"Liked to say out loud to that. My clients here the flip of it like what is that. They launched that the are smart enough that they are ready to take that leave that they are deserving of getting a raise and so that just starts to implement new programming takes practice and before we can even do that or before it will be effective. You really have to get to the core on like why that belief is there to begin with you. make me. i'm like this. Has been great. But i have to go. Do breath work right now. That's you're incredibly persuasive. You argue that teaching people how to connect with their breath can change their lives. What does that look like for. People that you've worked with physically has looked like pain-free migrants being on being able to sleep. It looks like feeling happier hopeful. Clear more confident and the breath work just really helps to change the energy one of the reasons that i also fell in love with breath work is that i was doing the work you yourself would be doing. The active readings you're the one experiencing the sensations the release. The thoughts in your mind is well that to me will so empowering as opposed to just go into a here that's giving your card reading or even therapists like this is more embodied. That was powerful. And i did that for myself. That's really cool that a lot of times people are stuck in their head at the beginning. Because you're so caught up in the technique in the protective mechanisms that go off. When they're trying something new that i would suggest. Give it another shot now. That you've expensive breathing that you know what to expect in. You're not anticipating what's going to happen. When is she going to say next that way. You can be no more relaxed and have more of the benefits of the. I just love all my fellow taipei's who are showing up in your classes being like i gotta do this right. I gotta make sure. I got this really not understanding the core assignment here. Yeah but compassion. Because i'm the same way. Like i am a perfectionist and you know straight a student so i totally get it but it's also have been really cool to experience not being in control and seeing the magic that unfolds from that and just creating a life for myself i would have never been able to dream of because when you're so planned out yet you're gonna get something else. There's been so much abundance in just a different way. That has changed my life. Because i have decided to let go that control and that perfect plan and so let me try to let go and see what happens and son incredible. I can't think of a better note to end on. Thank you so much. Cue which a pleasure talking to you. Deep breath okay. Here is what. I learned that i plan to use immediately. Check in on your breath. It is a powerful window into your state of mind. Breath exercises can be a great way to just reconnect with yourself. It might be uncomfortable. That's a towel. Maybe even the point change real change comes with consistency so come back to this again and again while on focuses on breath work i also really value her reminder to just get back into our bodies we've talked a lot about thinking and plotting and planning and assessing our way out of being stuck but sometimes a walk outside a solid stretch a moment. Notice how.

"It take to get there. you know. it doesn't take that long. It just takes consistency at the beginning. It might feel really uncomfortable. I always start my classes. Sharing breath can be uncomfortable. Can be activated and it can be confrontational because as a society as a whole we are so detached from our body and our emotion site. We numb numb ourselves using a lot of different devices from tv from medication from being so busy and over scheduled that to actually slow down to be present with yourself with your thoughts with your breath can be really uncomfortable. And so at the beginning people do have their mind racine and wondering something they start to fixate on. Am i breathing right. I think i'm doing it wrong. Like what is the sensation. I'm starting to feel vibration my body and he start to freak out and so that just shows that we have to do it a little bit more and more so that you start to feel comfortable being yourself and feeling is i'm laughing not at those people but because i am one of those people so i appreciate the a fight or flight instinct. That kicks in there. How often would you say when someone comes to you. They're coming because in one way or another even if these are not the words that they're using they feel stuck in their own life Almost all of them. Especially how my private sessions and my group. Coaching is to help you get unstuck. So they're feeling unsatisfied at work and a relationship. They have a business idea but they just don't even see how it's possible or they have health issues in their mind is stuck in that loop of just. What's in front of them. It's hard for them to see anything different. So would id using their breath is create a disruption in the way that they're thinking. I even have a self guided program that teaches people how to do that. That's my breath. Workfront zaidi program. And so i start to help them see what the opposite is While if you were to quit your job what what would happen like. Let's make a list of the positive things. So we start to provide evidence for their brain to see not just the fear in the scarcity and the lack of control but all of the things that can also come out of it and breath work allows you to do that because it quiets your analytical mind so you're magdala who tells you okay we gotta stay on high alert. Here's the fear starts to decrease and were able to just be more hopeful and fainting that anything is possible. And when they're in that state of meditation they do get creative inspiration. They start to see themselves envision themselves in that new job or asking for the raise or calling in their romantic partner so by the end of the session they feel good and then from there. All right let's set some action steps so that we can move towards those goals. I and i think a lot of people have this very wrong sense that we can engage in these healing practices. These healing modalities once and be fixed limiting fixed in good marginally and meditated once and now. I'm crystal clear. I did breath work and i'm completely centered. You talked about consistency. But what does it really take to utilize. Modalities no way that changes. Not just a moment but really your life. Yeah so my one on one. Coaching program is six weeks and in the six weeks we are able to create a huge difference. Like i have some clients who start with me depressed so the first three weeks. It's like helping to lift them out of the depression. And then they're in a place where they are. They're feeling act like themselves so they're able to start to take action so the six weeks for me has been kind of a sweet number and that we are able to kind of get them unstuck and start to have them feel like okay back backing control. I know what to do. These are the actions that i'm taking. I mean that's the work is not hearing ourselves because there's no such thing as a cure. It's just having tools to manage life. Do you wanna talk a little bit. About what set you. Let healing journey. Yeah so at the time. I was feeling really frustrated in my marriage and i also was feeling frustrated with Acting is doing all this work all his effort yet. Nothing was going the way that i wanted to so i got really frustrated and depressed and anxious and physically. My body was starting to exhibit stress. Symptoms i was having ibs symptoms. My face was breaking out at night. His clenching ally started to do sleep. Walking out. And i was also very hyper vigilant. Cyber leave the house. Faint that i left the stove on dry back to my house to make sure that it was off it was off and then go back. My nervous system was just on high alert constantly and so everything that i was encountering just felt so much better than what it really was. Do you have a go-to breath. Exercise my go-to breath word. I like keep it released simple because there's so. Many rhetoric is just a general term for active breezy. Many bleeding your breasts. So there's things like the box breathing where you're counting to the four right. You're like inhaling to four holding your breath to the counter four slowly excellent to account for hold your breath and then again in hell. That's fine and it. You know it allows you to get really clear. You're building up the carbon dioxide in your body so people like navy seals. Nurses use it police officers to like go on high alert when they're in a high stress situation but for the average person. If you're feeling stressed out that in itself remembering the technique can feel overwhelming and stress guy. So i always just suggest and then there's also resistance because it's so simple is i just noticed what's going on with your body and your Notice where your shoulders are they close to your ears. Are you holding their breath and then rollback your shoulders. Drop your breathing down to your belly. You complete your hands on your belly in just practice pushing your hands out as you're taking a breath that will that will tell you that you're breathing using your diaphragm in. So just doing a few breasts of that will start to activate your para sympathetic nervous system and that will help you start to relax so i do this breathing exercise before gonna fall asleep if i'm feeling like stressed out thinking about the next day. I do this breathing exercise. When i'm working when i'm driving stuck on traffic and then if you're looking to energize yourself because that's another thing that you can do with frontward then you would do them more like fast reading words that inhale exhale really quickly. It's kind of like hyperventilating. But not quite. You'll start to vilify abrasion into ingrained but that also will get you really clear kind of boost your energy so i do that in between my sessions in between my clients. Finey to if. I'm starting to feel kind of drained and also to clear my space. I will do some quick reading exercises to to energy. You're also a big believer in affirmations. Where do see affirmations us fitting into this work. Are you sat with my clients when they're in the meditative state because we are able to access the subconscious and so we're starting to create some new beliefs for your subconscious to to believe so a lot of times. We're not able to get unstuck because there's a part of us that feels that we're not deserving are smart enough for that job or we don't have the qualifications so in that meditative stay. I.

"Been talking about getting unstuck and if you are like me when you approach a challenge like beam stock you are really good at the doing and the thinking and when it comes to the being could use a little help while ana lilia is a bradford coach and intuitive guide. She is here to share her personal story of using breath work to return to herself and to teach us how connecting with our breath can transform our lives. I'm so happy to be with you today. Likewise i'm excited to talk to you. Can you tell me about a time in your own life when you felt stuck. How rush time you know. I've always been someone who has very clear goal. Then there have been moments where i get comfortable even though deep down inside not happy but there's a part of me that's like well can really get any fighter like i've been in relationships that i've outgrown but it just feels so much more uncomfortable to end it and then start all over and going to the unknown than to really trust myself. Be like even if there isn't anything better. Like i need to honor the fact that i'm not happy right now and i need to move on so there's been times where i have felt stuck in relationships before i was doing breath work. I was working as an actor and that industry feel not in control at all i. You don't choose when you get an addition when you work or anything. And even though i was successful in that there was point in in that career where i just stood feel stuck in like okay. There has to be more. I want to be more in control of my life. And that's where. I was introduced while i was in therapy. Different healing modalities and one of the later. Modalities that i came across breath. Go what was it about breath. Work the clicked for you breath. We got me into my body and they. Rpi consciously a talking about like what's the problem and being really heavy a wrath work showed me and my body were the sadnesses wear. The pain was where the fear where the hesitation. And when i say it showed me wearing my body like physically my body contracted my hands cramped up my job. Got really tight. I started sobbing. My whole body was you know. Sometimes when you a few times we let ourselves like really fall apart and let it go. That's what was happening in my body. When i was doing work for the very first time and i was like whoa okay and then afterwards feeling like ten pounds lighter my body just feeling more relaxed. I felt like oh what do at all and then also it was crazy to step. Outside of the studio was in and feel like the colors were so bright. Like the point where i felt like i need to put on sunglasses because everything just looked so much brighter and so i was so intrigued. At by doing this simple breathing exercise. I was to become really connected with my body and my emotions allow myself to feel and express them and then vilson better. With their breath and the question that leads me to as how do we become disconnected from our breath in the first place even though we breed naturally we take over twenty thousand breasts today. I think if we pulled those of you listening how often or conscious you are of your breathing. It's probably going to be just one percent. We just take it for granted and we don't really notice it unless you're having a panic attack than you notice the tightness in your chest that you can't breathe but what i help people do is first before we go into the active raving. Yeah notice what's going on in your body. What is your breath doing right now. Are you holding your breath. Does it feel constricted in your chest. Are you taking short. Shallow breaths are you bringing from your chest. are you breeding from your diaphragm. What are the late equality of the brass and just by having that information then for those have been working with me for a little bit we take it a step further and we notice our emotions so your breath also can give you information about how. You're feeling emotionally if you are overwhelmed. Scared freaked out. You are probably gonna notice that. Your breasts are shorter. Breath holding Infrequent there's just like not as much oxygen going into your body basically. You're kind of in a paralyzed frightened states but if you notice when you're feeling happy and relaxed you might notice that your breathing is longer. You might even notice that you drop your breathing to your diaphragm. Which is where we should be breathing on a day to day. But as we get older we just kind of stopped reading from our diaphragm. If you notice your Your baby is gonna be breathing using the diaphragm. Your pets breathe using their diaphragm. And i'm old musical theater nerd. So as you're saying. I'm like. Oh yes i remember my diaphragm now. I forgot about it. Yes for the singers out there and all that yes so when you drop down to your belly it just helps your body feel like you are safe and it doesn't have to be on high alert. Your para sympathetic. Nervous system is activated. So you are in the rest and digest so even if there is a stressful situation like for me now. Because i do so much breathing and i've been doing it for six years when i am in a high stress situation like for example last year my house got broken into and when i got the news i noticed might breeding immediately changed to a deep slow belly breath and i was so proud of my body that automatically in you how to regulate instead of going into that pattern so being in that state allowed me to clear and be able to respond to the situation and give like instructions to doctor who showed up to my house broken into instead of like freaking out as well and mirroring what she was giving me and then just like reacting so that i teach my clients as well using their brands to change it to be in a position of power and control. How long does.

Does the man need help? Is there an emergency is the neighbor's house on fire? Was there a Prowler in the area or some other kind of threat? No doubt. The man Robert Wilson is trying to wake his across the street neighbor to tell him that they just won the Nobel Prize. My name's Moxi and this is your brain on facts. Serious a Syrian living in Rome at the time of the big b c a d change over we have no way of knowing if Alfred Nobel ever read publilius, but he definitely had reputation on his mind the Swedish chemist engineer and industrialists found a novel way to combine good old Gunpowder with the exciting new discovery of nitroglycerin to form a truly earth-shaking invention Dynamite. It was a game-changer for Industries like coal mining and it killed people like it was nobody's business both intentionally and through many many Factory explosions. Nobel got richer with each Improvement on the dynamite then his brother Ludovic died a French newspaper ran an obit for Alfred having gotten their lines cross somewhere along the way they were shown the remote As more the paper proclaimed. The merchants of death is dead. Dr. Alfred Nobel who became a rich by finding ways to kill four people faster than ever before died yesterday. That's gotta sting. Nobel had no children and a sudden intense concern about his legacy. So he decided to put some of the money he'd made into the service of repairing his name with a real long-term strategy in his 1895 will drafted the year before he died Nobel instructed that most of his fortune the equivalent of two hundred and fifty million dollars today be set aside to create an award five annual prizes quote to those who during the preceding year shall have conferred the greatest benefit of mankind provided you benefit mankind by way of physics chemistry physiology or medicine literature and problematically vague more on that later long piece. Wait a sec. Say those of you with better recall than me. Where's the Nobel Prize for economics? There wasn't one. There still isn't a part from the one that they're kind of is. The bank of Sweden prize in economic Sciences in memory of Alfred Nobel was created by Sweden's Central Bank in nineteen. Sixty-eight. What about mathematics game popular Apocrypha is that Nobel lost the woman he loved to a mathematician and so did not consider mathematics to be important enough. There's no proof for that story sadly wage and while no one knows for sure the reason it could be as simple as Nobel really wasn't a math guy. I feel you there. Winners are announced in October and November the culmination of a Year's preparation more than six thousand people like Nobel laureates AKA past winners School in various fields and officials from various universities are invited to nominate candidates about a thousand of them for each prize, which usually results in between 150 and 250 nominees. It's not just names in a hat. You have to write a detailed proposal in favor of your nominee and no no matter how much you want to know how cleverly you think you can get away with it. You cannot nominate yourself. Also. You must be alive. Nobel prizes aren't awarded posthumously at least not any more than a few were in the early days, but it was decided in the 1970s that that wasn't their bag anymore, but exceptions make the rule and there is one notable exception in 20 job. 11:00 Canadian immunologist Ralph Steinman received the Nobel Prize for physiology or medicine but he passed away between being nominated and the prize being announced akong assignments daughter. He didn't quite make it but they gave them the prize. Anyway, Steinman must have had a real sixth sense when it comes to convoluted award schemes because non-winning nominees are kept secret out for fifty years in part to prevent a sort of Susan Lucci situation. I mean, it's going to be tough with them. There may be heated political and scientific opinions from parents about whether they should have to wear masks. They're going to be accusations against teachers. If they insist on taking certain precautions. They're going to be kids who have sensory disorders, and they won't be able to lead their masks alone. Kids with asthma who struggle with basic air intake without a mask, kids with immune issues who need everybody to wear a mask that one teacher said the kid will show up wearing a lacy bra cup as a mask. Creating chaos for an entire day. Tell me that's not gonna happen. Of course that's gonna happen. The kid has learned to shoot spit wads with his mask. Kids who are intentionally going to breathe on other kids. They'll do that to kids faking coughs. They'll do that, too. I mean, there's so many things that are going to be. Or maybe it could go the other way. It seems to eliminate the book and you create nothing but paper, Simon, you have to eliminate the buses. There's just no way you know that may mean school stay open later for the kids get picked up. But you can't have buses. They have these things that are going to be high.
