WNBA players celebrate Warnock's projected win over Loeffler
"Right. Before the insurrection at the capital there was two senate runoff elections that the country had their is on in one of them. The reverend raphael warnock defeated the incumbent. Appointed senator kelly leffler in georgia. Kelly leffler for about ten years has been a partial owner of the atlanta dream of the wnba. She's now the majority owner but she's been around the team for now ten or eleven years and you may have heard her own players and much of the wnba is diametrically opposed to everything that leffler stands force. It was a very interesting situation to see everything develop earlier this week. And then how it works in the team dynamic for more on that. Let's welcome and renee. Montgomery actually a guard for the atlanta dream. She joins us this morning. She's actually rejoining us this morning a second time. She's been on with this. Good morning to you so i guess the first thing i gotta ask you is being a member of the team and understanding everything. That's going on on the floor in off the floor. What's the reaction of you and your teammates to misled losing this election. So i'm just gonna speak for myself and the reaction is. It's not even just her losing. Its rafael worn off. One and i wanna make sure that the messaging stays clear because there's some things that happened on january six is trying to take away from the fact that a black man is going to send it a jewish man from georgia's going to send it and we won the presidential race so i would say for me. It's a sweep. it's a three no sleep. So the the the feeling is happy. Rene speaking of january six. What are your thoughts on everything that occurred that day. Yeah you know. It's kinda like we all felt something was gonna happen. I was worried after november. Third ominously like when when the number started tied and we could see that joe biden. Really my win this thing you know. We all started to get a little nervous even here in georgia the aquarium shutdown coach color. They all boarded up their their buildings because we were all expecting some type of reaction and not a good one so then to see what happened on january six and see the lack of policing that was there it was it was disappointing and most call a spade a spade. It was terrorism. Domestic terrorism is the term that we should use for that renee montgomery innately. Sorry thanksgiving i was going to say what is say about the platform that the wnba has like you guys like even a month before. Colin kaepernick took a knee in two thousand sixteen. The wnba pre-game conference about police brutality. You guys were black. Lives matters t shirts before it was even a thing. Guys always been the leader at the forefront say about the platform that you guys have in the work that you guys have been doing you know. I hope people start to licking because a lot of brands. A lot of sponsors. They don't see the value in in women would say 'cause you know. I think i saw a tweet. From china robinson that said of sponsorship for women athletics how chow especially now knowing the impact that a women's league not just so a player but a whole week and have i don't understand why there's no interest but i do hope that just seeing how things transpired and how everyone to see what's going on. I hope that there is some value added to women now. Renee montgomery of the atlanta dream is joining us. This morning on keyshawn jay williams zubin were presented by progressive. Insurance and rene is with us on the goodyear hotline to robinson by the way. Espn women's college basketball analyst shaina. Yes shoutout. I want to ask you this because people may not want to go back to leffler because i think this is just so fascinating with how clear she's been in how clear you guys have been She used to be for people. That aren't aware that maybe don't follow the dream on everyday basis. She used to be a constant present. at games. a practice you'd be a team functions. He was always be sitting in the front row. She was very active owner. Obviously things have changed when she went to the senate got other responsibilities. I just wonder what your relationship is with her. The team's relationship with her you know even before the senator race i would just fear before the games. We've been to her house. Where team function. But i mean any of the players know you're not usually best friends with owner in general you know you typically would talk more to your g Even when it comes to contracts and stuff so we did see her there and we would wait and she was you know. I know that she released herself. From you. know day to day duties as she became a senator but she was president and the wnba. I know probably the letter was her trying to distance herself. Thing is how she's republican and the wnba. Is you know highly majority. Lgbt in black and brown community. So i can understand why she's trying to distance ourselves but it wasn't the case beforehand. Rene we're kind of personal discussions if any at all have you had. We'll often about social justice nine. I'm you know this was a typical owner-player relationship. So you know. I never talked to my minnesota on her about social justice. And i know that this time is is different but by the time that all of these things try Started to unfold. You know it was already. She was already too far. gone by. then how do you feel now that everything is transpired and she still co owner of the team for me and this is gonna be unpopular to say but for me. I'm sure she's not the only owner. That probably feels the way she feels. And so i hope that the wnba and hope that you know even her you know i. I've already posed the question. I don't know why he would want to own a wnba team. If you have to write a letter to the commissioner opposing. Everything that that team is standing for you know. Our team is the atlanta dream. And i don't know if people know that's from martin. Luther king's dream speech. That's how we got our name so if you oppose everything that we fundamentally stand for. I don't see how you can build a relationship there. I don't know why you'd want to be there

The History of the Internet
"To begin with we as a species. We've been trying to categorize an attain all the knowledge. We haven't to a database of sorts for a very long time right so for example in seventeen twenty. Eight ephraim champions globe maker publishes the cyclopes or a universal dictionary of arts and sciences. It is the earliest attempt to link by association all the articles in an encyclopedia or more generally all the components of human knowledge. He wrote in his preface quote this. We endeavored to attain by considering the several matters. E topics not only absolutely and independently as to what they are in themselves but also relatively or as they respect each other. So we've been thinking about like how to how to access knowledge how to obtain information and organize it in in a in a way so that more people can access it quicker classic enlightenment. Classic enlightenment am my right So in one thousand. Nine hundred belgian lawyers and bibliographer paul outlet and on revilla contain proposed a central repository for the world's knowledge organized by the universal decimal classification. It was called the mondays And it would eventually house. More than fifteen million index cards one hundred thousand files and millions of images and in nineteen thirty four outlet further advanced his vision for the radiated library in which people worldwide will place telephone calls to his quote mechanical collective brain. And we'll get back information as tv signals. So this was a theory. This is something that they thought could get off the ground then in nineteen thirty six h. g. wells first predicts what's called the world brain He wrote the whole human memory can be and probably short time. We'll be made accessible to every individual time is close at hand when any student in any part of the world will be able to sit with his projector in his own study at his or her convenience to examine any book. any document in an exact replica. Study accurate it's pretty accurate so the world brain was to be a central repository of the world's knowledge organized by complex taxonomy invented by wells. So clearly there has been a precedent for desiring this kind of thing. So the concept of data communication or transmitting data between two different places through an electromagnetic medium such as radio or an electric wire predates the introduction of the first computers right. Such communication systems were typically limited to point to point communication between two end devices. Like semaphore lines are telegraph systems and telex machines so these can be considered early precursors to this kind of communication and the telegraph in the late. Nineteenth century was the first fully digital communication system. So that's just cool trivia fact it been a deeply so up until about nineteen sixty computers were huge unwieldy and self contained. You could use them as a tool. But you couldn't necessarily make them talk to each other or transmit information across any distances using them but there were a bunch of people working towards making that happen so a man named christopher stray cheesy who became the oxford university is first professor of computation filed a patent application for time sharing in february of nineteen fifty nine in june that year. He gave a paper called time sharing enlarge fast computers at the unesco information processing conference in paris where he passed the concept onto to lick lighter of mit like lighter vice president at both derek and newman inc and they discuss a computer network in his january. Nineteen sixty paper called man computer symbiosis so a quote from that is a network of computers connected to one another by wideband communication lines which provide the functions of present day libraries together with anticipated advances in information storage. And retrieval and other symbiotic functions. So super like great reading. You know just like pull it up right. Now read it. Yeah take it to the beach. You know something really exciting. So paul baran then publishes reliable digital communications systems using unreliable network repeater nodes the first of a series of papers that proposed the designed for distributed networks using packet switching. And we'll talk about that for a second. Method used to this day to transmit information over the internet and then a little later. Donald davies the. Uk's national physical laboratory or n. P. l. independently developed the same idea. So there's a little bit of like linear here So while baron used the term message blocks for his units of communication davies. Use the term packets so i was like what the hell is packet. Switching so packet switching is essentially and i. I used the the metaphor of of charlie and the chocolate factory. Ok you know mike. Tv how said the tv you're broken up into little pieces gets reassembled on the other side. That's basically what packet switching is with. Data the pieces get sent over in smaller pieces because they can travel over greater distances being smaller and then they get reassembled on the other side so that's packet switching s perfect. I'm gonna get a lot of emails. Okay so. Jc are lick lighter so jc are lick lighter. He was known as either. Jc are like friends. Call them lick several shame. I guess it's shorter than say j. C. r. guess so or just like yourself jim anyway He became the director of the newly-established information processing techniques office. Or the ipo within the us. Defense department's advanced research projects agency or darpa. So then robert. Taylor becomes the director of the information processing techniques office. Pto in nineteen sixty six and he intended to realize lighters idea of an interconnected networking system so he proposes to his boss the arpanet so the advanced research projects agency net which is a network that would connect the different projects that arpaio was sponsoring so a way to like keep everything together and at the time each project has its own specialized terminal and unique set of user commands so in order to talk to each terminal you had to physically go to the computer terminal that only spoke to that individual one so he was like what if we just had one computer that connected to everything and that was arpanet basically bam bam so there were like great. I love this. So they awarded. Arba awarded the contract to build this network to bolt beranek and newman or bbn technologies. And they're involved in the early stages of the internet in a major way and so all mentioned them like a bunch of times so the first arpanet link was established between the university of california los angeles and the stanford research institute at twenty to thirty hours on october. Twenty ninth nineteen. Sixty-nine the first message was the word log in that's boring. I know it's super boring computer guys. I was necessary to jump. It wasn't the first text message. Merry christmas oh. I don't know maybe it was being at least that s something. Yeah or what. Does it come here. I need you. That's the one for the telephone log in. Yeah right fine. at least it's easy to remember. Yeah i message sent over. The internet is the message lock-in so sent over arpanet between the network node at ucla and a second one at sri. So leonard kline rock of ucla said at the ucla and they typed in the l. and asked sri by phone if they received it got the l. Came the voice reply. Ucla typed in the. Oh asked if they got it and received got the oh. ucla then typed in the g. And the darn system crashed boy the beginning on the second attempt. It worked fine so by the end of that year. Four host computers connected together in the initial arpanet so this was like the beginning of of the end. Basically
Who should get the coronavirus vaccine first?
"I i mean story this week. Where at the end of twenty twenty starting to think about twenty twenty one. We've got a little bit of positive news on the covid front coming through with all the sort of steps forward in terms of developing a vaccine and we might be starting to think about actually meeting together in person in the office we could do the cast in the office. Perhaps who knows it seems like years ago that was a thing but maybe things will return to normal or at least normal ish. Natasha you've been looking into what the vaccine new means for how we're going to work. Yes i you're right vicky. This week we've had some really exciting news about coronavirus vaccine so the uk has become the first country in the world to prove the pfizer biontech rhinovirus vaccine for widespread use. Vaccinations could start as early as next week. For people in some high priority groups with eight hundred thousand doses. Say four hundred thousand complete treatments arriving in the k. In the first delivery now this is the end of the tunnel for many people who have suffered in this year throughout the pandemic in the world of work may mean exactly what you were saying. Vicky that we soon might be heading straight bites and the office to the sounds and smells of our colleagues. This is obviously when you've got news. But i've been looking into. This is exactly that what what does that mean. So the pandemic has largely proved that working from home is possible in many cases maybe even good for productivity do you think companies are going to urge workers particularly white collar workers people who may be able to do their jobs remotely to trudge the office soon as they can necessarily very true. The coronavirus crisis did that. Many people able to work from home really effectively. Before the pandemic companies were hugely work from home. So that was really bad. Perception in fact most business leaders told the world economic forum in two thousand and nineteen survey that they expected homeworking be negative for future productivity. Even though there's plenty of research demonstrate the opposite opposite so they've been proven wrong basically but what is true. Is that throughout this crisis. Companies have struggled to solve marietta. Problems come from having everyone. Working bosses are really worried because they can no longer see if you're working or how hard you're working. They struggled to know how to evaluate people's performances remotely. And they worry about whether working from home. We'll have hamper people's creativity. There are mental health issues concerning employers to so people are feeding isolated and lonely. And it's getting worse over the period of time that we've seen the longer we work from home. The worst gets their reporting high levels of stress anxiety and depression mental health issues and finally the pandemic raised cultural issues to such people feeding left out of work conversations. That would have happened in an open plan office and now taking place on private messaging channels or people were afraid that they'll be overlooked for promotions and opportunities at work. So it's a really big problems. They haven't actually managed to solve yet so given all of that. It's likely that companies will want work to combine the office if they can but the big question here is whether they're going to be set up with social distancing which means that people are able to sit next to each other and have to wear masks when they walk around basically similar to what was happening over the summer when the i look down lifted or whether they'll go back to normal and wait for that so it's said they can come back to a situation that was exactly the same as before the coronavirus so the way reopened offices operate in practice will impart depend. Who gets the vaccine. I with current plans. Favoring a staggered approach where all the people and those most medically vulnerable our head in the queue on paper that would mean that if officers wants open as normal they could wait until the employees age groups have been offered the vaccine and could theoretically opened the doors looking exactly as they did before the pandemic so as you as you mentioned There are of like there are different priorities. A different people Getting vaccine Based on their risk in their age and various other factors the of the world health organization has issued guidelines on but countries are interpreting in their own way. Doesn't mean if we are seeing and people who are older to begin with getting getting vaccines will Companies of encourage those. That have had vaccinations to be back at work. I will abuse of like staggering of like people with innocent adrian to have returned to the office to begin with and then so it rolls out like that or what was going to happen there. Yes as is in theory. If you think about the way the plans have gone from government. It looks like older age. Groups are going gets it earlier as well as people with medical conditions. That need if i so the most vulnerable and then it will go so slowly closer and closer to the younger people the population. So we'll get staggered of opposite way. I i guess. I in theory if you have an older working level of employees so if my employer over the age of forty or fifty they might be vaccinated sooner and they might be able to come to the office earlier in theory but i is. The answer not really happened that way because there were really two specific reasons why that won't be the case. If if older employees allowed to turn over younger employees age discrimination could be on the card. So it'd be very easy for people whose age groups still haven't been offered the vaccine to say look really unfair for older people in my group to be able to return to the office and for meat not be given the opportunity simply. Because i haven't been given the vaccine i legally right now. The uk also can't make vaccine monetary. So there might. It might be the case in those age groups where you assume everyone's had the vaccine they might be built haven't had it at all and decided that they're that they're not going to so the uk government said that it won't make a vaccine mandatory anyway so employees can never really assume that one hundred percent of employees will have taken the vaccine to go back to normal and those that do really really thin ice so companies could face human rights challenges as well as potential liability if employees suffer side effects as a result of being forced to vaccinate if they feel like they're being pressured by employers who wants to go back to normal when they say look. We don't have social distancing. Want to go back to exactly the way it was are you. Are you vaccinated. And they feel bad pressure to do so. That could be a big problem. And also there's a second thing which is employees can refuse to tell their employees if they've had vaccine to it's not their obligation to disclose that information so the nicholas southern the employment lawyer who we spoke to this piece said that companies that demanding more bums on seats will likely be more led by commercial needs than anything else when deciding who to bring back to the office but there other people who being clients bring vaccinated employees back i so she says that companies should tread carefully. Some employees will not want to be vaccinated for religious philosophical or health reasons and companies. Could face discrimination claims as a result of that but we can't forget her is so second. Take time for people to feel safe coming to work again. Regardless of how many people were vaccinated and their safety remains the biggest hurdle to a full return to the office so who's linked study of uk c. level executives from mid sized companies which found two fifths expect employee resistance to go back to the office when they reopen all. These things has taken into consideration when planning returned to the office which is likely in springtime if not sooner if the roll out with the vaccine goes well but with a more flexible feature on the horizon the biggest challenge that companies will have beyond safety concerns is how they can create inclusive workspace and cultures that worked for remote workers hybrid workers and office workers. I think it's tempting to think of the vaccine is like it's going to be this single moment where we rush rush out into the streets hug complete strangers like va day. But it's not going to be like is going to be like the congratu snipe excessive everyone a vaccine. So i mean we're going to be in this weird hybrid situation for awhile don't we. Yeah that's that's what it sounds like at the moment gonna be really hard to tell what implausible decide to do until we start to see more people going back to work in the uk probably in spring twenty twenty one as i said before when the vaccine becomes a bit more wide spreads. But you're right. I mean there's not going to be breakthrough wrestler. Everyone's had the vaccine. We're all cured. There's no parallel toll. Everyone lick the handles on the doors of your offices all safe again. You ever do that. Good but look judging going my serious. Judging by the survey data coming in recent months this is kind of a break from what's happened before people do enjoy working from home part time i love them. Do miss the office. But it's not because they miss being a building or they missed. The commute is because of their colleagues and the social aspects of work. Those are the kind of things that they missed the most. And so it's likely that companies will listen to that and even if they do want people to come back because of the concerns about their productivity and about creativity or their or their mindsets. They're still probably will factor in that feedback and offer a hybrid type workplace since working from home is proven to have no downside on productivity.
Halting the Holiday Hustle by Rose Lounsbury
"Altering the holiday hustle by rosebery of rose lounge buried dot com. If you enjoy the alliteration the title this post as much as i do. Give me a digital fist-bump english nerds unite. But i digress. Haven't even really started yeesh. Today's topic is the season that is upon us. You've seen the wreaths and the stores heard the beginning strains of those old familiar tunes. And maybe vince bruce. W behavior to ensure top spot on santa's coveted nice list. The s midst of time again and with that comes the inevitable holiday hustle. Marta least we seem to think it's inevitable. In america we go from store to store buying trinkets for loved ones and glittery decor of our homes. We bake we send cards. We are in a bit of do-goodery after all it is the season for giving we feel an obligation to squeeze in at least one act of goodwill toward men amongst the holiday parties and tinsel and above all we try to make memories those indelible treasures that last long for the trees on the curb and the last bits of shiny paper find their way to the trash. The trouble is all this holiday. Hustle often isn't available in fact. It's worse than that is downright stressful recreate so much anxiety. About having a good time enjoying the holidays we often fail to do. Just that the irony again. English nerds correctly used literary term fist-bump. This is on my mind today because my friend. Michelle recently posted this on facebook quote. I've been thinking about christmas cards this week specifically about not doing them for the first time ever. I love christmas cards. My joy sending them in receiving them. I have fun selecting a design but every year. They are source of some stress for me. What photo will we use. Do we take our owner higher photographer. How will find the time to get them all done. We typically sent around two hundred. I've also been thinking a lot about time and how we spend it very recently of known or heard of several young people who have passed away in their thirties and knowing this has been an important reminder to treasure each day in the people. I love for the gifts. They are some thinking. No christmas cards this year. I'm not saying i won't do them again. But who knows maybe not thinking that we will donate the money. We save children's charities more time for our family money to charities and less cards in the trash. This really is a tough decision for me breaking away from the tradition in the ritual of taking the time. Send something personal in the mail. That is why. I'm putting it out here so i can hold myself accountable to my choice and quote. Michelle received some very interesting comments from request to not join the anti christmas movement to light hearted individuals who wanted to halt the crazy holiday hustle and actually enjoy the season of love and giving which got me thinking to eat all feel this way about the holidays secretly for example of notice that my mom love you. Mom sometimes seems a bit stressed about baking holiday. Cookies mom if you're reading this and i know you are because you're one of those awesome moms who actually read her grown daughters blog about minimum. I wanna say this. We don't come to your house for the cookies while they are delicious. We come to see you to love you to enjoy the season of giving because we are lucky enough to be with those we love. If it stresses you out. Skip the baking all of you just as much over a package of holiday themed us. In fact i'm inordinately curious to find out if the red holiday filling tastes different from the everyday white thereof. Said it mom. You're off the hook for the cookies. If you want to be note this does in no way apply to the anchovies spaghetti. You make for christmas eve. That stays the holiday. Hustle stress stems entirely from the expectations. We put on ourselves. No one else really expects us to have the best lighting display in the neighborhood or fill each of our children stockings with themed presents. We expect that of ourselves so my suggestion. This holiday season is. Let's give ourselves a break. Just say no to. The hustle ignored the stores of you. Want to don't bake unless it brings you joy forgo the holiday cards unless licking two hundred envelopes as your idea of a good saturday night please. No i am sarcastic. But my don't judge my flaked my fair share of holiday card envelopes and may well do so again this year. What do i propose instead of being a straight up holiday hustler. Do something you love. Spread some joy. That's what the season is all about. Greet your neighbors with cheerful smile. And hello surprise them by shoveling the driveway when they're not looking note to my neighbors your totally welcome to fulfil your need for cheerful giving in this fashion and i promise to act very very surprised. Spend your baking time selecting and donating non-perishable goods for local food pantry. Better yet do that with your kids have a holiday movie marathon with your friends and copious amounts of holiday snack. Ary basically teacher self imposed expectations. And just do whatever truly brings you joy this holiday season now view. Excuse me. I'm off to buy a package of holiday oreos. I believe they're already on the shelves
How Is Social Media Confronting Election Misinformation
"Well, we had so much speculation about social media. You know there there's gonna be a lot of misinformation Election night and all week was there. And how did this all work out? Yes, all the major platforms did have plans as we talked about last week to try to prevent misinformation from surging on social media. In retrospect, it appears that Facebook and Twitter have managed pretty well. But YouTube is still being criticized for how they handled things. Twitter regularly flag the president's account for Miss Linney tweets. And permanently suspended in account belonging to former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon proposing a video on the network inciting violence against Dr Fauci and the FBI director. The video was live on Bannon Facebook Page, though for about 10 hours before it was removed, and YouTube also eventually removed the video for violating its policy against inciting violence. YouTube was criticized for being too slow to take action on this and other videos. Facebook also removed a fast growing group called Stop the Steel, in part because it also called for violence from some members of the group. Twitter and Facebook, both suspended or tag left and right leaning news accounts posting information about voting, including at least three fake Associated Press accounts. That Twitter hastily removed Wednesday after they declared bite in the winter, winter and Michigan before it was actually announced. So lots of information I did see even in my own social media that I wasn't getting notifications from some more kind of politically leaning groups and you know that they definitely were slowing down the spread of information for sure on Facebook. Right. I saw 11 restaurant here Is Florida posted something. That was very far left. And and boy. Oh, boy, did they pay for it? I mean people for out with vengeance after them and Is just not a smart marketing move. If you're you gotta remember over 70 million people voted for Donald Trump. And if you are, I have a business that requires you to draw customers to it. Maybe it's not such a good idea to do that, but I could be Ah Pinterest licked in other social media sites of Ah, forced into the war against massive information this cycle. How does pin it up interest to do that? I mean, I thought this was something you look for. Don't know. Pictures and stuff, right? Yes. Well, you know with with these other network, you know being you know, focused on taking down misinformation. People are turning to these other groups up interest, which is normally a place to share recipes or crafting ideas. Researchers found that the phrase stolen ballots Um, promoting false claims about vote county of process. So the company they're also removed post had violated its policies even linked in which, as we know, it's mostly about, you know, sharing business information. Where people were sharing videos and articles that push false claims about the election. The company also moderated post that it considered to be incorrect, so people who were having their post taken down on Facebook or Twitter were turning to other Other networks, some even the social media site next door neighbor. I don't know if you tell you that too much most commonly place to complain about speeding neighbors with used to Paul Post claims about the election, and but that apparently is pretty much self moderated. So the people who are in the neighborhood were taking down those so You know, Certainly, people will definitely find lots of places to post information and, you know, it's really up to all of us to make a decision about what we want to believe in. You know where we find credible info. Yeah. And look, look some other places too. Just don't take one and say, Oh, look at that. A lot of sources these days.

Like I say H die that we can solve it and there's five days now one, two, three, four, five minutes I can solve I mean we have really gone anyway you know we sort of bubbling around in a bit of Ryan. So, what are the main to me was I should say We'll aged either we bubble. The moving criminal a little closer back to where process currently now you know. I looked at try pullbacks. Pullback. We saw I saw as consolidation that occurred back fall looks pretty much from the twelfth of October to the seventeenth of October just Assad Roy. Zippy zippy's easy ZAP. And and then we saw that little bullish candle now that bullish was on the seventeenth of two. and. What we say from, there's a just a really great run. You know it's just a bloody good move simple as that. That's it a really, really really strong move. Sorry From here. What are we were? Options will as we consoled Loa well, it doesn't look at this moment. Look things can change very very quickly bitcoin strong right now let's not forget it. You know the clothes that we had yesterday. Is the highest close that we have ever had on the x shot, but we haven't closed that high. Let me tell you the last time we close at home that that close. Thirteen, six, full five. That's the the loss close that we had high was the eighth of January two, thousand and tank. That's a long time ago. You know that's that's a long time ago. So. It's it is looking incredibly bullish and we could certainly say bitcoin just tackle and just say you know what? Thank you mother for the rabbit shot the guys hold Shot the guy the horses bolted and off we go on I, rip. Of A? So, these are the realities of our marketing aged. As we consolidate, we get closer to having an opportunity where we look to be too overboard. And then. We can. Off Again. Tell you the truth. I love a little pullback really would. Pay The guy. Nor what what Bitcoin Golf Forever said why? But I wanted to get up with simplicity why because I tried? The a trade for living radio. So what I want I, want to pull back because pullback software paternity PULCHRA breakout. It'd be fine. The three strategies designed around pullbacks or breakouts. That's it. Boom Shaka Laka Saunders. Whitening say what does on? Basically. I didn't come in on the fifteen but tell you what? He a little bit sleigh for the time being. So what happened yesterday was we did move down. We moved down to a low all who are twelve, thousand, seven, hundred, seventy, six, hundred, close at thirteen, thousand, sixteen army closed above the thousand wants gang. With currently ops fraught now half percent the one to thirteen, thousand, one, hundred and twenty dollars and I'm just keeping an all out a pull back into that twelve pullback level. You starting to increase you know back in that cradles on the top of the crowd was on, which is a ten is now twelve, six, five nights a pretty close. Keeps creeping up as the market continues to console that bitcoin is looking of super duper bullish. What else have we got on the odds right now theory and pulled back to that four hundred get a in their took a tried yesterday. Da. On the sixteen hour. Said I wasn't gonNA try brought my rule pretty dirty I'm a cellphone that but high. Go to just go to shopping up. About decision I wasn't feeling good. Mike Errors I am. So. This wall doesn't make it. Any easier doesn't get any better way artist therion brought now's rod licking cradles. Any trades there on the day. But tell you what if we can push out from here? It's going to be such a beautiful Trenton thinking they'll be lots of good opportunities yesterday down three point five percent now currently at three, hundred, ninety, four, Dole seventy, seven off hop a half of a percent right now law on excel paste over the correct that twenty six, mock yesterday we were down two percent we counted twenty four point nine cents I just below twenty, five Dan points to the rave of. Rebounds Twenty Three Thirty Five, and we raised up to two, hundred, seventy, five, sixty, five, which was the brand of that resistance that will now back in a to sixty point three, five, Selah full point. Can You Build a Business Alone?
"Can you build a business alone totally by yourself? Well, the simple answer is yes but what kind of business you could literally open eliminate stand in your front yard and that's considered technically a business providing a product for a fee you make lemonade youth set up the table you sell it. The fee done deal but we obviously are not talking about lemonade stand. We're talking about a business that could actually stain your lifestyle and make it a comfortable one. You know if you're going to go into business and start something and really work hard on you WanNa make sure it's worth your while. So has the potential to make you financially free. Is this possible. Yes, it is. But there are caveats and we'll talk about they are in a moment. This can be done. I've seen it done and I've done it myself where I literally ran the whole business by myself. No external help not even a freelancer no external services nothing. Just software and my time it was a services business. I was creating business websites on wordpress for Mike cline since is over a decade ago and I did everything myself the marketing the sales, the service, the actual craft of building the website, the maintenance the the customer calls the invoicing, the financing everything, and I've seen a lot of entrepreneurs start out this way, and this is what's called being self employed. This is not being an entrepreneur, an entrepreneur somebody who leverages resources and time in order to produce results for their customers and to be free. Of the business meaning that they can step away from it for a month or two, not do a single lick of work and the business continues to go because they have teammates they have pleased they have people working on things. The system goes they build the system they make the hires the put in the assets they put in all the things they need to do so that it runs by itself that's what an entrepreneur really is. A self employed person is somebody who actually works for themselves. Very similar to what I was doing when I was doing my business consulting firm and I was building websites. This is very similar to somebody who's a doctor and running their own clinic, a chef that runs her own restaurant there the business owner and the talent, and the really the product. They're really the the thing they're selling the service, but it is technically a business but one of the things I've learned really early on about twenty years ago is a big difference was self. Employed person and an entrepreneur I learned this from Robert Kiss Sakis Rich Dad poor dad his book and he has this four quadrant system that talks about like you please you have self employed you have entrepreneurs and you have investors and really these are the four ways people make money in this world and the top two quadrants are the employed and self employed in the bottom two quadrants are entrepreneur and investor, and you really WanNa be on the bottom quadrants because those two quadrants. Leverage Time Leveraged Talent. They're not exchanging their time for money. So I worked in my business building I saw the people. But when I was not doing that I wasn't earning money, there's no way I could step away from it because my clients wouldn't get what they paid for. So let's just flat out say, yes, this is possible but you're going to have to do as a self employed person because that's how it works. You have to hire somebody else you have to empower somebody else to do that work for you. In order for you to be free of that attachment to the business or attachment to delivering that service or delivering that product. Now having said that that's still a business being self employed is still a business and might enjoy that you might like that kind of business people that love control and love their craft will love this type of business. Now, I am of the opinion even if you love your craft photographer, you can benefit with some key hires a manager somebody who deals your finances someone had to go she your rates. Somebody to build your website all that kind of stuff is worth having people hired either as a freelancer or as an employee or part time to help you just focus on your craft as a photographer and not deal with the other logistical things because that's your magic sauce, right? That's that's your. Special talent and you should focus on that as a service provider. But even if you didn't, you can still run that business. Now having said that again, there's limitations. There's only so far. You can take that business when I was building. For my clients, I was pretty inexpensive the beginning, but then I raised my prices raise prices. But even if I raised my prices to an astronomical amount, let's say for example, I was charging forty or fifty thousand dollars a website I would need at least six weeks to create that website and deliver it to the client and receive my fifty grand. So even if I was charging fifty grand a website, I can really only bring on about eight clients a year given you know. Holiday season things like that, and that's not bad. But at the end of the day, I cannot make more than four hundred, thousand dollars a year in revenue, which is a great number. You know that's not a bad number as a pretty healthy business in revenue but that's basically my ceiling. I, don't have any more hours in the day I. Don't have any more weeks in the year and if I don't WanNa leverage my time and I don't want to hire somebody that's my ceiling.
Interview With Matthew McConaughey
"Matthew. Welcome to the show. Good to be here. Tim. How are you sir? Always, peddler is line was great. He was always be never did it never went bankrupt and that was a piece of honor for him not to go bankrupt but he was always after all boom sort of busted he was always act boys if I could just. I just hit a lick and he never did hit that lick. But if if he lick is. Big Sale Olympic is a big cow lick is okay Mr. Jim Magana. Hey I want all my pipe from you and we're going to drill two hundred thousand feet above abide. So says huge count on my Gosh I'm going to supply the pipe to this one large account that would be a lick he never quite yet. I'd just religiously keep putting it on after two weeks. Now seem to be run into a problem. He I've got I've. got a whole full of pimples and it's it's it's getting pretty severe back. She's Oh. Wow. You've just got more impurities then I thought you just keep keep doing it going to keep bringing out those impurities I keep it up three weeks. Go by now I've got full blown acne and I'm really concerned my mom's staying on with no stick with it all coming out well I sneak off to the dermatologist on my own. And this was not my mom's recommendation I, sneak there on. In, take a bottle of this Mako. Doc Look at my face. This is put on your face shown this bodies liberty reads ladies like Oh no, no, no, no, no no. No this is i. someone that's like forty year old or not a teenage child who's got oily pours anyway this blocking your pores your pores can't breathe. You are ten days away from having ice pick holes in your face from acne get you off this. Okay as we also have to get you on this stuff got accutane. It's a years worth of medicine. It will dry you up there will have its complications, but it'll be better than in the acting that you can have APSO boom. I could on the accutane off the oil of make and around that time my dad who's always as peddling and look and how to hit lick. says. Damn Boy I. We got a lawsuit against his company. Them becoming I mean you're you're looking at me look you. You're all swollen up. So he takes me to see lawyer remember lawyers, Jerry hairs. So I'm sitting down with my dad and his lawyer Jerry Harrison new think we got a case and he asked me like you know, hey, did you confidence lower? We know with these these pimples you've got this acne down by guess Sir because we are you doing good with the girls and I said, no, sir, not at all he his eyes light up and I can tell that even at my age fifteen he he's building his case goes. Emotional. Distress you were under emotional are under emotional distress and I look at them and I'm like Sure Yeah Moshe stress in Jerry's. Gosh Dog, we can get thirty five to fifty thousand dollars. Emotional distress go long way Jim Medaglia caught. Use it every year and it was just a few years ago and you said before you bring them in scrape some of the soil off the top of the right underneath the plant. Yes mark and it. It is not a sure situation. It would not work in a great big greenhouse but for us with relatively fewer pots and things I like to I actually it's a little set of garden tools handles about six inches long one is a rake one's a shovel and not forgotten right now the other, but I like to rake off that top. Oh, no more than quarter inch, even eight inch that will be picking up many of the shed. Body parts of little tiny insects. People are calling out Cardi B for her crowded 28th birthday
"Rolled and Lady douche bag of the day. You Who's your D bag? Rtb ono Cardi B. Everybody loves cardio. You know, I hate this because you know me. I usually love Cardi B but I don't like the choices she's made this week. Oh, so she just celebrated her 28th birthday and birthday. So Cardi b, not 12. Turn down the opportunity to celebrate. Decided to invite a bunch of friends to Las Vegas. For a big birthday party. Um, slight problem. Well, well, problem. Big The term big birthday party scares me a little bit all living there in a pandemic. It's big. I don't know if you've seen pictures from this party. Look here. Yeah, I just opened it right up and tell me what you see. How about this? Yes, Bradley, you be the verbal picture teller. Can you tell our listeners who cannot look at the pictures of cardio bees? 28th birthday shindig in Las Vegas? You tell the people what you're seeing. Oh, was this like from last year? I mean, this is this year. This is her big birthday party in Las Vegas, Nevada. I see literally one person wearing him at like one person, and it's not full. Yeah, on crowd and a chin diaper. It's not actually a mask. You know what I mean? Like they're wearing it low slung. Well, this person isn't Oh, no, that person. You're right. Yes, there was another. There's another picture of somebody wearing it like a chin diaper. Auntie Chin diaper. That's it's a thing. Okay. Anyway, this is a full on party man. Nobody is social dis Nothing. Nobody's wearing a mask. Nothing. Does she literally later? Global pandemic is not going on She to my knowledge. I should double check and see if she's said anything Since these pictures. I want to know what people said on Twitter that card people that when you want to know what people's opinions are on Ah, a certain issue. Just go to Twitter. She she had this party and like, Like I said, like she crammed a bunch of people into a club in the Las Vegas Nevada area. And there was no masks. There was no social distancing there licking each other. By the way, her husband Offset who she filed for divorce from She's giving him a lap dance, okay? So me thinks that perhaps They're not. Getting a divorce. Maybe. I don't know. I don't know what they're up to. In any case. I just thought this sort of like brazen, especially given the fact Bradley do you remember early in the pandemic? Cardi B was like a voice of reason. She was like, guys. Everybody wear the mask. It's not that hard, like do this stuff because That's what we're doing. But I do know that when she filmed her her I don't know. We don't know for calling it lapper wop video. That's how old and out of that old and out of touch we are. She did you know, they kept everything on lock down like they Everybody was tested repeatedly, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. So then, looking at these pictures, I think to myself I bet that that's the excuse. I bet that they tested Everybody there. I mean, that could be because one thing we do know is that People with resource is in this moment have access toe tests that not everybody else does. And then I want everybody to sit for a second and think about how nice it would be to be able to, like, I don't know. Have a holiday with your whole family. But, yeah, it's so interesting. So I'm looking at some people are calling it out on Twitter, but it doesn't seem like there's any particular call out happening. I'd be curious what she has to say about it. I mean, and she very well may say nothing, which is also like her prerogative, right? Like She can just decide. You know, at any given time, like I don't really feel like addressing that at all. So she might just not say anything. And then again, she might. She might come out and give us every good reason why It was a okay for her to have a birthday party for herself. I do see a lot of headlines like of you. Google Cardi B Birthday party. You get a lot of Party B comes under fire from fans hosting huge party Cardi B. Slam for Pak birthday party fans or slamming Cardi B for showing off her huge something. Oh birthday party. And I do find it interesting that it looks like the photos that she published or just her. You know, not like the Oh, no. She actually posted that photo that I am Cardi B posted that photo that group photo one with all the people in there all she's on the floor. I don't understand why, but I mean Who knows? She did post a picture of the next day of her walking in a bikini, and she was like I'm walking down because I'm still drunk. So like she had a time like she definitely had a time. Just like that. I'm not comfortable with that. Not at all. You know, I don't have to be Yeah, No, everybody gets to make their choice. But then I think about all the people that were flying in and out for that and one of the person one of the persons one of the people who showed up with Kylie Jenner. We talked about this a little bit and then dirt alert. Update. But that woman Is Trying very hard to be friends of Cardi B O for sure, Right? Eso? Yes, because she she likes attention. They will have you know that she took her own private jet. To Las Vegas to go to this party, and then she and her friends got back on the jet, and they partied on her jet. Which, if that is not something that Sounds so foreign. I don't know what is Right. Like when was the last time you partied on your private jet? Bradley, zero of Ah, Any Who's he? What's he listen like? I just the thing that there's like cognitive dissonance because Party B was an early voice of You know, pay attention to the rules do the things you need to dio where a mask, she said all those things out loud, but then to see her acting. Exactly the opposite is a little bit frustrating, and I'm sure for fans And and non fans alike, Right? Yeah, I think it's you know. It's It's a different thing to say like I think it's you know, everybody is going to judge so that's totally fine. And when it comes to celebrities, we judge like nobody's business. Cove. It is a little different because everybody has like their own boundaries, And sometimes things are when you're in one place. The recommendations might be different than another. But this doesn't seem like shades of great. I mean, this just seems it's quote. It's so obvious. I just think about all the people like I don't care about the I should say I don't care. I am less concerned about the health of the people who are choosing to do this. And the people who have to work to make that party happened, like, think of all, and I do think this is I should be really careful because I don't like to get into political conversations. But she has made some political statements that would lead you to indicate she cares very much about people who are less fortunate and don't have resource is right. And I would just like to remind her that all of the people that work at the place that she threw her party probably don't have a choice to go to work. And put themselves at risk with a bunch of people not wearing masks ready. So I think that to me is a fair criticism. I think that's actually a really good point. Your right. I mean, the people who are they're working in the situation. And actually if you scroll down and look at some more of the pictures You will see guards, you know, like bodyguards that are there that are masked. You will see people who are clearly implicitly. And the problem is because I can hear some people saying Well, you know, the employees are massed in there, Baba. Did it really kind of doesn't matter when you're in a big room, right? And it looks like they're in like a big party room or something. It's the combination of masking and social distancing and hand washing. It's it's all you have to kind of aliens. All the prongs of the attack, If you like, I don't know. I feel like we've seen somewhere recently where a bunch of people were together. You know that sounds really familiar. I can't. Yeah, but yeah, but But but But we do hear these stories of people all being piled up together. And then they mask super spreader events, right? Even if you're outside and this looks like it's an indoor event, and they're all sort of Yeah. I don't know. Card E B. I'm disappointed in you. I'm sad about it because they usually love everything She does. But this was this was a miss for me. Party B.

"Are now emerging in refugee camps. Why did it take so long for the virus to reach them By Melissa Godin. For a number of months, the world's largest refugee camps appear to have been spared the worst of the coronavirus pandemic but human rights groups now say cove nineteen infection rates are on the rise in the temporary. That house millions of the world's most vulnerable people with alarming consequences both for those vulnerable groups, as well as the world more broadly the United Nations high. Commissioner for Refugees reports that globally twenty one, thousand of the world's thirty million refugees have tested positive for the virus across ninety seven countries at the end of September. Thirty two new cases were reported in the refugee camps. In Cox's Bazar. Bangladesh home. To seven hundred, forty, five, thousand Rohingya an ethnic minority fleeing violence and discrimination in. Myanmar. In Greece, more than two hundred, forty refugees have tested positive for the virus on the island of Lesbos, and in Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. Cova nineteen outbreaks have occurred at several camps over the past month though UNHCR reports the numbers rose sharply in September. The true number of cases remains unknown because of limited testing. Aid agencies had long expressed fears about the potentially devastating impacts of the virus for those living in crowded camps where medical services are sparse yet for the first six months of the pandemic case rates remained far lower than expected while low testing rates in refugee camps could explain why so few cases have been reported experts say camps isolation from host communities, as well as the imposition of strict laws down measures curb the spread of the virus even if refugees have so far been spared the worst of the pandemics immediate health impact, the outbreak has taken a huge toll on refugees lives. The global economic recession has led to major cuts to humanitarian funding for refugee camps, causing food shortages, and. Employment Opportunities for displaced people with the Norwegian Refugee Council estimating three quarters of displaced people have lost income since the pandemic began lockdowns have also further restricted refugees mobility with countries like Greece placing tighter restrictions on refugees than the rest of the population. Moreover, many experts say governments are using the pandemic as an excuse to violate refugees rights. Governments are using covid nineteen as a pretext to block people from the right to seek asylum says bill freely the director of human rights watches. Refugee. And Migrant Rights Division. It runs roughshod over the basic principles of refugee protection. He says now, as the virus begins circulating in camps around the world experts worry that refugees who have already suffered so much from the pandemic may not get the medical support they need. If the disease gets introduced into more refugee camps, it would be a tinderbox says freekick noting that the virus would spread rapidly the low case rates we have seen so far free lick says are just a lucky break. Why have cove nineteen rates been lower than expected in refugee camps? covid nineteen rates in refugee camps or unexpectedly low in part because the camps tend to be isolated from surrounding communities limiting the odds of the virus spreading into the camps camps are situated often in the most desolate unwanted land that a country can find free like says, no one casually goes in and out national lockdowns also help protect refugees from the virus in Jordan, for instance, which hosts seven hundred. Forty seven thousand refugees mostly from Syria the government implemented. One of the world's strictest lockdowns, shutting down airports for several months and jailing people who broke quarantine. There was tight lockdown that was put in place towards the Third Week of March including the shutting down of all the borders and airspace says, Juliet Toomas. UNICEF's Chief of communications for the middle, east, and North Africa, about Jordan this help she says. Additional restrictions placed specifically on refugee camps also helped limit viral spread. Many camps have reduced the number of people entering and exiting. For instance, in Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar only twenty percent of the usual number of humanitarian workers were allowed to enter during the first few months of lockdown and deliveries were made less frequently in order to reduce potential transmission according to Saad Hamady a south. Asia campaigner for Amnesty International many of the operations except the essential ones were carried out remotely Hamadi says, these are the measures that might have reduced or delayed the spread of the virus. There are other factors however, that could explain low case numbers. Half of refugees worldwide are under the age of eighteen according to the UNHCR and their relative young age may make them less susceptible. To having a severe infection with the virus if young people are ACM dramatic or have mild symptoms, they may also be less likely to get tested. It's also possible that there have been cases of course at nineteen that have gone undetected and camps. While some testing is available, it's hindered by shortage of testing supplies and medical personnel to carry out the tests. Some refugees also don't. WanNa get tested for fear that they may have to self isolate and therefore be unable to carry out any income generating activities they rely on for survival in Cox's Bazar the world's largest refugee settlement in Bangladesh less than one percent of the population has been tested. The lower case numbers could therefore be a result of low testing rates. The actual number of cases could be higher. But experts say that despite low testing rates cove in nineteen infection rates in camps still have not been as bad as expected. Even if you carried out a large number of tests, it still likely to be a low number of infections says somebody if Cova Nineteen was spreading through camps undetected camps would witness rising numbers of people requesting medical attention or rising numbers of deaths neither of which have been the case in several camps according to UNHCR data I do think there's a hidden outbreak to an extent, but we're not seeing other indicators showing a massive outbreak says to Jacobson cares country director in Syria were not seeing a host of people falling ill or dying.
"You so much for joining us again Dr Christopher. Halloway thank you so much for having me. Again. This is like on the east of the honors. I. Created a word. I'm just thrilled that you could join us again as you are also in Georgia. So I know you kind of through facebook and I don't think we've had the chance to actually meet in person yet but I feel like I know you and a little bit about your family just from being France on facebook and I, want to hear a little bit about your home schooling journey because you were homeschooling even before the Derby I was home schooling for the Pandey and I will say we've met at a ca or something. You're right years ago. We ready. Dump -solutely. So my home school journey though as you know, I, have twin boys that will that are almost six than they will tell you their birthday if they were in. But almost six years also, we are now in our third year of home schooling. So that means we were doing this way before Kobe decided coming here and be real disrespectful showed nations takeover. So we are in our third year, the boys are in our spray just because of their level, their knowledge skills and things like that they have. So they are actually in first grade, not kindergarten and I could talk about that more if you want me to as we go along and how we may decision, but we started within pre K. Ish in all. The way up to where we are. Now, we had a short term where we did try outside and did like art time story school outside of the home but we decided to bring them at into the home probably about six to eight months into that probably about six months actually. So for the most part, they have been home kit in it with me. Yeah, and I think you have always been working at least part-time correct while you've been homeschooling actually all time all the time. Yeah. Yeah. I have a private practice located in Douglasville Georgia in still although I do not see clients every day of the week, you know how it is like managing a practice clients it's a group private practice so just Making sure the INS and outs of the practice are good and going making sure my Africa the clinicians who are also making sure they are good as well and handling all at aided as stuff goes on with at and what is now almost two years into Bob also been an assistant professor in an online department or college yes. A lot going on. Yes. So did you know if you feel comfortable sharing? Did you know that you were going to home school even before your twins gun here? So it's always been a desire of mine wasn't too sure what that would look like my husband's in educator in his we both say that we came up through the public school systems in we are great lick it s titled and so it was something that he i talked about what we wanted the education for our children to look like and. If that could happen in the various settings that were made available to them outside of our home at the beginning I didn't know what that would look like how long we would be doing it. I just knew I candidate and want them in daycare or preschool setting at that time, and so we just really started doing everything at home with them, and then we said let's do kindergarten. Let's take it through that in. That's what we did not. Erin the first grade in. So we just say we're GONNA. Do it as long as it works for our family, the voice of never really expressed interest or asked to go to outside school I don't WanNa say reels Luca's all of Israel school when you're regardless if you decide to public private home or whatever world schooling, but they haven't expressed the desire, the most a did probably about two years ago, they wanted to ride a school bus. Most cases I owe us but so are we didn't know what that was going to look like in the beginning but we in bearing very pleased with the decision to start it answer, still be sticking with it guided, and so now that we are in the of pandemic I, do think that this is something that other parents are maybe considering even more than maybe they were before and so I'm wondering if you can just share like where someone might even start to home school because I know that there are still things you have. To do like with the state and I'm thinking, it's probably different for each state will where with someone even get started in you know making sure that they are taking the right steps to home school their actually that is going to be the first step looking to see what the requirements are or their states. Some states are very laxed some states or kind of very strenuous and have a lot of requirements in some states are Akanik inbetween of what they require. So simple here in Georgia all you need to do is just submit. Your Declaration of intent leading the art of education know that you have your child and you are educating them and that's really it. They don't ask what my education level is a don't ask what's my curriculum or what we'll be learning. They do ask the started end of my school term or semester things like at just the age of the kids.

"Have a liquor license if you are a convicted felon, right? I'm not sure the exact legalities of that, but I know there's all sorts of regulations when it comes to liquor license. Imagine, how frustrating that is for bar owners. They're essentially one of the most restricted industries like they constantly have people checking up and things you have to do and things you have to pay and have to renew every year, so and then there are the first to go when it comes to these shutdowns and makes complete sense. You're not going to one bar like you do one restaurant. You Bar hop and you spread around, but. There has to be away at some point of this continues for us the year that it's more the people that are held accountable for the mask stuff in the social distancing versus the bar. They argue okay, yeah, the state has the right to tell us to shut down, but the state then has to provide funding to keep us in operation since it's the result of the states actions that is putting us out of business as as a small business at the moment. Lake make anyone can make. The argument does not going to work. That's not GonNa work I do think the better argument, which at least the orange looked orange county case and they don't make this night case, but I think the better argument is that restaurants are allowed to serve alcohol and bars are, and that's arbitrary and capricious enforcement. I don't think it was succeed by. That's a better argument well rather than. It being unconstitutional and with that. Wouldn't you think that the state? If, they were arguing this case would would make the case that said Hey. We didn't tell you to shut down. We just told you you couldn't serve. Fashion on. And a lot of the bars, that's good for now a lot of the bars who have? This is now they're second. Shutdown be at unofficial have resorted to. Go into the package. Delivery or to go stuff which is allowed, but I mean if our state, it'd be like you shut us down well. I didn't shut you down. They just told you you couldn't serve booze for people to drink. For, you to run your business as usual yeah. Right, but it has again. The motives are tied to public safety as long as they can tie back to public safety. Don't think they have much of a chance of prevailing here. It was so you know to target them for some? Reason unrelated to public safety they may have an argument, but on the to get that injunction one of the main things they have to show a likelihood of success on the merits and I don't they can show that here now. We want to ask you because boy. Have we seen quite a bit of this? There are a lot of people Moses who are going to war with mass. You know you're not gonNA. Make me suffocate. I'm not wearing a mask man. Man and these people they spout off a of lines. It's almost like the folks who are in the I know my rights crew, and the police officer pulls them over, and they try to outsmart the cops well. He's folks think that they can say that. They have a medical condition that makes it, so they don't have to wear a mask and you are not allowed to ask them about their medical condition. Where does that land legally and does it matter that? The place can still enforce whatever they want, I'm sure. They're private business as long as they're not discriminating as a protected class, they can pretty much do whatever they want. These people are trying to have a medical condition to get to their under the ADA the disabilities. You'd have to have a legitimate medical condition legitimate documentation to be able to do that and this whole you. You haven't asked me I don't have to comply is nonsense, and even then you know given the ordinance put in place. I don't know that would really work. Yeah. I thought a that would be the argument that the. They can't ask what your condition is, isn't that? Isn't that the case for like this fake service? It's the same thing people do. Well there's there's a difference between local support animals service dogs. I've seen we've seen. A lot of backlash against the emotional support animals now because it's kind of nonsense There is some some language under the Ada where you can't ask what some words disability is, but at the same time I think you can also ask for proper documentation to ensure, it's actually a service animal no. You know. It's. It's a gray area, but the case law. I was actually talking about case a couple of weeks ago. We're guy moved into an apartment complex. He tried to have an emotional support animal, and the it went to whole lawsuit. It went to the State Supreme Court wasn't in. Florida basically said he can't have the dog there because someone else was allergic to dogs live there for him. So the emotional support animal thing doesn't doesn't matter at all. It's whoever was their first, because those aren't coming under the ADA. They've got to be service. Service animals right. They have to be legitimate service animals. The same application would apply here. You really have to have a legitimate medical condition in even then given a this is a pandemic. They may disable well. You should stay home so so the bottom line on the masses. If you go into public, you go into Walmart, which is starting on Monday mandatory mask across the country, and you're not wearing a mask and they tell you they want you to wear a mask. Don't have any damn rights there. You could tell you to leave. They can tell you to leave and remember even under the Ada the required to make accommodations, so you know Walmart has typically has curbside pickup where you can pull up. They'll put it in your mom for you, so that could be an accommodation, even have a legitimate and instability in plenty of these videos. We've seen where some somebody's yelling at a manager. They offer them everything always offer to go. Do the shopping for them and bring them their their grocery. Yeah, yeah, probably for.

"Sherry meeting with Moses Jewish of the dewitt law firm in just a moment. Just realized after seeing somebody of the texting service I, believe who sent this. You got that, Cla. Why there was such a long line at the post office, there was a personal tax, my own personal texting search. This is a different one. Let's give out that number. Two people could send it. The reason for all the people at the post office is because today's the final day for taxes, even though it's July fifteenth, because of all the pandemic stuff, taxes got kicked down the road all the way until now and people are going. Oh, dammit I totally forgot the file my taxes. Today are you doing today. Can you still file for an extension, or is this like at the end of the extension period or something? I can file for an extension, but even if you have an extension, you still get. Penalties Yeah you so get. You have to pay more to a fine you either get less. If you get a refund or you pay more. I don't like that so just get it done today. It's easy right even though you got your stuff from from playing in the bars. Yeah that and how many loopholes would you like to? Yeah, I mean. There's lots of options for those deductions. Sometimes you get a little risky with them. You're like I. Don't technically have a child that lives in my house. Well. Let's see if we can get away with this. Very curious. How next year is going to go with people writing off working from? Home Oh, yeah, I look I I do that anyways. Obviously, because a home, office is just for the record. IRS officials listening because I do have offices in Orlando, I do not attempt to write off my son who does not live under this roof for most of the time also old enough to do. All that I do not do that, but you can write off the square footage that you use in your house. And offices and all that stuff counselor that still need to. I don't know why I haven't done this yet. Change My car insurance to my work location being here Oh. Yeah, yeah I. Wouldn't I don't know if that makes it better or worse or whatever. Yeah only get a change of back. We'd probably get like some kind of brief discount or something. Maybe it's yeah. Talk to somebody knows what they're doing today. Or what are you saying that we don't? We're fumbling around here. No, I just don't want to give out I'm writing I'm writing down all the things you're saying and then I'm Mike I I need to double check from someone. Who does this for a living make sure that. It's legit turbo taxes so good. That's the one I use I paying me right now and then have you used the one where the helps you out? They make sure you're all buttoned up and ready to go. Pay Me Turbo tax. Let's do jury duty court is now in sessions your phone down and pay attention before we call the bailiff over with your ass jury duty with the News Junkie jury duty brought to you by Moses duets of the dewitt law firm ammos. How are Ya? Es. There's so much going on one of the things that I wanted to bring up to you and talk to you about was this story and this is happening all over the state of Florida, but here in Orlando six downtown, Orlando Bars have now filed this lawsuit against Governor to Santa's following the governor's order. Well kind of governors order right. It was more of just like a he. We don't WanNA. Have the governor say this? Let's have goes. Because previously. It was the governor's executive order. This shut them down before so instead. They had the bureau of professional liquor, license. Liquor License Bureau, and did they said these bars that are now suing the state of Florida and the Governor Irish Shannon's pub chillers, cahoots and latitudes ember clandestine north. Don't even know clandestine whatever that is what being Niki in secret. But it so secretive that I don't know where the bar is and I go to the bar sometimes. North Ero where Arrow is the patio and the Hanson building. Maybe that's Hanson. Shoe. Repair filed the complaint in Orange County and the bars Moses are asking the court to declare the closing order issued last month unconstitutional. They're going to say likely that they are being unfairly targeted and that their particular business type as been shut down when we let people go into other places where you could argue that transmission is just as likely of, but just because they're a bar just because they sell liquor to get shut down any chance that this is successful or even sees a courtroom anytime soon. What do you think is going to happen with this? So, there's two types these lawsuits. There's one in county that just ask for an junction. Where as they're asking the court to go in issuing orders, the governor can't shut them down. The business professional regulation can't shut them down. There's a second time. There's some out of Volusia county parts of state where they're asking for that plus damages. Frankly I. Think both are pretty unlikely to succeed. Because you know they're arguing. It's unconstitutional for the governor to do what he's doing. the problem with that being that the state of Florida when it comes to public safety has a quintessential responsibility to ensure does what net what's necessary to protect? You're gonNA find it very unlikely that the courts are going to tell the state of Florida. What to do or the governor? What to do with is when it comes to public sake with this be similar to. The argument that they would make like if as long as the government was acting in good faith based on expert advice. These experts were telling them that the bars were transmission points for covid nineteen, and they thought that put other residents at risk, and so therefore they target specifically bars. You'd have to prove I guess that they weren't operating in good faith. Right I mean as long as there's any Scintilla of evidence of this tide public safety I don't see getting overturned. What about what about But what about the argument a Chinchilla evidence? Thousand, what? I'd watch that. What about the argument and I know? People are thinking this right now and I think it's a fair point. Honestly, it doesn't get enough attention. What about the argument where people go? Okay so this bar can't open and this this. Family Business or the sole proprietorship is not a to open their doors and serve customers, but they're allowed to have some protest, a big gathering with five thousand people and nobody bats and I where transmission rates are still going to be significant, no matter which one you're looking at does, does that comparison matter at all? When they're trying to make their case, they're like you are essentially maybe not sponsoring, but allowing large gatherings of people yet I can't have people in in my bar. while. There's two different issues there yet to remember that the right to congregate freedom of speech is protected. The Constitution Constitution the right to run your bars Nah several. Arguing this is unconstitutional. There's nothing in the constitution that specifically says that you have the right to run a bar or even run a business, but in fact it would, it would be a pretty much well I'm not going to slam dunk. Put an easier case if you were. Were fighting for the protests like this because there is a constitutional right there, right absolute, there is a constitutional right as we've discussed before. They're still time place and manner restrictions on that, but there is natural constitutional right. I mean bars are regulated industry. They're just like strip clubs regulated industry, and the government historically has put regulations that industry now like you can't mission. You can't.

A lot of stress a lot of stuff boiling underneath the surface people are pissed off about all sorts of different things and sometimes take a break in just look at one of the brighter spots in life, and even though it came from a strange spot I think this video of this four year old in Arizona who was ranting. She's like a young Sean Ranting about what's pissing her off and she was pissed about the new shutdown orders in corona virus restrictions Arizona, and she's going on and on her energy is everybody's energy. When I was watching it I was like this is adorable. I feel your sister. Going she's like and another thing I thought this was fantastic and whoever's holding? Griff professor public enemy was the what do they call him? The Minister of information error, the group, public enemy and an homophobic. Racist Racist himself as said some God awful things over the years he got kicked out of public enemy, a couple of times famously kind of brought back in to the group, and now he's doing these speeches and going on podcasts with people like Nick Cannon, and you know what I was GonNa. Say what I started. The show I was going to say. It's the news junkie for a Wednesday. After all of that stuff. I was going to say flat-out this. This is not a situation where nick candidate should be canceled. This is a situation where you should let nick cannon deal with this. It used to be the you through things out there. Would people disagreed with him? They told you why you're wrong or they put you in your place. That gave you a chance to establish right and wrong in any of these situations. What Nick Cannon said in this podcast was racist. Just flat out, racist was antisemitic. Just flat out was stupid beyond all of that stuff, and in the wake of this he had. Had An opportunity to apologize and he didn't. He didn't apologize in the slightest in fact after getting dropped by Viacom CBS this morning, he's still perpetuating this on social media with this poisonous following of people that are like name. What he said that was wrong name. What he said was wrong. Everything he said was wrong, and if you would have just said out damn, maybe I got this one wrong. Maybe I need to think about this little bit more. Let's have a conversation. Let's open this up, but he's hitting the gas. He Sang. You know I'm not going to back off of this in the slight e Watson apology actually demanding an apology. TVs of vitamins and he's also lost his job with the mess singer. Create while no I think you did and now he's demanding that he gets older righty to while now, and he's not going to get that but this whole thing is such a mess that can be made up for if you just admit when you screw things up, but if you want to double down on Farrakhan, you want to double down on racism you want. Want to double down on anti-semitism. Then find dude like I wanted to defend him today. Like let him say his peace. Let him get corrected. We have a chance to apologize. We don't need this circular. Cancel culture, stuff, going round and round and round, but if you're just going to be unapologetic about it, what do you do mean? What do you do Viacom Gum CBS fires you because they said quote, you failed to acknowledge her. Apologize for perpetuating anti-semitism, so it was basically because he didn't even apologize afterwards. And as I said, he's still fighting this on social media this morning and re tweeting, everybody says Nick candidate. Did nothing wrong then for I guess? Pun intended has been a loose cannon for quite some time. He was fired from some other show a couple years ago. he's had the issues with Eminem for many years and released a distract made absolute. No sense started the hat He's quite a long time ago, so it is what it is auto immune disease to. I haven't heard that, but he's. He's throw wild ride since all the Mariah Carey. Why is he famous I? From all that then he was a musician. He's got a bunch albums and stuff. And then he got into the hosting world and he just he's one of these people who wind himself with Louis Farrakhan with Afro Centrism with. Adam anti-semitism said man. You can't just say that you can't just say that and not expect any repercussions especially, if you don't want to apologize so even though I'm absolute positively against all this cancel culture stuff when the guy is so unapologetic about doing that well I. "I walked down the aisle to love you like a love Song a techno club record totally maper high-heeled couch this and live live in Miami or an opinionated beast I'm divorced now I think I got married to try doubting offers size didn't fit my ex latched onto the idea that adulting was a thing enough is what if anything does departure sound kind of childish because it sounded like you like I don't know maybe they had a flu but it's almost mocking wanted to get married how I don't think he's saying people she's talking about for herself she never said Y'all you know other women what I was gonna say is it just sounds like it's kind of a petty shot at him to you know what I'm saying because they don't seem like what he was like whatever he was expecting doesn't sound like it's the most fucked up thing to be like I thought we were living in the same city you know what I mean like that's kind of a weird they'll be like y'all are married and he really liked me WanNa light live close to each other what the fuck models I should've never got married you know might but you don't want to count on being childish putting this out there as 'cause we didn't or maybe that's the case you still is filling childish as you say like I'm a whole childish type of person I'm never gonNA grow up but this is the nation we didn't have to know yeah so that's very weird I don't like I said I don't back any woman saying these things aren't for me these contracts and society I don't WanNa have kids I don't want her to get married I don't even if you don't WanNa live in the same city which a man I mean sound some y'all should have discussed I instead of being a relationship America set sail she'd rather go to whole foods and travel one of my girlfriend takes me you say I'll still hoping for magic for you she was talking about love I wanted to say it is okay for women not to be thinking about marriage for the same amount of time as any given man I want a to ask is it enough for me to travel and meeting new people along lavish walks through a whole foods am I not grown up they will not constantly wondering about of and home for two to avoid experiencing normal yes I'm judging thoughts when my homegirl I said I'm not pressed to recreate my whole existence to fit into someone else's and N. B. Stuck in one place forever yeah no not right now it is our opinion on that piece I agree is I was GonNa Prizes somebody so I don't know if feels like the way she put in this hour I can see how she is the same person that win wanted to Delta Trump's inauguration you know what I'm saying in in the way of like I don't do what people tell me I don't have say traditional values y'all people bob laugh but then you know she ultimately pay a huge penalty terrific thank you can do whatever you want to do but you are not for your consequence yeah no I did see was such a free spirit maybe I'll be talking to a couple of avid my love language is touching I love to cut I love is nice I'm open minded to try new things but it's quite likely too late that I'll ever grow up I skipped over that part of my twenties and I'm not sure you ever get that back I'm human installed that were from path this is my human experience patient enough to watch my life oh trust guide to forgive revealed and restored move for I fall I get embarrassed I stay moms eat good it take my vitamins to get back out there on the market you came by me and my singled out complete loving me is complicated mostly because I'm content I don't love people because they have a nice house and diamonds kids love people 'cause they smile laugh at their jokes spending time on the couch and at the movies a kid that way I don't need anything but the simple beautiful present human yeah how I mean I ain't really knocking that's our belief system it's just I I think that one part kind of like she was still shitting her ex like I kind of thing it's like self awareness 'cause like what you described as almost like ridiculous the idea of living in the same city same house same city it does power ridiculous to someone if you marry them like I can see why her husband but like so then what the fuck is I didn't know he was going to be like seeing each other and shit I thought it was whatever good luck Duchess Meghan markle opens up about the press harassment for the first time and she says that she's really she's not early okay no shit why you say that I mean because we're no things where she still black and black over there still black so they get harassed an and she just like we do here United States and you know ever what report report report report report it every time they move around you know they had to put out a thing I think we covered it and why people knew it was a don't don't don't randomly come up to us and the dog and shit you know and people got offended but I understand they like oh you just using this conversation to come up and say to her no let us just be and also don't forget her family right fuck it was acting crazy up whiteside our family is always giving her shit in of course I'm sure it changes a lot in life win now you went from being famous as an actress being famous royalty which is completely like they wanna see every outfit every move you make every word you say your face your kid like you're talking about going over there living in another country having a child for the first time I believe in I'm not sure where her age is but possibly having a child a little bit later in life so you have higher risk of pregnancy and stuff we know about maternal death rates and and expectations with black mothers being a lot like a lot more difficult to to birth a child is Guangming in the world so yeah I can see how these things may have been a lot of pressure on her and she has to play this all out in front of all of us yeah because I forgot it was some coach she had it was a gorgeous coke because periodical you know when you're online I think the cold calls Mike like four thousand dollars and the people's like she would this coat three times already and he was like the fuck is you give me a four thousand dollar call one that bitch every Dan data they don't want to know more yeah and as such it's just such like ownership and then at the same time anger towards her from over there this is like a lot of people really tested in the fact that this black woman is over there is is a large part of why I personally we talked about it on the show was like I'm not gonNA sit on this woman and I'm not going to sit on the people who find joy and celebrating that she is A B B read and be you know people want to you know like when my internationalism says day you know she is joining into white supremacy this family and stuff I'm my I feel you breath but to be frank a lot of y'all are joining into white supremacy on some level L. whatever you come from a family well why people anywhere you may first name whether you're dating somebody like you still deal with like white supremacy isn't just a fucking first families and Shit it's not just the rich and elite either like is a is a thing that we all are involved in on some level sadly and with with Megan I said well what's going to happen oh we gotta support blackness and Black Women Blah Blah Blah either gonna be silent about it because you don't WanNa look hypocritical because you wrote her off for getting married and you fought with other people that celebrated it right or you're going to speak up and realize oh yeah she's still a fucking black woman so me having all that for her couple years ago is kind of fucking stupid because are gonna come back to the fact that she's still a black woman that spelling low with this you so if we're GONNA turn every decision into you don't get the love that man because whatever I'm not I'm not here for that Shit I don't talk about interracial relationships on the show like that because on an individual level there's nothing to fucking say I don't know why people get married who they get married to everyone loves fucking love the end on a on a macro level on a big level Sir you can have some discussions but her individually following love Disney I don't know anything about this she might really just loved his do and now she's going through all this shit as part of it and we knew that this killed they didn't have the child there they had the child like somewhere in Africa and people got mad about that that's because they want to fucking privacy yeah so this is our any woman when they're especially when they're pregnant.
