"Did you want to leave or I mean, did you have the possibilities of going anywhere in the country? Well, yeah. I had my mother back at the time. I collected all my letters from different colleges. We had a shopping bag a shopping bag full of letters. Okay, but I decided to stay here in Chicago because you know, I'm coming from public housing units and and you know, my father didn't keep up, you know a good career for himself, you know, he drank a lot and I decided to go ahead and say here to help my mother out with my brother and sister. So Chicago who was some of the toughest teams. I know you mentioned Jim Jones at Marquette Jim Coleman Marquette. The Bill Walton used to come in town Wichita State back. Then you'll pardon. How did you do against those players? I do pretty well. I do pretty well overall. I do pretty well, but my my record speaks for itself 1972 comes and now they're talking about picking players and your thoughts and going into that draft that year you were there with dr. J. You there Macado's just to name a few months thoughts. I was very very pleased. I kept reeling I'm a very low-key guy. I didn't let that go to my head or anything. I was happy when I got drafted by the dealership a real soon as the number one draft towards if I'm not mistaken people know that either that's what the old lady but I went where the money was guaranteed at at the time important had you know the dog Money after okay and so you end up getting being drafted by the Portland Trailblazers and your career didn't go all the way that you thought it would go off. Let me ask you something kind of go take the next step forward if you had to do it over again just in your mind. Would you rather have been drafted later or would you would be are you okay with whatever would happen? I think later I think later because I tell you what being the number one song of choice. You got a big zero on your back. Everybody's looking for you to produce and of course we practice day in and day out and I did very well in practice up coming down reality. You could play against your team mates all the time, but you want to get the experience, you know, the experience of playing against other from different teams. And I think at the most playing time the only time I got a little playing time, that's when Lenny Wilkens was to play a coach back then in my third year..

"Mike Malone, I think is a terrific coach. He was here when he was younger. Um, with the Cavs. I mean his father briefly. Was the interim coach of the calves and also was on the Brandon was on the coaching staff for a number of years. So is terrific to see that I'd love to see a team like that win it. Because they aren't you know, it's not like word is LeBron go. Therefore, that team goes to the finals. I mean, Jack, you know, realized now nine in the last 10 years, LeBron is taking a team to the final. Yeah, it's pretty remarkable when I think of that. Yeah, it's just now you're getting the kind of built Russell territory granted rough lick of winning it, too, but Um, you know that. That's why I would just love to see a team such as Denver, a team that I look at and see, but they have a bunch of nice players and good players, but it's not just Superstar driven and believing that's not to take away from LeBron. I mean, I saw him first play when he was 14. Because he's from the area here, but nonetheless I love the Nuggets and what Malone and they do, and it's just hard that when you're in that area, sometimes you get frustrated because you can't get all the way to the finals and win it, you know, and you lose sight of how good your team is. You mentioned the castor when they had Lenny Wilkens and Brad Doherty and Mark Price. They were like the Nuggets in that regard. You know that a big man that could pass and play. There's a beautiful basketball to watch a zip Eurest. I love those teams. Finally, in the last two million minutes or so, here in what has happened, Terry Terry Blue dove from Cleveland dot com and Terry's website Terry Pluto's dot com In the pandemic and the social unrest and all the things going on. You do a lot of writing Terry about faith, and I know I you've gotto be pressing the issue of how faith is probably needed Maurer than ever now in this country. Remember, you know people who do it. That's what they like. But I remember a number of years ago when I was dealing with my father stroke and a lot of things that In my personal life that were really tough. And you know, I had a friend of mine who actually owned the meat business. He wasn't a priest or anything, and he was a Vietnam vet, and he kind of challenge me to read the Bible. Little bit said Can't we'll get to know Jesus is and that And we're talking back and forth. Kind of over a couple of months are going he said, Terry, finally, you gotta make decide either You're gonna go through this vest with God or without God. But either way, you're gonna face a lot of mess a lot of challenges. And it was something that really resonated with me. And you know, we are an emotional and spiritual battles by the pandemic brings that out. You know why there's so much rage and so many things. And if we just try to fight it on the you know, as they would say, in earthly level, or whatever. I mean, how many? You know how many tranquilizers you're gonna take, and this is not falling. People who are, you know, have to take medication and I have many friends are doing they should But if that's the only thing the only weapon you using, and unfortunately I've been doing jail Ministry for 22 years weekly until the pandemic shut it down. You know 80% the guys that are in there. Across addicted and everything and their deal with broken hearts and broken relationships. And, you know, growing up with all kinds of social ills. Uh, so I just think it cries out for faith. You know, faith on the ground level on that's kind of what I write about. Well, any rights also well with it, Terry, Thanks for the time to visit today again, Terry pluta dot com is his website. You can also read, um on Cleveland dot com. Keep up the great work, my friend and hopefully on the back side of this pandemic will get the chance to across Patterson person again. And I'm wrote, I guess had written really hard for the Nuggets. So take care. All right. Thank you. That's Terry Pluta. Our guest and a ZAY mentioned 30 plus books by Terry and the Faith books are as compelling as the great sports books he has written through the years, especially check out loose balls if you like basketball. "You can add one or two. You move someplace fine. But when you can that that's gotta be the team You love for life, and so for me was Seattle SuperSonics and that was Before the sea Oxford around that there was a major league baseball not like the Mariners have done a whole lot of here anyway, but That that reality was the Sonics and and that team that we put together. Building at the 79 out of 50% of your listeners are going 79. I was being alive, buddy. But you know, there was Jack Sigma and the whole the starting backcourt. Gus Williams and Dennis trumps and DJ We lost the championship. In that 78 79 Washington Bulls came back the next year and 79 we win it. And we have a parade in Seattle. Now, this is where the story gets good, My mom. Has not let anybody skip school in the Calero household for 20 years. You know, here I am the eighth child of 16. Everybody goes to school every day. Nobody gets sick and bad tells you you're not sick. Go to school. No, we just keep on going to school. Sonics win the championship. My mom says, Do you want to go to the parade? And there I am now, uh, in 79, a sophomore in high school, and she takes my youngest brother out with who was just like, you know, he's by the time I'm 16. He's probably only you know, 88 years old. And she gets two of us throws us in the back The van we drive down Seattle and I'm sitting there watching Stanek parade with my little brother on my shoulders and skip school and that that was about his biggest Catholics in there was on the planet Earth, and I gotta do that. And I tell him I think my mom is a go. That was the greatest thing you ever did in my life. It dad that memory and watch that watch that team go by in the cars and the head coach. Was Lenny Wilkens. Then I got to go to basketball camp later on something that that's it. It's um I mean, I was locked in from that point on, you know, it's hard for me to play other sports was a basketball fanatic. From that point on, I played fresh and football and ransom cross country and, you know, I dabbled around two things in junior high, but it was basketball and then ultimately, when I was a high school coach, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to be around basketball people all the time, so I got into college game. Yes, because I want to coach basketball 365 days a year just known that that I heard once that a farmer is a farmer every day because the crops need attention, and the cows the milking. Isaac, You know, it's a vassal coach kind of this your your coach every day. You think about the came every day about the players every day, Five of that, And now that I'm a happily retired guy, and there's a There's a few other things I missed out on the last 50 years, So I'm enjoying some of those things now. And and and and love in that part of life as well. There you go. Great stuff. Joe Clara joining us here, Coach show Clear. Always wants the coach. Always the coaches. You said, Yeah. You're you're thinking about it, even retirement. You were going to get another, You know, early retirement, come down to Vegas and see the other side. And I've been part of that other side for a long time. I mean, me and my buddies back in Jersey. We're betting on games and were in elementary school for the love of God and picking games and that, of course, high school got a little more serious, but, you know, made it out to the West Coast. And so many great people I've met along the way. And David Janine is actually introduced me to a bunch, Dave, Of course, hey, always talked about, you know his days account, Polly slow how we barely made it grade wise, so that he was eligible to play. And, of course, his big claim to fame is that he hit the first three pointer and Cal Poly slo history against Boston College. And then he, of course tells me they went on a 23 to 2 run right after he hit that three. But nonetheless, how did you get to know David they need and by the way, coach because you and I talked earlier, and I got on him a little bit. I said, you know, do you mean it's just like, you know, you shoot and and Brad Restituto and I, You know Brad was a regular on the show, and we were there at this 24 hour fitness off Tropicana and watched Indian hit 43 of 44 threes from wing to wing. And just unbelievable. The guy could miss it is this is like it's seven in the morning for the love of God, like who's ready to shoot at that time, But he's got his little Woody Harrelson stretching drills and all this crap and it's unbelievable. So you know there. I'm talking to you. And you're like, Well, yeah, well, we had this. You know, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. You know, alumni thing, get together and and didn't need any. And he was just you know, he wasn't hitting. Well, he came back. And you told me you tell Coach Joe that I took second in that three point shooting contest. Okay? They don't get trophies for second place. Huh? I love maybe they did up in the bay area where he was from now, Maybe everybody gets a trophy. No, actually do need was not like that. He wouldn't take a trophy unless he won. And I told you that he did beat Eddie O'Bannon in the Buffalo wild wings shoot out and was like, really windy, like when it was windy day, But he was the most technologically sound guy as far as you know, fundamentally sound and the bank shot here in the bag and you had to call bank if you didn't call bank..

Like breaking news year on the Ryan Newman podcast. I don't mind. I would break it right here. If. There's any degrade, but. Oh the other book and I'll Scott Muster. Here that I really enjoy was forty eight minutes with Terry Pluto and Don't know that was a book in which we kindly used. The word appropriated rather than stole reappropriated a Daniel Och Rinse nine innings book that he wrote in Nineteen. Eighty three about one orioles. Brewers game at the end of the near the end of the season, in which they went play by play by play, and with all the back stories of the people involved you know and everything and a baseball game from different angles and I got a phone call from an all. Time Terry Pluto who I know, known rhetoric legal, and and he said he was now a new guy on the beat with the cavaliers eighty six eighty seven season, he switched over for baseball basketball, and he was, and he had this idea of do same idea for basketball. And I said well. It's a more fluid game. Plays and you've got exchanges and possessions, but it's not quite the millennial. Congressional. But yeah, maybe we could well long story short we did. I'll give him credit for his idea. And we. We had we opportunities. We had to be the cavaliers in Celtic defending champion that year, and he had ears, and they had grabbed already remarked Christ. Rod Harper Hot Rod Williams they had young dynamic team on the move and and Lenny Wilkens his first year coaching them, and they were going to be in Boston, once in Harvard once, and we decided we wanted to gain to be boss not Cleveland. Well January sixteenth, nineteen ninety-seven Friday night. You're come to cavaliers. And, that's going to, and we're going to see how the game goes. If the game does it if it sucks, in is not. Into and no drama. There's no anything I will take another shot. You know later the year. That's not come in well that night. Hit the Jackpot and M Jackpot of first of all. The. Terry was plugged in with the team, but I point and cavs, how to make a transition that day transaction at day and the transportation? Side Craig Hilo sure. I and he was in with Wayne embry about how came about then he was flagged the trainer and the trainer was so funny. He hated the Celtics. He hated garden. He swore that they turn the heat up in a shower off the medical, a bought all that stuff you know and any was spewing venom, because when he was part of the story right okay. The my part, I got the defending champion Celtics bird at his peak I got Mikhail of his greatest cease got hurt is absolute greatest season. Kicking Button January of.

gables ever text me this many times in one day Todd Jones is texting me one of the the great writers in the history of Cincinnati northern Kentucky sports over the years a Kerry colds is texting me I I Doug Jones I agree on what I just tweeted about Lenny Wilkens Lenny Wilkens a hall of Famer I spelled his name wrong I should have done that I sixteen points a game seven assists per game as a player nine time all star thirteen hundred and thirty two wins as a coach he had a rating wondering as a coach and at one point upon his retirement was the all time leader in wins in NBA history I don't I don't know what the be a stretch to say what was he was on like the the the fifty greatest players of all time list so either he would be really good to player great coach so that that's pretty good that's getting up near the top on both those categories I tweeted Lou Piniella Lupin L. was a rookie of the year he was an all star the playing numbers underrated the the plate numbers a little bit late compared to manager manager there three times he won a ring one eighteen hundred games that he had a hundred sixteen win season with the mariners had a ninety seven when the season with the cubs get a ninety win season with the Yankees many guys won ninety four games with three different teams that leads us to dusty because dusty's had success along those lines I'll give you I'll give you another one I'll give you an old school one well I'll give you a time game a lot for me before he walks in the building of Phil Jackson now fills a player lesser is a player certainly because it's hard to tie a tardy to equate to winning eleven championships as a coach but coach of the year eleven NBA ratings as a coach wondering is a player in nineteen seventy three next I would I would say the Phil was a what would we say good player what I what I wouldn't go so far as to say very good player good feels a little bit beat before my appreciation so I'd say a good player great coach I think we get somebody who moves their scale up to more even let's let's go here well let me get some support here because I don't like stealing his candidate but I think you can back me up on this at least in great minds think alike in Oxford John Lenny Wilkens makes sense doesn't it yeah I mean I'll tell you what I remember when I was a little kid he was a baller and then you know with that seventy error the supersonic you might think that won the NBA title yes like seventy six or something yeah yeah like what was the Jack segment what that would mean DJ Dennis Johnson on that team right correct and policy there was another guy Paul Silas you know what lance I got another basketball god for it think it could be the greatest combo player coach in the history of college basketball John wooden don the greatest player of his time at Purdue I believe yes yeah all American absolute yeah he said a lot of records in the big ten and and then you know of course the rest is history thank you thank you I like that little these different names popping up here how about well I hesitate to use I'll give you one only one when I did my initial list I didn't have any money I thought we might have to leave doc rivers off his doc rivers as a player heck of a player in all star made the playoffs is the coach still still coaching NBA title coach of the year but doc was a I I'd say really good player I wouldn't call doc rivers a great player though what we called a great coach though all that slice the I'm doing with my hands I'm doing kind of a slide scale here with my hands trying to to balance out the guy who moves up to the top close it up in in both of those how about here in cellphone Chad you're on seven hundred WLW and I don't know if you've noticed but if you look at it that he was not even NBA champion as a player the military military car parking Kentucky with a unanimous player of the year of course NBA you got lots of rain check if you're not o'toole year had died yeah he's a five time champion a three time because here is one executive here I mean like I said if you look at his stats client code number was retired by Kentucky was that he could fire the year is the first team all American third team all American and also wondering if the players of the game that's not bad that's not bad check Chad thank you Chad you said something now I have to consider a because he's including Kentucky because my initial thought on Pat Riley was as a player he was he was okay he was a role player Pat for his career average seven points in the NBA but if we and I I haven't set up the parameters so you get to decide the parameters if we include college which I eyes I haven't said is not fair game obviously then that changes things Todd Jones still texting away Frank Robinson he offers I've got Todd Jones in Kerry colds and and Tom if we could do we could do like a zoom tonight B. Todd Jones Kerry calls a top gamble on assume just throwing out names and arguing about their greatness so if we did the college angle on this is a player then that changes the dynamics of all of this and I would be remiss if I went to the break without mentioning Larry Bird yes Larry Bird well I I don't need to make his case as a college player or an NBA player it certainly stands on its own Larry Bird won coach of the year Larry Bird one executive of the year now my parameters is coach manager not front office guy necessarily but he took what he took a team to the NBA finals did he not so that's pretty good Todd Jones now sending me a mo Jeez up comes up with a beer so now it makes me want have a beer we could do is soon tonight the four of us while drinking beer about that Andrew Scott please deflected Nick and Richard how did all this start all all I give full credit to Mike decourcy because he wrote about FC Cincinnati's coach and the idea of how we're conditioned to believe in North America all great players meet it all time great player means little it in terms of the relation to their ability to be successful as a coach or as a manager you can be outstanding and how you play the game it doesn't necessarily translate to being outstanding and how you coach or manage the game so I've always thought well then who would we consider the best match for that category six more calls we continue arnelle Kerrier sports talk presented by Kelsey Chevrolet on seven hundred WLW traffic and weather news radio seven hundred W. "Today it's a somber news and that is the passing of a NBA legend Jerry Sloan the former Chicago Bulls player was a two time NBA all star a four time all defensive first team member has his number retired by the Chicago Bulls and then also as a banner in Utah for his career wins as he was the head coach of the Utah Jazz from nineteen eighty eight to two thousand and eleven and he has one thousand two hundred and twenty one career wins as a head coach that is fourth all time in front of him Gregg Popovich Lenny Wilkens and then don Nelson Jerry Sloan did pass away at the age of seventy eight after a battle with Parkinson's and earlier today we did hear some audio from some of his former players let's start things off with John Stockton this courtesy of KSL TV as John Stockton does recall Jerry Sloan's intensity as a coach he was really good I mean my young in my career to be more of a leader be more assertive being more vocal on the court and so the next game and up to the game was a going away and so I stepped up all the time out for our team so I wouldn't get away from us and when I got to bed I was greeted rather rudely by coach Sloan he thought he was the only one that you call a time out deflated my bubble little bit I thought I was doing what I was supposed to be doing he said now do you want to coach this team which means do you want to fight the coach of this team so I I declined you know how many great moments Jerry Sloan has as a head basketball coach and you look back at the Utah Jazz teams and obviously it's been documented now and brought back up from the last dance at ninety seven ninety eight and how close they were specially ninety eight in that game sex were stocked in hits that three but some up by three before Jordan and gets that the two and then the.

I used to get terrible email man. You didn't offend us like man you don't build arenas in San Diego and Seattle Teams. Leave the way it is with these owners. Like it League's League's blame the League. Don't blame the owner if the league care the NFL could have easily said. We're GONNA keep the chargers and San Diego we're going to give them a no interest loan for seven hundred million dollars. The League could have kept the chargers in San Diego. Do you think of the Philadelphia. Eagles wanted to Philadelphia. The League would go. Yeah go ahead bud. L. No if the cowboys in Dallas the League would be like no going leads control this stuff they could give no interest loans or one percent loans or whatever they wanna give and give you seven hundred million dollars. Everybody wants to blame the owner. But if I own a sporting team and I can make double what I can make it another market. You wouldn't consider it if I if I dealt with some local politicians. Federal politicians were yeah. What about local politicians? And if you get a bad local politician or a mayor Senator and he's roadblocking you and you're like I can go to this other city actually sell out my stadium. They'll get better luxury situations. What about loyalty fans are loyal fans? Don't show up the teams bad players. Leave the team isn't good. I mean you gotta get over the loyalty part but leaks could always say franchises. Yankees will never be allowed to leave New York. If Tampa wanted to leave tomorrow. Baseball would be like what we can't see anything down there. I have no idea what just happened. They're gone joy.

LA I don't remember that he may have you know Ron was a very good player and very confident player and I love coaching camps but we we had defensive scheme set up you know and I want it Craig eagle who have been playing very well for us to stay up on him and you know although Craig took a step the wrong way because he thought he said they were going to pass the ball into the low post and that Michael got free but current group coverage and was right there and Michael didn't make an easy shot he made a tough shot that's a point we've we've been making you're going he made like this on human shot right I mean you know it's just a series of spending an error and letting you all fly by him seem to hang forever yeah forever you just seem to be there like he was stuck on something very well then made the adjustment with the shot we just some kinda all right I'm gonna put a little more juice on this and he fired up there no one in mazing I will consider that's this morning by the guys and he has been away thinking about it now should you have or would you like to have done it differently with Harper on Michael I don't know I I you know like I said you know we were a good defensive team will one of the top defensive teams in the league at the time and certainly you know you you've you've got to give Michael credit he made a incredible shot over Craig and you know but what people forget a lot is the play before that when we were down by one we set up a back door plays and evil was the guy who scored and maybe we scored too quickly the fact that gave them one more second but you know or else it wouldn't of county so so you know to still look back you can you can always that could have done this because I've done that ice I thought the judgment we made was good by the way Lenny Wilkens eighty two how about it still going strong oil price still sounds sharpen together going strong right but nobody recalls this so you know this was Ron Harper just been sitting out all these years was Ron Harper thinking that he never really said it but now thirty years later it's kind of giving you say oh yeah I told coach put me on Michael I could guard him yeah memories have a tendency to goal Hanya you talk about Russia's efforts things you thought the things actually said are two different things there you go I go back and look at games and I. G. try to remember conversations you're having on the sidelines and what you're doing back then and I'm just talking about your early nineties you know why we did certain things against certain teams and I remember talking but I can't remember absolute specifics about it you know why one guy did why they moved Reggie inside that kind of stuff yeah you know usually we get it it works so whatever we're doing we're doing it right and then you try to remember and it's not always there a hundred percent at the end of the day the defense was still really good and they tried even deny that Mike was it I think it was was a bread board of somebody who was you guys there right I kind of you know just looking at Michael with his back to the in bounder just sort of shadowing where Michael is going to go I mean everybody knew where the ball was going right yeah we're just trying to do whatever they could do deny him the ball Michael was able to free himself though and that was the key obviously and he quickly I knew that my tummy quickly took well I don't know one or two dribbles problems all I needed I went across the free throw line yeah exactly but you go up there but they had I mean yeah you you could see what the plan was was to try to deny him the ball like when Michael is just able to free himself I was watching some of the ninety eight conference finals last night for a little bit they were playing game two and it was remarkable that whole series of people remember watch Scotty guard mark Jackson and it brought everybody back to ninety one when Scotty was guarding magic and how it kind of changed some things in that series reasonable sort of always attributed although I I'll be honest with you the bulls pretty much dominated the Lakers in that series even the game they lost Europe when the bulls lost game one I they were right there to win Michael even said it the other night you know they even played out while they were still right there it took a Sampark inst three right I I think it's for Iraq and with like fourteen seconds left for the Lakers to win that game in two of the four bowls wins the bulls actually beat the snot out of the way because they ran out in those games they ran away from home I mean they really did dominate that series with people always said once the switch was made and and Scotty started guarding magic at all virtually all ninety four feet that kind of change things in there was candy again in that series against Indiana then seven years later doing it to mark Jackson and I and I was watching it last night and it was almost every possession where Scotty and it takes a lot of you know mental and and physical dedication I think to play a game like that where you're constantly hounding and harassing the other team's point guard the whole way up the floor and it's gonna be a grind on the opposing point guard but there was gonna be doing it but the one thing that and I know what for a younger audience probably we sound like we're beating a dead horse but you just you you can't believe if you're not used to if you if you never stop acting you can't believe how physical you were allowed to be I mean the way my it with the way Scott he could get his body into him you know kind of get his hand up get his body in them that's not just not allowed anymore news it's incredible to think that they were allowed to guard that way back then it's a reminder I guess for all of us and you go wow man remember those days and then for a younger generation they look at it maybe like you gotta be kidding I mean that wasn't right rights where's the fun none of that was allowed back then it is not it is a lot of that excuse me I mean it's it's crazy the other thing I can't get over the graphics these big graphics and everything you're doing now right you didn't have to crawl on the bottom though you have data that you're looking for more information on the bottom there's no information on the bottom no none of it I Carmen Electra was on the station yesterday boy you gotta ask Miller Tyler asked Miller where the moan as they isolated the mon did you hear the mon your call I did not hear the module asked Miller real quick voice where the moan is and then they started planted side by side the Paula Faris the famous Paula Faris moan and Paul had a moan yeah you remember that was Polemon about give Miller in here I know he's a germaphobe he didn't want to get too close to Tyler probably Tyler from the board right now another play yeah the Moen side by side there's midway Jeff Miller and played both of them the karma lecture let out a good a good morning that's Thursday which one who is that you guess I do it again aw that's Carmen Electra you know your mon Sir how played qualifiers oh god both of them I don't know it's a moan off your sure to that if I was doing connected Mrs magician eggs not rip open the envelope go to sounds Randi Marcon is.

"Dylan the week, doc wondering DACA coach. And now people are talking about him being coached the year. I wonder if doc is turning into the new Lenny Wilkins, right where Lenny Wilkens, I give him five dues off the street and they'll win fifty games. Aggie. Give him the eighty three. Sixers and they win fifty games. Maybe it has evolved into because he got a championship. You know, we had a little run made as what he's evolved into. I have no idea, but this is going to be fun angry, but it's going to be miserable. 'cause I don't know what kind of playoff watcher you are. But I try to watch as many of the west coast games as I can. And that means it's like those first three weeks or so of the offs like especially for we started eliminating people. Oh my gosh. So miserable. 'cause I'm so sleepy. That was the word I was going to use to describe it miserable miserable in that month of time. The only thing that's good is the basketball. Yes. Everything else is awful it every night. But I'd ease. You got any idea to go especially with the Milwaukee with all those injuries? Well, if the are able to get Malcolm brogden back that could do something for the bucks. I think they got another four to six Zona. Yeah. Playoffs starting what like three weeks? So mean, if they can get through their first round match up getting back to the second round. I think they came about brogden sneaky, fifty forty ninety guy is you know, that had my fancy teams did you're you're very aware of these things it didn't mess up your situation when he did it killed my situation as in the playoffs, and I was like up. There goes my my playoff run. There's pot of money for this year, fun cool. Thanks, malcolm. Dale, there's e-. You're welcome. He says forgetting planner fasciitis he was thinking about you the whole time. He didn't wanna let down the team by the team. I mean your team team laugh track. Yes. I've look the Celtics are going to be hilarious. Right. If nothing else either going to be really good or is going to be hilarious. Purely again purely out of spite I do hope they get bounced in the first round. Wow. You hate this other like that? Well, I'm just interested in in seeing disarray and chaos when it comes to Boston's or seems and namely the Celtics. So if it ends up being that they get bounce in the first round is they're not going to be chaos and panic in Boston here for a great job. Great for business. Yes. Be amazed for business. Yeah..

Go back to nineteen eighty three eighty four with with assist, which I'm I don't know why. But I'm looking at the highest assists total in college basketball history for single season is held by. A man who is still coaching. Hander. Paulie, not Lenny Wilkens. No. It's terrible. Guests not terrible now. But he was a great point guard. This guy has two of the top three all time single season assists marks since one thousand nine hundred five this is college a played probably twelve years in the NBA ten twelve years in the NBA. I believe he's still coaching. I saw I saw his shooting up close. Big ten player. Avery johnson. Yeah. We had our showdown in Dallas when we shot against one another..

Second thought that's the danger the dangerous shore you could make a deal with any now. And then Jason Tatum Wentz finals MVP guys. I don't know about this datum anymore. And so now the Boston package may not be what it could be a lot less for the Lakers package goes to Koby. You know, if I'm Dem's and USA. Hey, do you want to pair do box and Brandon Ingram and who's MMA and Lonzo ball would do this rambling? What I hear? Hey del resolve that would you like seventeen eighteen Lakers. We saw that that doesn't move my needle. So to say that Toronto's pack, it somehow would not match up to either of those. I don't know. I don't know. That's quite the case. It doesn't. I haven't heard super superstar for superstar trade for anti man. What are you nineteen eighty-seven this? It's not happening. And if you're if you're the pelicans, it's like what what what am I really doing here? I mean, not only not happening the pill. Location want that to happen. You want to be bad after this? Because there's no way you weren't good with him any of the top by player. You think you're gonna superstar and somehow he's going to do different? No. This is something that needs to rebuild and you need assets that you need young guys, and you need picks and probably young guys who know how to play because you give me all the guys in the world of throw guys who just get numbers and don't actually together in a winning passion that that doesn't really help my program that very very bad time for Lonzo ball the role that bad is it a bad time in a great time of renovating of put up thirty cents. Look like a franchise player. Second question, which will happen first. Lebron James winning chip for the Lakers or becoming the player coach. I'll as you said Lenny Wilkens when winning tip because player coaches, I'm trying to be the the player. Getting closer. Yeah. I I hate being actually according to the bylaws you cannot allow, you know. Coach thanks so much for the call. Really? Appreciate it. I mean. I mean. Kristaps is is now a math Kyrie irvings doesn't wanna talk about his commitment to the Celtics. Anthony Davis is gonna play somewhere probably somewhere else next year. But who knows where but it is full weekend. So have to ask you about the Super Bowl. Okay. What do you think is gonna win Ron Janes? Has one. I want the Rams the win. I live by living Phoenix. But I spend a lotta time LA, and you know, I'd love to see that kind of energy around the city. But you know, I in the pit of my stomach man, it's hard to bet against Tom Brady unless my New York football on the field, and obviously so more importantly than who's gonna win the game. What is your plan for the game? Where are you going? What are you drinking? What are you eating take me through the whole schedule of the day? What city gonna be in? I'm alive. I'm gonna be in Los Angeles Khanna via Super Bowl free agent, man, usually Michelle Beedle, hold a big party house. She's inform. You that this year? The party is out. There will be no party just part of your involve. No, I'm pretty sure Marcellus Wiley, vitamin something. But he also told me that there was a cover charge. That's. Invite to something. So that means I'm hosting something. And I'm getting a piece of the like. Like like, I felt some type of way more cells while in two hundred of his best friend, and and so it's either going to be I'm going to hang out with my dream Bill brethren my cousin e who said he's gonna probably shut him or men. I might just be lonely at the at the hotel bar, man. I'm be like I like to watch. I like to watch by myself do my door close volume on a hundred lights off no matter who the matchup. It no matter who it is really like walking on the Super Bowl. I'll tell you our like the big party atmosphere. The only time I don't like it..
