"At least anyone who wants to look at all like a progressive has just been rushing so left to try and stand where Bernie Sanders has been Bernie. Sanders has been standing for decades. And so I think he kind of owns the woke territory and he doesn't have to act or change his rhetoric at all to occupy that lane and so if he adds send some things that might appeal to more moderate folks here and there I certainly don't think it's because he's pandering. It might just be no. He's decided to emphasize Some other things he also thinks in order to to get them on board perhaps Charlie. What's your theory? We're actually not GONNA get to Elizabeth Warren later because it's not it's pointless But clearly there was this inflection point in in the race right around the time Bernie heart attack around the Time Elizabeth Warren had her medicare for all financing Troubles where the trajectory if things clearly had had been towards Elizabeth Warren Eclipsing Bernie Sanders. It reversed Bernie overtook her. And now she's she's left in the dust. Why do you think that happened? I'm just GONNA listen to this over and over again so I can. He saying that it's pointing talking about Elizabeth Warren. Such lovely moment is awful awful. A person offer candidate good for America that she's cratering she is really annoying and She is transparently false and I think that over time that became clear. Claire why did it take this long. I don't know I've always been able to sit she. It doesn't quite have a reason for running. She's many things at once. She's supposed to be a technocrat. She's supposed to be an ivy league genius. She's supposed to be a trial blazing woman she. She tried to be Bernie. Light numbers didn't add up. All of the various inchoate reason season. She had for running seemed at some point or another to fall apart and she's left with what not especially likable personality. Plus analogy there are other people who can fulfill most of the things she has on office. There's there's another woman in the race of women who did well last night. There is another pro-socialist in the race and won. People believe means that there are other well educated candidates there are other people with plans I think ultimately Lee Elizabeth Warren was supposed to be a message candidate but she wasn't. She was a personality candidate and the personality. Just didn't that's it. So Luke lesson burning before we move on. Should we make anything from the fact that if you look at his strengths and the map last night one big towns did well in rural areas but he was much softer in the bedroom communities in the suburbs. I don't think he was ever GonNa do particularly really well in the affluent Boston exurbs slash retire coastal retirement home. Parts of New Hampshire as those just aren't his people and they had lots of with better options. I think Bernie's big issue is going to be with older voters And there are a lot of rural older voters that he could be engaging with that he has not Brought over to aside. Those folks are understandable. A lot more on medicare social security Big Structural Change doesn't sound very appealing to people who are drawing down on you fundamental goods that they had built life trajectory expectations around if he can if he can start to move older voters and that's older voters irrespective of race I he's GonNa be unstoppable. So Jim Geraghty question to you. Get a letter grade to the Bernie Sanders campaign so far a if f you know. He's pretty much where he wants to be. Zan I agree. I'd give him an a joke. I wouldn't give him an ao though he's oversee doing very well and is on course to win the nomination. I'd give him a B plus because I think thinks he may have hurt himself a little bit by going to walk by trying to move into the mainstream of online progressivism rather other than keeping his his previous offering which was probably more potent especially against Donald trump than than the cookie. Keller AH COOKIE CUTTER elements. He's brought in Luke Thompson. Give Him I guess a B minus I think he's he was strategically unfocused before the heart attack back and he has a new message from Twenty sixteen that I think is is more compelling primary message but I've I've noticed him beginning to scrap it because he hasn't wasn't able to deliver it particularly effectively. I say it a minus you know. He's not Rampaging to the nomination but he has a better chance than anyone else and that counts for a lot so before we move on..

Winning begets more winning. If you went into place like Iowa New Hampshire. What does that mean for the rest of the cycle? They're obvious questions about that. Coming up from a certain in group of Americans around the country again mostly people of color. It is interesting a for mayor Bloomberg to say this for two reasons one because when when I was in Akron Ohio with him last week I asked him this question. I said you know Mayor Bloomberg. Do you think that Iowa should still be the first state to vote in the nominating contests and he told me. Guess and then a couple of days later. He publishes bed. So I'm I don't know what has changed between now and then but something is clearly changed and the other thing is that it's very convenient talking point for the Bloomberg campaign because that is literally their entire strategy. He has enough money to ignore Iowa. Ignore harsh but to look past Iowa and focus on Super Tuesday choose day and delegate heavy states so that obviously comports with his strategy I mean what is he gonNa say Jason Same Question Look I. I think it's kind of crazy easy. And Look we just saw this and playoff weaken. You can't win the game in the fourth quarter as much as you may think you can so when when Michael Bloomberg is sort of saying well you know I wanNA play okay. So Iowa doesn't matter but I don't think I wish should be there. It's because he's under the sort of bizarre philosophy that somehow he can spend enough money. End Up catching up later on in the campaign Tom Sire had had the same strategy but notice. He's actually now latest polls in second place in South Carolina and very competitive in Nevada. So I think some of this is Michael Bloomberg just trying to get attention for himself self but the reality is this how you perform an Iowa how you perform a New Hampshire will end up making a difference. Do I think they will be absolutely predictive. No not in a campaign ear where your top four candidates have so much money. They will all fight through till two Tuesday and you've got to millionaires. Who aren't going to quit? But at the same time you can't dismiss the significance of these states and again ultimately this will fall on on Tom Perez. Will he take the advice of Bloomberg of of Elizabeth. Warren who's occasionally talked about this issue of Hooghly on Castro. And say look maybe we need to rotate these primary states. Maybe we need to reevaluate. What states are doing because they're impacting the rest of the contest? And maybe we're not getting the best competitive candidates since hugh invoked football. "Choice. They're picking gender ideology as the new new protective class which means they are ditching sex as the old protected class and they're doing it on their twitter accounts and they're doing it. At the presidential debates so three Democratic candidates for president have now added their preferred pronouns to their twitter account and obviously this is kind of silly virtuous signaling to the woke left but the premise of the pronouns the preferred pronouns is that it is entirely possible that they identify as a sex that is not their actual sex the idea being my name is Michael Knowles. I haven't Adam's apple. I have a pretty deep voice. I'm not a hulking Donnas of a man but I'm at least recognizable sizable as a man own structure that sort of thing other things too. I don't go into whack salon so I won't get into it. It is entirely plausible. Under the Pronoun Preferred Pronoun regime that I could say my preferred pronouns are she and and her and you have to refer to me that way that's what Lee Elizabeth Warren is doing. She added she and her to her twitter account. Actually what I did is that she and hers the possessive of it and she did it because she's she's just an old white. boomer lady who really all she wants to do is be cool and woke and Super Hip and she just isn't you know she's. She's like the mom on mean girls. I'm not a regular presidential candidate. I'm cool presidential candidate you know but then it just gets it wrong so she's edited that since she and her not to be outdone bill de Blasio who I completely forgot was in the presidential race current Bolshevik mayor of New York he added he and him just so good. I was confused. I didn't know if I was GONNA call this like tough talking Tall New York mayor. I don't know if I was going to call him a little girl or something it was going to call them she but he adds this too because he is like Elizabeth. Warren always positioned himself as a far left wing candidate and on the progressive and woke side of the Democratic Party but I have to say they both got out walked Warren and build a Blasi. They got out walked by Hulan Castro. Who said that his preferred pronouns are? He him and L. Spanish whoop. That's so much more woke than those two white people those two knuckle draggers didn't even add a Spanish Pronoun L.. There's there is like a kind of as Eric message here by the way because l.. It's also a word for God you know like l. l. a. law or L. has it means God and so I do like this idea that we are playing God when we were trying to say I can recreate myself. I'm a man but I will recreate myself as a woman I I have total power over my nature and my circumstances I mean that is the implicit premise that the left is talking about and <hes> it's coincidentally being expressed in this pronouns but according he he has these preferred pronouns there but even that that wasn't woken up even the Spanish Pronoun wasn't worth enough because according to the New York magazine reporter Olivia Newsy. This is what you tweeted out quote at a planned parenthood event a non binary activist. That's an activist who doesn't think that he's either a man or woman. He's some combination or neither whatever a non binary activist just ask Castro how he'll expand sexual and reproductive health for Trans People Castro response by first asking which Pronoun the activist prefers they replied. I actually don't use any pronouns which received some applause ooh I don't use any pronouns a pretty soon and <hes> Castro's GonNa have to delete those pronouns because the new woke thing for the last five minutes the woke thing has been to add your preferred pronouns but pretty soon that is going to become bigoted and transphobic and homophobic and whatever phobic and so now the new.
