I mean, think about all the winds pushing that water in and well inland. We're expecting some of the search even to get north of I 10 in certain areas. So if you think about that, its destructive even the storm surge could destroy houses and destroy structures. Just incredibly dangerous situation for for all those folks. The storm is expected to dump up to 15 inches of rain along parts of the Gulf Coast. The state of Louisiana is getting help from Oklahoma in the onslaught of Hurricane Laura. "It's been 21,000, Katie. Okay, and the Dr Lee Matthews. So did you watch any of the election returns last night, man? Oh, man. Stephanie Vice did pull it out. And she is now the official candidate to take on Kendra Horn in November, and she's joining us now on NewsRadio. 1000. Katie. Okay, Stephanie. Congratulations. Thank you so much. Lily feels great. I know. I know it does. And I know when you're in a situation like that, you got to be prepared for both. You got to be prepared for a disappointment. If it comes, you have to be prepared for a victory. If it comes and I was on pins and needles watching those results come in. That was a really close race, especially in the beginning there and we were all on wheels. Certainly I was thrilled with the margin of victory. The outcome, especially considering that the club for Growth Group Theory Journal, never Trumper organization. Been almost a million dollars total in the primary in this runoff election to try to defeat me and I just I want to thank Oklahoman for seeing through the rhetoric and the lives that they were spreading on DH, accusing the Republican nominee to take on her horn in November. Well, and I'm wondering it. Will they court you now with with this this new challenge, or are they just leave in town or what? Do you want to talk to him? I think they like the air leaving town but have taken them. I have no idea what their long term plan is. But certainly we have a lot of people that are interested in this race. As you probably know. This race has been deemed the top Republican take back opportunity in the country. Kendra Horn has been named the most vulnerable Democrats in the country, and so there are going to be a lot of outside forces that are going to want to play in this race on both sides of the aisle. So I think this is going to be a race that Oklahomans have never seen before. I think so is well And and Stephanie Vice is with us who won the runoff last night will go up against Kendra Horn. Let's talk about that for a moment. I mean, what? What? I don't I know you can't divide told some of your strategy. But what? What do you How do you plan to go after Kendra Horn in the seat? Well, I think there's you know, a couple of things first. Remember that Kendra won this feat by a very small margin in 2018 33 100 votes out of 240,000 CAF? And so we do expect high turnout for this general election in November because the president is on the ballot again. But it will be a all hands on deck effort to make sure that we Organize a grassroots game and ensure that we execute the plan that we will strategize and put in place Tio when this November 3rd election, and it is November 3rd, so there's not a lot of time to turn things around. I imagine you have to hit the ground running. Actually, yes. You know, we celebrated the victory last night and it is back to work today. Tio begin the game plan for our November 3rd win. That's the other disappointing thing about an election in this pandemic. Stephanie Bisou really couldn't have much of a party. Could you or watch party? Well, we did actually have a watch party. People were very I think, causes some more math. We had luck with he and sanitizer and we're trying to be thoughtful about it. But, you know, I think it's what's been difficulties. Really, You know, getting out engaging in the community. We have had the ability on great success with doing outdoor events where we've had some Breakfast at various parts across the city much through area on DH That's been successful field probably see a lot more of that. We also then Facebook town halls, hyun calls and certainly Kevin presents a little bit of a challenge..

"News with Lee Matthew Senator Jim Inhofe is one of the major sponsors of the National Defense Authorization Act. It has made it to the floor. And he's got a progress report on joins us now Senator Inhofe. Thanks for joining us this morning. Let's review what the N D A is and why it is so wonderful for Oklahoma Way we talked about this before the India is the National Defense Authorization Act. It's the biggest bill of the years, the one that It decides what we're gonna do to defend America for the following 12 months, and it's one that you know you spend all year preparing for and then you pass it in one day. From the committee to the Senate floor, So it's on the Senate floor right now and bring a piece probably take it up after the Fourth of July, but view if we had about two hours, I'll tell you what all is in there that would benefit Oklahoma and I'm talking about things that you have a lot of Tigger people, and we're going to do that. KC 46. We talked about that before, but that actually is going to be a huge benefit to the state of Oklahoma. Now that vehicle that is, we've used KC 1 35 for 60 years, and this is going to replace that, And that means that we're going to be able to transport people and goods into into the area. So that's what that's what it does. We have. Ah, baby Baby, 21 that's going to be in Tinker. And oh, by the way, the KC 46 It's going to be used for training and out and then it's going to be used for for maintenance taker. The same is to be 21. That's going to be the big bomber. We have things that Oklahoma State University they've been doing great work on drink on drones. So we have a grant for them in this bill that is going to help them do their research. So anyway, it's It's a great bill and the problem that we had We talked about this before the people in anywhere around. They don't understand what happened to the military during the Obama years during the eight years during his last five years, the that would be from 2010 to 2015. He reduced spending for the military. 25% That's never happened before. Well, so we finally with the bill that we're doing right now are are catching up. Actually, China and Russia both got ahead of us during that time frame. So that Bill now is honest way, Tio. It is passed out of the committee and on the Senate floor. Then we're going to be faced with the vote to do with the House bill on and I don't think it's any big secret that the Democrat controlled House is not a CZ Pro defense as we are in the Senate, so that's what's going on. And it's going to be a lot of benefits to the state of a moment. I've got the notes right here and you're right. It's a It's a whole lot of things that I'm sure we can find posted online somewhere. If only here on Katie okay dot com. Okay, you do that. You'll get those who don't find what they want on your website. They were probably expand a little bit more, and they get it. And people should yet that they need to know what's going on. Not just for the economic benefit of our five major military establishments in Oklahoma, but we're talking about defending America. This is the big deal. So I'm good to us. And why do you ask that? Firstly well, though, I know it's important to you. I know you've been working on a good wild senator Jim Inhofe. Let's Let's move on to the police reform bill that I know is about to be introduced in the Senate and debated You know it. I wish everyone in the state of Oklahoma could have heard the speech that Tim Scott made yesterday on the Senate floor. It was the most passionate speech I've heard in all the years I've been here now. Tim Scott is a Republican, and he's a conservative. He is a black and he is the one who's authored a police reporting bill. A justice bill. And what it does it doesn't you know, Right now we're hearing from the liberals. We want to do away with law enforcement. Just do it with police. And that's just that's part of the Democratic platform. But on this one of which I am a co sponsor, that he is the one he's designed this thing. It's a law enforcement reform. It changes response practices in tactics within the law enforcement community instead advises the non lethal outcomes. It has accountability in a way that You know, it requires body worn cameras for officers. It does away with some of the things that you know you wouldn't longer when they some law enforcement officers, actually. Went into a house without knocking without any preparation in actually killed the wrong person just you know, well, it's called a no knock warrant position that's going to be required. So we have a lot of things that specific things that can't be done. The technique that was used was killed three weeks ago and then something that you kind of surprised him. It makes lynching a federal crime and, you know, everyone assumes that that's always been the case. But that's what he did. Tim Scott went to search through the records and found that these are the logical things that would be would preclude bad things from happening and also be helped Teo. To the enforcement officers, So I think you know, I think we get that pass will have a hard time in the house getting it past because their inclination in the house that is too Just do away with law enforcement. Stay tuned on that one. And you're in this good place to stay tuned because you Lee Matthews know what's going on, and you can inform the people on a daily basis. Well, I certainly appreciate that Senator Jim Inhofe on NewsRadio 1000 Katie. Okay, and I will continue the conversation and featured on the later with Leigh Matthews Podcast. You can always download that on the I Heart radio ab Absolutely free or look forward at Katie okay dot com and my Facebook page..

"Afternoon at five with me Lee Matthews news radio one thousand Katie okay from the standing rock ranch god's country and not surprisingly not the great state of of Texas but they're pretty darn good state of Idaho were we're glad you're listening today thank you so much did you hear the story of the guy in California that was just driving down the street and he was in the you know California gas and electric truck or whatever the hell it is and and he has his hand out and he's cracking his knuckles and as he's cracking his first knuckle he kind of makes the he kind of makes the peace sign error the okay sign which we all know is racist which is not racist which was it was it was started as a medium and it was started by when they start about like four chan people there yeah making fun and saying let's try to make everybody believe yep so it's not even races it was ace it was the joker was trying to show what sheep Americans are Americans are yeah so he's cracking his knuckles will somebody takes a picture of it and said oh my gosh look at this racist making making this racist hand sign why would you do I mean is this anyway he loses his job he then has the person who who wrote this said I didn't mean for him to lose his job I mean I I made of bag may have been wrong about that and he says you were wrong about it I was cracking my knuckles now he's a Hispanic guy so the person that filed the not even the complaint just social media Hey what's going on that person has said all right no I was wrong I was wrong it wasn't a racist thing the gas company will not hire him back he wants his job back I don't know why he wants his job back we called to see if he ever would get his job back and they double down the first national interview with him is coming up on tomorrow's program you don't want to miss it it is it's an unbelievable story but this is happening everywhere I'm a Reagan S. Q. day who is a turning point USA ambassador also a Christian she made a video and she was talking about Y. E. B. L. M. is is not a Christian movement this is not the way Christ would want us to do things well my gosh somebody in her office saw how offensive that was and within fifteen minutes she lost her job we have Reagan on the phone with us hello Reagan how are you hi I'm great how are you good so Reagan were you named after Ronald Reagan you know it's funny my nickname growing up was Reaganomics my mom called me that and I still answer to it to this day I don't know what she named me after but my nickname definitely is attributed to okay so Reagan what did you say that was so horrible and and Serra please be ready on the edit button go ahead well you know I was really Mr back I was addressing the evangelical church seeing the way Christian pastors and leaders have then just twisting the true gospel of the Bible and and making the social gospel narrative it was really upsetting and sad to me because I feel like it's very misleading to believers and I posted a video discussing the black lives matter organization what it stands for and why Christians should be focusing on the gospel which ultimately reconciled hearts and and fixes the sin problem of racism on and that rather than calling for action and and you know focusing on like racial reconciliation and and things that are are not of Christ well there's no reconciliation with with B. L. M. and this move and there is no racial recognition there's there is beg for forgiveness but you can't really even know what you're sorry for because you don't know what you're guilty for because you're white and you have to go through them for forgiveness and there is no forgiveness as I just pointed out the problem with that is the only one that can truly grant forgiveness is god you're coming in because you're white with original sin well that goes against we we don't hold people responsible for what their fathers or their great grandfathers did it any time the god doesn't hold people responsible you hold you as an individual and never a collective this social justice garbage that is being shoveled by many of our churches there is just that garbage and an affront to god when man declares there's an original sin that you have to pay for because of what somebody else did a hundred and fifty years ago and there is no real forgiveness for you because you're white or black or yellow or orange it doesn't matter that's an affront to god and I don't know white churches are getting this yeah I definitely agree and I think I think too Mr back there has been a Trojan horse of social justice within the church for a very long time and I think you know after the torch Floyd incident things have come to their peak and so the church is kind of in a place where if they don't address that it would be an injustice to congregants it would appear but it's a shame really that the church has drifted so far from teaching theology that they have to you know as scripture says tickle the ears of those willing to listen and they have to call for worldly virtuous nis over spiritual righteousness and it's just a dangerous line to walk I think you have a a congregation of people who come to church on Sunday to hear the gospel and walk away and worship but many church leaders are sharing a motivational speech with strips scripture sprinkled in that congregants walk away with a world a call to action which ultimately does not say if so you the reaction when you posted this you do you didn't think you'd get any blow back or did you I don't think I expected to get as much as I got most of my my following on social media is Christian conservatives who very much you know hold the same beliefs ideal so I really was speaking to them I did not expect it you know obviously social media reaches everyone but I didn't get to blow up the way that it did and so I mean I got backlash he didn't give me I got backlash probably for a solid twenty four to forty eight hours and it just it was a lot but I think it's something people needed to hear so I I've I haven't you you lost your job because somebody in your office saw this post and said you are a racist and need to be terminated and with fifty within fifteen minutes I'm told that you were in the office of the boss and they.

"That says the pandemic should have never happened and how to keep it from happening again this afternoon at five with me Lee Matthews it's the drive news radio one thousand Katie okay welcome to the club program for life from the standing rock ranch we're glad you're here today Steven Crowder had to bump him because I was in the middle of an inflamed conversation or monologue last hours away but I'm glad that he was willing to come on an hour later welcome to the program Steven Crowder well I'm glad to hear you say you had an inflamed monologue because you because I know you're such a great broadcaster you're doing it like that James Spader sort of dramatic effect but but you say hadn't yet royal or possible yeah it had some flame hemorrhoids and I just couldn't I thought Stephen the hemorrhoids we're gonna talk about him right now because it's for the underwrites nine twenty is Stephen you did you went down on wearing to Dallas right like the day after the riots he went in the the morning at the appeared to be and you talk to a graffiti artist and I wanted to have you on Stephen because I I don't know I don't know how we have conversations when the conversations were having with people don't make sense to one side or the other the things that he was saying to you bye I don't know how to even logically address those things can you explain what happened and and what your thoughts are well not I can't logically explain what happened so a spoiler I don't want anyone to be disappointed but yeah you know you say you want you to tell me that I went down the day after the right which one you know so we went down one day after a day of writing we want to develop right you know hipster neighborhood where everything was either kicked in boarded up and like when I did this with Detroit I thought it was important because people see the riots going on at night you see the police into the barricades and you know maybe some of them get run over with the pans or something and they see tweets about but a lot of people don't know what the remnants look like and so it was many many many many block all boarded up and the board up because the windows are gone so the plan was just to walk through and show people what this is you know what this is been my can you see out walls and fences with nails your makeshift blast but on top of it the people are obviously concerned in protecting the neighborhood so that's how it started and then there was yeah a vandal doing a mural on a wall of a business justice for desoto got the name wrong it's desto though obviously not to update on what actually happened with that story and it was I don't know if I can describe he happened to be when we called the police it was a very awkward scenario my producers again there's a guy here who's writing in a building in getting hostile as it can you describe him to us because well he's in about five ten dark hair is what closes the winnings he's not wearing clothes and then that officer said black why is that I don't know why does that matter Mr policeman this guy was vandalizing his property and I initially to surpasses any that's beautiful I thought initially have permission to because it was you know kind of a mural and then speak to him I realize how shifty he was he probably didn't have permission and he said that you know all these white people in your pen houses were sparing you were sparing you because you take our lightning thing you people you meaning white people as long as I can we will let's let's let's get that out that's pretty racist and then he started getting in my face and he insulted me for that and here's think one at I've talked about this on air a lot whenever I wear a blue shirt and my glasses black guys usually friendly the comic part yeah so I had a cab driver using no I get it big white guys with you know the traditional hair cut glasses of wine but this guy use it as an insult nothing haha Superman please stop so what so I have to take my shirt off yet Mr are brought in dean Cain about you would do is I know so he got upset he got unruly and you know try to get my face a little bit and obviously I I think a lot of people as you know our our sort of cowardly because innocent hate listen we can talk but don't get in my face he's been back then another gentleman in a white gentleman who looks like he walked out of a you know like bobcat at world of Warcraft character shortfall beard came out and said Hey I'm a part of the deep Ellum community association something rather not elected governing body Glenn we did some research just a bunch of hipsters who say that they have authority and he said well I've we've given this man permission to do this on this building I still can lose a business owner show up while I get where the city community could county that he has the right as what was the business owner but I don't know well turns out the business owner actually didn't give permission this guy has done it three times before and it's been out white washed over so it's not hard it's been to listen and the part that you guys don't know is the very next morning at sunrise I was planning to go down as Bob Ross and paint over it towards unfortunately my team said it was and they said well the opposite would look bad if you're painting over a black man's mural with white any other is restoring it to the color that was what the wall was M. race you could have put a little like a little friendly bird over here another friendly tree it was a it was a birch it was white sorry little very little vandal here welcome all Steven I don't know who talked you out of that but you have to go and do I have to say I was Bob Ross painting over by one but you know they were afraid I don't unless it's very realism and he's in the business owner has done it several times he just doesn't have the time to do it every day and I know some people say well just by what what the reason the fly what is up is because windows have been kicked in the walls are also vandalized and if I run a business I don't want a political message on my business that's my right I don't understand why this is hard he then tried to post my address which they were unable to do they talk they compared me to a not these people one on social media I'm a **** for saying Hey you have the right to protest you don't have the right display somebody else's stuff and you know what here's the thing that people are being dragged out and beaten in the street yeah officers are being shot including black people and it's absolutely terrible I was broken up about David Dorn yesterday Crichton aways arms like a baby you know why as I said it's not a movie and evil one over good today that was a good man who shot dead for a television all that bothers me but let's reduce that let's reduce that to less extreme example someone destroying your property is forfeiting their rights to security the ideal scenario is not that you shoot him but I am tired of Americans powering and saying well you know what we should just let him do it it's only stuff because you don't know what's only stuff how many times have we seen people take stuff and shoot people on the way out how many times we see people come in and say Hey we're just taking your stuff and then I want to make sure there are no witnesses by the way George floor did that stuck his gun into a pregnant ladies belly while five of his friends committed strong armed robbery ended five years in prison not saying you deserve to die at the hands of the police officer can't those things both be true George Floyd should not be your emblem he was a criminal and he didn't turn his life around he still had a hard core drugs multiple drugs in his system and the police officer was not what was a D. word for doing what he did all these things are true not excuses people acting like enemy a list of dogs black white yellow by the way that includes white guys who shoot black cops don't make it a racial thing if you wanna make you feel guilty I don't care I don't care Stephen are you I worry that in Minnesota we have Keith Ellison who is one of the most radical people he's the Attorney General he just opted from third degree murder to third degree murder to second degree murder yeah which is harder to prove it's you start to go into intent and everything else your recklessness you can prove and that's third degree murder may be second degree murder but I fear that this they won't really want to this to be kicked out and him to be found innocent so they can have another stab at it are you concerned about this at all what did you do you say that you think that that's their play they they want him to go free so they can actually Brian Moore that's interest maybe but I definitely think that that the because the effect sorry will be for sure this guy is is going to get off because it's far harder to prove second degree murder at that point you are basically going to have to and they also want to write the one who died the the other officers as well for I if I'm not mistaken assessor re who gathered cemetery murder yeah to murder I'm not one of the hospital well one of the officers said get off may you should turn over what is he supposed it is the only not guilty of us of being an accessory to murder unless he beats his fellow officer like this is a really a precedent set I do think it's very hard to prove because you effectively have to prove a motive if this guy went out with the intent to Lynch a black guy that day and if you can't he walked I think that manslaughter was probably appropriate I said that seems like justice let's wait and see what see what we get with the trial and see what the what the the judgment is but yeah I I don't know if it's their plan at this point but I do think that it's harder to prove to put it more likely that justice will do you put it past a group of people that have been lecturing us about corona virus and how dangerous it is we ought to stay and otherwise they gonna hall are asked to jail and you know that would be like give me liberty or give me death your member that quote from Los Angeles ET meanwhile you have the Attorney General in a Soros backed Attorney General in Michigan or Missouri I can't remember that is just all of the protesters and all of the writers go they come in and he said not gonna prosecute I mean we're living in a time where good is evil and evil is good and it doesn't seem to me that there's anybody that's willing to stand up and go excuse me rule of law well I mean you're down a guy who's gonna Bob Ross over vandals I wouldn't say no but give me a little bit no I think you're in I was in this business we're disconnect right that takes place I see people on the right going we're not allowed to go out and protest because we want to open.

"Have a dry Lee Matthews and god we trust is headed to the full house will get your thoughts on that coming up and leave Matthews and Kitty okay dot com my email address don is in Mustang on news radio one thousand Katie okay hi right right I did R. J. J. yore hi I am my I don't go to these gambling Jack or whatever I work hard for my money and and all right the they're making a lot of lot of money and a lot of people not gonna agree with what I'm about to say but I don't care all right the N. T. M. federal government the state government chance I don't want her to come over here as group them on every treaty they have ever and that and so I'll go for the governor we have dang I can't remember his name sorry I don't understand yeah okay yeah I've quoted for for for him and I'll call him again update there about but I but I you hit the wrong here they worked hard for this money granted it probably don't go over exposed to go but are you newly Malone that that that's what I say here's the reasoning behind the the the governor now the governor knows that other states that have gaming get a greater percentage of what are called the exclusivity rights but but but but what state that don't make no difference what does the other states do because we made a deal with them and they show the talent the other state a different deal would come just like all right I drink my coffee black and you better start drinking your coffee black just a couple days the other god does I played the whole that's what that's what I I'm not I'm not slamming what you think at all I'm I'm telling you what I know and what I've read I've also read the comp the gaming compact and I don't see anything in there where it says and this is what the governor saying the governor saying that if one or more of the parties decide to renegotiate then you have to renegotiate and that's what I think he's asking the judge to decide upon because I don't see it in there I don't see it worded that specifically which if that is the case and I'm not a lawyer if that is the case I don't think the governor does have a leg to stand on and for in terms of renegotiation but if if they can prove that there's an implication that one or the other party has to raise a hand and say I want to renegotiate them they may drag it into court but that's the thing this is a compact this isn't really a legal issue so I I don't know that even if if if the state doesn't get what it wants out of this I don't know they consume I don't know my daughter quit your day job and become a lawyer I I on a on a go back to school news radio one thousand Katie okay it's Lee Matthews how you're on the air the bride of Mustang hi Brian worked in the gaming industry for about ten years old and I've been keeping on track on top of this in the if the compact said that the governor has the exclusive right to negotiate with the tribes regarding the compact and he has to within a hundred eighty days of the exploration of the compact you have to you know if he wants to renegotiate that's when he got the window to do so renegotiates that is because the right and he took it okay and so believe me tribes are Oklahoma had the big bucket of money and there's a giant hole in it we don't get any money from the tribe's gaming other than the ones who created a class three gaming compacts okay yeah in the percentage compared to Oklahoma gets something like twenty percent in other states get thirty you know higher I I think it's more like I think it's more like four into him like Oklahoma it's four percent and other states to get eight to ten depending on how much money they make that year well that's at least you know two hundred and fifty percent more than we're getting yeah right but that's here is with totally within his rights to do it now trust me I mean I'm I'm native American and I I you're partially good and I keep on track of them in the industry I like these people having you know I think creating jobs and then and I'm wonderful yeah but it says very clearly that the governor it's totally easy dealing with a sovereign nation you know and hate it just like if he was dealing with I hate or corn you know deal with China you know it I'm here the governor is the person who really gets to go be the diplomat who negotiates with those four countries and since these are sovereign nations the guy who does it go do it okay not a body else job and so as the figure head of our state he gets to go to your she would these be used you know sovereign nation and it is it doesn't specifically he is the guy so he told me with the right if they don't answer they don't agree to it you have the right to the water up and throw it out and they have to shut down which would be an interesting turn of events and I don't know if it'll get that far a nationwide let you.

"New worlds and check out more cool books your local library and visit V. dot gov brought to you by the library of Congress and the ad council did they get enough signatures to hold constitutional carry this afternoon at five with me Lee Matthews in the drive newsradio one thousand Katie okay this time it in this hour all week we've been talking about the economy and I urge you to go back and listen to our number two each week to really get an understanding what's going on today is the final chapter and we're talking about we're talking about what we need to do and how the world views us we are the only game in town only game in town most nations are issuing government bonds with negative interest you get a guaranteed loss if you invest in any other country but this one and while stocks are up four hundred percent here in the United States since the two thousand eight financial crisis globally most stocks still set fifty to sixty percent below the highs they saw in two thousand seven they haven't even hit two thousand seven highs yet our productivity per capita is steady global productivity has declined almost every nation on earth is massively invested in and reliance on the U. S. economy for better for worse we're the world's reserve currency and the best investment in town and through their investment in US they're telling us they need us to succeed if we don't the world faces collapsing chaos in bread lines in civil wars a repeat of the thirties and forties and I don't know if you remember that but that didn't go so well for most people so what makes us different how is that the generation after generation crisis after crisis the good old US of a seems to be able to pull ourselves together fire up the factories and get the job done and how do we pull ourselves back on the path to ensure this generation can play the role that we must play now what is the objective we need to have such a to to assigned to ourselves some people say well capital as we have state capitalism well no capitalism is not our objective if we do things right free market capitalism will be the result of a successful mission it's not the mission itself so what's our mission statement or founders wrote it down we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights that among these are life liberty and the pursuit of happiness that is our goal capitalism is not our goal it's not the objective of filling our mission statement is the objective and capitalism is the result it's the natural outcome of the system of government that protects individual rights and insurers liberty and justice for all the economic system that results from that legal structure is capitalism but that legal structure is faltering the reason so many people especially millennials think they dislike capitalism is because we broke capitalism today millennials in many people see capitalism merely as a shadow of what it should be what they really see when they say I hate capitalism what they really mean is I hate cronyism I he'd favoritism I hate monopolies I see people who think they're above the law and they all are I see corruption I see income inequality and it doesn't make sense I see it and so do you what I haven't seen in many years I've never seen it fully but I thought a lot better than it was I've never actually seen capitalism I've only seen the grotesque Haas but we have made capitalism into that we and our parents and our grandparents allowed it to become and here's how we broke it we broke it by trying to force it we we wanted to shape it into a tool that we could use to accomplish money make money just money money money money money that's our goal that's not our goal capitalism at its best is service to people okay so it's not money we got it we use it for social justice No Way what we did in the past as we chose industries and companies to to favor over others we said trucks over railroads Edison over Tesla coil over nuclear we we stepped in to protect labor verses the corporations we trapped generations of Americans into labor unions and we drove American manufacturing and ingenuity overseas through our regulation we stifled innovation we want to make sure people didn't hurt themselves and take something that they shouldn't have so we in doing so created the drug war and now the opioid crisis we wanted to ensure that nobody's feelings got hurt and nobody said anything hateful online so Google Roach net neutrality and pass it off as something that came out of Washington to protect us from companies like Google we wanted to protect the stock market from crashes in recession so we invented the federal reserve and gave them authority to manipulate our money as they saw fit we don't even know what banks these are what people see today when they look at the American economy is not capitalism through progressivism we married corporations to government Google Facebook and Twitter they're merely the latest in a very long line of government blessed monopolies giving them control over our news our data our media in order to protect us from fake news an offensive memes America it is time right now to take a long look in the mirror mirror the bat signal is up in the sky and it's coming from all countries on earth please America don't screw this up they counting on us as they have always counted on us we should be going to the hall of justice in meeting like the super heroes Americans are not the politicians but regular people but we're stock we're bound in chains of our own made making where fat we forgotten how to late to this engine we forgot what the flame in this park really is you know when I was growing up one of my first cars was a it was an old Thunderbird it had a four twenty nine in it and I remember you to step on it once in awhile to blow out all the carbon well you know we got a blow out all the carbon this engine is not running right and that carbon is corruption social justice picking favorites bailouts it's time for us to clean up the system now there's a role for the government to play in this we have the playbook for them to follow but they're not every every member of Congress the Supreme Court president trump they all have a dusty copy of it somewhere on the shelf and they're all in their office but they don't take it seriously even though they made their most sacred Val to protect and defend the constitution of the United States the goal of that playbook is to realign our society to our mission statement and that is government's job protect and defend the liberty of each individual full stop get the bad guys no matter who they are full stop then get out of our way and we'll do the rest if we are to rise up and meet the challenge of helping the world right now right itself we must start with ourselves and the then the idea the crazy idea that we would go to the failed policies of the past the truth failed policies of the past of national socialism of communism it's insanity no more favoritism for the elites no more special privileges for the big Silicon Valley donors writing their own regulations no more immunity from Jeff from justice for corrupt politicians protected by the Washington machine and apparently what seems to be some sort of a shadow government that runs through the FBI we must reject the sickness that is infected the rest of the world the lives that everyone keeps telling us up of we should be more like Sweden really because Sweden is not a socialist when it was a socialist state his growth of jobs was at zero they got to the point of collapse and changed they're not socialist check them out on the freedom index I believe Swedes are more free in business than we are and if they are so great why did they invest in our sovereign bonds we should copy the U. S. the U. K. healthcare system and and a free college really their healthcare system why are they flying over here for surgery and why are they now just getting rid of free college because they can't afford it free college in China yeah really you know that the U. S. produces seventy percent of the world's doctors PH dis including over half of the PH dis in China that we should we should model their system of education stop using fossil fuels why Caitlyn dead really ex I remember we they had to be bailed out in in two thousand two they collapsed they said tweet us your new constitution ideas I don't think we follow ice land if following the rest of the road down the path of chaos were were socialism that is long been discredited in Europe if that's the best idea we wouldn't be the last nation on earth with government bonds still paying out a profit we wouldn't have so much wealth invested by those people in our stock market we are the last great hope and I mean the last and when I say hope I mean if we fail if we don't protect the free market if we don't clean ourselves up first and restore real justice and an actual free market the world will plunge into darkness it has not seen in centuries the return of the free market the path the path to that return starts where it is always started with America's mission statement that we hold these truths self evident and our constitution is built to protect that checked the little guy and the big guy equally I pray that America can see this then we'll hear this and that they will realize our strength is not our military our strength must be our rule of law and our mission statement from that blessings flow all right when your alarm goes off in your house police Ripley's put it at the bottom of the nine one one call because they they don't it's usually somebody's alarm went off by mistake and so they don't take it seriously and that has them going you know on arriving your house about forty five minutes later now imagine imagine this is a fire and you have a choice between two fire departments first fire department going to get your house in forty five minutes that's good maybe they'll be able to save most of the house maybe everything will bill Haas but either way that's the best they can do the second fire department you could choose they'll get there in seven minutes there's no choice there is no choice everyone would call the one they could get there in seven minutes this is why you should invest.

"I'm your host Lee Matthews and in this program, we tried to get into the issues that are affecting the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. One of those issues is the protection of our police departments. David Dickinson is an officer with the more police department who's joining us now an officer Dickinson, tell us about national police week, which is coming up really national police week is just the week that officers across the United States take time out to recognize the fallen officers, and we actually tried to include a community in our week of events. So much is done to for the fallen officers. And you know, police are here for us when we need them. But the police also see people when they're at their worst most of the time. Yeah. So national police week. Let's let's let's first of all setup what national police week is. And then how it's going to be celebrated down with the more police department. Our vents are going to start actually a couple days early this year, and that was just more of a timing issue. But we're going to do what we call police unity ride, and we're gonna ride from the more police department to the Oklahoma law enforcement officers memorial to appoint five right last year was our largest one or we had fifty five officers from eleven different police departments within the state and gentle purposes to raise awareness of police week and fallen officers and interests funds. You know for the memorial. There are six hundred eleven names on the police memorial in Oklahoma City, fifty one of those and just last year. But I think I put something I know they're going to they generally at names the memorial every year, that's kind of really what we focus on and recognize them. Yeah. And so the ride is going to tell us about the right? Is that a motorcycle ride? Good question. No their bicycles dot com. Some different police farms have different types of bicycles. So we just we just say it's a first responder type event. So police officers will will bring whatever they want. We've had the the high end St. street racers to like what my partner, and I ride which is more of a I don't want to say mountain bikers at full service biker. It's kind of in between. Yeah. Do the officers preferred to ride those are they like having an opportunity to get out there on the bikes. Oh, they like out on their bikes. It takes one pedal for them in twenty four us the ride. So it's, but as a lot it's a lot fun. There's just a lot of variety in last year. We we included shirts to kind of mimic, the national rights shirts. Yeah. Yeah. They do that every year in DC as part of a big service when we're talking about national police week, and it's been designated around the fifteenth as peace officers Memorial Day that whole week. It's going to be memorialized by the good folks down at at at more more more police station and officer David Dickinson is with us some of the other things along with the ride going to take place to commemorate national police week. Yes, sir. Am during that week police officers more also were morning bedcovers to recognize remember the authors, and we generally tie blue ribbons around our antennas to. So if you see those it's kind of tribute to the fallen officers, and we have a lot of good community partners in the city, and they're doing some things that we they're going to bring us food and some other things as well. And then on the fourteenth, we're doing our big thing. The chili cook off as I talked about we have know celebrity judges coming in and some local folks coming locust Larry judges, and we try to just you know, all all funds go to the memorials. Well, the items that we use their donated the chili the all the accessories are all donated. So it's everything goes to them. And where will this be the chili cook off is going to be on the fourteenth of may from eleven AM to one PM at the station central park. It's our new aquatic center in the city, something we're really proud of and general public can come and taste. Absolutely. Yes, sir. Everybody's welcome to come. And I imagine a contribution. We'll get you a bowl, and then you can go around and sample. Yes, we're we're I guess we we haven't settled on some of the final details, but that will all be posted here soon. Okay. And it's all to raise money to for the funds for the memorial for Oklahoma and opposites memorial service. Yes, they're all that goes directly to we're talking to our good friend, David Dickinson. He's with more police department in as we celebrate national police week here on NewsRadio one thousand Katie. Okay. And if if tell us more about the bike ride, the bike ride that's gonna take place. These only officers. Generally, speaking. Yes. And I say that because we do we have a medic ride with us. Okay. You know, and. We've had a few believe a dispatcher we've had but anybody in the in the law enforcement community is really is our target INC. We have some probation parole. Officers come up some department corrections folks that I was a lot of police officers. You know, some of the bigger departments show up. You know, it's it's quite a sight last year was amazing. So just about everybody had the blue shirt on. And you know, we had motor officers from all over the area escort as well. So it's just really a great just more police department that take place. Yes, originally started out, I think my partner, and I'm Becky a believe we were the first ones we wrote. I think it was just a couple of the first year. And then I think we went to like I'm looking at my notes here. But I think we have we went from two to four to ten to fifty five in that range. So it's it's really grown. So it's it's not just a more police department ride. You know, we we're saying it's a it's a state police officer arrived and everybody every police officer and a state is welcome come right with us national police week. It's the unity bike tour. Coming up Friday the tenth. It'll start at eight thirty and you start at more, but make your way up to the to the moral. Yes, sir. Yeah. Now here in Oklahoma City. Yes, sir. Yeah. So if you see a bunch of bicycles and a bunch of police along the main route that is and the route is does it come straight up straight up thirty five or is it going one of the roads, we leave more police department, and we go east we go. We have some railroad tracks right there, we go over that. And we go to eastern which one of our main north and south as we make a left, and then it comes right up your point five miles. So if you see on eastern a bunch of a bunch of bicycles on that Friday. That's that's what that's all too. And it all proceeds donated go to Oklahoma law enforcement official officers memorial anything that I left out that you wanna talk about as far as national police week is concerned. The other thing we like to bring up is on the fifteenth from five seven pm, we're going to have an open house at the police department. And we're we're going to have a couple scheduled tours. And we're going to have some more community partners put on a big event with us. It's gonna be in the parking lot of interest Bank. Which is really just you know, we're. Across the street from us. John Ireland's going to be there. Mcdonald's can be there. And we're working on a couple of other little details. But it's going to be just a, hey, everybody come out and see us meet us kind of deal and to find out more about national police week or if you wanna make a contribution to the unity bike run..

"We'll get to know one this afternoon at five with me Lee Matthews NewsRadio one thousand KT. Okay. During the state of the union Donald Trump introduced again in Matthew, Charles. He was one of the first people released under the first step Dak, and he he has an amazing story. He was arrested for selling crack cocaine and he spent twenty one years in prison on a thirty five year prison sentence. He was released in twenty sixteen. He walks out of prison with nothing, but he changes his life. And he never had any infractions any rights at all in prison. He was a model citizen. He had turned his life over to crise goes out. And he starts immediately getting involved in his community in his church. Then he finds out. Hin may of twenty eighteen two years later that was a mistake. You have to go back and serve the remaining decade back in prison. He doesn't throw fat. He goes back. He goes back. He was one of the first released on the new criminal Justice reform, and we're thrilled to have him. Matthew, welcome to the program. How are you, sir? Matthew there? Yes. I am. Hi. How are you, sir? How you doing? I'm doing. I'm I'm great. It is it is great to talk to you. Remember when they sent you back, and I read that story. And I thought how is this happening? First of all the guys turned into a model citizen, and how is he dealing with that when when you heard you had to go back and serve ten years. What was that like? I was disappointed a little bit scars. Because at the time. I'd already served nearly twenty two years and have been out for two years. And because the government had appealed it in successfully one was being sent back, and the fact that they couldn't take into account any rehabilitation taking place. What game me during caria cause me to bear? You know, be very disappointed and discouraged. No, why couldn't they take into account anything that you had done in anything that you had become because at the time that was no actually incentives for rehabilitation just about incapacitation when you take a person out of society for particular period of time. And then when that time is up whether they're changed the nitro released him, and because I was released based on the changes made to the two thousand Tennyson Gatland, not being made rich or active to me. So therefore, I was required to survive. After spending my finis. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. So Matthew got back into prison, and how long were you in prison before this prison Justice reform happened? It's at seven I went back may fourteenth and was released January third, and how did you find out about you know, when you were released where were you what happened? I was in Kentucky and facilitating to go back to federal prison to serve that remain in ten years. And during the time that I was rearrested being hailed in Kentucky. And at the time that may stare speaking about the first step bag, and they were talking about two different incentives. It had as well as the discretion that the judge is headed own courtrooms. The mandatory minimums, I didn't know that it was going to actually affect me until late. No number early December. When I seen that one of the provisions retroactive changes to two thousand Tennyson gasoline. And so did you apply for did? Somebody else apply. The public defenders office and Nashville, Tennessee, Mr Michael hall is Mariah Wooten because they already appealing my reincarceration day already have petitions before the court was President Donald Trump signed December twenty first and it became applicable after his signature they just went on a foul to most into the district court since they were already doing violence behave asking him to release me based on the first step back. So Matthew, it it? I mean, I'd like to hear you talk about the. I was sitting in the chamber during the state of the union. First of all, how did you get there? The president call you how did you how did you end up at the state of the union would've been nice theater director front of president? But I actually been invited by his staff the Email out twice to the first one. But it didn't take place because that was a government shutdown and the second time they reinvited made. And once I went there, I was able to go to the lighthouse at meet him going over to the state of the Union Congress. So it was an experience, but I had actually got the invite from his stab home is white Montiel. Trump's be. So now, you are you're sitting there the president speaks about you. We all stand up and give you a standing ovation. What was that moment? Like to a guy who had spent? Twenty one years in prison. Nobody was thinking of you are your release than your pulled back in the system is just grinding you down. What was that moment? Like to have the president tell your story. Have you stand up and every the the members of congress and the Senate, and and the and the White House, the justices everybody standing up giving you a round of applause. It was an amendment that would never be forgotten about me. The only thing as you expression. Those. Came to my mind was like a cartoon character where the roof obeyed of the character just choose toward the sky because it was like unbelievable. So for me, it just like that. It was pleasantly overwhelming. Wow. Just completely amazed now without in a million years that will be at the state of the union, let alone having President Trump to actually speak about that. And state. Welcome home to me. I will I will tell you that what it said to me as I was. I was watching you. Stand there in in the same room with you. As I'm watching that. I thought this is what the American Justice system should be the guy committed a crime. He not only paid for it. But he went and he was reformed, and he found redemption, and he found his way, and he's now welcome back into society with open arms with with with with the president of the United States saying welcome back. Welcome back home. Yes. Telling about the the pastor tell me about your conversion from guy that belonged in prison to guy that didn't belong in prison. What took place was I got arrested in December nineteen ninety five for selling crack cocaine and once I was arrested and taken to the county jail. How dare awaiting pretrial sentencing but their name. Hey, just rain who actually had his sentence and was being transported out. So he left me some hygiene items, you know, soap deodorant to pace any also let me bible, and it was Brown getting his King James about people. So I didn't even know about religion or anything that nature so to give city game any live. But I started reading about them and reading about his started coming I guess to reality, waking, my spiritual side of me. And I started attending study classes at the county jail and the preacher will come in. And do the bible study and they often tracks on how to receive. How so I took one that attracts continue to read it Bob on my own time because you know, in the county jail. You got a lot of time on your hand, therefore? Let me to state into still on the track going to study classes and openly profess pay for them as well. And that decision that I made in nineteen ninety six I wanna say two months at that was arrested in place in a county jail. Change my life forever. But everything still use still had twenty one years before you would see the light of day. And when you get out it's hard for somebody like you to get a job into acclimate. How did you stay the path? It was because of my faith in Christ. Once I made that decision to surrender my life to Jesus Christ. I I will say all of guys has guys children. No. So therefore, what God's help how to make the right decisions holiday to begat an protected by God during that time of my incarceration because at that time, I didn't know I was going to twenty one and twenty two years out of spec to thirty one and thirty two years because I had a thirty five year sentence. You know, this is such an amazing story and in the middle of this somewhat divisive time that we're in it's hard to find the path forward. Glenn even talking about this forever. There's only really one solution to this. Yeah. I mean, you look at the world would it was in nineteen ninety-five. It's a different America. Isn't it? Matthew. Oh, yes. It is very much. So. And we've been looking for solutions, we keep going back and forth. And the only thing I can think of is that we've got to turn back to God. And it seem so trite it seems so simple. It's so simple. People will dismiss it. But it's the only answer that will save us because we we have to return to the the principles of just be decent to each other. Just be good to each other. Just let's not lie. Let's not cheat. Let's not steal. And that's correct because. Through like say through Kristen and the experiences sale is shows how the low one another as well as respect one another. And as you stated day, the difference aside in nineteen ninety five there's a lot of divisiveness and that nature. So I would say that. The only thing that really going to bring true Armenia piece is once everyone are someone Sorrenstam's sales. If you're the beneficiary of very rare by partisan moment as you were able to get out because of what President Trump and Jared Kushner in particular fought very hard for as long as van Jones. I mean, it was it's really an amazing story. What do you think the next step? Is there more that needs to be done in this area of criminal Justice reform? Oh, yes. So there's a lot more that needs to be done because they're still those that are rated that I won't even fake because they've already done served. Same amount of time. I have on a little bit less than that. But they still have the expensive centers that they were saying on their the harsh penal system, whereas the Senate on the punishment is not a quivalent or in proportion to the crime actually committed. So there's things that we need to do to David reach for those people will also changed a second chance. And then also those that are now coming into getting in trouble in going through them and into prison. We need to say what type of treatments are a diversion to incarceration, maybe they may have a mental illness drug addiction where they need treatment. And thank you know medicine for has opposed to just in cost rate. What do you think the percentages of people that? Are in the prison system that are just mentally unwell. They're just this is this is a mental illness. I would say anywhere from thirty to forty percent of those because. Yeah. And they're saying to them there because it's like they in a completely different world. But yet they're place in saying sometimes ballot atmosphere like the Valent inmate sore the regular MA Sar. And then because they have those mental problems. They really are not able to cope and to get they either get hurt or her somebody and at the time that was separate place to put these people they committed a crime they need to pay for the crime they committed. So the only thing that was hamlets giving them a Senate and putting them in prison. What everybody else? Well, matthew. Thank you so much. God bless you. And I'm glad you're out and. As the president said. Welcome home. Okay. Thank you. Now, precede it and God bless you. God bless you. Matthew, charles. Good way to add some lightness to your day wanna talk to you little bit about relief factor relief factor has gotten me painting. Again, you see my new painting. I have a great advertisement. It is you're looking at the positive side of life. Yes..

"Drive with Lee. Matthews today at five on NewsRadio one thousand Katie. Okay. Oklahoma 's place to talk. Inside the secret Republican plot the takedown, Donald Trump and twenty twenty. Details coming up this hour on the network. Greetings, welcome back. It's great to have you with us as always a thrill and a delight for me highlight of the day. Telephone number is eight hundred two eight two two eight eight two. And the Email address elrushbo eibnet dot US. Tune handy, not the bumper. But you haven't had it right at this moment at meetings. Find it on the prophet system. As soon as you find it, let me know. And I'll delay what I was going to say about a grab audio sound bite number seven. I have. Then focusing the past two days on the real objectives of the left. And I think it's important to know what really is propelling and fuelling this move to socialism in this this unmistakable anti-americanism that they now proudly all one. And a lot of us have been mistaken. We haven't taken it far enough. We think that the opposition the left has that they mount today is due to modern day conservative successes. Ronald Reagan the modern day Republican party. They can't stand Donald Trump. And while all of that, it's true. It really doesn't explain why the left has been as they have been for decades now, and it really does trace back to the fact folks that they think the country's illegitimate because of our founding they do not think anything about America is is not everything. But very little of what you and I consider to be traditionally, great, American institutions and so forth. They discount them because to them the founding was immoral as evidenced by the fact that slavery was legal during the nation's founding the fact that it's been fixed. The fact that it's been ended counts for nothing. The fact that there have been advances in women's rights galore. The fact that there have been massive changes in America. For civil rights and minority rights. None of it matters. This is the key. None of it matters. Nobody gets any credit for it. The reason is the left doesn't want to modify America's founded at wants to transit. It wants to obliterate it. The reason why slavery. Being ended with a civil war is not anything to be happy about is. Because it doesn't erase the fact that the nation was founded with slavery. The fact that women got the vote in the late eighteen hundred dozen mean anything women's rights Roe versus Wade, equal pay. None of it really matters. Because the nation was founded with all that injustice and all of that immorality. And so the objective. Is to totally transform America into something fresh and brand new that it's never been. So that it will be clean in pure with no injustices, enshrined. And this is really what is propelling them. And it gives them it gives them the opportunity of never being satisfied that no amount of cooperation is ever enough, no amount of working together. Compromising solving never enough because we can't fix the original sin that this country's founding was so it's got to be something brand new from the get-go, socialist, communist, whatever. But it has got to be destroyed. It's got to be transformed. Well, I can probably assure you that many people thought I was going to little far in that explanation. Not as many as I thought, but I still got come on rushed. That's taking a little for. No, the more. I think about it the more. I think it does explain why you can't compromise. Why there is why doesn't this country ever get any credit for four? Of ending slavery for the role that we've played in ending slavery. I mean, we zilch. It gets worse. Despite the prices that have been paid. Now, it's demand for reparations. And if reparations were paid that was simply opened the door to some new demand. There is no affirmative action. No end to it. You asked people to beginning of affirmative action. Okay. Well, how much of this reverse discrimination? How much reverse racism is it going to take the fix? What you think is wrong on never you can't fix it. Why you can't fix? I actually had the activists for affirmative action. Telling me this. Forty years ago, you can't fix it. You can't even make amends for it. You can't fix it. So why because it happened? You can't raise it. But I thought all of this was tried to purpose was to. Yeah. It's a good breakfast. But you can't fix it. Meaning there is no happiness. There is no solution to anything there is no solving any liberal grievance. And it's futile to try. That's the thing that the modern day. Republican party will never understand the never Trumpers. There's it. It's ridiculous to try to solve things because they cannot ever be satisfied because their objective is not what they claim to want today their objective. Is to totally transform and realign and rebuild the United States. And I have a sound bite here. We'll go a long way toward indicating that that is true. It's Anderson Cooper three sixty and he's talking to the famed movie director, Spike Lee about the black face scandal in Virginia. And the Anderson Cooper says, hey, spike, tell us about the history of black face is not a good part of American history and came out of vaudeville minstrels performers. Mostly white would darken up and perform skits his hatred is pure hatred. And this is part of who we are in America. We're in the year twenty one thousand nine hundred and four hundred years ago. Sixteen nineteen first laser brought to Jamestown Virginia you see four hundred years. The first slaves brought to Jamestown Virginia, and he's still got governor Naw them and his pals running around IMB. Let's face it. Never ends. It never gets solved. And did you hear him say it's pure hatred? This is part of who we are in America. This is what America is. So a long way toward proving my point now more bay Bihar. Back in two thousand sixteen on the view. Showed a picture of herself dressed up for Halloween. One year when she was twenty nine years old as a quote, beautiful African woman, and they flash the picture up there, and she made a point of saying that's not a wig that I'm wearing. It's my hair. I don't have the photo here to show you. I'm just telling you, it doesn't look like Maude Bihar. It doesn't it doesn't even come close. But but they were talking about this is three years ago. But listen to them talking about this picture..

"If you're a guy and the donor this afternoon with me Lee Matthews at five NewsRadio one thousand Katie. Okay. You saw a headline on FOX. Might be a it might actually be a Washington Post headline because they did have a graphic in the Washington Post up there. It's about Elizabeth Warren. Folks, this is a smorgasbord of democrat leftist implosion that has been happening now for all all of this week. And it's gonna continue throw in the middle of this, this brilliant, Trump state of the union speech. You know, what what are the greatest things I'm sorry to keep hopscotching here. But I say something and the synopses in my phenomenal brain fire, and I think of something else. I continue to think about how it characterize the the Trump state of the union speech. One of the great things that it did. And there were many fantastic great things in it. But the president literally took the time to properly define make America. Great again and explain to a nationwide audience. Exactly what it is. And it's nothing more. Then everybody devoted to if they wish to be greatness and excellence, the left has succeeded and the media has succeeded in characterizing make America great again as a bunch of white. Hey, seen Hicks worried that they're losing their country and wanting to take over again. Hey, Siri stop. And so I have my home pod fired up there for some reason. So he redefined it properly for the nation in a nonthreatening way in ways, the media has been attempting to mischaracterize it in the midst of all of that the Democrats are imploding and half of them. Don't even know that. That's what's happening. Lisbeth Warren, the headline Elizabeth Warren struggles with questions of identity. Struggles with questions of identity mean like she doesn't know what she is. That's not what Elizabeth Warren is struggling with. Elizabeth Warren is struggling with the fact she got caught lying about being Indian one one thousand twenty four th Indian. In order to get hired. Or in order to be admitted into various state bar association. So she could practice law that she got caught lying. This woman. Phocas I'm telling you does not have both feet in reality. And I think she is emblematic. Of a lot of people on the left who have to construct false identities based on minority status. Based on privilege themselves, but she is running around literally trying to cover up lies that she has been telling for years and the latest attempt at covering. Stories that my brothers and me and my sisters and my cousins, and my my my my my Indian relatively we're told. I don't know. I was just I was told us growing up high cheekbones told anything of the sort all of this is manufactured. She was trying to curry favor as a leftist with a bunch of other minorities in a phony attempt to make them think that she was one of them, and she's been caught she not struggling with questions of identity. She's struggling with questions of authenticity and honesty, and maybe even reality back to the audio soundbites. This is Jeffrey Toobin at CNN trying to calm everybody down over the potential disaster in Virginia. I think the process is probably going to slow down a little I mean, I think none of these three public officials are going to leave immediately, and you know. I think maybe counting on the fact that our attention. We are the ultimate short attention span. Children, you know, those of us in the news media, and they may be counting on the fact that the circus will move on. And they can hang in there. Stop. And think of what we're just hearing here. This guy is the circus. And he's saying that Ralph now them and his buddy in the democrat party in Virginia are counting on the circuit packing up and leaving down losing interest. He is the circus. He's speaking about his own industry that he's a part of is though he stands outside it. You talk about struggling with questions of identity. Can you imagine Walter Cronkite saying, well, I think the process is probably going to slow down. None of these three public officials gonna leave immediately. I think I think they may be counting on the fact that I and my colleagues Eric several right here at CBS news. We're gonna lose interest, and we're going to cover this. And of course, we're just children, you know, here at CBS we have no attention span whatsoever. And we're just we're we're we're we're we're going to move on to something else. So to some Republicans steps, and we're going to be off on that. And that's what these guys are counting on. And so I think everybody ought to come. He's basically saying that the news media is hanging back doing everything it can to let something else take this spotlight. Now contrast this with the attention span they had on getting rid of Brad Kavanagh. They didn't they didn't slack off. They didn't lose interest. I mean, this Ralph northern things basically been what just a week. And here's N CNN's already talking about, you know, they're counting on us losing interest. And tubing's, basically assure. Yeah. At some point we at CNN will lose interest. What he doesn't say as we're just waiting for Trump to say something we're waiting for some Republican to do something. We can then start moving over in covering that and destroyed them and give these other guys a little break from all this attention because we really don't want. Ralph Nov them gonna we don't want Justice. Fairfax gone. We don't want any democrat gone ever. I don't know. They are every faction every every aspect of the American left today. Something has happened. And they're all dropping the camouflage in the mask, and they are all letting everybody see them as they are the at the millennials and the green new deal or route, none of them and the New York state legislature and post birth abortion. Or black face. Being obsessed with dressing up as black people and then making fun of them. Democrats. Which is perfectly and character. All of this stuff is coming out. Now, here's the news media letting it be known that they're hoping for anything to happen. So they don't have to cover it anymore. Jeffrey Toobin praying praying that something's going to happen too. 'cause the circus the media to move on down the road the drive bys rather than push this here James Clyburn from the Congressional Black Caucasians not to be confused with the Congressional Black Israelites and he was on Cavuto yesterday. Fox News channel kudos said Clyburn is by the way, democrat, South Carolina. If it ended up with a Republican taking over the state house in Virginia. How would you feel about that and the rest of your buddies here at the Congressional Black Caucasians? I would not feel good about that. My goodness. I would not feel good about the governor having to leave the office. But I think it is something that he sits consider doing before the policy, and I would not feel good, Justin. Fairfax were not given due process as it relates to the charges or the allegations. Regarding him. So I'm not gonna feel good about any of this due process. Do what's due process? What happened to every woman has to be believed? What happened to every woman making this charge is automatically right? What happened to the guy is guilty and has to go. What happened to this mass paranoia and attack on Cavanaugh that has now become well, Justin, fair fashion going to have to be extended due process. I think the governor ought go go to the party, but I'm not so sure that Justin. Fairfax oughta hang due process due process. There is an educated African American woman from Stanford who says this guy brutalized her. And the Congressional Black Caucasians and the rest of the democrat party are talking about due process. Now, don't misunderstand. I'm all for due process. I don't want to be missed. I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of these people. See when it's when it's one of their people that's in the crosshairs. Guess what matters the law the rule of law? Gotta have evidence gotta have incontrovertible evidence. It's that stuff that gets thrown out when it's a Republican. There is no due process. The woman's always right? Whether she is writer, in fact, there doesn't even have to be an episode. The Democrats will get together and create a phony sexual assault episode like what they did with Cavanaugh and L involved Dianne Feinstein and her her her staff on the committee now coordinate it with ballsy Ford and her lawyers and so forth. Create this massive event that didn't happen, and then act righteously offended and indignant and suggest Cavanaugh is unfit and he's got to go even though there hadn't been a shred of evidence ever at any confirmation. Hearing cabinet ever did anything of the sort. And then here comes an actual believable allegation with a woman who is not going away and doesn't sound like a ten year old when she speaks as did balti- Ford. And the Congressional Black Caucasians talking about due process guy, get rid of the northern. He's a white guy. We get rid of him. That's not a big deal. But we're not losing fat were not gonna cut him. Loose says a Congressional Black Caucasian. I'm sorry, folks. I love this. I know we've been here before we've been here. Democrats have imploded made fools of themselves like this, and sadly, not as many people as we think noticed, but it doesn't mean we're not going to sit here and try to make them notice. Gotta take another brief time out. We'll come back. I got a guy in a funk in Clifton Virginia wants to weigh in on this. And we'll do that right? After this obscene profit timeout. Rush.

"Wells and the most versatile Volmer this afternoon with the Lee Matthews NewsRadio one thousand PT. Okay. There's a little news item floating around out there. I'm hankering here to address, but I'm wondering if there's even reason to do it. It may be a no win. But the story is that there was this massive drug bust. At one of our ports of call Mako somewhere. Offensive federal something like two hundred and fifty four pounds or whatever it is offensive fanciful. That's not the point point is the accompanying story. This is enough. Kill thousands and thousands and thousands of American. They're all kinds of the the fed. These guys are catching is it is it's more powerful than heroin. However, they're using it the drug cartels use it to use less heroin. They cut the heroin because it's so much more powerful. And what when opioids kill you. It's they shut down your breathing. That's an opioid overdose. Shuts down your respiratory system. You're in the middle of this euphoric feeling and you stop breathing. Now, the problem with it is the way it's being portrayed on TV. I've seen this. If I've seen this once I've seen it twice. We'll have a package of sentinel and the bad guys lab and the cops walk in there and somebody will slit open a bag sentinel and just the sentinel dust that you can barely see wipes out thirty law enforcement people. It's not possible. If that happened they couldn't put it in the heroine, they'd be killing every customer and believe me. They're not out to kill every customer with one dose of whatever it is. They're selling. Now, I don't blame them for trying to hype consciousness about the stuff to try to get people to stay away from it. That's that's all finding that. There's nothing good about it other than how it's used medicinally. But sentinel is used all the time in hospitals. It's a it's a synthetic opioid that that has some properties that other opioids don't have you. When you start mixing drugs in hospital surgical situations. You don't want certain interactions to happen. And so you can't you talking about sedation or. Other needs that you have in quote, unquote, knocking people out Fenton presents a little bit more options to medical people. If it's license and commercially legally produced, but it's not so powerful that a speck of sand amount of it. If you breathe it is going to kill you the way it's portrayed on TV. It's just the way the stuff is is hype. Don't misunderstand. This weather's a no win here. I'm not promote what? Wall. It's hardly. It's bad stuff are using it to cut the heroin. But it doesn't kill you. Well, it does make an OD on anything. But the point is it's cut with heroin. So they don't have to use as much heroin. They can cheat the customer by cutting it with with sentinel, which means they're able to make more profit on the sale. But it's I dunno fighting. This is more of a media thing. I guess I just I hate when media lies about about things. And portraying it the way it is on on on crime shows just doesn't doesn't quite get there. Deadbolt locks deadbolt locks endorse changed now. Another good example here, they may do a good job of protecting the front door of your house or the back door. But there are a lot of ways for an intruder to make their way into your home. Even if you have chains and dead bolts, simply safe home security understands this this is why they've invented the latest and greatest home security system..

Investigators started work on the owners of the peak dispensary after that business was burglarized CEO of the medical marijuana business says around one thousand dollars worth of marijuana was stolen roll down your window and sniff. Probably find it pretty quick. The thieves got through the doors of the business. He keeps the bulk of the product luck beyond the secure door in a number of security systems protecting it, but the thief looking for a quick buck would be a major let down turns out. The thieves knew exactly where to go and ripped the camera out of the wall. Probably one of your customers. Then if they knew where the cameras were. But again, roll down your window take a sniff. Probably find. Air that Maryland is being used for medical. It's a medical thing. Marijuana hot sauce. Eight four hundred thousand star one thousand on NewsRadio one thousand Katie okay? Congressman Kendra horn, our new fifth district congressman woman and traduced some legislation today that's being called the SAS act the shutdown to end all shutdowns act the seas act. She announced it earlier today and said that automatically after thirty days for a government shutdown if her proposal passes. After thirty days. Use of federal funds will be prohibited for member travel member de suspended and not held in Nashville USA federal funds for executive branch. Travel will be prohibited bonuses relocation expenses and other financial awards for senior executive branch officials will be prohibited. Hey, wait a minute. You know, I was gonna I when I started this article I was going to get into it. And I had my antenna up and my radar on for keywords and code words and stuff that for me would go. No, no. We don't want to do that. But so far. I'm okay. Yeah. If we ever shut down and the house members are not negotiating. They shouldn't be paid. Especially the leadership. Kendra horn. I very well may have found the very first thing you've talked about that. I agree upon. Federal funds. We'll be prohibited for executive branch reception and entertainment. Okay. That's executive branch. So that's the president the president the president. Maybe that's what she's talking about with executive branch. Yes. Yeah. Malania strip back down to Florida during the shutdown. Federal funds will be prohibited for executive branch reception. Daley quorum calls will be in effect. That's good government will continue to operate under the continuing resolution with a resolution with these distinctive distinctions in place as long as congress and the president fail to agree on appropriate measures, the Bill provides to core outcomes for federal employees it protects federal employees transfer financial hardship from federal workers. The only thing she left out was legislature should not get paid. And then. Then it would sound like Senator length merged Bill Senator Lankford Bill. Would go all the way back to budget. Not just not just shut down if a budget had not been agreed upon by the end of the air. Senators wouldn't get paid representatives wouldn't get paid. No, let it be paid. That's what I'd like to see what about you four hundred thousand star one thousand Kendra horn, this whole thing wasn't the president's fault. Even though he said, I'll take the blame. The president's job is to be the executive. It's his job to make the decisions. It is your job to make a law. It is your job to negotiate the law does your job to compromise with your fellow members to get things done for your district. Not to stick it to the president. And that's the problem with our congress right now. You are a legislative member you represent the fifth district not all of Washington on all of the United States. That's sad. Kendra horn. I am. So glad you're not as bombastic and loud and ignorant as Alexandria account, CEO Cortez who continues to embarrass herself. And if he's not embarrassed she's too stupid to be embarrassed. Here's the other thing that occurred to me about a Cossio Cortez. The reason she hasn't been censured so far by the house of representatives. She hasn't said anything outlandish enough number one number two. They're probably gonna let her Babylon as much as they can until the presidential race because they're trying their best to keep the younger voters from going anywhere else. Eight.

Had some social media I needed to get to re viewing what we've been over already did Trump cave. Is he living to fight again and get Kevin sits on fire. We're going to get into what Kevin did and said today your comments on that too coming up on NewsRadio one thousand Katie, okay? There's also word that Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell are calling for roles, which is that fancy French way of saying they're talking together in their offices. And and Mitch McConnell is the majority leader and minority leader is Chuck Schumer. Are they coming up with a deal? I don't know. Don't want to don't wanna get anybody's hopes up. So April one thousand star one thousand Randy listening on NewsRadio one thousand KT. Okay. On iheart radio says Lee, I got an alert from the Oklahoma second amendment association. I'm a member as you are too about some making your listeners might wanna know about. I wrote them some of my thoughts. Thank you for sending the link to the proposed amendment to indirect lobbying. And I thought you might like this. Okay. So he sent me this link, and it's an article about indirect lobbying. But it is it's the rules of the ethics committee for our state legislature. So it's an ethics committee. I don't know that this is a law per se Randy it's an ethics committee meeting that is wanting to make it on ethical four lawmakers to be reached out to while there. In session. By lobbyists, and what are lobbyists will the ethics committee has got a pretty loose definition of what a lobbyist is. For instance. It could be a constituent who works in construction who wants to talk to a lawmaker about a Bill that would involve construction. The news industry is exempt from this. And Randy goes on you know, what I don't have time to get into it Randy. I'm afraid I don't because he gets pretty deep in the weeds. But I don't think there's a lot to worry about first of all it's only the ethics committee, and it has to be voted upon by the full legislature before it'll take effect. And I don't think it will. Basically, it looks to me on paper like it would almost make it impossible for a lawmaker in our state to talk to anybody while they're in session, and that that can't happen. They have to be able to you can't sanction the the freedom of speech of lawmakers to talk with their constituents. So I wouldn't get too cranked up about it. But thanks for pointing it out to me. Eight four one thousand star one thousand Doug rights Lee. I'm now waiting for the left to push regret abortions to justify the murder of unruly teams that mom's regret having Doug. You're referring I guess to New York's new law that allows abortions for any reason up until birth. I find it. Barbaric. And if you wanna hash that out we can. But I'm afraid we're going to be going down rabbit holes for the rest of the night. So I'll save that for another time on NewsRadio one thousand Katie..

It's time for you say that because the first thing I thought of when I saw the. What I was young. My parents bought me, a cheap and chintzy ventriloquist's doll. Five one. Exactly like wondering toll on their mouth operating nets as ever. Gators. It was so comical because President Trump was able to use facts and figures and data and all they said was. All these talking head on like MSNBC snowboard. I wonder any of them have been down to the border to see what's going on. And I doubt it. Oh, I doubt it too seriously. I thought I'd write to tell you that. I would try to call Kendra horns office today. And I tried three or four times. No answer. I know she has plenty of staff to answer the phone, but it just rang and rang and rang no answering machine. No voicemail. No, nothing. Do you think it's because she and her office was getting so many complaints from constituents about the wall just thought you would be interested, Jack. No, I don't think it had anything to do with the wall. I think it had everything to do with. Well, some of it could have to do with her while I think, but I think it has everything to do with her her vote for Pelosi number one. And number two her vote today to continue the Affordable Care Act. I'm going to get into that story in just a little bit here on NewsRadio one thousand KT. Okay. But right on schedule. She's voting right down the party lines. As I thought she.
