"For like 30 bucks, you know? $500 on the thing. But that's the point, right? If you get something that's $500 in the last year ten years, that's not a bad deal, right? So, you know, that was that. And that's the other side of this. You're not having to buy a new one all the time, which is interesting. In a way, I kind of respect them for that because what they're trying to do for a human way, and I think all these specialist tech companies are trying to do is basically put in place with today's technology, the best framework they can so they can continue to adapt it through software so that you don't have to worry about these. And the thing is in the last ten years so much has changed. I mean, you think if we were to go back ten years and think about if we were having this conversation then, we wouldn't even be probably thinking about or what all the capability is of this device down the line, would we? When we got the victory the second gen, it was like what it can do is all we were really focused on. Not what can it do in ten years? Yeah. I'm not expectations change, doesn't it? I'm not trashing on humor at all. These are the questions that have been asked. He's going to do that. But David, you did have a question. Just going back to your point about the recording. I know you had a question about folders. That intrigued me as well. Yeah, this kind of gets into what I would say is my wish list even. And I don't know if Aaron could speak to whether there's any rumors of this or he's seen any inklings when he's gone through the interface on it. But one, I would think is the two core reasons students use it is audiobooks for me. And voice recordings. And voice recording is a problem my students have typically often had in its kind of full computer and a TTS in their engine. Is folders support. Some sort of ability to craft folders so they can have a recipes folder, they can have a AT training folder, they can have a folder about their yoga class or whatever they're going to. Any inklings of folders for voice recordings or any support there. So yeah, you can put stuff into folders okay. It's just you kind of wrap your head around how it works. So there are within say within the music application. So I've got two folders, one, four, a YouTube channel that I'm going through some of the WCG guidelines. And then I've got stuff for my music practices. And I've separated those into folders. And if you use your two and 8 keys, it will say file level one level two. And within those level one level twos, you can actually move through folders with your 6 key, move back up to file, and you'll automatically be placed into that folder. And then being able to move around to a different file that you're looking for. Okay, that even applies inside the voice recordings, you can create different, okay, sweet. I think that's super awesome. That's it. Cool. He's on now. He's buying one. Well done. Come on. All right. Well, here's the other things on my wishlist, Aaron, and I don't know is the cloud services really have been where I feel like it's pioneered some neat things. The ability to directly download from your library, milk share, things like that, Wikipedia is kind of a clue do you think, but it's interesting anyway. But what about other support for OneDrive Dropbox, Google so that I don't have to go over like a fully Stein and plug the thing in every time or have to move a card into it, any thoughts about that and by the way, you mentioned YouTube, that would be cool if I could just do a YouTube search or something and just play the audio from a YouTube channel or something. Yeah, yeah. You know, I don't want to put words in human words mouth. I would love that kind of stuff too. Oh, please do, please do. I'm just kidding. I would love to see a shutdown version of YouTube. Especially since I'm a YouTube premium subscriber, you know, not having those ads, I'd love to be able to sign in and just say, hey, download this video. I've got to download it on my other devices. Why not download adult stream and take you with me? But there are other ways that you can do that. And put it on the devices. But it would be cool to see kind of more of those cloud services. But I see where they're going. They don't want to scope creep too much because when you scope creep and you open up a device, you want all that stuff to go. I feel like they're making an effort to still make it a very, very simple device in their worried about feature creep and making it too complex. It's almost like for the price point they're doing, I almost feel like they need to bifurcate the product line. They would need to make a simple version of the victory to stream whatever. And then a Victor reader extreme pro. I think that would be much more going to the capital way of doing things. Well, I mean, if my students are. So big, it comes with a strap. But yeah, I mean, I feel like if you had a more basic Victor reader that just did books from the library and did voice recordings and maybe that's about it and sold it at a much cheaper price point like 253 $100 and then made like your pro version like a 556 $100 one and start adding some of these really tricked out features like you would use, I would use and be a much more compelling product even I'll tell you one another simple thing. Hey, human wear, you can send me a check for this one. No, you can have it for free. Going into those complex services, you have to do data entry using what T 9, is that right, Aaron? Yes. And you want to run a search. I think, hey, the things connected to Wi-Fi, let's link it up to dictation engine in the cloud, right? Just push a button, say 20,000 leagues under the scene before I know it. I found the book in the library. Well, it's gone. It's called Bluetooth. Bluetooth. Hasn't it? So you could put a keyboard on there potentially as well. Oh, can you? I don't know. That's a good try too. I don't think that you could do that with the track which is the GPS product to put in. Yes, that's right. You can. That's right. That's why I remember it from, yeah. I know you could plug in a keyboard. And actually, I think it depends on what you think this device is for. Because in its current form, we're doing the usual thing, but we're taking a product and we're rebuilding a whole new product line for them. Because it's like, well, here's what we really need. And here's what we really want. And of course, I think if I'm honest, I'd kind of rather, from my point of view, I'd rather they just stick to one device. I mean, I know they don't have one device. They have a number of devices with the stellar track. There's even as rumored, not even rumored, as suggested by Mathieu piquette, who's probably going to wish she'd never said it, but he said it on the show. The Victor reader trek might come back in a new form. He didn't see wood. But he says that could be another option that that to me is the pro. Because that gives you the extra features in there. I think I still think it was a bit of a mistake if I'm honest putting the stellar trick out. There clearly they have evidence that people want to buy just the GPS device. They're doing this, they're not just putting the finger in the air and saying, what is the wind blowing? Okay, let's go with that. But I do think that the trick with that. And I think the Victor reader track, which I think they still sell. They do. That could do with an update, I think. And that might be the one that David might be more interested in. I mean, maybe the GPS thing isn't for you, I don't know, because that is really what the upgrade would give you. Maybe some other features as well. But I think it just depends what you want this to be. I want to talk a little bit about the competitors, things like the sense player, things like blind show classic two as well, need to take a quick break right now. There was a stick around we'll come back with that

"Lean management, excuse me, business process, re-engineering and sustainable continuous improvement initiatives. Thanks so much for being here today, Jim. It's my pleasure. You're welcome. So talk to me about just so everyone has a clear understanding. What is the business hierarchy of needs? So great question. Over the my 45 year career, I've been a fixed person, which is one of the reasons why I started 50 in 2004. And what I found in just about every instance is that organizations struggled because of a lack of alignment and agreement on where the business was going and how it was going to get there. And so as I've been working with clients, I have found that every business has a core set of needs. And we've all heard of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Well, you kind of take that concept and apply it to the business setting. And so there's three levels in the business hierarchy of needs. Strategy analysis and planning, that's level one, level two is what I call knowledge and change management, which is all about organization and people. And level three is implementation. And you have to progress through each one of these levels. In order to successfully implement a business strategy. What's interesting is that 80% of strategies don't realize they're intended value. And 60% of CEOs say they're organization doesn't do a good job of implementing strategy. And oftentimes, it's not because their strategy is bad. It's because it isn't focused enough, and they haven't spent enough time on the bridge between strategy and results, which is the organization and its people.

"And it's like the amount of people that try and go at it and try and get that, especially because Google puts out so much great thought leadership on MLOps. And they have the zero level zero level one, level two, or they have the ML test score, all that stuff. And people think that straight out from zero to one, you need to be creating everything automated. It needs to be like the most high performance pullet proof system that you can think of and it was just setting up a lot of people for failure. And I think we've moved past that because I haven't seen the you are not Google blog post being shared as much in the community, which makes me think people recognize and they're a little bit more self aware when they're trying to create their systems at their jobs. You don't think they're just off in the corner crying. Or they just don't think being Google is a good thing anymore, just objectively. Yeah. I might be a two. I think I was listening to, I don't know if you all listen to the indie hackers podcast, but recent episode. I think they made this good point. They were talking about because they talk about a lot about bootstrap startups and stuff like that. And one of the points they made was like, you know, whenever base camp was around, or starting up in that sort of thing, they made such inflammatory statements about like taking venture capital is stupid, like why would you ever do like, there was a need for that voice to be in there, right? That voice is still there with the foundry, you know? It's not changed. But now you hear less of that, I think, and it's sort of like normalized in that there's still different perspectives, but there's not as much, it's become more normalized to have these more nuanced discussions.

"Your professional self and how you wanted to present yourself every day at work. And then go back home and you could be, you know, however, you really were, right? And now post pandemic still in this, we're still in this hybrid work environment. It's much harder. We really do, we've seen each other's kitchens and on renovated renovated dogs, UPS men, you know, children screaming. We've seen it all. And we can't now pretend that we're just your professional self. So the mask of perfection has come off hallelujah, which is a part of this shift. And what I realized too through all this research is that perfection equals disconnection. I'm going to say that again for your list perfection equals disconnection on multiple levels. So if your demanding perfection of yourself thinking, I'm just going to, again, present this curated self to the world, right? You come across as fake because you are. And that then puts this wall up, which creates disconnection with your team. So your disconnected with yourself, thinking you have to be somebody else, you have to be perfect, which is not the case. Ergo then it causes disconnection with your team, which then causes disconnection with the entire company because there's not alignment. Like you had mentioned value statements and all the things that organizations work on. And if you're not walking the talk, right? That's complete disconnection. So I look at connection at those three levels. Connection with yourself and really getting comfortable in your own skin as a leader so that you don't feel like you have to be perfect or that you're trying to be somebody else level one. Level two, that true connection with your team, where you really do see them as a whole person and you're able to show that you care about them. You begin calls asking personal questions genuinely showing that you care. And then that level three connection with the organization. That is alignment with where the company says that strategic vision is going in the value statements and you showing that you're in alignment with that. So I see connection at three levels. I really love this. You know what? When you're talking, I thought a couple of things. One, I'm wondering whether this facade isn't driven by the individual, it's a

"Those characters, those gems and accessories change to match that class. It is something we don't want usually, but at least they do that so you don't have to readjust everything. And in the middle of battle or maybe not battle, but prior to a battle, it doesn't require you to take two hours to switch something. It's pretty good. But yeah, it's interesting. And you can also have three healers if you wanted. We're not called healers. I think they're called. It's just a shield. Blocker, blocker. That's what they're called. Are they called bloggers? I thought they were just tanks. Well, that's what they are, but they're also the guys that have the healing at first. Because he has the healing and then they have a healing of some kind. Or maybe I'm even, I could even be confused, 'cause there's a lot of classes. And then once you get away from the bait, I'm not saying you won't stick with the basic classes. But because you've been playing basic classes, you've already switched your main characters probably to four or 5 of them to go up your 50 levels. And so it's pretty easy to like move on to the advancement and stick with those versus the I want to try stupid shit like a team full of just damage. You technically could, especially if you can. If you got up and were hammering people right away really quick, you could probably do some serious damage. Yeah, it's definitely, it's awesome, man. It's thick though. Sometimes if you're bored and chilling and you just want to explore and around collect things, you can auto battle it on, just go into battles. Dude, I don't even think I once used auto battle. I don't even know if I knew there was an auto battle. I mean, they auto hit already. There's a full on, yeah, they move there on their own and they do all those spells. Okay, I think I had that on all the time. As in, I didn't have to control them in battles. I would jump to them and they would be in the midst of something. Oh, no, no, I mean, the character you are controlling, you can press, I think it's a combination of, no, you press the minus button. And then, yeah, they just go on autopilot. I just chill. But that's only for low level and you can't do it on a higher level. That's another thing I turned all my leveling off, so I couldn't tell until I got to them. I couldn't tell what level they were, so I probably didn't experience that because most of the time I was paying a lot of attention because I could run up on the wrong guy because there are some you'll go into a guy and I'll be like, level one level one level one level 9. Level gorilla. I love that. Yeah, the gorillas just like reminds me, remember playing well when it first first came out and you go into a zone and stuff and you're like, holy shit, there's massive dinosaurs that are like level 50 or the Amazon are actually harder too. There's puzzle or not puzzle. Surprise, I guess they have this Gossamer thing. They give you items, I believe, and then there's the elites and then there's the legendary legendary. But what's funny about the legendary guys is, well, the entire game reminds me of monster hunter. I don't know why. Just everything cooking, talking, seeing all the monsters, so many, I mean the game's got a lot of monsters on screen.

"Memory, back then, was acting up, you wanted to determine that while running a diagnostic and not well processing real world data that might trip the same flaw by mistake. And even today, the venerable mem test 86 now mem test 86 plus, which is over at mem test dot org remains a viable and worthwhile test of a systems memory. I've had occasion to run it through the years when something seems a bit flaky and I want to rule out a problem with DRAM. You know, DRAM is big processor access to DRAM is much slower and something like mem test must bypass the cache. The level one level two and level three cache. So it's surprising how slowly it runs when you're actually testing DRAM directly, but that's what a good memory test has to do. So it's the kind of thing you run overnight. And in the case of DRAM's inherent vulnerability to rowhammer attacks, the best we can do is attempt to minimize and mitigate what is unfortunately a pervasive threat. We've heard, we have been told with a great deal of hope and some expectation that the newest generations of DRAM DDR4 were going to resolve this problem by incorporating specific anti row hammer mitigations. So how'd that work out? The short and depressing answer is that the DDR4 memory protections have been broken wide open by blacksmith. The calm sech guys explain. They said, quote, we demonstrate that it is possible to trigger row hammer bit flips on all DRAM devices today, with little effort, despite deployed mitigations on commodity off the shelf systems. This result has a significant impact on the system's security as DRAM devices in the wild can not easily be fixed..

Before they announce nobody's even put it on YouTube. Remember, they had their own website. But yeah, but they definitely have a portion where there is previews. Like I remember before launch probably. What was that like? What did I do for Red Dead, too? Did they do a little bit of preview stuff? Yes, couple. They usually do like an exclusive one, right? They'll have somebody, you know, yes, it was the complication. It's the gaming. It was blowing up the train that mission. Second end, the first or second level. First level in the game actually it is. Yeah. Yeah. But that's all posts and answers. And Dre has not put out music since 2015. Right. I mean, he's gone long. Making money. Right, yeah. His headphone money. Or whatever. His beat. It's probably an NFT's now. His apple money. Is he still? He's still playing some role at Apple. So that's kind of the other thing. If you think about GTA in terms of radio stations and all this other stuff, if you could glean that from this, if they had a show that was on Apple music, like radio. That's right thing. I don't know if he still does, maybe he does. And so is this a modern day GTA setting where they would have. Streaming style stations instead of just trying to mimic FM radio? Because mimicking a period piece at that point, even satellite radio feels like a period piece.

"The pack just big. Just ventilating it. They're letting it rip. They have a build where you're like, they get a little bit HP back every time. They swing away and kill something combined with another friend who's more of another support character that anytime we kill a special infected, I forget what they call them in this game special within special ridden. Sure. Then we all get a damage modifier for the rest of the level. Yeah. Right. Like there's totally support builds, right? There's like tank builds and stuff like that. And it's really cool. It does allow for you to really play the way you want to play the way you prefer to play these sword shooters. Obviously, because that card system works so well, I would never want to play with random people. Yes. So that is one of my larger complaints is the way that match making it set up is a little bit of a bummer where so there's four X and three difficulties. And each act has several starting points. Except for the last one, it's only one. But like the first act, let's say is broken up into like three little chunks. So you need to be present for the beginning of the first chunk and the end of the last chunk. If you want to be able to start on the next chunk. So like, I need to play through if me and Jan are partied up and we start on act one level one. And we play level one, level two, but then like something happens in Jan has to dip before he gets to level three. What happened? We would have you the bread, the bread was in The Rain. You had to go get the bread out of The Rain. The bread left for bread. How would you know that pita was my favorite character in other games? Nice. The problem is like you now have to go back and do those first three chapters again. And with when you're like, when you're getting older, like me, it's harder to, like, in college, I could easily find three friends and be like, let's just spend the weekend and blaze through this entire campaign. We're going to stay up all night. We're just going to rock it. Everyone's.

"Can i ask you to talk for just a couple of minutes for i. Apologize about her breasts Just for comes back. One of the things that i wanna dementia as we talk about the five levels of modification it exponentially. We really want to be careful to Took knowledge the power of the gospel. So if if your level one level two church don't be embarrassed about. The power of the gospel is no less meaningful. No less powerful Regardless of what level you might be out of factor because the vast majority churches are level one level two most of his faith in level one level two churches. It's about It is about the reshaping a paradigm and and helping us to understand. Maybe maybe hear. God's voice a little bit a little bit differently and so i would encourage it to To look into the levels that that we talk about there but again not to demean any individual church for For a particular Because it is the the power of the gospel and and appreciate bread and and His humility one or the other shifts that we talk about to move beyond the magnetic level three is cheryl maker and that idea of moving from a hero posture to a hero maker posture. And am hoping that's part of what you're picking up from brad as well too in in in wanting to to share what they've written here that comes from an abundance of experience in abundance in Certainly with respect to the us church and church planning But but there is. There is a lot of credibility that comes with that just for lead. That said i got a couple other questions. I want to be sure we get to but just before we leave that do Is there do you see a scenario. Where a lead. Pastor would not be cycling people would not be actively disabling people you know and i'm going to be vulnerable here. I've said this and you can tell me whether i'm right or wrong and you're not being vulnerable because i know you're gonna tell me if i'm right or wrong but i've said if the business of the church grows to the point where a pastor is not personally deciphering disciple people and doesn't have meaningful relationships with people that don't know don't yet know jesus than the business of the church has gotten too big. So what part of that is right. What part of that is wrong yet. No i i think there is a way to pass for church without being a disciple. And that is by being a hypocrite. Just simply go up here and select heading heading to or heading three from the template from your document and that should take care of the headings that automatically appear the navigational pain. This is also the same approach that we're going to follow at the end. When we create or table of contents microsoft word basically takes this information from the navigation bar and will create automatically a table of contents. We'll talk more about that later. All right so take a look at these points. Take a look at your document. And i'm going to share with you. A an excel spreadsheet and. I'll probably share it. I won't share it here in this page that we're looking at but i will share it in the post that included microsoft teams. It'll be a linked to an excel spreadsheet. That looks well. Looks like this. All right and the idea here is to ask everyone to check each of these points. That i just mentioned i would ask you. Check your own method section point by point and when you're looking at your own document some of these points that i've mentioned may apply to use some of these. You may need to change based on what. I'm sharing with you here today. There may be some of the cases where you don't need to make any changes right but the point is that you're gonna that you check each of these and if i can open up the document here okay. So the idea. Here's to edge name here in this first column along with your idea under kombi and these points here. The top each one of these collins from d. c. yes colin d two column. Oh each one of these points are taken from the points that i just shared with you a moment ago in this is why some of these these words or phrases appear in bold each one of these relates to each one of these collins. Award count comes from word counts. Side sources comes from cite sources. And i took it in order. Participants participants age age. And so on. So this is very simple. All i'm going to ask is that you include one of three numbers zero one or two so if you if there are no changes necessary based on the point that i'm describing with you today here and from this page right this does not apply to you and no changes are necessary. Benue into you can indicate here zero if you need to make a change then select one and if you're not sure select two okay. That's basically it so we'll have either a zero one two all the way across for each of your names here can again. It doesn't matter at the time that you're adding this information. What the order. Just you know wherever you when you put in the information. Just continue just under the next rothe bet After your wife your classmates has entered the information. Okay that's fine all right once. You've done this when i'm going to do on monday at ten. Am i'm to schedule an online session. It's open it's not required. It's for anyone who has questions about their methods. Section or once further feedback about the methods section. And the points that i'm sharing here. This will take care of most of the issues related to the method section. I think and if some other things come up. I will continue adding to this list or i will talk about it and share with you additional information about it but this doing this procedure. I think we'll go a long way one of the reasons why i'm doing it this way. So that i can some general feedback to everyone as soon as possible so that you can continue making these changes. Most of these changes are going to be small all right. These are just some small details. That i think will address tickly improve your method section. In case so again we'll have our next session at ten. It's open it's not required. Of course we're still on vacation. No tutoring sessions will be scheduled Like last week but if anyone wants to to discuss their methods section or anything else. Join us monday at ten. Am i'll be online and anyone shows. We'll talk about whatever it is. We need to talk about so we'll leave it there for now and.

"See whether or not you have a have met. This have you have. You met this The request for the word count okay for your method section. Now the second section the second point. I wanna make should say only site other sources if you number one used or modified an instrument from another study or point number two. You're replicating data collection procedure from another study. That is the process by which you are collecting data. You're borrowing that process from another study. In those two cases in either one of those cases i would suggest that you include a citation and also that same that citation will be in the references section at the end of your document all right so these are really the only two reasons to side. Outside source. generally speaking tried to avoid definitions and explanations explanations in the methods section and definitions in the methods section really is not required or even suggested simply because we have really limit the number of words that we're going to be including in the methods section so again. This is a very short but concise section. There's a lot of important information and for me. The most the most important information does not include definitions and long explanations as to why why this process you know why this particular term or why this now you might include why in terms of the instruments. That's okay but you're not going to need to side outside sources for for the most part okay number three next point state how you chose your participants and why so in the very first subsection under participants explain how you chose. The participants was the rationale behind choosing those participants point state specifically the age range of the participants. Right i'll be saying this alive throughout the rest of the process is trying to be as specific as possible and in the case of the age range. If you're including the age range there might be cases where the the age of your participants is not important. But if you're including the range then we want to be very specific we can either say the average age of the students was whatever or and or you can include the range. It's always a good idea to include range also so you have kind of an idea if we're you know if we're talking about a wide range of ages or not the next point review verb tenses and. I would suggest that you take the glance here at the table. Below for the most part the method section can be there in the past tense or the present perfect k. Much like the literature review. I do have a note here that says at the bottom generally claims that are original ideas. I'm thinking now. In terms of the literature review those could be in the present tense also okay but in the methods section past tense and present. Perfect or two acceptable in very common verb tenses for this section include any permissions. So if you got permission to make sure that you include who granted permission and who does it cover in terms of this permission and covers an. I don't know the students that you're collecting the data. Whomever you're participants are sometimes. These are the same people. The people that actually granted permission might be the same as who's covered within the within the permission. Sometimes it's not and many times it's not in fact if the let's say the administrators or let's say the owner of the school granted permission it might apply to. Let's say students and teachers of that school. For example so i would try to include both mentioned both who granted the permission and who the permission applies to the next point when stating your instruments. Remember to state in an interview or the classroom observation sheet as examples. I should say stayed the interview guide or the classroom. Observations sheet is examples. Not just the interview. I actually have typo here. I'll go back and and In fact i can barely hear so interview guide. So make sure that you have your stating the. It's a guide interview guide whether it's a structured interview guide or a semi structured interview guide or classroom observations she'd these are actual examples of instruments. Don't mention that an interview was an instrument. The guide itself for the interview is the actual instrument our next point state appendices as appendix a. b. and notice here what's capitalized. Notice the punctuation. So here we have see all lower case. So that's not capitalized. We can capitalize appendix. We capitalize the letter in this case. A and b notice that there is no punctuation within the parentheses and we have a period at the end to indicate. Typically this will go at the end of the sentence all right the next point check proper capitalization and level two headings double check the method subsections especially in the case where you have a procedure and data analysis. We want to capitalize the main words. This is gonna apply to all level two headings. We'll talk about this again hearing below when we look at the appendices the titles of bendix. This will be also level two heading. The main words are also capitalized in those cases. If you have any level two headings in your literature review the main words are capitalized. So this rule applies to level one level. Two and level. Three main words are capitalized in each of those three different types of headings according to the next point the use of the passive voice is more common in the methods section versus in the literature review so in the literature review. You anytime you come across the passive voice in most cases. You're better off trying to write in the active voice but not so much the case in the methods section again. It's a little bit more common to use voice in the method section. All right the next point each appendix should be on on a separate page with a level. One heading at the top of the page. I line at the very very top of the page with the title as a level one heading appendix say appendix b and so on check for capitalization and it should also be bold k. Use the original template guide whatever the original template however it was stated there that is that should provide you the correct example. So just make sure that you are consistent with using that same type of formatting each appendix should also have a level two heading in this is going to be the title of the appendix or the title of the instrument for example. So here this is going to be a level two as i mentioned earlier. Him capitalized in bold. It's on separate line. It's going to be left justified. That is how to format that that particular.

"So right naps to me or the time when i get the most vivid dreams because you're just in the lake level one level to sleep in fact lately. I've been having history. So i take naps and my dad used to have a room in his own little brokerage houses he would just go back and take naps but lately my dream when i wake up is i can see myself being just this tiny speck of consciousness and you zoom out. You're in saint louis. And then you zoom out your north america then the earth than the universe and you realize the only place that i can experiences right here in this consciousness and your asleep wake up and so i have this like being thrown into the world and then you're it's two o'clock in the afternoon and you're like oh i better get to work i gotta get and but like i think about that when i read your definition of success and i was like that is that is so powerful right. That's the one thing i want. Most in the world is the ability to feel consciousness in the middle of the day. Like an awareness. You're the fact that you have. A spark of life is so rare and so unique that you can only experience if you're aware of it exactly so the other two so one of the other definitions and i think this is a spoken. I've gotten a lot of great feedback on. This actually had a friend of mine. Call me last night. Who's the ceo of a company and he was just like i needed to read this. I needed to read it now. He's like you don't know this but an inflection point in my career. And i needed to hear this and i've had a few other people email me or text me and say you know i'm inflection point in really the one that spoke to them. Is this this idea. And i had read a years ago and it was kind of success. Not you know. Success was more income but that the secret is is that as you move up the income ladder. You're paid more and more for who you are rather than what you do and that really spoke to me and it's something that really try to mentor. A lot of the people in our company on because you start out doing especially if you're good at something. And i had this situation where i was trained as a lawyer. I was a state plan tax. Laura too big law firm that worked at arthur andersen and i did a lot of technical tax stuff and i had this performance review when i was about thirty and the head of the tax evasion. Remembers 'cause he he he did all these reviews of like everybody was a manager in the tax division and actually took the time and effort to really think about me and really focus on my career. Because he could've just said which he did. You know jennings. You're so smart. You do such good work and he said you were one of the best technical tax people i have ever worked with like you. Make our office here in saint louis better. You help everybody around you. You're such a resource. It could've stopped there. And i would've like awesome. He goes. If you continue on this path you will never make partner because we can always by technical people that have true success of the soft skills they can bring in business they can deal with clients develop relationships they have networks they invest in others. They leave they.

"Because i'm not supposed to be a school leader. I couldn't be a school leader in the public school system so we need to examine that as a community as educational community as well so but to answer your question so i started in social services which is the path that i thought it was going to stay on Had an opportunity to work in a really really unique program in madison place neighborhood intervention program and i was my specific job was working with a group of kids almost all which who had come to madison by way of chicago because if you think back in the early nineties Chicago had a. It's the worst welfare system and madison. Had one of the most attractive ones if you wanted to be. If he were on wilbur soap they'll move scotto and brought the saco problems to specific communities in madison was really called of chaos and And so they were they. Were those kids. Were going to jail at young ages and in my particular program a judge could send them to my program as an alternative to prison Stand committed significant enough crimes where They were getting a prison sentence and if they completed my program there prison sentence would be stayed. If they didn't complete my program they went to jail. That's some camp to jail. Mostly gun robberies that nature really really tough kids and i could be forgetting a kid or two. But i don't know of once i can't recall one single kid that came through that program that didn't make substantial changes to their lives In this program was complete. It would take a minimum six months in and oftentimes longest nine months and When you entered the program we had six days a week of contact Four hours a day so it was really really intensive program but every last one of those kids were making it out of level one level to sink almost all all of them are almost all of them completed the.

So let's go ahead and get some thoughts on this Let's start with. Jared this time jared paper. I came prepared. Usually it is not not as much on this one but you can start my timer anyway so it starts off. I i note says being kidnapped and tied to the side of a helicopter. That is a rough day. Did not look comfortable next week. Go into the scene with tommy. Tommy jumped a few levels there from not being able to predict cards at all. Moving things all around the room you went from level one level ten click never next not quite fond of the scientists. Put up zero. When tommy was kidnapped. They're like hey you get out of here but then i had to go back abbott at dinner. That note storm shadow shows up at one. Kicks the table so their total effort to stop that kidnapping quite was kicking the table at storm shadow. I've made a note. That says i want an old dude fire-starter figure you know the old guy that could control fire want that figure big fan of detro- contribution to that whole kidnap plot. Because if you remember he was. The team lead on that he did nothing but sit in the aircraft and say quickly. I grow impatient so way to go stroke. I got here. Oh i got to give it to co. They managed to squeeze in an entire training base at a major tourist destination. So that was good was clever. I i also want a mind controlled. Tommy figure is is all green and stuff like that made that want control. Tommy what else are you here. We can defeat Living statues and exploding island at the same time. It's very gi joe thing to do. This is my biggest one that i want to come back to. I wrote wait. Where did dookie lady jaye more skyhawks. They crash their skyhawks. And then they show up to save them in skyhawks. I don't know all right And then i waited a long time before. I finally made this okay. I'm finally going right now. Not a hawaiian say on. It girl is pretty hot and then he was like To savor all we gotta do is go toucher that was like oh this is gonna get weird Oh like this the old dude with the firepower he essentially straight up defeated himself because he was like throwing fire at a barbecue or just made us. So that would be filing airborne over time unit. And you you never knew he had to go back to. He had to go back to get it. I must have missed that part. He told duke. We gotta go pet before we go save him to go back to the must've been writing down the note that says the old dudes straight up defeated himself. Because i o but aired. You made a good point earlier to they're like we've got these like we're totally locked down here like all you do is just pull that off their poll that thing right off your head those those bands even though they worked yet but they're still they got a bunch of storage and they're like well we gotta use them. You know plugging away anyway. That was my my list of notes. Thank you for entertainment as always and i'm going to make a quick comment real quick since we're talking about those bands and stuff. I know one some people. Complain about the Moving or restore for a second. The force awakens people. Complain that they use the big planet thing to try to destroy other planets much like the first two movies or not. I do but style new hope and return the things like this just shows that once someone gets an idea in their head. They're not gonna let it go look started thing almost works twice so we're gonna keep pounding on that thing where he's a destroy a plan. That's lamest all right. The empire scrap it with headbands from now. So pats take off your mind control headband. For a moment. And what do you think about this. What are your thoughts on this episode. Apex Legends' Battle Pass Released Amid Mixed Reviews
"Legends about a pass is out two hours ago. I am excited about this. Yeah. There seems to be some blowback from the community about it. You said that earlier like it's got a lot of stuff through one hundred levels. There's a lot of filler a lot of skin posted that yet. Yeah. Where do you see the full website? You click on every year. Oh, I didn't put in more beds. Need more good skins? These don't seem like skin. Oh, you know. Maybe there is kind of. I'm not going to lie. I was there are there are a lot of stat trackers in here. Yeah. It's a lot of stat trackers level icon things and stuff that you know, isn't necessarily better skins man, like the level one level battle passage and be the best one obviously level one hundred should be the best one, but the level one one is setting the tone for your whole battle pass. Right. Those are good looking skins. Well, I mean, maybe okay. Let's say aesthetically that is open to that subject to your taste. I have an issue with all the skins in the skate. Oh, what what I will say is that they put work into those skins. Yeah. They do look more unique than they're not. They're not. Yeah. They're not just like the parents skins that are in the base game. In a lot of cases. Like, they did unique work for these at least. But yeah, maybe you don't like where they actually look with octane. So is that hero. It's a separate ES. Yes. Launchi do not Doc, contain. the battles that was rumored at one point octane. Would it looks like there's an level forty eight that I don't know if that's unlocking octane or skin. But so I got actually you know, what I got an Email. That was like, hey, here's like they literally sent me codes for apex coins. Say like, hey, here's nothing about a pass and octane separate that they're doing the thing where you can make enough coins in the battle pass to refund basically of rice. Done that really basically incentivizing new where if you play enough the next pass is going to be free right octane can be unlocked via twelve thousand legends tokens or seven hundred fifty apex. Other characters. Yeah. If I diverge to include myself in the conversation Boris game at noise, I'm just force my way, I should one thing. That's been interesting about switching for mobile. Deb to real game. Is every mobile devastating right now. Like motherfucker? I went up to some of the people made crash land say like you guys put a real game on a phone. That's hard to do. Nice job crash lands Nate made by butterscotch shenanigans. Yeah. Anyways, file that away for I recommend it. So I can't play every single game on a play like before when you make for you to play. Oh here. It doesn't games. You should check out. Okay. Boom. Boom. I played them and ten minutes of each one. You can get the idea you got like eighty percent of it. Yeah.
