"They're like two kinds of match. One is the matchup that has a clear favourite and a clear underdog. The other one is this Sweden against Canada. I just I got no clue. I don't really know if I can, if I have the brains to figure out the difference between this team to figure out who's going to win tomorrow. I they're perfectly even almost I, I don't know what do you think is gonna happen? I can't reminds me of Norway to three cycles ago like the Norway's of old like the hit it long and hit pick up the second ball. Look for Christine Sinclair in the box, who's just appear finish or even though her better days, pastor in terms of speed and fitness her ability to find the back of the net has not when it's when she can put herself in the right position. So the question is Sweden to me. I, I know it Canada is candidate will be tough to break down. But we saw some vulnerabilities and their back four. So once you get past that midfield, which usually likes to prevent service into the forwards. There are some vulnerabilities now. The question is, how good is Sweden's frontline. Sexiness. Look, better role full needs to start and play in role foes on she's a left-winger has been is an incredible player. Lots of speed can cut it in if. If they wanna play on the right and be an inverted winger, or they can get our end line depends on where they think the weaknesses are for Canada. She's going to be key. And you have Yaacob sin, as well as speed an us Lonnie underneath the biggest thing, though is going to be the goalkeeper Lindell Lindell, the goalkeeper looks like she struggled on pieces in struggled under decision making in the group stage, especially since the United States Lindahl was one of the best keepers traditionally through a couple of cycles but she's a little bit older. The key thing is she's been injured. And she was injured all year starting keeper at Chelsea those injuries during the season. She got put it second, and then she can never get away back. She is lacking game minutes in that is expecting her decision making, I was concerned judging her playing in the United States. So really that is the big challenge is how good as Lindell who good. I don't know how can it's going to beat them. So who do you think or who are you more confident in Lindahl Orla bay? Oh, because if you're going to say Lindahl issue, I'm put come right back, and you're saying, look, Labbe has not, you know. Day is actually equally as dodgy offensive but I think l'abbaye is more athletic than Lindahl. So when it comes to those at Lubbock saves the shop stopper, I think she is going to save those, but when it comes to decision making. I think we know is gonna stay more within her like she's going to be safer it just matters. What type of shots, she's going to face. So I think Sweden is a little bit faster than them on the wings upfront. But I think overall the collective speed of Canada is faster than Sweden. So is just going to matter how good the centre-back pairing Fisher, and some brand is the contain Sinclair, as well as Jessie. Fleming. The youngster hereto might play with Sma for Canada. But I just wasn't that impressing..

"Water partner, you are climbing a tree much like Rick Devon's day. It's just a family tree set of an idol tree. Okay. Mic. Let's get back to the voicemails. And let's pick up with a question that I think is an interesting one that is from Lindell and Marc Staal ya. In the seasons where there's a really lopsided edit. This storyline really doesn't make a lot of sense until after thing. Finale lucky garland, for example, I think the story being told here's of the first thirteen nothing win up. Otherwise, I think Devon's is coming forth, and this is the weirdest go to edit that I have ever seen. I don't know what the hell's going on. What do you think the story of the season is? Thank you. And congrats Mike. Okay. Thank you, Lindell Lindell. I just shut Lindell the most full bloom wand offer, there is my husband's out to her in every way that was very clean voicemail from Lindell. Very very closely for you. Okay. Mike. Do you think that Rick Devon's could be on his way to a thirteen zero win on Wednesday night? First off it is insane. That yes, we've been going on nineteen years, I survivor, but the fact that we're talking about possible thirteen to nothing jury vote is one of the most regard, Deb, dick Yetlis things. I've heard all right. So here's what I wanna do so thirteen let's forget about thirteen zero. This is the question. I want to ask you that. Do you think that if Rick Devon's goes on to win the game? Will he set the record for the most votes cast for a winner of season? I think in most he will tie. Okay. So so you're you're calling. He will not get more than ten. Yeah. So here's here's what I'm thinking. Sort of sketched out my own little final three here, and knowing how roll my predictions are on the offer mention being be do not take this as any sort of gospel. But the way I feel like I'm partially seeing it again, this is all affected by who comes back from E, which will definitely talk about..

"Zuccarello Todd tallied five points for plus three Sagan's zuccarello, Ben Roger all of nine points in the playoffs. They get balanced scorn. But the big play in this game was Esselin del doing the triple Indian the corner half the battling puts but Souso he gets called for the dive Tuesday for the slash. But the whole hockey world was all over. Hockey comical have this. Well that was a game three. Okay. Right. I'm sorry. I thought my notes up. That's fine mowers. So let's go back to game three variant tents game. Of course, the topic of conversation was virtues. Oh, and Lindell Lindell went down three times, first of all I thought it was hilarious because it wasn't me crosschecking them, and I have no skin in that series. So it was kind of funny because he gets to go on Twitter and just read all the people. And then all of a sudden Amine start flying everywhere thought, it was Lou Gary very interesting how sometimes the hockey gods just loved to show up and then sure shit on that game winter Patty, maroon scored he gave Lindell little shove in the back now. Hey, you try to make a fool the referees out there young kids, you know, sometimes they might see the next one and say fuck, you you dove in the last year, you fucker, I call and shit. You fucking stand up on those who cried cannonball. So Patti maroon gets away with a little bit of a push off. And then goes off to the side of the net. Nice little play to him. He goes back into forehand rate fuck in the net and that being the game winner. So that was a huge swing a momentum. Of course, they get to steal one in Dallas. And now they're playing with the houses money because even if they lose game for they get to go home tied to two. So I thought that was very interesting. I believe at the start of game three as well. Dallas Stars fan Chuck's of beer at the Saint Louis bench. It's chaos down there pandemonium. I don't know. If you saw that RA. I I saw the clip I online I wasn't sure what the whole story was like such an asshole thing to do fuck and like throw a full beer at a fucking. Why when you drink it? "Chilly so chilly weekend to frankly, broke some records there. And while you're bundled up by the fire this weekend, a lot of stuff happens. So it's what you missed Monday. I'm gonna fill you all in on that also the legislature is looking to ditch the death penalty love to hear your thoughts on that. We'll get to that later on in the show. Also talk to an expert on education about some things sneaky the legislature is trying to do to get to take fun away from charter school is like. Charter schools tend to make up tend to get a little less money than regular public schools. So yeah, let's take a little they shall we. Yes. Feeling a little cynical? But before we get to any of that, we give some bad news. Tenant this morning that Kyle forty who. Just twenty nine years old is one of four American tourists and a Kenyan pilot who died in in Kenya. It's a helicopter accident. And it's really sad about that. He we I'm sure I had him on the show at some point. He just done a ton of great political work. He he was Brian Watson guy that ran for treasury. Was it was. He was the campaign. We ran a campaign for that. It's just a lot of different things. Really smart really nice and really well respected on both sides of the aisle. And it just I just feel sad is only twenty nine years old. He's married, and he and his wife hope or foster parents. And surely a great advocates for foster care and. Just sad twenty nine years old. And anyway, there's a gofundme me account. That's kind of the way we give tribute to those who've been who've lost their lives prematurely. Particularly if they've got a spouse her kids, and I know that Brian Watson set up a go fund me account. You can not too hard to find those things that I just gotta go fund me. And then type in Kyle forty if you're if you're still inclined but keep his wife in in your prayers. I twenty nine years old so still still thinking about that all day. So would you miss this Monday? Well, let's start off with something a little bit on the lighter side shall because it's getting heavier from here on out. And of course, I am going to talk about Hickenlooper finally made it official. We know. We know he's been wanting to do this for a couple of years. Anyone who writes an autobiography if they're in politics, so kind of? Goes like this. If you are an elected member of really anybody you could be it could be like the Littleton city councilman. If you write an autobiography, though, it basically means you've got presidential ambitions is just what everybody does they write a book. And after they've done writing the book, then you start to hint around like, maybe I could run for president. And the key is to make it sound like you're being asked like not that you have just ambitions that you're being asked. Now is the time. Now, I never really wanted to go there. But I really do feel like now's the time for someone like me to step it up. They all do this seriously Republican democrat not that I would ever run for president. Because I mean, I think it'd make a pretty good legislator, and maybe that's in the cards for the future, but executive executive power music chewy texture like, you know, have big staff, and like, what do you call it when you break apart little projects, and you give them to people Ryan what's the word for that? L gate delegate. You gotta delegate, and you should actually even. Know the word delegate, which apparently I don't even know that and you had to be on time. And you have to know where you're going, and you have to remember stuff and details, none of those are my thing. I'm kind of a big picture, you know, philosophy give speeches design legislation like that. I can do. But this whole idea of like delegation, and yeah, no. So I will never be running for for executive office. Not mayor governor, certainly not president. So if I write an autobiography, I'm not quite sure what that would say would definitely not say, I'm running for executive office. But most people is they're going to figure Brennan, that's that's what they do. It's part of the part of the timeline. So we will get to that as you can imagine. I have a slightly different take on the situation. Then then my my my warm up act. Are you hearing me, Dan? All right. I I heard tie. But but Dan Caplis who show runs before mine. He he's not a big fan of of of Hickenlooper. So, but my take is just a little bit different as you can imagine and will actually have John Hickenlooper on probably in a couple of days were hashing that out as we speak. He's been on a couple of times interviewed him a couple of times. And frankly, I like him, and I'll tell you why when we get to that point in the show. So a couple of things that you miss this weekend. We'll start on the light side. So if Florida man apparently was threatening his family with Coldplay lyrics, which is pretty scary. Pretty scary. Also saying that he was going to have his quote Nazi prison associates go after his family members, arguably worse than than Coldplay lyrics. But so he's barricaded in his house. And the only way they were able to end the four hour standoff is at the police offer to give him a fresh slice of pizza. And you know, what there isn't much? I wouldn't do I slice of pizza. I love pizza. So I totally understand that he ended the standoff and an open the door to police, of course, they arrested him and took his took him away. I'm thinking, he's probably a little bit crazy. And the police officer said this never under estimate the power of pizza with flavored crust at he added that he cannot comment on the rumors about pineapple being on said pizza because that's a operational security. Secret. I will say this pizzas. One of those foods that I could almost eat off like the street, an almost an I wouldn't I would not eat a piece of pizza. I've found in the street, but for a split second. I would be tempted. I love pizza that much. I don't care if it's frozen pizza. I don't care if it's like gross pizza. I don't care if it's been out all night like I've accidentally left pizza overnight, and then ate it for breakfast. Like, that's how I feel about pizza. So I, you know, I. I could see why it's used to lure crazy nut balls out of their apartment. One more a little bit of late to keep your commute to a little bit happy out there in the frozen city. So Minnesota police they were called to do a welfare check. There was a deep concern. Now, keep in mind that it's even colder in Minnesota than it is here is pretty darn cold here, but it was super cold in this in Minnesota town and somebody called and they said there was a dude hugging a pillow, and he didn't have a coat on. He was just standing there in the cold hugging a pillow, and it was terrifying. They didn't want to go out and like talk to the guy because he could be crazy. Like, what's in the pillowcase, buddy? But he version was was pretty concerned. So they called nine one one this deranged person is obviously, you know, possibly mentally ill. Please come out. It is a turned. It was a cardboard cutout of the my pillow guy. Andy Lindahl in the Lindell Lindell, Lindahl, whatever the guy with the big mustache who looks like he came right out of a seventies adult film, my pillow inventor, and you know, what I actually have my pillow. It's pretty nice pillow. I would probably if I were him rethink the mustache. But yeah, my pillow cut out drew the police to what was a welfare check turned out to be nothing more than just a cardboard cutout. So you know, you may have missed a couple of things also former Greenpeace Canada, president sits some not nice things about good old Alexandria, Cossio Cortez. And of course, he he weren't dialed into Twitter this weekend, you might have missed it. But purely the man this is Patrick more. Former Greenpeace Canada, president not a huge fan of MS Cossio Cortez called her a pompous little twit. Quote, you don't have a plan to grow food for eight billion people without fossil fuels or get food into cities horses. The fossil fuels were banned. Every tree in the world would be cut down for fuel for cooking and heating. You would bring about mass death. I couldn't be better. Who was that? Again, that was Patrick more. Former Greenpeace candidate president tweeted that at all at Alexandria, Cosio Cortez, and you know, what he's dead on his head on if we didn't have fossil fuels. I also wonder like how is how is the islands in the Pacific Hawaii and other Samoan so forth. If we have to sail there because there's no more airplanes or ships that use diesel fuel or airplanes that use airplane fuel. How? How are we gonna get stuff out to those guys? I thinking sailing that's going to take awhile now, Krista. I get behind maybe a plan for a transition of an evolution of using energy that by twenty fifty or something gets us there. But for her to just kind of cross her arms and say, well, at least I came up with an idea just because you're a bad idea valid when it's like ninety three trillion dollars to implement. I'm not quite sure I don't I don't have that kind of cash sitting around and as a nation were already twenty two trillion dollars in debt. Our GDP is somewhere around twenty trillion dollars. I don't. Yeah. I don't see it happening. And so I could owes to to to Mr. Greenpeace there. I he's no longer with Greenpeace. I'm pretty sure they don't want him to come back after that twit that tweet. Sorry that tweet the tweet at a twig. If you will his words his words, not mine. What else did you miss this weekend? Well, you missed there was some interesting speeches at CPAC. And of course, the president's spoke. And then before that, I think it was actually on Friday Mike Pence Spokane CPAC, it's interesting so CPAC is a yearly event. It is. Sometimes just you nuts. It's usually in Washington DC, don't if it's always there when I was at the Heritage Foundation actually spoke at CPAC of with. No, I was not a headliner speech. But I did get out there doing the the day hours. I think there's probably about three thousand people in the crowd and making it the largest crowd. I've ever spoken to. And and there's only like, I don't know five ten minutes speech, but it's kind of fun and a lot of good stuff. But a lot of good speeches at those those events if you. If you're conservative. It is good red meat event. But I do I just want to pick a couple of things out that vice President Mike Pence had to say because I think they're worth hearing. If you missed it. This is not about us..

He's picked to have massive breakfast. Whatever you're using week for the secret location. We never know. All right. Michael back to your long winded story about your career in film. Oh, well, thank you very much. I will lead to your career in photography. Well, what I was trying to get to was the fact that there's many ways to access imaging show. You can be caustic. You can be traditional photographer. I mean, I think we're in a actually in a golden age of photography right now with all the digital options that are coming down the line. And I think we need to learn from the past Renisha earned from f sixty four Ansel Adams stuff like being taught at community college. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And and I think we don't want to be subject to the technology, but we need to use that technology, and it gives us so many options, and I'm because I was involved in the motion picture transition from photochemical to digital. I just I mean, I lost the polemic of the whole debate a long time. But you said you you tend to do long term project I do series. Yeah. I read I tend to get involved in. I mean right now, I mean, I did this rodeo project for for five years, and I'm a guy on a bucking bronc guy in a bucking Bronco dust and other Cowboys, right? Right. Right. And the interesting part about that is that's a ranch rodeo, I'm interested in Americana. Okay. I mean, I don't really care about, you know, Bakersfield Calgary all the big rodeos or not. It's like NFL it really doesn't intriguing one stampede. You've seen them all basically. And so my photography at least of the rodeo is I'm trying to access the people that comprise what that's all about. I like to tell a story. All right. So I'm looking for the thousand word photograph basic so in your five feet of wall down in Carrizo. You cowboy up there? I got cowboy up there. I've got a thing called to the rescue which is. Guy falling off a ball. And then all of the other Cowboys coming in to rescue him. I mean, it's teamwork. And it looks very ancient and very old. And there's a storybook quality to it that that I really like no we have a really famous cowboy clown or rodeo clown here. And so those guys are amazing is also an artist anyway. No, no, they're they're incredible. Now, I have to say, I'm I'm I'm not a cowboy I don't ride. I don't have a gun. I don't eat meat or anything like that. But did it attracts you? Well, what attracted me was the spectacle of I was invited to go to a rodeo, and by a friend, and I just I met the arena manager who saw my angles in how I was trying to capture the barrel, racers, etc. And so he started filling me in because I wanted to go where I set up for. I saw that the Broncos go one way the bulls, go the other. So I talked to the guy and he liked me. And so I I said, well, where do I set my camera for this because I noticed the horses run across the arena. The bulls stay in one place. So we. We started talking about how you estimate that. And so I started taking the ankle. So he kind of taught me a little bit about rodeo drones at all do I shoot with what drums? You like overhead I've never shot with a drone in my life. Would you ever are you opposed to drums? No, why would a drone. No, no. I'm not anti drone. I just it seems like a lot of complication. I mean, I try to do pretty much direct photography. I like to compose in camera if I possibly can and other projects I'm giving I'm giving it to immigration. I started shooting immigration marches a long time ago shot the big one in L A, many years ago, ten years ago, in fact, and I think that's an downtown MacArthur park. Yeah. Oh, I shot that whole thing. We walked the entire libra violent, isn't it? No, not a bit of peaceful. It was unbelievable to see fire half a million people walking along sincerely just wind to state their case and to capture that was really really amazing. Tell us about Manfred because Manford has kind of one of the the images even using image. That was used in the Roswell newspapers on what you give me the other day, Michael. Yes. Riodosa all got right here on news. And they they have a picture from once again his name is remind me Manfred Lindell Lindell, he was a wedding photographer back in the New Yorker. And then he moved to Santa Fe and said, no more weddings, and he started getting out and around the New Mexico countryside and photographing things like the older buildings which is a great church down L run for deals going Drina. Yes, that's the one. That's that's in the wall. Yes. Yes. Look face. It's going to. And so he's he's a key part of a group. He's also cliff would right Clifford of a rainstorm photograph became from New York area. He was in the navy, and then he went to Pratt institute, and he became a designer. And so he uses his designer I in his photographs. So I think he's he's done a real nice transition. So you can see all of our backgrounds really have come together in a way that we represent. What shows called Foto eclectic is going on right now through January thirty first at twenty nine thousand nine downing Carrizo. Yes. One thing runs through in January and one thing I wanted to mention to was you mentioned the New Mexico magazine earlier. The kind of man that Warren. And so he said let me offer my gallery for them to hang their works. All the winters get the hang for one year. The the work is there. And so he's currently in Santa Fe today during the twenty nineteen show that will hang on the weekend before our show in the last his show will open for all of this twenty nineteen winners. It's showing the thunder clouds the rain in sheets coming down. And obviously he's shooting where it's not raining. This is in the long distance. And he just happened to have his camera in the car. He pulled over got it out had a card in it. It was digital shot. And he was just lucky enough just to be driving by the right time with the camera right last image. I wanna talk about Lee you did. It's a piece of pottery. Does about this beautiful. Well, I use available light in a studio. I have my own studio here, and I do a lot of landscapes and portraits and things like that. But every so often I'll set up a still life in my studio. And so it put a right next to the window. So this is unavailable just natural natural light. And it's a texture it's called lift printing. Just mentioned the fact that cliff shot that your he when he saw he wasn't looking for. I saw the pot. And I said, I've got a spider graph it than the people that owned. It said, we'll take it and shoot it. So I did. And I didn't really want to know that much about it. I just like the shape and form and again, and that's the way we all work. I mean, some sometimes we set things up and times it's just so spun, well, we know for sure about this show is that there are ten amazing photographers with many many photographs in Carrizo altogether. Anything else to add Michael I was just gonna say we're coming on lease photograph on his part is pot there. I mean, some sometimes the subject of what we're taking is really varies if I'm giving like to long term projects, I shot the Walt Disney music center for twelve years. And I I thought I was doing architecture because I love architectural photography, and I have architectural cameras and you like angles and I like angles, and I like basically dissecting it bringing it down to its various elements. But what happened was that the end of the day? I wasn't shooting a Frank Gehry building. I wasn't shooting Walt Disney hall. I realized about three years in that. I was actually shooting piece of public art that was being created. And so I took that approach to it. But I had to I had to go through that process to discover it as well. All right. But what happened was at the end of the day. I wasn't shooting a Frank Gehry building. I wasn't shooting Walt Disney hall. I realized about three years in that. I was actually shooting piece of public art that was being created. And so I took that approach to it. But I had to I had to go through that process to discover it as well. All right. Great show photo eclectic we'll be in the base them down in Carrizo, the New Mexico through the January. Make sure you get down to see it. It's a nice.
