Merrick Garland Is the Current Hired Gun of the Craven Ruling Class
"Today, Merrick Garland is doing a hearing in front of the House judiciary committee. Merrick Garland is being asked certain questions that he doesn't even know the specifics of what he does his attorney general is exactly what bob Mueller did when he was the appointment, where they have these elderly kind of elderly old men that have had long resumes and careers, Merrick Garland being a federal judge, bob Mueller, think bubble around the FBI, and he's something like that. And then they use them as puppets and they manipulate them to wage domestic war on us. Merrick Garland, you have to understand what you're dealing with here. Is the current hired gun of the craven ruling class. Merrick Garland is the placeholder of all of the entrenched interests. Merrick Garland oversees the department that spied on Donald Trump illegally oversees the department that had Peter struck and Lisa page. James Comey, Merrick Garland is the placeholder unelected by the way no one showed up in huge numbers to go elect Merrick Garland to be able to write letters to say to the national school board to acknowledge the letter from the national school board association, say, you know what? We need to go use the FBI the Department of Justice to go after moms and dads that are showing up in big numbers to school board meetings. Now, Republicans are doing their job here by overseeing Merrick Garland. They're conducting oversight. And a lot of this is just words. But Merrick Garland is not used to being challenged like this. I listen to some of the hearing this morning and I could tell you this is a man who just like bob Mueller is only a placeholder and is being used and manipulated by other treacherous and other malevolent interests. To try to weaponize the federal government in the United States.

Is America Becoming a Land of No Consequences? Rep. Devin Nunes Shares His Thoughts
"Congressman Nunes, I didn't want to spoil your day. I just wanted to tee that cut up to ask you a question that I have to give full credit. I lived in Hungary after the fall of communism the land of my parents birth. And there was an issue there in the 1990s. Nobody, not one person paid the price for the crimes of the prior regime. There was no truth in reconciliation, no truth committees, and one day a very bright philosopher wrote a big article, changed the overton window. And the title of the article, a congressman was is our nation becoming a land of no consequences. I look at America in the last 5 years. I look at the lives of Schiff, the accusations of Brennan of Comey of mccabe of stroke of Lisa page. And I see one lowly lawyer at the FBI get a slap on the wrist, and I have to ask you as a person who's down the most to get the true story out. Is America becoming a land of no consequences congressman? Well, I still have hope, and you have to have hope in this line of work. I get up every day. I live in California. I'm coming to you from California where we got fires burning all over the place, so you got politicians running around, screaming global warming as my constituents and my family are engulfed in smoke, just ash and smoke that are coming out of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. So you got to get up every day. We're in the trenches here. And you've got to have hope that things are going to get better. But to your point, things have gotten progressively

Russell Brand Calls 'Russiagate' a 'Democratic Conspiracy'
"How are we supposed to interpret celebrities coming out who were once on the radical left and now are saying things that were and are very obvious russell brand who is a comedian. He's pretty fair on most things. He's all over the place. No trump fan though at all he has now come out and he has criticized russia gate. Now i'm saying this for a reason because we have a new episode out with cash patel that i encourage all of you to listen to but if you wanna listen to in my opinion. The best analysis of the origins of the russian investigation of peter struck of lisa page of where the all came from. And where we are headed. I'm telling you cash patel who is being targeted by every major institution on the left that you can imagine key breaks down how john durham is building a criminal conspiracy case against the deep state. It was compelling. It was detailed. I pushed him on a lot of different things. And that's exclusively on the charlie kirk show. Podcast app of cash patel. It's one of my favorite episodes. We've done in recent times and it's all around this topic of who is going to be held accountable for what was done back in two thousand sixteen two thousand seventeen timeframe with peter struck and lisa page spying on a presidential campaign and hoping to get away with russ or russell brand now says well. This is all from the clinton campaign russell. The great sean. Hannity has been saying this on his program for literally the last four years but better late than never. I suppose. Play cut fifty six. We'll move so fast. It's almost no time for history. It seems like years ago that we would hear. In the trump was colluding with russia. They would've won the election without russia that he's whole presidency was kind of employees. Well there's now serious evidence that it was the clinton campaign and hillary clinton acolytes lueth directly involved in the generation of has proven to be a conspiracy untrue. Think about how much media watched me a person who i think broadly speaking. He's from the left. A liberal certainly not trump support in republican with respect to those of you that are i find myself in awe gobsmacked flabbergasted in startled by these revelations. The russia gate was a democrat conspiracy.

Should Teens Be Allowed to Drink at Home?
"Would love to hear your thoughts on parents. Condoning teenage drinking and allowing teenagers to drink with them in their home or on vacation in countries that do not have a drinking age. Thank you so much. What do you think about this. I think it's a great latter rain. What do you think like. Where are you on this because this is something that you know. Reasonable people disagree strongly on this one. Yeah no it. Brought me back to anna maria and my my friend in jerusalem and i it just has always stayed with me. I wasn't apparent at the time. But i always thought to myself when i have kids and i get to that stage. I want them to have a glass of wine with me and experience it and it not to be taboo. Because that's when i feel like people go kids go crazy. I think a lot of people are of that mind and actually. I was raised that way that you know having a sip of wine you know my parents wine if we were having dinner Little champagne if they were celebrating. Something was how. I grew up You know and i was still around plenty of highschool drinking and You know. I took a pretty low key approach to in college and i think you know sort of as not as a psychologist but personally i'm like yeah you know. I think we do a lot of work for me. I'm sorta worked for my kids. I think we couldn't vienna perspective So the truth on this one. Rena as far as i've come to understand. It is a psychologist is. You can actually go either way. Like i don't have a strong feeling like you know if have a strong feeling about something. I'll say it. I feel like parents can get this right either by. I'm gonna use finger quotes allowing drinking. You know not finger selena by either by allowing drinking in their home with their underage child or they can get it right by saying no. You know the way the law's set up as you're really not supposed to drink till you're twenty one And we're gonna stick with that what matters to me. Is the conversations get wrapped around it to me. It's much less important. You know what the rule is. It's much more important to me that the parent take advantage of whatever rule they make to have broader conversations about an alcohol in that kid's life.

Because it's easy when you have those the you know the whole like the hope deferred makes the heart sick. Yeah you know like your you allow yourself to is why people say like how do you keep. Can We Trust the U.S. Institutions That Provide Intelligence Briefings?
"So adam schiff who walks out of closed intelligence briefings to tweet out things. He heard to the media bodies behind closed doors. He says you can't trust. Donald trump with intelligence briefings. Let me take back issue from that clown. And just turn it into a serious question for you greg and know you other guy who dealt with the russia hooks the witch hunt can we trust the institutions that are providing the intelligence briefings. I've had very serious guests in studio form officers. Say the doj is done the f. is done send in the us marshals take it apart brick-by-brick and rebuild it because they are so corrupt. What is greg. Jarrett's response to the state of the machinery of justice and intelligence in america. Well you know in. The intelligence community is sort of an oxymoron right And look i. I know a lot of i was talking to a former. Cia senior operations officer just a few hours ago. Today is an incredibly bright man. And he he's disgusted with Some of the intelligence that emanates from our agencies An adam schiff. Of course you know. It's pretty rich for him to be talking about a trust. In that vein. Our institutions are only as good as the people who occupy those institutions and agencies and departments. In when you've got people like adam schiff as a member of congress in either when you've got people like James comey andrew okay. Peter struck Lisa page bruce. John brennan james clapper will of the people who perpetrated the greatest hoax in american history on its people and sought to drive of president from office simply because they disliked tim and made up a infamous lie about him. Director Lisa Joy on Her Ambitious Film, Reminiscence
"Here's more with lisa joy on reminiscence and science fiction for me in order to form a connection with the audience. Your future is has to be as realistic as possible. You know as textured and tactile as possible. And even seven years ago. When i was first writing this it was clear that the oceans were rising. I didn't realize how precious it would turn out to be when the dams that we built on set to act as blockades to the waves literally look exactly like the wednesday. Are currently building miami to act as blockades to the waves but aside from the water aspects of it i really always loved art. Deco and the stretch of ocean drive in miami. It's so beautiful. And evocative and i think i wanted to carry that into the future and saying you know. Just because time passes doesn't mean everything becomes skyscraper. We tend to hold onto the things that we appreciate that we find beautiful same as we did with the memories. We appreciate and find beautiful. So i kept those classical buildings and just weathered them down the help of my credible production designer howard. Cummings to show how the world might look

When Your Kid Shuts You Out
"When psychologists think about emotions and especially when we think about negative emotions. We don't ever think about like how to get rid of them like that's not really what we think is actually possible or necessary what we're always interested in but we've done a terrible job of sharing with everybody else is what we call. Emotional regulation and regulation is basically a two part process. Which is that sometimes. You regulate emotions by expressing them right talking about what you're feeling and sometimes you regulate emotions by containing them. You know kind of shutting them down a little while which sounds like a bad thing but can really be a good thing. Like if you're you know really really worried about something in your getting stuck in your thinking and you're not feeling better the more you think about it taking a break distracting yourself is probably a good idea what i get to in the peace and what comes up in. This question is the issue of extremes or when kids need help so sometimes kids need help containing emotion so we might say you know what i. Don't you just leave this loan for a little while. come back. We'll talk about it later. And then their kids like this one in the letter who need help expressing emotion bringing their emotions across to get some relief and we really do feel that way. You know we talk and we have all these terms like getting things off your chest airing it out. You know like you know dumping your feelings. There is something in those terms that gets at a real thing about how it's not good for us to carry around distress. It's not good to keep it all stuff down that there's true benefit in getting stuff. That's on the inside and putting it on the outside because usually it just feels better when you're not harboring it so much but it's not easy nice. Couldn't doesn't work in every family. It's not easy and especially if teens are known for sort of clamming up not wanting to talk to you what do you find. Works to get them to open up. I'm guessing it's not ice cream if it's not ice cream you got to have something else. So let's think about the something else. Okay so the giant heading on all of this is don't put them in the hot seat right. I think that this you know this mom writing she says to his kitto. Like how's it going. What's going on doesn't get an answer and she's like should i keep asking. I would say no right. You're already getting a pretty clear signal from the kid that like. They feel on the hot seat with that. And you know a kid who doesn't wanna talk about feelings putting them in the hot seat saying to them like. Tell me what's going on. I'm really curious doesn't work as much as we wish. It would

Cities are war-zones biden is in cognitive decline. And everyone hates kamla jesse waters. Is that not a perfect tweet. Does she nailed it. I i wouldn't say the economy sucks but gas prices are through the roof and there's a labor shortage but she really really nailed it right there. It's about management right. You don't even have to make an ideological argument to defeat the liberals this time it's really about poor management. They've broken the bank. They've broken the border. They've broken these cities and now they're trying to break the brains of our school children with critical race theory. They have not managed everything. They're in control of they've just mismanaged it. And these are the kind of things that really have a big impact on regular people. We feel the prices we feel the crime. You know our kids feel that poison being pushed into their brands. We've we feel and we see the immigrants pour in and flood these towns. That's what that's the truth and you can't spin that and they're having a very hard time spinning

"We don't have the luxury of you know a thousand word columns or articles so it's a totally different skill. Actually because i was so mobile for so long. It was obvious in the very beginning that i wasn't going to be very satisfied to just be covering something from afar so from day one as i said before we take the show on the road and we can do that now with technology with as i would say four people we can do a whole newscast from anywhere. We've i've done it from erbil iraq. I mean it's unbelievable. Not we only two people. So i think that for me. Personally i've had this great support from my boss' that say yes. This story is important enough. That the whole show should come. Out of. There isn't just optics. It allows me to actually be reporting on something and if the viewer turns on the newscast at eleven o'clock at night sees that we're you know somewhere it obviously is a message. This story is hugely important. So important that we wanna give more of the show to it's Focus and So i think that's just for me how i've been able to pull this off for for ten years because i still have the right and the ability to travel. And if i didn't about i think it would be more difficult. You may agree that you hit rough waters in october when you ended in a minority government so we look at this tumultuous year you started a majority government you end twenty nine thousand nine hundred and the minority. Give me your perspective on where you personally think you went off track with canadians. Who view you so differently today than they did when this year started conversations. I've had with people during the election and since the election. They still very much want the same things they want to see a government that has their backs. They want to see a government. That's fighting climate. Change they wanna see a government. That's keeping people safe and strengthening gun control. Which are all things that we're going to be doing. and yes. The minority context means. We have to do it with more collaboration with other parties. We have to look to the province is to make sure. We're moving forward in the right way. But i think that's that's that's something that a good government should do in any case and it's certainly something we're going to be doing. But what do you point to for the slide for majority to the i think we're we're looking at a rise of populism around the world. We're looking at at challenges. electoral circumstances. We're looking at lessons that we learned as a government. I think one of the things that we look at as we were able to do an awful lot of really really big things during during our first four years and we weren't always able to get that message out. We were always able to have canadians notice and understand the things we do. You have. Lisa interviewed every canadian prime minister since the the nineteen nineties. I believe how do you go about approaching an interview with the sitting prime minister. Are you looking for an answer. That will give you a clear newsline or are you looking to shape the conversation. That might be a little longer-lasting more universal in its way. Well obviously i'd love a little Breaking news in there. I mean if you can get the prime minister to flip flop on something or Give you something. you didn't already know. It is a challenge interviewing a prime minister. Because they're masters at the talking points and the goal for me is to try to crack that and get below it and i say below it intentionally because there's so much we are not allowed to know. It is the instinct of the politician to to tell us like just the veneer of something and i. I do a massive amount of research. I have to say. I also do a role play with my producer where you know. I'll be the prime minister..

"Right there in honolulu. It was like only a few minutes away and he says they parted on good terms. He had no idea that anything was even wrong until he got candies phone. Call the next morning as law enforcement examines. Lisa's car right away. A couple of things stand out to them one. Her car is dead with the lights and windshield wipers. Still flipped on the on position and the keys are still in the vehicle. But here's the thing it's like. Nothing was completely wrong other than the battery just being drained because as soon as they get the battery charged a little bit the car just starts and remember how. It was like pouring rain when she was driving. Yeah so police notice. That lisa's driver's side window is actually rolled down a few inches enough that the whole inside of her car is soaked with a couple of inches of standing water on the car floor. Making it impossible to dust for prints until the car dries out but police can still search the inside of the car though and as they search everything they find just makes. Lisa's disappearance that much more suspicious. You see lisa's purse a package and some extra clothes all still in her car things that if she left on her own she would have taken with her right but here is the most interesting part of all. Police noticed something very odd about lisa's purse even though her car interior is wet. The purse itself is totally dry. Case suggesting what someone took it out and then put it back at some point. Maybe i mean that's that's what it looks like right. I guess is anything missing out of her purse will. Her wallet was there. So at first glance nothing really jumps out at them but when police actually check inside. Lisa's wallet they discover that her driver's license is missing according to hawaii news. Now police hurry to check the glove box and when they do because they had the sneaking suspicion they find that. Lisa's car. registration is missing too. And as you can imagine that discovery sends chills down investigators spines because they know all too well who asks for those two specific things other police or someone pretending to.

"Eat less question why you're eating. Fill the whole something other than food and find out what that is and there's a lot out there that we can be grateful enough that even if we can't move that much there things that we can love that fill the whole like. What have you used positively. Because i know we. We circled didn't circle back to that. What do you think like like makes you feel really full instead of food. Now i mean inevitably it all goes back and this is like an ancient truth. That is sort of spans all of spirituality buddhism or any of the great religions service right. It's getting out of self. get over yourself. You can't think you're way in the right acting. You have to act away in a right thinking right. So it's gotta be about you know no matter how challenging or tough. We think we have it. There's usually someone else that can benefit from our story and our experience and someone. I mean it's inevitably. It's getting out of self. So i mean i have friends that will literally let me call them and they'll set a timer for how long the let me bitch. Yeah yeah unia five minutes and after that it's just yeah You know it's like elliptical. You're just you know going in a circle right and so for me. That's important and i think an obviously when people have limitations with injury and whatnot. It's harder to move. But i actually find that. The exercise of the movement portion of it is more important now from even the diet. 'cause the diet if when i just did that alone when i first lost a lot of weight it becomes so obsessive and then it becomes like literally. I'm talking about you know. I'm working in one hundred calorie sort of Ratios because it becomes so tight because it is all diet base right but as soon as they started actively be like. Sometimes i'll just walk my kid around and be like i got twenty thousand steps. Yeah i'm good for the day like the kids tired because he doesn't even walk yet. Hang out that poor kid but it allowed me so much more room to say like yeah you know what i can have a little bit of a in quotes cheat every day. Because i've got the room for it. Because when i have to get to dialed in with my diet is when i go nuts absolutely cake. It too strict people. That's why it's black or white thinking never works. You know because that's why people lose tons of weight on the weight watchers or jenny and then key put it right back on because black and white instead of going okay. I ate a little too much today. And that's okay tomorrow. It'll be better and what's great about food versus alcohol. You can say hey. I can start with the next meal. I can start over on the next snack or the next meal instead of with a in all that i mean you lose your frigging ten years sober and you're back today one and it's really really hard. We this you go okay all right so the next thing i put on my mouth. It's going to really me when i'm hungry. And that's it but yet kathleen if you can work on the emotionally leading figure out why you're eating the big thing would be figure out why and don't be yourself up about it first of all because keep accountable without beating yourself up with a huge freaking great way to live and it's difficult but nobody ever made real change by getting yelled at. I mean we've seen that so on. Kathleen god blasts. I'm so happy that you at least wrote because it means like you're willing to look for help which is really cool. Also if you've had like a severe accident or something do like josh. Keep moving because just keep it sounds dirty would keep it looped up yeah just that lube going natural. Yes sir. john's you are such a pleasure. I freaking love you. This is the best. I'm telling you it was so funny when we met. Because i was like okay. This kid can take a joke in a car scene because we were in a car many times together making jewish jokes in italian jokes and each other so everyone hated us. And we can hear you. You know and. I'm like yeah mechanic mother. I love how that stuck with you. Still i'm still sort of shamed by it. I love it well. We'll talk about that next time. I sure we're in part two coming soon. That's right josh again. Find him at s. h. a. Pack on instagram. I get that right judy. I love how you are so famous. You didn't even have to use your real name problem solving has we'll be right back with more. Let lisa help with our segment coach the coach in which my actual clients call in. And tell me how eft up. It's time to coach coach. Hey everybody it's lisa lamp and alley the former queen of me now. The queen of meaning and part of our show is where my real clients get to call in. And tell me how fantastic i am and then tell me how lousy i am as a coach but we all know what i really am a gift today. Our caller on let lisa help is my good friend who was actually one of my great clients. Mikey mike you there. Hey mikey is literally the only client. I have who we go. Hi and bye love. You mean it. And i think that was established because first of all you're a homosexual man is that true of course we all say that. That's how you and i greet each other. Which is nice but one. Oh it's great about coaching you. First of all other than the fact that you work on yourself you do your homework. You order the books you read them and you move forward. You also get down to serious business. You don't dick around a lot and joke around and try to deflect so have you always been the kind of guy who can work on themselves or resist sort of new. I have worked on myself in the past. But it just depends on if i'm really really down for a hundred percent because if i'm not interested in something that i'm just not gonna do it right. So what was it about. You know hearing that i had switched to coaching. That made you say i want to start working on some issues. I have because. I think i looked at your life. Transformation i was like oh my god like the queen of ninjas. Change her whole life around. Anybody can yeah. I mean if it's like lisa can do it. Who couldn't now. I get what you mean. It's like we kind of always have to look for those examples of other people who say wait a minute like that's a person who sort of in my wheelhouse and i can emulate what they've done. So what was the first big issue you and i worked on. I think it was more. So just figuring out my lace plan the end where the steps. I need to take to get to where i wanna be. Yeah because when you first started talking to me you were like look gotta get out of the state i live in. I don't know there's no opportunities for me. There and i was like well. Then let's put together an action plan where you can actually achieve something that you want to achieve depending on what that is so you had bright before you met me done reality show correct. Yeah okay and what's what was that. If there's any twelve-year-old listeners. Right now. I'm sure they've seen the on. Mtv catfish ooh. I'm so popular. Twelve year olds. I'm here with josh peck by special guests and josh thank you so much for coming and this has been so much fun but before you go. I have some listeners who are desperate for advice so desperate. They'll even listen to us. I can't wait. So here's the first one this is from kathleen and she writes. I was in a severe car accident in two thousand fourteen. So this is going to be like accommodate one which resulted in many surgeries and many metal plates out your rods and screws to be inserted into my body while that does not sound fun. Unless it's a sexual thing. I gained seventy pounds of the result of the inactivity. I've tried ice. Oh janik. I don't know what that is. Do you know what that is josh. I is it i think. It's like a fasting program like shakes eissa. Genyk saw gross and working out with a trainer three times a week. I lost twenty pounds. But no more than i feel depressed and eat. Oh my god. I'm lost inside. Can you help josh. i'm telling you. That's why i got weight loss surgery because honestly seven years ago. I had that bottom where i was like. You know what when you get to a certain age or were you can't move like kathleen. Can't you've just go dude. I'm going to stick with this twenty pound loss. Then look in the mirror hate myself get depressed. Eat more. Get depressed at how i look. And it's a vicious cycle at numbers stops so for someone in the position of hey. I can't really move that much. I keep losing the same amount. The lousy twenty pounds and the depression leads to eating eating depression. What would you advise at raw. Well you know the thing. And i don't know how limited she is movement wise but i would say. Look richard simmons. I was the king of that. Right right right. He found a way to bring movement to people who were either severely much much more overweight. Or maybe we're just dealing with the fact that they didn't want to go to a gym wanted be at home sweating to the oldies so any movement is better than no movement. That's true and can definitely helped spark everything you know. There's a simple as people. Always ask me how. I lost weight and i wish i had a secret other than like you. Got to burn more calories than you can sam and but inevitably like an addition to the eating healthy portion of it which there's so many said this all diets work if you stick to it but the reality is is that i think there's the emotional side too because as she said there's that and so i think you know that's where you're the expert with. Yeah that whole like getting depressed in eating ice still seven years after that. Frigging surgery work every single day on emotional eating even driving here today. I was like okay. My physically hungry. No not yet and my physically hungry okay. Now i am. Because if i start eating when i'm not physically hungry it just goes yet last night i'll admit it. I went to dance class. And i was like. I bet i won't be hungry when i get home yet. I had a. I'm smart enough not to have sweets in the house. Because that's the devil to me and it makes me just crazy. But i'm like online have a little snack in bed with the dog. You get like that because and and it's just like i'm being a big baby but you know what. I ate a small enough amount today to allow that so it's almost like using food in the wrong way but at least i did it in a small way. Sure so for someone kathleen who i totally. I have a very good friend who has had many metal plates in car accidents. Move as much as you can or as little and honestly we all know is eighty to ninety percent of it. it's really not the movement and is much. The movement for her almost seems that it could be more about keeping the muscles going and got not getting stiff. So i think kathleen if you could. I would first of all look into getting some therapy about emotional eating because whenever we eat over problem then we have what two problems because that freaking food does not solve it so i would see somebody if possible. See a coach. Maybe paly slammed pinelli minimal. Some which is a fantastic deal. She accepts bitcoin. i do. i'm very jape. I accept food but yeah and don't be lost and sat over. Its that's what's makes me sad when he said i'm lost in sad because you know it's kind of a formula. Hey.

"Air coming to that wreck. Playing that funky disco. Wendy was was that really. The first print song that you ever heard was the very first print song i ever heard. I was underage at nightclub in l. A. called the starwood which is infamous in. Its own right. It had a rock and roll room and then it had a discussion room. And this is nineteen summer of seventy eight and i was underage was probably between the was thirteen or fourteen and my sister and i went to. This club. snuck out of the house. Sh- sorry dad. Sorry mom and i was on the disco floor baby and the dj put that record on. And i was completely mess and mind you. I will always a funky kid. I loved everything that was funky. I loved everything that was soulful. My favorite records. Were all the deepest darkest of all the funk records in the seventies. And then. I wanted to be john mclaughlin from havana. Sh- new so. I was a complicated. Listen wait what were the what. What were you like listening to like mandrell or something. Sure i listened to manual. Yes of course it did. I also listened to most thirteen thirteen-year-old deep. I was deep. You can't i mean my friend. Q tip and i send records back to each other to see whether or not we can stump each other with that era and we he can't stump me. He can't stop me he just can't good yeah so So by that time. I was on the dance floor and i was. I heard that record. I ran up to the dj. Knows like oh my god. Who is that girl. I thought it was a girl i did and he said no. It's not a girl. It's young kid named prince and that be started my love affair. I was completely obsessed with him. And then when i found out lisa had gotten that gig on the dirty mind record and she really didn't know who he was an. I got wind of it back eastward. I was going to school. And i was like. Does she have any idea who she just got a gig with. And then i came back to l. a. one summer and went to the coleman's house and lisa was back from minnesota just from her audition and put on the cassette of dirty mind. And i heard. Lisa's say i'm just a virgin. And i'm on my way to be wed and i lost my mind. I couldn't believe i couldn't believe it. I couldn't talk to. Because i i didn't know prints i i didn't know his music was really. You know kind of a snob. I think when i think about it i was heavy into classical and was really focused on that and then all of a sudden ended up in prince's bannon's it seemed like a real. It was cognitive dissonance. You know what but she was. It was it was perfect prince happened. Yeah tell and prince happened. That's exactly right and then that happened. Yeah and he. He adored her. Because you know he could kinda do everybody. And everybody's position and ban. He could outdo you. You know what i mean. He couldn't do. Lisa tried for years and years to do to be lisa to do to channel her when he'd play piano and he could never do it. And so he kind of away think coveted the fact that She was so singular and Such a singular voice musically and. I think it's probably one of the more important musical relationship he's ever had because of that. I mean when i think of dirty mind. Which is maybe my favorite prints record. Certainly one of my favorite records of all time. Same here like yeah. I mean you know when you when you talk about like prince just a couple years earlier you think like this is a person capable of immense greatness and then you listen to dirty mind and you're like oh wow this says not light up the entire is not and it's it's. It's only thirty two minutes long. And it's it's so groundbreaking. Every time i talk to people about prince and they're like wanna know what. Do a deep dive. I say you. You have to listen to dirty mind. I mean that's where he was the most sweaty dirty uncomfortable yet convicted and dark and yet sexy and playful and manipulative and smart and what he was doing with sounds by trying to take that new wave era and put it into a funk environment to try and outdo like the rick james of the world's and the zaps of the world and all that kind of he was it was everything it was and then he looked like this weird like transgender check. He looked like a guinea like he could have been in. You know Paris is burning. I mean just what the only other person that had done anything. That was david bowie. But he didn't. David wasn't even that person off off the microphone. He became like a really kind straight guy. Prince was that guy off. The sound of dirty mind is is what i think of the most in a lot of that sound is keyboards. So where did all those sounds come from when you first started with prince and you're like walking in cold Into this weird situation like where did all that stuff come from. He was really specific with that stuff. He would most often already have a sound picked out and he would just point me to it and say here play this play the sound and and he was not afraid of presets back then and you know they were still new. You know you'd get an arp omni or something and had you know three buttons that you could choose you know censored since string or just string like wow. This is the magic combination right. This prince was just turn everything up just like his philosophy was pin. It pin the meters to spin it. Just anything in life you know.
