Biden Rejects Military Report Outlining Afghanistan Withdrawal
"In this interview with Lester holt of NBC whom he said was being a wise guy for asking about inflation. Biden said he rejected the findings of the army, saying that the handwriting was on the wall that he was advised that it was going to be chaos, Americans would want to be left behind. He said, quote, no, that's not what I was told. So apparently he's rejecting the army report. Washington Post talked about a military official quoted in the document accused The White House in the State Department of not recognizing the swift advance of the Taliban. Reports to disagreements over how to handle the evacuation and the at risk Afghans. Biden says he's rejecting that report. Apparently he's calling the military officials quoted in the document. Liars.
Biden Calls Lester Holt a 'Wise Guy'
"Biden told left to holt the anchor NBC News, nightly news? He's being a wise guy for asking about inflation. And hey, I understand that's your job. To a soft network NBC couldn't be more friendly to a Joe Biden. NBC also is the parent company of MSNBC hawk. The Joe Scarborough show where they dump on Donald Trump and Republicans all the time. And Joe Biden couldn't handle a simple question from this guy about inflation. Is this a game show? Now let's remember that even Jerome Powell, that chair said we should retire this term temporary or transitory. So I think the word transitory has different meanings to different people to many, it carries a time a sense of short lived. We tend to use it to mean that it won't leave a permanent mark in the form of higher inflation. I think it's probably a good time to retire that word and try to explain more clearly what we mean.
Ukraine-Russia crisis: What to know about the fears of war
"President Biden is repeating the warning that any Americans still in Ukraine should leave as soon as possible for weeks the state department has been advising Americans to get out of Ukraine president Biden issued a stronger warning saying if Russia invades Ukraine it's one of the largest armies in the world and things could quote go crazy quickly he was asked by Lester Holt on NBC news if there was a scenario in which U. S. forces might be sent in to rescue stranded Americans are not that's a World War Americans and Russians start shooting at one another we're in a very different world we've ever been but the president says he believes Russia's leader is smart enough not to do anything that would negatively impact American citizens I'm Jackie Quinn
NBC News' Peter Alexander Ignores That Justice Clarence Thomas Is Black
"I saw a headline last night how NBC's chief White House correspondent Peter Alexander was talking to Lester holt and headline said Peter Alexander stumbles and claims that Biden will be nominating the first African American justice to the Supreme Court. I thought, wow, that's quite a stumble. So I had barrack Derrick pull the clip. Here it is. Is the president's commitment as a candidate that he would nominate the first African American justice to the Supreme Court. Did you hear a stumble? I didn't hear he didn't stutter. He seemed very clear. The media is grotesque. The crazed libs are lunatics. They don't think clarence Thomas is black. They actually believe he doesn't exist.

"I mean, there always has to be, look, we all love a sports argument, right? A debate. And those have been around since the beginning of sports. And I'm not saying that they have it. But my problem now is there's so much animosity that vented towards baseball toward sports owners, agents, and players that a lot of the fun has come out of it. And that's why it's important and I think we recognize a guy like John Lester when he retires after 16 years. Yeah. And again, in 5 years, hopefully we get a chance to kind of bring him back up and do it all again when he's eligible for the Hall of Fame. Well, Alex, we got to get out of here and I got to wrap up this podcast. Thanks for joining me on it. Got anything you want to push? By the way? Just full coverage. We got the Patriots in the playoffs, two Caracas back to south, it should sell the deadline and we'll talk more about Ortiz candidacy, 98, 5 sports sub dot com. Well done, Alex, I'm very proud of you. We all taught you well, you know? And by the way, keep Evan Lazar in line, would you? Oh, I will. You know I am. By the way, when I text you, Bengal texts from the playoffs, will you please respond right away? I will try. I will. See, prime is, 'cause it's during after this, you know, once a patriots get eliminated definitely. If it's in the middle of a patriots game, I don't know what's going on, but are you going to buffalo, by the way? I am not. I will actually be on with Ted Johnson Sunday warning on the sports of from 8 to ten after the game. So there you go. Stick it sticking around to excuse me, sticking around to jump on air, so. All right, 8 to ten on Sunday morning with Ted Johnson, the former Super Bowl winning patriots linebacker. That will be much less than win or lose in Buffalo on Saturday night. I want to thank everybody for downloading today's podcast. Thank our terrific guests,.

"Back with Alex barth of 98 5, the sports hub. Can I give you one more stat on John Lester? Yeah, please do. Okay, so when the Red Sox traded Jon Lester in the 2014 season, right, they go out. They signed David price the next year and that was kind of seen as the tradeoff. If you look at the numbers for David price and John Lester between 2015 and 2019, when price was in Boston, they're nearly identical. Lester has the edge in some categories price as the edge of a categories. I think that says a lot because price was hailed as this monumental signing. Obviously, it didn't turn out great, but you hailed as this monumental signing, right? And the guy he replaced the guy they didn't want to pay basically did the same thing. And they could have had them for a significantly less. So that's kind of you, I'm glad you did this, Alex. Thank you. You saved my bacon here. You can't tell the John Lester story without explaining what happened in 2014. And what happened preceding that and how the Red Sox let them get away to recap everybody, I think Red Sox fans know that the Red Sox had a chance to sign him at a much lower value and Red Sox ownership decided to take a pass. They thought that John Lester was asking too much, they lowballed him. And that is the reason why John Lester in the end decided not to sign with the Red Sox and the Red Sox. Waited too long and then they had to decide as we mentioned in 2014 to trade him to the Oakland a's and you know Alex, what were your memories of that? That whole thing. I was crushed. Like I said, lesser is one of my favorite players at the time. And. I knew I knew the whole thing sports as a business and these guys are hired guns and all that. Like, I was holding. I was in college at that.

"So as long as it's in the right context you're okay with it. Yeah, no, I love stories like that. And yeah, again, it gets the point where he's a guy, I think the reliability and consistency element of it is huge. I just that's big. That's huge, but I think the competitiveness is what, to me, if I had a vote, that's what would get him in the Hall of Fame. He is one of the more fierce competitors. He was great to us in the media when he wasn't fixing. He was a terrific guy to cover. I love the guy in terms of being a being a subject I could write about. I thought it was very genuine with us when he did speak to us. I thought it was very humble guy, but when he was on the mound, there was a little bit of Roger Clemens in him. I mean, Clemens took it to an extreme in terms of what he would do to try and win. I think we all know that. And we'll get to that in a little while. But I think with John Lester, when he was on the mound, he was just incredibly focused. And pedroia when he was told about that story in St. Louis about taking the liner off the leg said, yep, that sounds like him. If you have two of them, you're good to go. That's what we used to say if it wasn't an arm or a leg. You've got another one. Get out there and play. So Dustin pedroia, I'm sure supports the John Lester bid for cooperstown, I think, in 5 years, I think, I don't know if he's gonna get in on the first ballot. I doubt he will, depending on what the class is at that time, but I think he definitely belongs in the Hall of Fame..

"Like ten or 12 years, I don't know if he is, but how many years did he end up playing? Was it 1616? 16 years. 16 years where he was for the majority of those years, 14, at least in those 16 years. He's an unquestionable front end of the rotation starter. There aren't a lot of guys that have done that in this era. It's really just, I mean, find another guy over that period of time that pitched that well that consistently. And I think that's what we've talked about this before the Hall of Fame discussion. I think it's really it really should be compared to players at your position in players in your era, right? I don't want to compare John Lester to Nolan Ryan, because it's two completely different games. I don't want to compare him to David Ortiz because they're not doing the same thing, right? Find me another pitcher who had a career like John Lester did from his era. It's really hard. It's really hard to do. And that, to me, speaks to a Hall of Fame career. I think that's a great point. I left out one team. You know, the team I left out. When I was listing his career the nationals. No, yeah, I actually left out two teams. I left out the nationals in 2021. Yeah. And I left out the Oakland a's back in 2014 when he was the cesspit is trade. That was, indeed, this cesspit is trade back in 2014. A non Red Sox non playoff Red Sox team was going nowhere and decided to trade him. So, you know, you look at his career numbers, 200 wins on the button, 117 losses, 3.66 ERA in his career he had 15 shutouts. And he has the three World Series rings from 2007 when he came back from lymphoma midseason and really was a big part of that Red Sox World Series team in the playoffs, both against the Indians and the rockies..

"Anyway, I went with my mom took me and my brother and my mom's a cancer survivor and she knew John Lester, she was well aware of Jon Lester's story. We were all well aware of John Lester's story. You know, we were big fans of his, for that reason Andy was a good player. We used to donate $31 to the Jimmy fund every year because that was his number. So to see his no hitter with my mom, that was just a really cool moment. So, you know, from then on, Jon Lester's always been one of my favorite athletes because just what he embodied. He went about it the right way all of that. So a hell of a career. And again, it's a shame he didn't get to spend more of it in Boston. Indeed. And yes, that no hitter that happened did happen back in 2000 and 8 against the Kansas City Royals, really was in a remarkable achievement. And really, that's when the tracks what would have happened, what would have happened if 14 year old me ran up to you coming out of the press box and said, I'm going to work with you one day. What has said, get the F out of the way, kid. I'm going to make you part of the Fenway concrete if you don't get out of my way. And I'm sure I unfortunately said that to some poor kid. But on May 19th, 2008 Lester through a no hitter in a 7 zero win against the Kansas City Royals. In that game, Lester through a 130 pictures allowing only two walks striking out 9 batters actually was charged with a throwing error on a pick off attempt in the second inning. It was the first no hitter thrown by a Red Sox lefty. Do you know since when? You probably don't know this. But I'm going to ask it anyway. Is it since cyan? No. 1956, Mel Parnell. It was the first Red Sox left handed picture since Mel Parnell in 56 to throw a no hitter. It was I was there. It was a remarkable achievement given what John Lester has been through and had been through up until that very young part of a portion of his career. And he picked 16 years in the major leagues. And that in his third season was his only no hitter. And certainly a remarkable run of success from 2007 through 2011. He kind of fell off the cliff a little bit in 2012, but in 2000 and 9 he picked 6 and a third perfect inning striking out ten batters and 61 pitches through 6 innings and that was against the Texas Rangers who at the time in that season were leading the American League west. But you know when I when we talk about a guy like John Lester, obviously everybody understands what he went through early in his career overcoming cancer. And to me, that's a remarkable achievement in and of itself. But after 16 seasons, I think he belongs in the Hall of Fame. I think he's going to get there. And I think he's going to get there for that intangible that if you talk to any John Lester teammate of his over the years with the Red Sox, the cubs and the Cardinals, he was a very incredibly fierce competitor, Alex. Yeah, again, he was, I think, the thing about Lester's and I kind of said.

"Covering all things Boston sports. He's a great follow on Twitter. One of the things I love about Alex barth is you can really kill him for his passion. And his sometimes absurd hyperbolic takes on Twitter. But that is Alex barth. You should be following him at real Alex barth. He does a great job covering the Patriots, but he also does a great job of stand on top of other things, Boston sports, and that's what brings us to the Red Sox. Two big storylines we're going to get to in this Red Sox beat podcast. First of all, on Tuesday, a Red Sox legend retires from Major League Baseball and I don't think that's hyperbole. One of my very favorite words, John Lester, retiring from Major League Baseball after a terrific career, one with the, that's obviously started with the Red Sox. I think he's a Hall of Famer. Alex is based on his Red Sox career alone, but then he goes to Chicago with the cubs, starts game 7 there, wins the World Series with the cubs, of course, the cubs snap that incredibly long drought World Series drought dating back to 1908. And they broke that in 2016 in Cleveland a 108 year drought. And any finish up this past season with the Saint Louis Cardinals, he was part of that historic 17 game winning streak that got St. Louis into the wild card and got them into the postseason. So John Lester goes out of winter, your thoughts, Alex on John Lester's career. Yeah, well it's a damn shame I didn't get to spend more of it in Boston. I'll tell you that first and foremost. Everything you kind of want, you know, he wasn't the flashy ace. He wasn't Kershaw, got like that for a lander, but you felt good when he was on the mound. He was just a, I think, consistency is something we undervalue as sports fans and sports evaluators like maybe a guy's peak is so high, but you know how reliable are they John Lester? You pretty much knew what you were getting every time he took them out and he'd go out there and get on the mound. He started over 30 games. I believe every season of his career until this most recent one or for the most of his career, the early seasons, obviously interrupted, but to overcome cancer and then be that reliable physically. I think is really a testament to what he did. And I mean, a lot of people talk about Lester in the World Series and all that. I was actually at John Lester's no hitter. And it was a very cool moment for me as was I, I was in the press box covering it. Yes. So I was 2010, so I would have been like 16 years earlier than that. Let's go back. I think it was 2000 and 7. I believe it was 2007 against Baltimore. So I would have been 13. My Kansas City. Now I gotta look this up. Go ahead and continue. No, I think it was one of those buckles, one of those is Lester, Kansas. Anyway, Kansas City, I believe, is Lester. But I'm looking it up. Go ahead. Okay..

Then you have a cup final Homemade some not all of the same choices including putting my man reese james in the back three convince And chelsea one. I think in the end it was to wind. And you could say maybe you're gonna start at the end but i thought chelsea really really dominated the day. That was their god. They were after they were really fantastic at times. In the way they build up the movement away from the back under pressure at times. I still alice the plate for draw. And maybe i'm wrong. Maybe that's not. That was the idea. But he's certainly felt like that in in the team that selected with natural on the bench in the way they played in the weather priced. Look to me via merged lockheed. Very happy with that was fair well. Madison came in. So we can have madison. I thought was really poor. I don't think he's fully fit. Maybe no he's on your hard if you play for a draw to to have my against a team like this against him chetty like this to to to expect too much from madison. Nothing the upshot of all this is that we're set up for one of those end of the season kinda three way runs but three-way dances chelsea are playing away to aston villa. A win guarantees them. A champions league. Place is only going to be easy at all we'll get on to this lester. I'm liverpool liverpool beating burnley three now essentially if they both way and they're gonna finish level on points it's going to be decided by goal difference and liverpool now have an edge of four goals in the goal difference so so liver put up again chris perez. That's right liverpool roy. Hodgson his final his final game. He loved to put one over liverpool and less spurs. Who can still still have to play for your petty place. Yeah so clearly lester. Greatly advantage giving. Now just kidding kidding

"And it's always interesting people. i mean. think. Think nadine watching doctor dr. Yeah just you just see weird. People watching the show like people dressed up in cowboy hats or a nudie suits or somebody look like family this episode large family. They're all in the sofa and they're all eating the same thing on tv trays but they were but they look like nesting dolls is the tallest. One is on one side of burly guys. A couple of them like physically tur- their television set sideways. So it will sit upright so it'll sit there. I you see everybody when you see them out in the heartland watching tv you see them with their next cock. Because i don't know like old ladies old ladies and just people sitting watching the tv with their next cock. Because i don't know why they didn't fix the camera but they weren't able to fix the camera. Yeah so Take somebody could just ran over and lifted up. Maybe it's too heavy. I don't know maybe new. That's not in the fifties kidding. Get this so we start our episode of the less guy. Show lester guy is doing this. Little interpretive jazz dance to his theme song in what looks like a dark street corner. So who's got a hat. He's dancing around light close. That is not fully bolted into the ground so he goes to do a little singing in the rain thing where he leaves bids around the way post who promptly falls down to right from the start. It goes horribly restart. We've got a problem. They they cut it one of those. You please stand by. We're experiencing technical difficulties. Yeah and then. Of course so then the phone. Mr has a phone that goes a hotline production with which is essentially like the bat phone which is literally hot as it turns out so you know there at one point buddy budweiser answers. It just fire comes out of it. The receiver just like blasts and there's glass out fire so we've got we've got lester guy. He's been knocked out. So then what are episode is supposed to be as supposed to tragic. Love story of a A woman who's having an affair but the husband finds out and shoots the shoots the paramour the cuckold. He's a cuckold shoots air more. So what happens is that we're on stage and Betty who is hiring in her kitchen. There's just some guy there right during the live performances. During live performance if great guy rando guy and she is in leicester as opposed to be her paramour. He's supposed to come through the window so he's recovering for being unconscious. He's recovering from being unconscious. So what happens is she's telling you know ben he's trying to tell the guy to get off stage in at no but what happened but the reason why he can't leave is because for some reason he is stuck to the cabinets by his suspenders. So he goes to run off stage but then his suspenders snapping backwards. They're stuck in the door. It's so their second cabinet door suspenders. Propel him backwards through the window that lesser she essentially like a slingshot as lesser has just regained consciousness in his ready to go through the windows. Nasa guy lying at leicester so now this is tuned for to lester has been knocked down. Yes okay then. It's simply because of that snaps. The dog flies through the window. Yeah the reason snaps. The dog is window and so we're supposed to have dramatic music during this phone. Call that any supposed to get from her husband and of course because somebody has knocked. Blinky sound sound Walter essentially because he slammed his baton but in the control room in the controls move so the phone sounds like quacking duck. And there's you know she takes a phone call from her from her husband. Oh wait i forgot. Something goes flying through the window banning screens. Yes posing his cue. That is supposed to be birth right. Yeah so he comes in and start. The high caught you with another man. Apparently at this point you know in life performance because that guy is read another and there's nobody there in the kitchen besides betty at this point so slowly backs up back into the kitchen door and exits through. The deal is supposed to be. That's he's supposed to come in. After lester comes through the window. And they're professing egypt alum to each other. But that's so he's supposed to call betty. So what happens is is he calls betty but the phone rings and it's cracking right and he's like you know betty's line is where are you. It sounds you're calling from the lobby downstairs. Okay how would you be able to tell about whatever yeah. So he's with a you know how he's maybe she's. He's called her from the lobby before i don't know who knows. Yeah but he He's doing his best. Bird is not the greatest actor of and he's doing his best. He's saying you know i. Yeah okay. I was there momentarily moments ago to pick up some papers now. I know my office clear across town. And i won't be home until later but for whatever reason the staging think they're now supposed to take the fun out of the ticket out but with bert it. So yeah so. We got that going on. They're supposed to have Dramatic music right but it's some sort of little league jazzy scuffle music and then some nearly like old like detective movie detective the case type music in taking on the case music and it's supposed to be like a love theme but for whatever reason this detective on the case mood music cues like what looked like amazonian headhunters and a raft arizona or africa or whatever paddling fake paddling across the stage for no reason for not like i have no why they're there because it's obviously not their show commercials so it just makes no sense. It's just responding to that music for some reason. So lester guy.

"I could read a lot into that statement interesting interesting. Tell me about your mother. No let me tell you about my mother. Tell me in your own words. Only the good things you remember about your mother anyway yes. So let's let's get onto blinky watts. Who is the tracey walter character. Yes i absolutely adore. this is again. It's a ridiculous made up thing. that's completely nonsensical. Totally david lynch type of comedy blinking. Watts is the is the master sound effects technician. Yes but he suffers from fictitional disorder called boseman simplex and i could just say i don't mean they're up to you but could you say how much i love that. Little aside where we have a narrator says blinky. Watts is not blind. he's actions rosen. Simplex actually sees twenty five point six two times as much as we do. King is seeing right now. It would look something like this and then you see like four of toys. Like tribesmen toys. Only oven oven knits and like four versions of the person that is in the room. So you know he's one of those laws statue things. Yeah yeah so. The the problem is is that blinky soundboard has to be the absolute right position all the time because he knows where the switches are just by sort of looking at them way. So if you move it at all he's he's not gonna be able to. He's able to fix it right and they actually telegraphs gag. That happens later because there is a sign on the side of his control panel. Whatever then says you not do not move. This are precisely position for or whatever. Yeah and of course it gets moved during the chaos. Of course you're just live. Tv show right there is. He has an assistant. He's more like the super. He's more like the supervisor. Named mickey he's the guy who tells blinky which buttons to push he tells linking which buttons to push up. there isn't if there was an issue and The smelters juniors carried by the way johnson junior characters and then speaking of sides. We've got a rally in raymond friend as the hurry up twins right who again sight gag. That is funny because it's supposed to be funny because it's because it's unusual but the hurry up. Twins are a pair of conjoined twins who just walk around the set going. Hurry up hurry up and whenever you see them the narrator says hurry up twins it's not their only conjoined because hey they're like two guys. They're wearing a sweater. That fits over both of them. Exactly so what. What actor has like one arm around the waist or something and vice versa. They are twin brothers in real life but they are not conjoined twins. they're just wearing a giant sweater. that that's the gag. Yeah then of course we have irwin. Keyes who play shorty. The stagehand of course. It's a pud because he's a big dude. He's he's huge like seven feet tall right a. He's a. He's very good natured. But you know something risings always going go wrong on. Juries watch is episode involves a rather large bag of pots and pans that he struggles to mold onto at a very important moment so exactly exactly so and then. We got burt shine. Who is just kind of a little worm character actor playing gary. Gary grossman gear the actor. That plays bert shine yet. But here he plays andrew. The the husband of betty's character is right 'cause tonight on the lesser guy show. We have Lister guy show tonight is brought to you by welby snaps dog food gifts. Which there are the dog snaps. The dog refuses to eat so they have to tie string string around his neck and pull him down to the they feed the string through the dog bowl. And then attach it to the dog's collar. So i love the way the roof explains this. She's like yeah so so essentially we we we drag snaps against his will into to the dog ball to make him eat it exactly. So and that's another thing too. Is that every every week. We have a difference sponsor for the list of guys show tonight. It's welby snaps dog food so there's a shot later on that snaps actually vomits up the dog which is so david lynch right. He's all about vomit as we've learned especially in wild at heart it's wet. They'll say you bet if it's dry. Say omar mind if it's powder they'll barked water shelby snaps doctors. We'll play. Thank you very much so this is again back in the golden age of television where commercials were shot on the same sets as the tv show because it was all of online and you would have live to save studio studio. You'd have live tv going on and then off to the side they'd have somebody preparing a commercial. Then you cut over to the commercial which is where you get the dancing chesterfield's or Religious chesterfields where the dancing lucky strikes. I forget dancing cigarette packs things like that so and you would often have the star of your show giving the you know when i was doing the commercial less what. That's what guy does here because there's a a run through for for For miguel fares character buddy by waller so after they do the actual episode. There's they cut to the commercial. And you see guy changing his clothes putting it on a different blazer. Or what have you to do. The commercial accompanied by like four. You know Showgirl types general types in the background. Yes who's who's seeing the dog jingle. And so of course everything goes flawlessly during the rehearsal as soon as we go live everything goes crazy and go sideways. First of all one of the things. That's been happening. Mr macgonagall has been drinking coffee and shaking day. Yes just got coffees like my nurse. My nerves mr mcgonagall. And this is yeah. This is david lynch thing. Here but yeah. He's the producer so he's on the floor and he knows that he's he's all anxious about it so he he's got two cups of coffee one in each head yet any shaking so loud the coffee spills all over the floor the floor of course being a sound stage hardwood floor it it starts to work the hardwood and it kinda comes up right. What like when it goes live. Yeah basically buckles upward and is causes the camera with over in turn sideways nocco and we see russia sideways. Yeah bragging cyprus and during the show we see cuts to the american public watching the show.

don't listen and I know you get to the big stories of the day and I'm not to to not gonna miss you deserve before tribute but when I was working for him and you were for that matter Sunday nights were really rough I mean I would by Sunday morning but yeah I was like are you okay I'm like now what's the matter I'm not gonna miss tomorrow it added to the exiled only to knowing I mean you know that miserable with your folks out there don't get as you continue to the Tribune him and you love them and you miss it it's all great god bless he's great he's the best ever he maybe all of those things but working for him a completely different story we just put on these were brutal they were they were brutal it was part of the deal we know it I mean we have the option of it'll cutting and running but we didn't and that's fine it's all good I just wanted to point out the fact that today is the first day of Monday and it's not so bad to us as it is to a lot of the our listeners and all the kids that went back to school and the kids I gave you went back to school today there is no school there right now in the classrooms the teacher right now is speaking for the first time in there like go away can I get a list of that is that each is no deadly are teaching them that were in World War three as my daughter woke up the other day well we're in World War three all nervous and I'm like we lack all my kid this what did you do when your Christmas vacation that's a that's a sim well one three what one three is going to come from China China China is the biggest threat China's not even Russia Russia doesn't even have the capability to to give us that kind of trouble China is the that is the the entity that the country that we should be worried about a raid array and is a really a pimple on our S. really but who side with China take if it was between China and Iraq this in China buys a lot of the oil from Iran so I mean when when people talk about unintended consequences and think spiraling out of control I mean I don't know how much of a percentage of the oil that they buy comes from Iran how much they depend on it but they do by most of the oil is born from Iran is bored by China so they on Iran side they would day they would they they would be on a rant about Russia but but but see the one doing the Russian Russia sells their own this is what I worry about rushes on a rant side is when it comes to the Middle East they are aligned let's get the vision they look we're not against one yeah you got so much going on on Long Island island every day we do something about it caught getting shot we have exactly you got terrorism as thirteen walking down the street you want about China and Russia you live in a war zone basically sure that's true yeah you you well this bill reform all these you will understand let's be honest feel we live in beautiful our name nice fly it's safe community we really do we do let me there you read about some of these places but every week every day Long Island has something going on maybe we are separated from that we are very much so you want does not touch up William it now she's right there no no no she's about I live she's a far away from you don't have a clue to full place Huntington nope Farmingdale nope Kelly mentioned yeah I just hate for them in a little village near cal harbor north port for something I'm not not really not the water were separated don't try to try to buy a house tell me yes it's fine the prices are exorbitant death the list we live in very nice neighborhood so anyway but this is no threat right now with the war to have a war with China and Iran whatever they do to us if they read retaliate and probably be something locally maybe they had there's never been an actual and Iranians Shiite terrorist attack in the United States that I know of no there's not been one they've all been on the other side the SUNY's and the city's she attendees of the whatever so anyway here's the thing about this whole yesterday a rack this is the kind of appreciation they have actually voted they voted in a rack to kick out the you United States troops meanwhile we squeeze we actually liberated them from the SUNY guy Saddam Hussein which was a told stupid mistake because he was the guy who is at odds with Tehran with the Iranians he they hated each other they had a war in the eighties which killed tens of thousands of people if the hundreds of thousands it was brutal it was disgusting but anyway just a few months ago a couple months ago the president with drool from the Syria Iraqi border and some of these people were freaked I come believe that all my god he's pulling out he's leaving people hang and listen to what they said I would not ever thrown the troops and would not have drawn the additional thousand troops for Iraq yesterday on the floor three hundred and fifty four members loaded in a bipartisan way to oppose the president's dangerous decision made by two zero so that was the sentiment and that's the that was the Biden pelo see all my god he's pulling out he's leaving again leaving people hanging in the next you have I believe it's Liz Warren and a couple of others now that he's escalating well that's a bad thing to president's decision may add to an already dangerous and difficult situation in the Middle East we're going to end up in an escalation a military escalation around the world they have taken a step that moves us closer to war the staff everyone risk to the guy can't win he tried to avoid big be having our troops involved in some sort of conflict when the Turks came over the border into Syria any was slaughtered by is loaded over it because of these these the rain sick people who always traditionally were against you know escalation and now that he's escalating they've gone the other way anything he does is wrong and of course he killed the guy a well documented and everybody knows this but it's it is what's what everyone's talking about this guy was the bin laden he was the Baghdadi of the Shiites and yes he was the differences he was a state guy he was he was he was a general wear as they were that they were not stateless actors and they will bona fide terrorist while he was a terrorist to the E. U. a actually annoyed to it or not I'm going to do but named the Iraq war the Iran revolutionary guard as a terrorist organization E. you did so the day you end so the general Odierno Obama's general the chief of staff back in twenty fifteen and of course so did the trump administration so they this guy was a bona fide he's got blood on his hands and the best the exchange that I heard was this guy Brett bear he's on TV with Dana Perino any leads up to and view he did with Mike Pompeii who's the secretary of state it will like this he was essentially the wizard of oz of Aronian terrorist attacks he had his fingers in a lot of things across the world really in Syria in Lebanon in a rock and even in Afghanistan India I asked secretary of state Pompeii about him specifically back in an interview in April take a list so we as a country as a country have a policy to target him more captured Qassem Soleimani has the blood of Americans on its hands bright as does the force that he leads in America is determined each time we find an organization institution or an individual that has taken the lives of Americans it is our responsibility it's indeed president trump's duty and we have made tremendous progress in this administration's first two years to reduce the rest that any American will be killed by Qassem Soleimani and his merry band of brothers ever again so the quisling's on cable news and the politicians like Schumer pelo see bullshit fender that so sniveling weasel Max Rosen they would rather give aid and comfort to the enemy and that's what they're doing when they oppose the president on this giving aid and comfort to the enemy they giving credit to the guy who avenge the death the deaths of hundreds of American soldiers including the ones who died in the the barracks the marine barracks bombing back in the eighties that this guy was a part and parcel of who directed this guy who's been around for a long time he's got the blood of not only Americans but thousands and thousands of middle easterners but forget them Americans and these quisling's again would rather give these people the benefit of the doubt give them aid abet and aid them give them words of consolation because they like to hear that the president is being opposed on his back at home and they're doing it and it really is sickening one eight hundred eight four eight W. "And a caddy and the best thing you said when we came up and who was like, hey, man, how you doing? And you response was on here playing golf that easy. Sometimes right. It can't be it can't be get out of the we've had a bad winter up there in Atlanta this year raining all that stuff. So I haven't been able to get out hunting and fishing and golfing as much as I would have liked to get down here. Even though it's a little cold outside golfing. So it's all good. How many more outings do you have before you? Really start to lock in and get ready for spring training coming up. I got a little bit. I've been working out pretty much since November Fogo so Mefin good with where I'm at probably need to pick up the throne a little bit, you know, as far as intensity wise in the next couple of weeks. But. I feel good man played catch. You know, probably what was it about a week ago? And it actually felt pretty good for the first time. For that first week. I was like man, this is actually isn't bad. So it's been going. I always thought bow hunting it would help a little bit. That's that's not we talked still. It kills me. I didn't get to come up and do a little bow hunting. You're always welcome. You just gotta holler. Let me know. But it so we I don't bow hunt as much because I got my kids now. So they wanna go sit in a stand with me and do all that. So we take the we take the rifle out there. But we have a good time up there. It's fun, especially now that my oldest son. He's eight he killed his first oh last year got another one this year. So he's he's fired up. I I it's cool. It's you know, what it's it's hard because I'm so safety conscious. I'm more worried about what easy. Yeah. What he's doing as opposed to actually the deer. This year was was was crazy because I had my middle kid with us too. So he's he's five. So we had five and eight in there with me. And I'm just like, it's it's a cluster, but. So, but it's good. It's a good feeling when when they get excited for it was first outdoor sport for John Lester, wasn't hunting fishing or Gulf outdoor sport was probably baseball. Oh. Probably phishing. I grew up fishing in the north west. That was my my dad didn't hunt. I'm getting him into the hunting now. So I got to see him kills I buck and all that stuff. So it was cool, but probably fishing, and then golf as I got older who got you into Gulf by dad and my grandpa and my dad's dad, my dad's dad was left handed, so he'd he'd take me to the driving range and try to give me the lefty pointers and helped me out. So yeah, those two my dad would always take me in the summer when we had time. And there was a little recourse read it from our our house, and he dropped me off there in on his way to work and pick me up on the way back, and I'd just walk around that nine holes of bunch and and have phone Gulf was with you from when you were little then. Yeah. I mean, it was and I played it. And I I enjoyed it. But I really didn't start kind of getting into it and trying to get better at it until probably I got to pro ball and probably really the big leagues. And then you got Josh Beckett. And wait. 'field taking out you gotta you gotta start playing. Well, you can't be throwing up. They was talking. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Everybody says baseball club houses, one of the most competitive places for the go. Oh, yeah. So we, you know me being young..

"By John Lester Lester, ensure one. Hi, welcome back. Badger tuning in today. Talking a little bit about the border. I played a clip from Charlie Kirk who was talking about the three reasons we need it. I number one. What's coming over the border is hurting our country, right? And built upon of course, contributing to the empire that we call the deep state. So no wonder no wonder we're still talking about it in two thousand nineteen money source, and then Secondly, because it's not fair to those who have actually gone through the vetting process that the founders were very much adamant about that there be a vetting process. So that we adopted the correct ideology about America. And that we understand as becoming an American citizen that you are taking on America that you truly love America that you want to uphold what what what is supposed to be our Republic and then Thirdly sovereignty and that that does define a country. If you're living on the border of Mexico and the United States, which laws would you want to apply to you? Which governing document. Would you want to apply to you? If something happened. I would want the United States side. So therefore, it is it is very apparent that. There is a line drawn to which to which my rights would be identified and somewhat protected right by the governing document of the land that I'm a citizen of and there's not a there's not an issue. I would think that there wasn't a big issue with that that people wouldn't have an issue with that. I some libertarians.
