Tony W. Bravely Shares His Story of Addiction
"Today on the podcast we welcome Tony W. a food addict in recovery. Welcome Tony. Tony W. Thank you so much Susan. Great to be here. Esther Helga Yeah, it's great to have you here. I'm going to introduce you and then we'll get into some questions. Tony W. is a food addict in a food recovery program whose weight reached as high as 464 pounds. Today after getting into the Bright Line Eating Program, Susan Pierce Thompson's program in May of 2019 after he read her book when his weight was 381, in one year he released 150 pounds on the Bright Line Eating Program, BLE. Susan Pierce Thompson has written several books. I've read two and we hosted her on the podcast and that podcast will have come out before Tony's. She has another book coming out in October which is a daily inspirational book so look for that and we'll put in our notes the links to these books and Susan's website. The ones I read are called Bright Line Eating, The Science of Living Happy, Thin and Free and her most recent one is Resume, The Powerful Frame, The Powerful Reframe to End the Crash and Burn Cycle of Food Addiction. Tony read the Bright Line Eating book and it has changed his life. So welcome again Tony. Tony W. Thank you so much. I read about you in Susan Pierce Thompson's book and she recommended you as a guest on the podcast. I have read your blogs and watched your interview on Facebook with Susan and you and I had a pre podcast session and really looking forward to having you share your story of struggles with food and food addiction and how you recovered and what life is like now. So let's start. I'd like to hear your story. I know a little bit about it but I'd like you to tell the listeners you're like me you've had some past issues with other addictions, alcohol in my case and you had alcohol and drugs. Talk about the time in your life when you got clean and sober and then you were also like me you replaced alcohol and drugs with going to food. Tony W. Right. So my story is that I always felt different even as a child, was bullied and then what I found out actually much later you know a lot of people in 12 step recovery programs for alcohol and drugs probably started a lot younger than I did but I didn't start till I was a junior in high school and what I found was it made me feel normal for the first time and able to fit in and be a part of and it worked for a while until it didn't. So I didn't really, the food part of it for me is something that's maybe unlike a lot of other food addicts in that I was a skinny kid growing up. I wasn't really heavy or overweight so eventually though it caught up to me. Yeah, I was a skinny kid too. It really wasn't until I was 14, 15 that I started to gain weight and using food. I used food as a kid but I was active enough that my weight was normal. So tell me about the alcohol, drug addiction in your life and getting clean and sober. Tony W. Yeah, well it started out as partying on the weekends and hanging out with friends and pretty soon though it became how I dealt with life, how I felt normal. It started out with alcohol, then I was bringing vodka to school in 11th grade and then at lunchtime I would go across the street and get some orange juice and have a screwdriver in 5th period and I'm like, don't all 17 year olds do this? No, they don't actually. But it led to other drugs and actually the reason I started doing drugs because for a tall big guy I could not hold my liquor and so I started doing drugs that allowed me to drink more and it wasn't a good idea. That led to a lot of problems in my life and it really only came to a head when I realized I was in trouble and I needed help and when I went to my first 12 step program for alcohol was in 1991.

"Party and it was even more bothersome about this whole thing is we had this debate last night and gavin newsome look like it was going to be the nominee by the way look like a complete zero a total zero now i don't really care in the primary where you stand okay it's totally up to you everybody's welcome here there's a said angry very short it's part of the political aisle i've had to just completely block and cut out of my life but i don't hold any ill all towards any other candidates in the campaign i don't because i'm a conservative i don't worship politicians unlike some of other these people it's guy if you're worshiping anyone tromp or de santis a year i'm sorry you're lost you should be respecting the ideas of conservatism which is ironically one of the reasons i supported trump last everybody's like oh he said this he said okay what did he do okay he did x y and z it's the same reason i supported santas de for governor of florida yeah i don't like him he's grubby well what did he do that's all i care about don't you don't fall in love with these guys fall in love with outcomes any outcome last night don't i care where you stand is the republican party in the conservative movement won that debate hands down it's not even close by no serious objective measure to gavin newson not come out of that looking like a total loser and may you say i saw a couple people in my chat we had a good crowd this morning in a podcast but a couple folks said oh i don't care i'm supporting trump uh you should care uh you should care because gavin newson is most likely going to be the nominee folks joe biden is not going to be the nominee is it possible yes i'd be stunned he is not going to be the nominee this to you this i thought was the moment of the night listen i've said this on the air multiple times if you're a p1 you know you you know know i did dave some of you get that if you're gonna debate because i've done it many times i've run three times for office if you're gonna debate you gotta bring a prop on stage peep not a stupid prop like a rubber chicken or something like although that could work too it depends we have a tough time stuffing that in your pocket bring a prop whoever winds up winning the republican nomination if you do not bring a copy of the 40 check to joe biden that allegedly originated from the chinese communist party dependent on uh you know depending how on much information comes out in the coming days we've got a lot more coming out if you don't bring a copy of that check on stage you should be guilty of political malpractice and immediately thrown off the stage and banned from the party people long of that props the santas team understood the assignment last night this is em on stage this at this polls out the i'd like to use a different word just says it's not okay though because i thought friday's and whatever uh... this is let's call it the feces map for the city of san francisco where gavin newson was the mayor and hilarious the thing about this for a case so friends who know this is this is real there's an actual map uh... of how to navigate around human waste in the city of san francisco the santas whips the actual map out this was i think his moment of the night check this out when looking at total time a government is about this is this is a map of san francisco there's a lot of plots on that you may be asking what is that plotting well this is an apt where they plot the human feces that are found on the streets of san francisco you see how almost the whole whole thing is covered because that is what has happened in one of the previous greatest cities this country's ever had human feces is now a fact of life except when a communist dictator comes to town then they cleaned up the streets they lined the streets with chinese flag he's not

These GOP Primary Numbers Are Not Favorable...
"Worth watching. And it's But the hard reality is this primary, the numbers right now are not favorable. And they're not favorable because Karl as Rove, who would love him or hate him, wrote the Wall Street Journal this week, you know, Rove has an interest in not getting Trump elected. Rove doesn't like Trump. He just doesn't. It's obvious. I read his stuff in The Wall Street Journal because I want to see what everybody's saying, not just people I agree with. And Rove brought up the point that I I think think it was Rove, but they got to get to Amano Amano. There's got to be like a one on one. If any of these men or women, Nikki Haley, Vivek or DeSantis, who are really the only three contenders seriously left, if any of them are to have a chance, they got to get to a one on one. And there's no reason for any of them to drop out. Folks, put yourself in their shoes. The donor wants one guy or woman. And they think that in a one on one, they've got a shot against Trump. I don't agree. I think Trump right now is kind of running away with it to the point where pluralities and majorities are going to be there in pretty much every state. However, I don't think primaries are a bad thing. And I think a one on one, obviously, math pure would give that person or man a better shot. No diggity, no doubt. The problem is, put yourself in their shoes. If you're Nikki Haley, why are you going to drop out? You're currently running number two in New Hampshire. If you're Nikki Haley, you're in the back room in a smoke filled room with a bunch of donors going, screw that, let that guy drop out, DeSantis. But if you're DeSantis, you're looking at the Haley donors going, well, why would I drop out? I'm number two in Iowa. Right? Well, why not Vivek? Folks, Vivek is worth 100 plus million dollars. A Young Fire Spouse's Journey With Her Husband's Cancer Diagnosis
"A few episodes back we sat down with Diane Carter and she shared her story of her husband's line of duty, panther diagnosis, and her relentless pursuit of making turnouts safe and just exploring PFAS and all that fun stuff about exposure in the workplace. If you haven't listened to that podcast, we definitely recommend it. And today we actually have another first responder spouse, Brittany San Pedro with us to share her story about her husband's line of duty cancer diagnosis. Brittany, welcome. Thank you for having me. Brittany San Pedro is a speech therapist assistant, wife to a firefighter and a mom. She has been with her husband for 10 years and has an 18 month old and another one on the way. In late October of 2019, Brittany's husband at the age of 30 and 10 years into his career noticed a small lump on his collarbone. After several tests, he was diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was the first line of duty cancer diagnosis in the history of Greeley fire department. Since then, many changes to screening and early detection have been made as a department. As a result, several malignant polyps, skin samples and ultrasound readings have potentially saved the lives of other firefighters within the department. Today, Brittany is sharing her story to help anyone who may feel alone or scared, especially after a health diagnosis. She also wants to encourage change and promote the importance of regular screenings and early detection. Okay. So tell us your story a little bit, the whole thing. We want to hear it. My husband came home one day and just kind of mentioned like, Hey, I got out of the shower at work and I just noticed I had a bump on my collarbone. And he's like, you know, I haven't had my yearly physical. I'm going to go in, have it checked out. And you know, none of us, we weren't really worried. And we were just kind of like, okay, he has a bump. We're going to go check it out. And his general practitioner ran blood work and then started him on antibiotics thinking it was just an infection. His body was fighting something and blood work came back fine. It didn't go down with the antibiotics. At that point, they did an X -ray. Everything looked fine. The blood work looks fine. And his general practitioner asked him what he did for a living. And you know, you fill out that survey, you tell him what you do. And he's like, you know what? We're going to, we're going to keep going. We're going to keep looking. If you're fine with that. You're a firefighter. It just makes me sit better if I, if I keep digging a little bit. And he kept going in for appointments. He then got an ultrasound done. After the ultrasound, he scheduled an appointment for a biopsy to have it looked at. And at this point we hadn't even heard the word cancer yet. I at the time was a special education teacher at a school across the street from the hospital where he was having the biopsy done. He texted me and let me know he was going in. He was super nervous. I let my co -teacher know, Hey, my husband doesn't usually have his feelings out like that. And lets me know that he's there. He's like, that's fine. Go. I ran across the street and he went back. Everything was fine. He came back out and then he just had this look on his face that I'll never forget his eyes started welling up with tears. And I guess the doctor who performed the doctor tech who performed the biopsy, you know, before his doctor had a chance to say anything told him, yeah, this is pretty typical for lymphoma. And both of us were just kind of like, what is happening? What's going on? We were hit by a bus. We didn't even know that this is something that they were looking for. And we called our closest friends, our little mini fire family. And we were like, Hey, we need support tonight. And in a minute, everybody was together at one of our friends house and everybody was just talking trash about the guy who stepped out of his scope of practice and said some things he maybe shouldn't have. And we were like, it's not going to happen. He's too young. He's healthy. There's no way. So a couple of days went by, we got a phone call saying that the doctor wanted us to come in, even though it was his day off and usually not a great sign. So we were a little nervous going in. And then when we sat down, he let us know that they, they did find it to be Hodgkin's lymphoma and that they needed to start figuring out what stage he was at coming up with a plan, trying to figure out everything. And we were both strong until they asked us, you know, are you guys, you guys are young. You guys just got married, just bought a house. Like you, are you guys wanting to start a family at some point? And I just started bawling because I already knew what was coming. And he said, I recommend that you reach out to a fertility specialist, if that's something that you would want to do. And you start reaching out to all your resources. And we did, after that, he started chemo in like less than a week. It was probably like four or five days. And he had chemo, he had it on Christmas. He had it, like he started in November, had it for about six months and then took a little bit of a break and then started radiation. And then after he went through radiation, his end date was March 14th, 2020. And then right after that, the next day the world shut down, but it was just, you know, for us, it was just amazing because he never, we never went to an appointment alone. It was just such a somber time. We were just had this dark cloud of stress and not knowing and anything. And at the same time when it was so dark, such a beautiful thing, because we had the department bringing rigs and down we packed that cancer center and, you know, we had some of his best friends, like his best man and another Lieutenant was there at every single one of his chemo appointments. And, you know, everybody kind of band together for him. It was kind of, it was a beautiful thing to see everybody supporting each other and making sure that he was never alone. You know, the Terry Farrell Fund reached out right away. You know, they did a cut it for cancer for him. It was just something that they hadn't ever experienced before at the, this department. And we were, we were just kind of overwhelmed with all the support that we had,

Liberals Outraged by Children Surviving Cancer
"Well i read an article this weekend in the wall street journal and it was great and the reason i read it because i usually read the op -ed column and i'll go through the what's new section but that's really it then i go over to other sites but this one really piqued my interest it says good news on children and cancer i was like wow i gotta read this because i'm my afraid kids may god forbid hope they don't have this gene and the article is amazing it talks about how the death rate for leukemia which is the most common childhood cancer is down 47 percent in 20 years like my gosh that's amazing brain even brain cancer down 11 percent i'm i'm reading this article i want you to understand through not through a political lens at all i'm reading it it'll make sense in a second where i'm going with this but i'm reading this as a concerned person who had this disease and for a concerned parent too and i'm halfway down the article and i'm thinking to you know this is amazing and it hits me again how bad liberals really suck in what a cancer article by kids yes folks you're sane in the audience can we all agree what i just told you is a universally good thing kids death rates from cancer are down dramatically because of scientific advancements roy you're in the audience like who would object to that liberals no yes no yes come on yes no wait yes yes they're upset why because the same liberals that want to censor you bankrupt you put you in jail charge you with terrorism to walk into an open door in the capital fired from your job why you declared a nazi because you made a comment one day about twitter about liking donald trump they're upset because quote progressives are flogging the cancer reports finding that racial disparities in cancer deaths have increased mortality rates roughly were similar for whites hispanics and blacks in 2011 but progress stalled for blacks and whites they note that by 2021 the death rate for white children was 16 for blacks and hispanics you're like really that's that's bad we don't want that we certainly don't want kids to die because they're black or hispanic that would only be like an animal so not even an animal but a demon might have to wish for that oh and then we find out the reason so liberals are mad that more kids are living by uh surviving cancer why are they mad because there's still disparities what's causing them one possible explanation the story notes may be that medicaid patients lack access to premier oncologists and have to wait for appointments with specialists to get diagnosed there it is folks

Mexico rejects Texas's proposal to allow state police case to deport undocumented immigrants. Boy, even the headline needs to be untangled. Undocumented immigrants. That's a lie. Let's talk about language in the last hour, the way the left manipulates it. Undocumented immigrants. Really? Because what I'm seeing a lot of is stolen social security numbers and fake paperwork and even people come into the United States illegally, then walk up to Border Patrol agents and then they're given some sort of documents that demonstrate that we're aware they're here. So they're not undocumented. They're actually documented. So that's already a lie. It's generous to say that they're immigrants because that in a sense justifies coming into the United States. What's really going on is they're illegal aliens by every traditional definition of the word and also that's what appears in our statutes. The laws themselves say illegal aliens. But Mexico is rejecting a Texas proposal to allow state police to deport illegals. What do you mean rejecting it? So Mexico us allows to, if the federal government wants to do it, on the very rare occasion that it does nowadays. That's fine, but if Texas wants to do it, Mexico is rejecting it? What's the difference to them? Well, the difference is obvious. Our federal government is not doing it. And any attempt by any American entity to actually put illegals in trebuchets and throw them back across the street, they're going to reject. They're against. No, no, no, no. Don't send them to us. "Dispensation here it matters for this segment I'm fascinated by economics because it marries the two things I love business and psychology and I did both an MBA and a graduate degree in psychology and economics is kind of a symbiote of those two those two things why do people try to rationally maximize their own life and make the economic decisions they do it's fascinating me then people call it the dismal science it's not dismal at all I find it to be the most fascinating one and what I really find fascinating about economics is how easy it is and how overcomplicated even some Republicans tend to make it overcomplicated there is a there's a thing in economics and it's very simple to understand if you understand this you'll understand ninety percent of economics it's called an opportunity cost there is a difference between a financial cost and an economic cost they're not the same thing I'll give you a quick example it's going to apply to what just happened up in New York how liberals how when it gets bad enough is when economics kicks them in the junk and it hasn't yet but it's starting up in New York there's a difference between a financial cost and an economic cost if my wife Paula a who is very talented database web developer she can make a lot of money hundreds of dollars an hour designing websites she doesn't anymore she manages my business but she used to if my wife were to forfeit that career and go out and say become a barista nothing wrong with that value and work I'm not knocking anyone but the pace far less correct say the pace $20 an hour financially my wife is better off right if she works two hours she made $40 she's not economically better off though those are not the same thing a financial your financial situation in the economic one are not the same thing economically she's worse off because if she can charge 200 an hour and to she make chooses coffee for $20 an hour she's actually losing economically $180 an hour that's called an opportunity cost the cost of a foregone opportunity liberals do not understand this at all or they pretend not to the communists just don't care about but the useful idiots genuinely don't understand that Eric Adams is just a useful idiot he's just dumb if you are going to tax New York City residents to death you need to understand they are some of the highest tax residents of any municipality in the country if you live in New York City people at the upper end of the income scale in New York City are paying upwards fifty of percent of their income forty to fifty to the government for almost nothing in return for streets dirty drugs that being just garbage everywhere you're paying for nothing they're paying up to fifty percent of their income and the Liberals are living under this illusion that you can continue to take money to people and just dole it out to union benefits police department's fire department sanitation department's social welfare programs SNAP programs illegal immigrants public shelters beautification projects community empowerment you understand they don't understand the concept of an opportunity cost that when you give money to illegal migrants in New York City it has to come from a another opportunity

Yarden, what do you want to say to the American people, millions of whom are listening to you right now? First thank of all, you for hosting me. I kind of want to ask, is it me just described? I still can't believe the reality that is going on. I still can't believe I'm having to tell such a hard story, but I still can't believe it's not only my story, but a story of hundreds and thousands. So thank you for listening to it. But I did get a chance to spend a moment there in the opening half hour saying that I grow weary of the moral fog. In fact, on Twitter just a couple of moments ago, in these fractured times, I'm glad to give a Democrat some credit. Democrat Senator Chris Coons, who is right on Israel, was confronted by this stooge pro -Hamas activist on a train who badgered him. Why not a ceasefire? Why not a ceasefire? Sometimes moral clarity is something that needs to be delivered in a certain fashion. I'd like to think I have it intellectually and conceptually. My buddy Mike Gallagher joins us, who had an experience yesterday that will bring that kind of clarity in the harshest but necessary terms. I just can't wait to see how this day went. It had to be amazing and I'm just so glad you're here and the floor is yours. And tell everybody what you got a chance to do yesterday. Well, it was something that no one would want to see. It was pretty brutal. It was worse than I thought it was going to be. Israel put together a 45 -minute sort of a collection of video and audio and still photographs. They were videos from the terrorists' GoPros and their cell phones. There were closed -circuit videos and there were audio intercepts. They got audio recordings of the terrorists calling their families. The IDF was able to tap into some of these calls where they were calling their parents excitedly, saying, I just killed 10 Jews with my bare hands, Mom. Your son is a hero. Your son is a hero, Aloha Akbar. And they're all joyful and ecstatic. A couple of takeaways. When you watch the brutality of the violence that they inflicted on these innocent men, women, children, elderly people, there are a couple of things that really stand out. Number one, the ecstasy and the joy that the Hamas terrorists experienced as they were killing people, including little babies in little onesies and little daisy outfits and cute little kids covered in blood, slaughtered brutally. And they were absolutely euphoric, Mark. That's the only word to use. It was ecstatic for them. They had such a joy. And I kept telling myself, there's no way they think that Jews are human. There's no way that they regard them as human beings. You couldn't do that to another human being and have that kind of satisfaction. I mean, let's face it. When you think about crime in America or crimes of passion or murders or robberies or whatever, what have you, normal people don't have euphoria when they cut somebody's head off. They don't get joyful and they don't call their moms and brag about it and say, look what I did. Look what I did. So number one, that's one of the big takeaways. And the other thing I kept thinking about, and it was a somber mood. It was at the Israeli embassy. There were a number of some media people there, some pastors. It was a gathering from the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews who we worked with closely right after the terror attack of October the 7th. About 60 people in the room, maybe 70. It was very somber. It was very well done. But as you can imagine, there were tears. There was crying. There was weeping. One pastor in front of me, in fact, he happens to be a pastor from Sarasota, not far from where I'm at right now. When it was over, he kind of flung himself down onto the ground and laid across the stage and was laying on his belly just heaving, just crying and sobbing. I mean, you're looking right at the face of the devil. You're looking at evil with this. And I kept thinking, Mark, how I wish the people marching at Columbia and Harvard and in Austin, how I wish they could see this video. From the river to the sea, you proud now? You proud now? I mean, you know, the one pastor, I spent some time, I pulled double duty after the show and then I did the screening at this embassy. And then I was asked to do an afternoon show for WAVA, which is a huge Christian teaching and talk station. Over in Arlington, yeah. Yep, the Arlington. And so Don Crow has been out on a medical leave and they asked me to fill in for him. And I had with me Bishop Lanier, who is the chairman of the board of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, as a very profound speaker, very eloquent, very, you know, just a great orator and a great man of the cloth. And he said, look, I don't think we're going to change their minds. We need to change our minds. We need to change what we say from the pulpit. We've got to stop the equivocation. Well, it's two sides here. People are dying on both sides. That is both -sides -ism of the worst possible stripe. It really is, Mark. And I just want to reiterate that because I don't know that Israel, listen, if Israel was guilty of any of the stuff that I saw yesterday, that I experienced, and again, I'm not trying to be melodramatic. It's one of the most painful things I've ever, ever encountered. I mean, and I'll spare you gory details. You can imagine how bad it was. I mean, you already have seen some of it, you know, lining up on the streets and just shooting into cars of innocent passengers trying to drive down the street. But there was one scene in particular that got to me the most. I do want to share it with you. There was a father alone with his sons. The mother was gone, and it was in the kibbutz. They did a horrible massacre in this kibbutz, which is like a Jewish religious holy neighborhood, you know. But they're beautiful little homes. I mean, oh, their homes were so cute and decorated and, you know, plants on the porches and everything. And they were meticulously taken care of. So here's this father in the house, and it's all captured on the family's closed -circuit video. So they had like a ring system all throughout the house and outside, and it was all captured. So the father is with these two boys. I would guess the one little boy was about seven or eight. The other one was probably 11 or 12. And the little boys were in their underwear. And the shots ring out, and the father, they're all terrified, and the father desperately tries to protect his children. He scoops them both up, and they run into the backyard, and they go into a little shed that's in the backyard. It looked like a little gardening shed. And you see a Hamas terrorist come around the corner and casually pull the pit off of a grenade and throw the grenade in the shed. And it blows up, and the father immediately slumps out of the shed dead. You could tell he's instantly dead. But the two little boys are alive, and they come running out in their underwear. The one boy, you can see it looks like his eye is missing. He is terrified. The two little boys are crying, Daddy, Daddy, Mommy, Mommy. They go into the kitchen. Now the closed -circuit video picks them up in the kitchen where they're talking to each other. And they said to each other, and it's all translated, of course, and they said, Is this real? Is this real? I think we're going to die. Daddy died. Daddy died. Where's Mommy? Where's Mommy? And then the one little boy turns to his brother, his little brother, and says, Can you see out of that eye? He says, No, I can't. And he looks at him, and you can see that it looks like his whole side of his face was injured from the grenade. And he says, You can't? You can't? You can't see? He goes, No, I can't see anything out of my eye. And the little boys are crying, and they're calling for their Mommy. And then the closed -circuit shifts back to the backyard where a kibbutz security guard, actually two security guards, have escorted the mother to the property. She had been away. So they take her to the back of the shed where her dead husband is laying. She is now in anguish and screaming and collapsing and screaming, Where are my boys? Where are my boys? At the same time, the two boys, they run out of the house in the front, trying to escape. And Lord knows what fate they met. I don't have a whole lot of high hope that they made it. And I'd like to look into that. I'm going to follow up with my friends at the fellowship to see if those boys were reunited with their mother. But that's the human suffering that I wish people who seem to dehumanize Jews would see. It was eye -opening. I'm glad I did it. I'm honored that I did it. I'm glad you did, too. I'm so glad. But it was awful. And I wouldn't want anybody to see it. For people who – and sometimes you can hear people in your headphones and hear people driving around. And I want to give a voice to people saying we could show a horrible video of a Palestinian child to whom something terrible has happened, and that is undeniably true.

Some are saying this is front running the pump here, but it exploded to $202 for Grayscale Solana Trust. This is what you can buy on exchanges. If you are a Wall Street investor, you're probably not going to use Kraken or Coinbase. You're going to want to use a entity like Grayscale. Well, each of these shares has a little bit of Cardano within it, about 0 .3 or so. Well, this price is way, way higher, everybody. It looks like we're trading at a very high premium at 869 % premium. So when you do the share, and what that is trading relative to Solana's price, almost a 900 % premium people are paying here. At the time of trading, we're also seeing low prices and high premiums for Grayscale's Chainlink Trust. The Chainlink Trust, a 250 % premium. BioCoin, 900 % premium, close to Solana's premium there. But meanwhile, Solana, still down 80 % from the all -time highs. Now, thinking crypto, I want to ask you, you know, these Wall Street traders, I thought they were smarter than us. I thought they knew how to out -trade us. Then why are they paying a 900 % premium if they're so smart? Man, maybe they know something we don't, and that is maybe that Altcoins will continue to move up with Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin still has a leg up, and we know the liquidity flows from Bitcoin after it hits its overbought scenario, and then the alts pop off. Obviously, Solana and Chainlink have been pumping, so I think they know something. They know, you know, these VCs have been pumping Solana, and I think they see a higher upside, but that premium is, you know, ridiculous.

"You're welcome man, on middle of the week, a lot to do here today, and we begin with where we left off yesterday, the swirling controversy in Tuscaloosa, where quite a bit has happened since we last left you Nate oats, the head coach at Alabama the number two team in the country has clarified his statements from yesterday's news conference if you have not seen or heard this is what he said. I thought it was important for me to clarify the unfortunate remarks I made earlier this entire time I've tried to be thoughtful in my words relative to this tragic incident and my statements came across poorly. We were informed by law enforcement of other student athletes being in the vicinity and law enforcement has repeatedly told us that no other student athletes were suspects. They were witnesses only our understanding is that they have all been fully truthful and cooperative in no way did I intend to downplay the seriousness of the situation or the tragedy of that night, my prayers continue to go out to Jamaica Harris's family. Meanwhile, not everyone buying what coach oats is selling Dan wetzel headline here in Yahoo, Alabama's Brandon Miller could have stopped a tragedy, Dan wetzel, one of the most respected award winning columnists in the country, joining us Dan. Thanks for the time, always good to have you even though this is a rather incredible event to be talking about. Good afternoon and give us your thoughts on what we have learned over these past 24 hours from Tuscaloosa. Yes, thanks, Paul. Yeah, the clarification is interesting. When I first heard those NATO comments, I was really stunned at them. And I was waiting for more information. And my guess, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I'm just not going to assume that NATO is the worst person or it doesn't care or is callous, right? Am I assumption was that he didn't maybe he wasn't fully aware of Brandon Miller's involvement. Maybe he thought I knew there was a guy in the vicinity. And that's the wrong place at the wrong time kind of quote that he had given. But he didn't know, hey, he had driven back with the weapon in his car or he had been summoned there or this all the other stuff the police allege. So that the clarification still leaves that open, but I'm still surprised he didn't come out and say that. I'm still surprised like, did he know everything that was testified by the detective yesterday? And did he still know all that and say, yes, this kid doesn't deserve any punishment. There's no suspension. There's no problems. It's no big deal. It's just an unfortunate situation. And that's the part that I'm still not clear on. And maybe we'll get that clarification tonight because to me it's a big distinction between those things. This was a tragedy that bringing someone a weapon in the middle of a dispute. You know they were at a bar, you know, this could have been a worse tragedy. Is bad enough to horrible enough for the family, but at least 11 shots rang out and the strip and Tuscaloosa, which I think you and everybody certainly in Alabama knows is very popular area. With college kids and bars and diners and everything else, like who knows who else could have been caught in the crossfire. We've had enough shootings and stuff. I still just a little puzzled by what exactly NATO's new when he made those statements yesterday or made the decision that, hey, no big deal, Brandon didn't do anything unless he's charged with a felony or something here. We don't really care because that's the question I have and it's unanswered. Yes. Dan, I can't answer it, I can tell you what I think, though, and what I think is that he knew everything yesterday and he's known it for some time. I think he is much has said that. He's noted for almost 5 weeks. And I think it raises a lot of serious questions. Not so much from a legal standpoint. I think that's a big hill to climb, and I know a lot of people, colleagues of ours are groveling, the players should be indicted, oats should be put out to pasture. I mean, those are strong comments to make, but the question I really want to ask you, assuming that I'm going to ask you to assume something because I'm assuming that NATO's knew all this 5 weeks ago, what should he have done? If he knew that his player not only was involved in the transportation of the gun to a murder scene, but it's possible that the car that he brought back there was blocking the possible escape of the other party involved. Yeah, absolutely. And that's exactly what the police have testified allegedly that and I understand that it's a thin little street. It's a side street next to the I think the CVS and the involvement of Brandon Miller is far more. His windshield was hit twice. With bullets. And the shooting was far more dramatic. And I agree with you. Look, I'm not a prosecutor. I'm not going to second guess the prosecutors of up in Tuscaloosa or anywhere else. That's their decision. They have very, very hard jobs. To do. So whether somebody thinks, hey, they should throw the book at this guy. I don't know. It's hard.

What they mean is the entire South Asia But because the ties between India and Pakistan haven't been the best for the past two years, both countries have had a trade ban. So my book was published in by Simon and Schuster, India, but not a single copy of it made it in Pakistan. So in the end, they had to sign up with a very small local publisher in Pakistan. So the book didn't have a have that kind of publicity that it deserved in Pakistan. So, yeah, This is not a good time to be a Pakistani author at all in Pakistan, because not only has that avenue closed for us now. Also because viruses still rampant in Pakistan. I think thousands and thousands of books of copies of inter company of strangers that have been sold in Pakistan but they're all Pirated, so I didn't get a single ruby out of it. I'm so sorry.
