"Hey there, welcome to the show. I'm your host Samantha Lee ray, and thanks so much for tuning in to the essential oil revolution. The world's number one essential oil podcast. Today, we're going to get a little bit whoo whoo and a lot bit powerful. We're going to talk about the top 5 essential oils that our guests today, Mallory Leon uses, and her own spiritual practice. It's going to be a lot of fun, but before we get to our interview today, as always, allow me to share my favorite oil this week. I wanted to highlight an oil that we will actually talk about in this interview, which is blue tansy. Now you may be familiar with blue tansy as a single oil because it's got this very distinct beautiful blue color, or you may be more familiar with its uses in certain blends like peace and calming or gentle babies. But what you might not know is that this plant was actually on the edge of extinction due to over harvesting at one point. It wasn't until harvesters were able to take the seeds and cultivate it in Morocco that this plant has become more sustainable as an industry. But it is still on the more costly side of oils because of its rarity. The blooms themselves of the flower are yellow. What gives them the dark blue, beautiful color, is the process of distilling it. One of the chemical components of the oil called chamu zulli is released when heated giving it its distinct indigo color. Depending on how much of that channel zoo lean is in the plant at the time of its harvest, will determine how deep that blue is. Blue tansy is known for its calming effects and the components within blue tansy. I'll have very high anti inflammatory properties. It is a go to oil for all things skin. Studies have led researchers to suggest that camphor, which is a component of blu tansy, could be a very potent wound healing and even anti wrinkle agent. In traditional Chinese medicine, blue tansy has been used as an antihistamine to reduce nasal congestion. So it's a popular one for including in a diffuser or in an infused hot water steam bath to open your airways. Just be sure when you're buying your oil, you're using true blue tansy, not common tansy. Look for the Latin name, blue tansy's Latin name is Tana situm anam and common tanzi is called ten acidum vulgar. Common tansy does have high concentration of suzhou, which is a toxic enzyme. So again, be careful where you buy from and make sure you're looking for those Latin names on the bottle to ensure the correct species. And now let's pull a recipe out of our DIY dugout. Today's recipe comes from Laurie Ann radu in saskatoon, Canada, and her recipe is for a simple lemonade. To make the lemonade, it's best to start with an empty ningxia red 750 mL bottle. In that bottle, add two ounces of fresh squeezed lemon juice, two drops of citrus fresh, a blend from young living, and then mix with about a half a cup of sweetener. You can use stevia, honey or sugar made into a simple syrup pre mixed in about a liter of water. Add a half a cup of that simple syrup mix to your lemonade bottle and then top the rest off with water. Chill to serve, throw some ice in a glass and guzzle, or you can even heat this up in the cooler months to have it as a warm tea..

"Favor after you try at this time or once you figure out what the issue is. Give me a call back because there are a bunch of people right now scratching their heads and they would love to get the follow up on this, okay? Oh, definitely. I tried Googling it for my husband and I was like, uh, we're gonna have the ATF just show up at our door now. Yeah. Yeah. There's some things that do fall into the don't ask, don't tell category, okay? So all right, well, I will go ahead and we were planning on trying to find some respect here in Montana. There are certain to be a little less available, but I will get you back as soon as we know what's up. Sounds good. I appreciate the college. You take care, be safe out there. Oh, this is lovely. The town of Lee ray Ellie in New York. State of New York. North county gun owners could start paying a few more bucks for a bullet. The article says, lawmakers and gun experts say a new bill in the state Senate is a direct attack on the Second Amendment. Basically, New York is a bill introduced to put a tax on ammunition two to 5 cents per projectile. Same old same old, right? We've seen it before. As someone pointed out, it's basically if you know your civil rights history, this is a poll tax. Taxing people to vote, which was ruled unconstitutional, of course. To actually people to vote as a way to keep certain people from voting. Taxing ammunition is a way to keep some people from being able to buy ammo and to shoot. And specifically, I don't know that they ever actually think about this. It's aimed at lower income people. Who's it going to affect the most people who don't have a lot of money? And they'll say, people say, well, it's only 5 cents around. Really? That would actually be, I mean, two cents to 5 cents, even if it's on a 22 rimfire, that's a substantial percentage increase. And if I'm going to go buy 5000 or 10,000 rounds, which is very common, it for competitive shooters, that's nothing. That ends up in a hurry. The idea, of course, is for them to say, we're going to quote unquote.

"So and then the queen who. Thanks to ripley now has a human reproductive system just described as a gift that the guy has been trying to train. The aliens dislike her gifts to her. Was the human reproductive system. Which the movie does subvert. Because the alien is so obviously in agony. Which i like this movie. That is so obsessed with this one woman's maternity this movie at least is this disgusting like human. Reproduction is disgusting. As opposed to the other movies that eggs bad human human maybe good you be mother and aliens riding around with in agony here. You're just like why is everything. So horny and painful seeming in this one. Equal parts horny and pain. Okay so the queen has now has a human reproductive system and then gives birth to this half alien half like it has a human skull face also meows like a cat. And so that's ripley's grand child and the trainer guy after watching ripley. I mean if anything play the role of father in this relationship then he says look he thinks you're the mother which i think is really funny and more critique of men viewing the thing rather than like actually making ripley be the mother or the mother is like well. No it destroyed. its mother. thinks ripley is. it's god midst. it's really anyway maybe. We're getting into it for the plot. I didn't click for me like why are you talking about. She's obviously not the mother. You didn't watch the whole birth and sex scene coon. He's really chilling in this cuckoo. He's sons. I know there's actors photo looks exactly like a picture of buster keaton like costume. That actor is Brad dorothy who played worm tongue in lord of the rings as well as he is a major character in one flew over the cuckoo's nest. So okay he's got range anyway. Okay so there's all the weird like horny. Incest jewel cuddling once. You forgot his most important crack. Brad dora is the voice of chuckie. Why god dora has appeared in a number of horror films most notably as the voice of chuckie in the whole child's play franchise he's cannon chucky. I also think he as him like as an actor like not. Just him voice acting chucky but i think he's also in the chucky movies as a different character as well but i might be completely missed remembering no. I think you're right. Charles lee ray. Who i think is like the serial killer who's trapped inside of or charley. Yeah he's like one. Of the bad guys in chucky and also the real bad guy which is which is i watched shuki for the first time last year and i was like this is pretty good i liked it kinda holds up. Yeah i was like check. Yeah and then. I watch aubrey plaza chucky. And it wasn't that bad. It wasn't good as original chucky but you know maybe we'll i. I don't know if we have anything to say about chucky on this particular show but it was fun. Sure sure so anyways. Chuck us in the movie. Schalke's in the movie he dies. There's been all this horny in sexual cuddling. And then ripley runs away and heads toward the buddy ship but the weird alien follows her and gets onto the ship as well and ripley and such a revealed though. Oh my goodness trying to close the door and then the baby alien helps like oh baby alien. Good or bad. That scene i the when kilo killing. I watch this together. The first time And i was like. Maybe i just haven't been paying close enough attention because i feel like this whole dramatic cutting back and forth feels very bizarre unearned but then i watched it a second time. I'm like no. It's still feels that way where it's like something about the editing in the scene where it just keeps cutting to sigourney weaver for a little bit too long where she's who come back like terrifying like sucked through a whole bad cgi. I loved it. I loved that scene right so confusing. Because what's about to happen. Is that ripley in. Call have to deal with the alien. Who's gotten on board the betty and ripley flings her acid blood onto a window and it creates this whole and then the weird cat human alien get sucked out of the hole into space in. What is one of the most disgusting like body horror things. I've ever seen take time in the movie really milk for a long time. But not before ripley. Kind of makes out with the alien aka her grandchild. Cottle's it's like horny nuzzling. Yeah it's very it's very charged. Yes and then. The movie ends with ripley in call arriving on earth. And they're like wow it's nice the end so let's take another break and then we'll come back to discuss.

It's called. Yeah. How didn't shy and they just started filming fast nine whatever it's going to be called? So I don't think it's for that one, but man everybody wants this guy under their roof. Do they not? Absolutely. I mean look, Kiana res fell off a little bit. But as far as I know him, he's one of the biggest movie stars. I know in my generation, I'd love to see a proper sequel to speed all these years later. He didn't do him in the seats, the largest action star of the nineties and early two thousand Bill and Ted movies like when I was younger, I was probably in the range for that. I don't know if you saw them like I'm a little bit younger, but I have an older brother and we used to actually building through right at my dad hates. We would also. He's also always do the dude and whatever funny, I think my brother, and I did that too. But he is going to be in Bill and Ted which comes out and August of twenty twenty and they had begun filming it. So man. That's awesome. We even have that coming out twenty five years after, so he's rumored to have been in talks for marvel movie. We don't know where the character is. But we know that there several that he could certainly fill the role of that's for sure. I think he's too skinny to play most characters. But, you know, I'm C, you does a pretty good job at bringing these, they do outlandish comic book characters to real life. We've seen people say, oh, he could play more while maybe face accurate. But I don't think he really has the physique for name at all maybe an eternal character. I think turtles I, I was thinking king, but he would in my eyes he could only play like the young Egyptian king. He's already too old to play version of king. He's, maybe the old man king well, can is going to be an actor like Josh Brolin, motion, cat prob. I would say so, so if you're gonna have Keno, then don't hide his face. Right. And you know. Daynuss is not a character where Josh Brolin's face. Got hidden in there. You did a great job what they know. So actually, yeah, you're right. You're hangs more wearing a mask, so you don't wanna you don't wanna waste key on your own king. Yeah. I also seen him up for the role of doom, which that would be pretty interesting doctor doom. I'd be don't need to be as physically empowering as he is. He has the technology. He's a king. He's a quadrille air and I'll just say race. And I'll just say real quick off in passing that, that the creator of legion. He actually was working on a Dr do movie, and supposedly he has met with Kevin fi- recently allow, and they're talking about maybe they're still gonna make this doctor do movie that he was working on. So we'll have to see about that. It'd be actually interesting to see that in the right hands going into the right direction. Yeah. That would be awesome here. He was also until. And Toy Story Toy Story as well. That's crazy. Which we both saw. I did not see Toy Story. I saw Toy Story. Yeah. Ye subtly anti sorry was good man. I'm not gonna lie. It was the classic Pixar movie. Tear Jerker funny. Family friendly doctors with every unit had a little bit of terrifying. Terrifying characters in there the Benson, or whatever it is, is eventual quiz. He's like a bodyguard. But he's scary is how her some kids in the back like cryan. She her grown men in the front cryan. Yes. And kids in terror grown men and sadness all around great movie did a great job at keeping the comedic point and keeping a detained and so they'd Kiana res he played do caboose, which is like a dump Canadian stuntman who helps Woody to accomplish his goes in the movie we're pretty worked to pretty good movie. Overall, not going to go ahead and give away too much of toys story is really not nothing to say about it except for I enjoy. It it I thought that maybe it was as good as to maybe not one because it's one and only because it's one and I know you really love and three. I wasn't really loving three. Yeah. No, I absolutely. Just adored three. I mean, I thought it was at that it was the perfect trilogy. Capper. I didn't think we'd ever see another one. I could definitely agree with you on that. Right. And this movie did a good job as being its own stand alone. Movie you have to watch once who went three. They had a quick five minutes where they brought you up to speed and then the movie starts, and we're, we're good to go. We we're back and actually the first time minutes was pretty though, we're back in Andy's room and the original. All right. Like who are one the whole set from par one. So that was pretty interesting. And then, you know, time progresses, and they get passed onto bunny and Albany is their new toy and they're having to protect bunny from from the real world ranking ship cool. Pretty. It's definitely now, one movie that we both saw that I don't think you appreciate it too much. So I'll just do my quick review of it is the remake of child's play. Child was now you gotta understand. I was watching this movie as not a and I know this sounds ridiculous, but I was not watching it comparing it to the other Chucky movies that were in the past I kinda came into this, one fresh, and the reason I did that was out of respect to dominancy knee who is still working on the Universal Pictures. Child's play franchise or Chuckie franchise rather. They're not called child's play. But he is making his own TV series of that. And he's not happy about this movie which I can understand. I'm sure that you're gonna make them feel a lot better in a second. But I'm just going to say it was a ninety minute. You know, fun horror romp. Like I enjoyed it for what it was. You know, using the A I technology and just seeing like essentially this, this walking talking. You know, Alexa, sorta come to life and work everything in your life. I thought that they use that. Well, I thought the kid that played him was good. You know. It was okay. I enjoyed the movie. That's a guy on the other hand elects. I agree with Don Manzini. Whatever his time, this movie was utter trash, if I was to put it in a lineup with all of the other Chucky movies modern three, this movie, only maybe tops. Seed of Chucky and yeah, and the one befall before cults of Chuck curse of Chucky. There you go. That's pretty much. It's pretty sad to say that bride of Chucky and Chucky were both better than this will be an absolutely the first three. The trilogy was way better than this movie. Look, I agree. It should have been a stand alone movie. We should have not have had compared to the other movies. But why are you going to give it the same name, then if you're gonna go ahead and make a remake of a movie. Why are you going to leave out the most important part of the movie? This was not a Chucky movie. This was a this is Wilson's AI and instead of like robots that help us in the house, the right dolls the call the AI doll or something definitely wasn't Chucky. There's no Charles Lee. Ray you guys. Not a movie about a serial killer trapped in a doll. This is a movie about a doll who doesn't have the right programming and goes crazy. And he's like a jealous friend. That's you ever seen the swim fan? You've seen swim fan instead of a girlfriend adult that the good comparison, actually, the murders in the movie subpar. We had one dote murder where you killed that the mother's boyfriend who I won't. Right. I wanted to kill him. Yeah. So rightfully so he, he died in a perfect way dote. They wrap his head around the watermelon loved SEM other than that, all the murders were soft so subpar Chucky murders. When you're looking at Chucky overall, a character, how gruesome and crazy he is. And then and then we have the Martha moment, I'm head and call it a Martha moment. I think that we should just describe it. Spoiler since we have, you know, we, you know, we're, we're running ahead on time here a little bit. So you should go ahead and describe the Martha moment because I, I didn't get it at first when you're Martha moment. So BB s we have this epic showdown, Batman versus superman and the only thing that could get them to stop biting the word Martha bright Bisharat mother's name. So, you know, one of the white as Martha the ones look what did you see that name biting? And now they're best friends, right? Right. Super corny super dunk ways. There's no questioning right? So in this movie, we have crazy Chucky. He's already learned all his bad programming because he has all his program. Restrictions turned off my some grunt, disgruntled employee who is now dead. So you can't do it again apart to, I don't know how where are going to bring back Chucky and part to his not his name in even Chucky short for Charles, Lisa. Oh, where the fuck he get Chucky from anyway. Chuck going crazy. He's murdering everybody and then Andy. And why are you gonna main the boy and be if there's no Charles Lee Ray? Right. But you got the boy, Andy and the boy Andy is go ahead and start singing the my buddy song or whatever the new song is called, right? From the start singing the buddy song. And then Chucky has his moment of weakness. He has that Martha moment what he looks and he, he stops he freezes dead in his tracks, just like superman and Batman, did they start singing the song? And then all of a sudden, we forgot what we were doing the entire movie jockey snaps out of it. What was that about that was trash? They probably could have used something else for a distraction, like, you know, like good writing. How about that? Yeah. What was the point of Mark Hamill? Why was Mark Hamill, even Chucky, the voice of Chuckie? It's Mark him icon. Ick boy, where's I con it. The only thing that he did was sing that song, at the end of the movie that was fucking by. Right. That's it. That was the best part. Of his voice, he role, he didn't do a lot of menacing as Chucky and by menacing. I mean just having to use that sinister sorta boys. I'll avoid that we all grew up with. Oh with him as joker. You know saying, right. We thought we thought when we saw Mark Hamill was gonna play Chucky. We all thought all that's it. We know the commercial looks bad, but his Mark Hamill right wrong. Again, just glad just a quick entertaining fund ride for me. And I loved that Berwanger attaining and fun. Yes. Scary horror. No, no. It wasn't everybody laughed. Everybody in the theater was laughing the whole time the whole movie was a comedy to everybody in the data. Nobody was scared you jumped in the parts that make you jump, because you have to jump were human, right? We have can reactions. Right. So for for a scene to make you to start. Oh, you that's not how you compare good. Good scary movie. Come on. Yeah. All right. Yeah. Moving on Chucky. Was trash you liked it. I know a couple of people that liked it. I think I'm the only person with feels the way I feel about it. Well, what have you. Now, this is we're not gonna agree or disagree on because what are you watching, because you're watching different things than I did you guys minimum? So we've been watching a lot of things and, you know, we watch that's what we do. We watch. So I think oh, you know what I want to talk about. Jessica Jones says it was the last the last season that we're going to get last marble show. We're getting on Netflix last marvel show again on Netflix. And you know, we were both disappointed in Jessica Jones season to season two, I think got through three or four episodes. I it was a tour to get through. I I'm quoted you could quote me on that. Jessica Jones season two was a chore right? Archer nothing nothing bad,.

"Chicks on the right side at no back because I didn't recognize that this is actual music Robert child's play theme from the original movie. Okay. So which qualifies is having good eighties Friday, is okay. So the original one, I think was made the regional child's play movie was made in nineteen eighty eight. That is the one that I walked out on what you said. Yes. So I walked out of two movies in my life. One was child's play. And the other one was vanilla ice ally. Is also walked out. Vanilla, I loved it. Oh is. I actually saw in Vegas. With with mock and a couple of other friends, but Vanilla Sky, I walked out of that movie I'm because it was Tom Cruise Cameron Crowe movie which I was really disappointed because I usually like Cameron Crowe movies all time favorite movie fast times, ridgemont, high high and he did what's almost famous, and I'd like he's really usually pretty good, but that movie was back. Yeah. so did you think it was child's play was too hokey or just was i mean we're too afraid no i wasn't too afraid it was just i was a junior in high school and i was like i'm not sitting through this i'm not gonna sit through this i'm not i i don't know if those my attention span or what but i just thought this is so dumb because it's a doll it's dog can somebody just not take this doll out back and burned it with fire this is the dumbest thing ever people like you ruined horror movies because you try to apply logic to them i don't understand what the kim they just take the dole and kill it i don't understand why the kid do just take it and kill it and that's the thing i don't understand why this thing has now this they're redoing it that's coming out this weekend now we should point out this is a theme that many horror movies have done over the past decade is they have remade the original like halloween yeah they did this nightmare on elm street and friday the thirteenth they literally it's not a new one in the series it's like they start all over and Remain original and this one is supposed to be really good. And, you know, it's, it's I guess, with all the digital effects and everything it's supposed to be way, better than the first one ever was the way understand it because, of course, the, the original one with Charles Lee Ray invades, the body, or the, the doll the spirit of the serial killer killer. But in this one, it's like if I understand correctly, it's art official intelligence, this doll, just learn how to kill based on things that he sees on television. So let's take the fun out of it really the doll. The doll was funny told Joe nine thousand nine hundred. I was whatever five. So did you not see this until you're thought I saw on the television version when I was a kid. Okay. I didn't see the theater version until I was probably nine or ten at the video store. But I remember as a kid, whenever it was on television, clean up. You know, the violence and the language when I was six or seven I mean, it's okay, they say the voice now for the voices. Oh, it's Mark Hamill. No kidding. The voice voices now. And so I just the whole thing I would I'm not interested in this at all. I listen. I'm not a big horror movie kind of gal. That's not really my John rea-. I like it fits like Halloween. Oh watch. They originally one because it wasn't so gory and wasn't so gross. It's a little bit more suspenseful the suspense thing. But if it's just a flat-out gore gore fest. I'm not your girl. I'm not going to watch that. But this is this is dumb. It's a doll. I can't believe that there's there's five of these now. Seriously? People pervert was his personality, though. He was funny. You know, he tell jokes. That's why. Freddie. Krueger would kill people. Really? Gory. Always joke about about it. Yes. But anyways, that's happening this week. I it is though an insight into the mind of Hollywood, which is they have no new ideas. You're absolutely right. They're redoing, everything. They're redoing every single thing now. But, you know, listen, the second one that we're talking about his Toy Story for, which is now I will see that. I will tell so the duck. It is what the, the little toys. Harshly. I will see this, because my nine year old is dying to see it. Yes. Yes. And there's a lot there's a ton of nostalgia in this in this movie, because, you know, I mean we've seen the off off all three of them. All is dumb. It's the dollars toys, but the dolls that talk not done robbed. I can't explain it to you the sweet dolls or not done. Now. I will see this because I I'm emotionally invested in the first three because I have been forced to be emotionally invested in the first of all like when they came, and we've seen them all my, and my daughter just loves all of these and yeah. This, she's not even really that into all of the she's not into a lot of movies. But this, this series she is, you know, and she, she just loves all of them. Yeah. She loves buzz and it's got startling. It does have star power. And we will, you know, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, any pots, and, and, you know, John j-o-h-n cusak. And I think he's gonna reason this. I don't know. Think he may be like I got I got to make a confession. I've never seen any of the toys, and you haven't what's wrong with you? I think I saw part of one when the first one when I was a kid. Yeah. Because I mean it's been twenty years or. Right. That they've been going on these stories, and like the third one was such a tear Jerker. Oh, the kid goes to college. Yeah, you don't care. You don't care about any of the fake kid. Is this considered a cartoon? It's all animated. But, you know, like I said you become emotionally invested. So you're, you're tear jerking over an animated go to college. but the doll that kills people is dumb listened to that thing needs to be a fire in the backyard which i would have done that this is the thing i don't know why somebody just can't end its life with just getting a orange take care of it you know what i mean i don't understand that whole chucky thing that's all i'm saying rob i don't understand it so yes toy story for is a moss that's happening this weekend the vanilla sky don't ever see it guys haven't even know sky i'm telling you right now don't waste your time don't ever rent it it's the worst thing ever is there anything else that i i think we have a little bit of extra time and this is some actual news i'm gonna tell you this really quick it's you know we talked a couple of weeks ago about san francisco in the school district there that wanted to cover up a really ouchi mural of george washington triggered yeah because george washington is very ouchi father of our country it hurts everybody's feel bads it's going to cost six hundred thousand dollars to do that what yes so the life of washington Which graces, the foyer of George Washington, high school in San Francisco, they are now deciding whether either to paint over the mural at a cost of six hundred thousand hide it behind paneling at a cost of eight hundred seventy five thousand or hide it behind a curtain or curtains for the low price of three hundred thousand. Yeah. This these numbers seem a tad, especially since they need teachers. So they totally desperately in need of teachers right now because, you know, San Francisco like it's hard for teachers to work there because they can't afford to live. Why is it so much? I. Well, this is just what it cost. This is what they're saying. Take some curtains and put it in front of it. Right. So they're going with the middle option, which is six hundred thousand dollars, which is the paint job. And just so, you know, that's six hundred thousand dollars could support one newly hired teacher for more than six years, but, you know, screw that we're going to go with the paint job because we don't want to like, hurt. The feel bads of all these people and find, like a local artist or someone who does graffiti on the Bill guiding Joe paint over it. Let me just tell the guy on the street share basic property, just use our mural exists. I could've done it for less than six hundred grand I can take my bathroom. What are they going to paint? Does it say I have no idea what they're going to paint this anyways, just because these people are social Justice warriors in there. There. They have the feel bads over George Washington, just everybody knows six hundred grand..

I made one hundred and fifty three hundred dollars. Thank you comb. It is nineteen minutes past the hour. You are listening to weekend on the BBC World Service to China. Now, we're the man who served as the personal secretary to the Chinese communist party, founder mounts. Don has died at the age of one hundred and one in the late nineteen fifties Lee actors one of mouse confidence, but his criticisms of mouse, great leap forward policies, which resulted in mass famine that several periods in prison and rural exile I've been speaking about liras life with Chung Li the director of the China program at the Brookings institute in Washington DC. He was extraordinary figure in many ways. He represents a very small liberal wing of the communist party, neither ships and he also serve as the deputy minister of organization department after cultural revolution and under his watch the promoted many young leaders, including a later on Xi Jinping. Now, he was ordinary for a number of reasons and the first he was very critical of Mao especially that greatly before that actually caught him trouble. And he was in jail for eighty years during the cultural washing and his final years, especially after nine hundred eighty nine Cameron. He really call for democratic reform and also media freedom. He really was quite remarkable wasn't he because he didn't shy away from openly criticizing mouths Dong. And the policies under him that led to mass famine during the great leap forward. But even later in his life. He was one of the very few who would openly criticized the current president Xi Jinping. Indeed. Although his criticism of heating eight I should've plugged dot com. Many ways people like him underestimated seizing pinks capacity at he walked critical about the educational Bagwell. But the reality is that she's UP really surprised that many people. But of course, there's rumors about his strong concern about term limits. And this certainly show is continuation of his political view for more transparent open and democratic China. So that's quite extraordinary. Current leaders. I see so leave Ray was open in his concern that CG ping had removed. The term limits on his own tenure at the very top of the party. Yes. But again when cheating was promoted in the nineteen eighties. Leary poverty, play important role, by the way. His father was a personal friend of Lee Ray said it a lot of things about him his father who was also a liberal either in many ways, so Lee, though, he can't quite be described as a dissident because he existed within the party, didn't he? Yeah. He was part of the party establishment. But he always voiced his dissent. Wasabi cheaper forward at Three Gorges dam and also the media control the censorship and lack of transparency into physician making process and the lack of even the incapacity Markazi. So again, he remained as a symbol and kill his best. Now that he's gone. Is there anyone else in China who is like him who can operate as a relatively open critic? Oh, yes. Another person come to my mind is she was director for American studies. The cars academy of social sciences, and the she serve as also personal secretary for so and lie at very much engaged in China's foreign policy and the sheet remain as kind of a symbolic leader for ever wing of the establishment. Although the number is small, but we hear putting the plus to you that you do see the paradox who trained on one hand is a very tight control. But the same time today's China, really tremendous of inflammation, going on have social media people allowed to travel abroad, and they can read foreign us, and if they can break, fire war, and etc. So it's a different situation. I still attentions fifteen the call for media freedom and the political transparency. Ed, the political democracy will continue to get momentum's for the same time. You can see the very tight control on the part of the leadership at you many ways. This is also required to convert eternity with the revolution. And it's a challenge not only for China. But also for me as a country of either way of governance, so in that regard. I'm Jay optimistic. I see more young people and also they don't alike, very tight media control at all. That was professor Chung Li speaking to me from Washington DC, ten states across the US are currently dealing with measles. Outbreaks the cases stretch from New York state to Texas as well as the Pacific northwest. Whether I've been fifty nine cases so far this year at the moment, seventeen states in the US allow parents to refuse to vaccinate their children, citing personal or religious reasons. However, there's now a debate about restricting those exemptions from Vancouver in Washington state. Dan Johnson reports in the snowy suburbs of Washington state. It isn't just the cold weather keeping people indoors. I'm dan. Hi, this is one of the families. Now living in fear of measles because a quarter of parents here in Clark county of chosen not to vaccinate their children baby Leon is still too young for the job. What is this? So for mom, amber, Goro and Leon sister Eleanor leaving home. Now feels like a dangerous guessing game. Yeah, it's been I think at least a month. So having a two month old means for at least half of his life. We've been kind of stuck inside because it's not worth the risks. This is one corner of America where measles has made a comeback twenty years after officials declared the disease eradicated from the US. There are already cases across the river in Oregon. So the challenge is to contain the outbreak and convince parents who are suspicious reluctant or complacent. There are schools in Clark county, well, less than a third of the children are protected. Doctor Allen Melnik is the director of public health and bring measles into a population. That's unvaccinated. It's exquisitely contagious. It's like taking a match and throwing it into hell gasoline. It'll spread very quickly measles is one of the most contagious diseases..

"Lee raid Lee Ray, the man came close to him and said come here little monkey let me hear you music. I enjoy it very much all the time. The man was coming closer and closer to the monkey just as he was about to reach out his hand. And sees the monkey the monkey gave a sudden leap to a tree and hurried away to the tree top after that every time the man heard the monkey play the guitar. He would come near and try to catch him the monkey grew afraid of the man so afraid that he gave up playing his guitar at all for a long longtime. He did not play upon it one day. He felt he just must have some music. He hid in a hole in the ground. And there he played upon his guitar. He did not think the man would hear him. But the man had very sharp ears when he got through playing. He started to come out of the hole in the ground. And there was the man waiting for him. He quickly crawled back so far that the man could not catch him the monkey waited and waited for the man to go away. But the man. Not go away after a while the man became thirsty and went to get a drink. He left his little boy in his place to watch for the monkey after the man had gone away the monkey called out to the little boy who little little. You know, a nice move. And sometimes you'll see the comments, and it's pretty clear that there's not a lot to glean from from a grass horse that's working on the main, and they just sort of tolerate you know, you see that comment. A lot of times to tolerates the dirt. Really don't have any choice. You know? So that being said some horses doesn't bother. I don't think net shares. It really bothers him. You know, he's very he's just a grill. Good moving horse and preferred to work on the turf, but. You'll see a lot of my horses that are grass voices working on the train track kinda Nita. Sure. It's just a different servants more of a sandy surface. Tighter turns and. Sometimes the grass horses. The main track of needed very it's a heavy heavy dirt, and it's not easy to get through. Uncharacteristically slow. I mean that beer Baffert talk about it all the time. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know what the deal is. I think is partly the material, you know. And it's just it's just really heavy. I, you know, they used to work fifty nine hundred now they work one or two three right, right? Any course it works minute. It's like, wow. It's a. You know, that's like Calder. That's the way it used to be called or years ago. It's bad. You should know. No, no. If you're going to bring a horse over here from another surface like, you know, run dirt you're gonna kind of be a disadvantage. No something horses coming from Sam Lee Ray, and they run on the dirt here there. You know, you can work in a bunch of times. But sometimes. A little bit short because of this heavy heavy dirt here. Sure. We've we've seen. We've had that. There's there's all kinds of you know, all kinds of places we just had the conversation earlier today with with David FOX. And he and he talked about you know, going over to Tampa. He's got the horse that he's working at Gulfstream, and he goes over to Tampa, and they slog through it. It's not, you know, it's a different the action. The just don't they don't necessarily get over at the same way. Well, get help. Training over the surface. Yes, I mean turf that really doesn't seem to matter so much. Some of the courses. Yeah. It's good to get a few breezes over the track for sure. I want to ask you about one one more that you've got coming up on Friday. Tell us about that animal kingdom Philly that is seemingly is going to find a home on the grass seed that cat. Yeah. Hopefully stays on the grass. And she certainly come around. You know, I always thought she was pretty good horse and shine real bad the first time and decided, you know, what I didn't think she ran bad the second time. And I it's like talking to the owner like no way. Tried to on the grass and try long. And she turned it around. So he's trained very well coming up to this race. So no actually put it in a straight maiden. So we'll see what happens. Well in November. She went the mile and a sixteenth in a maiden sixty two five, and and it was a very good second. And that really did lift her head, and so two turns on the grass and this is a mile and an eighth it's the fourth race. And there's actually it's funny. These are four and ups, and they're feels like even though there's a, you know, they're all older maidens. It's a good group. Have you looked at this field?.

"Legal terms. It's called a slam dunk when you have video of someone pouring a bucket of shit favorite story, though is that it splattered. Aren't they pre? Because you can't really get out of strike. So that seven Levin that was revelation seven eleven in Florida, though. Oh, oh, I see. That's targets hats. Shelvin eleven he's the one that wrote a letter to them at requesting shopping carts. That would be. Well, it's time to vote friends. You've heard the cases. Where voting on the two three. None of that. That's just one of your normal Omni's easy. We have several right. More coming ten of them. Definitely I thought this was another little discussion they had to do with feces. I also a lot to get through solicitor both stories there, Danny ocean. The seven eleven. Our next nominee is equality verifier. Here's here's another. Here's this lady is from Florida, but she just probably originally from Canada, the raccoon Queen. Yeah. She's seventy three years old. And she wanted to make sure that she was smoking real methamphetamine. She's seventy three. Well, she knows value. Yeah. She's she's wants to make sure I'm not getting screwed here. The old ladies, you know, people take advantage of sure. So she took her the drugs are doctor for testing. Oh, yeah. Crystal. She took her crystal meth to the doctor make sure she was getting good yet. Forgive my language, folks. Good shit. She lives in Polk County, Barbara Lee Ray, that's her name, Barbara LeRoy said she was scared of what smoking it was doing to her. According to the Miami hill, which side interest of it. They and brought her doctor at the complete care family medicine associates office to clear plastic bags painting crystal except did they still hander the sign in clipboard. She got there. Okay. We need to your Medicaid card. That's good stuff better. That was that was one of your previous appearance. It was and I earned it the nominees. Do you? Remember that day? No. Well, that was interesting someone that old shouldn't be doing crystal meth, unless they're on their way, gee, just bags two bags to the doctor not just like one, but two. And tell me friends when they say two bags what size bag, are you picturing? I'm. Now math can is. It's see I wanted to a gallon size. I'm saying like a little sandwich bag I wanted to be a hefty hefty shack. Phil. Breaking bad type situation that it's at least a quarter a gallon size. It's a lot of money like one of those bags you fill up with candy. Oh, so it's got a lot of money for math. She's seventy three. So it's obviously a reusable grocery bag that she's used her now. All right. Really ray. You're a nominee. Let's hear the next one. Pilot ship. Mike, Dwayne Johnson. Iraq was arrested at a giant food store after in Virginia after an employee called nine one one about destruction of property, apparently he was rubbing produce on his butt and putting it back on the show like pulling his pants down naked crash. Dude wipes sponsors. These dude. Doing everything wrong. Guess. I guess I gotta go to grocery store. Do it. So was it getting fecal on the produce? It just says that employer employee saw him pull down his pants rubbing food items on his bare, but and employees had a destroy several palates of produce because they could have been tainted by his bare high painting. This is I would throw this in the category, mental illness. What do you what would you throw it in? I don't know. Maybe it's just trying to test the hell ripe things how you can't test. It that way. I mean, maybe his, but has better sense, Dan by hand that are born that way to white. Yeah. Not guarantees not using like a prickly pear on there. They said it was fruit in the report. It's I hope he was applying. I hope. Artichoke? Awful dragging fruits. Mental illness side. There's a pineapple is insane. If it was like if it's an apple like, maybe he's just kinky. The bananas. What a sick world we live in. What a twisted world, we live in kind of pun intended. What kind of pieces shit. Takes produce the rack at a an employee. No, he he just came in. And we just walked off the street employee's caught him. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So we don't know the motive. No, he just they don't know why he did it drugs. There's no way he's not just like on ecstasy, and he just needed to rub up against he's probably..
