New Orleans Saints Have Eight Members of Organization Test Positive for COVID-19

"This saints. Coaching steptoe. What what's the latest. What is it eight members of the saints organization test positive. So what's the protocol. What are they gotta go through through the next few days or weeks. Yes so It is as of right now. Almost exclusively saints coaches not exclusively. Because there's one player. Michael thomas to starve receiver. But he's not an active player. So i'm doesn't necessarily affect them on the field but it is Six assistant coaches a nutritionist. On michael thomas. I believe so. You know it's it's interesting. Because i think last year. If this happened there would be some. I would say panic or certainly some some real worry About what's going to happen to the saints. What does it mean. How's it going to derail their season but every coach on their staff vaccinated most of the players not all the most of the players are vaccinated. So you know they were at a point where it affects them because those coaches aren't going to be allowed to be in the building but the you know return to return to work is so much faster because they're fully vaccinated that it is possible that it might not even affect anything for sunday So you know we're gonna still monitor it but it's an it's an issue but i would say probably not maybe as much of an issue as it might have been lasting

Do Cities Need Resilience Corps to Deal With Climate Change?

"Cities have firefighters and trash collectors as the climate breaks down. Do they also need resilience. Core by sierra new gen when hurricane ida hit new orleans in early september tanya freeman brown made the difficult decision to stay in the city the fifty-three-year-old and her family's sheltered in an old brick hotel in the downtown area watching fierce winds of up to one hundred fifty miles per hour pelt rainwater at the windows and remembering the destruction wrought by hurricane katrina sixteen years earlier to the day. It was stressful but freeman brown. Had a job to do. She says we're no match for nature. But this is what we've trained for. This is what the resilience core was built for like. Firefighters put out fires and waste collectors. Keep the city. Clean the job of the new orleans. Resilience core is to help the city be resilient to shocks. Crises and climate change launched by the city and october twenty twenty as a pilot to run for two years. The cores forty workers were mainly people who lost jobs in the hospitality industry during the pandemic. Who are now on full time contracts starting at twelve dollars an hour with a path to an eighteen dollar an hour wage freeman brown joined after losing her work as a corporate massage therapist at an insurance company. The core spent much of the last year working to support the city through kovic nineteen and get people vaccinated hurricane. Ida is the first climate disaster that the core has confronted though the sophisticated system of levees pumps and flood barriers. Built in the wake of katrina protected the city from water damage the storms high winds battered the city killing thirteen people there and toppling thousands of power lines and hundreds of substations. The lights remained off across most of new orleans for a week with at least ten percent of electric customers still without power nine days later.

Joe Biden Pledges Aid to Help States Recover From Hurricane Ida

"We're going to cover it all this morning beginning at the white house senior adviser cedric richmond richmond. Thank you for joining us this morning. Let's begin with the devastation. Left by i'd i know you're coming to us from new orleans this morning. You were with president biden on friday. What's the latest on the situation down in your state and what kind of federal emergency assistance will president biden be authorizing. Well we have all hands on deck down here. We issued a priest storm disaster declaration and then in the middle of the night after the storm hit. The president signed a disaster declaration so that freed up individual assistance for families and individuals and we still encourage people to go to disaster assistance dot gov and apply for benefits and especially those critical needs assistance. So that we can get money in the hands of people To do it and one of the reasons why the president wanted to come down and come down so early because he wanted to see things on the ground and we know what the problems on. we're actually Helping to resolve them and that is getting power back on in homes. That's getting gas too. Few stations desk getting tarps out there. So people can start to mitigate their damage. and then it's to to create and provide that assistant so people that do come home after a week of not having electricity to have to replenish refrigerator. And you know most people. Don't think of it in that sense but part of why we're here is we want to know what real people deal with. And that's a four hundred dollar expense. A five hundred dollar expense to replenish a refrigerator. So we wanna make sure that's just a small example of what we're doing but we wanna make sure we're meeting. The needs of people encounter them and let them know. We're going to be here for the long haul

What's the Best Camera for YouTube Influencers?

"So i've been talking about my daughter who's in journalism needs a camera. She's also going to be a youtuber influence. Or you know that that space So we've been talking. We've been looking at both. The sony a sixty one hundred a and the cannon m fifty. I think too bright is on she. He says a brody says i have an ace seventy seven in love the camera. You can get an adapter from sony. That will let you will. That will let the mirror less cameras. Use the regular mirror camera. Lenses sony calls them amount the molten molten. No i can i say that animal to thank you minolta. I wanted to say something else. lands would work as well. I use those lenses in the old film days. Just keep in mind that the film lenses are full frame and have to worry about that in the new orleans or a aps see size So getting the murless with the adapter and getting the aim out lenses means she can upgrade on it to a regular deals are already have the lenses down the road not to bob. I'm not too worried about lenses. One hundred percent honest. I'm kind of thinking about the camera. Body i in his. I look at the a sixty one hundred versus the cannon m fifty this camera stabilization seems to be an issue between the two and then y- how that viewfinder is seems to be the other big issue. So if i put that in front of you gimme gimme some advice on. So sony just released a A newark is. She is mainly video or is it both both. Yeah she's going to do a lot of video lot of lot of blogging. I would say if she is more towards the video. Sony released a camera. It's their zeevi. Dash eight ten. Which based off the same camera. Sort of almost the same camera that i have which is surprising right here. This looks really big. But it. 'cause i have a cage and i have this massive lens on it but it's actually really all. I'm going to go full screen. Bob hold up to the it's impressive. Hold that to the camera there so that looks good but this is just big because i have you can see the cage that goes around it and what do you what. What's the cage. Get forty so it allows me to attach different things. I have an extra hostile. Sorry i have an extra hot shoe up top here on the bottom. I have a artists mounts. Snap it into stuff. It protects it so because this is this is all aluminum so if i drop it it's going to protect it so a cage. I have never heard of cage before so cage a good good thing to you. If if your camera is like so i would. I take this on trips. And i like climb waterfalls and like throw this thing around so i wanted something that would protect it And that kind of. That's why. That's why i got it But if you're just like using the camera in an office setting or studio setting you don't necessarily need the cage but if you're attaching a bunch of stuff to it you it gives you a lot more

"Today. We're talking about the power outage in new orleans earlier this week. Hurricane ida swept through parts of the southern us leaving widespread destruction in its path also knocked out power across louisiana leaving over a million customers in the dark and the city of new orleans was especially hard hit now. Officials are saying it could take weeks for the power to be turned back on so today. We're talking all about power in the second half of the show. We're gonna talk about another dire potential problem. We'll talk about threats to our communications infrastructure from solar storms but first there's a more immediate crisis unfolding in louisiana and parts of mississippi lily before we talk about bringing power back to new orleans. You know hurricane katrina comes to everyone's minds and in this case the levees flood gates pumps the all the systems that you know. The federal government and louisiana have spent billions on over the past sixteen years Those were very successful at keeping the water out of new orleans and in the city itself. "To you will wait, boy. Alright, There's the end of your ride right now, brother, So I can't remember the name of that group. But they're great guy that sings. He's awesome. He's a He is a card. On stage. This particular version was by the riders in the sky Riders in the sky. If anybody gets a chance to see one of their contest or one of their concerts, whatever cut contest on my head. Yeah. Go riders in the sky. They are great really are alright. Looks you have numbers ready for alright? We're generating some numbers, but While we're doing that, Let's talk Tio. Who we talking to have Glen and then right when we have Mark Mark, OK, let's talk to Glenn. Good morning, Glenn. Good morning neighbor. Are you got good of good. I? I thought it was interesting. Your caller that says, Hope I can keep your signal out. And you know the Susquehanna River. Right? AM review. I don't know. If you think you're in Baltimore. You remotely doing the program from Eastern right now. I am, but the signal comes out of Baltimore. You're exactly right. The same thing I do a radio show out of Colorado in Phoenix. Really? And yeah, I'm using a program called Overto off my phone and I have a headset and it sounds like him in the next room. It's amazing and technology with broadcasting has gone so far. No question. Now. What kind of work? Yeah. What kind of equipment do you have in your home? I don't have any equipment. I do it off of my foes. It's completely off my phone there did apple. My phone called And you do, Right? How long? How long is your radio show? Like an hour an hour. Well, 47 minutes. Yeah, of course I got it. But you you talk into your phone the entire time rather than head Saturday. You know, I have I have a headset that I plug into my phone. I have a turtle bay like gamer had said that the kids use and okay. Perfect. In fact, it's the radio headset is almost too good, because, um, I picked up the bird's in the backyard sometimes. Wow. Like Are you outside like now? I'm actually in my house, but they can hear are chirping and that's cool. That's very cool. No good enough that I was. I was going to say that there's quite a plate activity and deer hunting right now because I drove from Denton to Centerville than Senator released and weekly and their trucks everywhere parked on the side of the road. You know they're out here. Oh, yeah, no question about it. No question. A lot of deer hunters out there Which is good thing so Yeah, I think the best thing this year is the straight walk case. Firearms that that's that's one of the big things. Yeah, I've had a number of people ask me. What do you think is the best gun like? Well, I think that was a 3 50 whispers. Everybody. 3 53 50 legend is what it's called, Right? Yeah. 303 3 50 legend. Yes, that's right. And then I guess you're next step up the 4 50, which is a monster. Yeah. The 4 50. Marlin is the one I'm using. I actually bought that gun because I liked the gun and had no idea that straight wall cartridges were common had didn't have any idea. It was a straight wall cartridge because it is a belted round. But the belt is only there to prevent you from loading the 4 50 Marlon bullets into a 45 70. So right, but I have, so I'm really enjoying it. Yeah, it does tend to become expensive. Tio, Citing your don't know, Sometimes I think those guys love sure, but, you know, Yeah, but, you know, if you if you if you're using a scope, the first thing you do is mount to scope correctly. Second thing you do is foresight, the scope to get you in the paper. The third thing you do is started 25 yards. And it just make your make your major adjustments. A 25 yards out Exactly. Right. I can't tell you how many people comes range for a target out of the 100. Not on paper. They're freaking out like party 25, because wherever you are If you're often into 25, you're going to be all four inches at 100. What? That's current, like. Oh, yeah, that's right. And when you do the adjustment when you do the adjustment of 25 I've also got to keep in mind if your quarter if you're one click moves your sight your crosshairs if one click Moves to the quarter inch of 100 yards. In other words, if you need to move in two inches of 100 yards, that's eight clicks but a 25 yards. You're 1/4 the distance, so you have to click a 32 times. So that's that's one thing that you, you know, you learn when you're doing a lot of sighting in, so I mean, a man a lot of scopes. I worked in the retail business for a couple of years and men of the awful lot of scopes and You know, the key is to get him straight to get enough. I relief and to use Loctite number two or gun tight to tighten the screws and be careful in a level and the level of levels. Always good. Yep, thanks for the call. Hey, have a great weekend. You did Same. Thank you. Bye bye. To Robin. Who is the number for the hat. What? I's number 37, but whose name does that correspond to? Oh, you're going to announce you go right ahead. Tim Cruise Cruise. When the hat who won the who won the Maryland's finest record book? Lee for a Lee for it. Okay. Good. I hope I said these names, right? Alright. And finally when I'm going to screw up the gun I think it is saying I was saying I can't read this. Hold on a second. Everybody make sure you say that. Okay? Numbers were randomly generated by a programme on the phone, and I said this to everybody before I looked up who they were. I said Yes, you did. Allan. So everything was And done. I'm about one. The most letter that's cool. One of our regular callers, so, Captain John, if you're listening, I'm sure you are. Congratulations. You give us a call if you want and, ah We'll get that muzzle loader delivered to you and the other two. We will send the stuff that you're welcome to call into. "Figure out what's what's going on you know even the spring training during the time that they were down there even a simple walking around the clubhouse saying you know how you feel yeah how to go really how do you feel you have to ask anymore questions and added some you know some guys saying well you know a little tight here and that you know when you pick up those things and you follow those guys you watch and you see how it works out we don't have that now okay there's no conversation there and it's not you know Hey baby I'll tell I'll catch them when they come out of the locker room no you're not gonna do anything her skin is giving that you're gonna have no you know no report with them whatsoever as far as that goes so and no contact so it is gonna be tough to do you're gonna have to read a lot of things yeah we're going to start being allowed to watch some of these practices next week and the thing is though because I believe that these workouts ought to be staggered over the course of the entire day to keep the numbers down but you would be allowed to watch the entire day we're not gonna spend ten hours the ballpark watching every group will probably get access to watch one group on on the main field today yeah we don't even know that we don't even know that really yeah let me know if you know the rest of the other work happening underneath K. J. we can't see a lot of times any how many times have you watched a guy kinda walked off gingerly out of cage drop the field and you can trust keep that you know come to say okay I can ask about that later right gonna poke around about that later right and those kinds of things are gonna escape us we're kind of our field of vision is not going to be quite as large as it normally is so it's you know it's going to be in a little bit more of an effort to try to get the information the fans want to hear about what's happening yeah plus it's going to be fascinating that starts Friday at least for the egg is a mess I don't know if any club is opening up sooner I mean you can in on July first and I'm not sure whether the media is in any other places on Wednesday but it's not could be the case here in New York Mets and Yankees are both on Friday and then you know you get the fourth of July weekend and then that'll you know kick into the full week next week but deal we'll we'll see as they as they ramp up do you happen to side to adjust up I was looking at the NBA schedule before because they put they put those gifts it was it was kind of yeah I thought was interesting you know with it and they again have a couple of games that they're going to kick off with I guess a double header and one is a course I on you know they desperately wanted to to get into the playoffs and in some way shape or form and he's going to be in the opening game it's New Orleans and Utah I think in in the first game present Lakers in game two right clippers Lakers in game two of course would lebron I I thought the the normal as Utah one was was interesting simply because the jazz were New Orleans before before they before they moved to Utah but also Utah had Rudy Gobert and and he was the guy who shot the whole league down so sure the tires sports right usually they see exactly all yeah that's no that's exactly right Rudy Rudy did shut the the sports world but does it just say you know that they they took all their stamina also you know plugs I out in there and there's little Orleans Utah you know connection as well so that's that's all the NBA star now I have not thought about the go their connection to the Max that you write down the the games I presume Brian Anderson is gonna be doing one of those two games on TNT and we're gonna talk to Brian a little bit later on tonight he of course that was baseball during the summer does Milwaukee Brewers and does a lot of NBA and college basketball in the spring I'm sure it will we're gonna double talk to Brian especially about because he is a a big March madness guy and he's he's really he's blossomed he's had some great games you know the Loyola game against the Vegas and several others but you know that just went by the boards I don't have to kill him but I think we ought to give like five minutes and just have a run down to schedule because I feel big baseball starts the twenty third and twenty for the NBA is gonna start about a week after that as we're gonna be you'll be all over the place a little bit extreme to the other yeah yeah all from locked down but not knowing what flight is on yeah exactly I still do one that always makes me laugh and he there was a Gary Thorne when he was doing the maths on TV and in movies doing hockey on ESPN he had ice I vividly remember this one weekend when the Mets were in San Francisco and there was a Friday night game it's probably nineteen ninety five there's a Friday night game and it's it's a rain delay the game goes on on on well past midnight eastern time before they call the game right what Gary has a Saturday night game in Philadelphia for ESPN for hockey those flyers penguins so he's waiting through this rain delay in your goal by the eastern clock here you're waiting past midnight you know you have to get on a plane surfaces go the next morning to come back into a hockey game in Philadelphia and then Sunday's gonna be back for a a one o'clock Pacific for thirty a local Mets giants day game right right and again he's not leaving on a flight that night so get up early Sunday morning and head back to San Francisco Philly San Francisco all the space of like thirty six hours those are the types of things that I mean I'm sure Kenny Albert is that plenty of those I'm sure Brian Anderson has a lots of those he's probably gonna have a lot more well as you said is this thing all kind of get started another way and you know the playoffs are going to be concurrent your baseball and and NBA playoffs are gonna be almost the exact same time yeah so exactly yeah Hey I was watching the wants of a news clip last night about or may result before but anyway they they were talking about planes of certain carriers anyway have have left the middle seats open and some are going to continue to do that but others I think United though was one it may be member I know mereka was one are gonna thought the planes if they can build the planes going to fill the place I don't know you know how guys feel about that who have to do a lot of flying you know like Brian getting from place to place and different support the different sports so I mean that's that's another thing you have to consider as well to add everyone male bass on but you're gonna be jammed in there you know so yeah and you know and thought about actually I mean have you thought about getting on a plane since March thirteenth V. the process the board is usually kind of S. faced himself stuck your boarding always people on the part of the part oh my gosh you got to be a little lines in airports I think a lot of exes are you gonna be standing all the way down the corridor probably yeah I'm here to get your hands off of my carry on this because of the good show tonight you know yeah so we'll have the later on we are gonna talk about ten minutes we'll talk to our friend John Flaherty blashette William yeah you begin reducing Yankee games and the next hour we'll talk we'll talk to Steve Kerr said who is a full time coach for Milwaukee the idea of maybe get some of the answers to the things we're talking about how one of the pictures been doing how do you wrap them up what are you trying to do can you over use relievers here do you do you try to go heavy in and and try to manage these like playoff games right out of the gate we have a.

I. N. S. it's north west north of keys it's not located on this this is a new one a small one it is it possible that they've changed the name and I was just wondering if you you know you could help me with that no absolutely not if you haven't heard of it no thanks never heard of it AS in Russia all right grandparents are from there I trust you part one little Orleans status I told my most of my friends how sometimes art bill would you when you're listening to him if I close friend you know sometimes you want to put your arms around him and other times you just want to shake them and say what are you talking about strangling him it got that yeah mmhm I love you so yeah but first time caller line you're on the air hello all right now yes Sir I've been trying to get through for two weeks I've got this the the solution to your aren't part do you know you must be a nuclear scientist I am a scientist but I I think I love from some other planet I'm always experimenting on the damn this is ever seen anybody have live who lives in respecting there is now as I write it real quick all right I don't think and I have a case to make I've been working with them for fifteen years in our faces up passing it and everything and I had occasion to make a special bonus program and I'm looking into sand camping in front of the room and the way it ended up this way I don't know what you're talking about the aluminum casting aluminum I've got that yes and then there's a plaque anyway and so many users heavy coarse grained cast and when I got done with it it was not very nice gently on the forehead on the on the well I'm here and I want to listen carefully to Sir don't do that to yourself that'll give you a headache I appreciate the call though east of the Rockies you're on the air Mike is that is it a laptop with well I don't know we'll see do I get there like not my gun if I am yeah I guess you could do yeah you know I really don't care what color the Egyptians were the cops was sick of the I think the untold story there is that they ruin their environment and the place of the desert and there's a reason for that it once was and and maybe that was what the major was getting at maybe you know we we've played around way too long gotten way out of control and now we're gonna pay the price and when you think you're going to have that guy on I think a lot of toward a large party and have all my friends come really sort of an apocalyptic jam right we'll get all the music together and we'll.
