"Where the streets are rivers and the rain falls constantly from sun. The skies there's a night Vale where the mayor is a smiling, man and a night, Vale where the mayor is a brave woman. And of course, there is a night veil that has no mayor never will have one again. There's a Knight fail without a day. And there's a night fail without night. There's a night Vale where the dogs sing and the birds bark, there's a night Vale with no people only the angels, moaning and tapping their fingers. There's a night, Vale where I was never born, and there's a night, Vale. Flare will never die. There's a faceless old woman who secretly lives in your home. She's in every night, veiled areas. There's a night, Vale where time runs backwards and a night, Vale where time skips about, and there's a night, Vale where time doesn't work at all. That's this knightdale. Times weird. Time is weird everywhere. But it's a specially weird here. There's a night Vale where Dana is the voice of her town and night. Vale where Deb, the cinci patch of Hayes is the voice of her town and night, Vale where you are the voice of your town. An infinitude avoi- ses of an infinitude of night fails. But here and this night. Our voice is seasonal. Voice like distant traffic, avoi- Slyke strong coffee at midnight. Once there was a God with good intentions. Heartful of love. She shattered us into many versions of us. Once a general full of courage and victory. She twisted our time about itself lost us in a labyrinth of hours and years. Once there is a man his dreams were simple. He wanted to be an actor. That's all. To lie a little to audiences in a way that they liked being lied to. But time got stuck on him like go on a shoe. It was always his thirtieth birthday from the big bang to the tedious heat death of the universe. His thirtieth birthday forever time weighed on him. And so he looked out at every night Vale that has ever been and every night Vale that will ever be whole them. Swirling swinging through intertwining chronologies, and he concentrated very hard and he reached out one tired ancient. Thirty year old hand and stop them all. Just for moment. He stopped times gyrations. All is frozen. Water hangs in the air below elite king tap. The trees are sculpted by gust of wind, and haven't yet swung back to their natural state. The clouds former frozen pattern like.

"Chris cooling from forgotten TV, and you're listening to the projection booth, the ultimate movie podcast. All right, we're back and we're talking about emperor of the North Pole. So I should say as far as the title goes, this was released as emperor of the North Pole, but then apparently was re released later on as emperor of the north because somebody thought it was going to sound like a Christmas story, Lee Marvin, and Ernest borgnine digging it out on the polar express, I would be down for. Yeah. I'd love the whole term emperor of the North Pole like here, you are the emperor of nothing. You know, you are the Lord of the wasteland. There's nothing there for you at all. And that's their title of, you know, this, this high rank king, they mentioned king of road, another point. Of course, I'm thinking, you know, the song of that, but, okay, it's a great title. And then emperor of the north doesn't really have the same thing. But I, I don't know. Did you? Guys think Christmas movie when you sent emperor the North Pole. No, because I like sought title when I first got into that. I have zero idea zero expeditious to what it was about. Like I read that script cold, because I always read this, Chris before, I watched the movie, and I've read that script would not knowing anything and just was like, oh, Hello. This is all coming together. Nicely mean even enter the north what the title I was thinking, like some sort of, like Yukon. Get hunt sort of. Okay. But like I was not in the least disappointed. I was thrilled to find out that it wasn't in. There was no snow. I don't miss the snow.

"lee marvin" Discussed on You Must Remember This

"Making airport a movie that gene thought she could have made in her sleep and for what she had been paid more than she had ever made before or would make again made hollywood moviemaking seem all the more insignificant compared to causes light jamal gene deposited five thousand dollars of her airport earnings into an account with 's name on it she bought his montessori school a school bus and in april nineteen sixty nine she hosted a star studded fundraiser at her house for the school the guests included paul newman and joanne woodward vanessa redgrave save lee marvin and jane fonda app jane who had not yet embarked on her own activist mission which will get into in the second half this episode fi one account donated a thousand dollars to the montessori school but dorothy jamal was not impressed by the turnout she said the fundraiser only netted about two thousand dollars total and this didn't seem like enough to make gene seabirds presence and for life worthwhile and gene seem to be becoming disillusioned with the jamal's two as she gravitated more to the black panthers the la chapter of which was now run by masai hewitt's genes beverly hills house became a meeting place for the local panthers a place where they could casually have a meal or a drink without having to watch their backs sometimes they added gene for small amounts of money according to dennis barrie there were times when gene helped them get guns but this would have been extremely risky and seems somewhat unlikely given that gene went to some lengths to conceal her significant contributions to the panthers by using codenames and gobetweens light masai hewitt and his girlfriend elaine brown who became genes friend and confidante.
