Democrat Kathy Hochul sworn in as elected New York governor
"New York governor Kathy hochul was sworn in for her first full term on Sunday making history as the first woman elected to the position in the state. Hi, Kathy hochul. Do celebrity swear. Do solemnly swear. Kathy hochul starts her first full four year term as New York's governor but wants to make more than history. I came here to make a difference. Democrats says they're a fight ahead. First, we must and will. Make our state safer. This means New Yorkers can walk our streets and ride our subways. Our kids can go to school, free from fear. Local, who defeated Republican Lee zeldin also called for making the state more affordable, citing the high cost of living. Monica Crowley: Supporting Harmeet Dhillon for RNC Chair
"I've come out publicly in support of harmony Dylan to be the new RNC chair against Ronald mcdaniel. I had to run my podcast last week. We had a fantastic interview. I've known her a little bit over the years and she is just brilliant. She's an attorney. She's an attorney for our causes, which, you know, the Democrats on the left have fleets of lawyers on every cause from elections to the environment to you name it. And our side has a handful. Well, harmeet is one in that handful of lawyers and she actually puts her money where her mouth is. So she will be a consummate fighter for America first. She will be completely responsive and representative of the Republican voting base, which we have not had. I mean, ronna mcdaniel is the lovely person, but she's been in there for 6 years. She does not have a record of success. In fact, the exact opposite. And now what's being exposed between Lee zeldin, who was going to run for RNC chair, but decided against it. But between he and what they're exposing is that the RNC process is just as corrupt as anything we talk about with the Democrats with the political back scratching and the self dealing and all of the money and favors being doled out over the years so that all of these people become locks. Once they get into these positions, we can not attack Joe Biden and the Democrats for this kind of corruption when we've got it on our side. That's number one. And number two, we really need leadership on the GOP side because the hour is very late in America, Todd. And so we need people who understand the nature of the threat that we are facing from within and they're not part of the absolute inherent corruption in this country. We need people who get it and who are not in on it. And that's our meat in my view.

Can Ronna McDaniel Be Replaced? Kevin McCullough Weighs In
"Really hope ronna mcdaniel is replaced as the head of the RNC. Do you think that can happen? I don't know. I was discouraged to see Lee zeldin step out of the race yesterday and part of the rationale that he explained as to why he wasn't going to do it is he said that it appears prebaked into the equation that she is going to be reelected. You know, if you lose in cycle after cycle after cycle, Nancy Pelosi, she doesn't get to be Speaker of the House, but she's not going to get to be the leader of her party in Congress anymore because she lost. That should hold true for Republicans, too. And we did not have a good election cycle. There are some people blaming the president for pushing candidates that were less than optimal. But I think that fresh leadership, new direction, and certainly a better ability to actually put strategy into play would be something that I would love to see come along.

Eric and Salem Host Jenna Ellis Discuss RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel
"Now we have, you know, we've had these horrible midterms and as we sit here now, the greater horror of Herschel Walker having lost in Georgia. And so here you have Rana mcdaniel that I pronounce her name, who's Mick moron is actually how I press. Okay, now that's take it easy. But I mean, seriously, this is someone who typifies. She's been the head of the Republican National Committee, and she has typified these kinds of problems. She's the niece of Mitt Romney, who unfortunately is someone that I once voted for him. And I am grieved deeply grieved to see how folks like Mitt Romney and the late John McCain and so many others really, really, really were not on board with what I thought they were. And it's heartbreaking. And so now here we have ronna mcdaniel who's been the head of the Republican National Committee. She seems to be guilty of this kind of thing. But the good news, this is the end of the sentence is that she is now being challenged for the head of headship of the Republican national committee. This to me is very hopeful. It's hopeful, but it's also, I think, a little bit premature hope because just yesterday, Lee zeldin posted a great statement on social media. And you can all go and find that on his Twitter page that said that he's not going to challenge her for the Republican national chair because it's almost baked in that she's going to get reelection because of how corrupt the process is and how much I think will be forthcoming about how corrupt she is and using her position to essentially for lack of a better word bribe the rest of the RNC members with other favors and benefits and things that will ultimately support her.

Lee Zeldin Will Not Run for RNC Chair, Still Calls for New Leader
"Lee zeldin, writing on Twitter, I won't be running for RNC chair at this time with McDaniels reelection pre baked by design. But that does not mean she should even be running again. Zelda goes on to say here and this is from Politico. Change is desperately needed, and there are many leaders myself included ready and willing to step up to ensure our party retools and transforms as critical elections fast approach, namely the 2024 presidential and congressional races. Folks, if we keep doing what we're doing now, we're going to be blown out in 2024. Zeldin wrote to RNC leaders last month, laying out the case for his potential bid. He came within 6 points of beating Kathy hochul in blue state, New York. Quote, no matter what, I am committed to doing absolutely everything in my power to help save our country with every ounce of my energy. Zelda urged the party to develop its fundraising apparatus, bolster its ballot collection and election integrity efforts and build its grassroots after Republicans fared worse than expected across the nation on election day. And again, Trump says Trump has been out there from day one saying no to early voting. Zelda says the better path forward would be for chairwoman mcdaniel to listen and respect the wishes of the actual grass roots, voters of our party, and allow the RNC to forge ahead with new leadership. Her greatest service to the Republican Party at this time would be to make room for a new chair.

Potential New Bids Incoming for RNC Chair
"Big story developing out of RNC headquarters where there is going to be a fight for leadership, ronna mcdaniel, plans on running again to be head of the RNC. That's the Republican National Committee. However, she already has a competitor among them army Dylan, who's been a guest on this program, she's an RNC committee member. She's also an attorney who has been fighting for Kerry Lake down in Arizona. Dylan was on with Tucker Carlson last night and actually suggested that all you Republicans out there are tired of losing. Are you tired of losing Republicans? She says, I think that what we really need to radically reshape our leadership in order to win is new leadership. We can't keep running elections like we did in the 90s and the 2000s. We really have to modernize to compete with the Democrat dollar for a dollar in the ways they fundraise and the way they deliver ballots to the ballot boxes. She says the Republican message needs to be fresh and positive and not just reactive to news cycles and what the Democrats are doing. My pillow CEO Mike lindell says he's going to be running for the chairmanship is he is Mike even a Republican. I don't know. I mean, he may be. Maybe that may not be a requirement these days to be RNC chair. There is also a report that Lee zeldin, the congressman from New York, may be a considering a challenge, and also Andy Biggs. Our good friend, the congressman from Arizona.

Dinesh Continues His Review of the Midterm Election Results
"I'm back and we're talking about the midterms and some results have come in in the last day or so. In fact, I mean I were talking together about results out of New York. A number of congressional races that were poised kind of on the knife's edge or were right in the middle have tipped over into the Republican column. Let's remember, by the way, we think of New York, we're like, wow, New York really? What? But New York is fairly conservative outside of New York City. So as you begin to move Long Island as you move upstate, you republicanism is not uncommon, and in some ways it's even the majority. So it's only because of the dense population of New York that New York is a safely by and large democratic state. But what you have here is races that were that had about an equal number of Republicans and Democrats. So maybe even democratic leaning falling the Republican way. Now what does this mean? Well, it basically helps us in the house. And we have to give credit to this guy Lee zeldin, Lee zeldin ran against Kathy hochul for the governor's race, and he lost, but he lost pretty narrowly. I mean, if you look at those numbers between Zelda and hulk, I mean huckel won it pretty cleanly, but it was not the normal blowout. It wasn't something where hoku got 60 and zeldon got 40. It was something where these guys were just a few points apart and what that means is that Zelda had a sort of coattail in New York. He was able to pull up some of the other Republicans. By the way, this was just a confirmation of how politics works in teams. In other words, if you do well at the top of the ballot, you often do better at the bottom of the ballot. One of the anomalies of 2020 was the Trump lost, but Republicans down ballad did pretty well. This is an anomaly that I think about when I, as I put the film together 2000 meals and also wrote the wrote the accompanying book.

He knows all tells all, okay, votes true. Tell us more about what happened last night. Again, I have officially dubbed this, Eric is not allowed to be depressed day. Even though the media is telling you that Joe Biden won last night and that Trump is finished and that everything else is going downhill, that is the opposite of what happened. And you ended last hour talking about Lee zeldin. Let me just talk to you about the quote unquote failed candidacy of Lee zeldin. First of all, Kathy hochul will take this governorship reigns with the smallest percentage win of any governor in New York's history in the last hundred years. Nobody has come this close to losing their seat and still want it. Having said that, what does that mean? Well, she obviously has been sent a message that New Yorkers are tired of the crime. They've got a lot of issues about the economy, et cetera, et cetera. But in zeldin's fervor to get to that place, he worked 19 months, he held huge rallies on Long Island and upstate. There was obviously chicanery that took place in Manhattan that you were talking about cheating that's obvious. It's obvious that there's some sort of like printing press at the bottom of Gracie mansion in the city or something. I don't know. But in all of this excitement, he pulled probably four more congressional delegates into the GOP delegation for new Yorkers than they have had in many, many years.

"Just stopped there for a second and talk about why Lee zeldin still is very important. Lee zeldin and also at least stefanik. You know, look, they were out there trying to win New York back writ large. And Lee gave up his congressional seat for the bigger mission. But here's what America doesn't realize. And it's also the Donald Trump effect there. We stole three congressional seats from the state of New York from Democrats. We retired maloney, the democratic Khmer chair campaign chief. The guy who controls their money. That is not an effect that happens unless you follow the America first agenda of Donald Trump. And Lee sells a champion that and to lose New York, my home state. And I'm a strong island kid, just like Lee Zelda originally. To lose by 5.7, that is a margin of victory for the Democrats that hasn't been that close in decades. To bring New York on that sort of precipice is a tremendous tremendous compliment to the campaign that Lee zeldin won ran. And the three that we picked up, the three seats. That's a straight flip that wouldn't have happened in any other cycle.

They want their vote to count and it's rare that they get general elections where their vote counts, what they want to do is be able to vote in a primary for the person they perceive to be the normal option if they are presented with a normal option. So by the way, there are Democrats who consider themselves to be conservatives, there are a lot of people out there who want to feel safe, walking the streets and riding the subways. "There's a highway that stretches across the 93 days of summer. Where worship is an offered to the sun. But to the smoking tire, the S curve, and the spin turn. And if you ride it, make sure you do it in a Dodge charger, challenger, or Durango. 'cause on this highway, the lines being blurred are the ones between drivers. And demons, welcome to highway 93. The Dodge is a registered trademark. But you know, very recently, Shinzo Abe was assassinated. Veteran politician, given a speech at a podium and some evil monster killed him. This happens on American soil. We've had presidents assassinated. We've had congressmen attacked. Steve scalise was targeted, as well as other Republican congressmen on a baseball field. And last night was a shocking attack on congressman Lee zeldin, who's running for governor in New York State. And I remember when I first got the bullet in last night, the congressman Zelda was attacked by a man with a blade on stage, I remember thinking that governor hochul, the Democrat governor of New York, had directed her supporters to go to Zelda campaign events just hours before this attack. And then thankfully, Lee zeldin was okay. He managed to hold the guy's hand away from his body, the man did not stab congressman zeldin to death. A sitting U.S. congressman is a gubernatorial candidate Republican. And he thwarted the would be assassin. Congressman zeldin tweeted out his appreciation for law enforcement, the attendees who helped him, and then congressman zeldin said something prophetic. He tweeted the attacker will likely be instantly released under New York's laws. And I thought there's no way. Come on. I mean, I like Lee zeldin, but no way that could happen. Are you surprised to learn that the would be attacker assassin was quickly released from jail? The man who tried to stab Lee zeldin last night with the bladed weapon during a campaign stop was released from jail within hours of his arrest on a felony charge, just as zeldon had predicted. Let's welcome on our guest line. Congressman Lee zeldin to the Mike Gallagher show. First of all, congressman, I am so grateful for the actions of those who are near you and your quick thinking actions, there, but for the grace of God, this guy didn't have an opportunity to put the blade into your body. You must be feeling very, very, very grateful to that today. Absolutely. There were men and women who instinctively jumped on the guy to subdue him instantly. I mean, it really good instincts by a number of attendees who were there. Fortunately, I saw him coming at me with that weapon in his hand. It was lunging towards my neck area and I just grabbed his wrist to hold him back for what was just a few moments until everyone got in and the law enforcement was there within a few minutes and he was apprehended and gone, although as you just pointed out, it was just within hours after he tried to stab a sitting member of Congress at a political campaign event charged with a felony and instantly released due to New York's cash flow spare loss, which is crazy. It's beyond crazy, I would never have believed it. I honest to goodness, congressman, I'm sitting here, I'm not kidding you. I admire you and respect you and certainly support your candidacy and when I saw your tweet, well, he'll be released on New York's. I don't think people understand this. And this is not just New York. This isn't just a New York thing. It's happening and it happens in states all over the country where these ridiculous no bail laws have been instituted by Democrat politicians and Soros installed prosecutors and district attorneys. I have to tell you, I was shocked at your tweet and I'm dismayed that you were right. I can't believe I'm in shock. This guy's out. And I wish I wish that I wasn't right and that there was and this guy the attacker himself needed help. I was told that he was a veteran maybe he came home with a mental wounds of war. I heard that he was a little under the influence. Maybe he needed some help to deal with that. You're not helping that person by putting them right back on a street. There are people like while you're processing somebody for arrest and you identify that there's a mental health issue, maybe there's a drug addiction issue, you can assist that person. Now on a whole other level, is the need to be weighing dangerousness to look at slight risk in past criminal records and seriousness of the offense to make sure that if that this individual was released that there's some potential additional harm to my gate caused and a judge would have a discretion to be able to effectively proactively avoid that by keeping that person behind bars. There is zero discretion whatsoever in New York under this charge. It's one of too many different non bell eligible offenses and he's released and the person who actually, in my opinion, the person who ends up suffering the most because he gets released, is that attacker..

"All right, you know, you and I, I think, are both concerned with the rise of the violent leftist. The leftist now just have decided the laws don't apply to them. And we just saw congressman Lee zeldin up in new York running for governor. They're crazy leftists tried to murder him. Yes, and he was let out of jail without any bond having to be posted at all. And that's because of New York State's laws regarding that. There you have a man who tried to assassinate a sitting United States congressman running for governor. And he was literally let out of jail on a felony charge. I mean, it's not like he was charged. He was charged with a felony, but under New York's laws, governing bonds, he was let go. They had to let him go. And Jeff, I don't know if you've seen the video. We have it up on our website. It was very clear to me that he was going for the carotid artery. I mean, you can see the arm. You could see the hand at where it was going. And now we understand that it was some sort of some sort of a device that he had on his hands that had a sharp edges to it. So he was basically going to try to slice the guy's neck open. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Now, thankfully, Lee zeldin, you know, he's a veteran. He's a tough guy. He was actually able to fend off the attacker, but Todd, you think about this and again, folks have to go Todd starns dot com, take a look at the video. This depraved disgusting person is back out on the streets. God only knows what he's planning for today. And that's a great point. And this has been the argument from so many people in New York City where you can literally go and crack somebody over the head with baseball bat and you will not sit in jail. You will be given a summons to show up and that's because of these leftist laws that have been placed on the books.

Realistically, considering a 79 year old infirm feeble man with COVID. If he doesn't make his term because he gets sick or he resigns, nobody wants any harm, obviously to come to him or want him to live a to be a hundred. But if he doesn't make it through his term and Kamala Harris, his president. And consider this, and then things get better, somewhat in the next two years. Do you know how they probably won't? But if they do, just by the virtue of time, just by virtue of the fact that Republicans have control of the House in the Senate, things could get better. And if they get better, and she's in The White House at the time, do you know how hard it will be to beat her? Think about that, I'm sorry. Was took video of this incident. And it's terrifying. You see this guy stroll across the stage confronts zeldin, tackles him to the ground and it turned out he had a blade. He pulled a blade out of his pocket, which of course was going to be used to stab him to death. In a tweet, after this incident in Monroe county happened. Tennessee Lee zeldin tweeted his words as he tried to stab me a few hours ago, were you're done. But several attendees quickly jumped into action and tackled the guy. Law enforcement was on the scene within minutes. Zeldin tweeted the attacker will likely be instantly released under New York's laws, Zelda was right. The guy was released. This is unbelievable. This is absolutely un frigging, believable. The guy tried to stab a politician running for cab for governor and he's on the streets. Maybe we should call him Derek and say, why did you try to murder Lee zeldin last night's sir? Because he must be home. He's available. He can take calls. Maybe we can send him some food. I'll bet he was hungry after his heroine experience having to go through the jail system. But he's out. He's right now. Kathy hochul came to your rescue. New York Democrat laws released him. Oh my gosh. I don't even know attempt to stab an American congressman on stage and get released on your own recognizance. You wonder why I'm leaving New York? I'm sitting here shaking. Can we get Lee's Eldon? Let's get him on the show. Reach out to him, Derek. My gosh. My heroes again. What was that? What happened? My gosh. Sitting U.S. congressman Lee zeldin from Long Island. He's challenging Democrat governor Kathy hochul. And one of the big reasons he's running is because of the insane Democrat policies that, oh, I don't know. Let people like a would be assassin, be released on their own recognizance because of their goofy bail, no bail laws. Well, he might have been wrong. Maybe he was of a veteran. He's a reportedly an Iraq War veteran. Maybe he was, he tried to assassinate a sitting U.S. congressman. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he shouldn't be out the next morning. With everything that's going on, I just got a note from a friend of mine that said that a would be assassin of a gubernatorial candidate in New York State just got released without bond. Now, I don't know if that's true or not. He sometimes is not great with facts. I want Derek to see if that's true or not, because if it's true, this should be the biggest story in America. A guy running for governor, a conservative Republican named Lee zeldin was on stage last night and a man jumped up on the stage and attempted to stab Lee zeldin to death. Somehow they managed to get the blade out of the guy's hand, zeldon was able to hold the guy's hand away from him and Lee zeldin miraculously survived. Often these politicians who are victims of attacks like these do not survive. Lee zeldin did. Now, surely, in Kathy hochul's state of New York, another blue state run by Democrats surely they didn't release this guy from jail, right? Well, apologies to my friend. He was a 100% correct. That really requires some serious self reflection by the secretary and others in this administration is that when the taliban and others who are america's adversaries would you would play that clip that you just played at the end of it. They would then start laughing their asses off like they can't believe that this is where the focus is at our are Important approach to foreign policy and we saw this for four years during the trump administration is that we should be understanding or are enemies. We are excited. I'm a little bit miffed. I am a tad irritated because my cynical hard-bitten producer who has amazing instincts said yesterday on a shocker. He said when he saw the deal that cuomo was copying with them trying to prevent his impeachment. He said okay. That's it. He's resigning and i didn't believe him and he had it right. Did this decision surprise you from the man who has shown such arrogance in office. We actually all got numb to the way. This governor operates and i believed that He should should've resigned a long time ago actually before way before the report. We're talking about several months ago. We were calling for his resignation for a totally unrelated issue the the fatal nursing home ordering cover up and the serious allegations that came out and we were saying on our side of the aisle responsibly. That there should be a process. There should be investigation. Let's see what his side of the story is. And then the geez report came out. I think actually on top of the ag with their conclusions about state and federal crimes being violated also the way cuomo and his attorneys were talking. They're really making him. Seem more guilty. A andrew cuomo is saying that his conduct is okay because he's sixty three years old that he's italian his attorneys saying that there's no cheese and crackers on the second floor so it was impossible. That ever happened or you know. He hardly knows his executive assistant. So i think that as we were getting to today if he didn't resign that would be on brand because of his arrogance. As you point out but then if you did resign the all of us will also be saying you know really what took you so long. I mean. We knew that he should have resigned. He seems to be like the last one who got the memo absolutely follow this man. At rep lee zeldin but more importantly go to sell for new york dot com. Why because this man could very possibly be the new governor of new york so talk to us about what this means for you. Your campaign What you say to those who thought there's no way there's no way cuomo's never going to believe. What is your message to all new yorkers on this rather rather auspicious day we're gonna win as long as everybody everywhere is all in every single one of your listeners. Have an opportunity to help this. 'cause in some way and we we can't operate off of is the mentality is we're battling the heart soul of our state and our country that this is someone else's fight. No this is all of our fights and this is bigger than each. And every one of us individually this is about the collective and it's about our kids and people weren't even born yet who are going to face the consequences of these decisions that we're witnessing right now and pendulum swing a we're due for a correction in the state where due for a correction in our country. And if you care about public safety you care about. The quality of education for our kids were having policies. That actually grow jobs. And there's a clear choice that we face right now. But this isn't about a candidate going all in this isn't about a candidate's campaign team going all in. It's about all of us doing everything in our power to win all of us. What what is please guys. Support this man. I know him. I've campaigned for him. When he was re elected to the first congressional district in new york he loves new. York allows this nation zeldin for new york. Dot com congressman zeldin. Li if i may. I'm not satisfied. He probably he so creepy he probably did numerous inappropriately sexual things with people who were his subordinates. But i want this guy to be charged with manslaughter. Are we ever going to see justice for the fifteen thousand. New york's sent to that deaths in as people people's homes. What we know is a department of justice announcement from a couple weeks ago saying that their civil rights division was not going to look into the public nursing home dynamic. What we don't know is what the current state if any is of an investigation at the doj or at the attorney general's level at the state Or if there any locals taking action. We just don't have information to either confirm that they are pursuing justice and accountability. Or they're not in which case the answer unfortunately is no there's not going to be justice So we just need more information but unfortunately where we do have. The information is the department of justice. Sending a letter to a bunch of members of congress myself included saying that they were not going to the civil rights. division was not going to look into the nursing home ordering cover up as relates to the public nursing home. Deaths still have the answer on the private nursing homes for them. They wonder if that decision would have been the same amounts of the department of justice if we were talking about fifteen thousand residents of a state. Run by a republican governor. I think i know the answer that question. Thank you so much for.
