"You know, and then you go into say there's a dozen people in the painting in you go in and you pepper in each person, and, and hopefully it you look at it as a whole in the end and say, wow, that was really cohesive in looked incredible. As a piece of art, you know, that's kind of how I've always gone after film, which I have loved hunts been such fun. So then how did you transition from you, you did your first music video? And then when did you start getting into film, was there, someone like a mentor that took you in or under their wing because you've, obviously you've had such an incredible career. And you've been a part of essentially painting movies, that are conic to the point that people could dress up for as a cast for Halloween and everyone go, I know exactly what movie you're in. So how did you transition then into film? And what were the films that kind of taught you how to paint essentially? The costume designer I was working with at the time of the video also did some television and, you know, she kind of did at the time movies of the week and things like that. And I got it a little bit of a taste for it. And I just felt I would push my sleeves up and get to work. And hopefully at some point, someone would notice me and hire me on the next job. And I just had this very excited feeling about the work that I was doing. And I just felt like it was it wasn't effortless in the sense that it was long hours and hard work, but it was effortless in the sense that going to work for twelve or sixteen hours on the minimum sometimes longer, I've actually done a twenty six hour day believe it. I believe it. You guys are so hard. Yeah. So, and it never stops until it has to stop exhausted. After love your job. Yeah. Have to love your job. And I felt that I just kept going, and I just kept getting opportunities. And I felt that there was an ease to my understanding what was needed big picture wise to help the film and you build this camaraderie, where you just all wanna do your very best work, you know, and you all want to help the film, succeed will, you've had a lot of films succeed, and I know you were so you were there and part of clueless. As what does it feel like to walk around during Halloween, and have everyone dress up as share? I mean, it's incredibly charming, and I am so happy to have been part of that film. And I still know lot of those people. Now, that was the first I thought it was the first movie I ever did with Paul Rudd and pollinator, still great friends, but fashion was such a huge part of clueless. I mean, that was like the extent of what that movie was really known for fashion clothing now. Yeah. Yeah. So did you know that at the time?.

"He guys. It's Kansas and Kayla. And guess what? We're directionally challenged. We thought we'd have everything in the entire universe figured out by now. We did. And we don't we just don't at all. And that's okay. It really is. Okay. Really? Okay. I think is absolutely fine. So we have a really exciting guests on today. Her name is Lisa Evans, and she is a Hollywood costume designer and private stylus. Oh, you guys might have seen her work in a few tiny little movies, like I don't know. I feel pretty with Amy Schumer zoo. Lander to train wreck forgetting Sarah Marshall bridesmaid. And let's not forget our all time favorite movie. That was one of her beginning jobs clueless. I mean, the dream, she also has a movie out now on Netflix called always be my maybe which I think you've seen it so good. Watch it. Now it's so wonderful. We're going to talk about close. We're gonna talk about why we wear the clothes we wear. How we can dress better for our confidence get we're going to reform our mindset when it comes to fashion, and I know she's worked with a ton of really powerful women chief and has a clothing line with Amy Schumer. Yes. Which you guys might have heard of it's called the cloud, and they also thirty percent of the proceeds from that Goto style fund, which is a really cool organization that helps empower women. And at least an Amy started. Yes. So they're, they're just a force to be reckoned with dream team. So I think we should just jump right into the now. You're not getting out of this, one lying it. You're not getting out of this, when Kayla I'm just gonna rat you out because this is the third time within three minutes. You've said, let's just jump into the interview because this is a sore subject for you. And I will tell you why. Because this is the one thing that is just I'm going to tell you listener. -tated damore militating for Kayla. Getting dressed to go out of the house is a thing. It's the only time I've. Seen you cry like sweats. It's on your face gets red. We, we have a problem with this. And that's why I'm so happy, we have our on because it is something that I can get so worked up about that, then I can't even become productive at all. And then I just want to not go to the event, we're going to, and I just want to stay home, and I want to be my sweatpants and hide away from the world. And is someone who calls you Victoria secret model all the time? I call you that all the time because I truly think I'm like you're crazy. You look like Victoria's Secret model and I also don't want to throw those feelings of yours away though, because they're, they're real. I've seen them physically manifest, like in the way you stand in your face, like you, you won't even it's like your smile is a different smile. It's not it's not your smile anymore, because you don't feel good about yourself and it becomes so much of your self worth is wrapped up in an outfit. You're about to wear. Now did this start when you were younger because since I've known you, it's kind of bene- thing. Yeah. So I think it's more of a public thing because since you've known me. We were on a show together and it was a show that was pretty successful. And so I think it's more of a issue when I'm no other people are going to judge me for what I'm wearing and not necessarily, if I'm coming over to your house just to watch the bachelor. I'm it's fine. It's not a panicky moment, but I think also it just as so much if I feel good in my office. It's a confidence thing. And then I feel like I can be my best self and we talk so much about that. It just changes your mentality. And you're right. It's so debilitating and kind of embarrassed at how much it affects me and there've been so many moments when Candice has come over to the house, and my husband will open the door and be like she's having a moment..
Kim Kardashian West: I was high on ecstasy when I got married, made my sex tape
"Kim Kardashian confessed on the most recent episode of keeping up with the Kardashians that she was high on ecstasy when she got mad. Married to her first husband Damon Thomas and also high on ecstasy when she made her sex tape with Ray j two should get on ecstasy more often or. Fun. Things seemed to happen when she gets on ecstasy or not I think she's blaming it on all of the bad things that happen. So basically, she owes her career to ecstasy is what you're telling me, basically, she said I did ecstacy once and I got married I did it again. So she did it twice those two things happen the two time. Yeah. Okay. I did it again, and I made a sex tape like everything bad would happen. I wonder what being I don't even know why she revealed that like what's the point? I don't know maybe someone offered or some ecstasy lately or something it's a headline. Sure is kinda hot. I read the a little bit at she was talking about her jaw was going like all over the place or something during the sex tape. Now, I wanna go back. Thanks tape. Just to see if I could see her job moving in any weird way or something whatever she's talking about. I want to go back and watch it too. I mean, I've never even. I never watched. It though. Did you watch it? What are you nuts? Of course. I did. Can you think that Ray j leaked filmed it did it come off? Like he was filming it to leak out. They were with what she was wearing. And how made up she was at least. I can't look I have no idea. What was in her head at the moment? Out of the next to see now. But but this tape looks like it looks professional. She looks. She looks like, you know, no fence, but she looks like a porn star. She's really made up. It's not when you're having sex with your partner, and you don't have makeup on and you decide to grab the phone those videos, look different than this. This look like a setup. Well, at least it wasn't like one of those leaked ones that was professionally shot. Right. That's the new trend like that teen mom faira her videos that she had leaked at the beginning. Then she just straight up decided to do professional ones. But like the first one or two it was allegedly leaked, but it was clearly a professional shoot. Right. An update on a story. We talked about last week black China and her skin lightening cream the G selling according to her team. She has. I've never even used it. She just did it for the money. I'm not mad at her. You know, if you're going to endorse something, you probably should use it. I've got a fab fit fun box. I have a Squatty potty. I have Brooklyn and sheets. You know what I'm saying? I've got the Leesa mattress. You can't like just go. Hey, give me the money. And I'll just say anything that's lame. I don't think so. I don't drink beer, but I would promote beer, I guess that's a little different. How is it? Different. Everyone drinks beer. Not everyone uses skin bleaching cream, you want to take it from someone. That's actually tried. It. You're screwing with your skin. Okay. This is a big deal. Drinking Bush in big. She's not screwing with her skin's. He's not using it saying, hey, it's not good enough for me. But it's okay for you though, she wants to provide

"The days before Leesa mattress. They are long before the leesamattress thank God. We don't live in those days. We live in the day the some people call this the day of the leesamattress this time, this whole time period sa- most central and important figure. Next one close, but no cigar. I've used this over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. And I've never really known where it came from, turns out carnivals used to give out cigars as prizes. So almost winning would get you close to achieving a cigar, but not quite. And the phrase kinda volved in meaning, and now obviously means coming close to a golden falling short. I'll be damn. Yeah, and also be damned because carnivals sound like they were way cooler back in the day when you could win tobacco products is prizes. Now you get like now if you can put a, you know, a basketball through a fucking Gulf sized hole, you win a giant shitty teddy bear. That's got lice back in the day. You're getting cigars. I much prefer a stogie to a fucking big old shitty stuffed animal or like a sponge. Bob. You know nothing against SpongeBob SpongeBob guy like SpongeBob. What am I supposed to do the big ass SpongeBob when I get home. What's even you're thinking, dude, Ross just give it to a little kid on the way out. You don't have to take it home. Yeah. Okay, fine. What is the little kid gonna do with the big ass SpongeBob you know what I'm saying that come on the fun is over in an hour, and then you just lugging around a giant sponge Bob, what do you do when you get home with him? You put them in a corner, then you have a creepy giant SpongeBob staring at, you know, NAS on. That's not for me next one dressed to the nines. Interestingly enough, I would argue that I had never heard this phrase used until I met my wife and it's one that she actually has in her vernacular, not only that shockingly she uses it correctly, which is not the case with most phrases and again, we'll get into that shortly. But yeah, I, I wasn't familiar with dressed to the nines. I didn't know what this meant. I'd ever heard it utilized, and frankly, I'll be honest with you. I don't like this one. Something about it, ROY. Me the wrong way. And I think it's just because I, I'm, I'm skeptical about why I never heard it my whole life until like six years ago. So it means to dress exceptionally well in. Apparently there's no concrete consensus on where this one originated. But the most popular theory comes from the fact that the very best suits used a full nine yards of fabric. Really? Yeah, I would not have expected that the answer. Yes, that's we're dressed to the nines originates from, and I'll say that, you know, part of the reason I don't like this phrases 'cause I don't really like the explanation either. I don't know. That's just never the one that when people describe like putting on their best, that's dressed to the nines was not the one we used more back in, you know, my people or whatever. So I don't know. That's another one next let the cat out of the bag, which is obviously like, you know, to reveal a secret finds its roots in eighteenth century street fraud, actually, suckling pigs were often sold in bags, which is fucking disgusting. Okay. And popular scheme was replaced the pig with a cat and sell it to an unwitting victim. Wow. Can you imagine Mike, you get home and you're ready to cook up your suckling pig and you open the bag and it's a cat. Can't imagine it's terrible. The worst case scenario, really it's not what you want. Nobody wants to eat a cat street cat in particular. But yeah, we let the cat out of the bag comes from and another one waking up on the wrong side of the bed, which I do almost every morning. Apparently the left side of the body or anything having to do with the left was often associated with something sinister way back in the day and to ward off evil innkeepers made sure the left side of the bed was pushed against a wall. So guests had no other option, but to get up on the right side of the bed..

"Mattress. I sleep on Leesa mattress. I got a full-size. I got a king size. They're all the squishy. They the real thing is if you are moving via, they get delivered right to your house, you open up the box like the peace of mind and not having to go to like a mattress firm and support the drug money laundering situation and log a mattress. He's gonna have a target on his back and killed, no doubt. You're gonna kill that suck. We wanted to happen. I like now, I mean you you so far about the Denver airport on the mattress are very popular and people love these. But at some point you're going to pick cooling niche one. That is a problem. Dude, there's no cause mattress firm is like it's popular people know about people talked about it. You're gonna find one or discuss one. It's like, just you are blowing the lid off something and they're gonna come kill your over. Knowing too much. Yeah, I'm begging for help here. Someone put me onto my God. Damn it. Okay. All right. Do you have anybody else in the crosshairs grove one is for sure. Like way more sketchy than the other two. That's one people real quick. I mean, it's the place where they like came up with the idea for the Manhattan project. It's like all the elites of deletes go. It's happening like now I'm out in California every year, behaving grove. The lake Hollywood, rich pedophile ring. About once documentary about that. The kid that got taken in like Iowa, and then you just showed up his mom's house like ten years later, like like, don't tell any goats. Don't say anything like when we got in DC naturally talking about freemasons alumina and whatnot, like final Bergen company like they were like laughing in my face off like venture fucking real deal joking. This is like the real deal freemasons, very open about what I said is like they're open, but then there's a layer to that shit that's like plain sight. Right. Percent, and he was like, I'm like. Milano de series the way out of all the money, the way the whole city is designed. Everything is like right under your nose. I mean, my favorite one so far is like the idiots who are like, oh, the tombs open. So there are no clear, no curses. If you think that's a curses are slow playing it. Like you read about not curses. Don't just like jump out of the tomb smack you in the face, like they're Hollywood. Let's you know that if you open up the door to the curses Hollywood's only have weeks to follow the rules Hollywood. So, yeah, people think we're out of the curse bubbled Beck again, for sure, not come kill me. We got this teacher in Pennsylvania. He also moonlights as a wrestler in the world wide wrestling alliance believes WWW his stick is bit. Let's his gimmick. Let's hope is that he's in Nazi. Yeah, and he comes out in full Nazi garb with the with the flag, not the swastika, but the other cross one, his students show up to support him and they're all doing like the motion and cheering, and it's a full blown Nazi gimmick. And I know that's not exactly. Frowned upon these days. Let's say. But you know the early nineties wrestling fans, remember Sargent slaughter and the iron Sheik when politically charged gimmicks were what put asses in the seats. You know, if you wanna be a heel, you want the world wide wrestling alliance, the best, he'll in the game tournaments, one way to get some heat as we all..

"This episode is brought to you by leesa mattress we'll be hearing a bit about that later in this podcast is actually going to be a little different on instead of a specific film will be doing a general discussion on the topic of direct to'real debuts because adamant i saw this movie started by the end did not think he was strong enough to hold its own episode of the movies are you as a little bit sorry to bother you there's been so much hype for this movie i'm excited to see it oh who's that who said that oh is that a special guest jared from weiss cra it is well hello guys thanks for having me is it sure is weird not talking about shitty movies this time well that's thing i don't know we'll see i mean we could talk about shitty director dave debuts crap okay here let me give you a list of some direct to'real debuts because everyone okay who who do we got on our left that's you left out at least but worse she holds her own elisa's is what i like to call a walking and cyclope dhia of direct to'real good yeah yeah here it's like she somehow keeps his information in her pocket they need this list of my favorites i'm always i'm i'm texan elise at all hours of the night of hoop what was the first movie denny villanueva made fingered somebody else is going to tell you john's can't tell you all right well i mean this is this is why i thought this was kind of be an interesting thing to talk about because this movie sorry sorry to bother you is a direct will debut in it's something that boots riley who's traditionally musician has been trying to get going since two thousand fourteen he guys spoke about it with adamant i had the honour of going to a special screening where he hosted and he basically said that he wrote the screenplay in two thousand fourteen has been trying for four years to make it and it was i i was really entertained by i really liked it but it was a very flawed film i liked i don't feel like it's a very long time for years to make a fucking movie in a long time i mean i yeah i mean how long did it take david lynch make a razor head like league nine years yeah and that's not with today's technology in advance like the internet hype train you can use when you're just like a creepy doodoo made films with your daughter or your your little sister you're starting to write something in two thousand fourteen it comes out in two thousand eighteen you're doing pretty well and the movie itself i i don't want to take the wind out of any sort of sale for you say going with minimal expectations i think it's really interesting moving i think especially for a direct to'real debut it's it's cool and i think it has a lot of interesting parts about it but it definitely feels like a first time filmmaker and i think you'll you'll know what i'm talking about after ucf that's about all i wanna save you since you guys are both interested in seeing it but it is a film that i do not wanna see again all the social media promotion for because it's been like really interesting campaigns and not really specific to the movie but just sort of like the vibe around it and it's got a pretty cool cast so you don't think this is gonna make keith stanfield a star he he is by far not the bad part of the movie he i think he shines and i think a lot of people know that from him being in atlanta even in death note james seem but like him in that he was like like yeah keith's grade i don't think i've seen him do anything bad yet i didn't i didn't particularly like his character in death note that's because i was a.
