"First of all, Le'Veon bell and starting his boxing career is 30. He is 13. All right? If this is a career that will be anything but a series of stunts and I know there are people who would say boxing as a sport is really just an endless series of stunts for the most part interrupted by actual bouts. If that's what you're going to do, I don't think there'd be the time. I don't know if you know Mickey Rourke. Nikki work picked up boxing when he was about 35. And he said multiple rounds of plastic surgery, not because he's afraid of aging, but because he managed to get his face rearranged. All right, and several different ways. That's probably what's going to happen to Lenny on pal at one point because if you want to avoid head trauma as a football player after a career playing football boxing does not seem like the most natural switch there for me. Second of all, I do feel a little bit queasy about the notion of watching lambda bell and Adrian Peterson after both having careers that running back, which is the yeah, which along with linebacker is probably the most contacted intensive role on the field in football, both do a staged piece of combat at the crypto dot com arena. "I saw a story that was right up your alley, right up my alley, right up everybody's alley. And I kind of forgotten that this has happened. But so Le'Veon bell says that he is not going to be at the NFL this year because he wants to focus on his boxing career. By the way, I'm not going to be in the NFL this year, either because I am focusing on my journalism career. Like, dude, I think that decision was made for you at this point. No big deal. Right? Nah, Le'Veon bail did all that. Do you remember how hard he fought to get his money and he took that year and he missed it and all of that stuff and I had no shade to him about that, do what you need to do to get your money, but if you tell me that you are still going to be out here boxing and you want to make it a career, I can only assume that you didn't keep as much of that money as you should have and confirmation at that point is he have a fight at the crypto dot com arena in Los Angeles against Adrian Peterson, who we know ain't got no money.

The reality is the off season is just as busy or even busier than the regular season. It's just Because there's so much news. There's so many transactions, trades and contracts and all of these things. Um But then once it's like, once the regular season starts, you get to see everything unfold like so many million questions. Like how much time do we spend debating? How is Dak Prescott going to come back from his injury? We saw it and he looked awesome. It is just so fun for me to sit back and watch everything that we've talked about for nine months unfold. I mean, besides, just the fact that I like football. It was. It was awesome. And I think Thursday night reemphasize that All right, so one of the things we always talk about is teams. And how many of these are they keeping in the depth that they have and how much is too much? And then after all those conversations and the rosters are set. You go through running back Armageddon like they just went through in Baltimore. It's amazing what's happened here and they're trying right now, as they scramble in a week one to make some changes to see what they can do about supporting the running back position, But that's a mess right now. Yeah. And, you know, really upsetting, frustrating situation for the Baltimore Ravens. And you know you had a freak injury, um, during the Baltimore Ravens preseason game, J. K. Dobbins, their bell cow there, stud running back goes down. You know, with a torn a, C l and in LCL injury and he had successful surgery or in the week, so he's going to be okay but obviously missed the season. And then just as hill there's his Achilles. They're basically third down back specialty market. That's bad. You could replace that. But that's bad. And then Gus Edwards also terraces a cell in practice, and it's back to back, please. Marcus Peters there Probo Corner. Gus Edwards. Standout running back both go down. Let me John Harbaugh essentially got the players. Up in a meeting and cancel practice and said, Let's just try again tomorrow. That's how devastating it was. You've got to feel for the Ravens. I mean, I think they're going to be Um, I think they are going to be okay. Um, because they are really talented roster elsewhere, and sometimes early injuries help you kind of get together as a team. You know, they got Latavius Murray now in the 53 Man roster, they got Levian Bell. They have options. But Both are obviously a downgrade. This is tough for Baltimore. One of the things that happened. Also in the preseason was the question in the focus, and I know you were watching it closely still are about the New England Patriots quarterback situation. And Bill Belichick goes with the number one pick who looked very good in the preseason. I might add. I saw them up close and personal. And Cam Newton is now gone. One of the things that he said was he was let go because of his aura, which you know that's like a really a cam thing to say. But is it clearly that it was just not going to be worth it to keep him around as a backup? I think Cam is right. Like seriously like I mean, I know he's getting some criticism. People are kind of wondering, you know, does this torpedo his chance at other jobs like can told the truth, I really do. I really do think that, um, he was released, partly because of his, or I mean, he is a guy who a lot of these players grew up watching, rooting for idolizing. He was a rock star. He's an M v. P. They still look at him as that dude, even though his play on the field hasn't warranted it the last three years, So you know, let's say Mac Jones struggles at some point and he's probably going to football is hard as a rookie. He's going to struggle at times. Um, you don't want Cam kind of looking over his shoulder, but some people locker room going Can we just turn to that guy Because he's still Cam Newton, even though he's really not Um, so I honestly think cutting and makes sense and nobody explained it better than Cam did, Um, So I mean, I thought it was. I like to hear truth even if it ruffles feathers, and that was some truth right there from camp. What is ultimately going to be the player? Is there any way to know right now? Ultimately, what's going to be the play in Houston with their quarterback? Who right now is coming to games but not dressing. Yeah. I mean, I think the play is going to be what it is, which is to Shawn Watson active, not playing watching and the Texans will probably trade him next season because and I know it seems crazy going to pay him $10 million this year. Um You know to not play, but here's what If the Texans trade in this, let's say the Texans traded him. Now, right? Let's say they traded him to the Eagles. Okay, Let's just say that there are one of the rumored teams. Well, that makes the Eagles better. So the Eagles trade a first round draft pick several for Dijon Watson. And then, as the team gets better, the value of those pics goes down it actually he devalues his own picks that he was traded for. That's not good. You think you trade him for a top 10 pick. Dobbins, Justice Hill and now goes Edwards to season ending injuries Since training camp began on July 27th. Baltimore has had 13 key players get sidelined for a week by either an injury or by testing positive for Covid 19 is the Ravens season over before it even gets started. Yeah. And it's It's hard. It's a hard pill to swallow. But when you've been The best rushing team in the NFL over the last two seasons, and you lose this many key guys to that element of your offense. This is going to be hard to overcome. Now. They signed Latavius Murray, I think that was a good signing A couple of the guys don't Devante Freeman. They brought in Levian Bell. Who? I don't know what Lady on bill has Levian Bell went to your Jets didn't do. Jack went to Kansas City jumped on board, then got mad because I didn't get enough playing time. Dobbins, who was supposed to be the starter? Went down preseason game. It was the opening drive toys A C out. And so what are the Ravens left with? Tyshon Williams signing Levian Bell and Devante Freeman to the practice squad. These are two players that these guys used to be pro bowlers. Or pro caliber. I mean Levian bell at one point in time. You could say maybe he went on the stretch, whether you consider it to be a few weeks a couple of months of season Running back in the game. He was so damn good. He tried to stick the steel is up. Suffer. He's not, You know, T J Watt. He didn't get his money. He ended up on the New York Jets. Then do you think? He ended up bouncing around. He ended up on the Kansas City Chiefs. Andy Reid didn't even want him didn't use them. And then Levian Bell complained about Andy Reid. Like Like he played him. Levian Bell played himself when he was trying to get out of Pittsburgh, and now he's on the Ravens practice squad. Well, the Ravens have taken it a step further. It's not just bringing in, uh, washed up Levian Bell or Devante Freeman, who was probably also been beat up enough here in the NFL. They've added, Let's say via smurray. You just heard Bob Hughes slash share that with you. Latavius. Murray just refused to take a pay cut to stick around with the saints. The Saints said. Okay, bye. See you later. And now he's signing with the Ravens. He was supposed to make three Million dollars with the Saints and the Saints told him no Thanks. He told them I'm not taking a pay cut. And so now he joins the Ravens and he's a vet. Latavius Murray v. Murray. Excuse me. He was a pro bowler in 2015. But when you're running back you pretty much age and in dog years 31 years old. Got a four year deal a couple of seasons ago. Actually in 2019 signed a four year deal. $14 million. And now he's just going to be a warm body. And a Ravens. I know one of our callers hit me last night. He's just like all the Ravens have to do is, you know, plug in anybody. All the Ravens have to do is, you know, stick anybody out there all this guy was undrafted in this guy's undrafted and this guy is second round. You've got to have guys revolving around him and stay fresh and stay hyped up for it anyway. Lamar Jackson, I felt like Has been a pretty fun player to root for, especially because a lot of guys like him get to the NFL and and don't can't carry over the model that they played with in college, and I think this is what a lot of a lot of Joe Montana supporters would say in knocking down Tom Brady is that he doesn't get knocked down is that he plays by a different set of rules, The new game has been more conducive to offense. "Probably going to be an easy thousand yard rushing season and if he gets the four thousand plus passing yards. I mean we could be talking about the best quarterback in fantasy by a lot. I can't decide if i think it's a plus forum just because i do think the lot. It's probably going to make the offense worse than we thought it was going to be with. Jk dobbins and gus edwards when we have tyson williams and whoever else they end up with is levy on bell or or whoever else so i. I'm a little bit concerned that the ravens just aren't going to be as good offensively. But i do think it's probably a bit of a boost for both mark andrews and marquees brown and rashad bateman. When he comes back. I had already shifted this offense a little bit more pass heavy than they were last year but i still had him at fifty percent rush forty six percent pass for week. One at least with this current roster. I've got basically forty eight. Forty eight basically an even split. And i think there's a chance there hopes of being able to be more past heavier going to become more of a necessity of being more pass heavy now and that'd be good for the past catchers. I'm not sure if it's good for lamar jackson last year. He was a lot better when they went back to the old school. Run the ball. Run the ball run the ball. Yeah i just man. It's it's so hard to wrap your head around. Is everything that happened to this team. And just you know such a short period of time. You know three weeks. Essentially they lose their top two running backs and you know tyson. Williams was the guy. I made the the not a joke but the common on on twitter that there's not going to be a james robinson this season but if there was going to be somebody tyson william seems like the most likely candidate is given the fact that he's come out of nowhere. This was before tony jones. Got the second spot on the on the saints depth chart so both those guys kinda fall into that category but now tyson williams really has the chance to be that type of guy and you said it and i think a lot of people feel the same way. They don't know a lot about this guy. You know he was somebody that's been on the team for. I think a over a year. I saw some On their on their practice squad. And you know somebody who can Hopefully make some plays in twenty five years old. He's a guy who's in college for six years and then had been on the ravens for two years. He's a twenty five year old running. So let's let's expand this for a brief minute here because you know we spend a lot of time talking about the ravens and the options there but for fantasy managers that do lose gus edwards potentially don't have tyson williams can't pick up or don't want to necessarily pick up levian bell or can't get levy on bell. Let's talk about some other guys that just might be available on waivers to me. Tony jones will be the first place that i would look. He's available in just about fifty percent of leagues his roster percents forty nine percent on. Cbs sports justin jackson. We don't know. Do you see taking you into the next generation? I mean, this is a guy that you expect to be a cornerstone of your club for a good period of time. You don't want him to be frustrated and angry and happy and feel disrespected and undervalued and underappreciated. So I think that that's something in terms of what he means on the field. He's the guy that is. He's a playmaker. He's the one. He's the biggest playmaker on that defense. Mike Tomlin love to talk about Splash plays.
