"You're feeling some anxiety depression as a result of these traumatic circumstances. That have happened to you. Know i thought that. I did like a pretty decent job at expressing that i was depressed and anxious because a lot of those things happened happened to me and now i don't feel depressed anxious because i feel really grounded and happy life but i still am suffering with adhd oecd and then she prescribing an s. sri as an antidepressant and antianxiety and. I not being a doctor was like okay. So we'll vats also help with the symptoms that i'm experiencing like adhd she was like well. I think when you're less anxious you won't have so much trouble focusing. And i was like focusing is like the lisa. My word is when it comes to my. Adhd like it's putting food on the stove and walking away. Because i got distracted. And i started painting forgetting that i had something on the stove or the fact that i completely abandoned every other piece of work in my life to paint for six days day and night street and it was dreaming in paint strokes and couldn't stop thinking about anything painting and then got a tattoo of my painting like. That's the shit. I'm talking abou is like focusing on things so intensely that i put myself in a bad mood like trigger myself and make myself anxious because i can't stop obsessing over certain things or the fact that i had an appointment cancels like it was just a recording session and like i really excited to record my vocals on a song and He was feeling sick the night before so he canceled. Which of course you know what i mean like. It's cova. thank you first cancelling that session but because my schedule was fucked up it like i couldn't get out of it and i'm still in it like i've been anxious since that moment since My schedule changed. And it's been like a struggle to like be a person or productive the last few days because i'm so thrown by the fact that we didn't go.

"28 Heavy Mayday aircraft just experienced. Oh, thank you Feel ready to turn immediately? Today we're hearing the 911 calls that immediately began coming in from people on the ground. They thought the plane had gone down. Yeah, sure. We got the brief falling everywhere. We're getting a ton of calls. Thank you. You're playing incident? Yeah, they thought the entire planet blown our airplane that will explode in the air. Or we're gonna have the exact location on 21. This is gonna be Caroline, and it looks like it exploded their parts everywhere. But united 3 28 was able to return to Denver intact, minus most of its right engine, badly damaged on fire and spinning the focus Right now, Lisa is on these older Pratt and Whitney engines of Red Whitney of four thousands that this United aircraft was the fifth Triple Seven ever built in the mid nineties. They've got a look at the engine fan Blades said they had the NTSB says that one snap Dogs get another one snap that one in the middle. Then there was uncontained, uncontrolled engine failure, And then everything began to fall apart from there. The engine fan blades in the Bratton Whitney engines are titanium hollow titanium there If you think of Ah, Chocolate Easter Bunny. That's kind of what they're like in the way that they're built, and the question now are their potential flaws in the metal early on, or do they degrade over time united in 2018 on the sister ship to this one, had a similar issue with Their engine flying again to Honolulu. But over the Pacific Ocean of that time, Japan Airlines had one a year ago. And so now in these older triple Sevens, the question is. Why does this keep happening? And the NTSB and FAA want to know now? And how many planes might we be talking about Alex? Well, at least four United they've got 52 of them, but only 24 in service. The others are on the ground and in storage right now, because of the pandemic, slow down or other issues that they're not flying them so they are. Grounding those 24. Then there are some here and there around the world. I think there were around with the Bratton Whitney's the number. I saw this not exact number, but around 200 globally that have those engines or were built with those engines. Not all of them are still in service. The numbers have come way down. But a lot of the airlines are still flying Triple Sevens but different either newer models with different model engines or different makers. Rolls Royce also makes Triple seven engines, So a lot of airlines have gone with those. This is very specific to that. The older Triple seven with the 200 variant with the older crowd in Whitney, four thousands. Those are the ones very specifically which again United owns quite a few of them. So does J L N a. "That's when the Fed would get concerned, But I think that you know, seeing the 10 year yield just above 1% does not yet seem to be a level whereby those long and rates are really beginning to bite in terms of the real economy and broader financial conditions Mark Rohnert to the bull market. And the equity space whether it's double digit tech returns, even what we're beginning to see in small cap recovering so nicely. We forget that if I look at Bloomberg Barclays Total return It's been a persistent bull market of higher price, lower, yield and years space. Have we forgotten what a bond bear market is? To some extent, yes, given that U. S interest rates have recently been at historic lows on the equity market did incredibly well despite the pandemic, and I think that the market is going to have to adjust to the notion that long and interest rates will be rising. Now again, we think that this rate rise will not necessarily constrain the economy in a material way if it does the federal step in, But I think investors we're gonna have to get accustomed to the fact that they should expect to see a twist. The prices of bonds go down to some extent as rates three price and growth and inflation does pick up over time. We welcome all of you on this historic day in Washington, Mark Cabana of the Bank of America with US Here on rates, and we do this with futures, red and green in the screen a little bit better tape than three hours ago. The yield 1.1% Mark Cabana, I want you to talk to savers out there, not the fancy guys like you doing fancy hedging strategies and trying to manage with a higher price. Higher. Yield lower price. Milieu. What does the average person do in fixed income if you're telling me higher yield and lesser price? Yes. So I think that if you're a savor, what you want to do is that you want to carefully think about extending out the curve, trying to pick up some additional yield. Based upon your own risk tolerance in your comfort level. Maybe think about moving into the corporate space more than the government space. But you're gonna have to be careful and you're gonna have to recognize that you wanna leg into this strategy over time because we do anticipate that rates will be slowly rising. If you're an institutional investor, what you want to do is that you probably want to Hugh a little bit shorter on your overall duration allocation, as do re price higher. Now we do think that it's great that we're seeing rates move today, given some of the news out of Georgia and the implications that it has for Washington, But we still think that fundamentally the big great re pricing that we'd see towards 1.5% will likely take place in Q two or later. Again as the vaccine is rolled out, And as we get more information, the economy is indeed recovering on a price. He'll basis the fancy guys talk about duration and the second derivative convexity, which I'm gonna call acceleration guys like you call it Gammon up. I don't make a general gamba means I have no idea what gamma means. How about Convexity? Mark? Kid? Banna, what is going to be the accelerated forces as we go through 2001. Also as we go through 2021 11 more thing. We do think we're going to see again is that sell off? That will likely really accelerate again from Q two onwards. Q. One is gonna have a very significant head went from Cove it We don't know how effective the anybody treatments will be to the new strain of the vaccine. We don't know how quickly vaccines will be rolled out. But after that is generally behind us. We do think that rates will need to re price to the new reality of Strong fiscal fairy tale wins and the fact that we're likely going to see the economy operate meaningful E above trend from Q two through the end of the year, and that we think is going to take rates higher. So we do expect to see a more accelerated move leader in the And today, it just seems like the market is reprising a bit more to the fact that you need to sign Hi rods to a democratic control of the Senate. Then you did previously marked Obama. Thank you. So much of the Bank of America this morning, Lisa, come on. I got to go over to you, Lisa. Fancy words here convincing and all the acceleration of price down and yield up Lisa that's positively blooming. I mean, it's always everything so gloomy. You could always paint it from some gloomy perspective. I mean, otherwise, I wouldn't be true to my name. Look, I will say looking at the bond market. There's a real question of what contrive yields higher. I mean, it was really interesting to hear marks a 1.5%. You gotta think of a time when you've got record amounts of negative yielding debt around the world that 1% would look like high yield at what 10.2 buyers start coming in. I don't know, Tom. That seems reasonable, considering the fact that you know, investment grade bonds are building 2%. Not that money. We make jokes about this folks. But I would say that media business media is about 85% equity markets and they toss in a morsel about bonds. Here and there. But Lisa, I'm sorry. What we're talking about is yield up. Whether it's a politics of President Biden and others in price down and it retail. It's easy. You get three months of your statement, and you know you're losing money and you're upset institutionally is Mr Cabana mentioned these air. Really? These are great challenges into, say Fourth of July. Gina Martin Adams of Bloomberg Intelligence yesterday made an incredible point that one of the reasons why evaluations of equities It looked so good right now, even though they're so high on a historic basis is because of how low yields are. At what point do yield start to look more attractive. Given how high valuations are stocks have become the new bonds to so many investors. When does that reverse? And how much does that challenge the feds hand? Regardless of what the economy does, Tom back to the politics of the moment here and of course, last night 10:11 p.m. one a. M. "In November of Nineteen Eighty. Five twenty two year old. Lisa reported to flight school at United States Naval Air Station. In Pensacola Florida. She soon moved into the military base on West Michigan Avenue. Her boyfriend rich was already stationed there and he wasted no time in helping her feel at home and she had another reason for excitement. The next launch of the Challenger was scheduled for liftoff as Diane Fanning described. Lisa had paid close attention to the news of the preparations because the launch would be the second in. Us history to carry more than one woman. In addition to experienced astronaut Judith Resnik and her five male colleagues civilian teacher Christa. Mcauliffe would also travel up in the shuttle as part of NASA's teachers in space program despite the clear. Pr Machinations Behind Christopher's presence on the shuttle. Lisa likely would have been encouraged by the inclusion of another woman. Nevertheless it's unclear. If Lisa watched the challenger launched live but her desire to become an astronaut herself suggests she probably did along with the rest of the world. Twenty two year old. Lisa likely sat on her couch on January twenty eighth nineteen eighty six her eyes fixed on the screen as NASA commentator. You Harris counted down t minus fifteen seconds t minus ten nine eight seven six. We have main engine start four three two one and liftoff liftoff of the twenty fifth space shuttle mission it was majestic a modern day miracle and it never got old not for the. Floridians perched up on rooftops. There is trained towards the sky nor for Christa. Mcauliffe's students gathered in their school auditorium blowing on party horns as their teachers shuttle took off and it must have felt particularly special for Lisa. She was probably surrounded by her boyfriend rich and the rest of her friends down at the base and as she watched the Challenger ascend perhaps Lisa imagined her own transcendence the day that she would also climb into a rocket ship and take flight. And then a puff of gray smoke spurted out from the challengers right. Booster a flicker sparked and grew into a flame. Then as the students in the auditorium. The people on rooftops and Lisa herself watched the Challenger shuttle exploded. There were seven astronauts inside the Challenger when it blew to pieces seven people who like Lisa had worked their entire lives in service of this one. Goal this singular dream as Lisa watched the wreckage of that dream. Fill her screen. Maybe it dawned on her. For the first time the danger she was risking the misery. She quoted in her single-minded bid to if just momentarily float weightless among the stars two years after the Challenger. Tragedy on April Ninth Nineteen Eighty eight twenty five year old. Lisa married her longtime boyfriend rich in the chapel at the US Naval Academy author. Diane Fanning wrote that though filled with love the service was shorter than a typical Catholic ceremony. Only about thirty minutes in total after exchanging vows rich and Lisa led the party out of the sanctuary. Outside naval officers formed an archway with their raised ceremonial swords. They blocked Lisa and riches passage until as ceremony dictated the to turn towards each other and kissed. The officers raised their swords clearing the path forward and Lisa and rich Ram through the arch as their family and friends cheered them on the kiss. The wedding was a statement of hope. A prayer for the years ahead and for Lisa. Perhaps it acted as a rebirth after the horror of the Challenger explosion NASA's next shuttle the discovery took off without incident on September. Twenty Ninth Nineteen Eighty eight days. Later on October third discovery landed safely too much jubilation for NASA successful shuttle. Landing was not only a relief. It saved the space program astronaut. Rick how commander of the discovery said it had to work. We couldn't afford to lose another vehicle much less another crew. I don't think the manned space flight program could have withstood another challenger. Lisa felt that her dream of becoming an astronaut had been rescued from the ashes as well so she jumped at the chance to take on her next naval assignment for her next role. Twenty five year. Old Lisa was transferred to Oxnard California. She joined the Navy's Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron the job required Lisa to master flying to military aircrafts. She knew that by proficiently manning these planes. She could demonstrate her fitness for the government's astronaut program. So like she'd done so often in her life. She said about distinguishing herself. Her abilities were not lost on her superiors. They soon promoted. Lisa to mission commander and electronic warfare lead then as Lisa was proving her medal in the navy. A watershed moment in world history occurred. The Berlin Wall fell just like that the. Ussr was no more though. This event had worldwide ramifications. It was particularly significant for the American space program. America's participation in the space race had received widespread public support and massive amounts of funding because the US government had always positioned space as yet another frontier where they could prove their dominance over the Soviet Union. Now that the Soviet Union was no more. An awkward question arose did the US. Space Program still even have a reason to exist. Nasa answered the question with a resounding yes opting to cooperate with Russian cosmonauts. Now that they'd been soundly put in their place. It was the genesis of a new frontier in American Russian diplomacy. As for Lisa she too was entering a new phase of her life breaching new ground in February nineteen ninety. Two Lisa Nowak gave birth to her first child. Alexander and yet despite this major life event. Lisa's career didn't slow down in the slightest author. Diane Fanning wrote that a month after the birth in March Lisa earned a master's of science degree in `aeronautics engineering. She followed this by earning an engineering degree `aeronautics and Astronautics in September as. She juggled her studies with being a new mom. Lisa also managed to squeeze in applying to the Navy's test pilot school competition to gain admittance into the program was fierce so much so that Lisa a stellar candidate was rejected on five separate occasions. But it wasn't in Lisa's nature to take no for an answer so she applied again and on the sixth time she was accepted in a later interview with Ladies Home Journal. Lisa stated I basically came to test pilot school with a nine month old baby and it was definitely a challenge to do the flying and take care of a baby but I learned. I could do it and yet. Despite Lisa's measured words it's possible she downplayed the strain of Juggling motherhood and being an active member of the navy after all Lisa wanted to be an astronaut and the US government had long promoted the image of the infallible rocket man hyperfocused and capable this embodiment of the right stuff was always more. Tomasson than human being let alone anything remotely maternal. It's possible Lisa felt pressure to live up to that ideal even before becoming an astronaut especially since studies suggest that balancing work with motherhood isn't merely challenging as Lisa claimed in the interview it can be punishing psychologist. Barbara Reichel and Leo Montana found that for new mothers. Parenthood can occur as a crisis ushering in ill effects such as depression and dysphoric states. Furthermore many first time mothers report conflict and strain even more so when they're employed and compared with their husbands the decline in satisfaction of first time. Mothers is faster the drop larger. This discrepancy in satisfaction rates between new. Mothers and fathers is likely because studies have found that new mothers often take on the bulk of household and child rearing duties this division of Labor persists even said new. Mother also works outside of the home. It's unclear what the exact division of Labor in Lisa's home was. If her household resembled the average Americans she was likely responsible for the bulk of the child rearing and house maintenance tasks. In addition to her duties at the navy such a burden could not have been easy to shoulder. Adding.
