Sean Feucht on Saturating Washington DC in Prayer

"Us more about the prayers. The next day the white house all that kind of stuff. Yeah so this is our second year in a row doing this and one of the things we really try to do is is really saturate. The city of dc. It's a. I would call it. It's almost like a pilgrimage. For for believers you know going to the capital city of place of significance that affects every area of our life. And then going to to to to the places in that city that really need prayer so we went to the supreme court and last year we had the largest prayer meeting in ever in american history in front of the supreme court over three thousand people showed up in the rain and it was significant because it was on the eve of amy coney baron getting confirm two supreme court and actually since that prayer meeting every single religious liberties case. It's been brought against the church has been overturned in the supreme court. So that's amazing. Were undefeated since our last prayer so we gathered there on sunday morning and then we went to the white house after the after that and prayed and worshipped at the white house. Eric you're with me together. There and then we moved to the lincoln memorial and we did a prayer meeting there and then we convene for the grand finale on the national mall so we really we hit all areas of dc. We just saturate the city. I mean you could see lettuce worship dear. You know shirts and everything was everywhere. And it's just something that we really like to do. We're going to go and take over the city for a day. Fill it with prayer. Fill it with worship shift the narrative of what people think about that

Martin Luther King, Jr. Fortnite New Game: I Have a Dream Speech

"Epic games the company the developers behind fortnight have done something kind of interesting it also kind of ties into what i cover for npr. So i thought it was really interesting. It is as we pointed out in the last segment. It's the anniversary of the march on washington. And dr king's i have a dream speech and they've worked with time studios in time magazine to create this experience called march through time. Players can be teleported to what they're calling. Dc sixty three which is like this kind of a reimagined alternate universe. Washington dc built by users. And you can actually take your character and traveled to the lincoln memorial and the national mall. And here recordings of dr king. Giving the i have a dream speech. There are also like many games that you can do. Yes are you doing the usual fortnight stuff while you're there like my question. This is my question to an eye full disclosure. I have not gotten a check out this experience myself yet but a really smart gaming journalist. I follow erin ashley. Simon actually did you can find on twitter. She put up a four minute. Video of what people are doing. And yeah there's some of the emotes as they call them of people dancing and things like that but you can also hold up signs at the rally. There are collaborative experiences. That are sort of educational. There were puzzles. So yes some of the traditional fortnight stick. But there's also kind of a learning angle here too. I see people describing it as like an interactive online museum.

The President's picture

"Now back on election night in two thousand eight. I was sitting on the couch watching the news. My career in photojournalism at morphed into a career shooting weddings. Not because. I really wanted that because it paid money. Such is life and so there. I was sitting on that couch. Not working the most historical election night of my life. The crowd is reaching a million in grant park. The anchor said in washington. Tens of thousands of people are gathered at the white house. Some tv journalist explained breathlessly. And i couldn't take it anymore. I looked at the clock. It was eleven. I gotta go. I said to man where she replied. No i gotta go make a picture of something and so a jumped into my car and sped down a sleepy military road. And then i loved myself. Where would i find a parking spot near the white house. Isn't it funny. How logistics can be such a buzzkill aloft. Again you idiot. Forget the white house. Go to the lincoln. Martin luther king marian anderson. I have a dream. I figured there'd be thousands of people just like the white house was a ton of the twenty. Six as i walked up at tv crew was walking away. Nothing to see here. My fellow agenda said to me. Helpfully barack obama's speech from bronco was coming through the radio. My fellow citizens. I stand here today humbled by the task before us. Grateful for the trust. You've bestowed mind-mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I felt lanka wounded into a candid camera prank twenty-six very quiet people who gathered around a single transistor radio in the steady drizzle. Not even a mile from where tens of thousands of people were screaming. Their heads off. It was around midnight and was very dark in the rain was fogging things up on my camera. But i'm made some pictures because that's what we journalists do the next morning at six. Am i emailed gone you at the new york times. I think. I wrote something like election night. Lincoln memorial twenty six people in rain in the subject filled to get his attention. Five minutes later. My phone rang. i chuckled. The photo ran the size of a stamp on the op-ed page of the times. The next day better than nothing. I thought then some woman named connie email me i say some woman comically because i didn't know her at the time she has since become a dear friend but back in two thousand and eight two days. After the election of barack obama. She was just columnist. I didn't know saying she wanted to write a story about my picture and she was on deadline so i called her back and some guy named sherritt answered the phone detecting trend here. Connie really needs to talk to you but she's just getting out show. Just hang on a few moments. She'll be here so i talked to share it for five minutes chatting about the election and everything and having no idea i was talking to a united states senator email. My sister woman named connie schultz interview today connie schultz. I love her. She's on msnbc all the time you dingo and connie wrote beautiful column. Everyone was excited for me. The grainy photo of the twenty-six folks in the dark and the rain that i shot for no publication in particular was suddenly gaining traction. My neighbor republican joe crowley loved it. He asked me if he could give some to his colleagues. I made copies. Joe gave them to members of the congressional black caucus he also brought one to the white house event and gave it to the president and that photo got framed and hung outside the president's study for eight years and that's where this story should end except that in two thousand sixteen after donald trump was elected. The new president-elect was invited for white house to by president. Obama and my old friend pete souza took a photo of that man. Sizing up the president's study. Will you see in. The photo is his orange hair as he pokes his head in and his hands on the wall right next to my framed photo. Pete's picture is awesome and that's where this story ends except for today because i've been getting e mail after e mail from people who've gotten their hands on president obama's memoir and in his memoir. He says that my photograph the slightly boring one of twenty six people standing in the rain is his favorite photo from his election night. His what president obama rights. But i worry the my memories of that night night so much else has happened these past twelve years a shady by the images that i've seen the footage of our family walking across the stage the photographs the crowds and lights and magnificent backdrops as beautiful as they are. They don't always match the lived experience in fact my favorite photograph from that nice isn't a drum park toll rather it's the one i received later as a gift. The photograph the lincoln memorial taken. As i was giving my speech. It shows a small gathering of people on the stairs that's is obscured by the dot is behind them. The giant figure shining brightly. Here face craggy is is slightly downcast. They're listening to the radio. I am told quietly contemplating who we are as people. And the ark of this thing. We call

"Biden and he's delaware farewell held the national god reserves center named after his late son beau biden paid tribute to his home state. I'll always be a proud son to the state of delaware biden said who struggled to hold back tears as he delivered brief remarks. After arriving in washington biden went directly to an evening ceremony at the reflecting pool near the lincoln memorial to honor. American lives lost to covid nineteen. He was joined by vice president-elect kamala harris who spoke of the collective and wish of a nation for many months we have grieved by ourselves. Harris said tonight we grieve and begin. Healing together biden followed with his own brief remarks telling americans that to heal. We must remember as he spoke with. Four hundred lights representing the pandemic victims illuminated behind him. He faced the statue. Of abraham lincoln. The civil war president who served as more than six hundred thousand americans died. He turns to walk away at the conclusion of the vigil. He faced the black granite wall listing the fifty eight thousand. Plus americans who perished in vietnam inaugural organizers this week finished installing some two hundred thousand. Us state and territorial flags on the national mall a display to represent the american people who couldn't come to the inauguration which is restricted under the tight security and covert nineteen restrictions. It is also a reminder of all the president-elect faces as he looks to steer the nation through the pandemic with infections and deaths soaring. "Vice. President-elect led a national memorial for those who have died at the reflecting pool at the foot of the lincoln memorial today. It's astonishing to me with four hundred thousand americans dead within one year of the first case being found here that we've had no national memorial for the dead before today by biden and harris lead. Today we rather tonight a nation in mourning to pay tribute to the lives. We have lost a grandmother or grandfather. Who was our whole world apparent partner sibling or friend who we still cannot accept is no longer here and for many months. We have grieved by ourselves tonight. We grieve and begin healing together. Though we may be physically separated we. The american people are united in spirit to heal. We must remember. It's hard sometimes to remember. But that's how we heal. It's important to do that as a nation. That's why we're here today. Between sundown and dusk shine the lights in the darkness along sacred pool reflection. Remember all we lost each of those four hundred lights that lit up at that moment in the memorial service represents a thousand americans killed by the coronavirus. When those four hundred lights were lit joe biden and comma harris and the incoming first lady and second gentleman they all turned around to take it in four hundred lights to represent four hundred thousand americans. Biden Planning Ten Day Blitz Of Executive Actions

"In washington it is also a very very big week. President-elect biden scheduled to be sworn in as president at noontime tomorrow chief-of-staff ron claim saying the biden is planning a ten day blitz of executive actions. And for that. I'm gonna go over to joe. Who i think's going to go to washington. Yes to lon moy is going to. I don't know if she's got every executive action she's ready to go into but she's going to have the latest on the inauguration and everything surrounding The inauguration the biden teen plan for a ten day blitz. So we got that going for us. I i whatever. I'm ready for it long. That's what presidents do but i've got a little trepidation with some of it but elections have consequences. It's coming keystone. That's going away at not taking. I think that over the next over the next few days we're going to see is just a real sort of divide and juxtaposition between some of the pomp and circumstance and then some of the policy so obviously the inaugural ceremony is gonna be dramatically scaled back today. We're going to see biden and leave delaware. Make his way down to dc the not by amtrak. Because of the heightened security measures. Tonight he will be at the lincoln memorial for ceremony honoring those who have lost their lives. Tacoma nineteen but in the midst of this pandemic. there's a real desire in the administration to be seen is hitting the ground running and it's one of the reasons why we're going to see five of biden's talk nominees. Have their senate confirmation hearings today. That includes janet yellen for treasury secretary along with his director of national intelligence homeland. Security secretary of state and defense secretary. I got an early copy of yellen opening statement and she does plan to make a forceful for that one point nine billion dollar covert rescue package. That was outlined last week. She says without further action we risk a longer and more painful recession now and long term scarring of the economy later. She also says that with great at historic lows. The smartest thing we can do now is to act big now. As for that flurry of executive orders abiding planning within his first few days many of them will reverse the decisions made by president trump. The latest example came just last night on restricting travel from europe and from brazil the trump administration had said plan to lift those restrictions on january. Twenty six though visitors would still have to provide a negative cova test biden spokesperson immediately. Push back on that saying that the new administration would not lift the ban and instead she tweeted with the pandemic worsening the more contagious variants emerging around the world. This is not the time to be lifting restrictions on international travel by is also planning other executive action on immigration the keystone pipeline. The Senate Finance Committee has begun its confirmation hearing. For Treasury secretary nominee Janet Yellen. Democrats and Republicans immediately squared off over how much more support the economy needs during this pandemic. Oregon Senator Ron Wyden, a Democrat who's scheduled to take over his chairman of the committee, told yelling that his top priority is to avoid the mistake made a decade ago in Congress withdrew support for the economy too soon after the housing crisis and delayed the recovery from the last recession. Trump Supporters To Converge On Washington DC To Protest Election Results

"Far right groups and supporters of the departing president Trump are converging in Washington, D C to protest the results of the free and fair election. Makayla LeFrak of member station W. A. M. You reports This is the third time in less than two months that proud boys another far right. Activists rally in D. C. The protesters have a permit from the National Park Service to gather at the Lincoln Memorial and applause in near the White House. City officials are prepared for the crowds to spread throughout downtown D. C. Mayor Mariel Bowser recognized their right to protest but urged Washingtonians who might disagree to stay away. We're asking D C residents and people who live in the region to avoid confrontations with anybody who's looking for a fight. On the best way to do that is to avoid the area. DC's most prominent resident president Trump Tweeted that he will be at tomorrow's rally. Trump support of the protesters and unfounded claims of voter fraud. Have DC leaders concerned that this week's crowds will be large. 1000 has called in the National Guard to assist with crowd control this week. We will not allow people to incite violence intimidate our residents. Or caused destruction in our city. Violence broke out during both of the previous proud boys protests in December more than 30. People were arrested and eight police officers were injured. Demonstrators also damaged property at four black churches and burn to black lives matter. Banner Yesterday D. C. Police arrested Proud Boys leader and wreak a tar eo on charges of destruction of property as he returned to Washington D. C for this week's rallies. Counter protesters were involved in the clashes last month. But Bowser says the out of town demonstrators at the past pro trump rallies came here looking for a fight. This is serious business. The will of American people through a fair and just election is being questioned in violence is being incited. The city has shut down a number of downtown streets for the next two days. Some businesses are also temporarily shuttering, including the hotel and bar that was a gathering place for proud boys. During the last rallies. During the December protests, four people were stabbed. Nearby. Police chief Robert Conti is trying to drive home one message to people coming into the city to protest firearms. Are not permitted. Repeat firearms are not permitted. Conte says he's been made aware of some protesters plans to bring guns into the city. Even with a concealed carry license. It's illegal to bring a firearm within 1000 ft of any permitted demonstration or areas under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service, like the National Mall. Conti is also concerned about the Corona virus pandemic. Unlike this summer's racial justice protesters, many of the far right activists have not worn masks while demonstrating in D. C. They're going to be a lot of people here. We certainly anticipate that on when we have a lot of people that are in our city, the chances for people to get us sick, namely My officers and other residents. We just want to be very careful with that again. Despite the health concerns, Bowser says police won't be focused on arresting people who violate the city's mask ordinance. She says officers main priority over the next two days is to curb violence and property destruction and keep people out of immediate danger.

"The Lincoln Memorial I found myself face to face with Nathan Phillips and other professional protesters looking to turn me into the latest poster child showing why Trump is bad. Well, the media portrayed me as an aggressive with a relentless smirk on my face. In reality, the video confirms I was standing with my hands behind my back an awkward smile on my face that had two thoughts. One Don't do anything that might further agitate the man banging a drum in my face and two I was trying to follow a family friend's advice. Never to do anything to embarrass your family, your school or your community before I knew what was happening. It was over. One of Mr Phillips fellow agitators yet out way got him. It's all right here on video, and we want Grandpa. What I thought was a strange encounter quickly developed into a major news story, complete with video footage. My life changed forever. In that one moment, full war machine of the mainstream media revved up into attack that they did so without researching the full video of the incident. Without ever investigating Mr Phillips motives or without ever asking me for my side of the story. And do you know why? Because the truth was not important. Advancing their anti Christian anti conservative anti Donald Trump narrative was all that mattered. And if advancing their narrative ruin the reputation and future of the teenager from Covington, Kentucky, also be it that would teach him not to wear my God. I learned what was happening to me. Had a name was called Being cancelled as in a node is in revote hasn't made void canceled is what's happening to people around this country who refused to be silenced by the far left. Any air being fired, humiliated or even threatened and often, media is a willing participant. But I would not be canceled. I fought back hard to expose the media for what they did to me, and I want a personal victory. I.

"To town hall at the Lincoln Memorial you look good to be look like he's in command on top of things I thought even up stage that big old statue of honest Abe in the background and he's leveling with us the death toll could reach a hundred thousand he says but a vaccine is on the way I was done that's what I call music telling us the truth also in the big three the sexual allegations against Joe Biden are beginning to stick and a lot of people on the left are getting very worried a fascinating editorial by a lefty writer in The New York Times he says the Democrats better come up with a plan B. people are beginning to think Latin the sexual harassment allegations could bring down your guy the big three J. crew famous clothing store has filed for bankruptcy yet another victim of this analysts lockdown that all the libs want to keep going for as long as possible forty one you're gonna fact check your big three because you were so off the wall on just about every state being you made there but we do a lot of the guys it was that I thought the president good form he told us he said look he was told about the corona virus around January twenty first and it wasn't said this is a pandemic it's going to destroy the world two days later he thought you know I think we should shut down all air travel to China everybody thought he was being Xena phobic everybody denounce him for that will save lives by doing that let okay well if you want to believe that scenario that's fine your sorry they will believe that I mean the story can I count on all flights from China and genuinely going first to Michael I was on here if you didn't notice thank you very much and what does he do that I mean that you know he he makes all speech for five minutes on this as soon as I begin to talking interrupts me that's not right I think that's what the listeners want been doing a lot of thinking about that comment about that a little bit later on this morning for we get to that he said he upstaged Lincoln by the way there's there there's some solid reporting that he was told long before whatever January day you came up with in his classified memos that and even even bother reading the briefings but he was told long before that date about the pandemic what was your other stuff that the sexual allegations being to stick where where exactly when to start reading some of your lefty liberal columnist they're all getting very no no not just one person everyone not know there was a woman in New York magazine all about it okay also the writer and the new York times which by the way came up with that bogus original story that was designed by the editors in the writer to knock on the allegations even The New York Times had an editorial last week saying that Joe Biden should release those papers so even the editorial writers at The New York Times are getting a little bit concerned about this there is corroboration for her storyline you will not acknowledge it but it is there well a couple of women have come forward and said parts of the story are true but the idea of it sticking I think is a reach on your part what was your third headline something about the lefties and the locked files for bankruptcy because you know it's a victim of this lefty lockdown and you people on the left maybe you've said yourself and can't go back to work until we have a vaccine you should hope the president is correct when he says one of the vaccine by the end of the year and all experts who say we won't have one for three to five years if that happens and we're locked out until then our livelihoods are gone it's over finished kaput the country's down the trade period I also have the president's correct I hope we do have a vaccine by the end of the year but the call a lefty lockdown is just just gibberish I Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe when you run out of gas J. O. yup because no nos no one's going to back me up around here Joe okay have you noticed Joe that is the red states that are starting to get back to work but it's mainly the blue states they keep telling us can't do it can't do it can't leave yet can't do it no we can't if you live in a blue state you are screwed if you live in a red state you have a chance to get your job back well that that's a fact I mean there there are other circumstances that dictate why that's that happens but I hope that well I wanted to know if we don't we don't live in the blue states to get more yes yes exactly and I will tell you to that eventually there's going to come out mayor de Blasio governor Cuomo mishandle this year I mean you were talking about trump not reading his national security briefings I really think this epidemic got way out of control in New York in New Jersey because our elected officials were really slow on the gun and you know they're going to blame trump but it was really them they did they have some local calls that could have made that they didn't do in time and that's why it's so severe that's absolutely true they were you know listened the blossoms tell us to go eat in Chinatown you go to see a movie I'm doing talk about that though they all want to blame trump I'm doing a still I'm doing a story about the hold Broadway during the pandemic and I went back and looked over some of the bloodiest quotes early on he was saying you know it take precautions but go to the theater go sit in a crowded theater fifteen hundred people an old theater that's a hundred years old with poor ventilation go see a show he was dealing with encouraging people to go out about do their business hang on who you doing this Broadway story for yourself because you no longer writing for the post no I believe that land I don't have to tell you I have a number of offers to write places so you'll be seeing my byline cropping up in a wireless wears a sort of integrated Kerr it's gonna be great in Carter's new web magazine called air mail another piece of working on for Vanity Fair New York magazine the other places I'm I'm in the mandolin and it's only six head three hours and fifty Hey Joe I something I found interesting I was musing where might they build a memorial for a president trump on the mall and what he decided himself you think Joe it must have occurred to me as he was stressed written there over to Lincoln Memorial probably take a look around and he's got a good eye for property probably sees a space there are pockets there where they could do the truck tomorrow I think if you want to be right here absolutely yeah absolutely when did you go out this weekend what I'm trying to digest the thought of I always thought it was maybe a fifth face on mount Rushmore but no I can't do that yes I went out this weekend Joe I went out for a walk and it's really interesting because people are like zigzagging along streets you know you don't want to pass exactly in front of somebody so you have to go to the other side of the road that you have to come back you have to step into traffic people are zigzagging all over way doing square dancing and does he going to avoid other people walking down the street that's not the case here in Manhattan I went for a run on Saturday and Sunday and people are not social distancing and forget about there are so many people in the parks groups of people sitting around laughing enjoying picnics the open container laws have gone out the window I mean people are cracking open bottles of wine and make it by Moses and drink a beer and have a good time you know when you're running on the runway the path that we have here in the west village it's kinda narrow when everyone's out about walking and running and biking there is no social distancing it is not happening okay well it's easy to be on the sands point when you can zigzag and go around the mailbox or something well you know here is what other people you do I mean it's it's true but I pay a lot of people playing golf I'm sure you are Joe the golf courses were mob right yeah absolutely not a factor they're opening restaurants outdoor restaurants as of today I'm going to go have some oysters on the water as I got close with some Rozay good seven o'clock no no no no I'm gonna have to deal with that so I hello social distance in a restaurant well you have to be I have I haven't seen it but yet you you have to be separated yeah yeah but as of today they can open up outdoors but with the separation god I'm so envious either would love to go sit outside and have a dozen oysters and and sobbing blonde but I got handed to Joe you know you're right about something they say the best drink to have with oysters is in fact beer mmhm my job right now if if you care Sam summer Sam summer well that's good Samuel Adams summer ale no less than a great cookery writer than the legendary M. F. K. Fisher she wrote a wonderful book called consider the oyster and she says that oyster should be eaten with a pint of a darker ale she says okay I do not want some real slick whatever yeah know your seat like you're falling you know your culinary your culinary instincts are you generally correct I have to say yeah I got to set here with everything rice and chicken cutlets in the supermarket your I would side I really know they're limiting are they limiting meat sales in that class in places like that I during this entire situation I have not been able to find a lot of chicken or meat and most of it if you do find it is limited I have a beautiful piece Joe a bluefish about the farmers market and I'm going to I'm gonna cook it tonight Genovese style which K. slice some potatoes mix them with a participating are like olive oil then you bake them for about fifteen minutes and then you add the fish on top label it with some of that sauce they're hooked up for another ten minutes or so that sounds fares in advance here you just wash it down with gear that will be filed here with everything only to care about above recipe courtesy of see that's the thing that people are cooking exactly that's not anything to cook with a flower what about where you can explore other that usually work I thought I had a drug deal going down to my house the other day because I actually have and I try we should say a lot I have yeast and most people can't find least it's not a problem for women is that a year ago there of course I got a support letter that was used that I have you say that what hope you're getting treated I had a couple games company are you with listen if we come into work and we pick up the you know what I'm telling you the day welcome back badly when it when we get back is if the coronavirus isn't enough now we've got killer Hornets on the way and a famous prop from a James Bond movie is up for sale that's coming up next.

No wonder it became so popular and gain traction in the news media loved at about terrorism, and incest, and rage and hates naturally. The news video loved it. Because they're left as to that was the birth of a movement right there. And the the news media Zolin with. A remarkable event at the Lincoln Memorial. I said it wasn't a scratch that let me start over a kind of every day event happened at the at the Lincoln Memorial. The steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Friday after the March for life. It's washington. There are a lot of competing this and that a lot of marches and a lot of causes and a certain number of crazy people and some racists. There was some racist down there on Friday. There black racists, their religious lunatics, and they were shouting these high school kids, all kinds of bizarre, profane and obscene things and the news media's fine with that because they're fine with that their own senators drop f bombs and and all of that stuff at public events. So they're fine with the N word because the guy's yelling at we're black. They're fine with the abuse. That was being dished out at these young kids because the news media is comparing them contemptuously scornfully with Brett Cavanaugh terrible Brett cavenaugh, he's such an awful person. Don't forget the gang rapes and pulling the train and the quail loads and high school at the Catholic high school. These guys are making the big enough. They figure no one will dare not believe it and they rolled out. Another giant bigoted racist missing drifts lie over the weekend attempting to smear these nice kids from the school. Well, I did something crazy. I watched the video something CNN didn't do something. I'm not sure any news organization. Now,.

"The Lincoln Memorial. Abraham LINCOLN the guy who fought a civil war. You're not allowed to stand in front of that memorial. With us a first amendment statement on your hat. Really? That's the problem. You know, they asked for it kinda thing. Right. Like they were. That triggered people. And therefore, they are responsible for college campuses. Right. Like, well, you triggered us by bringing bringing conservative speaker on campus. And therefore, you're responsible for the violent behavior of students reacting to you insane on even after all the context came out, and you had individuals that are being held accountable. Some people journalists lost his job, you had a Disney exact who had to go and apologize. You still have like a individuals like author Noah burlap ski who said this in this case, the context must include the to what you said that the teams were wearing what the teams were wearing that. And what that apparel has come to represent. And and Katie we talked about this yesterday. What is going to happen? I mean, we are now it's January twenty fifth right in twenty nine hundred. This is where we are right now. What happens the next election day when people actually go to vote again for four President Donald Trump. I mean, where are we going to be then I mean know, that's a scary scary scenario now that just a hat make America great again logo is this damaging. I can't tell you how many like machine squishy Republican establishment types. I've talked to who keeps saying that. They're getting radicalized by the left like they are now like full-blown maga- hat wearing Republicans because of the way the left has treated people. They're totally radicalizing people on the right who may have been skeptical of triumph or don't even really like his behavior. And now, they're like, you know, like this is kind of a war, and you is are putting teenagers in a position where you're guiding them. Based on the color of their skin. Not by the truth. Yeah. That's not gonna fly. Yup. Yup. It's things like this incidents like this and and incidents like the whole cavenaugh debacle that I think galvanizes a lot of the a lot of the right wing, especially especially that sort of squishy right wing that wasn't and isn't necessarily crazy about Trump as president. But when they see how vicious the left is how they demonize people simply because they want to score an ideological point. They wanna win a partisan argument. It does you're right. It it. It really does galvanized. We've seen it here with with our evening host Walter Hudson. One thing. I mean, I. Like looking at the situation, and and what's going on? You know, people are I thought about Andrew Breitbart a lot this week the.

But they've got a right to say that and they have a right to believe that they do not have a right to do that. It's some of the most racist and bigoted language you will ever hear. However, no one in the press seems to care. Now, this this is not what the fascist and the rest of the militant left has risen up in mass to fight against is it. If that was a white man saying that that would be a Nazi. And I know how the press treats Nazis. Where is the where is the crowd of black clad millennials standing against these guys, and I'm not encouraging them because I think those guys are radicals as well. But the reason why they're not there is because they agree with tear down the system. They agree with a lot of what is being said here. They'll show up to Berkeley, they'll protest Ben Shapiro. But not somebody saying these things. Okay. Well, they're saying this all about white people. Right. So it has to be okay. In today's culture of of relativism. We just let it slide. Now is that two of the kids dressed up in black face for a basketball game to mock black kids on the other team. Not what happened. They it was a blackout game which every school in the world has now where you'll wear all black, and I guess they went to their faces as well. Yeah. And then they were yelling at the black kids as well as the white kids on the other team. So they were just supporting their team. Yeah. The other team, and I would like to point out snow peas pointed that one out that charge was false. But to this moment still hasn't said that the charge against the boys at the Lincoln Memorial. Apparently, one of the things that the the folks who want to tell women what to do with their bodies do. And look, you know, that's what this comes down to. There is no there is no middle ground here. And I understand that for some people. The idea of abortion is itchy frankly. The idea of any medical procedure, high find Dickie, okay? Well, I just the idea of anything that involves almost the human body. I think I find difficult, but aside from that. But the reality is this you are either placing the creating rights for a fetus that necessarily infringe upon the freedom of the rights of women or you're not. That's it. There's no other equation, and you have to make that choice. So one of the things that these antiabortionist do is they send down and I don't wanna play this one. I don't wanna play this. When I what they do is they send busloads of kids from Catholic schools to juice their numbers. And I'm sure that the majority of them are are happy to restrict a woman's right to have sovereignty over her own body. That's what they are told in their parochial schools. Do I have a problem with religious schools? Not. Not necessarily. Although I think look when we talk about all the problems of religion a lot of it is because they are it comes from fundamentalists of all stripes who are who are educated in. No, I want to see the other one I the educated in these schools, whether it's you know, Madris's or Shiva's or these Catholic parochial schools. These aware the fundamentals of versions of religion are taught and a lot of secular ideas or excluded now. So apparently. And I've watched the entire two our video I skip through. I went every fifteen seconds to get to the parts where there was confrontations. But basically what happened is this on the at the Lincoln Memorial. There's these guys call the black Israelites, and they basically get on a soapbox. And I imagine they do this every Sunday. They do this all over. They do it here on right here in Fulton. They do it. I remember twenty-five years ago seeing them in central square Cambridge. They have been doing this for long time, and they dress in sort of. A combination of like there's there's a little bit of Holly Selassie involved, and there's they consider themselves the real jus. And or Hebrews her Israelite, Israel lots and it's coming to say, they they often carry a big staff gotta right by that. I mean, a stick and they suit look and brothers. I don't know if they still do it this way. But it used to be one guy would read scripture, and then the other guy would repeat the scripture, and then give commentary, and it is the gist of what they have to say is that they are the true is a lights white people are bad, and but they are largely harmless. Now, I imagine if you have never seen them before you might be somewhat intimidated. There were four of these guys. I would also imagine though, if you're with a hundred other guys, even if they're younger. The intimidation is less. Oh, so what happened is these these black Israelites were doing their thing? For like an hour because the video I saw was actually shot by one of them. They always used to shoot videotape of themselves. And then these kids started to amass, and they started to trade barbs and at one point. Also at the Lincoln Memorial were these. Indigenous Americans who were. Who were basically doing a ceremony, and they tried to intercede by walking inbetween was about twenty feet thirty feet. The kids were on the on the steps and the. The black Israelites. And they would try to intercede by simply going through and continuing to play their drums. And prior to this the kids had already started do like some of their. I would imagine where there sports cheers at their sports games, which are all about them being hull cash. One guy took his shirt off and led the all of them..

"A couple of days removed. What is it now to three days removed from that incident that we've been talking about tonight? Outside the Lincoln Memorial. Gosh, three days removed from Robert Muller coming out with a statement. Calling the BuzzFeed article inaccurate. One important point that I want to reemphasize here. We all gotta learn, and I'm putting myself at the front of this slide. We have all gotta learn to pause. We have all got to learn to take breath when something happens when some crap goes down when there's a big news thing when there's an incident when there's something that goes viral. When there's potential racism when there's a big story when there's a bombshell that breaks. We all got a pause. And take a breath. All of us. I'm including myself in this and wait for the facts. To ensue. There is such a rush right in this. Internet based instant access on demand. Smart phone kind of world we live in right now at our fingertips, man. We can no instantly. I can be sitting here in suburban Chicago. And in an instant, I can find out what happened in in Israel in an instant. If there's a terrorist attack in Israel. I can find about it in an instant. And that's pretty cool. That's a pretty awesome thing. Right. There's a disturbance in Washington DC between two or three groups. Somebody's got a phone. They're recording thing. Somebody does a quick edit job. And shows you thirteen seconds of that incident in Washington DC. And you and I can find out about it in a nanosecond almost in right actually in real time. We can be observing because of the spark phones the video we can be observing. Events and fights and skirmishes and incidents in in real time. That is a. That's an awesomely powerful tool for all of us to have in the year. Twenty nineteen. But it is. An awesome responsibility to. Because..

"Areas in Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth. This is Fox News. Coming up on the Tuesday edition of Justice, and drew the top five stories you need to know with producer Sam it's six twenty. We'll get the latest out of the legislative session was Senate majority leader Paul Kazakh at seven thirty five and Pete hegseth from Fox News at eight thirty five Justice and drew live and local six to nine twin cities news talk AM eleven thirty and one zero three five FM. Tell you. I have seen a lot of protesters. I've seen a lot of people act. I've I've seen crowds of adults act like morons on both sides. I've seen people make stupid mistakes. But I have. I have yet to see outside of perhaps the crowd that we had in Washington DC. I have yet to see a crowd of kids. Act as Christ like as I saw these kids in Covington act, and if you read the the letter of the the the main kid Nick Sandman who was the guy who was staring down the native. He wasn't. He wasn't. He was acting Christ. Like, and you see it. If you watch the video, I watched the videos, I didn't watch the clips I watched the actual whole video and you see they were targeted. He wasn't blocking. Anyone he was not smirking and laughing. I I would imagine that for a while there. He either got like the funeral giggles. I was an altar boy, oh, I remember being taken back because I had my friend. And I we were altar boys at a funeral. And we got the giggles, and it wasn't because we wanted to is because we didn't want to and man, we got chastised by the priest. It was not pretty anyway. He's I think he's just because he smiling because of the absurdity of it. But if you watch the whole video that's only a fraction of a second. And then he here's one of his classmates intelligently, not confronting intelligently trying to argue with one of the native American protesters who calling them all kinds of names and Nick actually tries to stop the kid. He's like at one point. He's like, hey, don't don't when his friend continues. That's when he turns around grabs him and says, let's go the kid was doing on Martin Luther King day. I am proud to say this is a group of kids that Martin Luther King would hold up as a great example. And everyone should do that. Now, we have we have Jill Hamlin on. She was a chaperone as they were waiting for the bus. They weren't protesting there were just there waiting for the bus. So they could go home. Jill welcome to the program. Glenn? Thank you. I am. I can't even imagine. What you feel like I am so upset, and I don't know any the kids, and I wasn't there. Yeah. I. It was upsetting when it happened. And then even more setting to see the aftermath and the torment these kids are going through and being so wrongly accused at something they did not do. Tell me what the scene was Joe. As I know everybody's heard this is meeting place at the Lincoln Memorial for the boys to meet and get their buses fat is what we do every year. And every thing everybody does that. Because that's where the buses can make a circle it's the only place where the buses can wait and pick people up from all over the country. That's where you meet. But go ahead. Exactly. We had no idea that there was an indigenous March that day we were there for the March for life, a peaceful March that we did we met we gathered on the steps because as has been done in past years. Always typically do their school cheer on the step down below by the Lincoln Memorial. Once they were gathering there were other people milling around there were. The black. Hebrew, israelites. I think that's what they call themselves. I I lived in New York for about six years. So I can tell you they're crazy. That's what we call them. What you live in New York. And you pass up every day. You're like all those crazy people across the street. We better across the street. Go ahead. Yes. They immediately. I just started over to the crowd at boys, and they were at the target immediately from the get-go. People from their group started running around with cameras jumping off on columns and just filming everything and the boys just looked at each other. Like why why are they saying this to us? We've done nothing wrong. We haven't set anything. We haven't instigated an insult. And the hatred that came out of the mouth out these people hoping bible than their hands was disgusting. Everybody every journalist at every network has passed those guys on the streets of New York. They know exactly who they are. They know exactly the hateful racist things that they say and for the journalists in America to actually not give someone else the benefit of the doubt when they have firsthand experience on the streets of New York of those people. It's despicable head. Yes, he asked, and you know, they. I just in shock as we all were. And so we just thought, you know, we're just gonna stay together as our group on the top, and we're going to ignore the salts and then you Nathan Phillips with his or five people he started, you know, he he'd been beating and the points are all crowded around. I mean, we were all standing there. The chaperones were all around. It's unfortunate that people think we were nowhere found, but Nathan Phillips inserted himself into our group up boys. Have you watched the video from them because I watched several videos from several different people on all sides. If you watched the video from the native American point of view, they specifically target your group they specifically approach your group because they say look at all of those white white Europeans. And they specifically know what they're walking into. Yes, they did. And he was not trying to defuse the situation. He made it worse. He made it worse because he wants the attention, and he is drug this school and these boys and their reputations through the worst possible way that he could. And he did not just use the situation. And everyone says why didn't they move away? He couldn't he was surrounded by his classmates. They were all standing there. And she your point earlier he was afraid he is a young, man. He's not an adult. Most of these kids have never been confronted with this type of situation, and they shouldn't have been done that either by Nathan Phillips. He said. That all these people were calling names, blah, blah, blah. He was trying to defuse. The this is this is your Catholic student. Trying to defuse at one point. He said I just felt that these adults were trying to. Use the kids us kids as a proper. So I can't remember he said it he said beautifully, and I can't find it. But he knew these kids I repeat kids are being persecuted for actions. They did not commit it's truly horrifying. And he talks about how he was standing there with adults trying to provoke them. And he knew that's what was happening. Yes. Jill can you? Hold on. I want to take a quick break. And then I wanna come back and continue our conversation. We'll we'll continue. This is this is Jill Hamlin. She was a chaperone Covington Catholic high school. You should be proud of every student that goes to Covington. I don't care. I don't care what anyone else's saying you watch those videos, if you watch those videos, if your child was in that group, if in fact, the parents of Nick Sandman, oh my gosh. If I was his father, I would say mission accomplished. Mission accomplished. I thank you. Lord. Thank you. But I obviously raised my son, right? I raise my son to the light. It's me, and it's the Covington Catholic high school that have actually done it. I think these kids are Martin Luther King junior juniors. They are little Martin Luther King's congratulations back in a minute with more.
