"Cleveland was goingto place Pestano on waivers. And the Angels were going to claim him. But rather than paying The waiver price, Cleveland said. Getting the money, they said, can we get a low level prospect and they picked Levinger and really shown much at that point, but Put it together. 12 pitch another slider. Nolan's swings himself down to a knee and fouls it away a defensive swings for Nolan here just to stay alive. A couple years later, Levinger broke in Man. He's been Really good. 2016 93 innings in a 3.0 earned run average. The has been right around three or a little bit lower. In his first four years in the bigs. A ball into strikes in Poland, two outs bases empty in the 3rd 10 3 Padres Levinger back to the plate slider loan away or he has been Determined to try and get Nolan to chase. That pitch is going after it. But he's been ableto Foul, three of them off. Nolan ready from the right side. Levinger to the plate and again pitched down in a way this one's popped up into short right field. The right fielder Myers calls everyone off and makes the catch and the Rockies go in order in the third middle of the third. It's the Padres 10 in the Rockies three on the Rockies radio network. "On the sports leader. Welcome back. Tio talking baseball. Marty Larry is out. Bill Lasky is in. We got a scratch in the lineup recently and Pablo Sandoval's now playing third base. Longoria got scratched. The lineup has changed now. Just Rimsky Dickerson, Solano belt floors. Crawford now moves to the six spot and Sandoval in the seventh spot. Bart and Du Bon so just Ah, quick switch there. No major injury. They described him so a popular gets His first started third base in the 2020 season. Alright, moving forward. We're talking San Diego Padres and who do I talk to you? I need to talk about crime. Padres is Craig Elston. He is the host of Make the Padres. Great again. Podcast. Plus, you can read on Twitter that +619 sports. Welcome in. Craig, How are you doing on a labor day? Doing great doing great. Dad. Ah, little bit less than 109 that it was out here yesterday. So feeling like we're in San Diego? Yeah. Yeah, I tell you what. It's warm up here in Northern California. Of course, the Padres is came in here and took two out of three from the Oakland A's. Now the Rockies are in San Diego. For three, and then the Giants commit for a four game Siri's next weekend. I know we always talk about the offensive side, but I want to talk about to pitch inside, and that starts with the starting rotation. Of course, the trade for Mike Levinger comes in, and Chris Patty goes the number to Garrett Richards Act. Davies. And Larry Denilson. Am I saying it right, Dennison? Nelson. You didn't Nelson, Okay, and and he's really a rookie's 21 years old. Let's talk about this starting rotation. If you had a three game series, who do you think would be bounced out of that? Well, it's a question that's absolutely on the minds of Padre fandom these days, which is certainly ah, welcome change from many of the years passed, no one was thinking about a play off her attention. But I tell you what. This is not only an engaging but a somewhat controversial topic in and around the world of the Padres because the man who was the opening day starter Chris Matic is indisputably pitching the worst off the group. And it is, I think, I mean, certainly based on merit, and I think what will happen in real life will match. Marat is that Tadic is right now the odd man out to pitch in, for example, that wildcard Siri's at best of three series. I think the number one would be to Nelson limit without question he's got A stuff. He's got the 99 fastball that touches 100. He's got the wipeout slider. That's one of the best pitches by metrics in all of baseball. And, you know, he's a guy who routinely is into the fourth of the fifth inning without having a lot of it. When he's right on. He's on a stuff he's been right far more often than not. I think the guy who we need to talk about more than we do is act Davies because In today's world of You know how I vill? Oh, being the absolute answer. If you're an old school baseball fan, you kind of have to be a Zach Davies fan because here's a guy whose fastball regularly sits around 88 miles an hour, but he locates. Not to a Matic level, but kind of Maddox light and his changeup dances out of the zone, and he gets more swings and misses on pitches out of the zone than almost any other pitcher. In baseball. He's a right handed version of Dallas cycle is a king of soft contact and babies would be either the number two or with clever Inger number three pick right now for that Padres play off rotation and I tell you what. Garrett Richards stepped up with seven innings, three run ball. Oh, and look very good. Didn't walk anyone on a hot day in Oakland yesterday. So Richards as well. I think that even potentially be a playoff for and paddock with that fastball, changeup combination yellow would hope to get a little bit of his fastball back. My shelving is covering curveball and just going all out in the lead. You know you're absolutely right about Zach Davies. Craig. I love watching him pitch. He remembers her. You know, a little bit of Hendrix fromthe cubs. You through Maddox in there, a guy the locates, keeps the ball down. Changes. Speed changes armor angle once in a while, but picked him up from the Brewers. And and I thought he fitted right there, six and two in the spot in the starting rotation. Again. Chris Paddock just kind of confused me last year at a really good year. This year. It's just been topsy turvy. He can't get inconsistent Start where it comes back to back on, and I would I would say that's the same thing. I think Levinger is really fit in a great hole. For the Padres, and and you got him for a couple of years. I watched this start here in Oakland. I thought he threw the ball well, didn't get or was it in Oakland trying think where's ain't against the Angels? Yeah, threw the ball well, the Padres isn't getting runs for him. Hey, lost 2 to 0. But I thought he threw the ball well that day And so did the Padres. A lot of high fives There really accepted him extremely well. And what do you think about him? What do you think of his first outing? Well, he gave up a lot of lead off it, and I thought he had the Antoninus above and beyond his perpetual motion delivery, which he talks about it, you watch him and it's funny. He's kind of like the old Tim truffle shuffle going on back there the way he's wiggling around, but He said after the game. You know it's physics yell. If you're in motion, you're gonna be able to generate more power. I don't ever want to be standing still, you know, I want to be constantly in motion, so You get that part. I did think maybe they were a little bit of nerves. I didn't think he had a a plus stuff for that first start with his new team, and it's such a lot of times he had given up a leadoff hit a leadoff double. Oh, and with all that said, and only two K's. Ah allowed just two runs in six innings. I thought that was a very encouraging start. And I think he fits, you know, hand in glove. With what the Padres wanted high energy. He's got a lot of excitement. He's going to fit very well in with a club that's very celebratory. And you know, very enthusiastic in their display out on the field. He just really fits into all of that. And as you mentioned Two years of team control Beyond this, you know, which is a lot of time for Mackenzie, Gore and Luis Patino to grow into the roles that they're expected to grow into a snot, just big league pitchers, but no commanding starters. In a rotation. There's high hopes set on those two kids, so I think he's the perfect fit in. And quite frankly, I thought the Padres gave up more to get often Ola from Seattle. Then they gave up to get clever, Inger. From Cleveland. You know, maybe Gabriel turns into a really good shortstop down the road. He's a young kid. But in terms of the big leaguers given up, those were guys on the fringe in the bottom of the Padres roster, and they got a lot better as a result of that deal. We're talking baseball with Craig Elston. He is the host of Make the Padres great again. Podcast knows everything about the San Diego Padres, and it's great having you on the Labor day. We appreciate your time. Let's go to the bullpen. There's a lot of little Chantix here with what he's using a different times. And one of the things so you got back is drew Pomeranz from the left hand side. Of course, Kirby Yates is out for the year. And what is the Padres? Oh, they go get Trover Trevor Rosenthal, who brought it about 100 Miles an hour the other day. Tell me a little bit about the bullpen and and what parts?.

"It done. They get they get Mike Levinger from the Indians today and a guy like by the 10 player Deal, guys, They're switching back and forth Dave. They've had five trades with five teams involving 22 players. Over the weekend. Do you have hairy legs like Joe Biden? Let me check Tom Wittman. Text it means says he does, Tom. We don't Harry legs. He likes to bleach blonde in the sun like hair. Just like Join me outside the township office is over there. In fact, most men I know break 30 years later, about hairy legs that turned blonde in the sun and talking to 700 as they try to get the Roaches off their legs from stroking him. Bengals Willie. Of course, they had the big scrimmage last night at PBS. The players have the day off today. They resume action tomorrow. Thank you. Speaking of basketball, Doesn't the defense beat the Bangles? Yes, they did 22 to 13 out as the defense. Speak the Bangles when they they were they were using If you if you stop him, you get like three points. If you do this, you get two points. If you do that, you get one. Say that again. I don't don't ask me. Uh, according to your good friend Sean Hannity. Ratings for the N BA postseason playoffs are down compared to 2020 1923%. "Kind of my baby now, so ah, it has been getting a lot of swings and misses and when it when it comes down to reading swings, and if you can get swings and misses you finally get somebody to lay off on that curveball in the dirt. And you could maybe throw a fastball on the outer edge and freezing And so I'm learning how to do that this year. Like I said, I'm taking a lot from Roberto Perez, Danny Leone. And some incredible catches we've had in the past and I'm just trying to continue to learn each and every day and and that's what's working out for me right now. You know, the thing is even more impressive to me, then the successful having at this age is the fact you're taking this all in stride, So I know I'm not going to get you to bite on this per se. But you're being talked about is not only a Cy Young favorite You're getting a lot of run and attention is an M v p candidate. It's all really heady stuff. What's it all mean to you? And what's it like to here that, um it's great to hear it, but nothing. Nothing's for sure until it's all over. Like I said in the 60 game season, crazy things can happen. Not just with the team, but for individuals as well. I feel like I've finally become a picture that Um, you know, I've been working towards for a long time, and like I said, there's a long way to go. But I'm just continuing to try and develop each and every day, And if good things happen. Good things happen, but taking everything in stride, like you said, and enjoying it one day at a time. That's what's most important to me. I feel like As long as I do that good things will come if you knew that right? You had that plan. You worked out plan if kept working. Good things were going to happen. But the story really has become the stuff of legend. I mean, if I'd come to you when you were a walk on UCSB and then told you in a few years, you would be an All Star. An All Star MVP is was a Cy Young and VP candidate. I mean, what would you have? Said Shane, would you have said that sounds absolutely insane. Or would you have said, you know, maybe maybe I mean, I'd like to say that I would be that confident of that age, but I was definitely not that it's not something that I would have been so receptive and hearing. I would have called your bluff right away. But it's amazing to hear right now. I know that Uh, my development in college has meant a lot to me, and it's done tremendous things for me and then coming into the big leagues and on with the Indians development staff. I know I've made a lot of strides forward, so there's a lot of people Command into thank on the way, but, yeah, Like I said, I I don't. I don't think I would've believed you. Ah few years ago if you said all that Well, I appreciate talking about you so much, because I know you would probably rather not. So May I ask you quickly about the staff before you go in the last 14 months, Shane, the team has lost Trevor Bauer, Cory Clubber, Mike Levinger, thes air, serious arms and losing guys like that would pretty much crush most teams yet you're in first in the division. What's it say about the talent and the mental toughness of the guys in that clubhouse? You just keep battling no matter what. Huge, um we're We just got a great bunch of guys that that love put it online for each other each and every night, so things were really, really working out were meshing super well in the clubhouse. That's not to say, you know, discredit what those guys that you you after mentioned earlier have done for this. This organization, Kluver Bauer Club and so many other guys like I kind of mentioned earlier. I've learned so much from them over the just the past few years since I've been brought up, but The guys that we have waiting. I think it speaks volumes to the draft that we've put together in the past few years. The development guys like ants of Ali Adam Plutko. Exactly Sack Tristin can be all these right handed starters that you're starting to hear about around the league that are just kind of taking the lead by storm. It's not by surprise by anybody in the organisation. I feel like we also is coming. And what about Carlos Carrasco? Somebody else in that clubhouse. He was diagnosed with leukemia. Last year. He fought hard, and in July he won his first start since the diagnosis is two and three is gone. The area 375. What does he mean to you and to the entire team? Truly amazing is the best guy in that clubhouse. Hands down. I feel like it all. My teammates will tell you the same What he's gone through what you've done. Uh, second to none. It is truly incredible. He's A light in that clubhouse in some in some dark times, even his own dark times he'd come into the clubhouse and he's the first guy to smile first got agree, even threw out his own personal battles last year and It's truly incredible what you've done how he kind of turned his diagnosis into a positive for her kid to the Children's Hospital and all the charitable work and the community work that he's done and And turned his diagnosis into is incredible. And only a guy like Cook. You could do that. So on top of being a phenomenal pitcher and a clubhouse better and so like he said it he. He's a stand up guy. We're so proud of him. And, you know he's gonna take us a long way on the field to what an amazing guy busy inspiration my guest and all star and all Star game MVP Ale, Pitcher of month for August, 6 and oh, the pride of UCSB. Shane Bieber, Shane. So good to have you, man. I appreciate you so much. I appreciate you coming on the program and again. I hate to be the old man who, Fonz, But I really am proud of you, Shane. Great job. The entire cultural nation is proud of you. Man. I appreciate that rumor. I appreciate you have me, you know, Best of luck and everything. And yeah, Like I said, I appreciate having bad Shane. Thank you so much Shame. Baber. He's a G D star. He is a bleeping star. Milwaukee at Cleveland tonight. And if I sound like a proud dad Well, we're not related. But I am proud man. We are all proud. The gaucho nation is extremely proud of shame be. We're not just because Of his development and how well he's throwing. But this guy handles himself like such a pro that is a class act and a star. You see as B Gaucho Nation. Good job, Shayne. Appreciate it. You know, I appreciate you that he comes in makes time for it. And then he shows up like that. 1 806 368686 when my favorite hours in a long time, right sparkling open. "They really need, and that's immediate help in their outfield as a hitter. They are not a good offensive team. They need somebody who could play every day for them in the outfield. And add some production to that lineup because they can pitch with anyone, even without Mike Levinger. Kurkjian went on to also talk about the winners of the trade deadline. I'm in on the res, but let's not forget about the ace. The ayes have had a pretty good last few days. Tommy List Alikhan. He's a good hitter, and he's a stronger, bigger guy. Then he's been He can really add some punch to that lineup. They got Mike Minor today with that. Power that they have the bullpen. They have the infield defense of they have. There still is good as any team in the American League and they got a little better during the trade. So it's Tim Kurkjian on baseball tonight. As we go first, a third here on the baseball show, I would say that I did see a tweet yesterday. From someone that was talking about the Indians and clever Inger and how they wouldn't mind trading him to the White Sox because, yeah, they need that outfield help. And since both teams are going to be making the playoffs anyway, or there's more teams in the playoffs. It didn't really matter to them that as long as they got the prospects they wanted and the caliber of prospects they wanted or the immediate help that they wanted. They weren't focused on whether or not it was the white stuff as a competitor. That doesn't sit well with me. Why? Because they don't They don't think you're mean they are you like ended because they don't think you're really if you and I are competing in the same division, I don't want you to succeed. You have course. So, like I get that in this year's gonna be different, and we heard Jeff passing mention like It'll be interesting after this year. Is it 16 teams gets the playoffs always, I think, because if that's the case, then you're right and I'm wrong on this topic. Because in the end be a when the Bulls and the Pistons make a deal or the Bulls and the Bucks make a deal. It doesn't matter why, Because divisions don't matter cause of a A. It's all about the conference, right? Yeah. So in baseball if they're watering down the divisions Thus, it's on Ly aboutthe conference and getting into the playoffs because there's eight teams on each side. Like, Okay, I guess of the long term view is that the Indians don't care about sharing with the White Sox anymore, because really divisional play isn't that big of a deal. Okay, but you're still gonna have to face them on the schedule going, Tio. They're going to keep the extra playoff teams they have to. You're not going to take away revenue. Right. You're not going to take away money. Well, everybody knows you don't have the 1 62 regular season game so next missing revenue, But next year, they're going to cry Poor to because I don't You're not going to have full stadiums yet next year. So you're not going to take away revenue? The the owners make a majority of their money from the playoff team from the TV money in the playoffs. They're not going to get rid of it. There's no way you don't just say yeah, Money was cool. How about less? You're not going to do it. There's no way. How about Les, Let's go to our staff the night.

"We know a lot about this virus, but honestly, most like, really don't There are so many unknowns that are still out there. And then for him. It was a decision you wrestled with, and ultimately came to the conclusion that he doesn't feel safe, But but that's why I mean he could. It is ironic that he gets the service time and any ops out on DH people can call into question. I have no issue of people do call that into question any of well within your right to go out there and And do that, But it is the decision. It's selfish. If it's about your health this time stay. Here's the deal. You stay away from people and you wear a mask. You you're not going to catching the virus. No. But most Indians if they haven't after two idiots only handled himself Maggie those two idiots that then handle themselves properly. They went out and start partying on in the city. Right. I know what you were. When you were in the sack and 11 jerk. Levinger went out there and lied about it. So I mean, and I still hold my case. You know, I'd love to see the person that does the investigation with the Marlins were doing where 18 of 30 players that's the positive for covert 19 Let's 60% of the team. But I mean, you're making my point because someone could do something that Stroman is today. Stroman's following all the rules, someone else could do something boneheaded, and it could, potentially, potentially if he stays away from the Marlins. If he's not going out there, chatting with the Marlins, and he's staying six feet away. The virus isn't going on all the sun come up and tap you on the shoulder. No most I'm talking about on your own team. He just But you just said that he credit the Mets were doing everything right. He's talking about the bets in terms of Tammy in the guy that was out there Salsa dancing, he decided opt out, so I mean, he credit the Mets is an organization and the steam basically saying for doing everything right. He just didn't feel he didn't feel comfortable going out of Miami. Well, he said that was part of it. And he also said it was Miami was part of it. But he also said about the unknowns. I think that was a kind way of saying that at any time a team could be compromised. Like the Cleveland Indians were saying all the right things also clever Inger and police Act. They were saying all the right things mean while they were doing it, so He just everything is Goldinger's Levinger Live. Understood 29. I understand that Maggie Maggie, But if in the everything isn't as is, it always appears right. Everything is not as as it always appears. When a player all the sun ops out after he hits his service time. A guy that talked a big game, and then he decides that he could do whatever he wants to do. I really can mean Marcus Stroman is not to Graham Kershaw. He's not Max. Sure, sir. He's not great picture. Let's be honest. He runs his mouth. He is not a great picture He had just is not. So you know, he talked a big game when he came here to New York when he got acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays. That's another deal that implodes in the face of Brody bandwagon and He could do whatever you want to do. I'm not gonna go out there Equipment scream. I've got more of an issue with suspicious Stroman handled himself professionally addressed. The team talked to the organization was honest and forthright. That's fine. But if somebody wants to question you know the motives there about him coming out there and saying, Listen, the Miami Marlins that happened before we went on vacation. That habit that I have been awhile go with the Miami Marlins. And that is that is not that was another round. I understand, but that fire yesterday that is not yesterday. Were that transpired. So all of a sudden now, Marcus Stroman's got to come to Jesus moment. After all the Sunday it's a service. I'm fine. Up down because the family was putting pressure on him as well, because he's about to come back and is getting very real for him that you're coming. But you left the situation and it was one way right, which is baseball thought they had control of this. You're coming back to a different situation. We have two outbreaks on teams and knock on what? Hopefully we don't have more, but nobody knows. Nobody knows it. So what equation has changed? But how is it you live in an area? Where were the epicenter where we lost tens of thousands of lives to Cove in 19. How is there being an outbreak on the ST Louis Cardinals of the Miami Marlins? Now? The sun the Ah ha moment for Marcus Stroman. Because most of you we heard, so all of a sudden now we realize this is a problem no most because we heard so many players who are on the fence before about baseball's plan, right, you guys on the washing nationals who are on the fence right up until opening day, right? There are guys who are like, you know, almost like you wanted a little bit of a wait and see approach. And Marcus Stroman because he had the injured calf actually got to sort of sit back while he was rehabbing and see how everything went. He doesn't feel safe with how everything is gone. How do you like? How do you How could you kill a guy for that? He has every is every right is his fears have been confirmed on two teams. Maggie, why.

"Got caught in a rundown and yesterday the Indians lost to the Royals when the Royals did not have it. Hit Or in it back in attempting and still won the game. It's always fun to score baseball games. I never understood why I was get wise and I called the bat. Well, Anthony. That's that's the rules of baseball. Ah, sacrifice. That's not in a bad well, I don't understand is why he had the badness hands. Yes. Was he at the plate? Yes. You see a pitch? Yes. That's it a bat? No, no, it's not either way they won the game without either of those things. And Mike Levinger was irate. Do we still have the Michael Evans your clip Because Klinger was the starting pitching for the Indians yesterday gave up a pair of home runs in the first. They made it stick for a while. But then it didn't end up going his way. And afterwards he sounded off. This isn't fallible man. This is a perfect game. Your heart it is to get a runner on second base of the back end of any Bolton. How incredibly hard that is an Alison Just give someone a second base the garlic here and check on the mountain. I don't. I'm sure one of the teams space the situation. This happens of them. During the similar reactions. That certainly doesn't shock me. That was Mike Levinger of the Indians after the game. That's the first time probably In a professional game where this has ever happened. For them, And so they're all looking at it going. Are you kidding me? And it is going to be interesting to see the strategy. All you baseball fans and say, you love strategy. That's what the game's all about What? We're going to see strategy. Yesterday you saw Metheny, the manager of the Royals, He's simply by the guy over. And then they were able to sky one into the outfield and get home. That's one tactic. We'll see if that's how every team wants to deal with just having a runner on second base. Does that make sense just to play for that quick one run and get out of there. Get outta dodge. That's what the Royals did yesterday and it worked out Indians had their opportunity. They also Had a runner on second base. They, on the other hand, had Francisco Linda or up with two on with a chance to either tie or win the game out, right? He struck out. That was the game. I think you're clever. You're talking about that. But that opportunity was there for the Indians will by the way the Indians had the bases loaded in the ninth inning. And did not come through. So I understand this is gonna be bizarre that this is a very different state of affairs. Ah, for all of these guys, and the thing is, I don't even know if they have to get used to it. They just have to get used to it for a couple of months. Because as it stands right now, this could be the only time you ever see this in the future Major League baseball if everyone falls in love with it. Which I don't think they will. Then maybe you'll see it. Maybe you'll see collectively bargain into the future of Major League baseball. I doubt it. But I still think if you would inject truth serum And a lot of these managers..

I wanted to ask you about US China because that's our top story this morning. You can't really trade his things because obviously both sides are floating things and there's an underway. So let me just put it to you. Do you see an agreement coming or is this going to be kicked down the road a bit further? Yeah. Well, I thanks for having me. I am definitely in the kick. The can't. You know, the headlines certainly move markets today, there'd be nothing better than a cooling of trade tensions that I would keep the champagne corks for now. I have a very simple rule if lighthizer or US says anything you should pay attention. If it's anybody else Mnuchin Ross or a presidential tweet, you should ignore. It. Doesn't mean anything. That's very interesting comment. What about the news yesterday that vice-premier? Lou Harewood attendees talks in the US is that a positive sign. It's absolutely a positive sign. The two things that make me optimistic one that host coming. He lost face twice last year coming to Washington and coming back with nothing. It would be political suicide for him to do. So again. And so I think he's only coming if he thinks that this prospects of kind of moving the ball forward on a trade deal. The other thing that makes me optimistic is the US blink at the twenty. They didn't escalate tariffs and since then with the outlook for the US economy getting worse with markets volatile. I think it's highly likely that don't blink again and kick the can down the road just briefly to talk a little bit more directly about the bond market in China the bond market. There is he's huge. It's up around twelve trillion dollars worth and it may pass Japan soon. Is that significant? Oh, it's significant. I mean, the bond market is big. But a lot of that stuff doesn't trade it just sits on banks books. But I think the big story is the rest of the world is underweight China. China's underweight the rest of the world in those sorts are being rapidly covered. So we are seeing a lot of money going into China's bond market. It's highly likely that they're going to be included.

Story that she wrote it's very very philosophical. Let's rages four to twelve I by the way, her biggest advertiser. US made a question. So I, you know, it's super office type came in, you Yeah. know. She gave the keynote at the conscious capitalism summit not a month and a half ago when actually find this on YouTube if you search for Rachel her conscious capitalism, so cool, and she got a standing ovation in front of entered twenty five people when she was so happy like afterwards. She told me she's like dad that was so cool. And I did that myself like, you know, I wrote my speech. I did that myself. And it was just beaming. You know, so cool. That's awesome. Well, I have to ask you, you know, sitting here going through your story, you've had, you know, a three hundred dollar three excuse me, three hundred million dollar exit billion dollar plus exit and working on data. Which is you know, very safe bet. That'll it'll be. As big if not your biggest so far what is the the magic ingredient? If you will that has allowed you to build these companies to this type of level, clearly you figured something out in. I don't know if it's your approach to finding the right core people at the very beginning. Or what it is? But do you think there's a piece there that you can communicate that you're aware of? Yeah. I mean, there's a lot. So I mean, you know, one thing is that one of my friends. Who's a who's a great entrepreneurs? Actually, he founded this company Levinger, which sells its come law company. "And the reason is because they're Peters are good, and also let's not under. That their division is terrible. It's still on basically the worst vision of all time. So the Indians of lucked into a very easy schedule, but they have not had to think about removing their pitchers early because they've been so good and overwhelming, which when you have pitchers who were as good as let's say, Corey kluber. Barracuda rescue, even Mike Levinger. You don't need to worry about the third time through the order so much and to go back just to help you all time record home runs in a season is of course two hundred sixty four set by the nineteen ninety seven Seattle, Mariners the Yankees. This year are at two hundred forty seven. So they're seventeen home runs short, and they have another ten games to play. So is within the realm of possibility because seventeen home runs over ten games works out do what is that? Pay said is a pace of two hundred seventy five home runs in season to be record but is not unbelievably high. So the Yankees still illegitimate shot to set the home run record by a little bit. All right. Questioned from Carter. I have a question that's been bugging me for a while. And I guess you guys are the. Authority on baseball hypothetical. So I hope you can provide some insight if all the sounds in baseball got twice as loud gradually over the course of a season, would anyone notice. I think I would only include sounds that are part of the action like the crack of the bet or the ball hitting the catcher's mitt. My favorite part of this question is that this has been bugging him for a while. By the question of if everything baseball twice as loud, would anyone notice. Okay. So it's like video game, right? Where you can play with the with the volume bars, and you could be like, I want the crowd to be louder, but the PA to be quieter. Would anyone notice? So there's a lot of sounds in baseball, I guess. But how many now is this just on a or does it include the crowd? It sounds like he's saying just the sounds of the players produce. Okay. So you've got, presumably some grunts you've got curse words. You've got crack the bat, you've guide balls hitting gloves, whether that's the catcher or people in the field, you've got I dunno players colliding. That's bad one. There's really no. How many other sounds there are now? I guess this would actually make it a more important for players to cover their mouths when they're having mound meetings because they would be more audible to their opponents. So you'd have to kind of smother yourself may..

"He's viable disagreements have, but this would have caused a real problem with our relationship. If what they thought Trump's policy was going to be actually came to fruition. I know that's a little confusing, but the British had an actual reason. People who were deeply involved in connected to their intelligence community to get invited of hurt our information sharing relationship because our posture on enhanced interrogation and their posture on torture, how to marry up a bit to keep this information exchange going. Is that make sense? Secondly, former higher ups and British Intel. And this is where our book has information. You're not gonna find anywhere else. Former higher ups in British Intel did not like Donald Trump's approach to the travel ban. They saw it as anti Muslim when it wasn't some of these people, their own public statements indicate strongly that they had an incentive to make sure Donald Trump was taken out to real collusion. Scandal, ladies and gentlemen is between intelligence representatives and connected people in the United Kingdom and John Brennan, which in turn were used by the FBI in our own law enforcement. That's the scandal. Now making this thing, even worse, doubling down on stupid. Another incredible piece by Rohan Scarborough who's been doing some just phenomenal investigative reporting at the Washington Times. It'll be in the show notes today on dot com. Again, please subscribe to my Email list. It really helps us. I get the information out there. This spy that was used who was deeply connected again to UK intelligence sources and the United States, the font helper, Joe. So there's a guy, Adam Levinger who notices some very shady lookin' contracts between representatives of the United States government very specific offices and Stefan. This guy's connected to the CIA do family relationships and a pass history of working with them and to British intelligence. He goes and he talks at conferences with his British intelligence friends. He's deeply connected to people over there in the United Kingdom intelligence service helper. That is. So this is crazy a whistle blower. Adam Levinger notices that how was paid four hundred? Eleven thousand dollars from September twenty six twenty sixteen through March until last March. Wow. What was he paid for? You know what's really incredible. "No i think rates are backing up because the market is coming to realize that the fed's going to hike rates that this fed under a governor powell might be less concerned about market reaction and we'll just plow ahead with ray cuts i think we're talking about is what you've seen in the back end of the treasury curve and again there's a short term risk of higher rates but i think the the big story there is we don't see much of a long term impact of growth from the tax cuts it's more of a short term sugar high and okay i it it is possible though i mean growth has been slow for so long we're always expecting it to to stay down but when you look at the jobs the fact that companies are hiring like crazy and they're not they can't even find workers must be telling us something david levinger from tc group who continue in a moment and we'll update markets next this is bloomberg adopt us kids blow long time.
