We're living in the georgia's oil wells and you know that stuff and go on about twitch being too heavy handed and you know this is something that people love to talk about a lot is platforms. Be too heavy handed. When i mean really to any of the platform censor anything at this point. But i think actually the lesson we can take from. This is different and a lot sadder which is that. If twitch feels the need to censor words that are similar to slurs which of course are themselves band as you would expect probably means that people are trying to use similar words to get around that initial ban right I actually saw quite interesting to talk about this recently. So you know. Take this with a pencil. Because i am just literally citing tick talk. But it was a someone who's interested in tech and they were talking about how instagram and these platforms will ban. You know explicitly bad or dangerous times. Then often people will just slightly amend the terms or come up with an obscure spelling for the tom. And actually that makes these terms harder and harder to motari and to censor because it's a lot harder for the machine to automatically find them. It's a lot harder for human moderators to track them down because unless they happen to sort of see them and work them out. They can't connect the dots that someone is trying to be offensive or trying to send people into certain rabbit hole. So i think you know. I don't think this is an example of twitch guy too far over the have a lot of sympathy for my other. Her name unfortunately happens to rub up against the system Maybe they could make some specific exception for her name. Because that is. I do feel sorry full. But the lesson here isn't so much that twitch has just gone mad and decided to start censoring everything. The lesson is kind of a much sadder lesson there are people out there who are pretty dedicated to saying some offensive horrible things and The more that they branch out trying to do that unfortunately the more random phrases are going to get caught up in the net so we could cycle right back and say you know if you want to put a solve this issue you just need people to stop being so goddamn racist all the time Which would solve many problems so that would be today's lesson let's to solve all the world's problems and that's a pretty good lesson for me and for that wisdom.
