"Malcom gladwin is a stone cold genius who loves A grade sports argument. I went onto bill. Simmons podcast and I had this totally ludicrous thing that I want to talk about. Which was I was like? Could a basketball team made up of Nigerians? An all time basketball team made up of Nigerians be the greatest basketball time and then I ended it. I amended until as I said all right I have to corollaries one is. I'm going to add west Indians because almost Indians not all mostly I'm Jamaican. Where am I what am I people from? We're from originally like I'm Ibo right most Jamaicans cable so I add the Caribbean and then I said and just refund. That's also add the rest of Southern Africa and then I construct the students. Tony Ridiculous Caribbean so busy. I say out can Africa and the Caribbean put together an all time team. It's better than an african-american team a euro team at a white American team. It's the third one. Maybe not. The answer is yes. We don't have time to do this but I will convince you. I can't convince you to Africa and the Caribbean in basketball. All Time team and also your co you qualify by or Nigeria. Will I started? I start with all of ethnic did not all? I'm only adding. I added Southern Africa. 'cause I WANNA have Steve Nash and Joel Embiid on my team. Wade Steve Nash. Born in Johannesburg. He's Canadian. No my rule is that you. Are you qualify? Virtue of your parents. Place a birth. So get all of Steve. Nash Who Play Thompson. Really? He's Bamyan are are are taking. Tim. Duncan Tim Duncan Hang Hau Kim Elijah Akeem Joel Embiid Yoenis Clay Andre iggy Dow Victor Depot Drink Igwe Dolla. Where's he from Nigeria okay? He's full on your deal and Steve. Nash I got a back court of Nash and Thomson. I got a frontcourt of Dunkin embiid. Jaanus Patrick Ewing forward a okay. Right right right right from the islands. This really is in the island. This team is insane when Patrick's coming off the bench. But how just doesn't matter but Kim Jaanus and but sure but but the other team has Lebron Kobe. Japan Michael I know. Just for starters and Steph curry just restarting Potanin Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell. Just just try go ahead. That's the African American teachers. Try Playing Lebron Jordan. Notice what we doing that thing ooh together. Thomas can't come in and Magic Johnson coming in. Can I read this out rushing your your appetite? Engineer Crushes Team Sport Play. You cannot Jordan Jordan and abroad and Kobe on the court at the same time out of your mind. You have all centers you have one forward you have you have guards and a bunch of centers. You got a problem with that because the modern game nobody in the known you already. Janis on Lebron an WHO's covering Jordan who's covering stats got covering step. I got clay and Andrea Diallo. Who in their day or two of the greatest lockdown defenders of the last twenty five years in the NBA? I got a clay and national or two of the pure as shooters and I have argued with the greatest defensive front court in the history of basketball. I Have Yoenis Hekim Akeem Patrick embiid. I mean I have wilt Bill Russell Shack. It's close by. Queen is not close if I had if I was restricted to white Americans. Then maybe may point so I do it as long ludicrous. It's ludicrous ludicrous. And you're right I'm wrong but so what is it that there are people took offense. How on Earth? What is they were like? Oh you know you Kim like first of all all the things to get worked up about in two thousand eighteen in America about race. This is the thing you have said about

"Winning on you early and often tonight as we continue to get your reaction continue to take your calls how you're feeling that thirty eight hours later after the Kobe Bryant use the helicopter crash will also be playing reaction all night from those in the sports world who express their feelings in Kobe's tragic passing lebron James has not spoken since the helicopter crash that we did pay homage to Kobe Saturday night after passing on the scoring west just that the timing is just it was it was it was like a it was a a foreshadowing eulogy almost or Brian gave to Kobe Saturday he just post on Instagram notes to read for you coming up the fight reaction from all over the sports world in the world in general I mean president Barack Obama was tweeting about Kobe Bryant yesterday I bestselling author Jeff Pearlman wrote a bestselling book on the Showtime Lakers and is currently working on a book about the shock Kobe Lakers will join us in the top eleven o'clock hour eight o'clock Pacific he penned a remembrance calm about Kobe for CNN to Jeff Pearlman is one of the best sports reporters out there is most famous for the author of that infamous John rocker SI profile twenty years ago or so he's just written a litany of best selling sports books and again he's doing one right now on the Shaq Kobe Phil Jackson you're a Lakers are very excited to talk to Jeff problem and get his insights and all this coming up again top eleven o'clock hour but yeah that's the kind of story that's on the presents it and it's touched every facet of our life over the last again two days the widespread reaction shows just how much of an impact Kobe had and how it extended far beyond the basketball court you know is the word the cream of Georgia buyer Kobe was much more than an athlete's eighty you look at his career accomplishments they speak for themselves five championships eighteen all star games won MVP two finals MVPs fourth on the all time scoring list eighty one points in a game sixty points in his final game he was the bridge between Michael Jordan lebron the most tenacious competitor of his time and what I've enjoyed reading especially the last couple days it is just all the stories about Kobe's unrelenting competitiveness from Allen Iverson son interview with A. I. relaying a story from his rookie season they're both rookies in nineteen ninety six playing each other in a preseason game Kobe went to the gym Hey I clubs night before that so that's Kobe rolled Robert Ory saying Kobe was dumbfounded when he saw I'm drinking the night before a preseason game he's right before game nights really Robert always like due to the pre season didn't matter of course elbowing possibly a church in the face for seemingly no reason a few years ago and Lakers practice so he was the utmost competitor he was tenacious on the floor but that's not going to be his ultimate basketball legacy Kobe's all to Methos well legacy again extends far beyond the court in that would've been enough yeah that's enough when the greatest players of all time the bridge between Jordan and lebron I mean that is enough five championships that's enough for anybody my Kobe's legacies ultimate legacy goes far beyond the most important contribution Kobe made is how inspired a generation of young athletes and young black athletes in particular I mean all you need to do is just listen to the words of his peers you could see the pain on seemingly every player's face as they slogged through games yesterday games that just seems so trivial and so out of place locker rooms are closed to the media prior to games Irving left the arena altogether opted not to play the Lakers announced earlier tonight there rescheduling their game tomorrow against the clippers that's the right move let's talk about this later but I think all NBA games should have been canceled yesterday this is a league that talks about how much it's dedicated to combating mental health and yet you make players play through that pain yesterday I think a bit strange but again you just listen to all the tributes across the sports world in the world in general about Kobe Bryant it just shows how much of an impact he had on not just guys is basketball wives but their lives their their lives in totality lebron James posted an Instagram about ten minutes ago I'm not ready but here I go these are lebron's first words since Kobe's passing cameras caught him yesterday breaking down on the tarmac after the Lakers plane landed from Philadelphia an invasion of privacy I would say I mean I think that the media coverage in the immediate aftermath of Kobe's passing just brought out the worst in us it really did I mean I I understand lebron James is a megastar and there's a lot of interest in his thoughts on Kobe Bryant's bite as you see by this Instagram post he was going to share them when the time is appropriate I think you let you let somebody born in peace but nonetheless we didn't see what Ron break down yesterday this we post on Instagram I'm not ready but here I go man I'm sitting here trying to write something for this post but every time I try I began crying again just thinking about you these Gigi and the friendship father brother what brother had we had a literally just heard your voice Sunday morning before I went to Philly to head back to LA I didn't think for one bit in a million years not be the last conversation we have I'm heartbroken and devastated I love you big bro my heart goes to Vanessa in the kids I promise you'll continue your legacy man you mean so much to all of us especially Laker nation it's my responsibility to put this stuff on my back and keep it going please give me the strength from the heavens above and watch over me I got us here there's so much more I want to say I just can't right now because I can't get through it until we meet again my brother mom but for life so those all of Ron's first public statement since Kobe's passing again roughly twelve hours before Kobe's passing lebron was in Philadelphia where he met Kobe in two thousand two he was sixteen years old pass them on the all time scoring list and again all of all the tributes that have been said about Kobe the last few days the most poignant one came from a cron again twelve hours before his passing it's so good it's it's worth it's worth a listen to some of it because I got drafted osteo just admired him you know Sam we was able to accomplish when the championships haven't you know will be early in his career where you know he he learned from the Mrs that he had against a series against Utah and he just use that as motivation I got better and better and better to him when a multiple championships and continue to a mime do all my school right and.

"To land atop free agent this summer on the other hand rebuke, or said, one of those top free agents to be your Ving. We'll decide between the nets and Lakers. Rick is back with us. So what is your best guess, on additions? The Lakers will make this summer who have to take somebody hostage. Meaning they're going to have to trade for them. And that's the difficulty there is you were hoping you were going to add talent without having to give any away. If you're making a deal now, you're going to have to sacrifice some of what you have in order to add talent, and as a result, how much better, your team is going to be collectively. Is up in the air. This is how bad the situation is for the Lakers. I was told Kobe Kobe had said to me on a couple of different Cajun's. I'm not involved with the Lakers. I'm not doing anything with ours. Now, I was told that he was involved in talking to kyri and trying to convince him to come out and the reasons why he should be rejoined forces with with LeBron Kobe reached out to be again today and said. I'm not in don't, don't count me as part of that. That's a reflection of where this organization is a guy who is steeped in the purple and gold does not want to be part is former agent running the show. It's like don't don't make me part of that mess. Right. Do you think that this was triggered by the Palinka video using Kobe's you told them? I think it's all of it. It's all it's such a mess. Magic walking off the way that he did the, the video the suggestion that he's somehow involved and therefore knows that the chances of somebody getting here. Kobe doesn't want it to look like, hey, I am involved. I am recruiting I am trying to get talent here. And we got enough and we we're, we're sakes. Yeah, nobody wants to be part of that. And that is what it looks like right now. It's I wish for Lakers fans and I wish for LeBron that he's the ending with be somehow different. And for the league as a whole, that he would become part of the equation. Again, it's just it's hard for me to imagine that a here from now we're going to be sitting here, and we're not going to be talking about the same thing, which is what the playoffs look without LeBron James quick question. The quickest fix. To me right here right now would be for genie to fire, rob Pelinka. I've not heard a single good word about him since all this mess started. Have you? I don't know if you ever heard a good thing about him. Is there anything positive about? He he tried to call back the debate heart. I ever heard anything good about rob Pollica still heading now back to the question would genie fire him or they, they too close. So they would she swallow pride? And, and just say, I got a cut ties at this point. No, I don't see a way in which she's going to change direction. It's going to be we have the summer. See, we see it from the outside. And we heard all this, I feel as if right now the Lakers, are living in a bubble and it's an echo chamber, and they're believing no will be okay..

"Shannon's guy LeBron came in a distant second with about twelve percent of the vote and Coby was third with about ten percent. Join Abbas one MBA analyst house. Are you surprised by these numbers? No. Because if you look at it who vote for your your competitor and say that they're the best. Nobody's going to do that. It's going to be the younger kids, the younger kids that but for the most part anybody this in their entering their pro not internet prime air in the middle of their prime or leaving their prime. They all seem Jordan and play. So Jordan's gonna get the overwhelming number of votes of those guys, especially if they're older guys if they're younger, you're going to get the Kobi's and the Broncos that's who they watched if you do this again in about eight years, Jordan, LeBron Kobe's numbers will go up because that's who those people watched and accessible to them. You don't have to go. What if what if they just believe that? Let's say what if they say, this is the truth. Some do believe that some do believe there. But for the most part, you you is just like what happened to magic or Kareem on this list. They went down because as the older players who actually seen them. They're not in the league. No more. So they can't vote on that. They can't vote man. Got no votes. Blabber? All. Yeah. So that's what you'll see joins vol. Better. Corrine one five MVP's and seven years five. How many win told us? He's got another. He did he walked by the and if you go to YouTube, right? So if you wanna go look at highlights, who's highlights are more fun to watch Jordan's or kareem's. Thank you or birds or Jordan's. You want Jorda highlight? We're LeBron's Jordan's. That's why they don't have to go to highlight the LeBron they've been growing watching. They watch it it. They gotta go to YouTube. They see maybe they've been around LeBron enough to know the flaws and there are flaw Ovalles to join had no flows. I don't know that do you? I don't know any flaws six oh is flawless. Six. Why does this flaw left? Why did it flawless as you could get? Why why do you take someone off the court? We got all off to go. All this. Two long long season. Is a tough stretch. I know our guys it's funny the minute Steph leaves their spiritual Koumba ought teeters into the abyss anybody noticed that who's really the rock solid center of this franchise. I mean, that's that's that shouldn't be hard to see. It's obvious. Yeah. Everyone I mean, Kevin Durant is considered by some to be the best player in the NBA. Lebron Steph is Steph seem kind of let Katie take the reins publicly. But it's when you think of the warriors, you think of Katie are, you think of staff you think of Seth, and that's that's nothing. That's not a knock on Katie. But they were they had this going before Katie saying on pro athletes, the smart ones. Most people just play the game the great ones like LeBron Kobe MJ playing think the game. And it's the same thing with leadership. Most guys are players jeeter. Lebron our players slash leaders and teach leadership. Oh, it it's something you've developed within just like you can't make someone change people have to want to change themselves for any particular reason other than they want to change for themselves. But there there's something going on there. No warriors starter hit a three pointer on the night. And that's a I recall the state since March of two.

"Podcast app hits subscribe button for me, leave a rating, leave a review. Those things are extremely helpful. You can also shoot me a note over on Twitter or Instagram. My handle is at. Evan Daniels would love to know what you think about the conversation. It's time to go. Seven Daniels send it in big fella. Now I want to bring on Fox Sports producer, Conrad company, and a friend of mine. A friend of the podcast help guide this conversation about the g. league and then get into some of the who I think are the best draft prospects for next year Conrad, what's up, man? How are things in, how's it going? My man how everything then life is good. Life is good in in Nashville for a couple days in gearing up for the college seasons. Crazy were a little less than two weeks away from the start of the college season. I'll be at the champions classic when Kentucky and Duke go head to head and it should be a fun event at why. No, we're gonna get really entrenched in this whole conversation about holiday athletes or work kit. You wanna go to college anymore. Their strategy league jump right into this, then yeah, let's do it overall. What are your thoughts? I mean kid at high school being offered one hundred twenty five thousand dollar contracts goes straight to the Geely or take all college. All you think this is good for college, athletics. And how do you think players are going to react to this aisle? Liane est Conrad. I don't think it really moves the needle. I don't think the the number is high enough. If the Julie came out and said five hundred thousand dollars. I think that people would take it a little more seriously, but one hundred twenty five thousand dollars for elite high school basketball players. In my opinion, I don't think that reward is worth the risk, and there is certainly a big risk. If you're a potential top five top ten draft pick to to make that type of move, you're going to play against grown men. You're going to play against guys that are fighting for their livelihoods fighting for roster spots, and I'm sure people will point to, you know, there's plenty of guys that have gone straight to the NBA out of high school before the rules changed, but those guys were getting guaranteed contracts as first round draft picks. This is going into the g. league exposing yourself to the entirely to the entire NBA in my opinion is is a pretty big risk. Yeah, and we know how everyone is gonna reacted this, and we're already starting to see the backlash of it. People are thrown out the names, generational talent, like MLB, Ron, Koby, Kevin Garnett saying, well, they did it. Why can't these kids? Can you explain why this logic is basically flawed for today's game, we speaks to exactly what I just said about, you know, one LeBron Kobe, those are generational type talents. There's going to be a guy or two that come around every so often. And obviously those type of players could walk into the g. league and have success right away. But even if you look at last year's draft de'andre eight and went number one that year in college for him was extremely beneficial. He took major steps forward, not only in his game, but with his approach with this body, he'd never lifted a weight before that one year of college was was crucial for him. I just think if you're an elite high school basketball player and you're going to start in the g. league, I think it's a risk for the reasons I just said. But then also, you know, in college you, you have won the stage. Playing in sold out arenas. Your playing against top level schools. You're getting TV exposure or your flying at the big schools. You're chartering jets. It's the travel is way different. And with g. league, you're throwing an eighteen year old out on the road and and their traveling late at night, travelling early in the morning. It's not the g. leagues not nearly as glamorous as the NBA life obviously of intially. They're gonna open it up where kids can go straight to the NBA and I think that's the best option for one. If you're going to take that type of risk and a lot of those guys will wanna guarantee that they're going in the first round and they can get a guaranteed contract of a first round guaranteed contract of a couple years that gives them stability that gives a team reason to invest in that player..

"You know, little quick little film, I guess you wanna call it fifteen seconds and seconds and the, I guess the caption behind it was every time someone's debating Jordan versus LeBron Kobe fans bring that moment against the Orlando Magic up in which Kobe Bryant is staying there out of bounds with. The governor's mouth and he's just kind of swaying back and forth and. Matt Barnes. Try to fake, throw it at them and he did such a good job that even when I watch it on a screen on my own computer, I flinched y'all. Like athletes. So to me, I think that's more impressive because not only did he not flinch, but he didn't blink even react like like thinking about somebody like fake, punt your eyes will at least blink. He didn't blink. That's a physiological reaction. Like if somebody's that close to your face? Yes, like even even like a play slap with my daughter like messing around, like you're going to blink like instinctually, your body is wired to blink. Kobe didn't blink. His face did not change one iota. Again, it was like, it was like, have you ever seen that movie the last boy scout? Yes. With Bruce Willis. Remember that guy, swingset Willis and Damon. Wayans. We'll just catches the punch. Yeah, he just catches that fist in his hand. Yeah, it's the equivalent of that, but mono with this bat, not only did he swatted down you gotta remember if mono misses that bad is still in there and a game with delay. Oh, no, no, no. Forget that that bats coming after him. Because at that point it's like, you know, it's like if you swatted a b. and you miss the be the comes after you. You got a bat coming after you bats, have sharp teeth, man. You don't wanna get bit by a bat. First of all, I'm not even trying to put my hand out there because of the bed. So monolith known, look that's tub, but still LeBron brought Kobe not flinching that that is on some next level. I think at the end of the day, you know, we've all seen like a bird or something to come by. Swat it down, like get out of here. You never swatted a bird down. Sometimes you see like a little pigeon Assam. They Klein your car, which is not a bad man. I'm just saying like anything flying is a bird to me. Okay. I'm gonna put this out on Twitter Cham Cham brothers which was more bad ass. Kobe not flinching at the ball fake mono nobly swatting on the bat, and we will get the opinion coming up next of an NBA expert on this question, Brian Windhorst about to join us. "Do you really want those two guys to tell you this is how long we've been doing it. We've been doing this, Tom told us to do it. This is our, we've been doing it. Do you really won't that you? No, because he said that they were completely innocent as charge. The two guys are ball men or whatever you wanna call him ballboys in. So he's saying, I'm not going to take them down wrongly because I've been wrongly accused and they're being wrongly accused, and he said, from the start, I only ask that the footballs be. Illegally deflated to the lower end of the spectrum that was allowed simple as that in all the everything that came out after that game that night against obviously Indianapolis brew that with Radi. Right. Skip that wasn't going to what he was going to have to death wasn't what he's going to have to admit to. He wasn't going to be mitt today. Yo, Kate. I told them to take it to the lower limit. He would have to have to say they did this upon themselves. They went below what the NFL regulations allow. They did this. They went rogue on their own. That's what he was going to have to mitt to not to the lower limits. So now he puts himself in jeopardy because by throwing them under the bus, they come back, Tom Brady. Did this Tom Brady told me to this is how long we've been doing this visit, how we do it every game. This is how we get around the Fitschen, Tom Brady smart enough to know I needed live leave. Well, enough alone, because the worst case scenario, nobody's talking is my word against the NFL. The last thing I need is two guys on the NFL side against me, you know, and I know if those two guys ever talk if they Tom Brady told me to do this, skip if over gay. Sit match. Yeah, but he's saying they're both innocent. So how, how would you just speculating? They would go rogue and turn on Tom Brady. Give your saying if he pays the million dollar fine. He's going to have to admit they did this without his knowledge. No, he offered to pay a fine if that's what the NFL one it, but he wasn't going to incriminate either of these guys know. But that was not a part of the green that he can just paid a million dollars. That's what the NFL said. No, you've got incriminate you gotta say that they both deflated the footballs saying they didn't. And then Tom Brady went to court and he won the first round at the lower level in Manhattan. He won an NFL home game in court. And then when it went to the appeals court, he just ran out of time. The the season was upon him and he said, okay, I've fought long enough. I've been a big enough distraction, but to me, this was the ultimate sacrifice by guy who's become one of the all-time great leaders in the history of sport, we're gonna talk our next segment about Ray Lewis who's at the top of my list, but Tom Brady, he don't think he won big points in his locker room by saying, I'm not going to incriminate those two guys not gonna rat on them. There's nothing rattling because he thought they were innocent there. There's my point skip. He's stood to gain nothing, but paying the fide and saying they did it. He, he gained nothing. I believe he gave away more by taking the suspension and swallowing this and saying they had nothing to do with. I had nothing to do with it. I'm not dragging anybody down with me out. I don't believe I did anything. I know they didn't do anything, but if you want to spend me, you want to be on your pedestal. Punish me for what you should have done. More harshly for spy gate, so be it, but I'm not telling anybody the thing is get when you when you run the when you tell someone you run the risk of, you have done something in the past and someone knows about it, and now they bring that up. So I believe Tom did the right thing. Take the poor gangs. They're going to be a segment that believes he has something to do with it. They're going to be a segment that believes he had nothing to do with it. But in this situation, skill paying that million dollar fine and diamond, those guys out what they far greater risk than taking the game suspension..

"That was the biggest we've ever seen for an eighteen or nineteen year old coming into this league. And I know you say what about LeBron? But everybody wanted LeBron to succeed. Nobody was rooting against LeBron when he came out of high school, I don't think I don't know of anybody, but Lonzo about two thirds of the NBA world was rooting against Lonzo because of his father because they're just rooting against lavar. They wanna see lavar fall fall and fail. And so in turn, it has to start with Lonzo what blowback Lonzo because they're really ruling give lavar correct. So in this case. Kobe is taken a keen interest in a Boston Celtic upcoming star. And again, Lakers Celtics is not the ultimate NBA rivalry or inland in all during the playoffs. I kept thinking Kobi. What are you doing like your Mr. Laker you've become the number one Lakers ambassador in again, he didn't say this publicly Kobe about Lonzo and Jason Tatum. He told his to drew Hanlin this NBA shooting coach skills. Coach in drew Hanlin told an f. s. one reporter that Koby finally concluded. Why didn't we the Lakers draft Jason Tatum. I'm not surprised that Kobe would feel that way you can. You can always go back and make that case because they're saying, okay, why did the Laker draft presenters instead of Dangelo Russell? Why didn't? Why didn't Portland take him into rant over Greg Oden? There's always situations where you can go like they should've taken that guy over this guy, but in a situation like this, I think Kobe life. Everybody. The doesn't play for the Lakers because nobody threes his legacy. I don't think. Do you not letting LeBron would ever reach out to Kobe? He probably ask him you, okay, we'll look going on, but not not. As far as game team, you LeBron you think going to be all head over here. Come help the brunt. I believe, Kobe. Everybody that doesn't play for the Lakers head. Anything that could possibly do to make a dent. Take a dent into his legacy. We know how to protect the Kobe. We know how Koby fans how protective they are of Coby. So I'm not surprised that Kobe's doing this. I believe, Kobe insincere. I believe Koby wants to help guy. I'm not so sure that if coups would reach out, do I think he'd helped Kuzma maybe we need to have one of these guys reach out to Kobe and see in order for us to have definitive proof one way or another. But I just believe Jason Tatum reached out to it and says, okay, but he sees what Jason Tatum of Jason Tatum can legitimately be a twenty five point of night's scores skip. He legitimate, be a four, five, six, seven, eight rebound tonight guy keep the Boston Celtics. You can't do that. If you're Kobe Bryant, you cannot details whatever you wanna call it. You can't do it. You just have to draw the line. I know he's trying to segue into his second career Hollywood and in analysts work and I get that, but but he's he. He loves Jason Tatum in part because Jason Tatum loves him in modeled his game after. He's shown the film by this drew Hanlin look how much Jason Tatum looks like you because he's, he's practicing all your moves. Well. Yeah, we're comb your fam- ju- Hanlin making out his of these guys. I can get some of this money. If you go pay shooting coach, two hundred thousand three hundred thousand dollars aid, break bread with me, too. Okay, I got real tips for the expense of the Los Angeles Lakers really. You're gonna do that because to me, if you're saying, why didn't we the Lakers draft Jason Tatum aren't you taking a big shot at Magic Johnson? Isn't that critical? Again? He didn't go public with it. It was handling Ryan things being equal. All things being equal skip. Yeah, they should've..

"She knows this, right? She knows that we get players from other away the time. The way I would describe it as basically like like Derek jeeter thing, no matter what New York, that's their guy. So for Soper Koby that our guy no matter what, but he doesn't have disowned Kobe to embrace LeBron those things aren't mutually exclusive. Here's the thing. Kobe has approved LeBron Kobe is glad LeBron what she suffering. She's siphoning Loboda. Loboda derangement syndrome LeBron derangement, Elliot, LDS here's s.. Here's the. Crazy. Trading, here's a crazy. You tell that we're trading for quiet. She's all for that yet. I would. I would get a quieter. The no problem with it can explain it. So she probably like in when Mason I were growing up, they used to have these. They would come Bine monsters and put him in the same. Like Godzilla vs Rodin. You're what you're. Yeah, girlfriends issue is she she can only be loyal to one superpower, I guess. Right. Well, I guess that's good for me. Yeah, that is it for you. But I would tell her to examine the history of the Lakers the history of the Lakers agree we go out and get the biggest stars and bring them here. It happened with will happen with Kareem with pow. You know, magic, unworthy, get drafted. That's about it. All right. Well, Caesar, listen, I hope that you can work through this with her and if not, Caesar, you got to kick her loose strike before. Before before before I hang up. Yup. I used to not be fine a Steve Mason. I just wasn't a fan, but to be honest, when he came out, I was like, all of that white became a superfan after that. Man, I appreciate that there's two things I encourage you to do for a lot of years. Courage you to come out and I encourage you to let your hair go gain. And yeah, go gay. And both of them have worked out pretty well out really well, I'm I couldn't. I couldn't be happier about, you know, I think what it is with with the LeBron thing is like he said, she'd be fine with coli, right? She's all in on that. I don't get this point is that there's a baton and it was handed from Michael to Kobe to LeBron right. And I think the problem that marry and the fans that may not be excited about LeBron the problem is that they are like the icon ick faces of the NBA back to back. So you're casing the most iconic face for an era with the next iconic face to come along. That's where the challenge I think comes from with these. These few Laker fans from LeBron derangement syndrome that you know what that is. It's a red herring Steve. It's. Red herring. It's a delusion. It doesn't all of our stars. Yeah. So you said there's a passing of torch from what did you describe him as the iconic face of the lay? So let me tell you this Kareem icon face. Will I icon face shack, iconic face, we stolen from other teams. All three of them. It just doesn't add up. People aren't, if you, well, if there was social media and there were sports, then maybe people people may have felt the same way, but there's, yeah, LeBron let's call it LeBron syndrome LBS instead of Libro l. DEA healthy s. LeBron if you know any Mormons, you can say, hey, LBS is cool, Greg, where do you get? All right. Let's go to Johnny in LA line three, Johnny in LA on the beloved line. Three. Hi, Johnny. Big fan. I just had a question about KB. A lot of I, I've heard of him on a product game. Man, you know, and they were going back and forth saying that all Katya saw and you know it was the week move. He went to Bolden favor. Katie stayed with o'casey plane with Brazil. He may end up with zero raisins if he retires. Now, after the move he's had, he has to Renes into finals in BT's yet it's a career move. He has. He hadn't paid yet. My Johnny you on this. We did a lot. We did a lot on. I take this morning on this topic. Here's the thing we no longer live in a world where star players are going to play their whole careers with one. Yeah, actually threw that out there. What is is there a star player for c. today right now in his twenties, who might play the rest of his career where he is?.

"Do that so it's a story of these two guys coming together one trying to recreate his past the other one trying trying to discover his future thompson author of the soul of basketball the epic showdown between lebron kobe dock and dirk that saved the nba where does basketball stand now ian in the hierarchy of american professional sports i mean you know you you still think with tv ratings despite them going down that nfl is is number one but whereas the nba now the nfl is number one i i think you hear a lot of people talking about the nba and basketball is being the cendant and you you now here's something i didn't think we'd here for quite a long time people forecasting the idea that someday sooner than later the nba will be the top sports league in america and the and i do see that coming for two reasons the nba is the only american league that's got global future at the nfl i i lived in europe for six years american football is impossible for people to comprehend it is i've been to other places where they've tried to play it and it's just too complicated and too expensive to play and it's too dangerous as we're finding out the there's the american families are are starting to second guess whether their kids should play so and then baseball is is seen the slow and that's the problem that baseball's trying to confront and i don't know how they fixed that either basketball seems to be a sport that that that is the senate because it appeals to people it's exciting it even as is acceptable on phones you can watch a game on your phone and that's how a lot of people around the world are watching it so if you think about the a league as as our technology becomes more wired than people on the other side of the world can watch things at the same time as we can that's gonna be a huge marketplace for the nba the draw from that that the nfl and major league baseball will not be able to touch obviously race plays an important i mean remember older relatives of mine saying this too many blacks in the nba and some that persists with some people still but really when you talked about europeans looking at there there is it is a very diverse sport you've got people from all different countries is the view.
