Greg, what do you have today for a question? Well, I was going to pull a question, but one thing that I talking about the Super Bowl, you know, I'm sure people want to know what I thought of the officiating in the Super Bowl. So I figured out, of course, yeah. You're typically someone who doesn't go here though, but I guess you have to have. No, and I'm not. And I'm really not. I do think that I do think that the call on Logan Wilson, which I did not like. That was not holding. It was a bad pass. I do think though it was a makeup call for the play before. I thought that the check down to Henderson, he had no chance. A Pratt who played an excellent game. I thought both Cincinnati linebackers Pratt and Wilson played awesome games. They were incredible in this game. I thought that Pratt completely held Henderson and there should have been a flag on that play. And they should have had a first down there. I do think that that was a makeup call. Wilson and what's also interesting is that on the next play, which was the offsetting place. If I remember correctly, it was they called the right tackle havenstein for holding and then there was a hit in the back of the end zone. The holding call Brennan watching it on the coach's film, first of all, wasn't holding. Certainly not at that point in the game it wasn't holding. But the guy who threw the flag was Ron.

"The Logan Wilson hold was that was a little bit dicey. It was a makeup call. Yes. Which is why I'm comfortable with it. And look, the biggest play of the game before that was the missed offensive pass interference slash face mask on T Higgins on the play that broke open the game to start the second half. Yeah. So I would say that I would say it evened out. Do I have a problem with overall cadence? Maybe a little bit, right? Because you called X number. I think it was four penalties total up until that point. And then it was four on that drive alone. And I think the four before that were almost all false start delay of gamey kind of things if I'm remembering that correctly. I might be hallucinating. But I think that's, I think that's what it was. Yeah, a couple of personal foul calls. There was the personal foul. And then one of the Bengals offensive lineman picked up a personal foul after a third down. He swung it. Okay. But I think it was condensed in that moment and you're never going to have a perfect performance officiating wise. And I don't blame them for almost officiating like a big east college basketball crew for three quarters and just letting people knock each other around and then in the fourth quarter being like, oh man, you know, we better get a handle on this before it gets messy before I'm trying to reference a big east player that you would know. We're a little bit different here as. I mean, how far back do you want to go? You want to go like Donnie Marshall of the Yukon huskies? Not done yell, but Donnie. See my fingers aren't as fast now. I can't bet on the Vikings anyway. I just can't do it. I can't. And you think like, so basically, Greg Joseph, he made us all that money and we too feel and then the Vikings took it back from us. So we're basically not even with the Vikings. I'm out. I didn't even consider betting on biking steroids. God only knows what's going to happen in that weird game. But both of us love Cincinnati. Love. Cincinnati plus one and a half at home against the niners, the niners, there's a lot of good Devo advance stuff with them. They're 7th in dva, which doesn't match up with what I'm watching when I actually watch them. Since these 19th the DVA, debo is still out. He might play. He might play. They hated the way that game went down. I think they come out. And it was interesting. This game originally was a 1 o'clock game, and then they started messing with the times. It's interesting things. It's a four 30 game in Cincinnati. It's dark. It's going to be awful. And that might favor the forty-niners. It could, but I'd always take a tough home team that can run the ball. And I think the Bengals like this is to me burrow with 9 fingers is like, I'm going to lead us to victory. We're going to get one. I would like if this was since minus two and a half I would like it. So their game behind Baltimore Baltimore's 8 and four 67 and 5 Cleveland is 6 and 6. There's a world in which Baltimore loses their 8 and 5 since he wins their 8 and 5. Cleveland wins their 7 and 6. And that just that AFC north keeps going and going. My guess is that's the division that delivers us the four seat. And if the Pats can hold serve, which seems pretty conceivable because they only have one conference loss, they would really have to shit the bed down the stretcher. That's probably gonna be buffalo. And that's gonna be buffalo against the AFC north thing. Because I think that with Tennessee schedule, they're probably gonna be the three seats. I think they're gonna be okay ten. Stare at it. Yeah. And so that's Baltimore or cincy or Cleveland hosting Josh Allen, which I think is a nice spot for the bills. We just wrote off 20 minutes, but they can win those games though. They can win that game, you know? All right, so we're marking down cincy. By the way, plus ten plus one and a half. Yeah, that's, I like that. Do we want to make it bigger or are we happy with this? No, we're working it down. We're going to come back on it. Let's talk browns ravens though. Okay. I think we're split on this. Brown's favored by two and a half over the ravens to take Cleveland. DVO is about even. My theory in the ravens and my angle on this bet, I'm going to try to talk you into it because Baker Mayfield is involved and I think he stinks as to you. Does he think because he's injured? He's think regardless. Is he a good quarterback? No, I can't believe they're not playing Casey Keenum. I don't understand it. "I know, if you look at the sheet, you're like, wow, they didn't do very much to get pressure on Trevor Lawrence. The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback. They had a ton of pressure on Big Ben Big Ben's an idiot who holds on the ball way too long and this would not let him play die would not check the ball down. Big Ben is infuriating. And the Bengals are made his life made his life very difficult and week three, but if you look at the box score, you're like, well, the Bengals defensive line, they didn't have a single sack. The only sack was what's his name Wilson, the linebacker. So here's the thing. Trevor Lawrence was running around with keeping plays alive, and he had to leave the pocket constantly because of the pressure that the Bengals defensive line got. And this Bengals defensive line is making a big impact. There was a play, they stopped Jacksonville on fourth and goal from the one yard line, and that stop was the difference in the game. Cincinnati won by three points. If they give up a touchdown there on fourth and goal, ball game over. Shout out to this Bengals defense. They're great. I'm very impressed with them. And the events of line. I knew they were good, but I knew that Sam Hubbard was good. I knew that trae hendrickson was good. BJ hill can sample these guys are emerging and you're like, dude. They're so deep. It's crazy. Now Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson this guy is having an unbelievable stretch of games. In the last three games, Logan Wilson has 33 tackles, three interceptions in a sec, a sack on Trevor Lawrence last night. Do you understand that Logan Wilson last year as a rookie? In 12 games, had 33 tackles, he's had that many tackles in three games this year..

"The Cardinals beat the Vikings 34 to 33. Dang it, man. The Vikings kicker, Greg Joseph, missed the game when he field goal. It was a 37 yarder at the end of the fourth quarter. And of course, I reacted that way because I praised Iraq Joseph so much the other day. For hitting the game tying 53 yard field goal at the end of regulation last week against Cincinnati, not once but twice because of the coach calling a field gold ice. And I was like, hey, Craig Joseph, you know, balls of steel. He won't be deterred. He's not going to be made nervous by any situation. He's really, really great in any situation. Clearly, because he hit a 53 yard field goal twice, and I thought Minnesota Ed found a clutch kicker. And I guess not because the dude made me look silly. And the Vikings kicker missed the game winner. It's just like, oh man, that's barely longer than extra point. And you missed it. It's like, of course. Right after I praise the guy, he does terrible. I didn't curse him none of that crap. I don't believe in that stuff. And certainly, if anyone is going to curse, when it's not me on my tiny show, but just a whole man. Now, the cardinals are two and O, good for them. The cardinals by the Jaguars next week that looks like 18 that's going to be three O after week three of the cardinals will. The Vikings are all in two, though, and the Vikings place the Seahawks next and then the Cleveland Browns. So the next two games are really, really tough for Minnesota, and they might have a bad start to the year where they it's very possible Minnesota starts zero and four. Maybe I think at minimum, one in three, but it's very possible that two weeks from now we're talking about a zero and four Minnesota Vikings team that is in a really, really bad situation with a team that is very much underperforming. Number 6, the bears beat the Bengals 20 to 17 and the Andy Dalton revenge storyline was that one I was really hyping up all week. It's Andy Dalton against his former football team the Cincinnati Bengals. Let's see what happens. And well, it was underwhelming. He left the game early with a knee injury. And rookie quarterback Justin Fields played the entire second half for the bears at quarterback. He did enough to win in a nice throw to Darnell Mooney one that set up a field goal. You also had an interception, he got fooled by a linebacker dropping Logan Wilson dropped underneath and he tried to throw an under route and got picked off at Logan Wilson. He's a rookie. No worry. I thought Justin Fields all things considered would not knowing it was going to play and in a tight game doing enough to win. That's a win. If you're a bears fan, you're like, okay, hey, had a pick, but whatever, like, we won the football game, and Justin Fields played good enough for that to happen. So you gotta be happy if you're a bears.

We've got to run that again running on Aaron, get it right and Glad they did because worked out in the game. Right? Right, right? Yeah. 32 Yard play, man. That was that was a big play a lot of big plays in this football game. Are you? Are you a big fan of football? Did you watch Sunday Night? Football? Too Juicy. The Chicago Bears only you just chill a little bit. I was chilling. I was with the family. You know, I just wanted to kick with them have seen a few of them in a while. So right. I just wanted to, you know, Take my mind off football. Dima. I went to work got the job done, and that that day yesterday and No. I just want to take my mind off football for a while and just relax the way the game ended up and and the way you had to fight. You know, you have a 14 point lead that goes away. It's tied at the gun. Then you guys go all of overtime and one of the gun and I think that's first time that's ever happened. The NFL two plays Final play of regulation final play of overtime to you know, determine the outcome of the game. The Reaction to adversity, the grinding of having to go through what you went through the emotional ups and downs and all that. Do you think that's going to play better for you Long term all season long? Definitely we see what it feels like to be in a dogfight the whole game. You know what you say, 70 minutes and I mean, it's just we see what we need to work on. We see, we need to do so. You know, I noticed him in practice, You know, just watching him practice and kicking the ball. I'm like, man. This guy has a leg. He's so accurate. Yeah, and for him coming in And in a big game open season, opening his first game and him winning the game for us. We're all the pressures on him is unbelievable on his part, you know, you know it shows. How much he's working his work ethic and That's going to be great for sure. And this dude hit from 53. Then he you know he wins it on a 33 yard, I think was and like you, said, t. I mean, he kicks him long, But they're straight isn't arrow They don't fade. They don't hook there just straight as an arrow. Crazy? Yeah. Or you had a hell of a rookie year. And, uh, build on that The Bengals were blessed. "He's relatively new. It seems like he's been here for half a year. We got guys that have come in and and just bought into the culture. We got tray and a bunch of guys. Riley Riley is like my best friend and I love that guy. Um, it's just a culture thing, and it's something again. It's It's kind of like little league. You know, you're in here. You're with your boys are having a good time. You hit the practice field. You're grinding. You come back in your boys again. So, um, it really is a different culture going on here. Dave Talking with C J. You, Sam and Dave. I think he kind of gets lost in the shuffle. We certainly have spent a lot of time talking about Joe Burrow and his comeback and Trey Hopkins in his comeback. I think maybe some people forget just what CJ has gone through to get back to this point Tours Achilles. You know, I mean, that's a tough injury, tough injury to come back from rehab from and he played well blocked well. They used them as a full back on occasion as a lead blocker in that regard. In the course of fourth and Scotch 32 Yard reception was a massive play in the football game. But you're right, Joe Burrow from the A. C L M c, l and even a Little PCL. The terrible triad little damage their reconstruction that need to play like he played. Trey Hopkins struggled a little bit, Uh, the Minnesota Vikings did a good job of isolating him one on one and protections on Pierce. Pierce beat him a couple of times for sacks very rare for Trey Hopkins to give up two sacks. This scheme of the Vikings was very, very sharp, very smart, obviously. And, uh and then CJ Asama Joe Mixon coming back from injury to play like he played so Nick Cosgrave and all the guys in charge of the rehab of all these players take about because a lot of your rehab patients came back and performed exceptionally well right away, and we've got about a minute. And while the Bengals may not feature the tight end as much as other teams do, and they've got Joe Burrow and mix it in the trio of wide receivers. There is still a place for and ineffectiveness to be used with with CJ. Use Almond Andrew sample that that can be a weapon. Still. Well, what happened? Uh, got the Vikings defense off kilter a little bit. Bengals came out Joe Burrow under center running the football with two tight ends. And and the Minnesota Vikings were expecting three wives They were not expecting. You know, 12 personnel one running back to tight ends. That's room for a little bit of loop, particularly with Joe Bar Owners Center. And in the kind of, uh that was a wise move the way they wanted to run the ball with the frequency. They want to do it, then play action off the boots and things like that nature at all kind of mesh together very well. And it took the Minnesota Vikings a little while to adjust the little wrinkles and nuances that the Bengals had course The Vikings had theirs as well. And we'll talk about some of those still ahead. So obviously a guy who is just you know does does a lot of things that you hope for out of out of a wide receiver in does them well and just you know continues to fly under the radar. But here's what bff's about blood slot. Receiver is one of the most valuable Positions on the field in boyd has grown into one of the. Nfl's top player at that position over the past three years since two thousand eighteen is run the third most route from the slot. In his one of the league's ten highest graded players on those reps. Boyd's fifty-one explosive Receptions of fifteen plus yards from the slot lead the league in that span. And i think you're gonna see especially as borough tries to get back comfortable on the offense especially as dramatic as kinda finds his his niche and and hopefully finds finds his hands a little bit there. i think you're gonna see some of these security blanket type of plays across the short intermediate. Move the sticks type of place to boyd to asana maybe sample. But some of these Higgins is well you know and some of these guys he has some rapport with especially as imagine. Baroque comes back from the injury. Things are trying to click on offense. I think you're gonna see tyler boyd. Especially in the beginning of the year as a kind of a big featured guy in the offense but who knows. We'll see but named as one of the most underrated all underrated team make all underrated team. Thirty percent of cincinnati's defensive snaps was all he played And then you see here defensive. Lou defensive coordinator lunar romo said davis gaythers had a hell of a camp. I can't see him not out there performing some role at some point making plays just because he's had such a great camp is a tireless worker. He's at a really great camp wet. So the question is you know. What are they gonna ask him to do in your to wear. Will he play Is he gonna play more in space. He was a very able pass rusher at appalachian state off the edge in situational pass rush plays so he may be a guy that they do a little bit of that. Ask as more of that this year. He may be guy that they do something else with You know playing a little bit in space. Maybe a little rover because he's athletic but a guy that You know. I think i think could could do some things if you remember. He and logan wilson combined to drop. I think like three or four interceptions. Just them last year at at linebacker spot So i mean i think those were in know to two plus different games that those three or so interceptions. That were dropped place so think about that if they're able to corral even most of those half of those whatever and what that would do in terms of win-loss records to turning the tide in a game all that kind of stuff. Marissa what a year it has been for Angles and for football, That's certainly write box you look at, you know 2020 as a whole for Aziz difficult and unusual as a year that we've had. There has been a lot of good that that's happened with the Bangles. I mean, starting off looking back things in January when they were down there coaching the Senior bowl and, you know, getting a couple of key guys with Logan Wilson and Akeem Davis gator that came out of that that They're now Bangles. I mean, I think that you're started off pretty strong when you look it, um you know them starting Tomo value a talent and then I mean, of course, rolling right into the draft, and obviously getting the guy in Joe burrow, but but not just burrow box and you look at the rest of the stretch class. You know, I think the Bangles really did a nice job and they hit where they needed to hit When you look at tea, Higgins And the season that he has been having guys like you know who came and energy having to, you know, get some start stepping up when he needs to. So you know, looking on early in the year and then, of course, the unusual off season with covert and NFL protocols and everything changing. Just never expecting to have to navigate that the way that they did with having virtual camps and virtual meetings and not getting as much face to face time as there usually used to box you know, it was interesting in that, you know, you knew the pandemic was upon us, but then, as it started become more prevalent in the day to day Factors of how we lived and operated football just took on a whole different dimension, especially even for us. I mean, you know, we were usually close to the players, and now we're on the scaffolding. We everybody's wearing the alert systems, and it just was a new brand of football. It really was. Yeah. You mentioned with the trackers and getting tested on a daily basis and Just every every little thing that you kind of might have taken for. Granted in the usual year was just so different in this type of year. But you know, you really have to give a lot of props and credit, Tomo not only the training staff and the coaches and the rest of the staff here who had to really alternate plans and and the way they used to go out of business toe change into the environment. That kind of we've grown accustomed to now, over the last 456 months here. But faction to another Really great thing that had come out of 2020 is the inspired change movement with the NFL, and you know, having those difficult conversations and you know, bringing a more just and equal You know, lifestyle to not only here in Cincinnati, but really making it across the country, and you know, it all started when the Bangles marched over to the Freedom Center. Earlier this summer and really making it known that black lives do matter and wanting to do more through the P C. I C and partnering with black owned to create the stripes don't come easy campaign, So there's really been ah lot in the community and equality and you know injustice that's really come out of this year. You know that's a great point, and I did pick up my black owned stripes don't come easy Apparel looking forward to sporting that, but I think all in all one of the other things that sticks out for me this year was the improved on. I'm going to say a Pro bowl play of Jesse Bates, even though he did make the Pro Bowl. I think Jesse Bates really solidified himself as a player in this league. I could not agree more with you. I think that was one of the biggest Pro bowl snubs of the year and you just look at his statistical numbers. He's right up there with the best safeties in the league and You also look at what I'll see he does on the field that's not necessarily gets marked down as a stat. I just cannot believe he was not a Pro Bowl selection this season, but it is really great to see the strides that he has taken. In year. Three. Um and you know, this can't wait to see what he's gonna do in your four then. Right, Right, right. My last reflects their 2020 is finally beating the Pittsburgh steals. That was That's definitely one of the highlights here in tow and the 2020 season and not just Eating them Box on Monday night, but the way they beat them having to have that next man up mentality yet again, Prime time and the fact that because of Cove it and the pandemic we can't have a full house here, Paul Brown Stadium. Fans were electric for that game. It was such a fun environment in a fun atmosphere. And, you know, talking about getting that went to that get some when MO mentum going into Houston and now into this week, and you know, ending the season on the right note. No question.
