"Inkling that the protests was going to occur and said to my colleagues. Cold? Sitting next to me and rice control. What back. Don't worry about Kobe. But Michael, actually on a serious note. Did you come to Australia expecting that protests? Given the heads up on something like that. No, there was sort of. Pre Melbourne there was obviously discussions happening that Biomedica, but you know as well as anyone tom that. Paddock whispers. Very loud and clear on the whole on areas so into it actually happens. You don't know, but not we were. Advised style on Friday not long before that it went through that it was going to be purchased on Friday regarding the DAX so and Stuart says ever on Seoul had a very long night and. Even, introducing zoom elements into shoot hearing because of restrictions on offense, high false, and by my decision, so dash is okay for this season, but it's obviously not there for twenty one just on a personal level Mike. What is your attitude towards technical innovation? I mean. Do you welcome it or do you think we need to rein in as much as possible and that's the way to to get closer racing. It's a double edged sword to be quite honest. I think technical innovation is amazing. We've seen so many different things over the course of time. From a six hundred zero to a Fan Brigham the duck down the double diffuser, which we still have a giggle with Ross about going occasionally so. That's part of what a funds today to debts. They've always to pick it apart as best as they can doesn't necessarily promote close racing. Probably not, but I still think there's enough freedom you know particularly in the why the twenty two regulations have been done. Yes, there are lot more restricted, but there's a level of freedom than for teams to show the Ingenuity and innovation. It's a balance to be quite honest home. It's not an easy one way or the other, but it's a fine balance, but I'm quite hopeful and. Confident that the balance deify in working with if one end with the support of the teams found the right balance some for the new regulations and to keep on top of the teams at during. HOW USEFUL! It for someone like Charlie Whiting your predecessor to be the poacher turned gamekeeper to sort of understand the tricks, and yes, you have a history erasing that. We're going to get onto, but in Formula One. You haven't jumped that fence and. Defeo exposed because of that in any way. No, I think. And going back, looking to where. Charley came from from his Bryant dies, and from that side of being physically mechanic, and so forth and working within the team, but then going from there and into the F. I take delegate role initially than moving into the rice director. All he had that broad saints of the Paddock. Knowing if everyone. You know the current crop of sporting directors. Let's call it or technical directors. old-style Ralph is very junior people when Charlie. I came into the role said I sort of grew with him. But, one of the pots and our remember speaking in detail about this in two thousand eighteen when we'll working together. Is that the level of. Complexity of the Modern Day. Formula One car needed specialists in different areas so. He had already started having a specialist electronics department. Within Mia, FI, more specific technical experts in different areas, because just like tame structured to have so many different. Experts in different areas the if I had to react in a similar way, so you imposs- my role is probably a little bit different now in that. Nicholas Thomas. My colleague is hit of old technical items. Look, after the sort of sporting and operational areas together with. My race director and safety, delicate role, and then Federico Moti who don't many people would have heard of is ahead of financial regulations at the Ice Oh. We've split it up very much into the three pillars for each of us to concentrate on our respective area. But. We'll very much communicate between us to make sure everything cross pollinates as business began. That's really interesting, so charlie was already instigating that. Up Salute very much, so and you know. Being on because he's role also broad within it, but he had very much started instigating the changing. Even the prior to. Myself Scott Elkins fulfilling the deputy role to Charleen twenty pain Laura. Marquez from Ferrari was the deputy and Moscow petoskey from? Was the F. I.. The department sort of said that was part of the succession planning that already started happening a number of years earlier Michael Can, we talk a little bit about Charlie and. The influence he had on your correa. I I worked really closely with Charlie sitting up the inaugural crane grumpy, so at the time I was working full Cams Confederation of Australian Motorsport now motorsports trial and got sikanda decree a for six months to help establish that first event, which was a mammoth task time right, but that was really the first time where we worked closely together. I arrive there. I think it was June twenty ten. And you remember fans of if. Will remember that. There was a lot of talk, even then if the actual event was going to happen. So my focus went from trying to train Korean officials and organized. That's all out of it to effectively becoming a pseudo project manager and conjured of information to. Charlie and the President Sean taught at the time on pride, grace and It was a huge part, but my. How much contact did you have with? Charlie by then a.

"Day Sixty Oh my God you guys have been playing fortnight for like eight hours straight. Listen to me if you have any assignments that you will literally fall out of school. If you don't turn go do them. This has been homeschooling day. One versus homeschooling day sixty from the. What fresh hell podcast? Before we move into solution say one more thing that has really helped me. Reframe my thinking on this. I think one of the things that is going along with regression and this I noticed in my little kids but I really notice it in my twenty kids now is that there is also a ton. Some of this regression is what my mother therapist family therapists would call boundary seeking behavior And that is a really interesting way for me to frame it in my mind because the problem with giving in is not that you'll have a kid who is sucking their thumb until they're twenty the problem with giving in that sometimes your kids are seeking boundaries because they feel like the world's as I understand it has fallen apart everything's different. I don't understand the rules anymore. I am going to push and push and push on my mom to make sure that the rules are still there because that makes me feel safe such a good point and so the idea of like a kid who is suddenly telling you to blank off and you know that's an a behavior you've never seen in an ally your eleven year old before what they are asking you with that behavior. Is I feel really unsafe. Are you still my mom? Who gives me boundaries? Yeah and so you have to be like that is unacceptable. I understand that you are anxious in a terribly difficult situation but you will never behave that way in my house. That is what they're asking you for him and they may ask it a lot and repeatedly and it may be really frustrated because you're also very depleted right now but I think even sometimes the baby talk in the thumb sucking is kind of M. I still safe. Is there someone to tell me not to do this? Is there someone to keep me hemmed in? And my mom would always say you bring your boundaries in when that happens because they want to go a little bit outside of the boundary and to see that it's still there And I think that that is a really good thing to remember and I'm constantly reminded of it myself right now and I know a lot of people with tweens and teens are seeing that constant boundary seeking behavior. This might be like. Oh there's a pandemic going on I'm going to sneak out and hang out with my friends. The reason you shut that down is because it's dangerous behavior but be because they're saying like. Are you here to keep me safe? That's what they're you. They're seeking reassurance. And so the best way to address. These behaviors is with reassurance. That's actually where the experts like Margaret Abel's and others. Gosh say you have to start? I once my son was dancing around the living room. And I said you're a good dancer. You should take dance lessons. And he stopped dancing and looked at me and he said I should teach dance lesson for confidence. He's not that good answer but I should write. Parenting articles is what I'm saying. Amy You should have this quote right here Dr Laura Marquez. We've talked about her on the show before she's always good advice and she says in this situation. The best intervention is reassurance. So that's the first thing that works and doctors her harmony in Loco and theodore a stern talk about regressive behavior. I'll put this link in the show notes to not in terms of corona virus. This article is was for doctors in hospitals with adult patients who are like acting like babies people who are in the hospital for a long. Stay completely unrelated to the moment. We'll start doing some crazy. Weird regressive stuff and the way to fix it. These psychologists say with adults is to address the underlying. Unmet need of the person and you can apply that to the kid to you have to figure out what's the unmet need. We know what the unmet need is right. I'm freaking out. Helped me not feel freaked out? Mom addressing. That need will usually fix the behavior. It so interesting I was on a zoom call with bunch of MOMS the other day and somebody said Oh well. My kid doesn't have his tablet right now at this. They had didn't have their screens. Why all of the MOMS. Who had similar age like Oh. They've been lying and I was thinking about our episode where we talk about. How lying is a symptom? Lying isn't really. It's not a personality trait. It's a symptom. And it's a boundary seeking behavior till. Yeah so in that case if the kid is lying that's of another regressive behavior right. It is if they're lying you need to address their insecurity. It's hard because with a four year old. You can't say like I know you're sucking you're on because you're very anxious about you know like you have to do it appropriately and if you said to your fourteen old. I know you're trying to curse at the dinner table because you're actually feeling very sad about not being able to see your friend. I mean they'll if you try to tell them what they're feeling. They will smack you down for sure especially as they get older. Yeah and I don't think that you ever let the behavior go. Because we're saying is it's boundary seeking. You say let's stop sucking her thumb and let's not curse at the dinner table or you'll have to leave the dinner table because you're cursing and hopefully tomorrow night you have better behavior. You know whatever your boundary is when they hit it you enforce it yes except if it's like potty stuff you know potty training accidents and that kind of thing that's something that you probably want to use a light touch with like if they're suddenly having accidents or they suddenly want hoop in their underwear. Then you know you kind of need to blank face it as you would say I mean. Clean up the accident. You don't knowledge that it happened but you don't give them an angry response. You don't give it a ton of response. Claire Lerner says that you should just say well. It's your body and you're deciding where you want to make peeps in poops and so you're showing me that you want to wear a diaper right now and then let them where the diaper the pull ups and follow their lead. Don't make a huge battle for control because they are here for that battle. They got all day. They're home with us. They got all day and I think that's the same and it's I need this reminder so much right now with my eleven year old. The blank facing is the key that the boundary is hit. And it's okay if you choose to speak to me that way. I'm not going to be able to help you with your homework. So I'm GonNa leave and if you can speak correctly let me know otherwise. I'm afraid you're not going to get help with your schoolwork today and that's probably GonNa Affect your grade by by and it's not because I am also regressing. I am jumping at every piece of bait. You know we're GonNa talk to me in that way in this house and it's like they're checking to see if I can stay calm. Failing the test a lot but it's just good to remember that it is. Unfortunately we don't that dinner table so I'm going to have to ask you and you're providing reassurance and then we're going to go on with our dinner you've hit the boundary and I'm not going to be the pop-up toy that goes crazy. I'm going to just say that's not how we behave. And here's the consequence it's steady and calm and yes the boundaries. Here right where it always is. And we don't have to yell out of because you know this. Yeah Oh gosh. It's so true when you can do that. And it's so hard to do but it does work. Okay clingy kids. Here's some good advice if you have a kid who's extra clingy. Right now. I mean you sort of in it to the extent that you can but you know what they're seeking seeking connection with you so give them a big hug when they're not asking for it when they're not talking a baby voice when they're not expecting it at all give them extra affection. Hugh time maybe an extra story at bedtime given these things when they're not asking for it in the annoying way they've come up with because you know that's what they need or and also because I'm dealing with this with my eight year old right now. Who's always like Mommy? How while she's supposed to be doing her schoolwork. It's become kind of like baby talk. I need a Hog. Mommy touchstone and it's irritating and not that winning and it's also cute. I guess people might be listening to this and the general monster but I mean it's clearly a manifestation of like I don't want to be doing home schooling and I need this kind of attention that I almost always indulgent like. Oh Mommy hugs. I've always got those despair. Come over here. Cuddle cuddle cuddle. Great now back to your work. You know that it doesn't become it's like of course I'm always hug you take care of you but you're not fully me go back to work. It's not going to become a thing of like this. Is your tool for getting out of stuff. You're not letting the goalposts move further and further back right same thing when it shows up at eight thirty at night. Mommy I love you I wanna be in bed with you. Great come on hop up. Well let's do this for five minutes before you go your regular bed yet. And so you indulge it and you try to fill the need but you don't move the goalposts. That's key for bedtime stuff. You can expand the bedtime routine right. Give them an extra story. I'm reading a book at night to my seventh grader. She's not a seventh grader yet but she will be soon reading a book to her at night before bed. I mean I'm enjoying that right. I have the time. It's comforting from me. We have this thing that connects us right now but which is like for fifteen minutes before I go to bed and last night I was like do late late. This happening at least in my house bedtime is creeping later and later without these external things in place that usually are and so I went to bed before my twelve year old last night but that was fine because we have this consistent routine of what I can offer her when I can and that reassurance seems to be working and don't forget this Sunday reset. We've talked about this before but we do. This Sunday's is your bedtime is creeping towards ten o'clock this. We need to get back to eight thirty bedtime. Frio you're eating is really pretty gnarly and you are making yourself three desserts day. I'm finding let's cut that down and it's a good time to have back to one your goal and like introduce that idea to your kids which is listed a hard time. We're all I know for myself. I mean I really. My eating habits are out of control struggling to exercise. It's freezing cold and raining every day. We just had snow in New York. I mean I am baking and eating and just getting listen. Do I need to look like a supermodel and do my swimsuit calendar in the fall? I really don't but I know for myself. They gaining forty pounds and not exercising for.

"Laura Marquez like six nine which would be so sad if he he's six nine and then he lists the mess seven foot inch coat now be surprising because literally I tell the story all the time especially since this out we literally it was in high school. We've can prepare for a playoff game and we were playing the game before. He played semi and they were listed. Heights and the coach literally looked and said Blah Blah Blah Blah. I don't see the person but it was doing but he was like I'll put out a fake name Jake. I'll tell you I I listen to you looking at are like literally so I was the other way like the coast wouldn't even ask you. He just give you one good looking six two six one some light so team you know we always give ourselves inch like garrick all every time. I hear somebody x-derrick. I'll tell the edges add six four the choosing three ebisu facts 'cause. I don't care what nobody say anyway. How big is obviously wearing. They might they might get a couple but I don't. It's not that I don't think the boys can be a playoff teams not that. I don't think they are bubble playoff playoff things. I definitely do my whole thing that I don't think they're out of the Ballpark as a couple of these teams because they have a lot that they need to lean on the biggest thing that scares me meal in and then some of these guys gotta hit and come and play because we've seen times good at auto quarter been were kind of flaked out has auto Puerto Really yes. It's time on the wizards. I was like they need need auto porter to be the legitimate third guy. I don't know I remember that went playoff series. He was one place because he only made the playoffs twice and they got eliminated related to put our thinking of that guy type dude. I think guy who's GONNA fit his role type and he's not that that guy but it's just that clear cut thurbers. Please come and a lot of times. I'm not even say a Lotta Times. He wasn't even court wasn't even there. I think he's the biggest car because if he goes down we have. We don't really don't have. I don't feel confident with Denzel. Valentine is back board Chandler Hutchison so if he goes down which he has a history of doing the necker really derail everything. We spent so much time TAME BUT WE'RE GONNA move up to number twenty. We do talk embedded. I'll talent today. How can you be a coach now understand how to put in. You don't know how is your weapon. How do you have to slow for the team that he has said. We weren't slowest painting illegally house even possible. How's it impossible just off getting Kobe White. There won't won't be a problem. They're going to be on Komo. I'm trying to see how long this being going to last and I love sat around seven the point. I watched my my not the actual game because God damn y'All y'all CETERA ask you at the small store is really know where some articles because six seven apparently leap. We'll see officially. I think he really is he does but yeah fi but effort talented guy for like like six six rally healthy. I'm so excited for these heights by the way I know it doesn't it doesn't matter at the end of the day but this is going to be fought for us. I mean the the sixers one came out. Nothing really surprising right even if there happens small. It doesn't seem like there's still going to do what they do. Exactly I mean Ben Ben Simmons Not Being Sixteen. Don't matter yeah I needed to know. It was the hawks tie with the ball. The widgets were below them awesome us. It's really say about the wizards to be honest number twenty Brian. I think he's going to make significant nonsignificant John but I think he's going to be better most improved player type candidate Thomas Bryant the Timber Wolves Number Twenty. I had the next higher I mean feel shame to say that just because I I like what they have like what they can do their another team which is like you we need. You don't know what you wings and I just think they need wiggins to get back to what what he was. When Zach Levine was there. I just think that they do. I like Jira call but again. He's a rookie. I don't know how they're gonNA play. 'em. How they're going to use them. You Know Jeff T is unless his deal but what is he going to be the starting point guard who their backup plan right after him because there's no one Jones it's a very I can tell you yeah I mean. The best thing that could have for them is that they have Karl. Anthony towns that they have a bone of the kind of put them up because if I am he's so good. He's GonNa win them game. Yeah yeah he is and then they are Robert Covington like I know volley. They being an ethnic last year. I got a chance to see him. I think you'll be cool next think Carney tousands just that good and volley has some versatility at the forest by but after him who was then who who is the backup. I know they don't really have much depth at at any depth. I don't even know who these people are. GonNa play like like mostly we can look at on TV that Lincoln Maine New and seven eight nine because all three towns roster so point guard I got. FC Jordan McLaughlin mcglone Sabbah's neighbor isn't a roster to Ron Wallace. They got jalen. Hill K. Debates Diop August Zang so near nothing on that same with other starting lineup got some game name is Josh. Josh Akagi is off the events they they gotta have the experiment. I think they'll have to the big lineup. I mean Karl downs wiggins or jerk over make him you league are that don't be the back court put. Covington at that three and of Noah violent therefore the town of five off the bench gorge Dane Josh a Kogi Gets F. T. you know Jake Lie Lehman I got he wouldn't even on this damn depth and he made the depth. Nasr read at LSU begins to weigh right. Now's route two way they actually signed those reman but I like this but he hasn't been that long either so their front office hasn't been amazing as and they're in the history number nineteen the New Orleans Pelicans this same is a wild card to me because I need to see them play together. A is this one of those things like we got a lot of good young pieces young pieces fit together. That's the main thing for me because it could go either way they can be attained the that can't be like almost ABC or they can be at the bottom to me. I don't think I won't be at the bottom. I think they're going to be like for sure is like twelve or or I mean you start off with jrue. Holiday is allows wall so he's ready to be. AP Taking the team drew holidays would you call it former identity and he's you know Mvp the twentieth tonight come on our guard the best player true but I liked his team and I think this is a team. That's actually GONNA in a fit together. I wouldn't be meals on that. One hundred percent I mean scares me. Through holiday allows ball defensively backward and drew can play with Lonzo. He doesn't really need the pound pound pound rail Brandon Ingram. He can just be who he is. He doesn't have to coexist with the Bron. I had a ball out of his hands as Rondo Lonzo ball do he do and he's also very good. Defend also taught Brandon Ingram potentially has despite these more potential than results yet. The defense he played now is like all effort you just hustle and we gotta get actually like his body's rosters security biographies. I have to do too much as a as a rookie and I I like it like that. From the Grizz Ma Knicks you'd probably I had to show him this twenty and ten why people act so surprised as I say six what is that why do people talk about listening listening to fix seven on twitter and I was known number eighteen is Dallas Mavericks another team. Eh I think their their lack of debt is gonNA come back and bite them at the end of the day but they got the two pieces you know they got pieces and they're still building around that. I do liked squad. There's rumors that they're trying to make that big splash whether it'd be for Bradley beal who we don't know if is officially available when they get. I don't know they don't takes away mad. If these data he got one year option. I'll tell you like go for nothing yeah Bradley because they say he's not even Joe Bradley beal I seen because I was looking at the thunder thunder munching so I was just looking at things and they were saying how the he can make a big three. You traded for Chris Paul which would be Goran Dragic Meyers Leonard the entering Jones junior and then mm-hmm. They can give some second round picks because they don't have any. I don't even think they have seconds. I think they give it a seconds away every year so bone. That's how you Chris Paul then they said flipping Dingo Bradley beal by giving Justice Winslow Mandera talked about this a New York yeah yeah we did this trash. Our it sounds so familiar yeah I was just talking trash like man that he can go out there and give Bradley beal and Chris Paul. No justice winslow's go into the wizards. The only thing is they say Bam Bam. Maybe you tyler hero and then I think they're like Russell Russell. The whole Russell will be gone Chris Paul Bradley Beal Jimmy Butler and it'll be like Kelly starts getting dolled nightly barbecue chicken number seventeen. The Mavericks August on number seventeen is the Detroit Pistons Tins Basketball. This means that we think they are playoff team. The top sixteen nano nine hundred zero necessarily they're going to be in the mid. West Ktar think Eddie Joe Johnson is going to be solid for them just because they edit articles because I don't think five ten minutes no but he gets put him in if they could put him on the court when it's like around crunch time I think that's where they benefit the most but also they don't have much wind up anyway so fucking Joe Dawson Twenty five minutes in Houston with Dan Tony who he's splash. We didn't even play so it was kind of freshly but they got tony snail now every video. Tori snail cooked by different plants offseason. We've got debugging wiggins like he's got some good defense. He just getting his practice in trying to be a first tim. I'll be yes yes. They had to hear them like this is a good sign for weeks..

"Stadium last week the packers took a rare home loss at Lambeau to the Eagles and the cowboys suffered their first loss awesome the hand hands of the saints styles had their worst offensive output of the year with Dakyns Zeke struggling. There won't be any room for that with Aaron Rodgers coming to town so Shannon who wins on Sunday. You'RE NOT GONNA do over here. Scale Bela's look wait. I don't normally look what I try not to do. Is that what I had to do this. Yesterday I got on the packers website and I look Davante. Adams did a little jogging on the side. Basically nothing brand blogger starting right tackle limited did basically out stop if you think you think he goes snooker me debate pick this game. I'm not doing this bayless. Look this visit. They bury bad matchup for the packers. You skip bayless first of all the packers are dead last in rush defense there the fourth worst I in yards per carry given a five per game by a student propagate five yards per carry the Dallas cowboys. They're not going to fall into that trap trap what happened against New Orleans. They're going to be held being. Oh y'all think we're the running team that showed up in New Orleans last week. Well let me show you. We're better better at running the football the Minnesota better running the football the Denver Broncos we're better than the eagles that drop the book seventy six the last time you took the field packers Akkas. 'cause you know why we have something you don't we have Zeke Elliot and you did it with two guys so Zeke is about to go for probably about a buck fifty beggar the cowboys what's GonNa win this game because Zeke not because the deck that's what you WanNa have happened but Zeke will carry the tabloids to a victory is still going to be a close game because you know why because they got Aaron Rogers or Rodgers. Go make this game competitive but I don't like the match up especially because I don't believe Bramble I don't play and de la aw gives a backup Marcus Laura Marquez loan yeah it we're bramble with backyard have his hands full on that Turf Robert Quinn and to get if it back so all these guys coming back you think you sleep you think you will look into. I can give you know bad bets. No no evidence really we'll take the cowboys twenty seven urban twenty but I tell you what I wish I was about to have. I hope a freight please let the packers the cowboys again in the playoff or at some one point in time probably GonNa have the playoffs in Davonte atoms. There Bryan Berlanga there. I don't care what he play. It can be Jerry's world. It can be Lambeau. It can be our you won't take the air but but enjoy this one enjoyed this little victory here because we injured. Did I just hear Shannon Sharpe. Pick the dallas cowboys over Aaron Rodgers. Did I just hear that. No I'm picking the Dallas cowboys over the Green Bay packers who are injured really were injured. Are you pranking me. Is this like no no but don't they come okay. You're coming so I want the world all to know that oh he of little faith across from me just folded his tent and ran ran into the hills to hide because all all I hear every day on the show is Aaron Rodgers greatest throw the football ever. He's transcended has a passer. We've never seen anything like Aaron Rodgers Yeah. He thought his family family values scandal. That's where you're gonNA throw into Jimmy Graham really Jimmy Grab. You saw Ronaldo Jeronimos good. Don't have you heard your airplane Geragos Yeah. Have you heard field. They've dropped him when he's in the end zone and caught another one from Aaron Rodgers and you so you so Jimmy Graham twice last Thursday night touchdown the possibly could have won the game over mad throws. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. I thought this was the Aaron Rodgers who he's been telling me. We've OWNS THE DALLAS COWBOYS I've been saying he's got a hacks over the Dallas cowboys because he gets more breaks than any quarterbacks ever gotten a against any certain team that he's played played in your folding your Tan on him. He's playing DAK Prescott who can't throw says the hall of Famer can't throw via Devante atom that would take him what they did what they did you say Louis Jordan Louis last year yeah well. Let's see what happened. The last time Rogers visited Jerry World 2017 who star that game. It wasn't Aaron Rodgers. It was Aaron Jones am I right now. Aaron Jones ran for one hundred twenty five that day and I just kept saying stopping stopping it reminded me of the playoff game here in La last January the reason why that happens is that they were playing coverage on they have the utmost men Aaron Rodgers ability to throw the they're gonNA play coverage this time with Gantlet Alison. Here's what I'm not buying devante. Adams is not ruled out for this one a bat that he plays this game. I told you yesterday and I'm going to stand by Devante will play all those injured. They were just limited half a dallas. The team was limited. How to the Mari look nobody joy? He told me the other night who gives a hobby because they just want to go get laying well. What did Amari say on Wednesday say? He said I got all kinds of things wrong with me. His foot is still hurting plant all cash artists and he roll roll design. Hi Look he's got your basic high ankle sprain and should not have played at Charlotte. Look Yup okay now you know with her. Even Steven One guy's got a turf. Tell the other guys got bad feet. My guys got too bad feet. I'll tell you when you're you're running from. I know I know guys you know. Dion had dion toll made them call it a career Jonathan Ogden. I've seen it s okay Yup got a job. He's going to play this is America's team in America's game of the week on Fox. Four Twenty Five Live eastern be there. He'll be there skew why Aaron Rodgers is so good against Dallas because he's such a front running showboat and hot dog loves this. This is his stage. It's Jerry World. It's the world stage is what I used to hate about a topic coming up a little later. We're GONNA talk about front running but here's the thing we're not going to wildwood. DEVANTE atoms risk further setting himself back one game when we still Dallas Dallas. I'll stop it it. This is where all the big concerts the biggest fights everything takes place Jerry World Gilbert including Aaron Rodgers skill. You do realize that after this game Gabe there's Levin to play so okay. He plays here inches of the Tokyo or in that. He's out eight nine games. What is that doing? You know what I think. Joy is is just happened. I think he is seeing the light. That's what's happening in. I'm going to go so far as to call this a turning point game even though to your point it's obviously still very early in the football season a turning point games curious because they did lose twelve. I'm talking about my team. Not Green Bay's team. I'm talking about mine. Have I told you throughout the off season and throughout the preseason how much I believed in this team have told you that again and again I believe in my team team I believe in my quarterback I believe in the firepower of my offense even with a limited Amari by the way Michael Gallup's GonNa come back. Thank so got that going for us and I believe in the potential of my defense but I underline that word potential I saw flashes of brilliance at New Orleans albeit be it against Teddy Bridgewater they do have Kamera and they do have Michael Thomas and they didn't get Nian zone and that's a pretty good start for that defense. They didn't play anybody in the first three that that was their first test but this is the one they failed because they lost but that's the only reason they failed now. You have to bounce back against another good team. Not a great team not a very good team just a good team. The green bay packers featuring an Aaron Rodgers who's on the downside of his career. He's not what he used to be. Eh He made this is completion percentage his QBR healing four straight years okay forced air rogers says skip bayless Aaron Rodgers the quarterback that he wants eighteenth and Qbr right now twenty-fourth in completion percentage in the league and its product and he's going to be playing with Brian Balogh and you're gonNA be playing without an will not. They're gonNA apply just watch but how well they place. I don't know but he if he's that guide you still say he's the best he's up there. Why didn't they would Amar with it limited on Sunday? Why didn't that deliver them if he got what you see it? You don't have your number one number two receiver if you take both of them away you got nothing. I don't have how the Jimmy Graham at tight end. I don't have the wedding who goes to the hall of older than you are. You Could Outrun Abraham but you act look Jason Witten. He caught the ball. You turn up got two touchdowns. What did he do? What eighty Sunday night coughed it up? He's thinking thank you joy. He had a hair fuller here a little TV had Kojak. You remember Kodjak hotels of our yeah yeah so here's the point Dallas is better than Green Bay. I believe that with all my heart and soul but now it's time to be that Oh blow do that. No I'm. Let's say now. It's time let me thin. Can I talk today. I don't know you're all revved up on what he's been drinking. Goi Go no go. That's not any any talk. Go ahead so it's time for my team to rise and shine and do that. It's time on the national virtually the National Stage 425 game to to rise up and show America you're wrong. You're overreacting about the twelve ten loss and do this live up to all look at all the accolades this team after a loss pro football focus still rank the dallas cowboys this week number one the best team that the the second level stat from football outsiders. I don't WanNa get too deep into this but that that Devi oh a it's supposed to be the stat I never talk about it because I can't even understand it but it right now ranks Dallas above Kansas City in Dvr so they got that going and then ESPN's football power our index this week even after the New Orleans Games game projects the Super Bowl matchup the number one super bowl matchup to be New England Dallas. Okay that's fine that all means nothing to me until you go out and do it on Sunday and here's my only issue was Sunday. you go out. I you need to pay Aaron Rodgers back because he has shown you. He's been the luckiest quarterback in the history of Dallas Cowboy growing as not just for just for perspective perspective on this. Can we see the desk catch just one more time because I can't I just everybody knows and I know the cowboys. Watch our show so I hope they're watching right right now and I hope they get fired back up this because this is the all time robbery he catches it. He runs with it actually for about a strident half he runs with it too strides rides and then he tries to slam it on the goal line like running back. He is left handed and they said that's not a catch. Are you kidding me. In a bunch of cowboys still on this this roster the whole offensive line virtually played in that game wit and Jason Witten and Sean Lee played in that game so they should all say we got to get some revenge on Aaron Rodgers this week and then what happened in the playoff game when he sees seen season. Why do we catch the ill because Mason Mason Crossbar caught the two biggest breaks on field goals I have ever seen can we just see the two field goals just to keep everybody's mind straight on this? I want the cowboys to see these. That's the first one hit it. It's slice it..

"Listen, subscribe, now, this is on point. Meghna chucker bardy. We're talking about technology in long distance relationships this hour, Joe Pinsker is with us. He's written about this for the Atlantic, where he covers families in education. The Don black is also with us, she's author, an author and a relationship expert in an online relationship coach for match dot com. Yahoo and several other websites. And while the comments are really tumbling in fast and furious Jaso Turner, says, I'm two minds of this part of me thinks, I'd rather just be single. But another part of me has to concede if you find a soulmate and this is your option for a while, while you do what you need to do to maintain the relationship. So Jaso Turner says its deflated his visceral inclination to snark. Good. Jason. I'm glad to hear that Laura Marquez. Says my two plus years away from my husband then boyfriend when he's he was deployed was hard. But we didn't rely on technology exclusively letters and surprise gifts are romantic also lack of physical intimacy forced us to become closer emotionally. So on this note of deployments, leading to long term long distance relationship. Let's go to Adrian who's calling from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Adrian, you're on the air. Hi, thanks for taking my call. Great to have you. So, so you're, you're connected to remember the military. Well, I am actually active duty myself, and I'm a embedded and then I'll help provider with a regular with the deployment with a unit that deploys regularly. And so I just wanted to comment that with the sailors that I serve and myself technology is certainly something that we rely on to stay in stay connected with our spouses, or children are significant others and our family back home, and it is something that has certainly come a significantly long way over the past decades that has been immensely helpful to us. But at the same time because it's so easily accessible now. It's it's no longer, just as some of your callers, and commenters and said, you get the good news. But you also get the bad. And so instead of it being kind of like it was back in previous, conflicts and say, we'll just use stereotypical Vietnam, where you'd get a letter once a month or such as that would give you an update on how things are going so well, and keep you motivated and looking forward to coming home. You're, you're hearing about the broken dishwasher. And you're you may even be asked to, you know, get a hold of the provider yourself, the, the mechanic mountain fix it because maybe your spouse doesn't know who to call or doesn't feel comfortable doesn't have the time and you're half a world away, but you're being asked to fill this role that really you're not present for, and it adds this, it can add, this additional layer of stress to already deployed servicemember, and that's kind of what I'm there for. But at the same time I just feel like it's kind of technology become this really two sided. Coin where it's really great. And it allows us to stay connected back home. But it allows us to stay connected to the day to day struggles back home as well. That we, although we may feel that we need to be involved with, we need to help with we really can't because there's not much you can do when you're thousands of miles away on deployment Adrian, thank you so much for your call. Joe pinsker. What, what are you hearing? What Adrian saying? Yeah. I think my my what's occurring to me. Now is just that. Yes, it's true. That technology is bringing in both the good and the bad. But what I would argue is that relationships have a mix of good and bad, and, and working through some of the harder. More difficult stuff is actually how you build intimacy. And so, yes, I probably you don't wanna be hearing about the broken dishwasher..

"Hundred. Thirty five. Final and total Yokich tonight. Eighteen points, eleven assists in April downs in twenty five minutes. Could absolutely have hit a triple doubles tonight. But he did get a double double negative, double double. Don't forget tomorrow. You go to Wendy's a free fresh never frozen burger with any purchase valid at any participating in greater Denver front range area. Head downstairs, here's head coach, Mike Malone. Yeah. I think there was a the response. We're all hoping for after a tough loss against Golden State first quarter, obviously cut off to a decent start. But Dr challenge our guys answered you know, they had thirty points in that first quarter and on their way to one twenty and second quarter seventeen points allowed and that third quarter might have been one of their better quarters of the season. So tomorrow got going joke was great Paul, Tori. Maliki early Baliccot nine everybody contributive Vic, so great response. But we have one more game to finish out. These first eleven games in one thousand nine days against Cleveland, and we can get that one to finish eight and three kind of come up for air and get rid of a Utah. They'll be a great great thing for us. Given all the games on nice was rest your starters there in the fourth quarter. Yeah. It was that's always great. And just as important scraped for the other guys who get out there and play. Trey Lyles coming back from the risk. Try to find his rhythm want show was really active energetic, all over the place. Monty mason. I love watching Mason Plumlee, play his his activity. So then even late getting Brandon and Tyler in the game. You know, any minutes. You can get them is minutes well-deserved because those guys work their butts off for us after the first quarter. You got in the huddle. And you told your team let's bring our defense bring our defense. You didn't the second. What what is your defense? How would you define a I would say when we're at our best defensively were into people teams feel us. We're dictating to them as opposed to being reacting to everything they do were up were aggressive and were flying around giving multiple effort, and I think you know, from the first quarter to that second quarter. There's a marked difference. And Laura Marquez is a heck of a player. He killed us in the first half second half, you only at seven points xactly main is one of the most talented players tonight. But I thought the combination of Tori, and Gary Harris guarding him two points going into the fourth quarter time. So we did a hell of a job on him. And just tried wanting to go do it, and I was pissed off because we talked about everybody wants to be an approved defensive team. And first quarter. We didn't play like we wanted to be that team fourth quarter. We didn't do it either. So we you know, we played great defense. Second and third. So that's the challenge for close to forty eight minutes is possible when Jamal was feeling in the third quarter. I a green light you just sit back and say do what you want. Yeah. But you know, what I like to he was getting shots out of the offense. It wasn't just him coming down and jacking, you know, it was actually him. We call the play. He makes a great read. He bumps back. It's a three. So when he has a going like that, obviously he can get hot in a hurry. And he had twenty two points. I believe in that third quarter. So great job of him getting into that rhythm finding that shot and taking good shots. Not just, you know, a wild shot so happy for Jamali get that ball going in the basket. You mentioned Gary he'd been out for for ten days perimeter defense is a hard thing to play in this league. I mean, you need everybody you can to to carry that task. What did you think of him tonight? And how important just as to what you guys tried to do on that end of the floor. Oh, he's so important. I mean having him back with. Great. I thought he was terrific. Obviously he had a minute restriction wanted to keep them around eighteen minutes, which is great that we were able to do that. But offensively he had a great rhythm. Great patients shot. The ball will got to the Cup and made a couple of great passes in that first half in pick and rolls and then defensively as I mentioned earlier, I thought Tory and Gary their defense on Zach LeVine was phenomenal. I mean, if you can shut a guy like Zach LeVine down for three quarters only having two points. That's the job. Well done season. I in three pointers made tonight any particular reason for that. I love the fact that we have thirty four assists only seven turnovers. So when you don't turn the ball over you're going to give yourself a chance to get shots off. But to go twenty of forty from the threes, a fantastic number. I think it's extra willingness to play together play for each other. Find the open man, and that's contagious. You know, and. Even Jamal had a going Paul had a going other guys had a gong as well. And the ball finds the open man did once again tonight you began your comeback in the first quarter year down by seven when Bill set goes outputs that put back dunk and Paul look different. He looked more athletic tonight. Coming around. Yeah. Hope so he did look you had that bounce you know, and even driving the ball. He he had an extra gear tonight, which is good to see. And then when Paul is active defensively thought, he did a good job tonight on that end rebounding scoring the ball, but a lively Paul Millsap and active Paul Millsap is a really effective player. And tonight was another example of the second season.

I mean, if I've been going at it since I don't remember, I think that would have been my. To America to. My reporting. I did see that. No, Ohio State team had ever scored more than fifty. Dwayne Haskins broke every big ten passing record under the sun that day and he did have five touchdowns. But then they decided that they wanted to give him six because at one yard pass. Like shovel handle thing to the Paris went to the house. Yeah. Hadn't him Heisman Heisman candidacy stats? I guess. But anyway, I'll see y'all on Saturday in Indianapolis. You're awesome. He just made the best damn band. You. Here. Awesome, man. Thank you. Cooking. Anyway, you said we were leaving. So we're leaving. Thank you. Ladies and gentlemen, that is mardi party in a nutshell. Those are the fathers of two great Ohio State players. And just so, you know, here's why we chatted with them. So I'm doing this live shot after the game. I had I had interviewed coach Meyer. I had interviewed Dwayne Haskins after the game and right outside of Ohio states locker room. I have there's a Twitter show actually a lot. It wasn't a live shot. It was a it was a report for this Twitter show that Jason Fitz has he's been a guest on my podcast, and it was wildly wildly popular. So thank you guys for listening to that. And I just kind of turn around turn on the camera. And I was amongst a bunch of Ohio State parents and those two clowns one of them is just pointing right at my face and the other one just just he's out of frame. He's not in front of the camera. And he just stone faced lease right in front of the camera right in front of my face and right back out again. And they went viral. It went crazy as you heard them say they're still getting calls and their sons think that they're crazier than they thought their dads were before the game. So what Travis you don't have kids yet. That's parental victory. If you can make your kids go what in the hell is wrong with you, dad. You have one parenthood. Thank y'all for hanging out. We'll see you next time around. "Miss apprehend where the American people are on this. I think most Americans are probably shocked to hear that illegal aliens living in the United States have a child and that child becomes an automated citizen. I think most people they don't focus on these issues. Are you know, off doing other things Trump all of a sudden brings it up what? And then you go UK doesn't allow it. Spain doesn't allow it. France doesn't allow it Canada does allow it it other than the United States. The only really advanced economy the allows this bingo, automatic citizenship and Trump brings it up. And we'll see where it goes. But I think I think this as a matter of common sense, setting aside, the constitutional language, which it does not require what the left claims that requires. It's it's open to debate. It's a fascinating subject. Joining us. Now, Mark Krikorian? We'll also get to your calls. Eight five five forty. Laura Marquez Koreans going to settle some of this forest. Mark the president brings this up. Yesterday, and the media they're Pavlovian response are basically saying, oh, how dare he? How dare he dog? Whistle dog. Whistle once again. Yeah. Well, I mean that's to be expected, quite frankly. But the president is I mean, I think this is a smart move. I haven't seen the executive order hasn't been issued yet. But what I assume is is that he is interpreting a clause within the fourteenth amendment in such a way as to not automatically give citizenship to kids born to tourists. Or fallen students really aliens that phrase it's complicated to get on the radio, but it's called subject to the jurisdiction thereof. That phrase is in bigamous spring court has never ruled on it. There's never been any legislation saying, that's what this means. So it's perfectly appropriate. In fact, long overdue for the president to say, this is my interpretation what's going to happen? If somebody's gonna sue it's going to end up before the supreme court, and then we'll have a ruling one way or the other about whether the kids born to tourists. Our or illegal aliens are automatically citizens or not. And depending on how they rule then whoever doesn't like it, can, you know, try to do something amendment or something. But it, but the only way to get this process even started. Is for the president to do this issue an executive order? I mean is that the State Department won't issue passports, for instance, to kids born to Chinese bursts tourist stood women who and then somebody will sue you will find one of them. They'll sue. And then it'd be lost. You this is you know, whenever you think about this issue. Whatever you think the policy should be this is the smart way to t- up the issue. So we can move it along in the process of public debate. Because all we're doing now. Well, I think Senator in eighteen sixty eight x and somebody says no other Senator in eighteen sixty eight meant why when the amendment was passed that's pretty sterile. That's not getting us anywhere. This really is. I think moving the ball forward, regardless of what you think of the issue. I think this is smart move on the part of the present completely agree. We have to get this thing resolved. I mean, this Long Beach birth motels Florida birth motels, the Chinese the Russians Mexican South Americans. It is becoming a booming business just in Russia alone. And they get around all the other restrictions on on what we want from Russian investment in the United States by suddenly, you have a kid was a passport and your golden gold has if a kid has a passport he can go to for instance, UC Berkeley at lower rates, that's one of the reasons people from Korea and Turkey who do this as a way of helping their kids dodge the draft once they get older because they can just hop on a plane and go to the United States, and then they don't have there's all its retirement point for some people because you know, you're having a kid at thirty. Well, by the time, your kid is an adult and has a job and is working if you want he can sponsor you for immigration. So that when you're finished working will retire in the United States. I mean, there are a bunch of different reasons. People do this none of which is in the interest of the United States. It's it's fascinating. We're going to stay on this issue. And a lot more Mark Krikorian? Thank you so much for what you do from the center for immigration studies. We'll take a break. We're going to highlight one of the key congressional races. That is a winnable seat in New Jersey. Stay there. Two great signals one great way to keep up with what's happening in your world.
