"For electric cars and heating systems The amount Lewisville estimates that will add to the average cost to rebuild a home at least $20,000 This is politics on the backs of people who have lost everything I just can't understand that Luke called on other fire victims to ask for a break from the new codes And many testified at a recent city council meeting Normally I would be a strong advocate for the climate However being on the other side of actually being a fire victim by perspectives have changed dramatically I'm asking you for common decency to your fellow citizens to relieve us from the net zero 2021 building codes And put people ahead of your political expectations not all fire victims want to suspend the codes Some see it as a unique chance to build a model low emissions community In the middle of the debate is Louisville mayor Ashley stoltzman She's a climate hawk who pushed for the codes in the first place and she says the fire which ignited amid a record drought in a warm winter proves climate change is an immediate public health threat If there were community members coming in and saying you know if we could use lead pipes again we sure could save a lot of money I also wouldn't think we should put lead pipes in houses I would figure out a way to make sure people had safe clean drinking water That said doesn't think fire victims should carry the financial burden We can put together a plan that covers the cost of doing these upgrades that that seems like a very positive outcome There's no estimate of how much the new codes could add to Louisville's total recovery Insurance policies will cover the gap in some cases But Colorado's governor and its largest power company say they're ready to help And I'm confident we'll come up with something that will help people rebuild But sulu the resident who lost her home she's not convinced It's sort of like you know what is it Tom Cruise movie you know If the money's there show me the money because I'm not seeing it And if the code stay in place she worries that will mean more debt for fire victims and longer stays in someone else's basement For.

"In its entirety and And just said over and over again. I re remembering how great this was. And how wonderful this was and how clever it was and how you know it. It is truly. There are some moments in there that just make me smile During the lockdown. I saw all of wesseling again. I i went through all seven seasons and and watch that again and Kind of enjoyed Josh molina and her. she's you know wesseling weekly to kind of kazan. Felt like what you you. And i are other members group purdue right if if if we weren't josh molina that could actually talk about the inside but just the idea of two people who loved the show discussing it and so i- revisited that so it was really nice to go back there again So you're in california correct. No actually of moved back to texas. Oh that's right you are back in texas yes. I moved back in two thousand eighteen. So i'm in The dallas area are actually. I don't think a far from you. don't you are carrollton. I'm in lewisville so We will now need to meet Yes we do. We do need to be for real so that's good very nice So can you remember when you first discovered aaron's work and you know. I usually ask the question. When can you know. Can you describe finding bruce's music bruce springsteen music and if you can say why it spoke to you try to articulate it so i'm going to twist this. You discovered aaron sorkin and can you explain. Maybe what about his pros and his writing spoke to you. So i discovered him with a few good men. The ziff nome. I was in the marines at the time that came out and it was playing on our Our base the theater we had on the base in quantico. So like we're right close to where they would have been talking about it and It it spoke to all of us. I saw it. And i came back to the barracks telling my friends. You have to see that. It's it's so amazing and at that time. Of course. I didn't anything about him. But then over the years i came to know who he was and then when sports i started and i got into that and then there were more articles about him and i was like oh my god he did a few good men and so i was already on board I think it was because of the. I mean the dialogue for sure the buildup of his understanding of characters and drama That when it's that good you're just in it just sucked into it. You're not going. Oh he did that. Well he did that well It like just wanna be in this and so what. I saw that so many times. And i felt like there was a respect for the marines in that the Spoke to us on the base as well And so. When i started his group he thought he was being punked by josh malina so he emailed me and it was like if i find out this is a joke and it was just the most amazing thing to be connected to him and I worked at disney at the time that sports started and one. I fell in love with that. I would go down to the lot of the disney lot. Went ahead a chance and Just hang around the sound the sound stage because it was just to be near it you know. I think it's just because i've never had that reaction.

"And i thought it was really well done How they approached it because obviously it is a show about cops so we don't wanna like are all great. Let's romanticize yeah what's actually going down in like. Oh and they and they they address all about in there like how you know stuff later too. I feel like in previous seasons. Yeah yeah it's been. They've been brooklyn before gone through some of the injustices you'll hear about in the police force. I feel like every police show nowadays is trying to incorporate that type of aspect in their show. Yeah which is good to see lucifer's kinda lewisville lake chicago. Pd kind of chicago pd. I feel like a haven't really done it too much. But yeah the rookie. For sure has like law and order has stepped it up to from the previous season may definitely talked a lot about the mole. police brutality. And stuff like that. We're here yes. Definitely pop brooklyn nine nine and then i checked out this. That came out last year on a netflix original movie. With shirley's there on called the old guard based on a graphic novel and it's about like a team of people who are like thousands of years old and they're they're immortal but eventually their immortality like fades and they become more and It's it's it was really good. I think that's on my list. That i wanna see 'cause i liked charlie's there on i think she's a bad as i love her as an action star. I liked i. There's few action movies that stick out and i go okay. I wanna watch that. That was one. And i was glad that i did so. Speaking of action movies we watched the jungle cruise on disney. Plus that so. I will say good or unnecessary. I mean most disney properties. So here's what i'll say. I love the rock and we'll watch pretty much anything he's in it doesn't mean it's always good but i'll watch it. I'm only blunt fantastic. Their chemistry was great agree. The supporting cast was great. Jesse plans as the villain. I love him and he did a great job. And jack whitehall as the brother also kinda stole the show so really like a solid cast all around. It's it's a cheesy kind of adventure. So it's it's like pirates of the caribbean meets indiana jones. A little bit kind of what you have come to expect from disney cheesy adventure tories. But i love how they had the like. Dad jokes or the stupid puns as it happens on the jungle cruise ride. You thought that they made a ride. Based off of the movie is the other way around the jungle cruise. Yeah so the jungle cruise tailgate vote in like look at animatronic animals in the water. A boat captain who does like cheesy as jokes and hosting the whole sequence where the rock is putting on this fake safari for people. It's a nod to the ride because that's what it is and so i loved. They did that. It feels real emotional about like disney and disneyland. Because i love it so much. But yeah i i really liked it. I want to go back and watch it again. I do think it probably would have been more enjoyable if theater. I feel like it's a movie met for the theater and having to watch it fractured on disney. Plus with like your kids screaming in the background isn't the ideal situation. But i really really liked it. I hope they make another one. Because i isn't jumanji like if you like jumanji with iraq then you're gonna like jungle cruise. That's what i think is not just make a lot of jungle movies. They saw him on his instagram. A little bit almost not that this jungle movie was like an addition to jumanji man. Making the same thing will pay money. There's a really good plot twist in jungle cruise. Though that like i straight up to nazi coming fun i liked it. I definitely into this kind of cheesy action. Comedy it's good for the family and the kids. The kids weren't watching little scary for my son. But but yeah my kids wash with me. It was good now. Show that my kids are not watching with me and no kids should be watching is reservation dogs. I checked out on hulu. And i mean that's like the departed level. Most swearing so every other word is the f one so got to be mindful of that. But i'll say this about reservation dogs i. I didn't know what to expect going into it. It's a sterling harjo and take away tv co created it. Now i'm intrigued. Yeah tyco's everywhere do ear. I love everywhere. You're taika. Bring down what had been a pretty glorious civilization. so it's it's not a happy story in that sense and but it shows you that these kind of vectors of imperialism in trade had been going on for very long time and that drugs have fueled it in many many ways. Well that's right. I when i get introductory tilk drugs policy to students at imperial college. Is this magnificent university. One of the best universities in the world. What do you think funded it foundation and they also they might if they think tool they might say coal rallies and i say no drugs and then they kind of look in horror. Because it's been we've talked to white that of our history and in that case was it opium dealers. Well i mean basically. This empire was built on older lewisville selling opium to the chinese setting candidates to the indians. I mean we may indians high cannabis from us even have it grew wild. I mean while there yeah we extraordinary ruthless. And then of course you know. Bring tea and coffee. Well you know a lot of great. American fortunes is a footnote in the book of where i talk about these. These august american fortunes that that that have their name on our libraries and art institutions museums. They were opium dealers and that's been erased from history. I didn't know there was a lot of money. Made an opium and a lot of it was people in the west wanting to keep it out of their country and push it onto another country and we. We were all involved in that trade. But there's another twist in your book about caffeine in and drug wars. Which of course. There's your civil war. would it be fantasy. The war was won by the north because they stuck. They had all the coffee and couldn't get it. Well it's probably too simple but that's true that were we set up a blockade so the south could not get all sorts of goods one of which was caffeine and we understood that and on the north We had the northern in the union army had provision. I think thirty six pounds of coffee per soldier They understood the power of caffeine to keep soldiers happy and an effective and in fact there were generals who would wait until their armies were maximally caffeinated before attacking and they would tell them to fill their thermoses. The coffee not water all right and in the south they were kind of you know He just didn't have that edge but the larger story is that the north in every sense was a caffeinated civilization. We wanted to buy and i looked at that house which was the biggest house in the neighborhood. The prettiest in the neighborhood. But i just had this feeling that it was going to be trouble and i said we'll leave that out. We'll leave that out and the seller came back and said no. It's back to all or nothing if you don't take that house you can't have the deal and right it was like Was bound and determined that we were going to own that house. That's exactly what it sounds like it. and so we did. Yeah and like. I said for two years. We tried to rent it. I mean we. I can rent it tomorrow. It's beautiful i can rent it anytime one. But they won't stay more than two to six months I mean even even brought in housekeepers or maintenance caretakers less problem caretakers. They needed a place to stay. We had the house. Summoning La Segua
"Comes from a reddit. Post from five years ago by a user named Marciano. Eight six three nine okay. So is this supposedly true or is this a fictional story supposedly true okay? So they say When I was a kid living Masaya Nicaragua. The story of Saleh was a folk tale. That went around my school around the neighborhood. The story basically goes that Loselle was half Spanish. Indigenous was like what are these words who had an affair with the Spanish man? During the time of conquest to cover up the affair he revealed her witchcraft activities to the inquisition. That was hunting which is at the time. Our God's going down the criminal. She escaped into the forest and she still walks the roads at night. Luring men to her and then ripping them apart. Oh God out. Have you ever heard of this because this is kind of an from Nicholas are south South Bill above below Mexico? Such A. You're such an American. I recently reconnected. With an old neighbor friend of Mine Louis Philippine and we started talking about the legends. We heard growing up. He mentioned Lhasa and a summoning ritual that some of the kids at his high school used to do. After I had moved away from Nicaragua according to Lewisville Ebay his elder sister had passed the story onto him Some of her friends had done the same thing when she was a teenager. And the story of Lhasa was popular at her high school. The summoning ritual draws an all on old magic traditions but was simple enough. That kids started using it to scare each other. I don't know how many people actually perform the ritual. Since a lot of Nick Nicaraguan kids will respect and leave alone magic but there are always people who want to scare and if need if you need a special magic assist. This is a way to get it. Our boy here are the instructions. He gave me copy and pasted from his email cleaned up a little bit and translated into English the way. Oh that's what he said. Not You ever saw that. That was your personal wait. You translated no not okay. This is a spot on the. His older sister told me to do to summon Lhasa into the House. It makes her come from wherever she is even issues very far away. You need a big bowl of water. At least four palm fronds some black or Brown Dark Brown hairs a candle and a handful of mustard seed container. That you cannot see or into so. That'd be dark hairs. I saw a blind like pull them from something. Could you do died hairs count? I don't think they'll have to be natural of okay. Well get it from somebody else. You could pull out there Wooden boxes the lids are cloths. Cloth bags are best but I think anything can work as long as you cannot see through it even even an envelope. It should be something you can open easily. You'll need four big squares of black cloth to as an offering you'll need a small beautiful object like necklace a seashell some laser. Johnstone picture of cody. But you will not be getting it back. Oh it needs to be nighttime. When you do the ritual I you make a box or circle on the floor with a palm fronds. They do not need to touch by need enough to have at least one on each side of you and in front and behind you. This tells Loselle out that you are in her forest. You should make sure all the windows and doors of the room. You are in our open because La la needs to wait to get inside the air out. Her forest put the bowl full of water in the enclosure of Palm. Fronds right in front of you so you have enough room to sit but the candle and the offering in the enclosure. It's a good idea to have a friend with you. But they have to be outside the enclosure. Now turn off all the lights. Light The candle and go into the enclosure. Now you can't leave until the ritual is over place the box full of mustard seeds beside your right hand and the hair beside you left hand on either side of the ball this random assortment of crap. You need to take three. Blocks grows a fabric and line them up in front of the ball inside the enclosure. Blow out the candle. When you're ready to begin. Began the ritual. This symbolizes nightfall. You have to be totally silent from now until US arrives. Look down into the water and the ball. You should start to see not the ceiling of the room or in but the jungle. Oh Shit in the reflection. Yeah Oh that's crazy. Yeah then you'll see a woman at a distance reflection fuck that God's you see getting closer and closer and closer but you can't stop the ritual. Oh Shit if she has dressed address of Guatemala trees leaves. I've seen that's a tree down. South held together with strips of black fabric and her hair is long black in covering her face. This is less ella. So you could. It could be someone else like her mom. I mean there is like dividing ritual that you could your badge walking into view the reflection. She's like Oh sorry when she gets close to the bowl of water. You'll see that. She was wearing a mask of leaves wrapped around her mouth and John as Miranda told me that this is to cover up her jealous smashed in and teeth were knocked out by Spanish authorities who are beating her after she ran from them when they were arresting her for witchcraft. Oh my God summoning this Yup. Okay after Lhasa nears she will start to come out of the bowl. Sounds so you'll see a hand like come like climbing out of a bull how. How big is his bowl? Because it's a little tiny like a shot glass his hand coming out of it. Allow her to do it but did not let her take off her mask. Oh Shit if she starts take off her mask. You have to stop the ritual. If she takes it off she can speak and it will drive men insane. She will try to make eye contact but do not look into her eyes and do not tell her your name. Wow when her shoulders are out of the bowl make the simple requests. Get us of Hitler's Mojica's which means I want three magic objects. Okay so this is okay I was like why would you summon this? But this is why okay so you get almost. Yeah Yeah then when our shoulders are out of the bowl? Yeah it's so creepy Then dropped the offering in the ball if she begins to sink back down in the bowl you did the ritual right if she starts to rise out of the ball farther angry and you have to stop the ritual immediate. Do not try to ask her for anything. Other than what? The ritual allowed clean what she has disappeared into the bowl. You have to pour the mustard seed into the water. This is also how you stop the richland point if you need to. The legend says that mustard seeds are spilled near her. She has to stop to count them. Pouring the mustard seed into the portal will distract her until you have the to dispose of the water issues. Like she's like Rain Rain woman. At this point you can leave the enclosure and make sure to take the ball with you you can flush the water down the toilet or sprinkle it in your yard. Make sure not to leave. Any puddles were Lhasa. While might be able to come through again. Damn if you flush the water down the toilet make sure to get all the mustard seeds out of the ball or she might come back to count the seeds. She missed out of the toilet. Yeah Oh God that'd be able then take the ball outside and smash and make sure it doesn't go back in the house thrown away or leave it outside. Now go back into the ritual room but did not look. Under the CL- cloths are going to the enclosure. Sleep in the room where you perform the ritual but makes you to close the windows and doors. Anyone who was in the room with you during the ritual must also sleep there. Do not get up even to go to the bathroom until after sunrise. When you wake up go to the enclosure you should find that Matt that the magic objects have been left under the three black CL- clots. Wow you can use these to perform curses and other
