"Washington, it's not lying. It's just not opening your mouth. But I still love telling each other. That didn't bother me that he misled the old mis rebels. The funniest thing is you were telling that story. I believe in his presence at a golf tournament a few years ago. He was like, oh yeah, that's true. All of it. The truth comes out. Paul, how was your Thanksgiving? What are you? Considering things that you usually like to eat. I wonder what you eat on Thanksgiving. What do you have? I'm going to sound like every other guest on the fine bomb. Just the usual. As in like, as in like a shrimp cocktail and what happened at I know you weren't home. No, yeah, we went to the Mackey inside. Got to see my family in Atlanta and then we went to the Rutledge side yesterday and I think the Rutledge Thanksgiving is still going on. So there's more than happening today. Yeah, we were in Coleman, Alabama. Did the people of common Alabama realize that you were there yesterday? They would not care about me, but they might care more about Reese though at this point. Reese was there too, and so is their prince charming Josh. Josh Rutledge was there back home. Welcome to he is kind of like the big deal there. Yeah. The pride of high school, college. Yeah, it's weird, though, because Channing Tatum is apparently from cold and Alabama too. So I think it was slight battle here. Well, I don't want to say the second most famous because famous actor that went to my high school and they came out with an article once about the two most famous people and I came in second. I was a little bit hurt. Yeah, how dare they? You're the most famous person really anywhere. In fact, you know, I've got to tell you, I don't know how familiar you are with TikTok, but I've dabbled a little bit in TikTok. Guys, how are you? You're not talking to your grandfather here. I mean close. The chicken wants you to pay attention, okay? Laura forgot that we did a TikTok thing together. Well, we did. So actually, I have no idea. Get on TikTok. Well, here's what I would tell you. You guys will totally back me up here. Paul is probably the most requested on TikTok. So we actually did one without you last week and everybody said well, where's Paul? Well, sure. So, you know, I think we're gonna do another one today. I'm gonna incorporate the chicken. So tune in to TikTok to find out what it's all about. The reality is I'm worried that Tim Cook is going to get in the way of my TikTok with you. Because he's probably going to show up and you'll be all conflict with Apple. I don't know. Apple owns all the apps. Yeah, we should ask him. That would be a good old line. Hey, how do you know? Yeah, well, I was thinking about the last time we saw him. It was when we were riding in that bus to a dinner and he was in the bus with us. And we were all asking him what he thought the best product was and he said the air buds. I told him I'd been in the Apple store the day before in New York and I saw the price..

"I sandwich was so bad and I really had sandwiches. But let's be honest here. Between the two of us your music plays. I did offer you. You did, but between the two of us who needs the calories more. This guy, not this girl over here. Paul, I'm gonna go to my nursing home party now because obviously I wish you would be ready for that. I wish you had taken a half a sandwich. It would have really made me feel no, but you ended up you actually offered it to me, but then you ate it, so it was no longer available. Hey, would you like? After I've taken a bite out of it, hey, you want this? Sounds good. I'll eat that for you any day Paul finebaum. I'm gonna tweet about how bad the services tonight Rutledge. I don't know why they're taking this off the year, but thank you. Enjoy your time in first class, Paul. You are listening to the Paul finebaum show podcast. Yeah, let's try one more time. We're having a little bit of audio issues. Brian, can you hear me? Carson is up next. Carson, can you hear me? Yes, I can hear you Paul, how are you? Perfect. Yeah, apologize for those of you who are hearing nothing. We were having a bit of a audio glitch out here. And I think we got that worked out. Go right ahead. Hey, I had two questions for you regarding Georgia, Mizuno tomorrow. Yes. With mazouz starting quarterback out, what do you think the margin of victory will be this weekend for Georgia and Missouri? Well, Vegas has the line of 39. To me, that's a big number because I think at some point, Georgia gets the game in hand and then wraps it up. So I don't in watching Georgia this year, they're dominant, but I think they'd like to get JT Daniels a couple of series just to get him acclimated, but I don't see any reason why Kirby smart wants to put 50 or 60 points on the board. There's no real upside to it. Even though, against Georgia, against Missouri, that's not really a serious challenge. Carson, thank you for the call. We are we've had quite a show. We've been here for three hours. We had so many fantastic guests from Tim Tebow to Holly row at Tuscaloosa. We've had a number of great guests out here including a Porter Garner, the CEO of the former students will come back and talk to the vice Chancellor and athletic director.

"That is not true. It is true. Paul. Jeff torchy actually. I was gonna say, if anyone asked, it was just somebody on our crew. It wasn't like specify that it was like a 12th man or something. They don't care about me. Well, you know, obviously, by the way I dressed. I was trying to say very incognito and subtle today. So I'm glad that you were able to spot me in the crowd. I wasn't going I wasn't going to comment on your dress. I know. So I just had to get it out of the way. 'cause I feel like it's a bit of an elephant in the room too. But 20 years ago, Tony kornheiser made some crack about who was it? I don't know, but I just read this sign a storm. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. You made some reference to Hannah having gone to Catholic girls school and can't be doing that and he was suspended. Well, listen, I'm trying to make fun of your hoping to get suspended. Bring it on, Paul. I don't think I could. For those on the radio, what I'm wearing looks like a disco ball, or maybe like if there were a party at the nursing home and everybody was like, you know, I want to be comfy, but also fabulous. Yeah, if you've seen the Netflix documentary on Studio 54, which was the hangout out in the 70s. Okay. For all the well, I mean, I don't like that, but yes, yeah, the 70s definitely a vibe here. Anyway, Paul, you're in the shadow of Kyle field, the drama behind you. It just feels very singing in the background. Considering that, I didn't mean that. Well, I'm not a natural blond, as we all know. Yeah, exactly. I'm glad you could clarify that. Call me. Yeah, Paul, you know, it's funny. We were in our production meeting earlier, and I said, Paul, who are you picking in this game? And he goes, you're going to have to tune into SEC nation to find out. He won't tell me he was picking between him a little bit of a big head after last week. Well, you did have.

"Today. Who says I'm not? You know what I did hear this recently? So if someone asks you how old you are, you automatically say 20 years older than you are, and then people are like, oh my goodness. Look amazing. So in your case, you would say, well, then I'm a 101. I had a guy. That's funny. I had a guy many years who graduated 25 years before me at Tennessee. He would always go, we were in the same class. No we were. That was even more yet. Yeah. So in my case, I'd be like, ask me how old I am. So how old are you? I'm 53. Oh, you are. Wait, is that right math? Yes, I'm 53. I say what you think. I say this was the most respect. Because I don't believe a man should ever comment on a woman's look. But you look really good for your age. Thank you. Right, you guys, I guarantee you. Hey, let us know if you try this at home, let us know how it goes for you. People have no choice but to say, oh, wow, you look amazing for that age, you know? I'm doing the math on my age. Well, it's a 97 years old. Basically a 101. As I said, well, and I just barely missed the Civil War. Yeah, you know, listen, you've seen a lot of history. It just adds to your wisdom and all of these great things. You're such a sage. I heard this the other day in Alabama fence at ages and number because Nick Saban is turning 7. 70. Yeah. Or Sunday? Yeah. Did you see, right, isn't that so random as birthdays on Halloween? I don't know why I think that's weird. But that was easy to remember, though very spooky. Did you see the photo that they posted of him in those glasses and what he looked like? Things having the greatest time ever. Yeah. Hey, when you make a lot of money, you can look good at that. If you made what he made at 70, you'd be happy to look like I was 50. Exactly. What is we have to worry about? Nothing, right? Although, you know, it is. One thing he doesn't have to worry about. He no longer have to worry about losing to an assistant for the first time. It's happened. Thank God. You know what? We haven't had one. We do have an album. I know. He was asking me to say roll tide earlier and I told him I couldn't because I didn't want to get in trouble. Oh, okay. But that's mainly because I didn't want to get in trouble with you.

"Georgia won the game. So that dynamic right there alone kind of makes everybody excited. And even the one lonely Florida fan we have here, who everybody in the world is telling him that dude, you guys have no chance. He's like, y'all always lay eggs. Y'all might as well give it to us tomorrow. So he's more confident than anything. I think that's emblematic of the gator attitude. And you know that, we're in games a little 6, 7 weeks ago. They never, they don't care who the coach is. They still, they're like Alabama in that regard. They really are and Paul, we've talked about that. You know, you look at Florida as a program as a university. You always think Florida is the head or the top of the SEC. They're one of those teams that are always going to be right there. The threshold of winning the championship. But when you actually look at the numbers, they're not. They lost a lot more games than probably everybody else would think that they have. Their records in lats since last year's not that great. They already have three losses this year. You might looking at being four and four or 500 team at this point in the year, nobody would have thought Florida was going to be like that. So I don't know. I'm still wondering and questioning who is this Florida team going to be in the future? And it's got to fall on Dan Mullen, Dan Mullen has to get this ship going in the right direction. I think offensively, they're doing some really unique things. I think offensively, he's a great play caller, but defensively, they have not advanced and defensively they're not making the strides that we thought that they could. They played a really good second half versus Alabama team. But after that, you can't allow illus you to run the ball for 300 yards against you. When LSU hasn't been able to run for 300 yards the whole year long up until that point, or the week before where they have some success. Those other things that I have a lot of question marks through this comes this Florida Gators team. I want to ask you this because you played defense and the easiest thing in the world hearing it at Alabama this year. It's just bypass the head coach who obviously does not know what's going on anywhere on the offense or defense, and just pile on the defensive coordinator. And in this case, it's Todd grantham who's been everywhere. He's been with Dan mall in a long time at state and here. And in talking to gator fans, even in Gainesville in September and today, they're after him. They're after him. But they don't talk as much about Dan Mullen. Tell me, is it Todd grantham's fault? He's the one that's calling the plays. And if you're calling the plays and the guys are blowing coverages or they're not fitting defenses right, is it because the defense that you're calling? So maybe you need to dumb it down a little bit and I don't mean like they're not smart enough to handle the play calls, but we need to simplify things. Not as much thinking. We need guys to play faster. You want guys to feel like when I watch Georgia play defense, they overwhelm teams with their speed and their size. And if you do not have the size, then you need to at least have the speed in Florida has speed. They have speed. So they have to be able to overwhelm you and play faster. Less thinking, play faster. So now it looks like you're playing with 12 or 13 players. When you're only really playing with 11, I don't think they play fast enough. And when they get there at the point of attack, they're not making the plays that they happen. Is that fundamental? It's all fundamentals, Paul, it's all about how you fit the run. How are you coaching these guys to getting the right positions to make sure that they're right and addressing the right things? Are their eyes in the right places? I understand they lost ventrilo very key to that defense in their linebacker and probably their emotional leader. But your Florida, nobody cares about your injuries. Just like if Georgia had some injuries, nobody cares. You still supposed to win the game. If you're Alabama, you still gotta win the game. Nobody cares. So there's no excuses in injuries are easily built in excuse, but nobody wants to hear about outside of your program. Nobody cares. A lot of big games are. I know this is where we are currently residing and it's a huge game. But there's another game I do want to ask you about. And that's a Jordan hair stadium. Because that's the most unique intriguing game. Of this weekend when it comes to the SEC Paul. And that's because either team could win, and I really couldn't tell you at this very moment which team I think there's not like, hey, who you like. I like auburn.

"You know what? I think I got to ask my husband. Can my husband come with us? Laura, can I educate Laura when you're at Oxford? You don't ask your husband about things like this. Oh. You just go, right? Okay, all right, then I'll go. There are no rules. He goes to he goes to Oxford high school, right? The Chargers. Yeah. They've got a big game tonight against starkville. So we'll see who wins. That sounds not like the egg bowlers. They said it's the little egg ball. There's a little egg. Isn't that great? I love that. Oh, wow, guys. You know what's a fun fact about me? I never actually got asked to prom, really by anybody. So I went I only went to one prom and it was with my brother's friend. Laura, hold on. Well, I don't know. Aren't you supposed to go to a couple? Oh, we used to say. Stop the presses. Okay, but back in 1945. That's when you were at your first job. Not when I was going to prom. I want to know this is true, Paul. So you're Laura's Laura McKinnon. Your Laura McKeon and where? Well, we lived in Orlando. Now, I had spent some time doing ballet stuff and China. But Japan no, China, but anyway, I never had an offer really to go to prom. You did not have a date to prom. No, and so my brother's friend a lovely young man, it was like, all right, well, he'll take you, so we went. You think imagine all those guys back in Orlando right now going to take in Laura mckeeman, first of all, your name was all wrong. I'm stop. I know. What should it have been? Well, so the reality is, like, obviously, my husband's amazing, but I totally the name was a big plus in getting married. I was like, I can't change this name fast enough. I love mckim though. This is my heritage. I think it's the main reason why you were never asked a prom. Well, Paul, if you saw me at the time, you might feel different. I had cut my own bangs. I know you probably did that too. But I cut my own bangs. It didn't go very well. My mom was mortified. It was like, oh no, now we gotta, you know, so then I had famous Toby Keith song from like 30 years ago, how do you like me now? How do you like me? Yeah. Well, here's the reality. I will now experience my first prom as actually being asked here in Oxford apparently. I don't know, when prom and when is it? Promise usually in the springtime. I said, I think you said it's in January. All right, so I gotta figure out how to get back here. That'll be fine. Okay, we'll let you get we'll let you get premium proper for prom. We are heading to a breaker, but you want to come with me too. You want a third wheel? I'm not even sure I went to my own prom. I grew up just down the road. You asked somebody? I was so far gone. I wanted to get out of there. Full. I was matching you going away. I asked 14 women to my problem. And they all said that. He ran out of corsages because he had so many prom dates. We were coming right back. You were listening to the call, fine bomb show podcast. What a place to be in the grove bad money. Marty Smith joining us. Look at you, man. They put your name in life. Whoever thought. I will be a 100% honest with you, sir. Every single week, our great friend Steve Keller, who does our steady steady cam. He sends me a photograph of when they put Marty and McGee in the jumbotron every week. And I just will never get used to that. That's just crazy to me. It's a nice little photo album. I know you're used to it. Yeah, it's a great photo. I will say the first time I saw that, it was like, I'm not sure it's quite the same as having your name in Broadway lights. I would like to see that once, but I mean, there's a 100,000 people in these football stadiums. So it's pretty big. Yeah. Well, I'm not sure. Are they up during the games? I do know that they ran the Jimbo Fisher Marty and magee commercial during a game. Not field. Yeah. Yeah, I spoke prematurely to give us a whole rash and a grief and I don't understand. I couldn't resist because will must have gone. Essentially, who's next? None of us expected a and M to win that game. So you guys blew it. So we're really glad that they wanted those. So now there can't be, we're not doing your commercials because of the funny. What was that like when you did a commercial? Man, it was so fun. It was really fun. We spent two days one in just outside of College Station where Jimbo's ranch is and that ranch is unbelievable. 800 plus acres, I think, and he's so proud. He's not leaving. I mean, that's what we were saying. If you go to that ranch and you look off his back porch, there's an old, it was like an original farmhouse on this ranch. Years and years and years ago. And he refurbished it. They had it done. It's stunning inside. And if you walk all the way through it into the back, there's this gorgeous deck porch that overlooks heaven. Is that where he lives? That's just where he gets away. Okay. And this where guys that make 9 a year get away. I wondered about that because I'm a single family dweller. I don't have any anything else other than the one little but we have. He was so proud to show us where he put us in a gator and he wrote us all over the land and showed us at all. The river runs right through his property. And he showed us the best. I'm like, I love hunting fish, and so he was showing us all the best spots where he his food plots and his deer stands and it was just awesome to witness. And so yeah, I don't know why he would leave. Yeah, I mean, people close to him just are absolutes. There's just no way. And I believe that. What do you think is the impact.

"That you block it out with? I think a routine is the best thing. Our players love a routine. They know what we're going to do on Sunday. They know what we're going to do on Monday. They know what we're going to do on Tuesday. That routine helps us. And sometimes we step away from that routine and just talk and just share with each other in a team meeting environment. Hey, what's making us successful? And I think that normalcy of routine takes the distraction away at least while they're in our facility when they walk out and they pick that phone up, like every one of our guys right now is probably walking over to dinner. They got their phone out and they want to read something. They want to see something. But while we're focused on us, let's be focused on earth. And what some of them are seeing our descriptions by the media by others of your team, especially on the defensive side. And I want to ask you, I mean, we're hitting the midpoint of the season. Everyone knows the stats. Everyone knows the historic nature of this defense. And as somebody who has coached a lot of really great defenses, I'm not asking you to compare one to the other because this is a team that's not complete yet. But how would you describe what you have on the defensive side of the ball? No name, no ego, selfless, really the whole team's that way. We got no superstars, I don't feel like really on offense or defense. And people might argue well, the guys on defense are becoming. Really, they don't buy into that. They buy into what the coaches coach landing must champ, human or die, trace Scott. They do a great job of keeping those guys grounded. Our offensive staff does a tremendous job prepare in the offense and they don't get into the ego of who's getting the credit. And when you can do that, you can do something special. And is it coaching and you mentioned some really good coaches there is that important does it take some leadership within to keep it? It's not coaching Paul. I've been plenty of guys. There you go. You can do that. You're too, by the way. But a lot of the scouts have come by. I've talked about, you know, we've got good football players. And that's a big part of it. That doesn't give you the ability to win games, but it keeps you in games. And those players have to buy into a concept. And that's what this group has been unique at is buying into the team concept and not making it about the individual. You mentioned coach. I wanted to ask you about coach much champ, because you guys have been friends a long time. You've been competitors. How has he factored into what you're doing right now? He's just blended in well. I mean, he came in and he's had an opportunity to jump on the field now. He's very smart, very intelligent, great recruiter. He makes it easier on the rest of the staff because he knows what you want. And he's not sensitive to you doing it that way, you know? So if we have an expectation of this is the way it's done, he helps others understand that. He helps relay the message. He's a loyal, loyal assistant coach that I appreciate the way he's embraced his role. Certainly, at this state of your career, maybe in the first year, you would need to lean on people more. But at this point, do you lean on people because you're a very successful coach, everyone knows there's a bull's eye on George's back now, technically you're back. Are there people that you can lean on when you're not certain of something? Absolutely. I'll lean on our coaching staff. I mean, we've got a great coach of staff, the administration here has supported me to be able to keep coaches here and have a great support staff. We got guys that are off the field coaches that I can lean on for ideas and things. Lean on our players. And our players give an information and feedback. But it's a total team effort, and that's what you always want to have. You mentioned the noise coach Martin and maybe because that's what we do. We start talking about the playoff in our business, day one, you can't help but know what's going on. But how do you I don't think you can, but how do you try to keep that keep your program grounded from just letting it become a runaway train, which it is in the media? It's not, I don't think it's in your locker room, but you still have to deal with it. Do you not do, but we communicate. You know, we talk. We make players stand up and say, why have we been successful in a kid says? Because we care about each other. Our practice habits, senior leadership, everybody knows their role. And when they're defining it that way, they're telling you that, and then I say, okay, how do we keep it that way? Because failure can cause you not to believe, and success can also cause you to forget what you got you there. So we've sold that to the guys, the why and not leaving that for not forgetting who you are. We're sitting here and here with you and I appreciate because Friday's a busy day and I don't think we've ever missed seeing you and it means a great deal to us to be able to have these conversations. I'm glad you are here. But I've watched you, I don't know. I mean, I feel like I've known you a long time, but you mature into this job. And I just wonder as you reflect, I know you're not sitting around reflecting tonight. I know that. But can you appreciate where this is? Because we all thought you would be successful, but tonight you're sitting as the number one team in the country. Yeah, the number doesn't mean anything. What matters to me is those men in the room and the men that play before these and the ones I played with and the people in the state, they care so much for the university. It's a special place. And not everybody understands that. And it just makes it more special when people buy into the same goal. And it's not about our ranking. It's about the guys who played here in the past, all the coaches have worked here before me and buying into that. That's what I care about. How much of a vacuum or maybe it's a bubble, I should say are you and your staff in as we're hitting the midpoint of the season. Everyone, you got to buy a week next week. Can you use that to your advantage? Well, for recovery standpoint, absolutely. I think everybody in the SEC will tell you, you need the buy week. You can't come in a better time for anybody. But we got this huge game before it. That's really important. It's going to be a physical gain. There are physical team and it's always that way when we play March team. It's just really physical when you play Kentucky. So our guys expect it. But the baw week we're injured we're beat up. They're injured, they're beat up. All that's coming forgotten when that whistle blows and teams will go out there and compete. A couple of seconds left when you leave here, what happens next for the rest of your night before you get ready? I'm gonna go spend time with the team and eat dinner and then I'm gonna go watch a game. High school game and I'm not allowed to say where that is so I can't talk about that. Then I'm going to get back to our team tonight and spend time with them. The hotel and go over some tips and reminders. So you like to get the games as much as you can. I love to get the games. High school football in this state and around this area is incredible. And it has supplied us with a lot of good players. So I want to support the high schools. You've always been consistent on that coming from a coaching background coach Mart. Thank you so much for coming. It's a great pleasure to thank you, Paul. We will be back. "Telling you, it's right here. If I had a mic, I would drop it. Yeah, that's what we're all taught. I mean, listen, everyone loves the games, but you and I know that the people that sit in chairs like we sit in, that's what we're watching. Sure. And watching these two you're right and push comes to shove and we've seen this act before. That's what you're getting. What does it mean that Jimbo knocked him off? I know that's not a direct core to Kirby. But it is, it shows there's blood dropping. I mean in the past in the past people might have taken some encouragement from that. But there's been blood in the water since Florida had them on the ropes. Again. Because for a fact should be another studio because they were sitting near him, but jumbo, when these two teams met in 2017, he was pulling for Nick Saban. Not that he cared about one another national chamber. He didn't want Kirby to be the first guy. Well, that's good for Jim bow. Let's give him a participation award because he hasn't won anything yet, and he still makes $9 million a year and all he's got is a participation award for beating an Alabama team. Florida should have beaten Nick Saban. I could have called a better play than a draw at the goal line, Dan Mullen, and I mean, good grief. I mean, so he's the first to win. That's good. The Texas a and M fans can feel great about it. That's wonderful. Are they pretty good? They're gonna play the SEC championship? No, but hey, we beat Nick Saban. Okay, that's good. Go get your drink, standing in the corner. Because the main attraction is going to be Georgian, Alabama, in the SEC championship game, Kirby's had these guys on the ropes before. This year, he's got the front 7 and the dogs to get it done. It comes down to players and give Alabama credit. They've had great players making great plays in big moments. These guys are the ones doing that now. And this group right here, Paul, they're not intimidated. They're not psyched out. They've been in the top 5 four straight years again, another day at the office in Athens. We expect Georgia to win these football games. And so the odd makers, by the way, the line is what 23 points over the number 11 team in the country? There is no one like my Griffith and we certainly love having him on Mike. Thank you. We kid around, but nobody can do what you have just got through doing. We appreciate it very, very much. Outstanding. For those of you on radio, we will be right back. You are listening to the Paul finebaum show podcast. Kirby smart joining us a few minutes. Laura Rutledge before we get to, I want to get your reaction because you covered so much of Don's daily. I mean, that was a remarkable moment there in Colombia. Yeah, it was. Here's the thing about Don staley. I think when we look back on just coaches throughout college athletics, she's going to be remembered as one of the greatest when her career is over and I'm saying that as somebody that she's going to have an extensive career beyond now, but just even the history that's already happened for her, the remarkable moments that she continues to be a part of. I am so impressed. And she's one of my favorite coaches to cover to watch. I think it's just amazing to see what she has accomplished and what continues to happen for that program. We'll have her in her dog champ who visited me a couple of weeks ago on the champ. I heard the champ wants to be your pen pal, but you I don't know if you've responded yet. You have too many other pen pals. I have a lot of dogs, dog Friends. Yeah. You know what? It's funny. Sometimes people ask me, is Paul is Paul fine but I'm like a nice person. Like, no, he's absolutely not. Unless you're a dog. In that case, he will love you. He will kiss you. Your moments with dogs have been borderline inappropriate like borderline PG-13 moments. Yeah, there was one, I do regret, and it happened right here. It was a Tennessee Georgia game and I've apologized to smoky. I was a very nice. As you have seen firsthand, smokey and I have an awkward relationship. Yeah, well, Paul, it's really cool. I got a price I said, smokey, get out of the way. You're like, I'll give this is my favorite dog. I know, I love smokey, so beautiful. It's beautiful, too. The thing is, it's rare for you to have an awkward relationship. So I don't know how that happened. But Bluetooth are a little bit different. Let me put it that way. So the dog pound association of America doesn't come after me. Oh boy. Yeah, you can't yourself in trouble already today. We're like, what, two minutes into this, we're already in trouble? Every week. We're like, they're like, oh no, what are they gonna do this? Well, I had a ESPN actually here's a retired executive. So I'm not really a little bit concerned what he thinks. But he was texting me during our segment last week saying get back to football. And I'm like, that's not what we do. Also, we talk so much football. I mean, sometimes everyone just needs a little break. I talk football all day long with you. People just don't we just can't share those moments in those texts. Because as we wouldn't be good for either one of us. So we're here on the campus of the university of Georgia. The number one team in the country. I mean, it's hard to wrap your arms around that. It's not if you watch Georgia play. And this is what I think is really impressive. I mean, look, here's the reality. Something needed to happen elsewhere. You needed Alabama to get knocked off. But Georgia has the most impressive unit in college football, which is their defense. And so, therefore, a complete team on the other side too. Sets and Bennett does not get enough credit. All this conversation he was a fourth. I thought he was the third. Oh, well, yeah. I mean, there have been three others before him. Maybe some others before that. You never know. I want to meet those other steps in that now let's find him. What a name. I love it. But it is remarkable what he's done. And what they've.

"Bring us together when we're still because if we're focused on the next move we don't have to worry about what's behind us goodyear more driven back we're live in fayetteville and joe chest tour has arrived so the everything i was just thinking yesterday. We seems like yesterday. We were sitting here together with jerry jones. We've had some great times here through the hall country we had jerry. Jones wants sitting between us. And marcus if i recall the story. Marcus mentioned something about jerry. Shoes how expensive the shoes were. And and jerry turn to him and said why gave you enough paychecks by some nice shoes too while he was looking at him. Jerry took off shades very famous day and i grabbed them them on. Now jerry worth oh please. Well i mean the cowboys are one of the most expensive franchisees in the world billions tens of billions of dollars and he looked at me like i had just wiped causing sacks account. Cross the line. W like if i was in london and i grabbed the queen's i i mean that's pretty much the equivalent it america. That's the equivalent taking jerry jones. Forty thousand dollars sunglasses would commit reaching it. Hey hey queenie you got some gum there and you'll be the hope we didn't notice he did. Jerry is going to be here tomorrow. So stephen jones so i mean this is a huge one. Listen you say what you want about a lot of different games that you can put on the schedule right. and rivalries that have been dormant. There is something about texas arkansas. That i'm not sure the rest of the nation gets and then you come here and the hogs fan the razorbacks fans racially. I believe that there is a certain generation of razorback fans that hates texas more than themselves. Well it's interesting Coach by earlier and he made he he. He alluded a statement. He made earlier this summer. That these guys texas. That's that's the biggest rival. Some fans didn't know it is. It is see what i love about the what i love about the game that we're broadcasting here. Saturday night is that it's got a lot of the past. It's got a lot of the present but it's got a very very attractive future because the past is nineteen sixty nine and winning the national championship. Richard nixon's nineteen eighty-one lou. Holtz upsetting number one texas. It's two thousand four and the presence is the anticipation of all of this right. The present is the ascension of two programs. Getting back to where they deserve to be in the future is that we're going to have tremendous sec. Rivalry the rebirth of a rivalry. And you're going to have it in the sec. So joe yes. Paul still thinking about stealing something from mcqueen which retains his sunglasses the man you also were in dunking throwing. The ball was tim. Yeah yeah he's he's part of the east part of the sec excellent I know you've been gone. You've been hanging around billionaires but we were still here. Nothing's changed for those who don't know what we're talking about. And that would include. Probably most of the audience. Joe tested tori. Who's sitting right. Here was the original host of trivia question because laura rutledge has taken over the world. Like the biggest star in all media. She's you know she. She's her own solar system personality..

"Clinton gates we at the undefeated telling stories that remind people who we are as a culture is living breathing entity in all parts of american society. It's not just history books and social media y'all we contain multitudes and everyone deserves to be heard so listen follow and let's have a conversation. Listen or follow black history always wherever you get your podcast andrea. I mean this is a game. Am fans expect to win. And and what's interesting about. An is their their schedule is very back. Loaded in fans or just obsessing over that alabama game. But you have to play the game. You understand that as an athlete. How do you. How do you mentally get ready for games when you know. You're a huge favourite. You know there's probably not much chance of losing. And in spite of what your coaches tell you. What's the mindset When when you when you have a game like this to start the season out of the players that i talked to yesterday. I talked to kenyan green on the offensive line. I talked to leon. O.'neil senior who's in the in the back field on the defense and both of them like they're approached. They feel like they were snubbed. Last season and so for me as an athlete. I think what i would think. Is you take every game extremely seriously because for them. It's not about beating kent state. It's about how they beat can't stayed. It's about the plays that they make against kent state. Ken state's got a strong quarterback dustin chrome he is not a nobody he threw for over a thousand yards in four games last season so i think that they're taking the approach. How do they win. Games what do they make. Can they make a statement because they've got a chip on their shoulder so i don't think it's going to be hard for these guys. Get fired up for any of the games on their schedule. Even in the beginning of the season. Under before you go. I want to elaborate on that. Because athletes with a chip on their shoulder or not that is not on that is not uncommon And it usually shows the mark of of a really great athlete and a really great team knows what didn't happen right to previous year. How how does that play into the psyche of of trying to have a banner year which am fans are counting on. I think it's just energy. It plays into it because the energy that they bring it. And there's the passion that they play with even tighten jalen watermark today. We talked to him and he said they bring it. Every day in practice they treat practice like a national championship game so that chip on their shoulder. It's like fuel to the fire so texas a. and m. fans. They can definitely get excited. Because these guys are taking every little thing seriously. They felt like they had a great season last year and didn't make the college playoffs and that really means a lot to them. It hits them hard. And they're not gonna forget about it. Thanks so much andrea. Carter joining us from kyle field. That game is to morrow night. Am and can stay. We are racing through so many great this afternoon. We're not done yet. Laura rutledge will join us next listening to the paul. Finebaum show podcast. Laura rutledge rejoining program. And laura sean mcdonald chairman of guy. I know you're a couple of hours. You guys are friends with him and he was walking away. He's i got a bone to pick with you on my going. Sean sean mcdonough doesn't have bones figured anyone right usually. Yeah i mean. I really did not like what you had to say about. Reese rutledge paul that things making some waves fired reese as a as a picture on the show because she picked clemson and listen. Like i'm with you. But what i will say is what if reese is right. I think we need a wager that was. That was the quintessential laura being. I say the word on the air. But it wasn't that i had. I didn't care if it was your daughter or anybody's anybody's baby. Meghan markle's dog. I really didn't. It didn't matter to me. I just wanted to fire someone that had been so long like you really have been so incredibly gracious to everyone firing anybody. I felt like i was glad about it because it felt like we got back to vintage. Finebaum is start firing people. I don't care that you fired a twenty two month old but whatever. You're such a savage though. I know we set a record. The thing is like hey to break you. But she's picking the miami alabama game tomorrow so she actually is not fired yet bugger. We'll talk about it for next week. Reese if you're watching. She's watching your. I don't know how to describe myself in department. Usually your uncle paul. But i think i'm too old to know your god. Okay godfather. i actually think that sounds like a good segment for your show godfather feinban so i i feel like we've all asked the same questions over and over again. That always happens. The first we talk season. We did this show last night. I'm sure tomorrow morning. Sec nation will be completely different right. Yeah we got none of these same topics. I it is funny. Everyone sick and talking about the same stuff over and over again. We're in the same boat for hours a day. But but that's the beauty of the eve that we're on right now. Obviously we already had college football even beginning Even last week. Sec football started last night but it feels like tomorrow is the real beginning of it. I think we're gonna know a lot with what we see. And i with all due respect. I mean we're inside right now We won't be inside again until the sec. Championship game and there. There's something about getting out again. And i know you you dealt with covert last year on the show and and you were. You were doing what from. I was doing a little studio in bristol connecticut. It didn't quite feel like the sec. I know that's a shocker. Everybody paul. I'm so excited to your point. Just even seeing the few fans that are milling about here at the college football hall of fame. It brings the joy back that we love so much. And that's why we do this. That's where we are here for. I think to go back on campuses again to feel that vibe to be amongst people to be able to talk to these fans about their teams. I can't wait. I just thought as you were talking and you kind of have a montage. Your mind and i was thinking about all the experiences on college campuses and the audience could just give me a second here. I thought of what i think is the most the memory that is etched in my mind. The most it was maybe the first year you are on the show of the second. I can't remember and we had a quick getaway. And i kept telling you we gotta go. And i'm looking at my phone..

"Included. But that's not exactly what we're watching and certainly not what we just heard from. Joe yeah you know. I heard a few different ways to look at sincere. Certainly with joe's talking about is incredibly exciting right. That's that's something that everybody hopes will have to. You'll see that in weather. You realize you hope it right now or not you will end up to to joe's point you'll look back and say you know this was so important in what we wanted this for common and what what is best for the athletes which ultimately many of them will be professionals. It just matters what time that happens. You know i think to win you talk about from a fan perspective. What this is actually going to be like. And that's what a lot of fans wanna know like. Well what does this mean for me. You know. I've heard for many fans who've said we don't want them. We don't need texas in oklahoma. Well okay fine. But if you're that worried about and then just go out and beat them right. That's what this all comes down to. Just find a way to be better than texas and oklahoma ultimately it makes the conference better makes traditions better as we've said multiple times your it makes college football veteran. It does change the way that this all looks. I think for a fan. If you're looking for what to really be excited about. Go on the road. Go in and see texas game down the road. See them playing your team. You know go experience. Their traditions their towns go to oklahoma goto to norman. There's an incredible football tradition. There go and see their facilities. See what their fan base is like. Welcome their fans with open arms when they end up coming to campus. You know these texas fans. He's oklahoma fans in fact. I was actually speaking lincoln riley the head coach of oklahoma last night. He was saying to me how excited they are. They are so excited for this. And and listen you know. Maybe you say that's offensive to the big twelve wealth at this point. That's in the past right now. What we're looking toward the future. And i think there's a lot on all sides to religious. Be happy about to be anticipating in a way that we never thought we could. Joe let me give you the last word here and we only have a couple of seconds left translation however long you wanna go But from a historical standpoint. You've already alluded to this moment in time but but look look a little bit broader in the course of college football history. Where where do you think this moment will will be regarded number one fork in the road that sport has ever known. There are many forks in the road. The sport has had obviously what happened in the court system in the early eighties of the colleges getting their tv rights back in their hands was significant. It paved the way for what we saw for the next thirty five years. This is far different than that. And i know on the surface level looks like one thing today. I see. this is very different than that because college. Football has long been the second biggest sport in america however writes things certain marketing agreements It's still acts like a regional sport in certain pockets in certain extremists. So what this is is not just a market correction. It's really the start of filling. The gap of realized value of where the sport truly should be what it's worth. And what are the realities. Aw of it. It's been burdens and anchored with an archaic system with some regional ties with the divisions and conferences with certain media rights. And this is the first of seeing somebody and thank god for greg thank. You wouldn't even the end the position. And i'm not saying the sec. The entire sports wouldn't be in the position. The sport is void of leadership that almost collapse it one year ago right now and thank god. Somebody stepped up. The leader and said were marching forward. And now it's not just. We're marching forward. But i'm being strategic with business and saying here's where the sport must go to realize its fullest potential. And that's what's happening. We are filling that gap to realize value in the course of the next five to ten years. This will be not a super conference. It'll be college football league and in student athlete college football as renewing joe territory and laura. Thank you both so much. I could do this all day and forever. But they're telling me we have to wrap it up. I'm not going anywhere. We are talking. We will be here all day. So i'm good with new other espresso please bring. I'm in my car from the birthplace greg. Sankey and bikes live ri- right. Now upstate new york beautiful adirondack with you paul. thank you both. We are coming right back. "Espn app download now for back. Sec media days live from hoover alabama. Love saying that. This is how it all began about an hour ago. Brent ironman from the houston chronicle raking the story the texas oklahoma. Reach out to the sec. Just drove by lincoln. Riley and dave keita's. Hey hey can we get on to to let us on the buzz i. It's interesting lara. Because this is now the story of the week and in fairness to everyone who puts us on. This is not really what you want in the middle of already. The busiest week but it the early first our read. The story is almost like they're they're desperate that we really want them. And i'm not sh- forget. I'm not sure that's clearly not this is i mean these things. Just don't happen this. No that's interesting so you think the first hour read is there's desperation on their end. Because raspy organ jimbo helped shape that everything starts the first couple of in the twitter verse. Ross york-based we got out of there. Yeah jimbo. Like who wouldn't want to be. And i think until this thing settles down a little bit and it made by the end of the day because i think there's going to be some pretty hard reporting overnight that indicates there is a lot of veracity right now but there's some flippancy to right now right. Let let. Let's let's say that this is true right. Let's let's believe in the reporting that's being done by a credible reporter and we live in some world where it is being considered by the sec. Potentially because if you have powerhouse programs a program in oklahoma that has been in the college football playoff and then a texas that yes. They've been down but it's the name recognition like texas and there. I'm just playing devil's advocate here. There knocking on your door saying hey we want to bring. All of our revenue are fans to bring all of that to the sec. You're probably going to listen right even if it but then if you're texas amy like we don't want that other scotland. Tell us at this conference. And here's why some people say well. It used to be the texas who wouldn't want to get in the sec. They were literally but are too good for their that. Things have changed absolutely and now you would say well. Why does he. Sec think about this. I if the sec for whatever it's worth wouldn't want them before you say that if you say we don't want you what happens. They're going somewhere else. Good point because either way if assuming this is factual they're getting out of the big twelve. You can say farewell to that because the big twelve without those schools. The big ten thirty. What are the pros from the standpoint as a conference not just individual team point. What are the pros for texas. And oklahoma. i missed answering questions on saturday morning. I think you're quite good at that. The pros are the most important pro is this. They are brand heavy. Every game with texas every game with oklahoma is a must see television event and in the world that we live in laura. I know you don't follow this very closely. Working at the worldwide leader in bristol. Connecticut is a gold mine for a company like the one that employs the two of us. There is an sec. Deal coming to run very excited about the partnership with disney. No doubt and that's a big part of this and it just creates this supernova conference. It's already the supreme conference. But i mean i'm still somewhat breathless and trying to describe the impact of of of the university of texas and oklahoma. I it's it's it's massive and we're we're talking about football but it goes across the board right but you know just think about the games i- casual alabama texas game in october or an oklahoma georgia game or or any of these games. It is it kind of makes you salivate from just fan perspective to think about but you also wonder i mean there's so many ripple effects here it's like are you expanding the schedule to where now these players are playing an even more games which has already been an issue in the conversations around the proposals for the college football playoff at least from the standpoint of some of these teams like dabo sweeney and clemson who say we don't want that we don't wanna play in more games jimbo fisher says he's all for of course they're the team that's on the cost. The playoff missing out this past year. But if you're greg sankey here do you say yeah come on over or do you say no. I've got to maintain the sanctity of what we are Exactly laura adds more value and by the way would it also means that everyone else will be scrambling i was you. Were in junior high ten years ago when the last explosion happened. It was one of the most exciting stories with every team. Whether you're west virginia whether you're across the country you're saying where where are we going and that doesn't happen very often. The the new packbell of commissioner just sent out a tweet. Obviously the guy has a sense of humor. And i love those he says just when i thought my first job could not get any more interesting. George here you go. It's worth remembering the pac twelve started this believe in two thousand and ten when they almost grabbed texas and oklahoma state and that really brought on what we now have in the sec with am in missouri because it it set off a chain of events which which is the only person i feel. Sorry for is a person who has to come up with a new schedule for the. Sec is still recovering from from the lab from adding and but but anyway it is your car keys and you probably think this is great news. If you're a couple of other coaches you're going okay. Now i gotta play alabama florida georgia texas and oklahoma. You think this is happening the way you're talking about it and you think is happening. We'll ask the head coach of this of the involved the most in a minute. Thanks so much. Thank you.

"I'm sure online ordering a dream. Second drugs anybody that to remember this but it's not called that either butter. I remember when the ice. We'll get back to the oklahoma texas story in a minute. But i just remember being a kid running when the when the ice cream. Okay like yeah come on. This is going to go into my journalistic hall of fame Award when i've been talking about the biggest story put potentially in modern ice cream trucks. But the point laura that i don't even remember what the question well you were saying. That bryce young and the supposed- nearing one million dollars. Yeah you've you've sat here watching nick sabin. You've interviewed him on thousand times. I've have never heard nick. Sabin nut give a coherent answer and he did not get one. Today he gave a. I'm i'm not saying anymore. So i've i've got my standard. I may be wrong next year. So i'm just gonna keep answering it that way. Yeah that's what he that's what he ended up reverting to an in the funny thing is about all this is i respect that in a way but it's also like what's going to be wrong. We don't know what wrong is going to be. He's worried about people having receipts a year from now in saying well you said this about his money and that money and and either way. I don't know if this amount is true. I don't know it seems a little high to me totally honest. This might be too close or any of the numbers that are reported by the media about salaries ever extra usually overblown from what i can tell. Or or under-blown depending on the particular scenario so exactly there cannot be how true that is or isn't true. The reality is it does help recruiting you know and that's a big piece in all of this. I'm not saying that nick. Saban is is putting this out there to help recruiting. Because i don't believe that he is but it's just gonna be a piece of what the conversation will be leading up to the season during the season and you do wonder about these locker rooms. I'm not one to sit here and try to invent locker room drama and try to say that that's going to be a thing but you've got to think that there are some of these players that look over to their right and left and say wait a second. He's making that. And and i'm over here grinding. And i don't have anything you know because that happened in any other industry. Oh man. I can't relate but it just seems to me that first of all saving alluded to some people today that he was talking to this convention yesterday of high school coaches in san antonio and he didn't think the media was here. I think he knew exactly what he was doing. I think he measured the reaction on the way back. I said let's just leave it right there on a good story. That's an interesting theory because that story. I mean the second that it happened of course lane kiffin asked about it and i actually ran into lane kiffin. After he was on the podium he goes. I had no idea that the number could even been that high. It wasn't even in an you. Could you could see genuine shock. Coach kiffin 's face when when it was asked of him so yeah that one was plopped right in there where the other anything he would have said. First of all. Nick sabin are about the most recruiting. And he's already sent a memo in the state of texas. Yeah if you're a quarterback this you don't go to orange hear jimbo say that the state of texas has so many resources from the standpoint of an i l. and things that players can do for themselves and then he also said that people have been doing those he goes people have been doing name imaging likeness for all this time but now it's just legal. Did you hear that you were getting miked up. So the worst the worst place to cover this here. I know you had no idea what's going on. I'd rather watch it from home one of these times. Maybe next year i will. I'll probably be. I'd probably be forced to watch. You'll be obvious fired from any of this city mississippi. I can't wait please. Welcome me with open arms. We will take a break I feel like i'm stealing for another segment but We'll we'll talk a few more minutes about some things because we haven't talked a long time. It's not that we're sharing this with the audience. I just want to catch up. Yeah the this'll be in the commercial break. If we come back you know. We're still talking and be fine..

But man, that is a ton of money to give that Prescott What should the expectation Level B for cowboy fans this year? This year. It Luis, You're stuck in second round of the playoffs. Sniffing your NFC championship game, You know, like here's Here's. This is what my comment is with this, and it's the old saying too much is given much is expected. This is why I was very cautious of giving Dak Prescott a ton of money or second most quarterback money. It's going to impact your football team and we can't snow sit here and say, Well, he's really good. But the expectation status, saying the expectations have to be elevated. Not only individually Hey, what are left tackles out. We still have to win the game on the road against the New York Jets because they stink or when we don't have a Mark Cooper. We still got to play good at the position because you're supposed to be And a difference maker. When it comes to the finances. It's a bad division. I still have to wait to see what happens in Washington at the quarterback spot. If they got a quarterback that I thought was a good player arrived. Patrick I think that I would favor them to win the division because I think Dallas still has issues defensively Offensive

"So ballet did is as crazy as it is ballets, very helpful. When you are talking about. Clemson, Alabama secondary's very new so. Yeah. Tell to- finebaum to start taking some ballet now. Let's see where. Yeah, I've tried to work with him on that. Because his body movements are not the smoothest enough reason news there, but he ballet training. Yeah. Listen, we could. Including this New Yorker slash Canadian at the moment. Our Laura Rutledge, Laura, you know, I've I almost feel like I need to lake take a break because I have to now read your resume and list of all the things you're doing. So I have to prepare for this. It's so long Laura Rutledge is a reporter and host for ESPN in a number of roles, including college foot. She's airport on college football, basketball, gymnastics, baseball softball. I'm sure I've missed some sports. She's a host of the SEC networks SEC nation. She's now a co host on get up. We learn not getting paid any extra cash for that. What if what a trooper she's a regular on the Paul finebaum show? She's hosted sportscenter. And and I certainly appreciate her time, Laura. The people who work with you always have great things to say about you. And that to me is usually the standard that I use in terms of. You know, just sort of how to think about a person who's in the business so credit to you. And thank you very much for the time. And I wish nothing but success ending forward. Thanks for joining us today on the sports media podcast. Thank you for having me. It was a pleasure are my thanks to Laura Rutledge. And now we had for our conversation with Kevin Clark. Kevin Clark is an NFL writer and podcast for the ringer. He previously covered the NFL for the Wall Street Journal. He also hosts he can correct me if I'm wrong on this. But I'm going to call it a video short slow news day and Kevin Kevin Clark point joy. How would you describe that? Kevin if the video something yet, if something it's on video, and that's that's all I can describe it as a it's a four minute sort of run through the NFL news, and it's slightly talk show. We have a guest twenty things I do during the week. But it it's kind of defies genre. Yeah, it's great. Which is why it's kind of interesting that's actually really like against just sort of Google slow news day. Kevin Clark the ringer. If you want to check it out. It's a. There's a best live short is where I'm going to put it in the Oscar category. But you can you can make your termination. So the reason why I wanted to have you on this podcast is I don't think this is an overstatement about to kiss your bud a little bit. But it is from an honest place. You to me have you've engineered very unique writing style or sort of content generation style when it comes to NFL stories, and I would sort of say, they're a mix of quirky stories analytically bay stories and access stories and a lot of people I read they might be one of those three, but you're three of those three. I remember reading a piece that you did on like game of thrones spoilers and how like players like a big thing like in training camp. Like players did not want other players to give it up. I I really am impressed by just sort of the the stories and and and unique angles that you come up with. For the NFL. So that's my long way of of asking you a very simple question. If that ridiculously long winded answer, how do you do a question, I should say, how do you describe what you do? So first of all, I appreciate you saying that I think there's a lot of people who are really burst out the NFL. VM hugely impressed with you know, people like Jenny Brenta's who do this stuff every single week? And and it's incredible obviously, Peter King. There's a lot of great enough L writers out there and my colleagues of the ringer hall. Incredible. I think that I when I view a story I kind of look at it as and this is gonna sound weird. But you know, I kinda game planet almost like what coach would I just figure out what would be best. So some going into Minnesota. And I know I can get Kirk cousins and Rick Spielman, and and Mike Zimmer then I can plan for more of an access type store..

"The ringer. Previously. Worked for the Wall Street Journal, Kevin Clark just does pieces that they're quirky and different and NFL writing that in my opinion, you just not seeing elsewhere. So we got into a discussion on how Kevin finds his. His his pieces, and or his subjects and also the difference of working for the ringer versus the Wall Street Journal two very different publications to places in different parts of the world as well, Los Angeles, California and New York City. So Laura Rutledge first and then Kevin Clark coming up on the sports me podcasts. Laura Rutledge is a reporter and host for ESPN in a number of roles, including working as a reporter on college. Football, basketball, gymnastics, baseball and softball you. Also saw her this year do Monday night. Football jets lions? We'll get into that. She is the host of the SEC networks SEC nation. She's also a co host of get up. She's a regular on the Paul finebaum show. I believe she's hosted sportscenter. We're getting into Stephen a Smith territory in terms of someone who's getting a lot of different jobs at ESPN and Lor Laura ledge joins us on the sports media podcasts. Laura. Thanks for coming on today. Thank you for having me. I really appreciate it. Big fan of the podcast many years, though, cool for me. Way to read off the prompter law. That was nice of you to. Right now for your podcasts. So you are in the rare position where I wanna start your in the rare position ESPN that you have multiple options in terms of where you wanna go with this with this company with us network. You recently signed a contract extension. That's always good and you have assignments as a reporter on major college football broadcasts. You have pretty nice hosting job on the SEC network on you know, I would argue their signature show or one of their signature shows. You're now part of your now a regular part of the get up rotation which obviously is very important investment free SPN, and you know, you also do other stuff like finebaum show excetera. So do you have an idea of where you hope to be in a couple years with ESPN? Or are you someone who you enjoy this? You enjoy the sort of many different kinds of things you're doing it ESPN. Yeah. It's so funny because even when you listing off the different roles as I as I say them, it's hard for me to think about eliminating any of it. I. Love all of it. And that's not with service. I I wouldn't do it. If I didn't love all of it. I think some oh must be signed all these things. And and that's partly. But a lot of it's been that. I was able and said, you know, hey, whatever comes around. Let me make sure that I can do it and to ESPN credit. They've given me opportunities to trial these different things. So when I look at my role, you know, what I would like to see over the next couple of years. It's really just a some sort of combination of all those things and and getting opportunity on the biggest events, which for me as somebody who, you know, started at this company in twenty fourteen started with the SEC network on a very minimal contract. I was basically signed up to do twelve football games. And you know, when I look back at that say, I can't even believe that I'm getting a chance to do any of this stuff..

He added by the way, an emoji of a smiley face wearing sunglasses. Just in case, you didn't get the point. Rutley Jews married to professional baseball player. Josh Rutledge took it all in stride.
