Marines have been killed in a crash during a training exercise in northern Australia. Defense officials say 23 Marines were on board the Osprey aircraft when it happened early today on Melville Island north of Darwin. Three died in the crash. Five others were taken to Royal Darwin Hospital in serious condition. A statement from the Marines says recovery efforts are ongoing. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The gunman who killed three black people at a store in Jacksonville, Florida was seen at a historically black university just minutes before the shooting. Jim Forbes has more. Authorities say the gunman who opened fire at a Dollar General store early Saturday afternoon had posted a racist manifesto online and was targeting black people. Officials at Edward Waters University say the gunman was seen on campus just before the shooting and was turned away after refusing to identify himself. I'm Jim Forbes. Former President Donald Trump's campaign says it's raised $7 million since his mugshot was released. A campaign official saying Saturday they've made nearly $20 million since Trump was indicted and arraigned in Washington. They say $7 million of that was raised in the three days after Trump was processed in an Atlanta jail and his mugshot taken. Thousands gathered at the Lincoln Memorial.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is speaking out after a shooting that injured seven people this morning during a parade treasured community event has been disrupted by acts of violence from those who had nothing to do with the event. And there's no absolutely no excuse. The shooting happened around 745am during the juver parade, which is part of the city's Caribbean American Carnival. Police say the victims were taken to local hospitals with non life threatening injuries and two people are under arrest. A shooting at a high school football game in Choctaw, Oklahoma has left one person dead and three others injured. It has some utility work over the Maryland side through a Delphi along New Hampshire avenue headed northbound at mess road, the traffic signals there at that intersection. So be alert for that, how to crash from last hour through Silver Spring was affecting the northbound side of colesville road after spring street, the right lane was getting by it last check. And the crash cleanup is just about done toward Waldorf along southbound, route three O one, your Holly lane, at one point, the left lane was affected. "The National Park Service is laying out plans today for an immersive museum underneath the Lincoln Memorial. The 15,000 foot exhibit space will take people below the memorial into a cavernous area known as the undercroft and will include presentations on its construction history and discuss how the Lincoln Memorial has become a backdrop for civil rights demonstrations. The $69 billion project also includes new restrooms, a larger bookstore and a refurbished elevator. Construction said to begin next month, the project is set to be completed in 2026. The memorial will remain open during the renovation. Still not clear what caused a fire in a high rise apartment building in Silver Spring, Saturday morning, killing a woman. 20 people were also hurt. The fire marshal says the fire could have been prevented, but the arrive Silver Spring complex was built before sprinklers were required, and it hasn't been retrofitted. This morning, we're hearing some safety safety tips if you live or work in a high rise. People living in an apartment building need to think ahead and be prepared in the event of a fire. With Montgomery county fire and rescue says you should know at least two escape routes out of your building. That's in case one way is blocked by the fire or smoke. If both stairwells are blocked gather in a room with a window and close the door to that room. Stay by the window. If possible, you should open the window at the top and at the bottom so fresh air can get in. Don't break the window. If smoke enters the room from the outside of the building, you won't be able to protect yourself. He says signal firefighters by waving a flashlight or light colored cloth and they'll come and get you. Dozens of small local news outlets have closed in Maryland over the decades. So now a new bill in the state legislature is hoping to keep more a new sources from going under. House Bill 5 40 would give state tax credits to businesses with fewer than 50 employees who advertise with local news sources. But he tells NBC's meet the press, he would not want to split the anti Trump vote and open a clearer path for the former president to secure the nomination. That'd be a pretty good reason to consider not running. Absolutely. I mean, I care much more. I don't care that much about my future in the Republican Party. I care about making sure we have a future for the Republican Party. "Play a piece of tape here and get your reaction. This is the WHO has decided that the COVID pandemic is not over, play cut too. The committee has advised me that, in its view, COVID-19 remains a global health emergency. And I agree. They need an emergency to stay in power, but also is that a way for them to continue to cover up what they have done. These last couple of years, if the crisis never over, how could you investigate the crisis? That's a good point. And notice how he's using the classic ploy of hiding behind a committee. Yes, that's exactly right. So that's the usual kind of bureaucrats. Shell game. Bobby Kennedy, you may recall on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, almost exactly a year ago, predicted exactly this. And was hammered by MSNBC for doing it and called a crazy, but he said outright if we don't force them to relinquish this power, they will carry it for as long as they possibly can. And he was dead on. And they're going to continue in this state of perpetual and ongoing emergency until we either force our hand and that kind of goes this idea of justice and the next kind of chess move.

And I think the placement of the Lincoln Memorial is divine. Because it sits across the river is Arlington national cemetery. The Civil War is a tough period in our history, but to get to where we are today, we had to go through and fight for our freedom and fight for those that needed freedom. And across the Potomac across the memorial bridge and it leads you to Lincoln Memorial. And going underneath it, you understand the majesty and complexity of that building, but also it should be recognized that linking is facing into the mall. Dc sixty three which is like this kind of a reimagined alternate universe. Washington dc built by users. And you can actually take your character and traveled to the lincoln memorial and the national mall. And here recordings of dr king. Giving the i have a dream speech. There are also like many games that you can do. Yes are you doing the usual fortnight stuff while you're there like my question. This is my question to an eye full disclosure. I have not gotten a check out this experience myself yet but a really smart gaming journalist. I follow erin ashley. Simon actually did you can find on twitter. She put up a four minute. Video of what people are doing. And yeah there's some of the emotes as they call them of people dancing and things like that but you can also hold up signs at the rally. And i couldn't take it anymore. I looked at the clock. It was eleven. I gotta go. I said to man where she replied. No i gotta go make a picture of something and so a jumped into my car and sped down a sleepy military road. And then i loved myself. Where would i find a parking spot near the white house. Isn't it funny. How logistics can be such a buzzkill aloft. Again you idiot. Forget the white house. Go to the lincoln. Martin luther king marian anderson. I have a dream. I figured there'd be thousands of people just like the white house was a ton of the twenty. Six as i walked up at tv crew was walking away. Nothing to see here. My fellow agenda said to me.
