Fantasy Football: Dream destination for Le'Veon Bell

"Taking the very high end fantasy glory impossible. But what if pick your love this? And this is levian bell the Kansas City Chiefs. Yes, let it happen. I let it happen. They were just a weren't. They just about one level away from a Super Bowl title last year. Wouldn't you say? Bruce worth just eleve- bell away. Yes. I mean, they almost got there with Damian Williams, and I would dance a beautiful dance on the fantasy grave of Damian Williams. If left bell were to go to Kansas City now lev bell at his current asking price would only cost the chiefs about two two and a half times more per yard than any other running back in football. They also investment they also need to find an extension for tyreek hill. They've got gotta find an extension for Chris Jones. This is a near impossibility. But what if I mean the question was what are you most want to see happen? I wanna see what Patrick Mahomes does with Sammy Watkins Levy on bell. Tyreek hill and Travis Kelsey. I think you saw it was what he did with cream. Yeah. You're right. You're right Damien Williams. But that is that's full man from the Mancha that isn't impossible. Now, the reason why the even comes up is on the basis of. Whenever of any team has a quarterback on a rookie contract. They have the opportunity to exploit the the capital positions. But they do have talented players need extensions is not likely to happen left. Bell to can't hear Helms already going into your three. Let's take a step back and just say how about love bell to a good team. That's what I'd most like to see happen and free agency have belly. Luckily that bell to Indianapolis. No bell to Kansas City. Love bell to somebody that is above five hundred. I think the only I think the only good team if you're talking last year, the only good team would be Houston. What about two more? I don't think they'll all they won't go pay. Yeah. All but they would not be the biggest knife twist in vision the teams with the cap money that wanna make the run and need the big name or probably teams like the jets and the raiders which leave. Yeah, volume. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Thanks, guys. Appreciate

"Right. Let's get to the TANF preview. Now like, you can't find any tennis courts. Right. We need that long-awaited Ricky Hollywood versus Dr Rosenthal match. I know maybe the LA TC. I mean, there's like perfect spa. There's like fifty free tennis courts everywhere you look at but this is the community, Greg. The Green Bay Packers. Who just spoke about a lot of pressure on the Packers to prove Mark wrong. Four four and one spank the dolphins last week. But here's a challenge. They're go into Seattle to face the Seahawks sea hawks who were playing for their season right now last. Let's just keep it real. They've lost tuna row. They're four and five in a loaded. NFC four and six means goodbye. They are playing for the season. This is a team that Greg has said repeatedly he views as a playoff team, and they can run on anyone you saw they ran for almost three hundred yards and a loss to the Rams. I think they're gonna run on the Packers question is can the Packers. Keep up with them. I think they can because the Packers play a style where they lean on their quarterback and the Seahawks play a style where they're trying to hide their great quarterback. Where Russell Wilson is such a secondary player in this offense. I think they've gone too far too in love with the fact they've run for one hundred and fifty yards six games, which is wild like the Seahawks are basically the best running team in football right now. Even when Chris Carson was out. I mean, just by the numbers. But I don't think I think over time and you saw it I think in last week's game. And I know they ended up keeping a close with the Rams Russell Wilson at about fifty nine yards passing going into the fourth quarter. I just think that makes your margin for error on third downs. Very tough. It's a tough place to play. But I would rather have the team where you're relying on your quarterback. And I think the Seahawks are a little too in love with this run run pass when their defense is just okay. Good. It's not great. It's a fine defense. I like it. If it's if it operates the way the Cowboys did in years past where you're taking Green Bay off the field by controlling thirty five plus minutes of the game. I don't see Seattle doing that effectively week after week. They are running. Well, but it's like you're not gonna just be able to play keep away from the Packers. One of the reasons that chargers one is because they started selling out they paid no respect to the receivers whatsoever. After the first quarter and just sold out knowing it was going to be run the whole game. I think you have to mix it up just for predictability last week. I thought the Packers maybe it was just because they were head but they hit on an offense. That makes sense to me Aaron Jones getting seventy five percent of the snaps. Devante atoms. Getting quite a bit of targets focus on your best players keep Jones on the field. I mean that guy he kinda defines shot out of a cannon. They we hear you hear shot out of a cannon a lot. When I hear shot out of a cannon right now. I think Aaron judge tells you that ball when it come out of the cannon though. Yeah, helps he's he's. Facing lighter box and running back in the league. Oh, what's that earlier than I meant? But I'm gonna lock it up for the Packers. Wow. Another road team. Greg like, you need this you, it's a loser goes home. That's for. I I went home. I'm gonna go I'm home. And I'm rooting I found out that that I win a sandwich. If if anyone but Mark wins. So now, I'm just rooting for west or or Dan, I guess Dan gets in the mix. I am of the mix two games out. All right Dan's in it well to. Yeah. I'm I have the same record is, Dan. So by technicality alone. I'm also in everyone's in the mix Rex but me who just made that pick from his home feels like a juicy spot for lock off..

"While everyone else in your mind, you're thinking this is my Friday night because that's the way our scheduled breaks. Eric is up in West Hollywood her fourth MARTINI. And I'm sitting here watching the Panthers not show up on Thursday night football. And you're sitting at your cubicle. And you're watching this game slip away. And just wanna get gave us a waste of time. For me. That that your Friday night, essentially is being impacted. That navy trade. So we I wanted to be clear. In the parlance of our social media times. The Steelers have been sunning the Browns and Bengals for forty five. Freaking years. Yeah. And you want somebody to knock them off less to be clear though. You said you Gary because the the Panthers fans are a vindictive bunch and you guaranteed a play play. The it only is ending in a playoff blasted. You mean like they won't even win a playoff game. It's immediate playoff loss. I what I'm guaranteeing is that they are. They're going to hit you anywhere and be an ultra non factor when we look back on what alternately happened in the playoffs. The Panthers are like last season where they went out in the first round meekly. But I think they're better than last year. I don't know. I think they have a shot better teams in the NFC last. I think we have a shot to make some noise might get buys was better teams. And then the Panthers could win a game. And then who knows what can I don't know. Okay. I don't know. I mean, I get your point. I don't know really love to say this. But I am. With most of the players and saying I do not like Thursday night football. I specially don't like when there's really good games. Like that should have been a good game. And Mark you made a point of it on Thursday that probably would have been a great game last week's game. Who was a Panthers and Steelers dealers would have been a great game on Sunday at four twenty five and on CBS or FOX instead sometimes these teams don't show up especially the road teams. And that's why I don't even put a ton of stock into that game. Like, I don't think they were exposed. I think they got the the the ball started rolling on him. And it turned into a snowball, and I just say screw it that game's gone, and I bet they make a deep run in the I like this team a lot. I think like the Thursday night thing had a huge impact. I don't think that result ever would have occurred at on Sunday at one o'clock in Pittsburgh. But but they were exposed though, I don't just give them a free pass. That's two football teams that played each other. And they were exposed dealers have house their last five opponents. It hasn't always showed up on the scoreboard. But they've just they've been the best team in football. The last five weeks they've been as good as chief in the rain. But I really believe saints. This for five weeks is saints saints saints or saints are in an league thrown stuff that but I'm saying the Steelers to me just for that five weeks stretcher in that in that league. You play five straight opponents, and you physically dominate all five of them that that's hard. Let's see Carolina does against New Orleans. I'll Steelers are playing with three downs. Saints are playing with four you good, Mark. I actually feel a lot better. All right, good. Let's move on. Eric I can't find this ad. Oh, censored gave.

"Toasts parts around him. I'm not buying the Packers to me do this every year. You have not won a Super Bowl since two thousand and ten and I do not need to be part of this fantasy that just assume they're going to topple all these better teams in the NFC you like when they're good to whether they're good or bad. You don't like him. I also think that it's a fan base. That's had excellent quarterback play for that reason our decades. And it's I don't know there's something about the whole thing what the segment is. We let Mark explain why he's anger angry about the team. Then we step in. And we try to diagnose what really is the root cause of this. And I think you're hitting at it here. The back toback five Rogers thing has always annoyed stuck in your crawl. Hark, I it's just the whole experience. Like I love Aaron Rodgers. He's a great player. It's not there's nothing. About there's nothing that's the item not critiquing this place. Just this is just this have you ever like when you were in school and every guy in class like the same girl and you're dislike. No, I'm not buying this one. Like, I do not need to be a huge Aaron Rodgers fan. The way that other people are I just don't find this team. I don't need this team on prime time as much as they are. I am outlier here. They annoy me for some reason. And I am to sell trying to self diagnose it half the time myself. I just don't buy the Stroman NFC title game argument. Like are. We not supposed to cover any team unless they can make a title game. We've seen with his team whenever and Rogers is healthy they go the playoffs. Whether it's relax or run the table. And this team has no worse than those in a relaxed other way to eight seven and the thing they'd lose in the playoffs when they shouldn't. Also, they go in with these stack teams. I think this started from me when they had that fifteen in one campaign and got taken out by the giants. Go handle your business patriots here. Right. It happened. They've had an inordinate amount. Tree patriots. Don't stumble and big spots. Gentle. That's not have had an inordinate. It's inordinate amount of bad playoff losses. But in their best seasons where they finished off the best. They looked terrible around week ten. So I don't know if we can tell anything right now, there is an argument to be and I don't even think of the Packers is like one of my five favorite teams of making a list. It's just that like Aaron Rodgers is. Maybe the best player I've ever seen in one. Maybe it's up there with the most fun players ever got to watch. So I like to watch them the most captivating, right? So so I like them. And so, yeah, I do root for Valetta know, how you always said west you you needed your women to have faults and flaws. He's too perfect for me. Like, I'd rather see him go through some stuff. And it's just like, I don't know. He has he's went through a lot. He's gone through a lot. There's an argument, though, don't cry for me or Title. Tata. It's not that much. I mean, I I was thinking while while the Packers were struggling with the dolphins for a little bit. Watching that game. There is an argument to be made that non Packers fans that are Rogers fans, which I would consider Dan and west that we just like watching play. There's an argument to be made you should almost root against them this year to finally get the stink of McCarthy off because I'm just I want to see I've been saying this for a few years. I wanna see him with another coach and only missing the playoffs. My accomplish. They went halfway with Don Capers. My my final thought is that if I had to make a list of the top ten top twenty games in the last decade. Whether it was a winner a loss for the Packers. They're probably on that list. More than any other team. Yes, I'm not saying this is logical. All right. Who else you got all the Rams, okay? Oh my God. Look at are. They good. Yes. They are good. They're great. They're gonna go right to the Super Bowl. But I for me. It reminds me of when I was young and you live on the east coast..

"I'd rather have that than what was going on before? Finally in the news, Joe flacco has a hip injury that seems troublesome. It seems like something that could shelve the quarterback for an extended amount of time. He's not practicing to start the week. And it seems like a possibility that he's going to miss time. Maybe extended time this injury is that at the end of the Joe flacco in Baltimore. We shall see Robert Griffin. The third who has really been a off the radar in the NFL for a couple years. Now, there's a chance even starts Greg the next in the next week or so or even on Sunday is that employees that is very much LA and Lamar Jackson was. When this story I popped up during the ravens by week the thought was immediately. Okay. It's it's time to fly with Lamar Jackson. We're going to see what happens, but the athletes reported on on Wednesday that the ravens have been mentioning RG three as as a possible starter. And so we don't know if they're just trying to keep it vague. So that you know, their opponents can't prepare. But when this flacco story, I popped up. I got admit my my antenna was up. It just seemed a little it seemed a little strange and convenient that suddenly flacco has this injury that came out of nowhere right during the bye week. I don't know it just I thought going going on. So I I don't know what's going on these injured in their coach says if he can play he's going to be out there. Normally if you're normally if you're just trying to push push him away. You're not going to say now if he's capable of planing end, but he's been playing through. And they're just like look Joe you need to get this you need to get this ready. You need to get this right before you play again because you're playing through it. And it's not helping us and in. Hey, look, right. And in their mind, it's like, hey, we have our by week rep four and five this is lower last. Stan maybe it's just to get RJ three in there. Well, well, here's my other thing. I thought you were going in a different direction I intend to raise a little bit. Because I was like why wouldn't the obvious move of Beata put in the number one pick. I I'm with you. I mean, there are a little progress. Same reason at the end of the preseason when they came out publicly and said if something happens to flacco, we'll be RG three under center, not Lamar Jax don't necessarily by RG three is the would be the starter Sunday. I I have I would kind of expect they would both be out there if RG three played, and we don't we don't know right now, it's competing reporting. If I went to see you rookie quarterback's playing all over the league. That's why what's why not put Lamar Jackson in their here in late November and give them a shot. He's had plenty of practice and preparation trying for. Playoff run. Right. If he's not ready to run the offense, which is a lot different than taking a trick play every so yeah, I would say his last time we sell RG three play a major role on a team. He was nothing special. It's not like they have somebody. So both of these quarterbacks play in the preseason. RG three was much better than the Mark Jackson. Who didn't look like he could run. The ravens often. It's it's fascinating though. Right. I mean, you either can run the offense or you can't let us have been to. It's been two months. So we don't know. Right. What's different? It is a fascinating moment though, John Harbaugh and just this raven staff because you really do feel like if they don't make the playoffs. He's probably gone. And and he's keeping a good attitude. He did the whole like animal house, you know, was it over when Germans bombed Pearl Harbor bit at his press on press conference this week. And you know, so he's he's keeping a light tone. But it's big it's ten times. Mike for ancestor used to call that whistling past the graveyard. That's that was a song. There's I'm Riemann j I at maybe it's just the patriots fan in me. But there is something about the ravens that I I I sort of expect they will find a way that it's not over for them..

"Could fail fast enough. So he for two locks and then got out and now they, bam. Thank you. Get the cardinals professional. You know a mess. They're one in five. So this is a game that if you wanna look at half half Cup failed, you got Josh Rosen and his first primetime game and von Miller Trump chase him down. Royce Freeman. Okay. Who's looked who they look great Bradley Chubb otherwise making impact game. Excellent. Go, that's pretty good. He's been Broncos doing a lot of talking this week. John Elway says, we're fighting for our lives. He pretty much called out the team. Von Miller says, we're gonna go down this feel like we're going gonna kick their ads. Yeah, it does feel like there's something at stake even though I know this is not a high octane game, but it does feel like if you lose to the cardinals, who I think are the worst team in the NFL just according to the facts. Like if you if the Broncos and fix, I'm saying, if you look at the analytics, just the efficiency, they were very lucky to win the one game even that they won. I think they've been on bounce the worst even the NFL if you lose to them in the farm, people go to the farm, sometimes they don't come back. No. Sometimes you stay at the farm with the doggies by the way, building up expectations and pressure in this game. Also, Steve Wilks the first year head coach of the cartels. Here's what he had to say. I would say all jobs in jeopardy, including mine if we don't win Steve, you don't your first year coach. Often you don't need to put that out there because what you're doing is not necessarily making ownership think that way, but you're making the fans think that way because and then you just build more pressure. I thought that was a mistake to talk that way. You got a bad team, Steve, you can get beating this game, and it doesn't mean you should then be fired or that should be even connected to your name. I thought those weird quote, their is fighting heart, and I think they're playing better than the Broncos much more ballyhooed defense right now. That's true. We could see that you could see Chandler Jones and Patrick Peterson and and I have a theory I binds making enough plays in this game, win it on their own, Josh Rosen, very capable. Making a few big throws into into tight windows. We give cardinals a winning. Give Jason's something smile. It's been a bad year, but they lost the bears fourteen sixteen. They lost to the Seahawks seventeen to twenty and they beat the the forty Niners twenty to eighteen a team that nearly took out a bigger contender on Monday night. So I. I don't think that they're awful, but they have just a talents you on offense for sure. Their offense is almost unwatchable. I have a theory on this Broncos defense. They were top five run d last year. They gave up seventy seven yards per game on the ground through three weeks this year. And then case keenum missed a wide-open, throw to Mary's Thomas to win the game. And their defense said, we've got three or four games worth of game here. This case keenum just can't make the throws that he needs to make for us to win. We wanted Kirk cousins. We openly pined for him and we got stuck with a guy who's not good enough to bring us back to the playoffs. And I think that's, I think it was a natural letdown from that jets broke their spirit. What that game love that idea did we bring up John l. called zone defense, soft. Now we have it doesn't the shoe fit the first defense in history to give up a two hundred yard rusher in back to back games, John John divas a soft, the offense is no good. What are you? You made a bad team. Tweezers. We'll be back late tomorrow night. Actually the sizzler and I will be handling the recap of this fine, fine, Thursday night, football game, and then we'll bring line. We'll review all of the week, seven games that lie ahead on Sunday and Monday. So make sure you tune in for that. And that's it. Then has a signing off for quite storm. The mailman the old boss. "They don't go to the sidelines and you can't keep up. I just know they can only play one style of football. They are limited by their quarterback. Cantors agree. Do they have the weapons on the outside that could make it happen with a better quarterback? They don't yet to win a title. You're right. It's a fatal flaw. If I'm Jay Gruden though. I'm thinking I want to keep my job at wanna, make the playoffs. And I think they could do that with this kind of close to the vest limited off. It's a very interesting match of this week when they play the Cowboys because those two teams are very similar feels like there's only room for one. You know, it's like it's like there's sometimes actors are on the same corner. There's only room for one. There's only room for one of these like close to the vest. We want to run the ball. We're not. We can only play for a head team from the NFC east to make an Chris response. Right, exactly. So we're going to find out this week who's Chris Evans? There's this quote, sorry, pine Pontics eat. There's this quote about sick Gilman. One of the best offense of mines in history and Bill Walsh was similar that he made the defense cover the entire fifty three by one hundred yard field. And you see the chiefs do that. Now the Redskins don't, and it's the quarterback. Difference. All right, Mark, I want you to think about this analytically. Not with your heart. I don't know if I have that ability, but I'll attempt to you can do this. The Pittsburgh Steelers, locker room, fatal, flaw long-haul. No, I don't think it is, and here's one thing is fatal flaw. Okay. Here's one thing that I feel like and the Steelers are a long shot at this point with the other teams to win the Super Bowl. But when you think about those, the America's game Super Bowl like recaps those incredible hour, long specials. This feels like the setup for one of the best ones of all time. You're running backs. Not there. You're wide receivers, mouthy, everyone's going off. It's a total drama filled locker room, but then they somehow find a way to get it done. This doesn't feel that different to me than Steelers locker rooms of. So no, I don't. They're gonna ask your worst nightmare. The America's game two thousand eighteen. Look. It's love bell. It's juju. And Tom, I will not watch it, but I do think other, hey, Bill couldn't bend was like, then I'll just hire an assassin on Craigslist. Take me up point here. Can we really no to any degree of certainty what's going on? No room regardless. We have someone to kill you. That may come when I have to write the Thursday night. Broncos cardinals recap that money. Yeah, save it. Save the money for your family, at least level kill. Howdy. I'm going to be leaving the world forever. Also. I'm gonna put us underwater financially because I'm gonna hire really accomplished hitman. Yeah. What that's brutal Rica. Well, also by the way you have to get that job right. Well, yeah, you can't go halfway with that job very morbid conversation. I'm enjoying it though. The Minnesota Vikings ground attack and all line, Greg fatal flaw long-haul long-haul because I think the the strengths on their team can be strong enough to overcome that. When you have a quarterback in cousins, who's playing better under pressure than than he ever has before, and you have a defense that has the potential to be much better than they have. They need to be much better. I think they can make up their running backs are fine. So it's really the line we're talking about, and I think they can make up for for that line ran well last week, not a great opponent, but Davin cook will come back eventually and they do have a wildcard. They drafted a guy named Brian O'Neill in the second round, and maybe he wasn't ready to start at the beginning of the year, but he played last week and that's when they had their best rushing game of the year. So maybe Brian O'Neill works as way in there and help stabilize about the falcons defense, fatal flaw flaw for a month. Now, and people aren't willing to accept it. But. It's or these people that won't accept grows. And the only one that has an accent, it's going to doom them. It's not. It's not a matter. It's not a matter of win..

"Can he do a flacco or any lie manning? And I think that's unlikely in today's climate. I, I don't think it's a flaw that can prevent them from winning this division. I just let us there. Good enough to even pick up the slack this year last couple weeks. I also think the rest of their offense. What we saw in January, they were all humming and they the play calling. Everything was maximized. The rest of their offense is not what it was last year at that time. Why does it c- so hard? I know this is a little off talk. Why does it seem so hard for great defenses to follow it up with another great year? I just feel like a lot of time these, these, these back to earth, even if the personnel is the same or even technically better. Well, I think health is a big reason in this doesn't seem that important, but DJ hate in their slot corner was out and the Cowboys slot receiver cool Beasley picked on the Jaguars the entire game, like health is a factor inborn, but also when the quarter when is is the buy in for the for the quarterback still the, that's what you said. Then just kind of odd survey -cially has been is one of the analytical sort of bedrocks of site like football outsiders. That defense is not as predictable your after you can't keep it. And that's why a lot of people believe just smarter to build around offense because that's. A lot more predictably outlets. True. The Cowboys wide receiver groups became Colby's Lee, he broke out, but in general, it's been very quiet season, fatal flaw or in for the long haul. I'm gonna go in for the long haul because I think if the Cowboys don't get it done this year, it's not because of their wide receivers. I mean, I think that's certainly a weakness, but I think it's one that they can overcome if the offensive line plays like it did the last few weeks, the defense plays like it did the last few weeks. That's one position that I think you can survive having a low level. I do think there was some hubris though, on the part of the Cowboys organization to do as little as they did at that position in an off in a league or the offense is changing so much that they roll into the September with what they have. It was an immediate problem and it's still a problem. I think it's a fatal flaw. I think the rest of this roster could be sort of NFC championship game caliber. If everything goes well, but you cannot keep up with the Rams the saints in even the Vikings with this wide receiver. Here's. My thing though if they had a better quarterback like a really high level one and or a high level offense coordinator, I think you can make up for those wide receivers. They just might not have that. This team could win nine or ten games, but no title contender. And it's a big part of that is the lack of explosiveness in the passing game. So I will also say, fatal flaw. Oh, the Kansas City Chiefs. Everybody loves the quarterback, Showtime home stop now styled enough with that, but fatal flaw or in for the long haul, chief secondary, it's a flow. I don't think it's fatal because I think they can score with anyone they can get into shootout with any team and come out on top. The FCC is not that strong. If they are one of the worst defenses in the league and they are the the, this could be the year that one of the worst defenses in the league is attached to a SuperBowl winner. I think they can win. They're often saying, wait a second, do anything patriots, then it for decade by the way, a pretty mediocre defense and in some really bad ones that they made it to a Super Bowl with two thousand eleven the other night. The fact that the patriots defense I thought played about as well as it could play in the first half of that game. And then you look up at the end and the chiefs still forty points on the board. It's like even when the patriots Stevenson a fairly good job in that game, and they still give up forty. It's ridiculous. Good. Greg, trying to punch in. Very masculine. How about the Washington Redskins Wes outside the numbers, fatal flaw this offense. Can't do anything outside the numbers. They can't go down the field..

"Oh, well, all right. We'll be on more injury news, Josh, Josh, Allen for the bills, the rookie. He's. He's been put a tough spot this year, and now he's injured. He hurt his elbow. Sprain is UCLA which if you are a baseball fan, for instance, you know, that is sometimes a precursor to the dreaded Tommy John surgery, which is a ligament replacement. Hopefully it doesn't end up going in that direction, but it's a serious enough injury for Alan that he's gonna miss this week against the colts and multiple weeks. It looks like so Allen is out, and this is how bad things are for Nathan Peterman. The Bill signed Derek Anderson off the street last week, and he's gonna start actually on Sunday for the Bill. So. And if you need it anymore reminder, what a bad mistake they made again, and not that AJ McCarron was a stud, but. Instead of having another guy in the house that the train with the team through the offseason and preseason and knows the playbook. Instead you signed Derek Anderson added cobwebs and now he's starting for you. So good luck with that buffalo, Dan, you're a baseball fan when you hear owner, collateral, ligament, what do you think I here Tommy John surgery. You're gonna miss a guy for a year. I mean that happens both differ in. They're saying he doesn't need the surgery. Maybe they're hoping that rest, they don't know. And that's what they always say about pitchers. Maybe we can work through this with rest and rehab and football's different. It's not the same throwing motion, so maybe it's not as debilitating, but if I'm a bills fan, I'm kind of hoping. I don't see Josh Allen again, the rest of this year just let him rest. There's no reason to this is such a worse case scenario. I mean, you get rid of tyrod Taylor's. Just they have the number three defense in the NFL according to football outsiders, and they're just kinda waste everyone's time for the rest of the talk to Sean McDermott having to start Derek Anderson to not lose the locker room. By starting Nathan Peterman got the highest enters interception rate since at least eighteen seventy. I don't mind them getting rid of McCarron. I hate this. The whole off season plan they had before they ever got McCarron Anderson's Anderson just as good, but they could have kept tyrod Taylor moving on the Oakland Raiders speaking of teams dealing with a lot of turmoil right now they have a, they're looking to trade the Mark Cooper, and what are they looking for according to wrap sheet a first round pick for the wide receiver. Let's start there a couple of things with the raiders, but west start with Cooper who's had another kind of internet innomax season this year is he worth the first round pick? Well, let me put it this way. I tweeted that out as soon as rap sheet, put it on the aftermath the other day, and the responses were all like a competition to see..

"But I think that that's what he cares about is a big guaranteed contract. Marlin Mak has remained sidelined at the practice today. Mr. Wilkins running back for the colts. So looks like it looks like it's going to be Jordan Wilkins and Christopher Michael in one against Cincinnati. Would you rather start Adrian Peterson or Jordan Wilkins. Jordan, and let's throw Chris Carson in there. How would you rank those three, Chris? Carson Jordan Wilkins, Adrian Peterson, I would go. That's been. That's a really tough question. I'm going to go. I'm gonna go Wilkins Peterson Carson, and I think I would go Carson Wilkins Peterson. They're all bad. Tell you what I don't want that. I don't want to start any one of those guys. How excited are you Brooks that we're actually going to get to see things come to fruition this week, it's football, eve. It is football eve. We do have a Thursday night game, and you know what? Let's preview falcons take on the eagles. Oh, rematch. Is this an up-to-date line? Brooks? Are the eagles favored by two still? Yes. Get eagles a favor by two. It's a forty five and a half point over under the game is tomorrow night Thursday night and of some light rain. Thank you, Jason rock. Thank you so much. Let's start with the eagles side of the ball. Nick foles is getting the start. I was encouraged that JJ he's been practicing in full. He may be the one player you can kind of count on in this game on the eagles side false. Who's the other one? Zakar. That's true. Zakar it's going to end you though. Yes, yeah, because Nick foles over targets him. All right, Nick, foles are you can one hundred percent count on. He's going to be a great start. I'll Sean Jeffrey. No, Carson Wentz. Right. How do you feel about Corey Clement right now? Because I was trying to make a roster decision, so dismounting in the league record, I had to decide between two players to drop. I had Pat Mahomes on the bench because I just kind of wanted to have them there. Similarly till the Garoppolo situation, I dropped Mahomes for tyrod Taylor, good move. I could've dropped Corey Clement, no. Okay. So you're not worried about like I'm just worried that Conan's not going to have a big enough wrong choice off. He's, he certainly made not, but this is not a situation where you. Want to find out on Sunday watching the game. Oh crap. Corey Clement is heavily involved. He's the red zone guy. Corey Clement here is to me the exact same as might Gillislee except he's been with the team this off season. He is fair chance of that goal line back. He will get some work, but he's not the main guy. He's at home in, you know, a without an Ingram coming back. Right, right. Yeah. I mean, obviously on the on the season like Clement more for this week, you know, the matchup is better for Gillislee over Clement, but I think you can throw him in in the flex and hope for that touchdown, hope that he gets a little bit of passing work as well. What's your JJ though? I don't know. I'm much JJ talk from Jason. I am one hundred percent fine firing him up. He should be started in most leagues. And here's another thing we, we haven't really talked about weekly strategy, not just the fun, but there is legit strategy. G to playing guys on a Thursday night game. Now, historically speaking over the last few years, we've had a lot of Poupard Thursday night games once after the innovative opener because they got plenty of time to prepare for the NFL kickoff later week to week three week four, it's a short week, and so you get some down offenses, but you also get to see how your guys did. If you've got one or two or three players in that Thursday night game, now you can make adjustments going, okay. I'm off to a huge lead. I'm gonna play the safe guys or men. Those guys, you know, pooped the bed. I really need to swing for the fences here, so but JJ dancer question Mike. I, I would be surprised if I'm not starting him. You'd have to have really good running backs on your roster. What about the other side of the ball might? So Matt Ryan. I'm okay. Playing him the the eagles defense. I still don't really wanna mess around with them..

"I don't think he can be fantasy relevant. I don't. I would rather like if you would rather start this week Mike week one Chad Williams number two in the depth chart. Would you rather start Chad Williams or Ricky seals Jones? Oh, that's an interesting question. Martin ex-partners tied in flex by like how. How confident and this goes for you to Jason. You can feel confident answering this one. Would you go Chad Williams or rookie seals Jones with? I think I would go Chad Williams man Washington's close though. Right? Yeah, very close, very close. It's it's it's a matter and that's the problem I have. Both guys are touchdown, target type of guys. All right. The Jags of listed Keelan coal and Dante Moncrieff as the starters on their week, one depth chart. This is a look. This is obviously an endorsement Keelan coal. He's been running with the ones Dante. Moncrieff had slipped in the depth chart, but had a very good final preseason performance. Any thoughts here keeling Kohl's the Jaguars wide receiver. I want still agreed Moncrieff in west Di. DD is going to be fine too. I mean, he's in the slot. It's, you know, I, I don't. I don't worry about the three of them I think are going to kind of take turns this whole season, especially now with news coming out the awesome sphere. Jenkins is dealing with a core injury. He did not practice, really. I miss that. Yeah, we'll have. We'll have to see because he has such a great matchup week one against he does Ryan's. Trending up for Keelan. Coal. Yeah, I, I agree. Keelan coal is the guy would want Evan Ingram cleared the concussion protocol. He is expected to play in week one against the Jags. You bought the dip, Jay Gruden talking about Chris Thompson looking, fantastic ready to go for week one. I think Thomson and we brought it up a couple of weeks ago. I, I'm very high on Chris Thompson this year. I think his opportunity the value represented in drafts. Nobody wanted to touch him. He made a comment about not feeling hundred percent yet, but all the coaches talk about how good he looks in camp and he doesn't have much head of him in terms of. Over. Players, so no one else on that roster's running back positions pass catcher. Exactly. I think Thompson has a good opportunity. Devante Parker is not gonna play week one bide receiver for the Miami Dolphins. Who do you start in? Is it Kenny stills? Yes. Danny amendola and Kenny stills? For me. I mean, Kenny stills. Are your own out or Hong on Miami didn't say, who's the best. Oh, okay. The start one. On if I knew would start to Miami whiteouts. I am willing to one both of those guys. What does that mean in as a wide receiver one or two? No. I mean, this is this is pretty simple. Right? I'm saying that both of those guys are started -able players in fantasy football for week one. Now, if I were to rank them, I would have Kenny stills ahead of Danny amendola. Here we go. We got there. We got and of it. Was that confusing? Well, I didn't think it was that views. I think we what we were looking for though is win. Devante Parker goes out. We're asking who steps into opportunity specifically, and that is my answer. I believe both of those guys get a bump. I mean, it's not going to be all of the targets that were going to go to Parker, go stills, Josh Gordon week one, Kenny stills. Ooh. Probably stills you just it. It's hard to start, Josh Gordon right now. You just have no idea. No idea. Kenny stills? Juju Smith Schuster juju do Kenny stills? Michael Crabtree. Very, very close. That one's tough. It's just a matter of what you believe is Crabtree still got does he? I think he does. But Alex Collins is one of my favorite plays this week. Danny amendola, Robert woods. Amendola. Yeah, Dan Madala, Jamison Crowder against dole. Crowder, right? Without further ado, let's get in the mail bag. Mailbag. All right. "I would say it is roughly the same. Okay. Any other takeaways from the final episode? Oh, let's other than the fact that the Browns just cut everybody that you wanted to. You have to root for HBO has to form storylines and they wait. Storyline was going to be the one where the guy stays around. They picked the Cottam all know. It'll be interesting in in Cleveland this year that I think what I took away at the end was I know that you can say what you want about Hugh Jackson, I love Todd Haley. Yes. And the roster turnover was fifty, nine percent. That's the turnover from the from the an Owen sixteen team. You turned over fifty nine percent and they they had a very good preseason and they have some very interesting pieces on defense. I think it will be a fun season it. I really hope it is. I, I want the Cleveland Browns to be good. I just. Think that they're going to be good next year. Sure. Yeah, I, you can't help, but think the Todd Haley and and Williams are both looking at that head coaching opportunity. Oh, my bay took their coordinator, jobs, they're going. This is just a stone's throw from being a head coach away from hard knocks is Greg Williams is the worst. You feel greatly dislike what you bountygate cannot be forgotten people. All right, Mike, the time has come. The waiver wire has run in our league of record and you wrote something down. What did you write down? Tyrod Taylor you correct? Yeah, I have acquired in. I am starting tyrod Taylor. Good luck. Thank you. He's, he's a pretty good play this way. I don't hate it. Yeah, but I'm playing them over Big Ben. I would not do that. Did you hear those Tonio Brown numbers? I did hear those numbers. You got regrets. No, no, you gotta call your shot. Early in the defensive warning regrets, we'll find we'll find out. They'll be very public regrets that that's the fun thing about having a show like this. I get to be very publicly, right? A very publicly wrong. I'll say this tyrod is a good play, but bay somebody just said, I'm very happy to tell Tell you, you, what what are you are going you going to to sleep. gonna? It's not gonna matter much. He was gonna, put up two hundred points and win, no matter what you do. I wish you were wrong, but you're not your teams really get. Let's let's get into the ORs. Why. You know, sometimes people listen to the show and they say, I'm going to gonna listen to Jason or my only gonna listen to Mike would just do both. Just like the buccaneers and dolphins have chosen, do Chris Godwin or does Shawn Jackson were listed as the starter across Mike Evans, and then Kenyon Drake or Frank gore listed as the starter running back position. So why do and when you can do or I don't think these guys understand what the word starter means. It's like, say, who's the best? Yeah, like the I get into this with with the wife where we talk about. Okay. Well, who's your best friend? Well, this person and this person. The best. I want to know the best. There's one there. It's highlighted. There can be only one, but not in Miami. No, it's or. There you, they're going to need some oars to row their lifeboat. Well, not it's none of the draft pool man well-done into the draft. It's it's not an or in Arizona between who's the second wide receiver is not Christian Kirk or Chad Williams. Chad Williams listed as the second wide receiver on that up. Yeah, it's an or for me though it Chad Williams that they've come out and publicly said, it's gonna be a rotation between Chataway and Kristen, Kirk, JJ Nelson for that second role. This is one of the depth chart things that I actually don't read too much into. And this is a person who I have Chad Williams on dynasty teams. I'd love him to become something great. I don't think this offense can sustain..

"You only pay for what you win, check it out there. Like I said, hundreds of new things every single day. Pristine auction. All right. Let's get into the depth chart. Let's talk about some interesting depth chart notes. Things that came out yesterday. We'll get you guys his thoughts and whether they're important, unimportant, my guilty officially listed as the saints number two running back on the week, one truck makes sense. Makes sense. Sean, Payton had a lot of good things to say about him. I believe that chimera will see an uptick volume compared to what he was getting with Ingram, but I also do believe guilty will be involved in this offense. Yeah, we've never seen. We've never seen the Sean Payton saints use a true dominant workhorse state date always have two or three running backs involved. And so why they would shift from that. Now after signing Gillislee wouldn't make a lot compares high. Gay in carries per game was he had twelve carries three times now I expect that to go up, but I'm not expecting twenty carries from Alvin Kamara. I would read around that twelve to fifteen range and then catch a bunch passes. Chris Carson list is the starter in Seattle who he should have been my pump the brakes. Yeah, Chris carseat one week one again the Broncos on the road, their defense because Earl, Thomas is not going to bring that up because Thomas is doing the defensive player, imitation of love bell right now. He he said, he's not showing up without an extension. The Cowboys have been upping and upping offers to get him. But if he falls out of that secondary, that that defense, I would upgrade pass catchers in Denver. I, I almost pump the brakes on Russell Wilson as and it would not be well. It wouldn't be bad, but Wilson is going to have to throw the ball a ton. I similar to Jordan Howard. I think that the game script is going to go away from. Chris Carson. Yeah, it's it's it's not a good week one for Seattle. No. Ronald Jones has been fully bodied. Oh, by me. Number three. Back on the bucks in initial depth chart behind you. Quizz Rodgers. And then starter painting, barber. I do think it's time will come for an opportunity but not necessarily relevance for quite a while. You cannot say that anything went well for Ronald Jones in the past four weeks. If you've got paid Barbara and your dynasty team still friendly reminder, you might want to reach out and try and shop him in one of my dynasty leagues. I had a terrible quarterback problem as in Matt. Ryan was the only starter on my team. I had one gore back. I was able to flip Peyton barber and a two for Derek Carr, which I was extremely happy with Peyton Barbara this week against New Orleans in Orleans or Rex Birkin. Paid-in barbara. I'm asking you. Oh, Birket. Okay. Peyton barber with with with Ryan fits magic. I think I think I, I'm not down on Peyton Barbara in, I'm not. I'm not disposing of pain also, but it's going to the thing about New Orleans is that they're really, really good. No. I mean, last defense is incredible. No look at the numbers from last year about their passing defense verse. They're rushing defense. They were not an upper tier, rush, stopping defense. That wasn't that wasn't what they did. So I think that the way the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to be able to stay in this is only going to be through Peyton Barbara. So will he fail? Sure. Maybe he fails, but I, I don't see painting Barbara as as a terrible play. Also real quick. I just wanted to throw this out there because I know we've moved on from La Belle, but I'm tracking the information and I just saw this incredible tweet from Anthony stags at pyro stag. Listen to the last sixteen games from Antonio Brown. In the those sixteen games. You talked about where love bell was miss, right? Here's his and this is a season. So you'll know are these totals good for a season or bed? Here's his line. The sixteen games without La Belle a one hundred and forty six receptions two hundred seven targets two thousand eighty yards and thirteen touchdowns. So. Oh, and you know what? He's got a good match of. Yeah. He's a good player. So I'm moving to my watch by the way. Did either of, you guess leat. Yeah. Any difference of opinion on Hugh Jackson over the course of this or is the same as when it started?.

"Yeah, I'm I'm, I'm glad that you pointed out that it doesn't mean that you hate a guy. It's just, you know, sometimes managing expectations because Mike has picked terrible pump the brakes, but I'm gonna. I won't even let you go second because it's so bad. I'm going with a pump, the brakes. You know, this is this is a handsome pump. Okay. This is a very handsome pump. The brakes on. I do not like where this is golden Garoppolo Jimmy Garoppolo. Oh, mercy, Jimmy, Garoppolo. Look, he's the tenth drafted quarterback off the board. He was someone that I, if you if you've listened. I'm actually ties to hear you say that because like I should know that. But because of where I've placed Jimmy Garoppolo in my own rankings for the entire offseason and thought of him and where I wanted him, I didn't realize he was that high people are very excited for the hand. Well, it's, it's the breakout. It's the next Tom Brady trained behind Tom Brady, but we've kinda ferry small sample size. This is why this offseason pump the bring we have. This is why we've been down on him a little bit is because the look, he's not just given the reins to succeed, but now take that out and say, okay, well, I like Jimmy g. I drafted Jimmy g. he's on my roster. I did grab him as the tenth quarterback off the board. You're going on the road to Minnesota for their home opener. Yeah, and that's not a good match up. That's not going to be easy sledding and there are so many guys on the waivers right now that I would pick up drop fodder if you can't. If you can't get rid of Jimmy g. he's just too handsome and you've got some. Wide receiver sitting there on your, you know you, you have Philip door set on the roster, drop them and pick up someone else. Here's a list of guys that I would start this week over Jimmy Garoppolo in order Andy, Dalton, tyrod, Taylor, Marcus, mariota, Sam. Bradford Dak Prescott Alex Smith and Blake Bortles I promise one of those are available available in your league. I would personally start every single one of those guys over Jimmy g. on the road in Minnesota to start season. Can I have a follow up there for you guys? All right. It's hard to let a guy like Jimmy Garoppolo go week one though. I saying, no, he's not saying to drop me groggy. I missed that. I would personally, if this was my team, I would have no problem dropping Jimmy garopolo. 'cause she just resigning? I, yeah, maybe I'd resign them. And if if someone else signs sign a different quarterback, I would not. You feel the same Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. I mean, I I would not worry about. I've gotta have Jimmy g. but I'm saying if if you out there, listening are like, no, I really believe in him then, yeah, drop some other fodder wide receiver from from your Ostra Mike, who's your week? One pump the break..

"These top in an era we were just talking about pk's is that the way to do it in the world cup or you just keep playing trae mention the tennis we see the us open golf went from a whole nother day to a two hole playoff are we in an air renou where there is almost too much change being talked about in sports well i thought you i'm not the end of that question was going to be something different today through big guy your back door pavement on your up i mean i thought what you were going to say are we in an era where our society just demands these types of changes and you know i think there's something to that look it is a really competitive entertainment landscape out there just think about sports i mean we talk now you know it used to be in the summer we got through the end of the nba finals and we kind of own the summer we have to compete now because the nba season stuff is so interesting to people and we have to compete and when you're in that i don't know if you heard lebron went to the lakers i did hear that we have to compete and i think that part of that competition is understanding how people live their lives and i do think one consideration i'm not saying the driving thing the deciding factor but one consideration is people have limits on how much time they're going to be just because realities how much time they're going to devote to any single activity and so while you know there's always the competitive piece you want it to be fair you want it to be decided so the best player of the best team wins you also have to take an account it's those people that fill that stadium up that make it all go the absolutely do as major league baseball commissioner rob manfred is with us here on set on golick and wingo espn radio and espn news and we're reminding you to tune in for major league baseball homerun derby as baseball's best hitters vie for long ball supremacy presented by t mobile our coverage begins tonight at eight hundred on espn radio espn radio dot com and.
