"Do you know where he is right now? Because you just said to Saket and well for Gruden, I was going to say, Well, the only job Gruden's ever going to get is gonna be with his brother. Right. We'll end up. He'll end up with the Raiders. He's actually got the offensive coordinator job of the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is crazy. Okay? Just It's It's amazing that A lot of there's a lot of coaches and a lot of black coaches can't get a chance. Can't get promoted here. You have Jay Gruden, who, you know, everyone in the NFL knows all these stories behind the scenes. On the craziness of it, and, you know, he's always been a coordinator of like a bad football Team J Group. He still ends up. He still ends up getting a job after the fact. But that's the privilege of being white in the National Football League. That's the privilege of having last name. Gruden. Ah as well because you know, you can listen and Gruden good. His playbook is pretty good. You know. Jay Gruden was an arena Football league legends. And he was a quarterback. And, like Kurt Warner, being a being an arena quarterback gives a great vision and it really helps you on a bigger field. After the fact. And you know Jay Gruden. Listen. Jay Gruden was one of the greatest quarterbacks in Arena Football League history. And then he was a big time coach. Any arena league and, you know, I've always liked his schemes. I'm not gonna lie like you know, we can criticize him. I've talked about Jay Gruden for years. About, you know. He's a good play caller. He has good schemes, but he has bad relationships would players and as we see why, I mean, evidently, the allegations are they're sleeping with the same women so that could lead to having Bad relationship with players, but he does have a very good offensive mind yet with all that being stated With all that being stated. Even though, is he's got a decent offensive mind. He shouldn't be the coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars right now. Like I said, it just goes to prove, like put it this way. Calling Kaepernick takes a knee never played another down in the National Football League get after Other people. You know, I could do blow with cheerleaders cheat on their wives bench players because, you know they're sleeping with the same women make personnel decisions, and there's those allegations out there than a personnel decision actually lead To Alex Smith getting injured that that's what happened, you know, and we'll get into this more actually, because there's always something with the Redskins. On and on. We also now swearing is basically confirming all of this right now. All right, so we're gonna get into the MLS tripleheader will talk from a F l know NASCAR as well. NASCAR goes to Texas game time ships and continues Into the night..

"We got one last conversation at checkout from two thousand nine hundred Joe Norris, got to sit down with the very first ever, pro gamer fatality. Listen. This is such an honor man somebody who's a big fan of shooters always been a big finishing. There's quake now moving on to overwatch and whatnot. I it's so awesome. To have you on the show? Thank you very much. So you were here at in a be giving a huge Keno about east sports, and you know, where it's headed. Got so much new investment, especially in the past five years just sort of give us a walk through of where you were when everything was going on with quake, and sort of where we are. Now, obviously back when I was doing basically the mid nineties the internet was only kind of fresh market for me three or four years. So I travel around the tournaments all around the mid west, you know, for me when quoting free internet for years, why was much different back then, but I found out about Termini tonight nine that was getting away. I think it was like twenty five grand or something along those lines, and I five hundred bucks. My Bank county, Texas and four thousand dollars begin playing quake three. And so for me. I was like, wow, I made four planet video games. At the time. I was like a waiter and working at ISP doing tech support and so forth and so to make four rand in one weekend was crazy. And it's basically after that, it'd just evolved to Canadian by represent USA Sweden. I there one eighteen games train is zero twelve guys in the world became champion. And then after that. Sponsored and basically my career started. I was making six figures around the gate and base the guy trying the code on how to make a living playing video games. I gotta hear more about this. Because obviously the landscape of east sports has changed so much since you were coming onto these foreseeing versus what a young person connects back today for those who are coming onto these today. Can you talk about what being an early pioneer sports was like well, like I said like, you know, meals, traveling to internet cafes travelling out trouble as far as like three hours away from my hometown to planning tournament one hundred guys show up or so you're saying it's the best players and showed up, and you know, you win those tournaments you get a little credibility. But you don't really famous for it. You just like, you know, you're famous in your community of your friends. I went to remember being in high school when I remember an algebra class. I have the and the front Bindra had things champion champion. Brag calcium home with with my behind me. I was like, dude. I'm a champ. Just give for not wanting. So a lot of trash talking. You know, there's always like a fun to mess around. But you know, obviously, going the loaded up my computer, bringing computer to Texas. I mean, I had to find a friend that would let me say his apartment, and basically you separate lands there in his living room. And we basically just practice must be could to the qualifier. And they went to the tournament. I remember if I thought side even have shoes on just like just just go lucky fun exciting. Plan for money. This is like exhilarating feeling like it's east sports really at the beginning and scare for that. You know, you start taking them more serious than I start taking more serious, obviously evolved to kind of like, you know, they have all these sports in the sense. Like, you want to represent yourself, you know, as professional and everyone was giving me for being two professional like, you know, I'm winning. I'm trying to get deals here. I'm trying and trying to be on TV. I'm trying to spread the word of east boards has not like. This little hobby for me. He's sports was about this is competition. This is no different than traditional sports. So when I was doing it, and you know for a long time my goal is always to make eastwards as high as possible like on everyone's radar. Nothing is really interesting because I remember when I will be reading like game pro and like game informer and stuff and let you will be in those magazines. We like all these peripherals row fatality is just go. Like, wow, this is like the best in the world. And now, it seems like there so many professionals in so many outlets now for east sports. I mean, do you do you worry, I guess that each horse could get to a point I guess of of over saturation as somebody who's been here at the beginning. Do you worry that it could grow too fast? The main thing we've been doing. So we're just trying to catch up to traditional sports by think, we're already passage official sports other ways, you know, just, you know, how he engaged with, you know, the people that we enjoy on twitch on YouTube on I feel like we're more connected than in traditional sports. So the accesses more this past for a long time. And I just you know, I I love everything value sports into c word is now I mean. I'm a massive fan. But I've been kind of that Johnny Appleseed or that guy that winter barnstorm the world all done event for great wall. China done Vincent lesser, Schwerin. London. I've been told strike heated their Singapore all over Europe all raise over Merrick over South America. And the thing is like, you know, I'm probably the most interviewed gamer in the world. You know, I've been doing this for very long time. But also, I mean, I'm trying to make sure that I let people know why eastward Schwartz fun. Why competitive and why there's so many people that are engaged into it. Because I always tell the story of like how I got niece boards. And the why I thought it was such an amazing thing was I play traditional sports as a kid. I played baseball and football played hockey and tennis golf sports. Right. But things in Kansas City knocking at the best training to be the best in the world. I'm not going to be the best skier or snowboarder, Missouri. There's no mountains. No, I'm not going to be the best golfer because we have all four seasons there. So the thing is I was limited on how good I could be at these sports in Kansas City, but eastwards online be able to compete in your basement. There's only one of them is the best player in the world could be any town any city. So the access the east porch brought to the world and internet brought to the world really loud for this phenomenon to happen with all these people that want to compete in play and be the best thing it'd be so the thing is about east sports right now. I wanna ask who's who's doing it? Right right now, who do you see in terms of e sports, whether it be individual or league or game that you think really has begun to figure the whole thing of it out while you know, obviously, Ryan league legends didn't amazing job with all the things they've been doing even I looked like TNT league, or they did that also may him because it brought to mainstream television, you know. And I think everyone's trying to copy those the. Those things successful. You know, once people see success, they all try to copy it or or do some ways I think sometimes game companies might be to to make their game. And eastward went in route is not even popular for me. Like, you know, there's obvious four nights should make any sports division for the game. Because there's just to be playing it and everyone wants to gauge with it the merchandise everything that goes with it just a no brainer all of the doted other. Right. I mean Doda was I mean, just crowdfunding the prize money is unbelievable. I wish to God we had that back in my day. I I definitely that mindset may be among the older crowd of of a man, I wish this could have been thing when I was was, you know, growing up, but at the same time we're seeing a lot of players like I think of a Reginald with CSM where once they've kind of stopped playing. They're starting their own team and trying to make that better experience for the next generation of players up. And he talked about that. I mean, that's just kind of evolution of sports over the years. I mean for me all of a sudden I play I played all the years while the deals, but like, my my evolution was to create a brand for gamers touted gaming brand. And so that was my exit exit. You know, I I saw the plane because you want to build a window of like, you know, authenticity issues right now current everything, but as time went on, you know, I had a game plan after afterwards. You know, my game keep Taliban business key involved, these embassador and. Even right now woman, the newest analysis ready up ready up his he's fourteen platform, the building helping people meet compete and get better. Vistaprint a massive calendar for all eastwards being nostrils to basically league citizens like we want to help the mainstream now getting eastwards giving them a calendar for what I'm after playing console PC awhile whatever game to play and people want to know how to get into the game. And so if you make it easier and more accessible you start building structure in east where we can really create more engaging for the publishers more engagement for the tournaments and make life easier for team managers for the players and meet people they liked to play with. And so we've been working very hard on that. And we have a big announcement at eighty three coming up this year. Awesome. And that was sort of piggybacks on next question is that you know, we we're in a place where there's a lot of people looking to get into sports from an investment standpoint. So what advice would you have for those who may be on that? And he's forced to sort of make it easier for them to get into in. Not just, you know, throw money at something that may not necessarily be has also the thing is like a lot of people make investments..

"This is Business Rockstars and we're back with Chris hopper. Head of east sports North America at riot games. Chris much for joining us today. So contractually just tuning in give me a little background on what you do at. Right. So I lied eastward efforts for North America. So currently that constitutes all of our league legends Eastport so operating our league called the alleged ship series. Our studio that we have in west LA the live events we put on our spring finals coming up in Saint Louis in a couple of weeks, and then a lot of our beating in partnership effort. So how we distribute our content the brains which used a partner with and then ultimately the entire broadcast operation self and then presumably with future games leaning into those efforts as well. That's raising and what are some of the key business lessons that you've learned in running a global company, you know, I think. There's been a lot of interesting questions about the the strategy of how to implement sports and one of our early realizations was that you can't just apply the same sort of cut and paste strategy and every market I think league of legends took off so exponentially that a lot of people assume that like, oh, this plan will work everywhere. And when we saw the rise of lease sports in North America and Europe and Creon China. We just kind of soon like, okay, cool drop Liyan, and it'll just work, and what we realized was that in several other markets that wasn't necessarily how they wanted to consume their sports. They want to see more term based or you know, there or league wasn't are the biggest game. And so we had to really kind of step back and question what the limitation strategy was one our goals war because a lot of markets. Also, we just assumed like everything was gonna keep going up into the right? But the reality was there's markets things viewership. You know, sponsor investment, we're going to be Taft just based on the size of this market. So we had to be kind of conscious about. You know, what we were kind of leading this markets because everyone looked at a and said, oh, you know, I want a new studio, you know, I wanna franchise teams. You know, I want to do what they're doing. But the reality is that there were different steps for different regions, and we need to kind of be conscious of that develop custom strategies across. So I think it was really understanding that you know, painting with two Ida paintbrush can actually be pretty branded of. And so we needed to be a lot more aware of how you're planning. Absolutely. And there's some big athletes getting involved in east sports wreck socks Michael Jordan, even magic literally beg discuss the popularity among professional athletes sports. Rich is a great example of you know, he got into James v league of legends because you're playing with his son. And once he did he found an environment that he felt was very akin to the NBA. It was a basketball eventually the NBA. He found an environment where masters rewarded where you had to invest time. In developing your skills where teamwork and communication just fun world valued. And so when he bought a team, you know way before a lot of the other kind of big investors got into the scene. It was because he saw the promise. And he saw the similarities between those two sports. And you know, now that he owns a team, and he's able to implement a lot of the learnings of he's had from being in the NBA for so long. You know, he's able to drive a lot of success out of his athletes, and he's able to shape them and grow them in the ways that NBA teams of joy for decades now. So when you look at these investors coming in they're excited about the potential. I think there's there's some degree of. Uncertainty about what the future is. But there's a little bit of hype that comes with that of who knows how big this can be. I think there's some investors who are doing it just because it's the new hot thing. But when you look at kayak FOX who've really taken the time to get into the scene who've really invested themselves, you know, both our time in their money in this case with his purchase on the team. It's really because those guys believe in what we're doing it. They believe that this is the next big four not only in North America globally. And so it's probably reassuring to us because to see guys that have that experience have been sacrament and get that validation from them is is really great, but also leaning on their knowledge base leaning on their experience in business is incredibly helpful because we're trying to make decisions right now around things like geo location where we want to know whether we should take our teams and put them in different cities around the country. And we have you know, six or seven different NBA teams represented. Our ownership group. We have you know, guys from major league baseball, the NFL the NHL and they're. Able to weigh in and say, here's why we think we should go regional we don't think we should region. So we've been we've managed to assemble a knowledge base within our sport. Now, that's incredibly important to have this as kind of you know, we're developing strategies for contained together league. And before we were talking about company culture, and RAI is such a huge company of employees across the world across the globe on what's the most surprising things that you would say about the company culture because I feel he has a really tight knit company and team, you know, I think one of them is how much play is integrated into the company had self. You know, it's it's easy to think of. Oh, yeah. Like the game designers. They must play the game and people have to test the game they play the game. But I remember my first couple of weeks. You know, we're trying to start needs for leagues. Things are crazy. We're working around the clock and the vice president of my department shoot me a note and just as you play game. And it's like three in the afternoon. I thought it was a trap. And I was. I'm good. Yeah. And then I look, and I could see on our insurance if you jump into a game, and it kind of blew my mind because I was like here's this guy. Who's leading this team? That's incredibly Embiid super understaffed were hiring for everything workers super-busy. And yet he's saying the time to play the game because it's so important to continue focusing on why we're here we're here for the other players share for the game. And we're here to kind of grow the entire system there. So, you know, I think that was one of those early just kind of like, this is a very different place than financial consulting in New York. It was it was kind of a great wakeup call to the I think the beneficial changes arrived made, and that's probably why you're still so successful instill hiring so many people and growing so big today. You know, it's it's been a pretty wild ride when I joined the company we were probably around four hundred people. And now, we're a little over three thousand across the world, you know, in everything from obviously, east forts and game design to are. Indeed. But you know, we have a ton of people working in creative efforts. We just announced a partnership with Martin COMEX a couple of weeks ago. So we're really interested in expanding the IP beyond just the game offering fans and viewers players away to interact with riot. And you know, the IP that we've built room Tara, the champions of solves in more than just playing the game. So we're really saying to see where a lot of those efforts will pay off. And where do you see a sports the next five or ten years? Oh, man, if you that five or ten years ago, I'd never would've said we where we are. Now, you know, there's a degree of ambition. But also kind of practical skepticism that I want to employ here. Put I'm incredibly optimistic. You know, when we looked at our engagement numbers when we talked to our fans, where we understand who is watching sport, you know, it's an incredibly valuable cohort of the, you know, the population from a sponsorship and investment standpoint. So when you look at the reason that the NFL or the NBA can be successful is because there's so much investment from sponsors and TV in media, and we're just starting to see that turn in the in the favor of Eastport. We just announced a MasterCard. Global sponsor for league of legends. We just did a big deal with alienware, and we're bringing on these sponsors now that might not have come around before. Or they might have invested in a smaller level MasterCard. Said no we want to global for making part of our priceless campaign, and they see the value there. And so for me that's going to be the driver of the success of the next five ten years how much and how fast traditional media and big sponsors and big business. Can you're out the right way. To get an east because because there's a right way. And there's a wrong way and the wrong way is to just throw money across the whole thing. Just like hope that something sticks signing the right leaning finding the right partnership. I think is incredibly important, and that's why we're building out on a lot of resources on our side to partner with these brands more active christening so much for joining us as a pleasure to meet you have. Business rockstars. And that was my amazing gifts. Hopper. Sports North America at guy. Check it out minute Mark as soon as we're back out in.

"I it's like once you play you understand the nuances of the game, and it's aspirational and educational, and so you know, if you'd like to play legal legends, it's hard, but one of the ways to get better league legends as to watch other people play and to learn the nuances and to learn the strategies, particularly given that they changed the rules every ninety or one hundred twenty days, and so because of that these the east sports teams have got a practice hours and hours and hours a day. So it takes a real skill. It's a real sport. And if you like it, you know, watching it is entertaining educational aspirational, and you also have to realize that anybody in front of a PS two X box P C, you know, watching these kids that play in their mind. Just like, maybe we'll watch sports growing up. It's like, hey, if they can do it, I can do it. And so that's the aspirated part of it as well. There's no physical hurdles you can be four foot one or seven foot one. And if you've got the hand eye coordination, and the brain processing speed, and you know, anything's possible, you could do it to one of the investments you mentioned unicorn is a company that facilitates betting on E sports. Can you just tell us a little bit about how that will work and whether whether gambling on east sports is maybe a little bit more susceptible to match-fixing than other sports or not necessarily. Yeah. I don't I let me start there. I don't think it's more susceptible at all. Because it's much more difficult. You know, most sports are multidimensional chess where there's so many pieces involved. That it'd be nearly impossible. There's just you know, there's what two billion different chess moves, and there's probably, you know, exponentially more in legal legends. And you know, why why unicorn just because yen. How does it work? I mean, what kind of access will we have to what kind of bets well realize gambling is legal in one hundred eighteen countries. And so right now for east sports in those countries, you can just go bed on who wins and different prop bets. Just like you could any other sports. Let me ask you about American pro sports leagues. So you're an NBA owner. I don't know too much about how quote the league works. I know a little bit more about the NFL. But in in the NFL, the owners are essentially the league sure is it much different in the NBA. Or is it pretty similar setup? No, not really. Okay. All right. No, not really. Yeah. Not really at all. I I think the biggest difference between the NFL and the NBA is the emphasis put on talent in the NFL. They sell the NFL in the NBA. We sell. The talent the players we promote the players and they promote themselves because it's mutually beneficial. I think, you know, with the exception of just a few stars. This is just my opinion the the NFL peers to use their players look at their place as being more fungible. You know, there's fifty three of them you're going to rotate X number through every year. And you know, honestly, if you know the entire Steelers team was in a mall, and or the entire Dallas Cowboys team was in a mall, maybe two or three the players will get recognized. And so it's different world. Yeah. That's partly because there helmeted. Yeah. But but it's more than that. Right. Yes. Not just because they're helmeted. Okay. So given the leagues operate, you know, there's obviously a lot of differences roster size number games cetera et cetera et cetera. But let let's let's assume that for the sake of argument that all four major sports leagues in America are pretty similar in that they have you know, it's a it's a membership. And once you're in you're in it's pretty hard to lose money as. Professional sports team because the way revenues are divided. No, that's not true at all. No. That is not at all. Oh, hell give give me an example. Like you. I can't throw out names. But yeah. Well, how many NBA teams in a given year are going to lose money more than you think? Really? Yeah. So even with the revenue sharing with all the broadcasts and other monies distributed evenly and with a salary cap that guarantees that you don't have to overspend a certain amount, you're saying that how how do you lose money is it by not everybody has enough for lacking gate revenue?.

"Or seven twenty p medium quality settings. Right. You're probably looking for something quite a bit better than that. However, if you are a general average consumer that is okay with that. Or you're building a secondary system or you want to have a PC, and maybe just you wanna play league legends wanna play over watch those types of things this system will absolutely do it and significantly better than what the platforms will do. And it does. So at a significantly lower. Cost as well. Because if you think about the same thing, I'll say about performances on the CPU side, the Intel parts are are going to be faster. Most of the time. The core I five eighty four hundred is a six core. Sixth read part and the rise in five twenty four hundred g is a four core eighth thread part, and we already know that the Intel cores have hired IPC. They're better performance per core thread than AMD parts. So the eighty five eighty four hundred from Intel is faster than the twenty four hundred g from AMD in CPU tasks multi threaded for the most part single threaded. Definitely. But the what the Reisen AP us offer now is competitiveness in the space that aimed he couldn't offer at all before in an AP the seventh Ginny Pugh, the Bristol ridge bay stuff that was out before it. So that's a good thing. The the interesting thing also has AMD has been able to address a significant part of the market because think of how many. You know, mom and pop computers small Business Machines still just use the Intel integrated graphics because they're not gaming at all even but it so it's just easy to use the integrated graphics on that part, you know to buy discreet solution. Andy wasn't able to compete with that with its new better CPU architecture because they didn't have a part that had integrated graphics on it until now. So now, they can address that part if you are a builder, and you're like, okay, I want to build a.

"So as I mentioned are, maybe I mentioned in the pre show didn't mention it here. It's kind of a light Newsweek. We had a little bit of kerfluffle at the very beginning of the weeks or any rockstar which we're going to talk about, but then you know, it was mostly just more fortnight news. Did you see that ninja was on Ellen this week? Yes, I did. I didn't watch the segment. I just saw on Twitter and I was like, okay. That's cool. I've been on commercial everywhere to, I'm like, good for you ninja get the money while the irons. Hot dude. Yeah, like somebody who was talking to someone the other day, I was like, it's sort of like professional sports in a way like you need to wreck up as much money as you can because you've got a relatively short shelf-life for this type of career. Unless you're Bernie burns first teeth, you like actually build the business and all sorts of things. But for people like him, they you can burn out and be gone. So like get them money, sit on, Tom, nobody knows, you know, like what's going to happen to ninja. He decides to transition out of fortnight, right? Like keep clearly was streaming and making videos before fortnight became thing for night was just what? What launched him into this, like start your position, right? Yeah. And I know that fortnight's going to be a bubble, right? Like it's they are so huge right now, but what's the stain power going to be, you know, even major games like Minecraft or league legends, like they still have to go out and look for users because they're not. You can't maintain this kind of like white hot that they're burning that forever, so but good for her. Him. I'm happy to see a kid who's worked really hard, have all that success. So we're not gonna talk about fortnight though. 'cause I don't know what shenanigans going on and head came every week. They're always changing stuff. I do wanna talk though about rockstar games and red dead redemption, twos apparent crunch that they are working on. So there has been so much follow up and fall out over a quote that happened early this week. So I'm gonna read the kind of overview that was written up polygon in case you guys have missed any of what's been going on. Rockstar games renewed..

"I believe in gymnastics yeah that's. Worldwide Everybody everybody what. I'm, as well One of the other, hesitations I have though is again when you look at. The lifespan. Of certain east sports. All, right we have a bunch we let's say we have four of them that that appear at at the next Olympic Games with how quickly. East sports can come and go how does it look like a longer scale when you have different games, that are appearing every four years if you put it under the umbrella, of e sports that, can change, you don't necessarily say you know you won, the gold medal in league legends and that's. The, only thing that we have no it. Would be like track and field it will be unbrella category were then you will have different games within it and not. Every game and track and field, even as there every single time Okay and I think that the needs to recognize the malleability of that, and how much that's, going to, need to change from year to year they're, gonna have to revisit this issue every single. Time, there's an Olympics but I've got an. Even bigger question here and this is one that I it's been bugging me ever since the the conversation around ease sports. Being inserted into the Olympics started Do. You. Include that in the summer or the winter games which which is it I've got this question we're going to say the summer games okay. Why and we're going to say that it's going to. Be a demonstration, at Paris twenty twenty four because that means, it would become official in two, thousand twenty eight in Los Angeles okay okay that is purely agreed thing that that's just for me I want to be in LA you do it in the Winter Olympics because nobody watches the damn Winter Olympics that's true too I mean would. Like which do. You go, with or could.

"So it is I, it's playing in that space that EA and activision do need to be more worried about, whereas like for a long time, I think, yeah, yeah, Minecraft is this gigantic game, but it's kind of over here doing its own thing. And you can see that. I think in similar cases with games that are not as much cultural phenoms phenomenons that were just hits instead league legends where league legends was time the most popular game in the world. It was absolutely enormous. But like you said, it doesn't. The people who are playing call of duty are not necessarily getting drawn away to league of legends where I think you're right that now this is sort of a -tracting that audience a little bit more like legal legends, scary for a game like starcraft or Doda, but maybe quite as much if you making grand theft auto, I think that's part of it. This is often attention. But yeah, you know, we haven't seen much more starcraft lately, right? Like starcraft is doing its thing. And it's still doing well, but it's not talked about nearly that's the kind of the case for a lot of what you guys have brought up. That's the case for Doda. It's like, it's not you don't hear about it every day, but there's this huge audience that's just out there. Mind that game. Same thing with Minecraft Minecraft is no longer the the. You know, cultural wall shattering fuzz word anymore, but it's a huge thing that Microsoft continues to grow and put content out for and and his played by millions every day. And you know, this is fort nights moment in the sun, and it's not going to go away. It's just going to that son will still burn this guy, it'll they'll be, they'll be a cloud that eventually comes in front of it doesn't mean the sun's not still there. It just means you can't. You're not like it's not obvious anymore. I feel like it's going to end up like Minecraft and like Doda and league where they're just it's a huge thing that continues to get played by millions of people. But you know, it's, it's moment as the peak of cultural zeitgeist will pass. It's it is unclear to me like you touched on this with the super data. I say, super data or data in general, super data data is the name of analyst. I mean, the data shows that yes, it's clearly taking audience away from these other games. But yes, it's also growing the pie hole. So. So is the amount of new gamers or new attention on gaming around shooters that you know this game is brought to the table? Does that offset the audience that it's taken away from, you know, some of the existing competitive games out there, like it's really hard to say, I guess only if those new gamers do are they going to graduate? They are. They are younger. So for and believe is rated t it'd be ESRB rating aside like that. You know, it's more cartoon young, accessible and friendly. And so as those gamers get to be, you know, sixteen seventeen eighteen are they gonna graduate to call of duty? You know, is this a good thing for for video games for shooters. Unclear, yeah, but it's definitely a possibility Ryan..

"Yeah well i mean you know that article reading earlier you know i mean the reality is you getting kids now who are getting these scholarships to real big colleges because it's growing at an and it's not just you know you've got to be good at all games because most of these kids focus on one singular game and there's enough of a crowd in an audience in these games that you could be great with counterstrike or halo or world of warcraft or any of these other it doesn't have to be you have to be great at all of them it's usually one and they hyper focus that folks and they're selling out stadiums like you said the selling out football stadiums and basketball stadiums and that kind of thing for people to watch other people play games these video games so if i'm a really good at overwatch a really good at fortnight's that is a career and if i keep that out you know by the time twenty five i could have millions of dollars in the bank my wife what do you do from there because a lot of these games have that kind of shelflife right whether they're going to be hot for two or three years and then you move on to something else there's some of these guys so good that they're going to be great across all of these things or is it you know they've got a short shelf life themselves i think we have we have wait to see this industry mature enough to see that i'd love to see like the top fortnight player could also be the top overwatch player but every game is different every game has its own style and and the way you play it so i don't think i've really seen that kind of crossover where there's a guys like dude i'm the top of league legends and top of fortnight and top of her stone it's much much harder to do that but i think it can happen i think you will see one guy become a multidisciplinary disciplined east sports athletes have a hard time athlete when you're sitting there and everything but yeah drinking mountain dew and.
