeah, hopefully. Okay. Let's be honest, though, when you heard everything would be good. Right, when they bring up Pilates, you think, that's nothing, right? I got it, because it's just for show, when I first thought about it, I'm like, I Pilates. Please, right? You think you can get there? Yeah. I mean, I work out every day, run every day in good shape. So it's going to be a cakewalk with the first day I went. Yeah, it was crazy. You know why it's called Pilates? Mike? It was created by a guy named Joe Pilates, believe it or not. I'm not making that up. That's why Joe's last name should have been ass kicking. That's what it should be. Give you a better heads up, you know? Pilates. You know what I mean? Oh, I got Pilates like no problem and you go there and it kicks your ass. Big time. Okay. All right, so but it does your core. I mean, it changes your posture, your core, the whole thing, the whole body. It's no joke. Right. I have some back issues early on in my career. So help the core was one of the main things I worked on to get my back feeling good. Yes. You know, I always work on my core, but when I was reading them on Pilates, it was like, yeah, it's a lot of extreme record work. So that's why I really got into it also. Okay. So when we see you, when we see you with 15 touchdowns this year, 1500 yards receiving, it'll be must be the Pilates. Forget pervert, screw him. It's the Pilates. That's what I'll say, right? I can do that pretty much. It is true. It's no joke. All right, man. What are you doing Memorial Day weekend? You got any plans? What do you got? What are you talking about? I'm not inviting anything. I know that sounded weird, but I'm just wondering what I thought I was gonna make like an appearance on the show with some. But Mike, Mike, okay. This isn't any time proposition. We're practically neighbors. And we were practically neighbors. Yeah, I mean, I'm up here by LAX. Where are you? Oh, yeah. I mean, I'm a little weezy. I met her. I'm the Orange County. I can send your car. I'm sending you a car. Let's do it. Seriously, you just bought yourself an appearance on this program. I'm just chilling really, I'm gonna go out on a boat tomorrow. Watch the Davis and Rollie fight tomorrow night. Okay. Okay. Very good. And what TV shows do you watch? What are you catching up on? What are you doing? Right now, I'm not watching any TV shows right now. I need to. Somebody told me to watch a TV show call elite or something like that, actually. Okay, elite. I don't know. Yeah, I haven't even looked it up and see what it was about anything. Yellowstone, Mike. Right here on peacock. Right here, you got to be very good. Okay,.

"Everything that you need that you may miss over the next three hours of this program. Pro football Hall of Famer Anthony munoz will be on this program always great to catch up with one of the sweethearts of this business who you just didn't want to tangle with on a field though, nothing the sweetheart is about him when he was protecting Kenny Anderson and boomer size and in those Valhalla, Bengals years with collinsworth on the team. Back in the 80s, he will be joining us here on this program. It'll be a great chat with him. Mike tirico will join us last time I saw Mike. He was standing on a stage holding my Emmy Award in his hand. But nonetheless, he'll be joining us here in the middle of this program from Indianapolis as our Friends at NBC and peacock NBC sports and peacock, the Indianapolis 500 will be going down this weekend. Mike Williams will join us from the Los Angeles chargers an hour number three. Good to see you over there, Christopher brockman. How are you? Rich, we got to close out game tonight. In Boston, Boston. Let's go. Something that was said last decade as well or two decades ago and it didn't work out with the Miami Heat coming in, but LeBron James is not walking through that door tonight. Jimmy Butler needs to channel his inner LeBron and get that series back to Miami for a game 7 J felly good to see you. Your spot. Until two full ever returning to the show, do we know or what? No. Okay, great. Good to see you over there. TJ Jefferson, lighten the candle. How are you? Which is mighty big of you to have Mike tirico on because quite frankly I'm not going to ask Kyle or Peter schrager to come on anytime soon. Until the hurt goes way. And I go way back very long time ago. Late 80s I was doing sports centers with him. And then, and then late 90s. Late 90s. Late 90s. By the way, that would have been a dream come true. I think for both of us. Pizza senti in the mail. Him and Syracuse at the newhouse school and me eventually at the University of Michigan. Long story short is late 90s. We did shows together and then Susie was the sideline reporter for when toriko is doing college football games for ESPN and ESPN on ABC if you remember back in that day. Tim Brant, Tim brand, was in the booth with tirico and Suzy was on the sideline. So Mike torika, I have nothing but love for the man. I am just saying you're a better man than me. His fingerprints are on Miami award, though. That's what's going on. And he's going into the Sunday Night football booth. So that gives me a better shot at winning it next year. Let's do this. Because it's no Olympic year for him and maybe you'll just go in the booth, stop hosting things excellently and leave it to us. I mean, you should do that. Although he is, in fact, hosting the Indianapolis 500, it is let me get this number right. I just got to keep putting my glasses on I am getting older. The 106th running of the Indianapolis 500. I'll coverage begins 11 in the morning. On NBC. It's a 500 mile situation. So a 106. I think it's 200. I think. Don't make me do math. I mean, what are you doing? I mean, none of us can count on this show. How many more times do I do it? Let's just start with what I really want to say. And I'm so gray being right. It really is so great. It's great being right. I mean, I could sit here and talk about Klay Thompson's renaissance coming back from that. Achilles tear and Jordan pulls Ascension and Steph Curry reminding everybody who he is and draymond green reminding everybody who he is and it was a incredible run for this team, kevon Looney becoming uni becoming a significant significant part of this team and obviously we're hoping that Gary Payton the second, the mitten can actually return because the conversation was if the warriors make the finals it's possible that one of their more dynamic players off the bench was starting at the time actually when he got hurt against the Memphis Grizzlies that's possible he could return if they make the finals and look who has made the finals as predicted from this chair. Many, many moons and go after the season began. And so that's where I'd like to lead is I told you so those are the words I'd like to say. Right here, many people were thinking, oh, Phoenix Suns can, you know, when that conference again sure, that's possible, and Memphis Grizzlies could do something. Everyone was talking about the Lakers in this town. Honestly, you flash back to October. Lakers. LeBron, Anthony Davis. Of course, they're going to do well with Russell Westbrook. Some people saw through that. And by some people I mean me. And everybody in this room. But at any rate, I just like spike in the basketball. 'cause I just saw it. Steve Kerr, how great is this guy? All the problems they had against the Memphis Grizzlies. Now obviously there again, there were long on defense and Mike Brown, he's getting ready to go off to Sacramento, Steve Kerr. He is the still going, there's no finger on that chess piece. That move was made, yeah. And so.

"I saw a lot of our defense. You know especially the aggression flying around the ball. They're young. they're fast again. I think this is a this San diego's a good team to wear you know it's gonna be a brawl. But they're not as good as tampa where we make up for those takes man. We were one one or two players away from victory here I think You know quinn. I'm gonna love to see what he does. Now with parsons in. Neil and you know the way. The linebackers can fly our secondary. I think we'll be okay man at the dow up when in this one and i'm and i'm taking it back. I know how highly i think. A san diego. I think we're both potentially up. You know doing well. Potentially i just think we're a little further along in them. And now we've run the ball. If we establish that ron with the highest paid running back in the nfl think that you know we could put some points up man. I i think we're gonna to shoot him last time we like. We blew out a good team on the road on the road yet. I don't know that's a question for you. I would say this. You're our debts work year. Possibly i mean there was no blow out like i'm thinking the bengals away and that wasn't really be that did we beat detroit really. Well that year would say. I would say we're gonna blow them out man nobody no. I'm just curious. I know that's not that's not. We do not gonna game by ten points but wow all right cool. I'm with it. i'm with that i'm with. I'm totally with that. So the dallas cowboys obviously are are dealing with a lot of stuff right now but two of the three jersey boys here on the jersey boys pockets are taking the dallas cowboys to win so with that being said it's almost time to go get ready for kick off and you know the next time you hear from us. We'll be previewing a game that you know we got. We got keith. Going this week to san diego the san diego. We got keith going. La and then.

"I agree with mike mother. I mean right now. We have that wet. We have zeke. We have yeah. Yeah and you know what. You're more worried about vosa off the edge with steel. That played all last year. If that's your that's more of a concern for you than having our Zack martin you know where he belongs. Open those holes. And let zeke bus through it man or run away from bosa. Then you know what i mean. Yeah there's ways around this is. This isn't really the look again. Why even have a tackle correct i. I think if you can't if you can't even have faith in that it makes no sense to me. Yeah i mean. I think i think the game plan will call for different things. I will point out that last week. And i talked to you guys about this earlier. This week is that You know there was twenty eight. Run calls. Right and dag and at the linemates adjustments. And that's that's showing true leadership and showing that he can read a defense because he carved up a really good Tampa bay secondary I will say this though. Ezekiel elliott this week in the media berry humble are very I'll do the best. I can at whatever they asked me to do meeting like he was actually appreciative from dak prescott and a lot of guys on offense at this kid is actually learned and you know has gotten better at picking up a block. You know what i mean. He is laying people out. The kid can hit so. I think this week is actually one of those smoke and mirrors things right now where they're focusing on his pass blocking and he he might. This might be the game where we going drought. That's what i was very happy about. We picked up an extra offensive lineman. The was really considered one of the best blockers in college. He was the best block and running back college and even coming in considered one of the best in in the nfl again. It would panic with with. I mean look. It's a big loss to to lead to lose de law. But hey man. I think the kid dorrance armstrong. I think we'll be oh came in. I think we'll be okay. So i want to speak on zeke thing. The thing with that is With a deck auto pulling out with the twelve. Th i guess there were twelve plays at kelham more cold. Which they'll call twenty-eight he twelve yeah he. Yeah exactly so. I meant the only thing i have a problem with is clock management with that ed and we talked about this before where you know. They had the ball i intend on tampa's twenty with two minutes left and that could have been one of the running place and he audible out. You know rolled out and lost twelve yards. Then everything spiraled from there. So i'm and here's the thing i'm not gonna come down on back all right because our offense was scorn and they were moving the ball. So you're we shouldn't. I should be bring up over you. Know we should around zeke more. All that stuff. And i won't because they were moving the ball now. We weren't moving the ball. Then you could start being like not scoring then we start getting into a but i'm just hoping that this week it's more balanced. Yeah they have You know the chargers getting into the passing game of things. The chargers have a couple of guys that are banged up Obviously during james all pro over there and he's he's still just getting just getting his feet wet off of injury they do have. Some guys are banged up In that secondary. Now the loss of michael gallup for you know three to five or five to six wherever they are actually calling for now at this point Do you guys feel like. It's a insert cedrick wilson. Here no problem or do you think that this is going to serve as one of those things. Where like boy. We gotta gotta figure something else out because decling has two guys. You do understand those starch. There's a difference between being in panic mode and something being not as great as it could be today. We're talking about price. Picks which is the hot new thing in the world daily fantasy and to be honest. It's not hard to see why people are getting all the way into this. Here's how it works. You pick anywhere between two and five players and take the over or the under on some specific stat projections for the day. That's it it's just you against their projected numbers get it right and you could win up to ten times you put down on any entry. And here's the best part prize. Pigs has a ton of statistical categories to choose from including yards receptions touchdowns fantasy points and more. You can even create a mixed sport entry where you take say the over on points and the under touchdowns which is pretty incredible true so many sport you can think of in create an entry in less than a minute..

"Ernst and of course nationally known comedian brett earns fellas. How do and how we feel and were towards the end of the week. We're getting closer to chargers week. How feeling so far. I mean i know there's a lot of doom and gloom going around the cowboys but i'm hoping we can kind of just pick ourselves up off of this. I don't know somehow it's A little nervous now. Yeah yeah. I mean look awful. It is it is. It's it's you know. I said this tongue in cheek when it happens so we can't get your break and unfortunately the break that we call it was demarcus. Lawrence is foot demarcus. Lawrence is now out six to eight weeks which is a heck of a length amount of time and You know it's it's a it's a big loss and there's no there's no way to sugarcoat it or anything like that We were already down. Randy gregory with the cova stuff that seems to be You know they didn't rule him out yet but as we record this. It is thursday night. The washington football team is actually playing the new york. Giants as a record this No ruling out yet but all signs are pointing to the fact that we are not going to have our to starting defensive ends kato. So randy gregory Randy gregory was He's already said he has coded while he. He tested positive Back when when it was announced. I don't know what did you miss that part. I thought i thought he was around someone. Well no what happens is we'll know what happens is the rule is in the nfl. If you if you if you test positive and you're vaccinated then all you have to do is present to negative tests and a twenty four hour span and then you can just get cleared in. You're right back with the game and you have to be symptomatic. That's the case he's asymptomatic. We don't know about you know as far as the negative tests are concerned. I'm not sure how many how much more time there is really. So it's as we review this one. Were we're almost going to say. And kind of guarantee that he's not gonna play if he plays and he's cleared wonderful. But i think this bodes very very bad for dallas cowboys team. That couldn't get to the quarterback at all a tom brady kind of sat back and did his thing You know a quicker release. Of course more than just in herbert but brett losing both defensive ends going into a game like this where we already lacked in the pressure department. How does that. How does that make you feel. I guess really think makes me feel stash aright dating. Get them saint crew. This same crew did not get to a brady rise million. I mean what are. We missing. A lot of has to do with brady's ability to guess read into as quick release. It's not like look right all right fine but i'm just saying it is what it is quick. Release whatever you may say. We did not get to the quarterback dornan and strong only one to get to the quarterback. Now i i also i also texted you guys about the markets lawrence and i know you guys probably thought i was being an idiot but i really think that when you're not practicing when you're not playing and you put so much on your body like he did I don't think that's good for anyone guessing. So you're suggesting that this injury was basically caused by the fact that there's just no preseason saying i'm not saying that's just it but it might have something to do with it man. Yeah happens a lot when people sit out camp or they you know. Look we put them on the i r in the beginning when it was like not even knew he was going on on on our on. I are at. It's one of those things words. You're you're just don't want your players to get hurt. You know so you keep them out you keep them out just just you know. Get them ready to play man. Get them ready to play. I think the worst. Yeah i think the worst part about this is the fact that he broke his foot in practice. You know what i'm saying like if it's a game situation you know you. There's nothing you can do about that. As i said we're we're recording right now. And and the giants lost and offensive lineman. You know probably for the season. You know what i mean so like if it's in a game situation there's nothing you can do. You can't do that. No what i'm saying though is it's not even that it could be him recovering from that game. Correct saying one of those things where man he just went. He hasn't played that much in a while. Now he's got a practice. You're throwing you're throwing everything at these players right away. I mean it was a practice. It wasn't hitting anyone him and he was he was in the scrimmage was seeing the scrimmage against durant de la no. He didn't do that was his first. Play was against tampa. Yeah i it's it's unfortunate. Obviously but like from the game perspective now heading into the next. I mean six to eight weeks when you think about ready gregory will be back at the very least next week Which obviously. I was a very big You know rainy gregory like rar guy throughout the whole tire preseason. I said we're going to get him for a full season. Is going to be great and then we lose them for a game already within the first two weeks nuts. It's it's it's insane. How how has this team how you know what happens to this team. But i asked you guys this. Who are you looking for..

Los Angeles Chargers and Fresh Vine Wine Announce Partnership

"Lindsay. Did you see that. In of julian hubs fresh. Fine wine announced their partnership with the la chargers. I did back. Somebody kindly tweeted it at us knowing that. That was our kind of news. But the la chargers fresh fine wine promises to bring a premium luxury wine experience to the fans who love indulging in the greatest things that life has to offer while being conscious consumers with active lifestyle. Choice chargers really would not be soccer. That makes literally no sense that they would charge. Does it make more sense with football. Selling your like healthy. Fresh wine in a football stadium does not add to like the mission statement of it like stop it. Stop it. Stop getting nachos and cheese. That never gets hard. By the way cheese that will be eternally soft and spreadable like a fun party wine. Which i do think she also thinks her wine is. Dallas Cowboys fire defensive coordinator Mike Nolan and defensive line coach Jim Tomsula

"Do have some breaking news on friday afternoon. The first friday after the dallas cowboys season ended an unfortunate start the new year for their staff. That dallas cowboys. Making some you know some obvious news in a bit of surprise news the dallas cowboys announcing that defensive coordinator. Mike nolan defensive. Line coach jim. Tom soula have been let go. Have been whatever you wanna call it fire to buy the team. They will not be back in two thousand and twenty one. Mike nolan obviously oversaw. One of the worst defenses to ever live ever played in the nfl. And so we'd heard. Rumblings obviously had been reported different instances over kind of the last month that it was likely he was not going to be back although mike nolan. If you're somehow unaware is is rather chummy with mike mccarthy dallas cowboys head coach mike mccarthy they go way back in case. You forgot mike. Nolan was the head coach of the san francisco. Forty niners in two thousand and five and mike mccarthy offensive corner at the time that was of course the year. The forty niners took alex smith with a number one overall pick. Ironically the quarterback that won the division that they were together here. This season with the dallas cowboys. Jim thome soula was a head coach of the forty niners at one point in time himself albeit for only a year obviously following in the footsteps of jim harbaugh who got an extension today of all days again with the university of michigan so lots of symmetry going on here and so. Yeah i mean my canola thing. I think everybody saw coming a mile away. The jim thome solo thing is a bit of a surprise austin on youtube. Says i thought it said mccarthy and was like whoa still good to get rid of nolan and this is how every cowboys fan feels. And let's be frank. Let's be honest. We don't enjoy talking about people losing their jobs. People getting fired or things like that but this defense was among the worst again in the history of this game. The dallas cowboys last week. With their season on the line against an offense that had been anemic for most of the season the new york giants that was incidentally again. You talk about all. The irony here led by former dallas cowboys head coach jason garrett in the giants offensive coordinator who again to go kind of crazy circle reportedly had an interview today on friday with the los angeles chargers for their head coaching vacancy. But the cowboys new york with their season on the line and they got run over. I mean the new york giants before last week against the cowboys. The previous four games. The giants had not scored more than three points in a single first half in each of the four games. The giants played before the cowboys. They went into the locker room at halftime with no more than three points. They put twenty up in the first half against the cowboys. And that was kind of what the season was for the cowboys right. This never ending display of imperfection this never ending run of records getting broken records getting set and i just you know this was inevitable. I mean shutout. Of course to the all encompassing thanos. I mean this truly was inevitable. Reality a lotta people myself. Included wondered what took so long this week. It's a pair at the mike mccarthy and his staff overall were evaluating things doing kind of the final walk throughs and assessments in whatever time just came for them to move

"Church fired Anthony Lynn. I really like Anthony. When did you know that he's from McKinney Texas know he got out here the quickest he could he's from McKinney. He went really sylvain high school and then he went to Tech. Yeah guns up really liking Anthony land. And what sucks is, you know, Justin Herbert's they're going off to you and you some Justin Herbert. Well, I did when before he cut his hair and then he cut his hair and I'm out. Oh lucky. We're not talking. Okay all that to say he's still a very talented quarterback. And I think it's one of those situations where spiders are he's in spite Amy for that very Sage astute Sports analysis, you know what players are all-encompassing in their talents. There's there's certain things that come with the talent and sometimes the chair and if you lose the hair then you know what they say take that yes p.m. If the hair out with the talent All right. But anyway, okay. Well me being I think it's one of those situations where they have their franchise quarterback, but I don't necessarily think that Anthony think Anthony when is a fit for that particular quarterback some kind of just goes to show how important. Yep. The quarterbacks are on a team absolutely important. It is to match the head coach with the quarterback. The system has to all work every piece of that machine has to work so I don't really think it's so much Anthony Lynn not being a good head coach. I think it's and this is just my opinion. I could be really I mean no, please after that hair opinion. I trust you. Why would you I think it has to do with those two not the maybe his way of coaching doesn't really dead mesh with the future of what they want with Justin

And you know, as 27 scores passing scores on the year that ties a Baker Mayfield, the record set in 2018 for the most by a rookie in NFL history. Las Vegas, meanwhile, dropping to seven and seven and lost quarterback Derek Carr to a left groin injury in the first quarter. Uh, Las Vegas has lost 45 all but killing its playoff chances. NFL Week 13 picks: How far can the Saints go with Taysom Hill?

"Next game is the new orleans. Saints in the atlanta falcons saints favored by three I will take the falcons in this game with three points at home. I will take the saints this. Because i think the falcons aren't as good as they looked yest- last week agreed. Alright los angeles rams favored by three at the arizona cardinals I like the cardinals getting those three points I don't know if it's the shoulder. What murray does not look right. The cardinals are kind of looking. We're all of the this. The division games in this in this in the nfc west are always bizarre. I'll take the rams. I'll give the three and take the rams i'll right next. Game is new york giants plus ten at seattle I think we both seattle in this one. Giants are playing better of late. I think there may be the front runner in that division but the the seahawks are A much better team here. Yes if they would be winning the nfc east they were in it. Yeah New england patriots Against the los angeles chargers. The team. That i i like how you build this bowl. The team that should lose versus the team. That should win the team. That should lose but doesn't as often versus the team. That should win but never wins. I phrased it better. But that's the think you did as well. What do you want to go ahead and give it a shot. No now i who knows what it is but yeah the chart. The chargers can't win can't win games. They should and the stupid patriots. You know they they win games. They shouldn't

"Let's go ahead and take a look at the injury report for this week Tampa Bay buccaneers against the Los Angeles chargers that is still weird for me to say. Should be San Diego chargers. was looking to charges real quick. The chargers like the broncos have a lot of guys on I are that are already out for the season a couple of guys that come to mind derwin James Melvin Ingram I. Think Chris Harris I think was another guy who is starting cornerback for the Yup those guys are done not even on this injury report, but on this injury report. Out For the Game Brian Ba- Laga tyrod Taylor trae Turner and Mike Williams are all out now Brian blog and train her. To right He. He's he's in there. He's in there. He's in there. Yeah. Yeah. I think he he started or something but I I think he's Allie. He's he's not on the injury report at all not this week. But the Brian Bulava in Turner are both starting offensive Lineman for the chargers. That's big. tyrod Taylor. Obviously, he is out who is the WHO's The quarterback they have now? Is a Hebrew Justin Herbert Herbert. Herbert. So he'll be out and then Mike Williams is out as well listed as question, which means they probably will play his Ray Sean Jenkins Storm Norton tyree Saint Louis Nick Visual. No names that I personally recognize their of any consequence. Joey Bosa is on the the the injured. He was full participation by. Friday. So we'll see him go as he lining up against worse or is he Donovan Smith He's down into math he's Donovan. Smith should be beginning. Should be. Let me ask you this. If you're a defensive Lineman, these days, who do you want to line up against versus the buccaneers Donovan Smith or for Morphs? Donovan, Smith. Watching the tape So that is the chargers injury report. Let's move over to Bay buccaneers. We already mentioned earlier today that learn is out joining him out is Chris Godwin who re aggravated a hamstring injury so he is gone reiterate during the game if I remember correctly. Also Scotty Miller is out are not I'm sorry Scotty Miller questionable but he is. He is on the injury report with a hip groin injury. he was full participation, but he sat out with Wednesday and Thursday. He's probably play most likely going to play but with him being a little bit banged up with Chris Godwin being out. Given what we saw from Tyler Johnson last week. Yes. We're going to see a little bit more Tyler Johnson this week. I personally hope so I I've had a crash in Tyler Johnson since I saw him play Ray J and their ballgame where he dominated for Minnesota. Let's see what he's got. He didn't I think he dropped did he drop a pass on Sunday? I felt by is only his only target? Yeah I Love Tyler. John. At least the prospect so I hope I hope he gets some some more looks I just hope Brady doesn't put him in the Doghouse and stop there onto drops it. I don't think so. And more because he doesn't really have any like he can't just like bench him you know. It's like it's you know he doesn't have Mike in Chris and and and with maybe Tyler Johnson's on there, and then you have a tight end and running back. So my fifth option but he was in for a good amount of plays I think it was in the low twenty s and or high teams he played like he played like almost as many as Scotty Miller. So we know that was good He said that he plays he they I've been I, play three. Positions. And I'm wondering what those are. X. Y. and Z. and if that's it, then you don't play one, you play you play wide receiver. Jon Gruden Yeah I understand like some receivers are better X. or only acts and some receivers are better. Or wise and only wise but I mean like Mike. Evans. Yes. He's a better you know. I don't even know which one's which is as a better Z. and outside. But it doesn't mean he can't play slot either wide receiver and. Wider. It's a spot where you line up on a route you run like does it really matter where you start from? Right right? So if that's what he's talking about who cares. Yeah I. Think I'm excited to see him. I was shocked that he dropped that ball. But maybe you know. Cream, hunt never fumble in college is first NFL. Run he fumbled fumbled sense whole. You know there's Tyler. Look look at that if he wants to. But yeah, I'm excited to see keyshawn volume sired see Tyler Johnson with these guys can do. On Sunday. I feel like Justin Watson least he he seemed to have a good report Brady when he was in there, he's seen some looks So I wonder how much action he's going to get Scotty is indeed. Ailing He. He'll probably play. But how much will he play? What good Jay Watts to? Godwin out. T J watts him and Scotty we'll sort of get the same amount of. Of plays and I think Justin Watson will be Chris Guy when he's GonNa play the slot and I think Justin Watson's having a great year like he's made some really good catches. Catch where you got were you know quote unquote considered a drop. It was a good play defender and he went to he almost really corralled it, and that's how we end up hurting his arm because you sorta reaching fort while he was diving and fell on himself. and. You know and all his weight came down sort of on the underside of the shoulder if that makes any sense which doesn't. But if you see the replay talking about so yeah, I think I think it's it's it's GonNa. Be You know? Everybody on deck and when we start talking about the chargers, you'll. It'll be more clear for you what I mean by that. Yeah and so let me ask you this with Justin Watson. Being in their Scotty. Miller being in their Chris Godwin Out I. Think the easy thing to say or the easy idea is that Mike Evans is going to be the guy who winds up getting doubled the most. So do we expect that to open up? You know maybe some stuff over here four guy like Justin Watson who really hasn't been in the spotlight over the course of his time in the NFL just yet because he's usually been like wide receiver five..

"Does anything that is like potentially detrimental to covert or potentially brings it in like huge fines, huge huge fines and rent. I think you pointed out earlier like nobody can leave the city or the state during their bye week like the city the city you can't leave. You GotTa Stop Leave Your City. Yeah I mean, you know the nfl you know tried to. Who Really knows? What faulted is what they did is gay tested heavy at the beginning make sure they got everybody in the building nice and clear. Okay. Then they scale back the testing you know maybe it's cost effective maybe it's like okay. Well, now that we know that we're in the clear we can we feel like this level of testing we'll keep it out of most facilities are all phillies I'm sure they thought. And then somebody somewhere did something now no one's pointing fingers. You hear a lot of people say well, you know players got kids and kid goes school and they get it and they don't and the kids don't show symptoms and then they give it to the player and player to show symptoms and they walk in there and well okay. If that was the case and you never should've stopped testing. every day. So they've ramp that back up and now the NFL is trying to show the players and the organization staff. that. And mostly I think it's a lot to the staff because if you seen like in baseball like it wasn't the players, it was the staff that was heavily infected that got the then it spread to the players in even Tennessee. It was like two players like five staff members. Organizational people and you know it's not like the defensive coordinator. You know it could be like the video offer or the person runs instagram account or you know or the guy that runs around with with the water bottles at practice like. They're trying to show that these people like this is not going to stop. We're going to have an NFL season and if you can't be responsible enough to do what we tell you to do. We're GONNA WE'RE GONNA Hammer you. Because if you're the reason that we don't have a super bowl in January and lose out on millions and millions and millions and millions and millions, probably a billion dollars. Like You'RE GONNA YOU'RE GONNA know. We're upset. With. It'd be well well over a billion because what what was it ran a couple of years ago like they just found eight billion dollars and every team got a check for three hundred, million dollars at covered their salary cap for the year or something stupid like that. Yeah. Yeah. Here here's a here's a three, hundred, fifty, million dollar check that we founded in accounting, right? Everyone gets one. What I hope is that this is not like baseball and that it took like, oh, like I mean they they had to cancel or reschedule a whole bunch of games like it's spread from one team to another. Guy Almost. At hand. I'm hoping that this is enough of a wake up call. Both for the NFL and for the players. To take things seriously like you said, who knows who actually caught it could been staff member or whatever but. any no joke and A. Rescheduled game. But what happens if come that game time they'd somebody tests positive. Again you know. They can only do that so much right like. Things up. I'm worried about it. They'll figure it out like I I'm I'm really not like. Know if it's like you have to I, I saw someone i. think it was Schefter talking how? They might revisit or even go forward with having one hundred free agents in a hard bubble. Like they did with hockey and basketball, and if it gets, you know gets out of hand. Well, this is which you know it's not my. You didn't follow the rule we're getting. You'd get enough like this is this is the group of people that have already been cogan tests tested. Don't have the weight the three four days you know like, Oh, we need replacement, you sign a Monday, you can't have the practice field till Friday because you got to take a test wait for twenty four hours. Take another way forty, eight hours take a test win another twenty, four hours take another test. And if those are all three negative, then you can go. So they're going to have guys. You know maybe in a hard bubble that they can bring in, you know at the top of a hat but also what helps with football It's different from baseball stars cancelling games is base place like they usually play five days a week, and later they played six days a week as it was I mean. Yeah, the Tampa Bay lightning, the entire baseball season happened why they are in Edmonton or. Actually both places. But so why they are in their bubble during the hockey playoffs, the entire baseball season happened. So you know, that's how they got sixty games in in in that in that stretch. So. That's that's one thing that's lease was helping football's that you only got to play once a week. Yeah, and hopefully this really well, let me ask you is this if push came to shove. Does the NFL cancel the season or does it really become a season of replacements? And that like do they just keep moving and we're I mean we're talking about people playing suiting up for these teams that we have never heard of before in our lives. I think they would do that before canceling for sure. That like I think. Yeah. A lot would have to happen for them to cancel. I mean we were talking about how may be was GONNA cancel it all the positive tests they had from two different teams.

"So. Let's move on. We had a couple of headlines this week that are kind of talk about This one more perfunctory I guess than anything else the buccaneers. What does that mean? What ways perfunctory is we say it because we have like. We're. Google I used it. It's it's her how do you describe a word without using the word? You say as a matter of. Yeah. You say it is a matter of. Out. An adjective. An action or gesture carried out with a minimum of effort or reflection. Oh so like I'm less you. Yes. or Yes. Yes and it, and it also usually bears the idea of you do it just because you're supposed to do it. Right so In terms of this the basically in this means not a lot to talk about I'm just mention just for the sake of mentioning it because it's something that happens out there. That being said, the buccaneers are currently in sole possession of the NFC south as it sits right now granted to only three weeks down we're moving into week four right now but they are in possession of this with the the saints losing it last week the Falcons completely tanking in. Last week's game in the panthers just being the panthers. yeah. Buchan ears are in control the NFC south. So I think this is the spot where we say fifteen in more go I like it. I like it I dig it. I don't think we ever talked about our predictions. We did at once as a joke, right like how many of the books that went all of them all all right. That was one of my favorite episodes. schedule. Let's go through it I. don't even know who these drafted. Let's break down the schedule record. Right. No idea what they're going to do. I'm going twelve and four, six two in the first, half six and two in the second half, and that's losing the packers game and then the second half leaving the cheese and and the saints game which I don't think we are anymore. Alec I could push thirteen, three three. But I'm not because you'RE GONNA lose a game we're not supposed to. and. You know what? When you do that usually win a game you're not supposed to but the only two games left that we should not win or won't be favored in or you know maybe stumble is the packers and and the chiefs, and then we'll see the plan by the time they get here I don't know I've seen a few people pick the chargers for this week and I for the life of the candidates. In fact, I even tweeted at Purdue Report Joe. Lead your picked up charges to win this week said he is suspended from their broadcast for the rest of the year. I'm saying. I I'm waiting for it to dry like it's the it's the bucks fan and all of us we're just waiting for that that. That game that we're supposed to blow them out, and then we just let them stay in and then blow it in the fourth quarter by missing fuel goal or something. Stupid. So I I almost I'm looking at the schedule. Now it's like actually don't expect that for this game I kind of expect for the raiders because it's Jon Gruden and feels like a bucks thing to do. Yeah, I could see it but we're GONNA we're, GonNa talk about the game later when we get the things you're watching but. I'm saying is C. C. P.. I'll tell you that means later CCP interesting idea what that means we'll find out later. Google it. Worries Closets Plan Graham performance. PODCAST that was right. There you go. That's it. Of course, closet podcasts. correy's got an issue coming out ladies and gentlemen you guys make sure you go check it out. All right. With Corey. Right all right. Well moving on. Leonard Fournette is GonNa be out this week. There's a little bit jumping the gun on the Internet is out this week, which means Keyshawn von and according to be He's going to see some snaps and he's going to see some action this week. So NFL debut for for Keyshawn von render very excited. I am I want I want to see what he can do i. mean they picked him in front of. Johnson you know we needed a wide receiver we all way. If everyone remembers there were like four or running backs, the bucks wanted they had a chance at Dobbins but they went with Winfield and we're I'm thank you. And arguments that just you did. At the time I didn't like it at all. But I was there I saw it I saw. But. Yeah. So now this is the guy that did they targeted in a third round guy from vanderbilt or running back like that's. You know that's that's. Something that does happen a lot. So yeah, I wanNA see him block. O. ON CATCH show on him run the ball I want to see him i. don't even know what number is. I want to see him and his uniform Mike last week we got to find out what Johnson you know. Back, in his uniform looked pretty good, I want to see what shown looks like in his uniform. I'll tell you something that I'm interested to see what happens is how Well I'm going to save this extra I'm GonNa save this for later almost save it for later keyshawn vons coming in we should get our first looks at Keyshawn von. This this coming game. With that hey, how about some fun news before we get into some kind of sad news I guess. BUCCANEERS had a slew of honours get tossed their way this week, Shaq Barrett. We'll start there named defensive player of the week. For his two sack performance in Denver going.

Mean You make the point that I've ever actually thought about it but I always seem surprised when the buccaneers drafted new wide receiver but you think about what we have right now we've got Mike Evans for a couple more years. We got Chris Godwin who were getting ready to resign I don't I don't think there is any way they're going to let him walk out of the building. They just since got a year left. Iran. Three year two years left rights, and we just got Tyler Johnson who that looks a little iffy right now but hey, it's his rookie season. He didn't really have a training camp at all. Or preseason it all to to do anything. So we'll cut him some slack this year. but yeah, it's it's a loaded wide receiver room from guys we have drafted. The we like generally speaking out as a as a team. So. With that being said, the buccaneers just perfunctory this week placed on the protected list nobody can pluck them off Kim. Jong Barbara Ross Cochran Cornerback Cyril Grayson is back on that list and I, think he's been on this just about every week and then kicker Greg Joseph who also has been on this list. Just about every single week as well too. So. Interesting that they. They keep protecting cocker it. Cockerel Cochran. Ours tweak being protected, but they keep protecting Greg Joseph and Cyril Grayson though. Okay. Go ahead. No I. It doesn't really matter like remember how excited we were like Oh protection that we talk about that happens or like care. right. But but you know cockerel who cornerback came from the panthers who has one of the worst secondaries and the League's here like. This guy be. Well he's getting protected. So either around the NFL cornerback plays very thin and or like they don't trust. Ryan Smith, which we saw because when cornerback went down that it. To I'm calling him a dubs. Junior. WJ. Eight wj I thought about talk I thought about Conham. Sas Parrilla. Because w root beer and the root enroute bears asprilla. Wow. But then as initials are a W., W. Equals wins and the kids today call winds dubs. So I'm Kinda dubs. Wow. That that was you know. What is the Ocean's eleven we're in Bonney like what else you get hauled away to me. It's we're in trouble Bonnie rebel travel anyway that's that's. Me Okay. Hey. Explanation. Exactly. You mentioned them being comfortable though speaking of of a dubs bringing him down into the nickel or maybe want to utilize to did we'll go ahead and jump this a little bit Sean Murphy Bunting has been injured this week with a groin injury. He was full participation by Friday but there was a note from be a in one of his press conferences where he said even then if he can't go, they feel really comfortable bringing. You Know Antoine winfield down into the nickel like there is no talk of ringing Ryan Smith in for this team like none. At all, he'll stay on special teams and I'm okay with that I think everybody's okay with that. Yeah and I know like again will reference Brent being on the road Who burnings playing said the presser hundred percent he's going he's healthy right ready rock and roll he'll be there For the I think the quote I was just pointing was from earlier in the week when he was just listed on the report and they were talking about it. So but that's that's all the the roster moves and everything that they have They do use all four of those protectorates fossils week as opposed last week where they just only used for three for whatever reason..

"It's like here Capital. Let me help you out. There was another time huwa Gosh, yeah, somebody caught the ball and they'd landed on the ground and it was about was about a fifteen yard pass from the line of scrimmage and was in the center of the field and whoever caught it. I want to say it was Godwin or whether he falls down and nobody touches him. So he gets back up and about the time. He's getting dropped off. Jensen was right behind him like carrying him or wasn't it off now. That was I was a different play. Yeah. I think that was last week. I don't know might have been this week. I can't remember but now anyhow Jensen is about ten fifteen yards away at the line of scrimmage. He sees this guy getting up and he realizes hold nobody touched him. So Jensen full-bore just runs down the field and hits the first guy that tries to tackle. It was funny. He really he didn't really blow up the pile. Like I thought he was going through. I mean he was just Hollin, but he was like, I'm going to knock somebody out. Capital right, you know but offensive line did good. But then again, it's Denver's defense. Yeah, do they have they don't really have a pass-rush wage jobs pretty good. He worked worse a little bit most disappointing player and I'm going to say this and I hate saying this is the defib now. He didn't play bad again this whole year. He's not played bass. But he's just not playing the way I have seen him play you want him to be more explosive aggressive and now he has a good place where he just pushed your bulrush guys back. He split a double a one-time got to the quarterback. I mean he had some good plays but you know Vita I'm used to watching him every Play Just Give guys fits and throw it literally throwing guys around he hasn't done that in all this year cuz the Ragdoll yeah, it's been dragged all them people not Ragdoll anybody and I don't know if he's saving his energy for how long he's working into. I don't know what's going on with you or maybe they're coaching him a different way. Yeah, I do not know. Run blocking needs to improve with the offensive line, and we just we just not getting enough push with that. Titans plate. Okay, you know, yeah, so yeah, we saw them do a lot of a lot of catching but Rob Gronkowski really helps a lot with our blocking. He's he's he's dead by far the best blocking tight end. We have the defensive line to me. I think they need more oomph. And like I said, they're just not playing with that energy. They they played with last year. You know, I mean they're they're doing good. They really brought it in the fourth quarter when we knew they were passing like every down. Yeah, we were bringing the Heat. The secondary is just you leave. That is so crazy. They're so young. I know. Yeah, I think Mike Edwards is the oldest at twenty-four. Really? Yeah and Carlton. He's like the veteran boss has he had a great read an open-field tackle. He he played great that interception. Edwards was just unbelievable. But on that play my favorite part about that blade was he intercepts ball one-handed catch his beautiful beautiful catch. I mean, it's a it was a it was a high-level Elite receiver catch and he you know, he's a he's a defensive guy. Yeah one handed catches that ball. He's in the end zone when he decides. I'm going to run it out. Right? Well as soon as he does that the whole defense goes. Oh shit. We got block. The vaunted David is standing beside 61. Who outweighs him by like a hundred pound offensive lineman? Wow, the Vault David, I mean he tried blocking that guy for the guy Lavonte David put a shoulder in his chest and I've got to run his thoughts hit him right in the chest and basically just bounced around in the guy and he'd ended up making the tackle. Did you see David going lazy tried to take the effort? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the play where Godwin's scored the touchdown that was a busted play on their part their defense just totally confused three of them covered drunk and my God lift might open. Yeah. They're sitting there talking to each other the whole second are there was three three guys in it like a triangle on the left side three guys that are trying on the right side and the two guys up front page returned around talking to the guy in the back where we snapped the ball on both sides of field. They were totally unprepared so that we snapped the ball, you know, they have to turn around like oh crap, there's power coming at us and one of them was Rob Gronkowski. So they all decided. Hey, we need to cover this guy. So they all three did and God when was just wide open. The what's his name Connor? Yes, he's he's 39. Now that's 98, right? That might be Anthony Nelson. I can't remember video. He had that blocked punt. That was a good. Good when blocked it that was O'Connor. Yeah, that was up, I can't.

"Know, he's getting that ball out so quick, you know, they're not having to do a whole lot. Yeah. Jack Barrett, he deserves all the praise. He's gotten he was the most highlighted guy I had on my she was just popping up everywhere. Oh good stuff home. Yeah, two two sacks and safety. Yeah, and he didn't seem to be on the field as much. I didn't look at the snap counts. I meant to do that before we did the podcast. What he was back in coverage a lot. He actually had four plays in a row where they put him back in coverage. So, you know, know what that's saying. I mean when you're putting a guy he's not dead on the field all the time. I mean, what's he getting 80% of the snaps somewhere around there? I think last time we looked it was about eighty. And then 25% of those in the passing plays are him dropping back in coverage and he's still getting all this. I mean, he's still getting to the quarterback on passing plays and and Thursday. Yeah, we have a superstar, but he dropped back in, He did a lot of funky stuff on defense man. Matter of fact Gregg Allman even asked he asked both Bruce Arians and Craig balls Todd Bowles Hubble's about our defense how you know what he asked holes. What are you called these defenses and topmost started laughing. He was just like well, I'll have to talk to you off the Record about that because I don't want to give away too much information. Oh well, but you have these defense can even say what they were calling. No, that's great. Thank you said what do you you name them or what? Do you call them something? I can't remember but they are insane. I highlighted one in the things. I've found interesting video where they had six guys lined up. to rush We only ended up rushing for. And it was only two with a six guys on the line rushed the whole middle beat up via the domican Suh. Let me see here was the defensive or his feet if they had double Cox C O Connor and I think Goldston can't remember and then Devon white and Lavonte David were up on the line to like they were going to rush right the ball snapped Lavonte David and Devin white dropped back into coverage the two guys on edge of Connor and Goldston. No, no, we stay p p they brush in David Kang Suh and Vita vea Russian and then right before they make contact with offensive line. They turn around and drop back into coverage Winfield and oh gosh, he was a month off. Naples Whitehead, I can't remember if they come blitzing in from the outside and O'Connor and Winfield met at the quarterback. It was a great play totally confused too. Everybody knowing what was going on. That was a Lavonte David's interception. Okay. So, you know, I mean, they just like every play it's just weird coverages disguises and books that you just what are they doing? So Drew Driscoll had a hard time with it as we saw and we're going to talk about the Chargers quarterback. He's going to have a hard time with it, too. But on that page. That was the ugly interception by Lavonte David it is it's so funny. Shaq. Barrett was mic'd up for this game. And he even talked about he was he ran over to Devonte David. He was like, well, you catch that ball a little prettier. It was the ugliest he like cradle it in the air. It was so I mean, he caught it with his body and all four of his limbs, but here's something I didn't even notice this on the game on the the broadcast version. He got up and ran the wrong way. Yeah. I know he lost like ten yards on that you notice that it's on the south sheet. He had negative five young like, he's lucky. He got tackled. I know he probably will score the touchdown I was cracking up. But yeah, well our defense is insane. That's insane. We're good. Our secondary is just amazingly good. We we haven't made a mistake yet. I don't think it's so crazy. I mean most things God. Or second year first-year in that Winfield. Oh my gosh. He is. He's another six star. Yeah, I counted I want to say four times that he rushed in and I mean he is fast he's fast he comes from way off screen and he gets to the quarterback in like two seconds. I mean just blazing but he comes running in and out feels like he can't get to the quarterback at the quarterback starts to wind up the throw he leaps in the air and he's got a bird. Hey, and I think I kind of four times where he did that took so closed but one time he got it smacked that ball right out of her. I was like, oh you go boy and what time he put a Juke on Melvin Gordon the wrong about he come running in and Melvin Gordon's like okay. I got this guy. He's small and everything and metal. Gordon is like going to block him and Winfield wage. Really Jukes him out and runs right untouched runs right to the core. Wow. Yeah. I mean it was like Gordon was just standing there. He was like what happened to that guy where go. I mean it was a neat little like jump to the outside and then shut to the inside and just untouched he is just unbelievable. And what a steal. Yeah. I mean we got him in the second round Jason light you have built a monster. Oh, I'm sorry. Sorry to all you haters can a kicker for ship but I think All Is Forgiven yeah. Yeah, but back David Smith, he played well, he matter of fact Tristan worse was the worst playing offensive lineman reflects. Yeah. He did play horrible. But yeah, you know as far the most mistakes and we trust and worse off but Diamond Smith played really well. That was the only mistake I saw him makes was that that sack and he was actually attacking the Defenders, which is very rare. Yeah instead. Waiting for them to come him. He was going to them hitting them. He actually got a pancake we did I was like, wow that's so rare for him off and it was on a sub. Really? Yeah. He mainly went up against Chubb Anthony. Chickillo and ninety seven at achoo. Achoo. Those are the guys that black diamond Smith handled. So our offensive line did pretty well Jensen had a couple of good Jensen plays, you know, you punch anybody know he didn't punch in his body, but he did tackle a guy. Okay, it was funny. He's he's didn't have anybody to block so he starts off helping more pet month and he sees a not more pet the Kappa and he sees more pet with a guy. So he runs over to Mar pet to help him block and right before he gets there. He realized job. Our pets got this guy. So he turns back around and he's he's about I don't know ten feet away from Kappa and his guy that he's blogger. So he just ramps it up a grand straight at that guy takes him right to the ground over. It was great. I went ahead and probably yeah..

"But I'm really surprised me more four weeks into the season the first that's happened. It didn't go through training camp, you know. Yes, and you have to wonder is it may only positive? Yeah, I mean like they don't have the symptoms. They only know that they have it cuz they got tested. Yeah, I don't know. Yep per Gregg Allman offensive holding penalties are down across the league. That's funny. I was just getting ready to talk about that. Okay, scoring's up 5.4 points per game and everybody's saying well it's because I'm officiating is being done a lot differently. Mainly they're not calling offensive holding. I wish they would have told us that week one instead of the Saints. Yes, I have rappa's Ola Jose Sports better on Twitter. He calculated the average is from 2016 to 2019 of the different wage. Royalties that were called and how frequently they were called. So for instance in 2019, the total number of penalties per game was 13.48 and in 2028. The average is 11.8. So down almost two penalty is a game. Yeah, the offensive whole language. I thought you would appreciate this month, since you were complaining about that week one with the saints. That one is down. So in 2019, they were calling 2.28 a game now. They took in one point three four games. So almost one less. Yeah and I mean there are down like across-the-board defense of whole lean. It was 1.48 and 2019. Now they're calling .86 not even one per game. Yeah, not even one month per game illegal contact is up. They'll it was 1 4 and 2019.28 now twenty-twenty illegal contact and lack defense of pass interference. That's up to but the whole big one. It really screwed us in the Saints. Yeah, it would have been nice to know when the seasons. Yeah, that's that's how I feel. I feel like they told the referees told the Saints said hey, we're not going to call holding this game and then they didn't tell the Buccaneers. So do what you want. Yeah. It's like definitely took advantage to the same. Yeah. The buccaneer sign wide receiver Isaac Whitney to the practice squad. And of course that was because Daniel Helm the Titan was scooped up off the practice squad by the 49ers. So we had an open spot Whitney came into the league in 2017 as an undrafted free agent and he signed with the Raiders. He played two games in 2017 and then spent time on the practice squad. So it's kind of he kind of fluctuated between active roster and practice squad and then in 2018, he went through writers Camp got cut and then spent the remainder of season on the Texans practice squad 2019, He went on IR with the Texans and then in 2020. He went through the Texans Camp got cut after training camp. And here he is with the Buccaneers now, he adds us some options since Justin Watson had an injury and Chris Godwin suffered an injury. So who would have thought of all the positions we would need more depth at wide receiver. I know I mean we're hurting we talked about that like offseason fact we are yeah, we're good at wide receiver. We don't need anybody else. Yeah. Yeah felt like we had to get rid of some good wide receiver know. Yeah. Well now with our trying to fill out the practice squad just in case Yep, so that wraps it up for the news. Okay, let's get the game film cool. We are kind of trying to get through this podcast has been a hectic week for us. Like I say, we got a funeral this weekend. So we got to travel. Going to be in Tampa. So we're we're kind of behind schedule on everything. It seems like everything everything still have a million more things to do. Yeah. All right. So I thought this was an interesting game to say the least one thing I want to do. I want to give hats off to Denver. They never stopped playing hard, even when they were down in the fourth quarter with a couple of minutes left. The game was added they were still playing hard and I like to see that. Yeah, you did see guys not trying to tackle and you know kind of just moseying about the field and still know those guys were playing hard. So, you know gotta gotta hand it to Denver for that Driscoll is not the quarterback of future. I could say that in fact, there was there was one player. I had to point this out on the things I found interesting video, but he's running a bare. It's Chase team. Of course that was kind of the theme for the night. Yeah. Yep. Did he goes to throw the ball sort of guy he kind of reminded me a lot of James Winston. He goes to throw the ball. He's running out like on a bootleg but bear it's right behind him and he goes to throw the ball and it just like like falls out of his hand. I don't know what happened. It's it's like he squeezed it too hard. It just kind of fell and landed like three yards in front of it. It was hilarious. But the funny part of it is is as soon he did it he turned and looked at his hand and this is before the ball hit the ground he turns and looks at his hands and he keeps as he's running and stops. He's just like staring at his hand like like he has no ideal. You know, it's like a foreign body thought it was very strange. It was it was it was funny as all get out. There was a lot of weird. Yeah a lot of funny stuff one thing want to bring this up. I don't like the cornerbacks. That's a dog. Our backs they're playing off a little too much for me. Jamal Dean. Does it you know, they're doing that 18 yards playing off the receivers and we had to issue with the Mike Smith when he was young defensive coordinator here. It doesn't seem to be that big of a problem in issue really, but I just don't like I don't like it if it freaks me out. It makes it too easy for you guys to run these insights plants and you know catch a pass for 6 yards. Yeah when you don't need to give them that yarn you anything. Yeah. Yeah, Donovan Smith great. Oh good great. Glad to hear that. I am to give up a sack he gave up one sack, but I'm going to put an asterisk beside that. It wasn't necessarily his fault now. I mean, he's getting paid big money. He should be doing an elite level stuff a lemur pet was blocking the guy and then pass you off to Donovan and Donovan wasn't ready. Donovan was actually looking at another guy there now Rob Gronkowski chip blocked a guy to the outside. And so Donovan Ross waiting for that guy to rush in after Gronkowski went out for pain, you know went out for a route. So he was kind of standard that guy and a lemur pet passes. This is got over to David and kind of out the corner of his eyes. Donovan saw the guy comment and put a shoulder into the guy's chest, but it wasn't enough and he ended up getting between the two of them sack and caught back. So, you know, it wasn't a really wasn't 1% Donovan's fault. I mean, he should be elite enough to be able handle something like that, but It was just one of those things but also on that sack Tom Brady had three and a half seconds. So well, that's that's a long time for ya quarterback for Tom Brady. That's a song super long time. Well, I better offensive linemen are pretty condition to 4 seconds 5 Seconds. Yeah have like a bird Davis Brazil long. Yeah. Yeah, they're either they're getting a lot of down time because you.

"Welcome to the Buccaneers Observer podcast. This is Ralph Phillips. Molly Bay. Today is September 4th, October 1st, October 1st. Yeah, here we go, October 1st Halloween's on the rise. We got a good game coming up Sunday. We're going to talk about that what we saw with the Chargers. We watched two of their three games. We didn't watch one with Tyrod Taylor because he's not why bother with pointless and we've got some film breakdown of the last game against the Denver Broncos. Finally got that video out now. I did it in three parts. It was a half hour all total. And I've got some people requested that I break it up into smaller bites cuz I half hours a lot to consume in one time. So I went ahead and did that and I've been trying to do it every year to do, you know a little 10-15 minute videos instead of the the whole thing. Let me know if you if you guys like that, you know, if that's something you're you're good with. So anyhow, it's out on YouTube go check it out things. I've found interesting some good stuff in there. I liked it. It's funny because I started off and I'm watching this game is happens a lot because game films kind of boring, you know, if don't have the crowd noise, you know any noise and it's not that dramatic angle where you're just a bunch of guys balls flying and people flying it's everything spaced out and you know, it's a lot of nothing happens, you know, there'd be a lot of nothing happening all over the field. Then one spot there will be something happening. And generally it's a guy running four feet and then getting tackled, right? Yeah for me. It's the noise. I have a hard time following month like it keep in mind tension. I like to listen to music while I do it. Yeah after it takes about eight ten hours to do these to go through the game film and if I just sit there with no sound, you know, but I'll be crazy after a while but watching this and in this happens all the time doing these I will I'll cut the clips as I'm watching. It may be thinking well, you know, this this game is kind of boring and then I'll go back and I'll put all the clips together and watch all the clips and I go wow I gave was exciting but you could because it's like one out of every six or seven plays or something interesting worth mentioning. So you end up You know, we've got a lot of login through it plugging through it. Yep. So what do you want to talk about first Molly? I have some news from the week. And I forgot about yeah, I do have some news today. Okay? Okay, Gregg Allman reports that 50 Antoine Winfield is second among NFL rookies with two sacks. He's behind Chase young who is two and half. He leads all rookies with three quarterback hits and is tied for second for tackles among all the rookies really and he was named Defensive Rookie of the month. Yeah, that's a big thing as well and probably going to jump in this and squish your news here, but Lavonte David got defensive NFC defensive player of the month, right? Yep, and he had that 24 tackles to tfl's and interception quarterback kit for stumble and fumble recovery Dash Carmen Vitali pulled all those down. Yeah. It's that's just another reporter for I know Lavonte David. I mean it's been doing this for but nine years. I can't even remember a long time and then Shack birth. It was named NFC defensive player of the week. So we had three Buccaneers on the defense recognize now, we want credit for this because we said it we said it we said it all off season coming that our defense was going to surprise everybody that it was going to be as dead. If not better than our offense, so bam. There you go. There we go. Start taking my advice for stock. Whatever. I want to win baby. Yeah. Yeah. The offensive our offensive line Pro Football Focus has it ranked number five really they do I'm starting to really like pro football game opinions changed on that that's wise and everything the Pro Football Outsiders who has a really good, you know those dvoa stuff and they seem to really work hard at trying to be as scientific with their crap as a can they have as listed eightth. Okay. Well sell you said 10:00, so oh, yeah. The season is the universe. Yeah. I mean we're just now getting to mesh so yeah. Well I think will be tough five offensive line definitely topped off or were there per profootballfocus. I love that Pro Football Focus go get my subscription so I can know what rankings are what right and Rappaport is reporting that Christian wins MRI revealed a hamstring strain and he will be out against the Chargers and probably Thursday Night Football the Bears we've got Oh my gosh. Yeah, it's the Chargers in the Bears. Yeah. Okay, man. We're going to beat the mess out of the Bears that's going to be fun watch. Yeah Hope Sound Thursday night. It's at Bears to 8:20 p.m. Would be fun. Yes Farrah seeing them at home on Thursday Night Football. Yeah, they did it as many of times. Dan Graziano of ESPN reported about the covin in Tennessee. That one's crazy. So I pull this Wednesday that there was an additional positive tests just no positives in Minnesota in Tuesday's round of testing and then the league, you know, they have those like contact tracers that everyone where I found there were no close contacts with the Titans player who's test came back positive, which says their isolation procedures are working Tom. Pelissero is reporting that no one from Minnesota tested positive. So they are resuming activities. They open the facility. They were having practice but the NFL did postpone the Tennessee Pittsburgh game from Sunday. Did they give an explanation why they did that is it just because the Tennessee guys Yeah, well and then today there was another player that tested positive and a staff member. So I think they're just trying to keep it isolated to the Titans and not spread it off Pittsburgh. She's over there doing hand movements. You can't see it. She's got it down under dos. You know what I'm saying doing this? Yeah, no word on when it's going to be rescheduled. It'll be later in the season. It's kind of tricky because you know, we don't know if Tennessee and Pittsburgh there by week's lineup. I doubt it. But I mean, that would be ideal. But probably unlikely. So who knows how the league is going to do it?.

Chargers doctor punctured QB Tyrod Taylor's lung with pain-killing injection

"The Los Angeles Chargers now their team doctor. Accidentally want a puncturing quarterback Tyrod Taylor is lung. You guys see what I just said? The team doctor accidentally punctured Tyrod Taylor is long just before kickoff On Sunday. They're trying to administer a pain killing injection to his cracked ribs. That's according to Anthony Lynn, and we're going to hear from him in a second, but that's why he didn't start Sunday. And Justin Herbert came out there Look great, Really. He almost beat Mahomes and the Chiefs. But anyway, let's go to Anthony Lynn right now hear his comments about a team doctor, inflicting the damage on some quarterback. I'm not angry at all That happens, You know, Like I said, I can't go into details about it, but it was a complication with shot and you know no one's perfect. Don't think anyone in this zone is perfect, so it happens. But the doctor was a good man It'sjust unfortunate for that's Anthony Lynn there so now that I like Anthony lent by the way, just for the record that's for for over nine hours have been a little tough deal, though. Guys, it's a tough deal, and it puts him in a really tough situation like he's got a Defend kind of all parties involved, and through it all, he's not a boy. He's a better man than me. I'd be very upset. By the way. Justin Herbert will start again Sunday against Carolina

What happened was on Sunday Laura there was a great deal mystery as to why Justin Herbert started a game that nobody expected into start and what happened is that tyrod Taylor was dealing with cracked ribs to crack Ridley suffered in the opening week against the Bengals the chargers doctors gave me pain killer injection to numb the area right before the game and one of the doctors. Punctured. tyrod Taylor's loan. He had trouble breathing on the sideline. He went to the hospital that night doctors recommended that he shouldn't play this week. He couldn't play this week, and so he's dealing with a lung injury that he's recovering from. He's dealing with cracked ribs that he's recovering from an a short time ago Anthony Lynn made it official and said that Justin Herbert will start this week and it is a start that Herbert will know about in advance unlike last week's NFL debut.

The top waiver-wire pickups for Week 3 of fantasy football

"Tap waiver wire picked for me this week. Is going to be 40 Niners runningback Jerick. McKinnon makes sense. McKinnon is available currently in 73% of ESPN League, so widely available and with the most injury, coupled With Kevin Coleman also being gone for a couple of weeks. This seems like an opportunity for the big free agent signing for Kyle Shanahan Step up and have Ah productive week and at least for a couple of weeks. I think he's the at least for this week. I think he's definitely the best ad long term. Maybe not because most it will return. So if you're just looking for help for this week, maybe a couple of weeks. Jerick. McKinnon is your best bet this week on the planet Jets, other playing A. Who cares? The Giants there. Still, I stayed in New York and you look the Giants Steelers. The Bears have run the ball on the Giants, and they stayed in New York. They're playing the Giants, so I would think that that's they're going to try to ground and pound. This is saline advice is always from the update and grapple is positive, right? Like they think he's gonna play? Yes, Okay again, though, it's it's obviously Tuesday, so it's hard to say anything definitively. But my cannon is the top waiver wire pick up, especially If you're hurting at running back, and if you have sake one if he had most, sir, if you had McCaffrey, and now you're starting to Sergio. Look, Yorgos got to start Jamal Williams from crying out. I got Jamal waves in my story. You might be hitting your waiver wire to pick up Jack Kennedy on the can, For sure, he's gone in one of my All right. Who else? Hide Let me fire Rams running back. Donald Henderson was highly drafted. You have Malcolm Brown, who left last week's game with a finger injury, along with Who's the other Ocampa and left with a rib injury as well. So Darnell Henderson stepped in. I think I believe you had 80 total yards from scrimmage. So Donald Henderson is my second ad. He is available in 54% of leagues. 50 44. That's good Darnell game this week. Rams and Bill's about it to Owen omits to know that those of a good man, that's an exciting game. This's now I'll give you a couple of guys right here. One's more of a long term play. The other is going to be a better bet. Immediately, but probably not for the long term. Joshua Kelly, Los Angeles Chargers, he is it looks like he has stepped right into the Melvin Gordon roll from last season. Austin Heckler obviously, is the main running back that you want with the Chargers. Things were better. With Justin Herbert under center. It's undeniable. Tyrod Taylor comes back. I'm I'm not nearly as enthused, but I have a hard time believing Anthony Lynn is just going to give the ball back to Tyrod Taylor. If Justin Herbert continues to be productive, why

"The Los Angeles Chargers for season I guess that would is that really interest Brady I got I don't think so I do agree with you Ryan I do think it was related to so Jimmy Garoppolo I remember the story from Seth wicker sham I was before last year's AFC championship game I thought it was a very telling thing this is just my read on the situation I don't know I live in Kansas city Missouri I don't know but I'm is this this is my read on I've always thought that Bella check has been willing and ready to move on from players faster they Robert Kraft says and for the most part I think craft let's Belichick run the team how he wants to run the team but I think Tom's different and I think that Bella check was ready to move on the Jimmy Garoppolo and I think it was very clear in apparent in that building and Brady was unhappy about it which they made Robert Kraft unhappy about it and I think they had to choose and I think that shows Tom Brady which I think every organization when it shows Tom Brady I think James Brady away I'm not a big day drop below away based on his potential and what people thought he could be based on how NFL teams over pay for quarterbacks I think they gave garage floor away or very giveaway they traded him at a significant discount what would make you do something like that what do you think it was some stuff behind the scenes I think this is Brady's last year I think it's pretty clear from the physical aspect the Bradys done I do think that they're going to lose a draft pick based on what's happened with the cheating so they're going to have fewer resources to go improve the team I think this is it for Brady I think if your the New England so you know what was what is on your side I think if you were the NFL and you really want to stick it to the patriots for this cheating thing there's really only one thing to do that can potentially hurt the patriots long term so let's talk about that coming up.

"Times is this Los Angeles Chargers team they were the better team last night they were the better team in Oakland they've been the better team over and over this season and continue to lose by one score continue to turn the ball over and I know that the offense of line is riddled with injuries it is not the starting line that Philip rivers needs but holy hell I will say you didn't have the opportunity to listen the booger McFarlane last night on the on the Monday Night Football broadcasts he was saying something similar to that every time the charge make a great stop on defense they get a penalty every time they make a great pass they get a penalty like they were just shooting themselves in right what time of day they just beat themselves over and over and over again and I saw a tweet today from somebody who said my relationship with the Chargers is the most unhealthy relationship I've ever been in and I cannot agree more like yesterday in the fourth quarter I'm like I'm trying to psych myself up I'm like you don't care you don't care let's not care let's not care and then that shot to Mike Williams and I'm like well well that and I'm like this is a repeat of last year we were down fifteen in Kansas city or fourteen came back won the game with a Mike Williams touch down two point conversion walk off to conversion and it was the same thing last night were down fifteen and them and then we start to come back and we're driving and then all of a sudden pick you make picker send Hickey make it feel bad I felt really bad for Philip rivers because that's that's a tough it's a tough thing I mean I know it wasn't all his fault but a lot of it was his fault yeah and that's the route or letting your you know letting your team down like that is is is rough I mean he is put that team on his back time and time again and and that's what Melvin Gordon said last night something the effective we're gonna put him on our back and we're gonna go we're gonna play these these next five games or into our best and it's just sad when you see a season and in November you know for a for a team that was just talked about in the Superbowl conversation all offseason yeah and then enter into hold my homes it not run game I know Tyrese I'll was out but first half was on believe I it was it was watching that defense was so much fun so it's all right but what time you get home I'm going to the Niners Packers game this Sunday night or you really I decided to go to every prime time game this month I got home at five thirty two when I walked in the front door and I slept for a couple hours and here I am well you know it's gonna be a whole energy right now well I'm full of urine and vinegar yeah what I am all right Blake you know that little button also your hand on that I ate some questionable meets at the game last night so we get to the stadium we stayed in this really nice area like the Beverly hills of Mexico City and I.

"Pay him would you pay Melvin Gordon there is with the Los Angeles Chargers about a quite the same dire situation I think in in terms of their only being so much money to go around but the same salary cap still applies and the same question still have to be answered do you pay a running back the kind of money that he wants that he thinks he's worth knowing that that the it's a extremely likely the before the contract runs out his production any impact will have decreased there's always a chance you could end up with Adrian Peterson a Frank gore guys were still productive into their thirties there are others of course but the kind of money that you're paying them it's after hours on CBS sports radio Richard is in myrtle beach welcome thank you Amy I appreciate it listen to you every night if our Dallas and now it wants to sit out this year let him sit out and lose all that money once upon not mistaken out thank you I am troubled cop bounce with the wall so it's not like he's been perfect our Dallas I would pay the exact and I would pay Cooper it's hard to find a real good quarterback and I don't know Jack straw make wall primer not by the smart he's intelligent Jack where would you say it the quarterback about decorate yes ma'am yes ma'am okay I would pay him first I would bury Cooper parks Annabelle he wants to be this way and thank you for all that money then tell me have a nice vacation for the year because it's not that hard to find a decent running back that can help you and your quarterback but I do think they always give me and really stupid all what he wants and he hadn't been in the let them all know has good stats well that goes with running back though I mean you you're trying to get paid as quickly as possible because there's a limited shelf life for running backs it's not like a quarterback where you might get two more contracts that you know that our Max deals quote on quote I it's it's for running back today limited window where you need to get paid right away now the case of Elliott is unique because he still has two years left on his deal not it's not like he's in a contract year well and I'm a Redskins fan so it's hard to talk about balance but anyway that's what I would do it by our Dallas until Ellie have a nice year all and I take cares accu group because I think there are more important than what well it is and thank you for taking my call my love your show and all right Richard good to talk to you eight five five two one two four two two seven so I think the narrative it may even shift a little more depending on what happens with lavey on bell right so did you make the right choice that you make the wrong choice we don't actually know yet but the very least he says he feels great not many people bring up the David Johnson contract with the Arizona Cardinals that's not in doubt no last year their old line was terrible and and certainly without company quarterback which they didn't have they didn't have a head coach or a coaching staff who could really maximize what they had in terms of all but the personnel let's just be out as the whole thing was a complete never disaster but he has an average annual salary of thirteen million dollars thirteen million dollars come on you can tell it is production last year was worth thirty million dollars but he signed a three year contract to pay him thirteen million year and isn't a free agent again until twenty twenty two and so you got samples on both sides of the argument if you want to make the argument that running backs cycle through so quickly they are one injury away or you know one another difficult year with a lot of pounding away from kind of dropping off the cliff maybe it's not that drastic but you just see the production go down it really is a gamble you're rolling the dice you're pressing your luck how far can you press it before it comes back to bite you yeah that's me as much as I think Ezekiel Elliott is is a great running back and the numbers have been there you already know what you're going to have to pay your quarterback roughly we know the impact Amari Cooper had when he joined them if you're forcing me to make the choice the if you're forcing me to I'll give you that ten million a year which is not what he wants but you still have a contract for two more seasons and we've got some other priorities and then you you cross your fingers and you hope that it works out the way that it did for steelworkers and the ones in Detroit welcome to after hours into one eight five five two one two four two two seven that's our line or you can find me on Twitter a law radio also on our Facebook page we'll get to your your responses in and some of you were sending me walk up music and some of you were sending me your thoughts on the running back situation so it's a good mix of the healthy mix plus your questions for asking me anything sort out about twenty minutes away so just check out Twitter and Facebook.

"About the Los Angeles. Chargers will report the next hour. I can't tell you that rather. I can tell you that the somebody wearing chargers gear had the living crap beat out of them in that stadium. It was tweeted out by someone who was on the upper ring, whatever he called the three hundred level there in Baltimore and a altercation broke out between a ravens fan and a chargers San and by the by the light it look at it was first half. Because I mean it got dark during the second half. But anyways, the police came and broke it up. We have no further information whether or not it was someone actually from L A or someone who's to say charger fan in in the wrong place with the wrong crowd at the with the right score. Well, Whittier we lay our scene you heard. Gosh, pay talking about this. But there's still more questions. It was a Sunday like any other Sunday only this time at Whittier a man arrested earlier today on suspicion. He murdered a woman that had been his longtime partner, but who had disappeared a week ago. She was found. Wrapped in plastic. Tape duct tape under some packages on on the back seat of a car in the driveway of the residents at eighty seven hundred block of orange street. This is nine five this morning. According to deputy diangelo Robinson. The woman believed to beat her forties was according to neighbors and the man his longtime partner the man Louis Ray, Jimenez, Jimenez, hyphenated is under arrest. Deputies made the discovery during a welfare check on the woman who lives or live Ed at the location deputy Tracy Kerner said the suspect who had been the woman's partner for eighteen plus years told authorities the woman had left a week ago. And he didn't know where she went. So deputies said, well, then you won't mind if we look around he did not object. A woman's body was found bound with tape and plastic covered covered with various packages in a vehicle parked in the driveway. According to the spokesperson the preliminary examination said that she suffered blunt force trauma to her head. It was determined that the man killed the woman in a fit of rage. According to the Lieutenant the woman's name was withheld pending notification of next of kin he'll be arraigned on Tuesday at downing superior court. But here here is what we know that she had been in that state for a week. She'd been wrapped in plastic dead body accede was car for a week. So what what what was going through? This guy's mind. I say this possibly he was so drunk that. He did all this. He forgot. If I were him, and I'm not, and if I were his lawyer I'd start thinking about that. But we don't know. But whatever his plan was evidently was taking its time. Because if he didn't get rid of that body soon, it was going to be shall we say? Painfully obvious where the body was. And if he was planning a disposing of the body he didn't do it didn't do within a week. Mill was kinda chilly. Yeah. I July might have happened earlier. Yeah. So I suppose, you know, we're here in the in the December January. So it was as been going down to the fifties and sixties, but still, you know, a car, and I wonder if the windows role rolled up, but I the guy probably knows that if the if the body had disappeared that she had she been gone. He would have been the prime suspect. And there was no mentioned that whoever's checking the agency checking on the day smelled something I they just opened the door. And then it was probably pretty obvious. Yeah. But no, she. Yeah. Of the car. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so the welfare check we don't know who who after the welfare check. But I would assume usually in these cases, it's a close relative who hadn't heard from her and it had been a week. And so police come without any bias or presuppositions and a little bit of questioning, and they discovered this. So so there's that you never know what's down the street from you. The when we come back the guy. This is the weirdest thing to hit and run the killed the woman and her seven year old daughter last week. We if you watch the local news, you saw the guy leave Orange County jail with his shirt off sort of hiding his face, and they let him go for lack of evidence. He wasn't charged. He's been rearrested. So we'll get to that here in just a second. And also next break who was not at officer. Ron sings funeral. We'll give you the answer. And instead of just shutting the hell up and letting officer sing be be buried with with honor by his family and his co workers Jerry Brown had to chime in right in the closing hours of the Brown. Gubernatorial regime, he had to chime in about the status of the killer of Ron singing illegal alien, multiple DUI is multiple warrants for the guy for violent crimes, but whatever molested to that guy being in this state, Jerry Brown is going to tell you what it was not and. Then he'll retire. We'll be back right after this. It is super hyper local Sunday Bryan suits in here until ten pm KFI AM, six forty more stimulating talk. Michael should pay with news.
